Dow To Herf Episode 146 "Spruced Up" Ft Mo Maali OF Patina Cigars!

Transcript

Welcome to Down to Earth, the

podcast for cigar smokers,

whiskey drinkers and for the

people just looking to kick

back, light up and have a good

time.

I'm your host Jerry and I'm

joined by, as always, my Co host

Geo and Caleb.

Fellas, fellas, fellas, happy

Black Friday.

What is up my man Caleb?

Bro I hope you guys all had a

good Thanksgiving.

I hope you guys got some good

deals.

Black Friday shopping.

I feel stuffed like a Turkey or

my stuffed from too much Turkey.

You guys take that as you may,

but Gio, how you doing?

At least it's not stuffed by a

Turkey.

Yeah, that would be pretty

awful.

Did you hear about all those

turkeys that have been getting

like, molested?

Yeah, butter bean.

What is it?

Butter, Butterball, the

Butterball turkeys, they were

like getting molested or

something.

What's happening with that?

Good thing I didn't get a

butterball Turkey bro.

I think we did I.

Hope you didn't get one more

less than.

One, you got a butterball all

right.

Gio, what's up bro?

Wow, Caleb, I'm not going to

lie, that is up there with one

of the most SUS things you've

said on the show.

You know what got to make those

intros entertaining bro?

You know if I don't captivate

you in the 1st 30 seconds we

lost you.

But thanks for the view.

Well, we have an absolute

smorgasbord.

See what it did there?

Yep.

Thanksgiving a cornucopia.

A cornucopia of things that get

to you today.

First things first, this show is

brought to you by our friends

and sponsor Crown Heads.

We absolutely appreciate you

guys.

You guys are top notch company.

John Huber.

We appreciate literally

everything you do for us.

You're the fucking man, Jake

Miguel, all you guys at the

company, we appreciate

everything you guys do for us.

Make sure you guys are checking

out Crown heads.

Make sure you're smoking the

Decimo that just came out.

Make sure you guys are checking

out the Belgian Blue that just

got dropped.

That Decimo.

Great fucking cigar. 93 from the

hearth, that is, that is a

highly rated cigar and I I got

to say, if you have the

opportunity to smoke it, make

sure you go smoke that thing.

Yeah, I mean hell.

And you know, check out the post

for it.

You'll get a crazy conspiracy

behind the cigar.

You know, John, you blew Caleb's

mind there.

Made my morning.

That was excellent.

I love it.

Yeah, this is right after his

Turkey stuffed them.

A lot of weird stuff, but make

sure you guys are checking out

crown heads.

They're great to us.

They're great to the cigar

community.

Make sure you guys are smoking

crown heads.

That being said, Gio, what did

we smoke today, my man?

Well guys, before we get into

that, I would also like to take

this moment to talk about a new

part of the HERF here.

We got a new sponsor and they

are going to be going forward

bringing you guys our cigar

introduction and review.

We'd like to take this time to

welcome our boys, Andrew and

Dave, Small Batch Cigar.

Thank you guys for signing on

with us for 2025.

We appreciate you guys.

Long time in the works here.

If you have an order from Small

Batch Cigars, what I mean,

there's not enough good things I

can say about or I'm sorry,

there's not any bad things I can

say about this company.

I mean, the shipping is

incredible.

The cigar selection is

incredible.

You know, we talked about this,

I think Jerry, you mentioned it

before the I they get from

California to New York in two

days, no extra charges.

It it it just doesn't make

sense.

I don't think that we can say

that it's a promise every time.

But I mean, I've seen and have

ordered from small batch where

you order on a Saturday and it's

there on Monday morning and you

just contemplate shipping and

you're like, how?

How is this possible?

I order something from

Pennsylvania sometimes and it

takes five days and you're just

like, I don't understand.

I could literally drive there in

three hours.

It like makes no sense at all.

But if you guys hate fast

shipping, you hate good cigars,

and you hate good people small

batches.

And for you, because they're the

opposite of all those things.

Well, and just take a look at

their Instagram, their Facebook,

anything that they offer, they

always got that new new in all

the time.

And special for our listeners.

Guys, use the promo code HERF.

HERF for 10% off your purchase

in perpetuity.

No first times.

You could keep using the code as

many times as you like and that

will get you 10% off your order.

Some exclusions do apply.

Trust me.

We did the research for you.

We found that out on our own.

But make sure you guys are

getting all your cigar needs

from smallbatchcigars.com.

And without further ado, now

it's time for me to get into

what we're smoking.

Well, this is a treat.

You guys probably read this

already in the thumbnail, but we

are going to be smoking the

Patina LE 2024, which we did

pick these cigars up from small

batch.

So this makes it so much more

fitting that this is our first

feature for them and MO will be

joining us momentarily.

But this cigar is craziness so I

believe the blend it was a was

it a broadleaf over Mexican San

Andreas with Nicaraguan filler?

Yes, and Pennsylvania broadleaf.

Yeah, a little bit in there as

well.

So talk about a mix.

I know Jerry's excited.

He's been looking forward to

this since he made the executive

decision to order these and

said, I mean, we knew he knew we

were going to say yes.

So I mean, hey, this is going to

be a fun one.

Now retail on these you get they

come in a box of 10 run Yeah, I

want to say was it 200?

I think I had it up in a second

here.

I want to get that accurate

information you guys here, but a

box will run you at 190 and

that's 10 for it here.

Now if you use that promo code

HERFF, you'll save some money on

that drop off.

You know a little bit there, 19

dollars times as hard.

We're still in Biden's economy

right now, guys.

Getting ready to make that

switch.

Yes.

That being said, this cigar also

was a 5 by 54 limited production

on this, so once they are gone

they are gone.

So get them while you can.

Obviously MO touches a little

bit about this in the future

plans of this blend, but we

don't want to spoil that.

So instead of doing that, Caleb,

what did we pair this up with?

All right guys, we paired this

with some Barrel bourbon.

This is Cast Finish series

Amberana.

This is the first edition of

this product.

It's been aged five years.

This is cast strength at 116.42

proof.

Now they only made 14,000

bottles of this blend right here

from Barrel.

Very challenging working with

amberana.

It brings out some strong

cinnamon flavors.

You guys know that if you had

amberana before tastes like a

honey bun, you know, maybe some

cinnamon toast crunch.

It's there.

The flavors there bitch strong

here on this one at 116, but

overall great amberana taste

man, I love this.

Anytime you get amberana finish,

it's very nice to drink.

What you guys think about it?

I will say a little hotter, I I

feel like the amberana is less

dominant as a flavor.

You get that heat that you're

getting from the cast strength.

I really did like this bottle.

I thought it was a really nice

pairing.

You know, you get like that

amberana sweetness with that

dark chocolate flavor that you

get from the patina limited

edition cigar.

I really like the pairing

tonight and I will say, Gio,

thanks for sharing that with us

tonight.

Yeah, I mean, hell of a bottle.

I mean, you know the sort.

Of a deal.

For it.

Get it while you can buddy.

They only have like four more

bottles so if you like it go

grab another one.

Not that you need fucking help

finding liquor, but it's under I

guess.

What MSRP now?

So you said you got it for

around 75 bucks, right?

I think with tax it was like 82.

That's a really good deal on

anything barrel bourbon usually

around here in New York, these

are running about 85 + 9095

dollars.

So good deal by you Geo.

So this is a blend component

component of straight bourbon

whiskeys further matured in

amber on a barrels bottled in

Kentucky.

I already went over the proof

right there, but so here's the

blend components right here.

So you have Indiana aged

bourbon, you have 567 and 10

year old bourbon, and then you

have some Kentucky 5 year old

aged bourbon in there as well.

The mash bill is 75% corn, 21%

rye and five and 4% malted

barley.

So a lot of sweetness from that

amberana.

But yeah, that cash strength

really kicks in for those of you

guys who don't care for the

amberana finish.

So the amberana, that sweet

cinnamon, it's not going to hit

you like that Rio from Penelope

where it's like a, you know, a

straight up cinnamon bun melting

in your mouth.

You're going to get that whiskey

component here with a little bit

of that cinnamon sweetness.

So it's not overpoweringly

sweet.

But if this is for you and you

like that cash strength, that

high proof 100 plus this

bottle's for you, go out there,

give it a try.

And like Jerry said, made a

great pairing with the cigar as

well.

Yeah, I think that rye is

probably why it was a little bit

hotter than what we were

expecting.

It's got that heat to it, yeah.

Because I didn't even know there

was any rye in this whatsoever.

So like.

I should taste the rye.

Me and you were probably.

Oh, Amberana, Yeah.

That's the first thing I

thought, and then I tasted it.

I was like, man, this thing's

got a little heat on it, Yeah.

Little little hug.

Yeah.

Oh yeah.

But a good bottle, I mean, I got

no complaints on it.

That's that.

They have a whole like wall of

all their cask series there from

barrel and they're all really

like that same price range.

Good price range man you.

Found and they had everything.

They had everything.

Like I think a Sherry cat.

I, I know we're not big on that.

There was another 10.

There's a cognac one too that's

probably really good.

Yeah, that sounds good.

Yeah, Hell yeah.

Right up your alley.

All right, that being said, why

don't we jump into this

interview all.

Right, guys, without further

ado, we're bringing you MO Molly

from Patina Cigars.

All right, guys.

Today we are joined again by MO

Molly from Patina Cigars.

MO, welcome back.

It's been a long time.

There has been.

Thank you for having me.

It's a pleasure, an honor, a

privilege, and all the other

niceties that you can think of,

but genuine.

Wow.

I don't think many people say

that about our show and coming

on, but we appreciate that.

Wow.

Yeah, yeah, normally it's like

fuck you guys a good.

Start.

Great.

Welcome.

Good start.

Things can only get worse.

I appreciate having you on.

Last time we talked to you was

PCA when we did our little

interview there.

So how have things been with you

and the company and everything

since PCA and we when we last

saw you?

Yeah.

You know, it's, it's funny, I

keep forgetting that PCA was in

March, but it's good, man.

Can't complain.

Or the Nicaragua had the release

of or the Nicaragua gone really

well, the LE has done really

well.

So at a time of the year when

typically people forget about

the pina, well, people typically

forget about the pina anyway.

But typically this part of the

year is even worse.

And the LE is really kind of

helped the brand stay in focus a

little bit in a time when you

know, we really wouldn't be.

So touching on the the LE 2024,

right, So we got these in a

couple weeks ago.

I said, dude, I got to reach out

to MO.

It's been a hot second since our

man came on.

We haven't seen you since March.

Like Caleb touched on what what

kind of I feel like Patina's

getting a little away from that

Coraline stuff, man, a couple

couple LE drops this year.

The the the new is it Oro did

Nicaragua, Nicaragua.

That's.

That's Coraline.

That's Coraline.

OK, I thought that was an LE at

first.

No man, no, no, no we.

Yeah, you fucking it up.

Baby.

Hey man, it happens.

He put out a core and an LE.

OK.

But you put out a couple new

releases this year, so it was a

busy year.

First time ever in the history

of the brand where we did two

things.

So what made you want to do an

LE this year?

They wanted to learn to walk and

chew gum.

Yeah, man, it was kind of like

time to, you know, take the

diapers off because first of

all, an Ellie for patina is like

literally 5000 cigars.

So, you know, it's not like we

saw the success of the

anniversary and people really

like that blend.

And I wanted to bring that blend

in a different size.

And that's what you're smoking

today.

But also I feel like man, there

there's so there's like a

growing core of people that

really follow the brand and you

got to give them some love.

And I feel like those are the

guys that are typically buying

these and it's kind of just like

a, hey, man, this is for you

guys, if that makes sense.

Your Jersey crew.

Yeah, yeah, by the way, Nick

says what's up?

But you know, it's like, yeah,

for those people, it's funny, I

did a Zoom curve with a group

last week, ICS, and one of the

guys on there was like, you

know, man, if I see somebody

post patina, it's an automatic

follow up because I know that if

that person's posting patina,

they got to be legit in some

way.

And I just thought that was

awesome, you know, and I hope

the brand gets that reputation,

not like a bunch of like trying

to be somebody or whatever.

Like real mother fuckers smoke

patina period.

That'd be awesome.

You're you're like the the craft

beer that was cool to drink

before Budweiser bought it.

Yeah, Yeah, exactly.

Yeah.

So except Budweiser is not

coming to buy it and.

We're just.

Going to fucking stay cool man.

Yeah, less general comes and

writes a check, right?

I don't, yeah, I don't.

I think we're OK actually.

Well, funny you say that.

So the reason I just changed

distributor was because SDG came

in and bought Sutlet Tobacco.

So I recently had to switch

distributors.

They're no longer distributing

Patina because as you guys

remember, you were in the

Saltwell booth and we met at

PCA.

Yeah.

So I mean doing a little diving

on the cigar right Connecticut

broadleaf over Mexican San

Andreas fillers from Nicaragua

and the USA, Is there some USA

broad leaf in this Pennsylvania

broad leaf?

Yes, there is.

Yeah, these it's it's got all

those notes.

This is right up my alley.

I'm a huge fan of the Broad Leaf

cigars.

I'm a huge fan of Mexican San

Andreas.

I prefer a darker cigar.

So it's got a lot of really nice

flavor notes on it, man, Really,

really does.

I'm looking forward to this.

I love this size.

I love this size.

Well, the moment I let it, the

smell started like it started

getting really great.

Now that I'm, you know, I'm just

getting into it, starting

chocolate notes are right there

right away.

Yep.

Picking it up real.

Easy, you know that broadly

Mexico combo gives you that.

You know, it's just a darker

cigar, man.

You know, it's kind of gritty.

It's like what you like, I love

classic broad leaves, like

especially like the stuff, you

know, Tata Wahey would put out

back in the day and Jaime Garcia

and, and, you know, and today,

you know, Nick Melillo and and

Steve Stock and those guys are

obviously the same factory

stock.

