148 Mike Too Takes a Road Trip!

148 Mike Too Takes a Road Trip!

Episode Summary

Episode 148 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast is built around Mike Palmer's Sunday cigar road trip across Tampa with Chet. He walks through every stop: MC Cigars in Valrico under new owners John Miller and Angel, the new Cigar International retail superstore tucked behind a Topgolf (which he found clean but "cold and corporate," and priced a couple bucks higher), Ybor City with its hand-rollers, chickens and Tequilas restaurant — where lunch with Charles and Jennifer Fix from the cigar club turned into an unexpected drag show — and finally Cigar Castle, where a dig through the legendary humidor turned up aged Chogüí cigars, including a full box. Mike Too pushes back on the itinerary-with-timers approach, and the two riff on why small shops feel warmer than big-box retail.

The rest of the first half is classic hosts-being-hosts: Mike Too's new CPAP machine and how three nights of real sleep has already cut down his night terrors, a Newsweek-style list of restaurant chains supposedly closing in 2021 (and a heated argument over whether Chipotle and Burger King are really going anywhere), and a bit about being the dad who signs the waiver and plays dodgeball at his kid's friend's birthday party. There's also a genuine plea to get Joe Rogan — now living in Austin — to stop smoking "bullshit" cigars and go visit the RoomaCraft office.

The news segment covers PDR Cigars replacing its sweetened Devil's Weed leaves with the unflavored Green Devil Pennsylvania broadleaf roll-your-own product; RoomaCraft shipping the 2020 Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion 1794 Tarred & Feathered 5x56 box press at $9.35 a stick, limited to 500 boxes a year, alongside the Intemperance BA XXI Revenge and EC Goodness box-pressed releases; John Miller succeeding Javier Estades as Cigar Association of America chairman; the second edition of Jorge Armenteros' Tobacconist Handbook; the Espinosa Warzone Short Churchill 6.5x48 shipping November 16 following the online Laranja-style Lozada Palooza event; and a second, larger 500-box production of the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust x Famous Smoke Shop 80th Anniversary. Cigar Coop takes Listener of the Week honors for actually reading to the end of the show's shout-outs.

The End. Welcome to episode 149, I think that's wrong over there, 149 of a Cigar Hustler Podcast. You blew it. You blew it.

The number one cigar show on Podbean still. In the world. In the world. One of the top cigar shows you should watch of 2020, including somebody on the internet.

Hey, did you see Coop did the nice little... Yes, yes, he gave us a little... Look at that, you attacked him and he's... I didn't attack him.

He appreciated us actually reading his stories. So, somebody actually reads it all the way to the end. Well, there's one of you. He said he did a retraction and it is now fixed.

He fixed it? So now all the other people... I did not check. I trusted him completely.

I hate him completely. Dave Burke said thank you very much for the shout out for the Listener of the Week last week. Oh, very nice. Dave Burke.

Should we go ahead and do this year, this week's Listener of the Week? No, you got to hang tight. You got to keep him in suspense. Oh.

Okay. It could be anybody. All right. Could be.

You never know. You never know. You never know who it's going to be with this show. Yeah.

We could put it together on a fly. Who knows? You know? Or we might have it written down already.

I don't have it written down. Do you? I know who it is. You know who it is.

I know, do you know who it is? Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am? Okay, so this weekend, I took a huge road trip.

You did? We went, uh... I know, you're guilty, you gave me shit about it, the whole... Well, you get mad if you don't get invited.

I appreciate the invite, I just want the invite so I can say... You can say no. I'm not going to be able to make it. You just like to tell us now.

But if you don't invite me, I'm like, what the fuck? I know, it's weird. You're so weird. I am weird.

Anyway, Chet and I went to Tampa. We went to MC Cigars in Valrico, new owners, John Miller and Angel, are you starting a forest fire over there? I like to, I like to really cook it. Apparently, there's smoke everywhere.

They bought MC not long ago, they have done some remodeling, it looks very nice. They were, they were very nice to us. You're just not even paying attention to the show. I'm listening.

You don't, you don't need my hands. They put out a nice little spread for us, and well, I feel like I should be talking to you. So you solely went for that? No.

We just made a full day of it. Ah. So what's... We put a thing...

Okay, we had a Sunday where we both were free. That's really what it boils down to. We had a Sunday where we both were free. My wife was out of town.

His wife said, "You never get to go have a guy day. " I mean, I just watched that movie, though. She doesn't have a problem with you guys being here so much. That was Halloween.

That was a joke. That was a month ago. It's just a movie, Michael. It's not real.

Do you think all the movies are real, Michael? Yes. Especially not the ones up here. Son of a bitch.

Except a hostile work environment, obviously. That's real. Real. That's real.

There's nothing they can do about it. Nothing we can do about that. No. But after that, we went to the new CI.

John's place is very lovely. Ooh, you went to the evil empire. Well, it's sort of like coming to Orlando and not going to Disney. I mean, now I never have to go again.

Oh, you got it out of the way. I just wanted to see one. You haven't seen one ever. No, no, no.

I've never been up north. Pennsylvania? A lot smaller than you think it would be. " Where is it?

Where's the rest of it? Well, it's in front of a Topgolf, so, I mean-- That's fucking brilliant. Yeah, but it's sort of-- Wait, can you smoke at Topgolf? I don't think so.

It might not be brilliant. " Nope. Nope. I would have worked that out prior to.

Smoking. Hey, I'm going to open up a cigar shop. Can we have smoking here? You've seen the Topgolf, the big netting thing?

Yeah. Okay, so that's right behind it. Huh. So when you pull up, you don't really see it.

Ah, yeah. It's like this monstrosity. Right. Really kind of eclipses it.

Right. It's not like, you know, the big smiley face is on the top of the building or something. Mm-hmm. That's inside the building, actually.

Mm-hmm. Three-quarters of it, it's this big open air with the side of the building opens up. Open concept. Bar.

Okay. There was one bar over on the far wall. I mean, it was nice and clean. Yeah.

It was very cold and corporate. Mm. Chet sending me messages. Oh.

He said, I'm busy. He went to a proven order that I left for him. Yeah. But then a big glass wall where the humanor was inside the wall.

Right. Plenty of people helping us. I mean, tried to help us. We didn't.

Didn't happen. Wasn't too impressed. And they were maybe a couple of bucks more. You know, you just, here's the thing.

You're just at such a high standard as far as the cigar world. That's what it is. That, you know, you have a specific expectation. And when you go into a place like that.

Smaller shops are more warm and intimate. Sometimes. " Well, because-- In my case, they say my name. Yeah, well, that's because you've done the research, you know where the good shops are.

Right. That's true. " Well, yeah, we've been there, too. Right.

You ready? But if I'm making a trip to Tampa, I'm not going to those places. Right. But, you know, I mean, Tampa's the cigar capital of the world, I'm sure there's a ton of retail places.

Well, then we went down to Ybor, which is the cigar capital, I guess. Oh, really? Yes. Chad had never been there before.

" He's like a kid. Oh, he was having such a great take of pictures. "There's chickens, Palmer! " It's amazing.

" Oh, sign me up. So we, uh, we met some people from the club there. Oh, we met your roommate. Oh, he's kidding.

Yeah, I saw that, Adam Pruitt. Adam Pruitt, we met him. We met him at the shop that he does a little bit of business with, I guess. Jack Carta Cuba or something.

I don't know. He's trying to work on his own mobile lounge. Yes. Yes.

The rendering is very lovely. Yes. Yes. I mean, I'm sure that COVID had something to do with it not slowing it down right now.

Yeah. But when it happened, we bought some lovely hand rolls at this particular shop and had a coffee and sat there. Oh, that sounds very, very ye-bor-y, but we had, we had lunch with, uh, with Charles and Jennifer Fix from the Cigar Club, we ate lunch with them at the Mexican restaurant a couple doors down. Tequilas, oh, it's called Tequilas.

Oh, I would love that place. Well, you could have went. Sounds amazing. How?

Oh, best, best part, okay, there's an inside and outside. Okay. The outside is really, from the outside, it looks like two buildings, but when you walk through the outside area, they gutted the building, so it's just the front, front facade, side walls, all open air. Nice.

So we sat outside, 'cause they said you could smoke outside. - Right. - Well, little did we know, about 20 minutes after we sat down, there was a drag show. - Oh!

Wow! - Oh, and my son Alex came over, too. Well, he lives nearby, so he met us there, too, for lunch. He had never seen a drag, not that I have seen my fair share of drag shows, but-- - Well, I mean, you know, Key West, you know, like they do-- - Yeah, I mean, I've seen-- - Fantasy, whatever the hell it's called, fantasy fantasy.

- Oh, you don't go with that going on, no. - Scary? - Very dangerous, very scary. - Very dangerous.

- Very dangerous, can be dangerous. But, I mean, there was a large black man who obviously was not a woman, He'd put on a lovely show and lip sync and costume changes and one very large man who, I'm pretty sure those boobs were fake, I'm not quite sure, you couldn't tell, but there was a thin gentleman or a woman, I don't know, I don't know what the vernacular would be, I don't know, I don't know if she's an entertainer or if they lived their life that way, you could not tell it was not a woman, let's just say a real woman or whatever. Huh, scary times. Dancing around, yeah, great.

I guess it's pretty dangerous where you're at. The way our table was sitting, Jennifer's husband Charles was at the end, so every dancer stopped and sang to him. Every single one. He was just approachable.

Well, he was at the edge. Some people have that way. Some people just have that look. They just like you, Charlie.

You're an approachable person? I mean, I don't understand how I'm an approachable person, but I've had people approach me sometimes. And I'm like, why are you approaching me? I think they approach you because you're not approachable, to make you uncomfortable.

Do you want to talk to you? That's just it. I'm not talking about drag. I'm talking about like, you know, just people in general.

Yes. Yeah. I'm like, I'm sorry, does it say talk to me somewhere? Do I have a note?

You have a sign. Big sign. I'm not. I'm Mr.

Friendly. Talk to me. I talk to people all day. This is like, I have a 20 minute segment here where I don't want to talk to anybody.

Why are you here? No, of course I would never do that. I'm always, you know, I always try and be accommodating and I talk to people. You gotta find the good in people.

I talk to you a lot, and you don't hear me, I feel. Because you're at a different level. You know what I mean? You're like, we're in a relationship.

It's almost like a spousal situation here at this point. " I mean, things just happen, nobody even notices I'm there. " Yeah, it's like talking to my wife. So maybe you're my work wife, or I'm your work wife, whatever.

Something like that. I mean, I would probably save it. Yeah, I could be the wife, that's fine. If that makes you feel better.

Did you just ash on the floor? Where's the ashtray? What do you want me to do? It's all the way over there.

I can't help it. I want this table to be nice and clean. I just have to vacuum now. I'd rather wipe the table than vacuum.

Just so you know. Why? Vacuum is over. Wiping, I just throw it on the floor and don't burp.

So what else happened? " It's almost like you were out, um, leave my candle, it's my birthday. It's almost like you were out, like, selling. Like, you had to go and hit specific accounts.

I don't sell, but... But like, you've done that in the past. Yes, yes, but it's, you know, it's Flor de Cigar Club people, I try to hit the shops where Flor de Cigar people are, and I tell them I'm coming, you know, people like to say hello. Come and kiss the ring of the great Mike Palmer, very powerful man, Flor de Cigar.

You know, I only have so much time, so I like to hit as many places as possible. Yeah, so you set the timer, you get in, you get out. But I knew Chet was going to be a little excited, so, you know, I would have, I told him I will tell you, I will tell you when we need to move, when it is time to move, we will get up. We will go.

So, we did the exact time at the first place, so I wanted to be out there by noon, we got there at 10, so we were 15 minutes early, so at 11:30 it was, okay, Chet, did you see anything in the humor that you wanted to buy, because we need to buy just a couple of things, you know, I always like to buy something. That's very nice. Right. It's very courteous.

So, at 11:30 I go, okay, come on, now we gotta go shopping, so let's go find what, you know, what we wanted to get, and we'll make a purchase. So, 12 o'clock, we're out the door, right on time, boom, get to CI, and we got a little lost, because we were having so much fun cutting up in the car and everything, we missed the exit, we just drove right back. When you two get together. Yep.

" I mean, at what point do you guys leave your wives for each other? Like, I feel like we're getting close to that. Like, "Hey, listen, you know what? " He gets me.

We're almost the same size. Yeah. We can wear the same clothes, yeah. It's, you know, it's just inevitable here.

So, anyway, moving on, we got to CI a little bit late, but we were only there 15 minutes. Did you feel obligated to buy at CI? Well, we saw some things we'd never seen before. Ah, so you did.

Yeah, so we, yeah. But you didn't feel obligated, but you still bought something anyways. Yeah, because, you know, there's things there that I may never see again or something. There was an Espinosa Snakebite.

It was a yellow 601. There was a Room 101 that I'd never seen before. Really? I got that.

Is it old school? It's probably old. It's probably older stuff. It probably is older stuff, yes.

They had those factory smokes that drew estate sales that nobody can get that my wife wanted to try. It was a bundle for like $30 or something, so I bought those for her. How'd that go? She hasn't hanged.

She's out of town. She comes back today. Oh yeah, that's right. I'm sure she'll have one this evening.

Yeah, we gotta go. I'm gonna hurry up. Anyway, but I allotted two hours for that place too, you know. So you gave your, I mean, healthy windows.

Two hour windows. Yeah, two hour windows. Well, I don't want to be rude when I'm at somebody's shop. Yeah.

So anyway, but that meant we got down to Ybor an hour early because I figured that was going to be the bulk of our day because you had a buffer. Yeah. And we were going to have smart. We were going to have lunch.

We were meeting my son. We were meeting the Jennifer and Charlie there. And then Andrew. It was a good move.

Right. So, but that actually ran long. Yeah. I wanted to be out of there by four.

So you were ahead of schedule, but then you're then boom. Yeah. One visit behind schedule. Behind schedule.

So it gets towards the end. I look at my watch. Oh, it's 4:30. We're 30 minutes late.