And so you know, it's like you

have these years and years of

people that kind of inspire you

and and the CRO magnon,

especially the mode 5 when that

was Connecticut broad Leafs, one

of my favorite broad Leafs of

all time.

So you know, it's like man, you

you just get into it and you

kind of know that profile you

want to go for, but have it has

to be a little unique too.

So I like when people say

classic broad leaf in a

different way.

So.

What do you think about

companies going from that?

You know that that broad leaf to

to the Pennsylvania broad leaf,

the Connecticut broad leaf, to

the pencil?

It is different.

It's it's completely different

in my opinion, you know, but not

profile wise.

OK, So if you're, if you talk

about cigars and flavor, that's

one conversation.

As a cigar smoker.

If you talk about cigars in

profile, that's another

conversation because to me, the

majority of us are profile

smokers.

We enjoy certain profiles and

regardless of what the wrapper

is or the binder is or the

fillers are, if it hits a

certain profile, we're open to

trying it or have a greater

chance of enjoying it.

That makes sense.

Sure.

I mean, you're seeing a lot of

companies, obviously the

scarcity of the Connecticut

broadleaf right now.

Obviously, you know, I, I see it

seems a lot of companies are

struggling to get their hands on

it right now where you're seeing

alternatives, where, you know,

guys are going and they're,

they're going after the

Pennsylvania broadleaf, you

know, just changing things up

even.

And the reason I bring this up

is because, you know, you touch

on Roma craft, the Mode 5, the

CRO magnon, CRO magnon black

Irish just changed to the

Clovis, which is a totally new

cigar.

Instead of the Connecticut

broadleaf, it's now the

Pennsylvania broadleaf.

Right.

So you see, you see companies

now they're changing things up

and starting to use the

Pennsylvania relief a little

more and you know for sure it's

interesting.

Yeah, yeah.

I mean, by the way, you the

Chromag with the Pennsylvania is

still very good.

I mean, not still very good.

It's really good, powerful.

But when I'm, when I'm talking

about my cigar journey, you

know, I've been smoking Roma

craft for a decade.

So I mean, it's not like you

know what I'm saying.

It's just a little bit different

about eating, but so that that's

where I'm coming from on that.

Now if you look at you asked me,

oh, why did you come out with a

limited?

I'm at a factory where I could

make this blend as a regular

production.

OK.

But for me to make this blend a

regular production at a

competitive price point would

probably not.

It would probably stray a little

bit from where I like to be.

So I keep it limited, man.

And that way the people who want

it will be able to get it, and

I'm able to reproduce it

consistently because I didn't

want to get in a situation where

we couldn't make it anymore,

right?

So it's just all right until we

get back to a point where, you

know, that makes sense.

So it seems there's a potential

of a re release in the future if

need be.

So what we do it, So what I'm

doing is next year this blend is

going to come out in a different

side.

So the goal is to take the

people that have been following

the brand over, you know, the

years.

Through a journey of different

vitolas with this blend.

So we did the 6 by 52 last year,

5 by 54 this year, next year is

looking like it's going to be a

7 by 48.

So you're going to get to see

like a whole like gamut, man, of

like how this one blend could

transform through all of these

different vitolas.

And I think that's fun as shit.

So I think that type of stuff is

really cool. 7 by 4.

It's like a true Lonsdale,

right?

A 7 by 4.

Yeah, I mean, you can look at it

as a Churchill.

OK.

You know I'm fancy like that.

You guys know me.

Yeah, now I got a question.

Middle class fancy.

Yeah, yeah, that's right.

Middle class fancy.

I like that golf course adjacent

perhaps?

Yeah, golf course.

Adjacent like maybe like a city

course or something like that,

like a public course.

Not private, yeah.

No collared shirts required,

Yeah.

You want to come in in a hoodie?

You're all.

Good.

You could bring your own beer.

We're not checking your bags or

anything like that or your

coolers.

Shrining plugs, baby.

Right.

So I got a question about this

Pennsylvania broadleaf.

Now, I don't think I've ever

asked this that anyone we've had

on the show, but do you know

where the Pennsylvania broadleaf

is growing?

Because when I think

Pennsylvania, I think Pittsburgh

on one side, Philadelphia on the

other, and then the Amish people

living in the middle of nowhere.

Lancaster Lancaster Tobacco is

where you get a lot of that.

OK, I always wondered.

Yeah, because so you.

Know every every patina uses US

broad leaf in one way shape or

another.

Every single one.

And it comes from that place in

Lancaster over there.

Well, some of it's, I don't use

Pennsylvania in all of them.

Oh, OK.

But one of the broad Leafs in

every and in some cases both

broad.

Cheese bro, fucking sharpen up a

little bit.

Yeah, learn your.

Shit, I mean I've driven all the

way through Pennsylvania once

and like I know once you get on

that stretch between like

Pittsburgh and Philadelphia,

there's nothing there.

It's the most boring 4 hour car

ride in.

Also New York State.

Yeah.

OK.

Speaking of that, I was just

going to bring this up.

What do you think between these

two states?

OK, Pennsylvania and West

Virginia, what is worse?

West Virginia like driving.

Driving.

Driving.

West Virginia, well, West

Virginia's got all those turns

and the speed limit is like 75

miles an hour, though.

So, so I've only been to like a

little bit of West Virginia, not

not deep into it or anything

Pennsylvania, really just the

Philly area to like Harrisburg

and stuff like that.

So it's really man, I'm

uneducated enough to say what,

what I would consider.

But if you take where I grew up,

I'm used to flat right?

So everything seems cooler that

you know.

Well, you got to be careful in

West Virginia.

Run one wrong turn.

You know, you might want to get

some people that say go back the

way you came.

You end up.

You end up in a holler somewhere

and you have no idea what's

going on.

There.

Those people even watch the

newscast but no offense but they

have these weird hollers.

Hills have eyes.

Fucking people.

Yeah, like justified.

Remember that show?

That was actually a great show

with Walton Higgins and yeah, I

forget.

Timothy Olyphant.

Yeah, I think the guy who wrote

The Shield wrote that show.

Is that right?

Yeah, yeah.

He also wrote Sons of Anarchy,

so that was awesome.

So he had a good like 3 show run

there.

Yeah.

Man, MO, where did you grow up?

Are you a Jersey guy?

Chicago.

Oh, you're a Chicago guy?

You're from Chirac?

Yeah, I mean, you can look at it

that way, but.

I think we touched on this.

Are you a Bears fan?

Yeah.

I'm sorry.

Yeah, I think yesterday was.

But yesterday sucked.

But today was fantastic.

What happened today?

Oh, did they fire him?

Yeah.

Iberfluse.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a

believer in Caleb Williams.

Iberlu Kayla Williams is, I

think he's going to be good.

Gio went hard take.

I said he.

Had the draft.

This is my thing, Yeah.

I don't believe in USC

quarterbacks, Yeah.

Well, yeah, they don't have a

very good track.

Right, except for Carson Palmer

and I said he would be out the

league within two years because

he has a piss poor attitude.

He wouldn't be, except being a

backup.

Yeah, OK, so who?

OK, so let's just go back to the

draft.

Who?

Who would you take if you were

the Bears with the number one

pick?

I mean personally Drake May, but

it's looking like Jaden Daniels

would have been the dude there.

So I think if you if you compare

the stats of Jaden Daniels and

Caleb Williams, they're actually

not, they're actually Caleb

Williams, I believe had better

stats overall.

Yeah, but you don't got that

clutch.

Yeah, I mean the beer.

OK, so you could argue that the

Commanders have a much better

coach and better.

I think if Caleb would have

played two more years under Matt

Eberflies, yeah, I would.

We'd be having a different

conversation.

But I don't know, man.

I'm not like a huge Caleb.

Like, I guess being a lifetime

Bears fan, you really learn to

have low ass expectations.

So you got to think about the

quarterback that has played for

the Bears over the years.

You've never had a Jim Kelly?

You guys win to the bowl with

Rex Grossman.

Exactly.

OK, So when Rex Grossman is the

Super Bowl quarterback versus

Peyton Manning, OK, there's no

Josh Allen, there's no Jim

Kelly, there's no fuck, bro.

There's not a Frank Reich, OK?

My man knows.

My man knows this Bill stuff

man, I like it all legends all.

Legends.

Yes, they are, and there's

nobody like that.

Jay Cutler was maybe the

closest.

I liked Jay Cutler.

I, I, I thought Jay Cutler fit

Chicago just because he had that

like asshole attitude that

worked there because he would

just tell the media to fuck off.

Oh dude, the king of not giving

a shit.

He was awesome.

Yeah, and DWI is apparently in

recent news.

Yes, in recent news.

In Tennessee.

He's going through a rough

divorce.

Yeah, yeah.

Shit happens bro.

But you had the Chicago

Blackhawks.

Were you a hockey fan?

Yeah, yeah, we used to go to the

yeah, we, I went to my so my

brother bought season tickets

for the Blackhawks in Pole 5.

We were going, we were going to

the games when nobody was there.

But you have to remember.

And yes, we did enjoy the

Stanley Cup runs and stuff, but

you got to remember, man, that

my childhood, the Blackhawks

ownership would not play home

games on TVI.

Do remember that they had the

blackout.

Yes.

Yes, they wouldn't allow you we.

Only got yeah, exactly.

So there was never like this,

you know, like you're going to

have your die hard hockey guys

and all of that.

And I get you guys are in

Buffalo.

So you know, I understand you

guys probably more die hard than

than I would be certainly.

I don't know, man.

It's been pretty rough.

We haven't made the playoffs

since 2011.

Yes, it's the dominator but but

it's really hot man.

OK, so I'm at an age now where

if the team is not going to give

a shit, neither am I.

That's fair.

I get that.

But also, though, I'm not going

to feel sorry for you because

Chicago's had more than their

fair of championship runs

between the Cubs, the Bulls and

the Blackhawks, so you got

spoiled quite a few times.

No, I'm with you, man.

I mean, I, you know, I grew up

during Jordan, so I got to

experience that.

That was awesome.

We live in a city that thinks

it's appropriate to wear

T-shirts that say 1 before I

die.

We have 0 championships, 1

before I die.

Yeah.

No, say he was never one.

Bill's never 1 and I don't don't

count the fucking Buffalo

Bandits lacrosse team.

That's not that.

That's not like a city unifying

event.

I think if the Bills or the

Sabres win this, like the the

Stanley Cup or the Super Bowl,

that will be a city unifying

thing.

OK, so here's my question to you

guys.

Who's your baseball team?

We don't have.

I don't.

Have one.

No baseball team.

You, but I mean you guys are

free agent.

You don't pick 10.

Yankee.

I'm a Red Sox Yankees.

OK.

I don't really watch baseball.

Geo is like a disgrace to the

Hispanic culture.

But I like Guerrero, so I'll go

with the Blue Jays.

No love for baseball?

OK, So what about for basketball

I.

Don't watch.

Basketball, I don't really care

or have a favorite.

Team I like the Celtics.

OK, OK.

Well, they're playing the Bulls

right now.

I have it out of the background,

but yeah, OK.

So, yeah, I mean, I I've always

kind of like been jealous of

people that were free aging.

Like for a sport, you know, it's

like you kind of get without

without giving up your, you

know, your hometown St. cred.

Yeah, because I'm a White Sox

fan and you guys know what

happened this year.

If you follow baseball, it was.

A bad record.

For futility, yeah.

Traded away all the good people.

Yep, The bears have been

horrible.

The bulls have been shit.

So yeah, I mean, we've had some

runs, but it's been pretty,

pretty bad for the last decade.

Well, the Bulls deserve their

curse after how they traded

Derrick Rose.

That man, I ain't going to lie,

I I love B Rose.

Man, everyone loved Derrick

Rose, remember?

MVP Derrick Rose.

Yeah, Classic.

He was so good, he was special.

He was special.

That injuries robbed US of one

of the greatest careers ever.

Absolutely.

Got some bad news, man?

Without a doubt.

And then with like the way did

you ever see the video of how he

found out he got traded?

No.

Oh yeah, well there's a video

he's doing like a documentary

and he find or like a recorded

like for the team and he finds

out mid interview that he's

being traded.

Yeah, I can.

And like, he finishes the

interview like, in tears because

he loved playing for Chicago.

Yeah, I mean man, because.

He got traded in the Knicks.

Yeah, yeah, it's crazy, man.

Crazy.

I don't know, I I just feel like

I would love to experience that

just one day.

Like what?

You were the parade?

I I think, I think Josh Allen

was going to win a Super Bowl

championship.

They still say he's a bomb on

TV.

They still talk about how he's a

bomb.

All the analytics, all the the

the fucking ESPN people.

Ironically, the only guy who is

like, actually talking good

about him.

Not this year, Nick Wright.

And he dogged him for a year.

Which means this is the this

might be the year that we win

the Super Bowl.

And I hate it.

Because then we would make Nick

Wright, right?

You see, Josh Allen got engaged

today.

No, I didn't.

Yeah, him and Haley Seinfeld,

they just got engaged today.

Oh wow, wait.

That singer trick.

Yeah.

Actress Actress.

Yeah, she's in The Avengers.

Hollywood A Lister.

All the comments were hilarious.

They were like how you going to

give a ring before you got 1.

Damn.

I'm like damn bro let.

My man.

Let my man live.

I love those memes where they

compare Tom Brady's ring to

Jlo's.

That actually she's got a roster

of guys who put a ring on it.

That's.

She got 2 from Ben Affleck.

Yeah, now they're done again.

Now, now, Josh Allen is not

caught up in that Diddy stuff,

is he?

No way.

He was too young for that way

too.

Young.

Unless he was under under Diddy.

Yeah, like, you know, Diddy took

him in to show him how to.

Be like Justin Bieber.