So it's time to go. I hate to be rude, but we need to move. It's time to go. It's time to go.

We got to get moving. We got to pick up. Everybody pay. So I had already paid because I know I'm watching things.

Yeah. So 15, 20 minutes for everybody to pay and come out. Then we saying goodbyes, hug, hug, kiss, kiss. You know, everybody high five.

Right. Then back to the car. Then we got lost again. Oh.

Same problem. Same giggling problem. Same giggling, driving around. driving around.

You're so funny. No, you stop. No, you stop. No, you're the vet.

No, you're the vet. No, the Cookie Monster vet was amazing. I still haven't had one. Yeah, we're going to have one later.

Yes, I know. Patreon. Patreon. So then we pull up at Cigar Castle.

At tools. Yes, at almost five. At five, I want to be back on the road. I want to be at it.

Doesn't work that way in the cigar industry. No. If you roll with Roma Craft, you can forget it. Oh, there's no schedule with that.

Yeah, it's a tornado. Yeah. It's a tornado of life. Nope.

Nope. They don't know what's going on. So you definitely don't know what's going on. I dropped off the samples for a tool because he was not there.

Right. But there was people there that I knew. So, shake hands, shake hands. Cigars?

Oh, Pete was just here. Oh, yeah, Pete. Oh, Pete Hernandez? Yeah, he did an event the day before.

You know, I can still do buy two, get one on Dunbart and Tobacco like three times, four times, whatever it was. So then I take-- Oh, like honoring the event is what you're saying. Yeah, honor the event. Hey, I can still honor the event from Friday night.

Yeah, still got some leftovers, you know. Right. Well, Saturday night actually was the day right before, I believe. Right.

So, I take Chet into a tools humidor. Now, have you been to a tools humidor? I've heard stories. Oh, yes.

If there is a cigar that has ever been made... He has it. He has it. Yeah.

He has it. So, Chet's just... He's taking it all in. Oh, yeah.

" I mean, he's walking around, he's picking this up. I need this one. I need this one. I mean, ooh, I need three of this one.

I mean, he's got his hands full. So I ask, I asked the manager that, I'm sorry, I forgot his name. I can't remember his name. I'm terrible with names.

But I go. Richard. You know, that might actually be correct. Mm-hmm.

But anyway, I go, I totally used to have Choguis here. Does he maybe, by chance, still have those? They used to be right over here on the top. Right.

And he goes, Chogui, Chogui. I go, hmm, I don't know. At that point, Chet goes, here they are! They had boxes.

Mm-hmm. I bought a box. We should get all of them. Well, you know, I almost called you, and I was gonna tell you, look, they got three boxes, do you want them?

We should get all of them. Well, you can run back over and pick up the other two. How about we credit them back, and then I sell them fables? Oh.

Boom. Oh, there you go. Tell them you'll take those back. Fear the bird.

Oh. So anyway, Jett and I both bought a single, and then I bought the box. I don't know when or if I'm gonna open that box any time. Why not?

Because I'm never gonna be able to find those. God damn it, dude, just smoke them. Well, I thought maybe, maybe I'll do like on my birthday every year, or anniversary. I know a cigar tastes close to it.

What? I can't tell you right now, because I don't possess them yet. But when I possess them, I will let you know exactly what they are. Can you tell me when we take a break?

Maybe. Okay. So anyway, so I had the one. Oh, it was delicious.

I mean, it, it, it, it, it aged very nicely, probably, because I don't think if I touched it in the least two years that I've been there. I could tell you when that order went out. That order probably went out. Oh, I'm sure.

Four years ago. Right. So, you know, those cigars are... Yeah.

Cherry. Yeah. It was delicious. Just don't know what you got, sometimes.

Yeah. Don't know what you got. Yeah, I mean, I grabbed up all the singles that are in a box. It was like five.

Right. " And, you know, he folds the lid down. I thought Chet found them. Chet found the singles.

Oh. But the way they do it there, they put the boxes behind the stuff. Ah. Gotcha.

Oh, they do this neat little thing. I think it was there. No, that was at MC. If the box is empty, they turn it upside-down.

Oh, that's interesting. So you don't lose the shelf space, and then usually there's a nice label or some kind of decoration on the bottom of the box. Ah. It just gives it, you know, instead of that hole.

Hmm. There. Okay. That's cool.

Yeah. Why don't we put up a sign? Why don't we put up employee faces and, like, little stick figures? Have you thought about doing that, you know, a Palmer Choice of the Week?

No, no, I'm talking about when the cigar's out of stock. It's like... Oh, a face. He's on the face of you going...

We don't have it. Oh, God, sorry, hold out. I don't know. There's one not here.

So then, I wanted to be home by like six, we didn't have almost eight. Yeah, that sounds about right. So, my poor dogs were sitting there with their leg crossed. I gotta go, I gotta go.

No accidents? No accidents, nope. The little one runs free, the big one's in a crate. Yeah.

But nope, but he went out and he's just peeing, peeing. I'm looking at my watch, but he's still peeing. He just had all the piss. He's just looking at me.

Oh, I really had to go. I was like, wow. My bladder is broke. I know, my kidneys are shutting down.

Yep, nope, no problems. Pet the dogs and everything, run around with them, played a little bit, and then we were up to bed. That was it. That was it, it was a full day, it was a good day.

That's nice. We had a good time. Sounds like you had a good time. We did, we did.

We had a very good time. Mike, you're asking Chet, are you having fun? He goes, oh, this is so amazing. It's so much fun.

I love you. I love you. " Oh, we start every day that way. Hey!

Hey, good morning! " "Good morning, sweetheart, I love you. " Pretty amazing. I'm getting a lot of text messages over there.

That's my life. Chet is relentless. Hey, I also have a list here of all the restaurants that are going to close in 2021. Yeah?

We can use that for like the news part, right? No, no, this is just random stuff. Go ahead. Do it.

Well, it was a long list. It would be easier to tell you what's still going to be open in 2021. Yeah? Yeah.

Is there anyone that really kind of – oh, I see. That's what's going to be left. I feel like there's going to be more than that. Which one on the list of elimination are you really surprised about?

How about we just do that? I was – well, the only ones I wasn't surprised. Let's do that. I wasn't surprised.

Applebee's. Applebee's gone. Oh, Steak and Shake is closing. Applebee's gone.

Spencer Drake is going to have some problems. I don't know where he's going to get his bumless wings. Wow. What else?

I don't know. Steak and Shake. I was surprised Steak and Shake. Steak and Shake's going.

Yeah, they're going by-by. They're out of here. They're going by-by. Hooters are going by-by.

Buffalo Wild Wings. Hooters has been on its last leg for a long time. Yeah, they've been going for a while there. They're struggling.

They need a new model or business model or something. Welcome to Hooters. Right. Oh, shit.

The women are getting a little old. A little long in the tube. Welcome to Saggy's. Welcome to Saggy's.

But that's not nice. McDonald's, Waffle House, and Chili's they go to, apparently. They were like the only three big ones that were on the list. Yeah, they're crushing it.

Chipotle's closing. Nuh-uh. Yep, they're on the list. Chipotle's is closing.

This is bullshit. Burger King. Nope. Burger King's been dying for years, too.

Now I know you're full of shit. No, those are on the list, I'm serious. Dude, those companies aren't going away. Yes.

Chipotle's not going away. Rising Cost of Food. Stop. I don't know, where have you been getting the news lately?

That was a Newsweek article. A legit news source. That is bullshit. Why?

Because you like Chipotle? No, I just know that Chipotle's not going anywhere. Oh, they had problems this year. They have problems every year.

They're poisoning people. Look at the stock, it's like $700 a fucking share. Maybe that's the problem, all the execs are taking all the money. If that was the case, then they wouldn't have any value.

God damn it, was this a stock lesson though? Now, let me look up Chipotle for you, just so you know what the value is. What the value is. I'm just telling you what's going out of business.

I'll tell you exactly what they say. " Chipotle. 15. It's up half a percent on the day.

Hey, look, it's closing. What do you want me to do? They're not closing. They're closing.

Look at this. November 12, 2020. Six food stocks to buy into 2021. Get the fuck out of here.

Chipotle's not one of them. Yeah, it is actually. There's no restaurant. There's no problem with restaurant.

Stop, you know, this is the problem with media today. Restaurants. Just getting ahead of yourselves, making these comments. It was a legit article.

I saw it. It's obviously not legit because that's complete horse shit. Burger King's not going away. The Whopper?

Fuck out of here. It's not going away. You ever been to a Burger King? There's nobody there anymore.

Onion rings, dude. They're amazing onion rings. You know, you always think that until you go and get them. And you're like, what have these been sitting in there for the last 12 days?

Dude, Burger King's not going anywhere. You're out of your head. You've lost it. No I haven't.

It's official. You've lost your marbles. It might be, oh, this is 20. Oh, coronavirus is closing Chuck E.

Cheese according to this headline. Well, that would make sense to me because, have you been to Chuck E. Cheese lately? It smells like a fucking sock.

My youngest son is 20, I don't go to Chuck E. Cheese. The fucking, you know, the animation mouse stuff is well past its date. It's barely much.

Yeah, it's like. The food's terrible. I mean, like, there's no. Ketchup on cardboard.

Like, you know, Chuck E. Cheese was doomed before. I don't know how they're still here. When they switch from arcades to those stupid tickets.

I think that was the downfall of Chuck E. Cheese. That was the beginning of the end, eh? That was the beginning of the end.

You know, and I always, my kids always hit me with, you never take me to Chuck E. Cheese. I'm like, that's because I love you. Have you climbed through those tubes?

Nasty. Nasty. Nasty. I used to climb through the tubes with my youngest.

Oh, yeah? Ooh, I went to a birthday party this Saturday. Ooh! Cigar guy?

Kid's birthday party? It was a kid's birthday party. Did you take cigars? Nope.

I like when you go and take cigars. So there's this cool place called Planet Obstacle here, and it's got like Ninja Warrior things. It's got like trampolines. Is that the mall?

No, no. Oh. It's one of those in the mall. Well, it was.

I think it closed. Really? Well, so, no, this is like in a warehouse area. Oh.

Yeah. So I, you know, I go in. Perfect for small children. You signed him up, or was it a party?

Well, like, you know, he had to do the waiver, he's got to get the bands and stuff for the party. Oh, oh, oh, the waiver. If it hurts your child. If he dies, it's not on us.

It never happened. We shoo him out the back door. It's like, okay, we'll take that risk. These trampolines look like they're worth it.

So we went. They're just asking, broken leg. There's a bold print, no breaking of bones is responsible for us. So we signed him up, or I signed him up, and he goes and he's running around.

And I'm kind of following along. Nope. Just the oldest. Just the oldest.

I didn't know there was an age cutoff. Well, the little guy could have gone. Oh. It was a birthday party.

Oh, for his friend. Yeah. Like, that's always one of the weird things. Yeah, do you bring the little one in?

Like, do we bring him? Right, yeah. They let them have their own lives, Michael. Yeah, so.

Their own friends. You don't want to be that guy. Right. You know what I mean?

Plus, your little one's gonna hurt people. Probably. Where is he? Where is he?

He comes jumping out of the ceiling. Yeah! I think he's causing back pain for me, to be honest, because he jumps on me all the time. " So, my son, he's running around and stuff, and he's hanging out with his friends or whatever, and they're having a good time, jumping on trampolines, shooting basketballs, and then they're like, you know, whatever.

I'm like, "You know what? " So, I go back, and I sign up for the day, I sign the waiver, and I sign the waiver. Sir, we have an extra page, actually, for you to follow up there. Take this one with you.

You're a large man, very muscular, we need you to sign this extra page, please. " Walking in like Bo Jackson, ready to dominate. You're whipping the ball with children. Dude, dude, I was pelting kids, it was amazing.

You got a lot of anger out. Well, here's the thing, like I know... You're like, "You know what, Tommy? " Guess what?

Guess what? So I know a lot of those kids. Oh, I hit my face. Sorry.

Okay, okay. All right, listen. Just shut the fuck up for one second. I know all those kids.

Look, look, look, look. Hey, Steve, remember that time at the ball game where you said hit the kid? Yeah, watch this, hit the kid. You done?

So I know these children. I know these children, or at least the majority of them, right? So when you visit them in the hospital now, you'll- Yeah, so I visited them a few times after I teed off on them. So it was, like, you know, it was fun to play and, like, throw the ball around, and, you know, there were some kids that you could go.

Were there other dads? Yeah, but they weren't partaking. Come on, man. You're that guy, you're that guy.

I could tell you this, and I'll tell you why I do this, because my phone's driving me fucking nuts. Can you turn it off so it doesn't make noise or something? I don't know why, it's vibrating, it's never done this before. Is that the one that I unplugged?

I needed my notes. I'll open it up later. I'll put it on the ground. It's totally out.

In the ash. All my ash area. Yes, anyway. Look, for me, it's important to be that dad, because when I die, because I'm going to die one day, right?

Probably from all the steroids and things. Yeah, maybe from the steroids. The shot in the peepee. Yeah, the shot in the peepee.

I want him to say, you know what, man, that fucking guy played with me all the time. You know, he was a good dad. My son was younger, I was always the only dad at the field trips. Yeah.

Because of my career, as you can see, with tremendous amounts of free time as I work here, I was the only dad at the field trips. All the moms are like, is Connor's dad coming? I don't give a shit if the parents are going to judge me because I'm out here playing with everybody. I'm like, I don't fucking care.

I want to make sure that my kid's like, he doesn't even realize that shit now. No, no. He will when he's older. " Both my kids call me all the time.

You know, yeah. Even Jake, now he's got his own place, he'll call me and go, "Dad, my window's leaking. " Technical help. " You know, stuff like that.

" Well, he's got a stepfather down there, so, I mean, I'm just happy I get the phone call. Yeah, that's not, 'cause you were a good dad, 'cause you put in the work, right? Yeah. I wanna be that dad as well, so that's important to me.