Yeah, dangerous.

That dangerous, let me tell you

that's that's sad.

And you you can see like

Bieber's transformation, man,

like over the years where he

went from like this kid to like

this fucked up dude.

It's like really weird.

Oh.

Yeah, that's unfortunately how

fame eats alive a lot of these

like.

Show.

Think them all.

Think about all the ones that

we've seen through our lifetime,

like where you're like, wow,

this girl's like my age.

And now she's fucking absolute

psychopath.

Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson,

Amanda Bynes, Amanda Bynes, this

girl, Britney Spears, They all

went crazy, all of them.

They just broke.

Hilary Duffin's all right,

though.

Hilary Duff's OK.

Packs, man.

She carries a gun with her like

all the time.

They always show up and then

she's got a wagon on her too,

so.

Isn't she married to like some

hockey player?

Yeah, well, she was Mike Comrie

Nice.

And then they divorced and now

she dates some like some

musician.

Yeah, that could be good or bad.

Is he a musician or a

skateboarder?

I'm not.

I'm not even joking.

Like.

I mean, aren't they one in the

same these days?

Kind of like if you skateboard,

you're in a garage band.

That makes sense to me.

I don't know.

It seems like it would.

Maybe Blink 182?

Yeah, kind of yeah.

Like, you know, like that all

punk rock emotion.

Again, there's another guy,

Travis Barker, one of the few

guys who somehow turned out all

right, and he's still with the

Kardashian.

Oh.

That's a fucking.

Curse rod bro.

I think he was like fucked up

before them so it made him

normal.

Yeah.

Like it cancelled out.

Well, he got into like a plane

crash.

Yeah, that's true.

Yeah, his plane crash or some

shit.

And he lived and he was.

I think it really fucked him up

and just made him not give 2

fucks.

I mean, hey.

That might sober you up.

It really might give you your

life flashes before your eyes.

Well, that didn't work for Rick

Flair though that was.

Did you see his 30 for 30?

No, not yet.

Should I watch it?

Is it worth it?

The Rick Flair 30 for 30 is

awesome.

Is it really?

So he's talking about like how

fucking degenerate of an

alcoholic he was.

He's like, yeah, I'd go out

drinking with like Andre the

Giant and then I'd order 60

kamikaze shots and hand them out

until I couldn't see.

And then I'd go wrestle a show

and then I'd go back to the bar

and order another 60 kamikaze

shots and then drink like 12

beers.

And that was my life every day

for like 3 years.

And he's like, and he's talking

to the doctor.

He's like, and he's like, he's

like, you can't be doing that.

He's like, if you did that,

you'd be dead.

He's like, I don't know what to

tell you, doc, I'm here.

He's like, by the end of that

thing, I was that guy, that

doctor's therapist.

I like that.

Did you watch the Vince McMahon

documentary?

No, I've heard it's interesting.

I read the fucking text from his

scandal.

Holy fuck.

Yeah, well, we, we don't need to

get it, you know, but that

documentary, if you grew up as a

wrestling fan or watched

wrestling as a kid, it's

definitely worth it.

It's it's interesting for sure.

He was the ultimate villain.

But he really was that guy.

But he.

Yeah, he was.

Yeah, he was wild.

I feel like everybody hated

Vince McMahon, but.

He played it so well, he.

Played it well and then like

what he was really doing.

I mean, they were just writing

the ultimate script for every

single one of us.

Writing the script, but as it

was his real life.

Right.

Yeah.

Oh also though, when you see

like old stuff and you think

about like how awful it was back

in the day, like how that this

would never be on TV now.

Like the Kiss my ass club and

he's making Trish Stratus crawl

on her knees like a dog and

kisses ass.

That's sexist.

Oh, that would never be like,

oh, wow, You know, this is kind

of predatory.

Then there were kids in the

stands watching that with.

Yeah.

Kisses.

Yes.

It's crazy.

Suck it the whole era, Oh my.

God, no.

Yeah, that was the Attitude Era

or whatever they called.

It bro I can't even tell you how

many kids I knew, including

myself that just dropped it

right in fucking like sick. 5th

6th grade I'm get in.

Trouble.

The detention was full of kids

doing the suck.

It the teachers looking at us

like, do you even know what that

means?

Suck it, do it again.

Son Michaels does.

It Yeah, Shawn Michaels was.

That's another guy.

He's just a character.

Degeneration X They were

awesome.

Mr. Ass.

Billy Gunn.

Badass Billy Gunn.

Badass Billy Gunn X POC Rd.

Dog China Billy.

Gunn die.

No, he's still alive.

It's China that die.

China's dead.

She probably had a bigger Dick

than all of us.

Moment of silence.

Was that like a stimulated part

due to all the steroids?

Yeah, dude, she was pretty

manly.

If you want to research it for

science, she did have a thriving

porn career.

I mean, I was kind of leaning

toward that, yeah.

Research purposes, Caitlin.

Yeah.

Pause.

Dog, I don't want to hear it.

You've looked up way weirder

shit on your phone for this show

than that.

Yeah, that's true.

That's true.

I don't want to ruin this

person's hard drive that I'm on

right now.

This isn't my personal laptop,

so I don't want to ruin it.

I got to outsource my resource

materials so my agent, my FBI

agent, doesn't catch on.

It's very thoughtful, yeah.

You definitely have an agent.

No doubt about it, man.

Plot twist, it's assistant.

Nah, he's right with me.

He's a sick puppy.

Undercover MO, you play fantasy

football.

Yeah.

How many teams you got?

2.

Yeah, 2 Have you ever came to a

draft with an assistant?

No I so I purposely only do

public leagues on Yahoo because

the reason is I want to keep my

friendships so I do not do any

fantasy sports with my friends.

You know, it's weird because you

I I hear what you're saying.

You don't want any friendships

to go wrong over like bad

trades, winner losses.

But we have these leagues and no

one makes trades at all.

Yeah, does everyone keeps their

team like no one like they send

the the worst, the worst trades

in history like, oh, yo, give me

Tyree kill and I'll hand you

like this third thing, this

third thing.

Scrub on the Cardinals for Tyree

kill and you can have like.

My kicker.

A kicker too.

It's like.

Right.

Like no one makes so I'm I'm

glad in our leagues, like no one

has any like quarrels or

anything like that.

But the only thing is there's

these horrible trade offers and

it's just like, don't even waste

my time.

You know, it's like they say,

don't do business with friends.

I don't play fantasy sports.

Do you consider that business?

No, but it's like that, that

same mindset.

OK, so I'll give you an example.

I'm in a group chat with my

buddies that I used to play in

the leagues or do the leagues

with.

Bro, they're fighting all the

time.

I mean, at some point one of

them is going to do something or

say something where it's going

to be hard to come back from.

What the fuck is that worth?

Dude, think about the shit in

the world right now and you're

worried about fucking.

I mean it's crazy to me.

Like dude, if you're going to do

something to have fun and get

your mind off shit, that's one

thing.

If you're doing this to give

yourself some sort of

accomplishment or like to give

yourself, you know, like

whatever, as a human being, like

you really got to take a step

back and ask yourself what the

fuck you doing?

You know what I mean #1 none of

it's worth a friendship or a

family relationship or something

like that.

But I also have found that if

you're going to do something

with friends like that, it

better be for free and purely

bragging right?

Oh see we me and Jerry are in

one league at work that is

$150.00 buy in and it's for

bragging rights but like this is

for like year long shit talk

like you got to do it like.

I will tell you this right now,

I've done a lot of great things

in my life.

I want to hoist that work trophy

so fucking bad.

I don't care.

Oh, it's going to be the

greatest year ever if I win.

Don't let me win.

It's going to be a long year.

Yeah.

I'll lose every friend I have.

Fuck all you guys.

Oh yeah, if I if I win the Down

to Herf Trophy and for our Down

to Her Football League, I'm

definitely going to have a good

year.

It's going to be awesome.

It'll be worth it.

Yeah, Caleb's a one loss team in

our down to Herf league.

Dude's about to be 12:00 and

1:00 and.

He's currently kicking Caleb.

He's kicking my ass, right?

Now I got a good assistant, he

helped me draft my team so.

This kid came in, didn't say a

word to anybody with a briefcase

and then left.

I got a guy get.

The fuck out of here.

Never said one word.

Came He came dressed in a

tuxedo, too.

He had a suit on.

What are you guys making fun of

a certain cigar brand right now?

No.

No, I really came with a guy.

He really did.

An assistant showed up.

Yeah, well, no, no.

Where did Where did you find

this?

Guy our daughters went to

daycare together.

They're friends, so.

He didn't really have a suit on.

But it makes sense.

But he really did.

He really did.

They were like whisper in their

trades.

They were like, hey, what do you

think?

You think we should do that

like?

He had the draft conference room

that like when you see the green

room and the NFL draft, Yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

They're like talking, but then

suddenly they show that the

obvious, like the the player and

he's on the phone and oh, I

wonder who the pick's going to

be.

And the guy's smiling, living

his best life.

That was Caleb.

Yes, Nope.

It's pretty.

Cool strategy.

It's working for him last year.

What'd you come in?

Last, second to last.

Good.

Turn around.

Yeah.

Did we?

Did we?

Now you guys play in the keeper

league or how do you is it new

team?

New team every.

Yeah, every draft.

Thankfully my team was pretty

bad last year.

I might, might make the playoffs

this year if the three of us,

we're in a good position right

now.

Since.

The Downer Herff League, some

talented fantasy football teams

in there like these.

These guys are, they run.

They run tight shifts.

My cousin's seen, for instance.

Yeah, like 3 Three of the six

top teams have all been in the

championships or playoffs the

last two years that we've done

this, Yeah.

And the same guy, we have a guy,

our buddy Adam, who comes in 2nd

place every single year.

Is that?

Right, three straight years,

second place.

Yeah, it's tough.

I mean, especially being from

Buffalo, it's got to be a little

pick close to home.

Yeah, he's always making money

too, that guy, that.

Guy.

Yeah.

Guy fantasy football, it's like

a money making scheme.

He's very good at it, yeah.

Well that guy's like, what's the

dude's name for Moneyball with

the coke bottle glasses?

Is it Billy Beane?

No, the guy who Jonah Hill was

supposed to be.

Oh yeah, yeah.

The analytics guy, yeah, he does

the analytics.

That That's Adam.

Yeah, I forgot that guy's name

in real life, but he fucking

revolutionized baseball.

I forgot his move off top of my

head, but the the guy whose

character he's based off of.

Yeah.

Yeah, he really revolutionized

the way.

And, well, it doesn't matter

now.

The Dodgers, just by every

player, they're worse than the

Yankees.

Bro what a joke.

Snell.

Will say, oh, they gotta play

Snell, yeah.

Yeah, too.

They picked him up for like a

fucking what is it like 300 mil?

I I don't remember the contract,

but yeah, when I saw that I'm.

Just Peter Brand.

Peter.

Yeah, that that was his name.

Peter Brand, Yeah, I looked it

up for you guys.

I feel like it was really

bothering you guys.

Yeah.

Yeah, it kind of was.

Thanks.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

But that's fucking insane.

Oh.

Yeah.

Blake Snow added on the World

Series championship team, Yes.

Damn.

And that in the show high could

pitch next year, which I'm not

sure, but think about that

rotation.

I granted, Clayton Kershaw is

probably a little bit past, you

know, his best day.

He'll be a closer.

Yeah, this is like silly.

I mean, it's getting silly,

dude, you know?

You have a Cy Young fucking

winner as a closer.

Yep.

It all started with my boy

Mookie Beth.

And then they.

Never.

They never looked back.

They had Machado for like a

year.

Yeah, they did.

Manny Machado.

They had all the best pictures.

You Darvish, Is he still there?

I don't know.

He's on the Padres.

Padres.

Yeah.

He was there though, right?

I don't know if you Darvish ever

played for the Dodgers.

He played for the Cubs, the

Padres, the Cubs.

Guy.

Wasn't he on the Blue Jays?

No, he started with the Texas

Rangers, so maybe you're

thinking blue uniform.

Who's who's the pitcher that

closed it out this year?

Who's super good they brought

him in.

I know.

I'm not sure.

They got another Japanese guy

though that throws heat too.

Besides Otan, they got another

Jack.

I can't even, Yeah, I can't say

his name.

I mean, that bullpen's

ridiculous, The hitting's

ridiculous.

You got Freddie Freeman, who

literally you can't do anything

against him in the playoffs.

The guy is just an absolute

stud.

Somehow they're going to come

up.

They're going to end up signing

Juan Soto.

Yeah, they'll probably.

They'll steal them if.

They do if they sign Juan Soto.

I don't know if I'm going to

watch a single baseball game.

It'd be unfair.

They're going to win no matter

what, they're going to win.

I mean, they stay healthy.

I mean, how how do you pitch to

a lineup with Mookie back to

show how tiny fucking wine Soto

and.

Freeman.

And Freeman, how?

How do you pick?

And then they have Tay Oscar

Hernandez, the guy who won the.

Whole guy too.

Yeah, Hernandez.

Yeah, he had a fucking Grand

Slam against the Yanks.

No Padres.

And then they still have who's

their third baseman?

They got the Mitch Monsey.

They got him too.

He's.

Max Monsey.

He's a hitter too, so it's like

stack lineup.

That's just they got Will Smith.

They'll still have your boy Joe

Kelly.

Catcher and.

Will Smith?

Do they have your boy Joe Kelly

too?

Yeah, Joe Kelly, my man.

I love that guy.

He's awesome.

Angry little motherfucker.

Awesome, I love him.

Angry funny story about him.

I was sitting at a White Sox

game when he played for the

White Sox with that cup of

coffee.

And he's like, it was funny,

man.

Because you see him on the

mound, you remember him from the

shit with Carlos Correa and all

that stuff.

And I don't know who it was.

I'm pretty sure.