So, I'm gonna fuckin' spend the 30 bucks, I'm gonna get the goddamn rubbery socks, and I'm pelting kids! Oh, did you get to keep the socks? Oh, I took the socks with me. I don't think that you get to return, I'd like to return these, I don't think it works.

It's probably not a deposit, you probably paid for it. I did also get my CPAP machine. Oh! Could you bring it in?

I don't know if I wanna bring it in. Can Brittany take pictures of you sleeping? I have a picture of it. No, that's not gonna happen.

You're not getting a photo of me. I got the little pillow one, so it's right along the nose here. Right. Did you do the spinny hook on the...

Not yet. So do you have to screw it into the... What? Screw it?

You said Sam told you about putting the hook with the swivel. Yeah, you put a hook up top so they can sit up there. But you screw it into the bed? I don't think so.

No. Well, you can screw the hook in. Okay, now wait. I'm painting a picture here, Matt.

Okay, go ahead. Did it just sit on your nose, or is it hooked in somehow around your ears? Yeah, so it goes up here, it's like a like, and it sits up top, like the hose is up top. Oh, the hose is up top?

Yeah. Oh, I wanted to make a moment. The hose sits up top, and now you're going to hook that to the headboard somewhere. Well, yeah, somewhere, yeah.

Or you just, no, you don't hook it to the headboard, but you like give it, you can put it up top so that it's kind of always floating into the machine. Okay, how much, how much slack does this thing have? It's got some slack. How much are we talking?

Two feet? I think it's like a 20-foot cable or something. Oh, 20 feet. Maybe it's 12.

I don't know. It's pretty... It's pretty long. It's got some...

Long enough for you to wrap yourself up in it if you... And like choke myself out? Well, I was thinking more... It doesn't matter.

It's giving me air. I was thinking... I was picturing a night tremor or whatever it is you used to have. Dude, I'm gonna tell you this...

Like... When you jump up the bed... Yeah, so this is day three of me using this. Yes.

And I can tell you that I have deeper dreams. Like, I know the dream... So I'm not moving as much. Oh, well, Britney, I assume, could tell you that.

Because I'm not fucking losing my, you know, like, so that's obviously linked into the night terrors, right, when you can't fucking breathe. Oh, I don't know, I don't know what your night terrors is. I mean, that would make the most sense to me. I guess.

And I honestly, I think that for one, that's this whole thing that I'm dealing with is fucking hereditary, 'cause my dad would always... Oh, I'm sure your dad had to sleep in. So he would sleep in a Lazy Boy. Yeah.

And then he would put a fan, like, really close to him, just pushing on his face, 'cause he obviously felt... He obviously felt you know I have a fan next to the bed so he because he always felt like he needed better with my face pointing to the fan because he felt like he needed air that makes a lot of sense yeah so I'm pretty sure that that's what killed him but well a combination of yeah yeah you know if you're not sleeping if you're not getting oxygen tonight you know right well yeah recording has been automatically oh we're 30 minutes 30 minutes and seven seconds take a break wow all right uh we're gonna take a break we'll be right back bye. Hey, it's Mike, too. Want to be part of the show?

Oh yeah, it's a killer. Yeah. It's pretty cool. I highly recommend it.

It's like day three for me, but, you know, I look very attractive with it on. I'm sure my wife must love it. It doesn't make noise? No, it's very quiet.

Now, if I open my mouth, it makes noise. Because it's forcing air into my nostrils. So if you open that chamber... How do you keep it shut on purpose?

Well, when you fall asleep, you just keep your mouth closed. Well, when you're asleep, you don't get to control that. But if you have that issue, then you can put a strap on or some shit like that to keep your mouth. I don't have to do that.

Or you can get a thing that covers your nose and your mouth. Seems like now you're getting a really complicated thing here. Yeah, I don't want to die. So no matter how complicated it is, I'm in.

I don't want to die. Does that make sense? Yeah, I guess. So, yeah.

Okay, let's see how long this thing lasts. It's for the rest of my life. That's what we said about cold plunging. The fucking RTV's closed.

What do you want me to do? You stopped that before the R2-D2. I know, but I moved to heat. Are you still hotboxing?

I am still hotboxing. Do you hotbox with the oxygen? No, but, you know what, I'm going to give that a shot. , you're going to be walking around with the little...

With R2-D2? R2-D2 behind you with the gas in there. You know what, this works so well at night, I'm taking it everywhere I go now. Oh, do you sound like Darth Vader when you open your mouth at night?

Yeah, like that. If you did that, that'd be cool. Didn't finish my text message. That doesn't happen.

That doesn't happen. What are you doing now? I have to text somebody when I'm thinking about it. Just go on.

Go on with the show. Are you texting my wife? No. Hey, gonna need that CPAP picture.

I got a video of Bob and his CPAP. Wow. So, anyways. Wow.

Oh, man, it's crap. So, yeah, Mike, I mean, for fuck's sake, put the phone down. Okay, show content all for the show, Michael, all for the show, okay, should we, uh, get on with the news? Uh, the other only thing that I wanted to, I wanted to, well, that was all that really happened, but, you know, um, I mean, it was a pain in the ass to get the fucking machine, but that's neither here nor there.

Well, that's because of the way you went about it, I would imagine. Yeah, I don't need to go to an additional doctor, like, my doctor diagnosed me, I don't want to go see an additional doctor to tell me that, you know, I need it, like, that's what's wrong with fucking healthcare. Right, yeah, yeah. So I said, send the script to this person and give me my fucking machine, and then I finally got my machine.

Oh, well there you go. Make a long story short. The only other thing that I want to add that's totally not about my life, but which really kind of frustrates me is the fact that Joe Rogan now lives in Austin, Texas. Yes.

And he's a cigar guy. Are you good? Are you down over there? Your wife said she can't settle unless you say it's okay.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, she's got my back. Fuck you. So, Joe Rogan lives in Austin, Texas.

He moved from California. And he's a cigar guy. Now, I've seen him smoke some bullshit on his podcast. Right.

Romeo and Juliet with, like, tater salad. He's not at Roma Craft. How has he not gone to Roma Craft? I don't know.

How do you not just check in? Maybe he doesn't know they're there. How do you not know? Because he's smoking other brands.

What kind of man? Maybe he's not a – I don't know why in the world he would not be. Okay, so how do we get in touch with them? Maybe he's not a Roma man.

How do we figure this out? We've got to help Joe Rogan. We've got to help Joe find them? Yeah, Joe needs our help.

He's smoking bullshit. He's on Twitter. I'm concerned. He's on Twitter.

I'm concerned with some of his cigar choices. He's on Facebook, I would imagine. He's got a producer of a show. Yeah, what's that guy's name?

Jimmy or something? We need a guy like that. He just looks shit up all the time. Hey, look that up.

Put that up for us. That's amazing. We have a third person. Yeah, look that up.

And then like, there it is. We just need somebody to look it up and help me pronounce big. I'm doing my best here, Mike. So anyways, I just wanted to end with that.

I mean, fuck, dude, come on, Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan, let's go. To get ahold of Joe Rogan. But if he goes, I want to be there.

13th planet. We jump on a plane. So we have to coordinate this whole thing. " I feel like he's got a tight schedule.