I don't know if it was like his

wife and kid or somebody else,

but all of a sudden you see this

guy smiling and he's being like

super.

It was like, it was like, holy

shit, man.

Like you forget sometimes that

these guys are human beings,

right?

Then it's like, it was pretty

cool to see that because you're

right on the mound.

He's like a whole different

person.

I feel like a lot of athletes

are like that.

You know, they get this like on

field or like, you know, in the

game kind of reputation.

And then off the off the field,

these guys are like donating

their time to charity and, you

know, helping kids that need

things and like donating to, you

know, foundations that need

money.

And, you know, they're actually

like, really good guys.

But then these are also the same

guys.

You're like, yeah, I hope that

guy blows his Achilles out next

fucking series.

I hate that guy.

Fuck him.

And then the guys, like, the

very next day at, like, a

Children's Hospital doing some,

like, great thing for the world.

Yeah, Yeah.

And then you're like.

You got to have, I mean, to be

great in, in something that

competitive, I mean, you got to

have a, you know, that, that

what they say, a dog in you.

I mean, you really do, man.

I got that dog in me, but it's

like this little Chihuahua.

It's not, it's not like a big.

Dog and it only comes out for

whiskey drinking.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, it's just a little

Chihuahua.

It's it's got a little maybe

annoying, yeah, but that's about

the not much of A dog.

The real dog of dogs, Jon Jones

this year.

Jon Jones did.

You catch that fight.

I did not watch that fight, but

I saw that he that he won.

Oh, we watched it.

It was just.

Poor steep.

He's a Massachusetts guy, right?

John Jones, Rochester, he's like

2 hours from us.

About an hour and a half of us

east of us, I think he was.

Massachusetts.

He's got a whole family of

championship athletes like his

brothers are NFL players.

They.

Won Super Bowl champs Love.

Shit.

Chandler and Arthur Jones.

Yeah.

Chandler's like crazy now, but

you know, fuck I.

Mean.

Too many hits to.

That CTE, Yeah, fuck that.

I can't even.

Yeah.

Oh, MO, I want to switch things

real quick off the off the

sports topic.

Yeah, Speaking of patina and the

oxidation and the rust, I know

we brought up the Statue of

Liberty last time, but have you

heard this conspiracy theory

that the Statue of Liberty, it

might not even be a woman, It

might be Lucifer.

Have you ever heard that?

Yeah, yes, I.

Have.

Yeah.

So it might be like Prometheus

and Lucifer that the Statue of

Liberty, which holds the torch

to signify liberty, but the

torch might reflect the fire

that Prometheus stole from Zeus.

But she brought the fire to

mankind, which enabled man to

gain knowledge and become as

powerful as the gods.

Such as the good timing.

You heard that before, huh?

Just recently.

So you, I think you would have

to be blind to not think that

there is a lot of occult

symbolism in various monuments

and things like that.

I'm not going to get into all of

that because that's this is not

the venue.

We could save that for the after

her if you.

Ever want to join?

But but certainly there's a lot

of arguments that could be made

that you know a lot from, you

know, from the dollar bill to

other things.

Why do you all right, so if you

I know if you don't want to get

into, but I was to say like, why

do you think people who would

make or design these things, why

do you think they put that maybe

those little bit of elements

that people can maybe suspect?

Do you think they just do that

as a show of power or like we

could sneak this by and no one

will notice?

So, so one of the things you'll

read about if you get into that

type of world is they have if if

they're going to cause a major

whatever they had, part of it is

that they have to kind of

foreshadow it either through

media, movies.

So yeah, I mean, this is a whole

play.

I don't want to sound like I'm

fucking here.

Actually, I really don't give a

shit because I think if you've

been paying attention over the

last three or four years, you've

probably seen some stuff that

makes you go wow.

I think some of the shit that

we've been spoon fed our entire

lives really is the US.

And you know, so that's all I'm

going to say about that.

Yeah, I I get that.

It's kind of almost like they

shove it in your face as like,

we're doing it.

We don't care.

We know that you know that we're

doing it and we're just going to

do it anyway, so we don't care.

Here's what I will tell you guys

100% Anybody who comes who tries

to talk to you about anything,

diplomat, diplomatically,

politically, whatever.

If you do not know how money

works, OK, how money is created,

how it flows, all of that, then

you do not fucking know Dick

about politics.

Period.

Yeah.

Money flows.

So that's all.

Yeah.

So I mean, people don't like

when somebody tries to tell me,

but what Trump is the Biden and

and you're like, hey, man, the

Federal Reserve.

What do you know about that?

Well, I don't do some kind of

like the Federal Reserve is not

even a government entity, Did

you know that?

Yeah, you can shut it down.

The whole Jekyll Island thing in

the 19. 90s It is a privately

owned bank that lends money to

the United States government.

We got off that gold and got.

That you understand how fucked

up that is?

You want to know how there's $34

trillion in debt?

So, Prince, I don't care.

Yeah.

I don't care who, if you are

still perpetuating that system,

you're essentially an enemy of

the American people.

That's crazy.

And humanity, really.

That makes me wonder if there's

any gold up at Fort Knox,

because that might be all gone.

I don't know, man, but but if

you look at the reality is the

government of a country should

be the one minting the coinage.

They should not be borrowing

money from anybody to create

that.

Yeah.

So the Treasury should be in

house creating our currency,

Yeah.

I know it took us off on a

little tangent, but I just had

to touch on a little bit of that

patina and that oxidation and

the Statue of Liberty, because

it was copper at one point,

right?

Listen, man, we're we're getting

to a point where people need to

know this stuff.

And I think that, you know, with

the amount of information that's

available to people, you can't

play stupid anymore.

This is really starting to

affect your life.

If you're, if you're out there

complaining about inflation and

you don't know why the fuck

inflation happens, what are you

doing?

Seriously.

And I'm not trying to be an

asshole, but I mean, at some

point people need to take

responsibility for understanding

how things work because nothing

will ever change as long as

people don't, you know, continue

to have the wool over their

eyes.

When are you going to pay

attention?

When you can't afford to fucking

eat anymore.

Yeah, that's why I say you got

to, you got to question

everything and you just got to,

you know, don't fall for

whatever you're being told to

just question everything.

Just because someone's got the

power doesn't mean they're

right.

If you look at, there's never

been a person of God that's been

on the side of the wing.

Oh MO, I got to have you back on

for the Afterharf man.

We got, we got to dive deep into

some conspiracies.

That's where I get my real I got

a tinfoil hat and everything,

but that's where we got to dive.

Deep.

That's not a conspiracy.

Go up and down the line, Moses

and Pharaoh, Jesus and then

whatever.

Muhammad and whatever.

What is it?

Abraham.

Whatever.

I mean they.

Of.

The of the people and of the

ruler.

What did they say?

I think JFK was the only

Catholic president and he was

assassinated and every other

president's been a member of

either the Freemasons or Skulls

and Bones.

You should read more about JFK.

You should try.

You should learn more why he may

have been.

Well.

They were mobbed up, that's for

sure.

Well, I always thought it was

that had more to do with like

the Bay of Pigs.

And then he pulled the air

support and the CIA agents

weren't too thrilled about that.

That was my personal theory.

But yeah, go back, go back then.

Yeah, that's it.

I like this.

I like this.

We're cook, MO.

We're going to cook something up

for you after.

If I'm having you back on, I'm

having you back on the Patreon

for all our Patreon members.

We're going to cook.

There's going to be like 4 clips

and then one like 40 minute long

I mean.

I I put in jail, I might

actually be a fucking Guantanamo

after that conversation, but you

know, whatever.

I'm just sick of like, I'm just

sick of people being asleep,

man.

And I, I don't want people to

get hurt.

I don't want people to say, Oh

my God, I didn't, I didn't see

this coming.

I didn't, you know, people need

to get up, man.

People need to wake up.

I.

Agree to that.

Instead of stay woke, it's it's

get awoke.

Yeah, people, there you go.

People think being woke is like,

I don't even know what the fuck

that means.

Like in the context of people

using it today, but like it

actually means something way

different so.

Yeah, you got to wake up, you

know, do some free thinking, do

some research on your own.

There's library books.

We live in a age where you go

look up anything on your phone.

There's no need to be dumb and

believe the talking heads on TV

granite, Google and Wikipedia.

Wikipedia isn't the best

sources, you know.

There's other There's a whole

encyclopedia libraries out

there.

I thought if it was in on the

Internet, it's true.

Well.

If it's on the Internet, it is

sort.

Of that's what I that's what I

always thought.

Got to go back to those ancient

texts bro.

The scripts.

The scripts bro.

Go back to the scripts.

Go back all the way.

Hidden knowledge bro.

Hidden knowledge that that would

require sitting down and like

reading and like we all have to

work fucking full time jobs and

raise families and like where do

you?

Where do we find the time?

You know you you light up a

patina cigar and you start

reading some books, right MO?

Yeah man, let it fucking free

your mind.

Let patina fucking be your

gateway to seek the truth.

Very.

Interesting.

I like that.

Get that Joe Rogan third eye

going.

Yeah, Joe Rogan, hey, he's

fucking idiot too.

Listen, you guys are not going

to see like, anybody that's made

it.

They're going to perpetuate

whatever helped them make it,

period.

So.

Well, we didn't make it yet, so

yeah, we're climbing up the

ladder.

Yeah.

Hopefully you got.

Some people too.

Hopefully in a good way.

Yeah, yeah, Patina's coming up

there with us too.

Yeah.

We're bringing fucking believe

it, man.

I I want bro.

I want I want to see the world

be a better.

Friend, Yeah, I agree with that

you.

Know the fuck with if you have

an ounce of hate towards people

or whatever, like you should

want for humanity like you want

for yourself.

You know what I mean?

And like I'm sick of seeing

people struggle, you know, like

dude, you don't think if I could

make a fucking six dollar $5

cigar, I wouldn't do it?

I mean, I don't have the ability

to.

I mean, I'm constrained by my

position and where I'm at and

this whole thing, but you think

that you want cigar prices to

go?

I mean, I certainly fucking

don't, OK?

I want what what makes America

great is that regular dudes like

us could smoke cigars.

You don't have that everywhere.

I don't want that to go away,

You know what I mean?

Like back in the old days when

cigars were like 5 cents, $0.10

a piece and people were buying

bundles for like $2.00.

Yeah, man.

I mean, I mean, we're never

going to go back.

No.

Yeah, what I'm saying, you know,

that's just the reality of the

man.

Like I want to see people do

well and be be genuinely like

happy, not chasing temporary

highs all the time, you know

what I mean?

I got to get this car, I got to

get that house, I got to get,

you know, this fucking

motorcycle or this gun or

whatever, you know what I'm

saying?

Like genuine happiness comes

from within.

You can't fucking buy that your.

Family, your family and your

friends.

That's a a good point to start

with the true happiness.

Yeah, man.

I mean, you're not going to buy

happiness.

Now, financial security

certainly helps you be more

calm, right?

But you're not going to find

happiness through through buying

stuff.

It's not never worked and it

never will.

MO, you ever listen to Daniel

Tosh?

No, I don't.

I don't know what.

That is the you ever see on

Comedy Central Tosh Point O

well, he does a stand up bit and

he's like people say money can't

buy happiness, but.

Look at the fuck this up.

Money.

Money can buy you a jet ski.

Have you ever seen somebody

frowning on a jet ski?

Yeah.

It's pretty funny.

People say that, but OK, take

cigars.

Oh man, I just want to get these

and then you get them like, oh

fuck, I want to get that too.

You've described Jerry, so I'm.

Feeling attacked here.

No dude, I'm the same way.

I'm not saying that I don't do

this shit.

I'm just saying we need to rise

above the the cigar itself is

not going to make you happy.

It's what that comfort in that

moment of peace is what makes

you happy or, or content or

whatever, right?

No one thing is going to do

that.

So I, I guess my point is that

we need to break this cycle of,

of trying to find happiness

through things.

I like that period.

Fair enough.

I like that.

I like that cigars bring people

together.

Oh man, like nothing else.

You know, I've, I've had the

pleasure of meeting some really

amazing people over the last

couple years.

Obviously getting deeper into

the industry, meeting all the,

you know, the people that make

the industry run, you know,

other podcasters, guys that run

companies, Just being able to

have conversations with them and

share an opportunity and just

the ability to sit down, slow

down time, relax, shoot the

shit.

Whether it's talking about

sports, talking about their

company, their dreams, which you

know, it's, it's nice to hear

people have aspirations to want

to do bigger and better things

100.

Percent.

It's nice to hear that.

I, I myself feel I don't think

there's enough people out there

that want to share their dreams

and aspirations and be around

people like that.

Whether it's, I don't want to

say jealousy, some people get

really upset when people talk

about their dreams.

Maybe they don't have dreams

themselves and they don't have

things that they want to

achieve.

But I like being around like

minded people.

Well, see, The thing is, is like

putting it out there.

It means you put it in the world

you like your everyone can

criticize you for it.

But when you actually say it, it

means you know you can actually

you got to speak it into

existence.

Almost that, if that makes

sense, at least to me.

I love sitting here saying I

would love to be the best cigar

podcast someday.

I'd love to be able to have

dudes reach out to me.

Hey man, I got a new product

coming out.

I'd love to come on and share

with you guys.

You guys are a lot of fun and I

really enjoy your company.

I love spending that hour with

you.

You know, those are my

aspirations, especially as far

as this show.

Sure.

Aside from this show, my

aspirations are to be the best

father, the best husband, the

best man that I can be, the best

police officer I can be to my

community where, you know, you

know, every day is not perfect,

but, you know, at the end of the

day, maybe you can clean it up a

little bit, you know, make it a

safer place, make the community

a safer place, contribute in

some way and enjoy the ride

along the way.

You know, everybody wants to

leave behind some kind of a

legacy, right?