" But then you're missing out on the whole atmosphere of the office. Like, yeah, the office is amazing. Yes, I've, I've heard. He's gotta go.

I've not yet been. Joe Rogan's gotta go. That's all I'm saying. Hmm.

Okay. So make that happen. Write that down. Yeah, my free time.

All right, um, oh, I cut off, oh, here we are. PDR Cigars was releasing, oh, wait. Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do, this is just it! Thank you.

I was concerned. I didn't know what you were talking about. Now that I know it's the news, I feel much better. It's the news.

All right, and on with the news. PDR Cigars are releasing Devil's Weed, Green, what? Cigars are releasing Devil's Weed, Green Devil. Devil Weed, Green Devil.

PDR Cigars announced a change to its Devil's Weed lineup, replacing the existing sweetened tobacco leaf version with a natural, unflavored version called Green Devil. Green Devil. Green Devil. Devil's Weed is debuted.

Debuted? Debuted. Debuted. Debutted.

With two. Debutted. A risotto leaf known as a red and an obscure leaf known as a dark, which were targeted to people who like to roll their own tobacco products. Oh.

Is there people that roll their own tobacco products? Yeah. Both of those have been discontinued and replaced by this new unsweetened line The tobacco is Pennsylvania Broadleaf and has been pre-cut while remaining natural and unflavored. How did this make your news?

Like its predecessors, Green Devil. Well, you know, with the name, I thought it was a marijuana-infused cigar. You know, I don't read these stories beforehand. I go by the headlines.

Ooh, Devil's Weed. I'm in. Devil's Weed. Oh, it's a pot cigar.

Let's talk about that while DDR is making one of those. If you're interested, Devil's Weed. Allegedly. For fuck's sake, Mike.

Allegedly. Allegedly, we're going to talk about it? They're allegedly making pot cigars? Are you allegedly making about cigars?

I thought they were. Evidently, they're not. Evidently, they're not. Yes.

So, it's not allegedly they are. It's evidently they're not. Right. 59, shipping is scheduled to begin by the end.

I didn't know PDR made this kind of stuff. Me neither. Hmm. Interesting.

Interesting. You know what? I had two customers last week asked for this kind of product. Do you have PDR's leaves?

No, they wanted a cigar where they could hand-roll their own cigar. They could hand roll their own cigars. Tobacco leaves, I guess it would be what they were asking for. Apparently, it's a thing.

It exists. And PDR is the mecca. This is the biggest story for the week. I reached out to the company for a quote that we could use.

They're very busy. One might say super busy. And you would think with the level of involvement that he has as far as heckling you for releasing the Patreon to him and giving him the content. You would think, yes.

He would be able to help provide some content. It's a social media empire now. Right. I mean, you are the weasel group.

I'm the king weasel. Weasel. Weasel. Weasel.

Weasel. Manager? Maybe not king weasel. I mean, you know, you have many hats.

I'm the manager of all the weasels. You think you say, "Hey, I need a quote. " You know what? That's what I said.

" Would love to hear from you, Skip. Could I get a quote maybe I could use for the story and everything? I mean, everything I put up, he likes and comments on. Guy won't even FaceTime me.

I got him to FaceTime me. He doesn't FaceTime me. I got him to FaceTime me once. You gotta use your wife's phone.

No, I use my phone, we FaceTimed, but here's how this played out. I got to view the TV screen, so I was facing that way. Oh. Yeah.

Oh, well, did you see the picture of Fiorella playing Call of Duty? Yes. Yeah, I said #FiorellaKillsWhoSheWants. The Kenya Disaster.

Yeah. A little disaster. He didn't like it. I got a frowny face.

FiorellaKillsWhoSheWants? Right. Frowny face. It was a complete reference to Call of Duty.

Yeah, I'm sad. I couldn't think of that word you always say. Noobs? Pwnin' noobs?

Yeah. Oh, yeah, I couldn't think of it. Fiorella pwns. Fiorella pwns who she wants.

Yeah, that just sounded wrong. Yeah, it does sound wrong. It just sounds wrong. I agree.

Fiorella. I like the kills. Yeah, that's fine. Pounds noobs.

Jesus Christ. That didn't sound good either. So I go with Fiorella kills who she wants. Oh, my God.

She sits where she wants. She swims where she wants. She walks where she wants. Oh, God.

I just was going with the theme. Maybe that's why I couldn't get the quote. You're out of your head. Intemperance - oh, my wife's on the plane.

If anybody's interested, my wife is on the plane now. Okay, you're gonna lose your phone, I'm gonna take it away. Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion, 1794, Tard and Feathered Ships, the newest size of the Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion, 1794, line is off to stores. Roma Craft Tobacco has begun shipping the 2020 release of the Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion, 1794, Tard and Feathered at 5'56, Box Press, Robusto, Gordo, Vitola.

The Lion already has a 5 of 56 size and a round shape called the Bradford. Right. 35 per cigar, and it's sold in boxes of 12. While the cigar is not a limited edition production, it is limited to just 500 boxes per year.

I have two right here for us to try. No, you don't. Wouldn't that be great, though, if I didn't? Don't.

That would be great. I don't have access either. Nope. Tempris Whiskey Rebellion, 1794.

They're on their way. They'll be here on the next day or two. Well, so is everybody else's, though. The nice we had them.

You're such a complainer. And Tempris Whiskey Rebellion 1794 uses an Ecuadorian Habano Lajero wrapper over in Indonesia. Did you ask? I couldn't even get a quote.

Did you ask? No. All he had to say was, "Hey, can I get some? " You went to the wrong person.

You've got to go to the source. Skip does all the press release stuff. No, you've got to go, I'm talking about if you want the cigars. Oh, I should have went to, yeah, I see what you're saying now.

Do you? Yep. Yep. Who am I saying?

Lightweight, heavy. That's right. I know. You go right to the guy that's handling the whole thing.

Hey, man. Did you send us a day early, man? Hey, can you hook us up with a couple so we can smoke? Boom.

I'll send you some war bears. He's got to get a – we need to send him a box. Of war bears? Yeah.

Just for Sean. And Tamara's Whiskey Rebellion 1784 uses an Ecuadorian Habano Lajero wrapper over an Indonesian basuki binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic of Nicaragua. Oh. A new hurricane in the garage with a new said they were evacuating or something dude I don't have category four yeah it's not good world country it's not good that's gonna wipe them all out it's not good the good news is that you know like the terrain in the mountains will help like as soon as it yeah it starts to land quickly yeah you know but damn man it's gonna be tough it's gonna be rough the line was introduced to 2016 as an exclusive or famous smoke shop before becoming a national brand last year.

It's the Whiskey Rebellion. Famous smoke. So the BA, the Intemperance BA has the Revenge, right? Yes.

And the Intemperance EC line has the Goodness. Yes. And if you've had either one of those box presses, they're fucking delicious. So this one's gonna be, I got a feeling this one's gonna be a banger.

So I'm really excited that it's coming out. I haven't had it yet. Obviously, yeah, we just... Nobody sends me samples.

Nobody. That's cool. Nobody does. In addition, the company has also shipped some of its other limited 5x56 Bosque breast offerings at 2020.