Like whether that legacy is.

Yeah, I remember that guy.

He was a fucking really.

He was a really good dude, that

guy.

He was a good dude.

You know what I feel like, how

many people in your life can you

say that about?

Like you, you, you know him and

you're like, yeah, man, I miss

that guy.

He was a good dude.

He did a lot of really good and

cool things, right?

You know, he was, he was

awesome.

I think it like we say it about

one of our Co workers, like that

dude is not retiring.

He's going out on the job.

And this is, mind you, as a guy

who's been a police officer for

damn near 40 fucking years and

he's almost what, 60 years old?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Dude could have retired out of

that, that's all he knows.

Yeah.

When that dude goes, that's

going to be a sad day.

And we've worked with him, what,

four years now?

He's been on our wheel for four.

Yeah, so it's just someone like

you're like, God damn.

Like when that guy's gone.

Miss that guy?

Yeah.

You'll never do what he did.

Of course you.

You definitely want to try to

leave a positive impact on the

people that interact with you.

And I don't, That's why I like

man, for me, like to be real

with you guys, I keep to myself

a lot because I don't want to

get involved in bullshit and

it's just not worth it, man.

Like I'd rather like people

going, Oh, did you hear this?

Did this person said that or

this person said that?

I'm just like, that's cool, man.

It's not, it's not worth it

though.

Like I don't, I don't got to

like stir the pot to like make

myself feel like I just rise

above the frame and like be a

positive, be a positive source

of, of shit for people.

Like that's it, you know?

Oh yeah, you've built a good

community around Patina Cigars.

We see all those guys on

Instagram.

They love your product and you

got a you got a good following

of people that really like your

stuff and just building a

community of people who are

share the same like minded

things.

That's an achievement itself

right there.

Dude, I want, no matter what

brand of cigars you want, like

you want to be in my opinion, or

what I strive is that you want

to be a source of like truth in

a world of bullshit or like a

sea of bullshit or like pomp and

circumstance, what the fucking

pomp and circumstance would

contain.

All right, you want to be like

that.

There's some other shit you can

associate with.

Go get a roll out.

You know, like I, you know, I

mean like I, I, I enjoy being

around people that are legit,

period.

Yeah, I think that's what

you're, I think that's what

you're following likes about you

and the brand and everything

like that.

Trust me, I see those guys on

the gram, they go, they go hard.

They go hard for Patina, that's

for sure.

Those guys, man, they got they

got a community.

I see it in their comments and

everything I look.

When people message me like I

was fine like I'm not like too

fucking cool.

Like I don't give a shit like

for some reason by the way.

And I don't know, I've, I've

messaged Instagram now like 5 or

6 times.

Like I don't get notified when

I'm tagged or mentioned.

Like like intermittently I will

like once in a while, but not

like all the time.

Like so I'm like, oh man, I

tagged you and this I'm like,

what are you talking about?

Which is really annoying because

I pride myself on giving people

because like, look, if you're

going to take the time to post

the patina, right, I want to

give you recognition of that.

And you know what, man, maybe

like shit, you might have more

followers than me or something

like that.

But even if like some of the

people follow patina, I thought,

dude, this guy smokes.

They go to his page or her page

and they got like patina and a

bunch of other great cigars and

shit like that.

And like, I'm, I'm going to

start following this person too.

So, you know, it's like you want

to be able to, to showcase the

people that showcase your stuff.

And I feel like Instagram is

taking that away.

I don't know what the hell is

going on.

It's annoying.

Well, we are kind of running

into a a little bit of a

censorship issue on Instagram.

We have now, I mean, we haven't

really publicly talked about

this, but Instagram has been

really fighting against our

podcast.

They do not like it.

They do not like the message.

They do not like that we smoke

cigars.

We are shadow banned and it's we

figured it out the the little

word key is if you say smoking

or smoke or any act of.

Smoked.

Yep.

Like I think in a bio, I said on

this episode we smoked.

Oh, you're promoting the use of

blah blah blah, and it's

ridiculous.

So even when I went to mention

you guys in my in my story that

I put on, I had to type out your

whole.

Didn't come up.

Your whole, your whole page name

just for it to come up.

If you are a non follower of

Down Hearth Podcast, you cannot

find us.

Like you have to.

You have to literally search it.

That's crazy.

Yeah, we, we cannot get new

followers.

So when we do get new followers.

It's like genuine someone.

Someone saw something and

they're like, let me let me find

these guys because they really

had to take the time I.

Think that's going to change a

little bit though.

I don't know if you guys saw

this, but like Zuckerberg put

out a statement saying he wants

to like work with Trump and like

a set like reshape the country.

I don't know if that's good or

bad, but I think that you're

going to see a little bit of a

more open forum on.

I I actually think it's, there's

a lot more people pushing for

censorship today than any time

in my life.

Which is absurd.

Yeah, wish.

It was changed, yeah.

I don't, I don't, I don't see it

getting more open the tech part.

You know what it is, though,

You're going to, they're going

to see with the numbers because

like they put it out there was

like a a stat went like the most

active users was like X and

truth always rises to the top.

Like the good information rises

there.

Yeah.

And that's what drives usage in

dollars.

And they won't do it because

it's the right thing to do.

They'll do it because it's what

makes them money there.

You go, there you go.

You know, it's funny about X and

I wish X was better for cigars.

It's just not.

It's not like a a platform that

like cigar smokers really

gravitate towards.

So we want to see it.

You know, I feel like that, that

Instagram algorithm, you know,

if you're in like the cigar

world, I mean, it's so easy to

just like, it almost brings you

to where you know, you want to

be where like X you're, you're

kind of following certain people

and the opinions and what they

post and, and that's really it.

So my speculation with this,

this is just, I'm going to put

my tinfoil hat on a little bit

here for you, Caleb.

I appreciate that.

So I don't know if you noticed

it, but like a lot of like

people are doing their shows on

X and all that, like Tucker

Carlson and all that.

I think when Joe Rogan's like,

exclusive deal with Spotifier

expires, he's gonna go to X and

that's gonna change everything

because then you have 100

million people a week on X.

So MO, I got a question.

Are you on X?

Because we aren't on X And I've

had this thought in the back of

my mind that maybe we should get

on it, but I never was too sure.

Because you know, you already

got the TikTok, the Facebook,

the Instagram.

So it's like you got to add one

more thing to share everything

and all your content went.

I mean, I get it.

Is it a little annoying to add

and share?

Maybe so, but is it worth it?

So are you an accent?

Do you think it's worth it?

Or like you just said, it's it's

hard.

I I think, I think the Tina has

like 100 followers on exit.

I don't even check it really.

More than us.

More people probably use

Instagram.

Right, Yeah, I, I, I haven't, I

put zero time into it.

I've retweeted a couple things

or whatever, but no, man, it's

just cigar smokers are on

Facebook, Instagram, Facebook or

in Discord now.

Yeah, Discord, big thing.

And you know, even TikTok, I

thought TikTok would be bigger

for the industry and I don't

know if I'm not on TikTok, but I

thought it would be bigger for

the industry, but it doesn't

seem to really have.

Connected.

I can tell you as the person

that runs our TikTok, it fucking

sucks, yeah.

We get more stuff on the

Yu-gi-oh and what is it?

If I put on a mini clip that we

did where we say anything that

might tiptoe a line, you just

get a bazillion people who have

the opposite opinion of you and

they just report you and next

thing you know, you have to

remove your shit's getting

removed all the time.

They're like, it was offensive

that you said that this guy was

a nerd because he had a Yu-gi-oh

shirt on.

Or like, it's just shit like

that.

It's just like, come.

On man yeah, like.

I mean, come on man, we're just,

we're busting balls.

We all listen.

I play fucking Pokémon.

I just didn't like Yu-gi-oh

fucking who cares I was a

Pokémon kid, whatever who who

gives a fuck?

But you know they're removing

our shit.

Guys are like go fucking.

They'll like remove your post.

But like the comment where the

guy says go hang yourself from a

fucking ladder you fucking piece

of shit.

That's OK.

It's crazy, dude.

Like man, I don't know.

The rebuttals are more accepted

than the actual post.

Yeah, pretty much.

Dude.

We're, we're living in a wild

world.

I don't know.

Yeah, the Internet, it's a, it's

a good thing to bring people

together, but it's also a bad

thing for like just, I guess,

extra stress that you don't need

'cause you don't need to be

having Internet arguments with

people you'll never see in real

life that have a egg emoji.

Or some some.

Cartoon emoji.

I'll tell you, I think it gives

a voice to people that literally

have no real voice.

That that too, whether it be

good or positive.

It could be a good thing or a

bad thing.

You know some some people like

we've all heard the term

keyboard warrior.

No, yeah.

Right.

I mean, there are just

professional trolls out there.

Well, bro, think about OK, think

about.

How old are you, Jerry?

34. 34, OK.

And you guys are all about the

same age.

Yeah, we're both.

I'm 33.

So is Caleb.

OK, so think about how much the

gym has changed.

Yeah.

Over the years, because of

social media.

Disgusting how?

How many times you got to

fucking navigate around a

fucking somebody filming

themselves?

Yep, the tripod.

The tripod setup.

Yeah, that's the word.

Thank.

You you see?

Joey Swole made a career off of

telling people to stop doing

that.

Yeah, and rightfully so.

You see a girl, you see a girl

with a fat ass doing squats,

you're like, dude, I don't even

want to be working out here

because if I make eye contact

with her at any point, they're

going to put me out there.

Like I'm like predator, I'm a

fucking problem for for looking.

If I see somebody, I, I, I

fucked with somebody one time

and I said, listen, if you have,

if I get on camera, you got to

give me the footage because I

have these NDA's and stuff like

that.

People can't know them and they

thought I was serious.

I was fucking with.

But you shouldn't be filming if

you're getting other people like

dude, I'm so like, look at I, I

feel like a little bit of a

hypocrite saying this because

there are guys like on Instagram

that I get workouts from that

show you like what they're doing

in the gym and stuff like that.

But these guys got like a

million followers, bro.

You got 210 people following.

We don't care about your thirst

trap.

No, man.

I know, I know what you're

talking about.

Look at man, women, inherently

they they care about, they want

to look at, you know, if I see a

woman taking a selfie and she's

in the way of something, I get

over it.

OK.

But when I start seeing dudes

standing in the mirrors taking

fucking selfies in South, I'm

just like, I'm on, man.

Have we gotten to that?

Point I saw Jio doing that

earlier today at the gym.

Yeah, totally.

Were you?

Really, he wasn't doing that.

So here's my whole thing with

it.

So when it comes to gyms, it's a

private space.

If you're recording, like

something that requires a tripod

to be set up, I think you should

get permission from the

management staff to do so.

That's the only way, right?

Like, yeah.

Yeah, 100.

Percent now because it's their

space.

Now if someone, if you're like

you're working out with the

buddies, I'm like, yo man, I'm

going for this PR.

Can you record it for me real

quick?

Different.

Completely different.

Right, completely different.

That's completely different.

It should.

And on top of it, don't be a

Dick.

Don't be like, hey, oh, like

don't act like someone's the

asshole because they walk

through to go to their space.

Like, yeah, right.

Exactly.

Use some fucking common decency.

Like, no, you're the one who's

actually taking up space here,

like.

Right, Exactly.

Like dude, if I, if I got to

play like a fucking slalom with

these tripods, like it's just,

it's not.

You know, yeah.

Crazy.

But here's the thing, like where

I've seen people do it right,

because you know sometimes the

gym will have like those private

rooms where they have like the

classes and stuff like that.

Man, you want to go take a

picture of yourself just going

there?

It's filled with mirrors.

That's.

OK, I call that the the girl

selfie room.

That's where they all take the

selfie.

But dude, I can respect that

because you're out of the way.

You're not fucking with anybody.

No one's looking.

You don't get, you know, and,

and it's like, but, but dude,

like if you're, if you're using

like, let's say a bench or a

swat rag or whatever for an hour

and it should take you 15

minutes, that's crazy.

That's not fair.

It's not right.

And it's a limited space too.

Like, yes, what else is also

weird to me.

And I don't know if this happens

in like gyms by you, but for

whatever reason, like the actual

like guys do, like the

bodybuilding shows will like go

on the turf and pose and like

the bodybuilding underwear.

And I'm like, what the fuck are

you doing?

There are like actually like

young teenagers here that don't

need to see your fucking cock

outline in the mirror.

Yeah, like there's actual posing

rooms that you could go to.

I'm.

Glad I haven't seen that at our

gym.

GO Oh bro, I haven't seen it.

I'm.

Glad I have never seen that at

my gym and I'm very thankful.

No, I have seen guys that that

train for shows and stuff like

that get in the mid.

No, to their credit, they

usually go into the private

like, you know, those

classrooms.

Yeah, the posing.

I call it the posing.

Yeah, the opposing room, right.

But if you're in the gym, dude

in the middle of the gym and

there's like young people

around, whatever.

Like dude has some self respect.

I mean, it's just not.

Like all right.

It's narcissism dude.

For example, like all three of

us have daughters here.

Like if your daughter is at the

gym working out and she's like

1617 years old and there's a 40

year old man on the turf 10 feet

from her and nothing but a

fucking banana hammock, you're

like, yeah, the fuck are you

doing, dude?

Yeah.

Yeah, like.

No, like have some fucking

decency.

Yeah.

I think that's fucking crazy and

I don't that is like you guys

allow this like that's what's

crazy.

An ad on this and you old

fuckers in the sauna that want

to drop your droopy balls.

Fuck you guys too.

That's all keep it's all on you

fuckers that.

Didn't really that that almost

sounded like you were actually

wanting to keep doing it.

That didn't sound very genuine,

that nation, but not sound very

genuine or convincing.

Well, all right, I'll get more.

I'll get more into it.

Fuck you guys.

You guys saw we're good.

We're.

Good, I think you were.

Good.

I love that that's.

Funny.

That's good.

We always said we geneticate.

We always oh, Jim etiquette,

man.

First of all, you guys, if you

don't follow Jim fail Nation,

you're missing.

We do.

It's funny.

That might be the great.

I mean, that guy never misses.

I don't hear that.

Well, I don't know who runs it,

but they never, I mean they

called Jim like spot on.

I got to say, MO, you know what?

Know who else never misses you

with the cigar?

Right here, man.

Wow, thanks bro.

I'm telling you, I'm telling you

this cigar, it ain't missing,

bro.

It's a hit.

It's a banger.

It's a hit.

I'll be the first to say it

right here.

That being said, getting toward

the end of this interview with

you hanging out, it's nice to

see your face.

Yeah, man, I hear that a lot

actually.

My man, no, it's my man you like

to keep to yourself, but don't

keep to yourself too much.

Yeah, no, it's not good for

work.

You know, it's like, you know,

it's hard to, I was telling

people to like, I think a lot of

people don't realize the mental

part of, of putting yourself out

there with a product, right?

I love it.

I hate it.

I love it.

I hate it.

It's the worst.

It's the best.

It's the, you know, the constant

roller coaster of emotion.

Sales are good, sales sucks, you

know, especially as you're

building something in that

roller coaster of like

inconsistency right in

everything.

And just, I think if you always

joke around people, if I had

confidence going into this, it's

like gone now.

Like if I had feelings or

anything, it's like gone now.

But I think, you know, you just

being human, you got to be human

sometimes, man.

You just got to realize like

there's a there's a toll to all

of this, too.

Well, then on top of it too,

there's also that like,

humbleness of being able to take

criticism.

Oh dude, if you can't, don't

ever do.

Don't ever put yourself out

there in any way, shape or form.

Oh, there's, there's guys in

this industry that can't handle

being told like they did

something wrong.

You've I'm sure you've met them

in like or saw their post on

Instagram.

You know again.

We won't talk about it.

Hey, you just gotta gotta stay

above.

It and it's just very, very

shocking that like it's all that

nonsense to me.

I feel like that that way with a

podcast too.

You know what it was like

telling our buddies and shit

that we were starting a podcast?

I mean, dude, if if 10 year old

you told you in your 30s you

were going to virtually smoke

with other dudes on a fucking

phone, I mean, you'd probably be

like, damn, dude, I don't know

if I want to grow up.

I mean, so let's just be honest.

A Friday night and we're like,

you know, so that's funny.

You mean we're not going to

chase ass on Friday?

But.

This is this is very special.

What we are doing right now is

unique to our industry that we

have normalized and and made

awesome.

Being able to just have a cigar

together, whether it's in

person, virtually, whatever and

just enjoy the shit out of it,

man.

I mean, what's more beautiful

than that?

Nothing man.

And I, I, I wish, I wish going

into this 2 1/2 years ago, I

didn't come in with a lot of

confidence.

I came into this like, dude, me

and my two asshole drunk

friends.

See what we got?

I love you.

I love you guys very much.

I respect you boys very much.

But I, I was like, let's just

start a drunk asshole podcast

with my buddies and we'll talk

about fucking cigars because

that's what we do.

We smoke cigars, we drink

whiskey and that's literally

what we do as a hobby.

You know, we're all, we're all

fathers here.

We, we, we all work hard.

We it's like a little bit of a

get, you know, get away from

life and it's nice to be able to

do this.

And I mean, you're right, it is

special.

It is very special.

And you know, in the beginning

we, we took a lot of hate from

people.

They were like, dude, you guys

are so gay.

Like you're in your 30s, You're

fucking, what are you guys

doing?

First of all, you don't

understand this industry.

We are like barely, barely wet

behind the ears.

We are so young in this

industry, you guys.

Are stolen.

Viper, I could do this fucking

we could do this podcast for 40

fucking years.

Well, well, OK, so when you said

to me about, Oh well, if

somebody, if you wanted to sell,

let's say sell patina or

whatever, bro, like I look at

this and I get to retire into

it.

Yeah, this is an industry that

you age into.

You know what?

I.

Mean, yeah, you're still a very

young guy in the industry,

that's for sure.

Yeah, I mean for, for the big,

you know, big.

So I'm with you, man.

I mean, look at anybody gives

you shit, dude.

There would be no patina without

the podcast that I started in

2014 with my buddy.

That's how that's how it all

started.

You're getting emotional.

No.

I saw the talent.

I don't.

Have eight years into this.

They don't have emotions.

You're fucking dead inside.

Bro.

But yeah man, don't let shit

man, you never know where this

will take you.

Bro it's really funny man.

The guys that were some of the

biggest critics are the dudes

that listen all the time.

Yo, man, you got any new

suggestions?

Yeah, man, Yo, man, I just

fucking picked up that that

cigar you guys were smoking the

other day, man.

It was fucking cool, man.

I was some fucking really good

cigar.

And you're just like, yeah, wow,

this guy literally.

Called me a homo like 10 times.

Yeah, he's like, you guys are

homos like.

Absolutely, dude.

I mean, it's like, well, you

have to understand a lot of that

comes from insecurity, though,

not the not the when you're

willing to take a risk that

other people around you will

not, you're going to get

criticized because you're

essentially reminding them that

you have the fortitude to go

forward with something that you

want to do that they don't have

themselves.

I always say, man, the balls in

this fucking room.

We put out a fucking hour and a

half to two hour show, sometimes

fucking three hours with some

people.

So.

We have the fucking balls that

put ourselves out there.

Have a conversation that you can

publicly watch.

Well.

Run a fucking YouTube show.

Well, you bring up the critics

thing.

So there's a have you ever heard

of Greg Plitt?

He was like a fitness like guy.

He died in a like filming a

stunt in an accident.

But one of his like quotes was

like, if you want to be free

from criticism, say nothing, do

nothing, be nothing and just sit

in your room all day and you

will never get criticized.

He goes if you want to do

anything with your life, you

will be criticized because with

success becomes people that will

hate you because your success

reminds them of their failure.

Man.

That's just real.

It's wild and and it's, I mean,

dude, think about it.

You guys go to the gym, right?

How much shit do you get for the

time you spend at the gym from

people that don't go to the gym?

Nobody that goes to the gym is

ever going to give you shit

about going to the gym.

I do it for mental health.

Oh fuck.

Me too hockey.

Once you hit over 30 it's for

your head, not your muscles.

Hockey, I fucking, I still

skate.

My dad, even my father again,

love him, respect him.

He's made me the man I am.

Still gives me shit.

Why do you still play fucking

sports, bro?

You're just going to get hurt.

Like I don't understand it.

Like you're not going to the

NHL, bro.

You're not, you know what I

mean?

Like softball.

You're not going to the MLB.

It's like, bro, I do it because

I like to do it, man.

It's fun.

It's it's bro, there ain't

nothing like popping a fucking

30 rack after a fucking hockey

game that you won with the boys

and just are crushing beers in

the locker room.

You want camaraderie in your

life?

Sit in a fucking hockey locker

room after the fucking game that

you won and you fucking just

buried and shit pumped some

fucking awful hockey team.

You want camaraderie, bro?

There it is.

That hockey players are the

gayest straight guys you will

ever meet.

Let's say Jerry.

Jerry talks about the old guys

flopping their Dicks out at the

gym sauna.

But have you ever been inside a

hockey locker room?

There's a lot of Dick flopping

out there.

They're they're weird.

Hockey players are a weird bunch

in the locker.

Room I won't comment on it.

I'll let you guys, you know,

just assume.

You know what Jerry?

You could get could get back

into bowling and bowl a couple 3

hundreds like your dad so you

could.

My dad's a big bowler, big

bowling guy.

Really, really good.

Really good bowler.

Like 3 hundreds all the time.

Like if I bowled one, it'd be

like winning that fantasy

Football League.

I always, I never won, you know,

except you get a cool ring for

it.

I still to this day, when you

told me the story of how you

felt when you told your dad you

didn't want to bowl anymore.

I've told this story publicly.

I'll say it one last time unless

it comes up again, because I

like telling.

It's pretty funny.

I was a a pretty good bowler.

I was bowling with my father.

I was kind of under, under his

wing.

He was teaching me like how to

be a better bowler.

And he's very respected in this

community here in Buffalo.

I have the same name as him.

So if anyone in the bowling

community knows my name, they're

like, is your dad Jerry

Lewandowski?

I'm like, yeah, that's my dad.

They're like, oh, he's such a

fucking good bowler.

And you're just like, OK, I

remember the day I told my dad

I, I didn't want to bowl

anymore.

I just, I don't know.

I, I don't like bowling for one

reason.

It's a sport that requires

physics, and physics aren't

100%.

So you can throw the absolute

perfect ball down the lane every

single time in the exact same

spot, the exact same revolutions

on the ball, the exact same

speed, and there's still

physics, so there's still some

luck involved.

And I don't like that.

So you can be literally a

machine and you can go in there,

throw the same perfect shot

every time and you can get

fucked by physics.

And I don't like a game that

involves luck.

It reminds me too much of

gambling.

So I told my dad I didn't really

want to bowl anymore because,

you know, you get robbed enough

times on fucking good shots.

You're just like, this fucking

sucks dude.

How the fuck did I leave a 710

split on a fucking perfect ball

that hit the pocket?

It just sucks.

So I tell my dad I'm like, I

don't want to bowl anymore, this

is stupid.

I don't like it.

I swear to God I might have.

I might as well have told my

father I was coming out of the

closet.

That's how we took it.

Oh, how, How did that

conversation?

He just, he was very

disappointed in me.

He still brings it up.

He's like, I remember when you

quit bowling, man.

It was like the day like I like

I was dead to him or something.

Like not really.

He's very proud of me.

He's a fucking amazing guy.

But like I just he he bust my

balls about it once in a while

and it it's it's funny to listen

to him.

Well, he only bust your balls

because you took up figure

skating after, that's all.

Yeah, sure.

Yeah.

Figure skater.

No, it's just I couldn't do it

anymore, man.

And what's funny is I still like

to go out with the boys # some

beers, fucking bowl a couple

games, you know, midnight

bowling.

You, you bring your wife and you

know, whoever, it's a good time.

But the competitive shit, like

the sanctioned leagues, I

couldn't do that no more, man.

It was just, it got too much

like it was just too much for

me.

I don't know.

All right, so MO, going forward,

we're ending 2024.

Anything new to come in 2025?

Yeah, there will be the next

core line.

Another new addition.

Yeah, man, it's going to be box

press.

Well, two of the so it'll be

box, it'll come in a box press

and most likely a parejo.

I haven't decided 100%, but

that'll be it's.

So it's going to be the

strongest cigar that the people

put out yet going to be Mexican.

Mexican rapper Esciro over

Broadleaf with two different

heroes in it.

So I'm excited about it, man.

Jerry's perking up there for

that.

Do what I do.

Yeah, yeah, I saw, I saw the

microphone move a little bit.

Must be in the locker room.

But anyway.

Oh, hockey stick.

Yeah, the.

Hockey Lager.

The old twig that'll.

Be the next core line.

So we'll see.

Got a name for it yet?

Or keeping that under wraps.

I do, but I'm just waiting for

the legal stuff.

Don't, can't, can't say it yet.

Don't want to get.

Fucked.

It'll be some of the things we

touched on in the conversation.

It will have something to do

with that so all.

Right.

Cool.

Well, MO, I, I can speak for the

two of my constituents here.

It was fantastic to see you,

fantastic to have.

You on man.

Thank you for having me man.

It's been my pleasure.

Look at without guys like you

guys like me have no outlet to

talk about our brand.

You guys have to understand the

service that you provide for

brands, especially like the

Tina.

So I am forever grateful to the

people like you for giving me

the opportunity to come out here

and, and talk about, you know,

the brand and, and just about

life in general and, and all of

that.

So people get to know, you know

a little bit about me and, and

so thank you guys really.

Bro I mean this from the bottom

of my heart man you really are a

top notch dude.

I really do enjoy.

I enjoy your company.

Thank you.

Feel the same way by you guys.

Hell yeah, We'll, we'll meet up

again in New Orleans.

Yes Sir, looking forward to it.

That being said, man, what talk

to Geo Geo trend God over here.

Look at he's got his camera cut

off as an at his neck because

you just you don't understand

these new biceps he's got.

Yeah, so no, that's fucking none

of that.

I had to buy a tea.

So we do like a virtual her for

our Patreon people.

We did like a big annual one and

for that I wore AT shirt that

said no I'm not on steroids but

thank you for asking.

This is how many times I get

this shit ass to me.

Yeah, that's awesome.

Good problem.

All right, not a bad.

Problem to have.

Thank you gentlemen.

I really appreciate.

It man, absolutely man, anytime

be.

Good guys.

We'll see you soon.

Take it.

Easy.

You got it.

Audios, gentlemen.

Take it easy.

Peace out dude.

I love that guy.

Every time we talk to him, I

just, I don't know, I just feel

more positive about myself and

my life and I don't know.

He's just like one of them guys

that he's very genuine and he

keeps it a buck and it's

awesome.

Not a lot of guys out there.

The the conversation is never

forced like that.

Took like 50 different turns.

I don't know.

We went down a rabbit hole.

We were talking everything there

and it didn't feel out of place.

Never does, never does.

It's a guy who just grinds and I

get it.

That being said, Caleb got some

stuff to get to all.

Right guys, it is now time for

patrol gone wild, brought to you

by Dunbarton tobacco and Trust,

makers of fine cigars such as MI

Kadida, sin copper miso moisture

de Sacco, red meat lovers.

I did it again.

I did it again.

Oh my.

Add this to the.

Bluebird bro, we are literally

laughing at you right now.

We're sitting there like.

Oh, I know.

I saw you guys.

I saw you guys.