But if I asked, I'm sure I could have got them. At Temperance, do we have the 2020 show of a Temperance BAXXI and Revenge, and Temperance EC. Goodness. Goodness is also off to stores.

Okay, cool article. I just said that stuff to you. I know. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, we Facebooked our trip.

You know, we did little videos at the end of each one, where we're going next and the thing. When we did the ones for CI, my good friend Abe, he commented that we went the wrong direction, we should have come down to him, and that he said the welcome ad is out, Chet and I are welcome there any time. Ooh, maybe I'll go there tomorrow. Oh, I hate you.

I gotta go to Weston. I hate you. Maybe I'll go see Abe. I'm gonna go see Abe and just take a picture with him, just because, fuck you Palmer.

I'm calling in sick. No, you're not. Can you work tomorrow night for me, please? Double back.

I wonder when he's gonna be there. Oh, man. He's always there. I'll just call him.

You know why he's always there? He's the best. He is the best. He's the best.

He's the best. Love, Abe. John Miller succeeds. I can't say anything bad about Abe.

Abe's a good dude. He's nothing to say. No, he's a great guy. He's a great guy.

I mean, Ronnie sent his kids sneakers. Oh, is that who sent them? Yeah. Oh, I didn't see the name.

Yeah, Ronnie sent them sneakers. That was a great picture. I can't get Ronnie to fucking take a whole order from me. You know, let alone send my kids at that.

His son looked like such the dude sitting there in his shoes. That was a good, great pick. Such a badass. Yeah.

That was great. John Miller secedes Javier Estadas as the Cigar Association of America Chairman. Oh, I read that wrong. That's not what I thought it was.

Cigar Association of America Chairman. What is Cigar Association of America? CAA? Yeah.

I don't know. Well, anyway, he's- There's CAA, there's CRA, there's the XYZ. It was the XYZ. I thought it was CRA when I read it real quick.

It's a totally different company. It's CRA. No, it's CAA of America. One of the main cigar lobbying groups.

It's the PCA. Whose day job is CEO of Tabla Calera USA. Yeah. How about that?

That's exciting. I'll skip this through. I don't know what this is. Glad that happened.

All right. This is very important. What are you looking at? We're at 45 minutes.

Updated version of? Updated version of the Tobacanist Handbook. Oh! Is there a Tobacanist Handbook?

I didn't even know it was the handbook. It exists. I know there's a class you can take. Tobacco University?

Yes. Is that still around? I don't know. I don't know if that's still around.

It might be. The second edition of the Tobacadist Handbook. Oh, second edition. There's two of them.

From Jorge Armentos, the founder of Tobacadist University. Oh, it's officially been released. So apparently it's still there. Second edition is a hardcover.

It checks in at 264 pages and features a number of updates from the original version. What do you think they updated from the original version? I don't know. What if they discovered about tobacco that Saka did not already tell everybody?

What if they disclosed that half of it was BS? Like the cigar industry. It's like, you know what, we based it on information that we got from the cigar industry and apparently it's fucking accurate. The book is probably entirely in Spanish.

That'd be amazing. No English version, sorry. I would prefer it to be in Spanish and in Braille. Ooh, Braille.

Yeah, really mix it up. The book is billed as a way for lovers of luxury tobacco. Oh, it's an excuse. Lovers.

To enhance both their knowledge and appreciated cigars, pipe tobacco, and beyond. The book includes sections on learning the different types of tobacco, cutting, and lighting a cigar. Oh, I can teach you how to cut and light a cigar. If you go back and watch the early episodes of our show, I think we discussed how do you cut your cigar, Michael?

With scissors. Any fucking way you want is how I think you want your cigar. Oh, that's right, that's right. Take it from me.

I thought you were asking how I'd do it. Fucking cut the cigar. Yeah, just do it. It's your cigar.

Setting up a humidor and other essential information. That's a good point. While news sections address vapes. Oh, that's why the second edition.

Oh yeah, they're on, they're tirading in with the vapes. And more with commentary and, ooh, analysis. And now they've even divided the vapes from like your standard vapes to the new and improved disposable vapes. " Right.

I went, uh, no. Right, no chubby poofoo. Is that a vape? " No, we don't have that, sorry.

99 for the e-book version, is published by Skyshore Publishing. Can I get it on eBay? That's where I get my books. Yeah, it just came out.

Oh. Can we get a couple of weeks. Yeah. At least a couple of weeks.

We can get a bootleg e-book. Ooh, that's, I mean, that just sounds so wrong. We're going to steal the e-book from somebody. One person buys it, and then we all chip in it.

14 people chip in a dollar. Warzone. Don't do that, people. Warzone!

Don't do that, people. No, allegedly, that's a bad idea. No, it's not allegedly. It is a bad idea.

Oh. Allegedly, we recommended you do it. Don't do it. Don't do it.

Bad idea. Bad idea. Yeah. Oh.

I keep thinking of things that happen. Just about every place we stopped, somebody wanted to comment on episode 145. It was a good episode. With some rumor they had also heard.

Everybody likes to pile on. I'm not going to discuss any of the rumors, because they are just rumors, but it was still, it was just funny, go, "You know what I heard? " Oh, that was nice. " Interesting.

Everybody has a story. It's so weird. Everybody wants to be a gangster, too. You gotta do some gangster shit.

That was a Tony Soprano meme I saw back in the day. Hustler Mafia. I recognize the line. Yeah.

Warzone, Short Churchill, shipping to The store is on November 16th. Yay! That's today. Oh, that's going on.

That must be why he was down at... I saw a picture of Justin Andrews. And he himself was looking rather gangster with his hat and everything. Oh, I didn't see him in the hat.

I saw him eating dinner with the Taranios. Yeah? I saw him with Eric. Yeah, I saw that picture too.

So you did see it? I didn't notice a hat. Oh. I was more concerned with what Eric was wearing, I guess.

Oh. Concerned about Eric's attire. Okay, check. He's my friend.

He's your friend. Man, I'm really excited I'm going to go see Abe tomorrow. I can't wait. There's now a ship date for the newest size of the war zone line and it's November 16th.

The cigar will head to retailers on Monday following Espinosa's Lozada Palooza event. I heard that happened, I'm not really sure about it though. Where it's being released to attendees due to the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic, the event has gone online instead of being held at the company's headquarters in Hialeah, Florida. As such, the company shipped the cigars to ticket holders with consumers who purchased the event's packages receiving the cigars earlier this week.

I did hear it went very well. It was well received, the amount was. As for the cigars, it's six and a half-- It looks like they started using the equipment, too, like all that equipment that they had. Yeah, I saw somebody had like the giant instruction sheet out how to hook it all together.

Really kind of disappointing. I was really hoping that they would never get to it and say, hey. Do you guys like to buy this for 50 cents on the dollar, 25 cents on the dollar? Just hook us up with the-- yeah.

As for the cigars, it's a six and a half by 48, box press, short, Churchill Batola-- I'm praying that it doesn't work out, Jack. They kind of get bored with the show eventually. You gotta figure it out. You got to fix it.