Dude.

Cleaning up, it's getting bad.

You know what I already have?

I've I started 'cause we're

going to make like a clip show

or something.

I've already started clipping

all my errors so I have them all

set.

I think we could do an entire

hour and a half show of you

fucking shut up and I love you.

Yeah, I know.

We don't want to be too, you

know, insensitive to you.

We were like, oh, he's rolling,

he's rolling.

We make fun of you 'cause we

love you.

Alright, well and.

Then you're the Broncos and miss

the kick.

Anyways, Dunbart and tobacco,

they also have the Pulpeta,

Umagog and many many others.

So get out there and go support

some DTT.

And without further ado, let's

roll on into patrol gone wild.

Patrol gone wild.

We're doing it big.

All right, up first for you

guys.

Now I have a stupid vodka thief.

So this is out of Denmark.

This is a story out of 2018.

So we have a thief.

He stole a bottle of the world's

most expensive vodka at Cafe 33

in Copenhagen, Denmark.

So this is a bottle.

It's called Russo, about teak

vodka.

It's worth $1.3 million.

What the fuck?

Yeah, I, I don't know.

Vodka cure cancer.

Now see, I don't know how good

the vodka is, but here's where

the worth is.

So the bottle is made out of 6.6

lbs of gold.

So just think of how much an

ounce of gold cost.

Now get your ounce of gold, get

it to 16 oz for a pound, times

it by 6.6.

So there's the weight in gold,

and then there's equal amounts

of silver as well.

So do 6.6 lbs of silver times it

by whatever silver silver is

worth.

So there you go, that's how much

the bottle is.

So it was stolen from Cafe 33

Bar in Copenhagen.

It also has a diamond encrusted

cap.

So someone reported that this

valuable bottle of vodka was

stolen out of the cafe.

But here's where the story takes

a weird twist.

All the vodka in this bottle was

drinking.

But the guy who stole this

bottle threw the bottle in a

ditch.

So they found the bottle.

They found it empty in a ditch.

So the owners got the bottle

back.

All the vodka was gone.

But here's where I'm labeling it

the stupid vodka thief.

Because he could have sold the

bottle for all that gold, all

that silver and the diamond

encrusted cap.

So this guy, whoever decided to

have a nice drinky poo, had a

drink, but left behind the

valuable goods.

He could have sold this bottle

for a ton of money.

So he's our stupid vodka thief.

I I just feel like that's how,

you know, it was like a

crackhead.

They were more worried about

getting drunk than what they

actually had.

And I feel like that happens a

lot.

Like you see, like a thief, they

break into like a liquor store,

right?

They never take the high value

stuff.

They take like the garbage

plastic bottle of vodka.

Well, I'll tell you one thing.

I work at a liquor store we got

we had a major heist like over

summer.

Now they took about $10,000

worth of bottles, but all the

bottles that were worth 304

hundred $200, they didn't touch

them.

They just took they took the

honey, the Rami and the.

Because they don't know.

Yeah, they didn't take all the

allocated bourbons, didn't

touch, didn't touch, but they

took everything else.

So yeah, I, I I hear what you're

saying.

They, they they didn't realize

what they had.

They just wanted a quick fix.

So yeah, you're right.

It's probably just the local

drunk.

We had a local here, right?

We have a shop here.

They were recently broken into.

What was taken was not any of

the valuable liquor or cigars

that were in this place.

What was taken was a 12 pack of

Red Bull sugar free, if I don't,

if I recall correctly, sugar

free Red Bull 12 pack, about

$300.00 in cash.

And I, I want to say it was a

bottle of Hennessy and that was

it.

The lighters.

Oh, and and a couple lighters.

Oh yeah, you got to light up

your cigs or whatever, you know,

whatever.

So now there's some crackhead

out there lighting up his

fucking crack bowl with a

fucking Zicar.

That's an homage.

So I just wanted to share that

story because we have a very

stupid thief who could have made

more money selling the bottle.

No pawn shop would have took

that.

You'd have to sell it to like a

jewelry store, someone who like.

Could melt it down exactly do

with the right thing.

Yeah, you have to.

Or some sort of coin collector,

Someone who deals with precious

metals, gold, silver, diamonds

did.

You want A1 bottle?

There's more than one bottle.

It's just the world's most

expensive vodka, that's all.

The owners of this bar, they do

intend to buy, rebuy the bottle

and refill it as well.

Since they they have the

original bottle, they're going

to buy another and they're going

to refill it.

Well, they probably already have

the store.

They sanitize it.

How do they refill?

They can't refill the bottle.

Well, they're probably going to

buy another bottle, fill it back

up, so they might be buying 2.

And they say a couple of these

bottles of the world's most

expensive vodka were donated

from a Russian businessman as

well.

That's how you know that the

bottle, the actual contents of

the vodka in it, ain't shit.

Yeah, and it's just solely the

bottle that's valuable.

Well, just think about that.

So if they bought 2 bottles,

that's $6 million.

Yeah, about it.

Sitting on a shelf, what is this

establishment raking in on a

daily basis that they can buy a

six million dollar $6 million

and. 2 bottles?

That's a conspiracy I'd like to

dive into sometime.

I want to know what they do.

They got those Russian oligarchs

just loaning, loaning them the

world's most expensive, I mean.

My God, if you got caught doing

that in Russia, they'd kill you.

Probably.

Here, it's a crackhead.

Yeah, there you'd be missing

some fingers or a hand.

No, they'd be they they would

kill you.

A $3,000,000 bottle.

You're dead.

All right, moving things along

to story #2 now the thumbnail

says buckle up, this is going to

be a wild ride.

I have a web, what's it called?

Cam footage.

Of body.

Cam, body Cam footage of AAI

don't want to say a teenager,

but a young adult getting pulled

over now there's no back story.

There's no crime I have.

I'm just going to guess this is

like a DWIDUI and then another

felony tagged along with it.

But you guys are going to laugh

at this footage.

Robert's license.

I don't have it on me but I know

my driver.

License.

Why don't you have your license

on yet?

I forgot it, can I?

Call my.

Mom.

No, ma'am, there's no reason to

call your mom slur speech.

She got several things going.

Was she bawling now?

What are you upset about?

My mom.

Why does that have to what?

OK.

When you going to jail?

Or when you drink alcohol or

anything that ends intoxicating.

OK, you can't operate the

vehicle.

No and then intoxication.

I was parking this week but

immediately.

I can't.

I can't.

Yeah, I call my.

Mommy, you're fine.

You're 21.

I have my cousin's gun on me.

Hard me I've.

Got a gun?

Get let go of it.

Let go of it, Let go I.

Might be pregnant too, I don't

know.

Holy shit, what is happening

right?

This girl's got some issues

going on.

Yeah, there's definitely shit

happening here.

Admitted to smoking, has her

cousin's gun on her and then she

also might be pregnant.

This girl's just having a bad

day.

I mean, again, not to Monday

morning quarterback, but like

any sobriety testing, like I

just feel like that's been a pat

down.

Yeah.

Why was there no look at?

Yeah, we don't.

I'm not here to critique like,

but why?

Like that's.

Just why was there?

It looks like there was a female

officer there, yeah.

Why was?

Sounded like it.

Why was there no, you know, like

officer safety?

Pat down.

Done.

I mean, that just that

situation, you have a clearly

unstable drunk girl with a

firearm.

Yeah, that, that.

Yeah, possibly pregnant.

Who wants her mommy?

That was the funny part.

Kate.

I want my mommy.

No, no, no.

That's the universal I'm going

to jail thing.

Sounds about right.

So in my my career, I've noticed

one thing.

If a dude has some crazy shit in

his car, they always say I let

me, I'm going to make a call

real quick.

They always say that and they

always ask to call their mother,

their father or whoever may be

watching their children at that

time.

They're going to their immediate

inner child state.

Yeah, sounds reasonable, though.

You know, you got to someone

who's going to take care of you

or your younglings.

Sounds like you want to call

them.

That's pretty reasonable.

But yeah, I just thought it was

a funny little clip for you

guys.

Just wanted to share that with

you because we had some funny

body camera footage.

I'm sure there's a DUIA gun

possession charge too and girl

just was dealing with some shit.

Well, yeah, she she found her

way into jail.

Yeah, that's for sure.

All right.

All right, last story for you.

I have all that over a bag of

chips.

So we are going to no other

state than Ohio for this story.

I like the headline.

We have A salty gunman is

sentenced for shooting a

stranger in the face after he

refused to share his bag of

potato chips at a strip club.

Hell yeah.

So this is in Ohio at a strip

club.

We have.

Melvin Wright Junior, 43, was

sentenced on Monday to 9 to 12

years in prison after pleading

guilty to attempted murder and

other related charges for a

November 28th, 2023 non fatal

shooting, according to the

Summit County Prosecutor's

Office.

The county is safer without

Melvin Wright on the streets,

says the prosecutor.

So there is no place for

senseless, senseless violence in

Akron, OH.

So this happened in Akron

outside of a a strip club.

So 31 year old he accosted the

victim outside Lusty Adventure,

a strip club in Akron around

9:00 PM Lusty Adventure.

I know he asked this other man

for some of his chips.

The other victim who did not

know the gunman, they had no

relation, no connection at all.

He declined.

And when he declined to share

his chips, this is when the

other man shot him in the face

when he followed them to his

car.

So the victim then drove himself

to Summa Health Akron City

Hospital where he survived the

shooting.

Following six days of treatment.

Officers then found right on a

metro bus in Akron before they

arrested him and seized him with

a handgun during the arrest as

well.

So he pled guilty to attempted

murder while having weapons

under disability and illegal

possession of a firearm.

In addition to the his prison

sentence, he will require to

register as a violent offender

every year for the next 10 years

following his release.

I feel like that was a gift, his

sentence for what he did.

Yeah, or you not.

I mean we.

Dealt with this attempted

murder.

You never get like crazy

sentences like what did, how

long did he say, you say again.

9:00 to 12:00.

OK.

That's more like in New York you

would have got like 4.

It's it sounds.

Funny you got RORD, Yeah?

Yeah, man, I didn't mean to

laugh at that.

That just.

We ran a plate the other day and

like it tells you if you, the

registered owner is on parole

and this dude was on parole for

murder, we're like like how the

this is an actual killer.

I was like, this guy murdered

somebody.

Yikes.

It's kind of weird.

Bro, it is weird.

Yeah, it's weird because there's

murderers among us.

It just leaves you with that

thought.

You don't know who you're going

to run to any given day.

I don't know the circumstances.

Yeah, yeah.

That some guy could have did

something horrible to his

family, murdered the guy, did

like a year, but he's on parole

for it.

You know what I mean?

Like.

Like, you know, all right, you

know, someone like diddled this

kid and he shot the guy.

I get it.

Got to do some time but I get

it.

You think you think you do time

for that.

Keep it above with me.

That's.

It depends on the state.

In New York, probably.

No, the dude.

In the in the ACT you wouldn't.

I think it would really just

depend on.

The judge.

No.

You want a jury.

You want a jury you can judge.

That, yeah, I think a jury would

be good, right?

Yeah, not guilty.

What?

Wait, why 'cause I would have

did the same thing?

Right, 'cause I think of like

California with like Cain

Velasquez, who's like still

going through it and like, they

did not give that dude bail.

Blast from the past right there,

yeah.

Like, they, they didn't want to

give Cain Velasquez bail on this

dude's like, actually, like a

person who commit, you know,

contributed to society.

Yeah, like, in numerous charity

things and all that.

And then it took, like, Dana

White, like, calling it a lot of

political favors to get him

bail.

Yeah.

Well, like I said, like the

story, like the thumbnail sells

all that over a bag of potato

chips.

Like to play on all that in a

bag of chips?

Exactly.

You got it.

Oh, I got it, I said.

I said it right away.

Senseless violence, guys.

So that will conclude this

week's Patrol Gone Wild.

TuneIn next week for another

Patrol Gone Wild segment brought

to you by Dunbarton Tobacco and

Trust.

And is now time for cigar and

whiskey news with Caleb.

All right up first coming from

the Cigar Hustler universe, we

have Pastana Catastrophic

failure is shipping next week.

So this is the latest from

Pastagna.

Our follows over there at Cigar

Hustler we have the catastrophic

failure is a 5 1/2 by 52 box

press Robusto extra blend wise,

it uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra

wrapper over binders from Mexico

and Pennsylvania and fillers

from the Dominican Republic and

Nicaragua.

Like other Pastagna cigars, it's

made at Fabrika di Tobaccios

Nico Suena SA in Estele,

Nicaragua.

Each cigar has a price of $12.00

and production is limited to 500

bundles of 10 cigars.

We are very proud to introduce

Catastric Failure, a cigar that

it exemplifies everything

Pastagna Cigar stands for, says

Mike Stepan Kovich, founder of

Pastagna, in a press release.

The cigar blends traditional

expertise with modern

innovation, making a standout

addition to our lineup.

So the company says there are no

plans for any additional

production making this A1 and

Done release.

It will begin shipping to stores

Monday, December 2nd.

He.

Can't say catastrophic, but he

can say Stefan Kavich.

How about he can say Stefan

Kavich but can't say Saka?

Yeah, what the?

Fuck.

Man I got to sober up with some

DP bro bro.

That's it's mind blowing.

Like you know what describes you

to AT?

Like I make this phrase

jokingly.

Mission failed successfully.

Yeah, life model.

It wasn't catastrophic.

Yeah, it was average.

Can't wait to try that cigar.

Obviously the boys at Cigar

Hustler are absolutely pounding

shit out and can't wait to try

that.

All right, Yeah, I'm looking

forward to it.

Up next, we have, you know what,

a bunch of Massholes.

So this is the story out of

Massachusetts.

They are thinking about a

generational tobacco ban bill

coming next year.