Do you want to do it? Yeah, Hector's like, oh, it's time again. I don't want to. Oh, that's what he sounds like?

Yes. Wow. Jesus. And Jack's just going, I lost Zoom.

I don't have Zoom anymore. My goodness. My MySpace page, though, looks wonderful. Am I on?

Are you on? I'm on Parler. I'm hanging out on Parler. I can't get it to connect.

Oh, apparently MeWe's taking off. I'm getting requests for people trying to join that weird MeWe group. MeWe's thriving now. Yeah, MeWe's thriving.

There's so many different directions to go on social media at this point. There is. I'm just going to hang out on Facebook. Let's just start one.

Let's do it. It's going to be great. Me and you on the same social media. Hey.

Hey. We just messaged you in the chat. What's up? What's up?

Here's picture of me with Chad. Here's picture of me with Mike. Here's Mike with Abe. Here's Mike with Abe.

Warzone was a success right out of the gate, and we wanted to celebrate the brand's one-year anniversary by bringing out an additional size, says Eric Espinosa, via a press release. But it seemed like I was in the wrong place. Justin Andrews and I tested the blend. Oh, Justin Andrews and I tested the blend.

Oh, that's nice. So you made Hector a sissy Lala. And I don't know what Erik Espinosa is. We got 10 minutes.

Let's skip the rest of this story. A professional wrestler or something. A pitiful. I said, "Come on out here.

" Erik, what happened? I thought you were Cuban, bro. Goddamn. General Cigar Company originally announced that cigars are measuring 7x48.

However, they corrected information on Thursday afternoon and the story has been updated accordingly. Oh, I probably should have read something before that. Hmm. Let's see.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, Famous Smoke Shop, 80th Anniversary, getting a second release. Ooh. A limited edition from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust is about to get a bit less limited. Oh.

The second production of the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, Famous Smoke Shop, 80th Anniversary, releases for the retailer's anniversary in October. Yay. It's slated to release next week. The original production was 250 boxes of 10.

The second batch was 500 boxes of 10. You know, the limited went so well. We'd like to do it again. And double the numbers, please.

I would call it the 81st. 80th doesn't make sense. And a Facebook post. Not Parler.

Not Parler. Still not Parler. Amazing. So that the first batch went so fast, many of its customers missed out.

That's why it's limited. Yeah. That's the whole meaning of the word limited. Well, you know what's really awesome?

Here's what I really dig about this, is that somebody's going to get the new box, and they're going to take the old box and say, "You know, the new one isn't the same. " Or vice versa. You know what, the first one sucked, but this one's better. You know, this one's even much better.

It's a 6x52 Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock, Brock Prestoro. Cigar produced in Nicaragua, American cigars as a pricing set for $120 a box. Sokka has described the cigar as a, I'm not doing his voice. Do it, please, please, for the love of God.

Rich Liga. Everything amazing. What does Liga mean? He calls everything a Liga.

Liga just cigar? Blend. Liga is blend? Yeah.

So like a Liga Privada is what? Private blend. Private blend? Yes.

Oh, thank you. He calls everything Liga. Yeah. I noticed that.

It's a blend. There's classic Sokka through and through. Oh, that's Sokka. Classic.

It's a classic. It's a classic Sokka. Adding the wrapper is a unique, naturally sun-grown leaf. Why is naturally sun-grown in parentheses?

The second batch will relief during a virtual event held at Zoom on November 18th. Let's hear your Sokka. No. Come on, I love your Aspenos and your Hector.

I really want to hear your Sokka. No, we're not doing Sokka. It's an amazing Sokka. It's an amazing Sokka.

More information, including the opportunity. I'm not going to be welcome anywhere, anywhere. That's fine, you're good here. It's like a sanctuary.

To sign up for the event is available via the store's Facebook page. Again, not parlor. Again, not parlor. An additional release from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, Famous Smoke Shop has celebrated its 80th anniversary with cigars from Aganor to Leaf and Romeo and Julieta.

Ah. Okay, we're gonna have to take another break here in seven minutes. So, we need to move on to listener of the week. Ooh.

Who is the listener of the week? The listener of the week is... Uh-oh. What?

Coop. Hey! Yes, Mr. Cigar Coop himself is an avid listener of our fine little show.

Yes. Yes. And he checks the details. He checks the details.

Respect that. He likes it. We check the details. We got a mouse in your pocket?

I don't check the details. We're from Half Wheel and Mr. Coop. Make sure we give credit so we can keep doing that because I don't want to have to get a press release.

Yeah, we're not. We're definitely not. So, that's it. That's what I got.

We're at 55 minutes. I think that we're, you know. Do you have anything else? We're going to do the Patreon this week.

We're going to review the Cookie Monster. And I got a couple of good things to talk about. Michael needs to vent. Oh, it's a good show with events.

I love the Patreon. The Patreon sets me free. It's like your therapy. It really is.

I walk out, I'm like, man, I feel better about that. Oh, you're all lighted. You feel like all the stress is off of you. It's like taking a big poop.

Or getting a shot in the peepee. Or a shot in the peepee. You get shots in the peepee. I don't get shots in the peepee.

Weekly. Weekly. It's not in the peepee. Is that what your wife said?

Stop talking to my wife. I got to hold the baby today. No, you did. The baby came in.

My wife is so jealous. " I'm like, "You need to come to the shop. " It's true. The baby was fine.

Baby Teddy was fine until the uncle talked to her and then she cried. That uncle. Oh, a little happy birthday to Mr. Greg Stepankiewicz, the uncle.

He just had a birthday this week. The non-funcle. I heard he had a party at your house. He did.

Yeah. It was great. It wasn't there. Sorry to hear that.

That would be the first birthday party that I have not been invited to in six years. Okay, well, let me explain something to you, Mr. Palmer. Nope, I don't want to know.

All right. No, no, no, stop. This has been episode 149. No, no, no, no.

Listen. Thanks for listening, everybody. We gotta go. Bye.

Listen. Is that available now? Yeah. Because my wife's got a birthday coming up and I don't know what to do.

You can totally have it at my house. Oh, by the way, you have a country ladder or something in your house? A country ladder? That's what it was called.

Do you have a ladder somewhere inside your house as a decoration? I did. I took it down. Oh, do you still have it?

No, I chopped it into pieces and I throw it away. Why didn't you take it down? Why didn't it work? My wife said, "I would like a country ladder today like the one at Mike and Brittany's house," and I drove blank.

It was cool, but you know, it was just like kids. It's just better. Oh, yeah, yeah. I didn't think about that.

But all it is is that, you know, we made it out of like two-by-sixes and two-by-fools. " She goes, "Basically, I go, "Oh, that's right up my alley there. " You can't really use it. Well, that's what she, you don't really have to use it.

I go, "Oh, perfect. I can build that. " I'm sorry that you weren't invited. I'm excellent at things that don't have to last.

I did not handle the invitations. I did not handle the food. I did not handle any of it. And I got him such a nice present.

I know. That's how he treats you. I would never treat you that way. All right.

Can we sign off now? Because we're running out of time. Yep. All right.

Now we're really over. Now we're really over. I explained why I'm banned from his house. Okay, we gotta go, bye.