So in 2018, Massachusetts became

the 6th state in the US to raise

the minimum age to purchase

tobacco, the 21.

Now next year, 2025, they could

be the first state to pass a

generational tobacco ban.

So it hasn't happened yet, but

it's on, it's on the bill.

It's on the law books next year

in 2025.

So you got Senator, you got a

Democrat, Republican and a

couple others.

They plan on introducing a bill

that would ban anyone born after

a specific date from ever

purchasing tobacco products in

the state.

I thought, this is America,

please forgive me.

I don't know why you could tell

people that they can't purchase

tobacco.

To be honest, I don't think it's

going to pass.

It didn't pass in California.

Remember AB 927 or 925 or 935?

Sorry, AB 935.

Absolute fucking joke.

They tried to do this.

Gavin Newsom tried to have this

pass in California.

It failed miserably.

Fuck that guy.

Fuck these guys in Massachusetts

as well.

That's why I said Massholes.

So they didn't give a date yet,

but they're saying no earlier

than 2004, maybe 2005.

They wouldn't be the first state

to ever do this.

Propose this 25.

No, 2005, because you got to go

back.

Yeah, yeah.

To make you 21.

OK.

So they wouldn't be the first

state to ever.

So they wouldn't be the first

state because this actually ran

through 10 other states.

Obviously we already talked

about California, but ten other

states had this.

It did not pass.

So they tried to do a law

earlier this year in 2024 in

Massachusetts to ban anyone born

after January 1st, 2000 from

ever purchasing tobacco or E

cigarettes.

It didn't pass, didn't go

through.

So it was a total failure and it

got a lot of pushback.

But now they're trying to maybe

do it again.

And a similar law is heading to

UK's Parliament as well.

So I guess it's the thing going

around, but I'm guessing with

the way the election turned out,

this probably won't pass.

It'll probably be DOA dead on

arrival.

So just wanted to bring this to

the news.

I, I, you know, it's a liberal

state like Massachusetts.

I figure this might pop up, but

hopefully voters people won't

allow this to happen.

Let us pray we'll be against it,

and we'll be in the corner of

PCA fighting that right here

from our garage in New York.

We're about to have the fucking

Boston Tea Party 2 point O.

The Boston Cigar Party.

So any of you guys, listeners,

fans.

But I'm not throwing cigars in

the river.

No, we're gonna smoke those.

No, throw those E cigarettes in

the cigar.

Yeah, throw the E.

Cigarettes that.

But you know, the kids, the

young kids, they love to vape

and do all that stuff, so

whatever.

You gotta find.

For your right to vape all

right, up next.

So this may seem like a repeat

story, but it's a little

different because we have a

little different flavoring going

on here.

So we brought this up maybe a

year or two ago out of it's

called Tamsworth distilling.

Now we brought this story up

about the crab whiskey.

Oh, remember that one story?

Remember this story?

How can I forget?

It's fucking disgusting.

I'm glad it never found its way

here.

All right, well, here's a new

venture from Tamsworth

Distilling.

It's called the Spruce and

Goose.

It is a whiskey experience like

no other.

So this distilling company,

Tansworth, they already brought

to you the crab infused whiskey,

then they did a venison infused

whiskey and they've also done a

Beaver infused whiskey.

But now this year.

For liquors.

Beaver Liquors.

But now this year for Christmas

and the holidays they are doing

a goose flavored whiskey.

So their new whiskey is

combining the flavors of roast

goose, spruce needles and plum

for an adventurous and memorable

drinking experience.

My three favorite things are

goose, some pine needles.

Well, the plum.

The plum.

Doesn't sound too bad, but

everything else, yeah.

I would have tried the crab.

I mean, I still say I would like

if you guys get it, I'll try it.

But we can see if we can find

it.

I don't know if it's still out

there, might have been a one and

done.

Like I bet you it smells so bad.

Probably it's got to be like a

shooter like that.

Well, so right now they're

offering it in a 200 milliliter

bottle.

It's $60.00 for the bottle.

So distiller Matt Power said

that it began with the process

of slow roasting a goose.

And then you got to maximize the

mailard reaction, a chemical

process for the golden color of

the deep, savory flavors of

roasted meat.

And then the skin is removed,

it's finely ground and is fused

into a whiskey base.

And then they use a Rotary

evaporator to extract the

essence of the roasted goose and

then it doesn't stop there.

So they use the goose

distillate.

It's obviously derived from the

whiskey infused base that I

talked about.

Then they use spruce spirit.

So they use the natural grain

spirit from Spruce Tips.

Three days before distillation.

They put that in there.

And then they have plum infused

bourbon, which is 2 year old

aged bourbon enriched with the

sweetness of Santa Enos plums

and they blend it all together

and that is how you get the rich

flavor of spruce and goose.

So they says.

They say it has ripe fruit

notes, balsa wood graininess and

pineness with vanilla, caramel

and honey.

So like I said, it's not your

everyday sipping whiskey, but

it's creative, one-of-a-kind

drinking experience may be fit

for the holidays.

That sounds like ass.

I'd rather eat ass than drink.

That I'd honestly rather try

this over the crab one all.

Right, Jerry, you got to, you

got to try one or you die.

The goose over the crab, no.

No, no, you got all.

You got all the whole smorgas.

The beef?

No, the venison, Beaver, Beaver,

spruce and goose or the crab?

Which one you choosing?

I'm going with the venison.

That would probably it'd

probably be really good.

No, it's disgusting.

It's still nasty.

You wouldn't.

You wouldn't just say fuck it,

I'm going to drink the Beaver

just to say it.

No, it'd be funny.

No.

I'm like fuck it, give me the

Beaver.

No, All right.

So anyways, like I said, it's

$65 for a 200 milliliter bottle

and it's 100 proof, so it could

be purchased directly from the

distillery in New Hampshire or

online at retailers like

Sailbox.

So that's what I got for you

guys in whiskey and cigar news.

Perfect.

That being said, it's time to

get into our cigar review.

Well guys, we talked about this

earlier in the show, so our

cigar review segment is now

brought to you by Small Batch

Cigars.

This has been a long time in the

work, can't talk there, but you

know, we've got more in depth in

it earlier.

But again, special thanks to

Andrew and Dave.

You guys are awesome.

We're excited to have you guys

on and you know, be a part of

the hearth.

You guys are awesome guys.

Make sure you're checking out

Small Batch Cigar.

They are an incredible company.

They will get your cigars from

California to New York in like 2

days and not charge you a dime

extra.

I don't know how the fuck they

do it but they make their magic

happen.

Their UPS driver has to hate

them.

It's kind of the only way to

describe it, right?

Yeah.

I remember one time I ordered

something on a Saturday.

It was here on Monday morning.

I was like, how is this even

possible?

Yeah, like, how?

How is this possible?

I don't know.

They figured it out, but that

being said, make sure you're

using code word herf for 10% off

all of your orders.

Some exclusions do apply.

We're really happy to have them

on board and we appreciate them.

We learned about the exclusions

the hard way, so we did that on

our own so you don't have to

deal with that mistake now.

Caleb, Are you ready for your

review?

I'm ready.

I'll start things off.

So we did the patina 2024 LE so

appearance wise, I like the I

like the band.

You know it's got the nice the

blue, the green, nice white

regal patina 2024.

So I'm giving it an 8 1/2 right

there color band.

It fits the theme that patina

goes for that like rust, the

oxidation, turning the green

factor right there burn, giving

it a nine nice even burn the

whole way through.

Now construction.

This is where the cigar really

shine.

This thing was built like a

tank, Nice long ashes you could

have on this thing given a nine

and a half.

Very, very solid draw.

I did a straight cut with this

thing, gave it a nine.

No wishes there.

Nice full clouds of smoke and

enjoyment.

We had MO Molly from Patina on

with us.

I gave it a nine and a half.

Talked about a lot of

interesting things.

So you guys hopefully enjoyed

that.

So my overall score is a 45 1/2

times up by two, you get a 91.

My additional notes on my cold

draw, it's a nice earthy,

chocolatey notes.

The chocolate flavored stayed

through for the whole cigar and

then peppery hints in there as

well.

And you know what, I thought it

was more like a medium, medium,

medium smoke.

You know, it wasn't too strong,

definitely wasn't light, but

stayed solid medium throughout

the whole way.

All right, cool man.

The Patina limited edition 2024.

I've been looking forward to

this cigar the last couple

weeks.

When we first got them from

Small Batch, by the way, that

was pretty cool.

Made it real easy for us.

I was real excited.

I was really excited to do it.

Obviously having MO on was, you

know, we, we haven't had him on

in a while, but it was good to

talk to him.

Caleb did touch.

We we talked about a lot of

different things.

Oh my goodness, a lot.

So let me get into this review

appearance.

I gave it a nine.

I really like the band on it.

Obviously you're getting that

patina Classic green right

there.

Whatever the color is.

Patina is the color.

OK Oxidation man oxidation.

Learn your science.

Indigo.

The burn, I gave it a 9.5.

I really liked it.

I didn't really have to touch it

up at all.

Burned real even throughout the

cigar construction.

Very hard to the touch, almost

like a grainy bra leaf to it.

Nice wrapper on it.

No issues at all on that draw.

I gave it a nine as well.

Straight cut mine like Caleb.

Really really enjoyed the smoke

output.

Not really much more to say on

that.

Did exactly what I expected it

to do Overall enjoyment.

I gave it a nine as well.

Obviously having MO on.

I love that guy.

Top notch dude.

Bring me to a 45.591 overall.

Some notes I had.

Caleb did touch on the chocolate

notes that you get throughout

the cigar, obviously.

I think that's that Mexican San

Andreas, you know, that

Pennsylvania broad leaf and that

Connecticut broad leaf really

shining, bringing a fantastic

chocolatey smoke.

I did have some notes of pepper

in there as well.

I know you said it really wasn't

that peppery.

Did you say that?

Yeah, it wasn't like super

peppery overall.

Not the more chocolate than

pepper.

Yeah, no doubt about that.

Yeah, I really, really like the

cigar man.

I would definitely go try this,

especially if if they're still

in stock I would definitely go

do that.

Last guy looked they were

perfect boxes and three packs so

he said what a limited run of

these was like 5000. 5000

cigars.

So what is it?

A box of 10, so 500 boxes, guys,

get your hands on it while

they're gone.

It's a really, really nice

cigar.

Not while they're gone, while

they're here.

Before they can.

Before they're gone.

Yeah, sorry Caleb, you rubbing

off on me.

Yeah, it happens.

I rub a lot.

Yeah.

Oh, that's right.

Nasty ass.

All right, well, I'll get him to

my review.

Get nasty appearance.

I'm right there with you, Jer.

I gave this a nine as well.

The band it is that nice little

riff, but also it's different

from the other Patina cigars.

Like still make it unique so you

understand what you're looking

for and it's not going to be

mistaken for one of their

Coraline.

You touched on like the feel of

the cigar.

It's definitely that real rough.

Still like that gritty

broadleaf?

Yeah, like, not sand, like

sandpaper, Yeah, that would be

the way for it.

But like, not like that rough

burn.

I gave this thing a nine broad

Leafs always are one of those

things that are a challenge to

stay lit for me.

And just because the nature of

the Leaf itself.

So I gave those a little bit of

a curve, especially because I

talk to goddamn much sometimes.

Construction.

Man, this thing I think flaked

on me once during the entire

show.

This thing was phenomenally

rolled.

Did he say what factory this was

out of?

I did not.

Didn't that?

Yeah, I didn't get that because

I meant to ask.

Forgot to.

I'm going to have to look that

up, but whoever rolled this

thing did an incredible,

incredible job.

Like the fact that they have

this type of tobacco laying

around that he can make this a

Coraline if he wanted to is

impressive.

Now I am looking forward to next

year's edition because that

smaller ring gauge speaks to me

but this was a phenomenally

constructed.

I think this size is fantastic

draw.

I punched this bad boy smoked

fantastic smoke output was

great.

I got this nice little perfect

little smoke trail going as you

guys can see right now and it is

phenomenal enjoyment.

I gave it a 9.5 and I really had

fun today.

This was a great conversation

with MO Like I always love when

we really get like, it sounds

weird to say, but the cigar talk

is kind of minimal.

But it also wasn't like we

talked about more so the cigar

industry as a whole.

So it was still relevant.

And then you just get that true

feel of you're talking about a

little everything.

You got Caleb with his

conspiracy nut stuff that MO was

right there with you with and

you know, sports, all that.

It's just it was a really

enjoyable conversation and MO is

a fantastic human and you know,

love that there is plenty of

people in this industry like

him.

That brought my overall score to

a 45.5, giving me a 91.

All right.

Well, this could have been any

easier.

We all gave it 91, so 91 across

the board, 91 overall easy.

And to answer your question,

Gio, it's rolled at Nicaragua

American cigars essay in esta

Lee Nicaragua.

I got to say, it's been a while

since we've all been on the same

page, giving it the exact same

score, different ways with how

we graded it, but we still made

it to that overall 91.

That's it's been a while since

we got the same score, but

usually me and you, sometimes

Jerry are on the same page but

we all got it this time.

That being said, any closing

notes to the episode buddy?

Show Notes

Mo Maali from Patina Cigars returns to The Herf. Since the last time we had Mo on he’s dropped a couple new sticks and we had the pleasure of enjoying their Patine Limited Edition 2024. As the conversation got going we touched on everything from sports to the federal reserve and even a little gym etiquette. This episode was a fun conversation that really highlighted the brotherhood of the leaf and brings insight to Patina’s growing brand.

Patrol Gone Wild this week brings us a stupid thief that had no idea what he had, a DWI stop that took all sorts of crazy turns, and a dispute of potato chips that turned violent.

Caleb’s back again with a big new release from our boys at Powstanie, a proposal in Massachusetts that no one is gunna like, and a spruced up whiskey infusion that is definitely not for everyone.
