162 Mikey do the loop! Industry News! Mike 2 goes back to Church

Episode Summary
Mike and Mike open episode 162 with a loose, conversational first segment: a father-son trip to an Orlando Magic game, a running rant about the "cello sniffers" and people who clearly have no idea how to smoke a cigar on TV (a Chicago Fire scene where a character hands out what looked like a red My Father–family box gets dissected), and Mike Toon's visit to the newly opened Cathedral Cigar lounge in the Tampa/St. Pete area, where he ran into Javier Plasencia and learned about the shop's late-night outdoor restrictions. There's also a long, very funny tangent about buying Cameo videos from Teresa Giudice, Jose Canseco and "Little Carmine" from The Sopranos — with Cameo price versus effort ranked in detail.
The news block is the meat of the episode. The guys break down Abe Dababneh's The Great Smoke virtual event, including the site crashing under demand and the Saka-made "Meat Lovers" exclusive with custom-built boxes. They then dig into Florida HB 987, the reintroduced bill to raise the tobacco purchasing age from 18 to 21 (this time without the flavored vape ban that got the prior bill vetoed by Gov. Ron DeSantis), and criticize the removal of the military exemption. Next up: North Dakota's House narrowly passing (48-45) a bill that would finally allow cigar bars and lounges in the state, with a laundry list of requirements — humidor on premises, enclosed walls, ventilation that doesn't recirculate into non-smoking areas, and minimum percentages of gross income from cigar sales. As retailers, they argue market forces already handle ventilation without a government mandate.
New release news covers Southern Draw's Manzana, a 6x52 Toro at $14.99 with a Habano hybrid wrapper made at AJ Fernandez's Nicaraguan factory; United Cigars' Irish Car Bomb Firecracker, a 3x50 barber-pole petit robusto with Dominican Candela and Mexican San Andrés, shipping ahead of St. Patrick's Day (with a nod to Two Guys Smoke Shop originating the Firecracker with a Don Pepin Garcia Blue); Jas Sum Kral's Nuglas, a non-CBD version of Riste Ristevski's Nugs line in Habano and Maduro with a dollar per bundle going to breast cancer research; and Joya de Nicaragua's Doscientos, a one-time 2,021-box release marking Central America's bicentennial. They close with Tatuaje— no, Tarazona Cigars founder Eddie Tarazona donating $10,000 to the PCA State Advocacy Fund, two Florida Man/Florida Woman stories, a Johnny Damon DUI rant about why wealthy people should just hire a driver, and Chet Atwell as Listener of the Week.

Or a face to hold up in front of you? Oh, yeah, yeah, like little fucking signs. It'd be great. Like, I'm with stupid and stuff like that.
That'd be amazing. That would be good. Make sure that, okay, wait, we can do the signs next week, but you can't read them beforehand. You just have to hold them up.
I can't guarantee that. No, cause you're a saboteur, man. You fucking, you always, you're like, you were the worst bus driver on the planet. You are.

Good. Well, let's get into it. All right. Me and you.
Sure. Why not? Sure. Why not?
We haven't talked in four days. Four days. Has it been four? No, wait.
Friday. Friday. Just two days ago. What happened, Michael?
Well, for one, I went to the Magic game. Oh! Yeah. Look at you.
And I had a great time. It was a lot of fun. Did Boots get you tickets? No, no, no.
My, how do I say this? And my son's best friend is also, his mom works at RDV and is close with all of us. Oh, I've met the ladies at your house. Yeah, so they're besties at, you know, my wife and her are besties and the whole gamut and stuff.
" And they set it all up and we went. Oh, two fathers and two sons. Two fathers, two sons. Oh.
It was amazing. Yeah, we had a really good time. And, you know, it's kind of funny, so, you know, Steph Curry was playing as Golden State Warriors, and, you know, any kid has a tendency to follow, like, somebody who's really talented, somebody who's kind of accomplished. Right, right.
So, you know, the feelings were kind of mixed between, like, the youth. It's like, we were, we're going to a Magic game. Right. You know?
And they're like, oh, go, go, go. Oh, they're like the other team. Oh, Golden State, Golden State. I'm like, uh-oh.
So, now, I'm not a Magic fan, but I might be after this game, I gotta tell ya, and so I started dogging 'em, I was like, let's go Magic, every time something crazy happened, I'd throw my jacket over, my son like, oh, that was great, you know, it was, it was, it was really fun, and the Magic won, and the Magic won, so it's like, man, you know, it's really close to my house. So you rubbed it in all the way home? I did, well, I converted them is what happened. Oh, now, at the end of the game, they're going, let's go Magic!
Yeah, it was just a matter of time. Damn those Golden State Warriors who don't like them at all. Well, I mean, I started the conversation with, tell me, guys, since you guys are such big Golden State Warrior fans, what state is the Golden State Warriors in? The Goldwyn.
Don't feel bad, guys. I have no idea. I would have said the Goldwyn. So yeah, I was picking on eight-year-olds and seven-year-olds.
What is it? I have no idea. California. Oh, see, I would do a Golden Gate Bridge.
California! So, yeah. Is it near the bridge? Is that where they get?
Yes, it's near the bridge. It's near the bridge. Oh, there we go. It's near the Golden State Bridge.
Oh, I would have got that right. I would have got that right. I'm just leaving it at that. I'm just letting that go.
Sports game. So, yeah, man, I had a really good time. Let's see what else we got going here. So, yeah, I'm thinking.
Oh, so our dear friend over here knows. This is kind of a segue. Our dear friend knows Bo Outlaw. You don't know who Bo Outlaw is.
I recognize the name. I couldn't tell you who he was. He's the GM for the magic. Okay.
We could potentially have him on the show. Did he used to be somebody else? Did he used to play or something? He used to play.
Okay. Who is our dear friend? Oh, your dear friend from the thing. No, our dear friend, the painter.
Oh. Steve. Oh, is he? Yeah.
Oh, we should, we can have him on the show. You know, I think that I have a good topic to discuss with him. What do you want to discuss with him? You want to let that go right now?
I want to talk about, I want to talk about athletes and some of their choices of cigars because it's very fucking confusing to me. Oh, can he speak on that? Does he know what athletes smoke what cigars or does he have a cigar that you don't approve of? I know what some of these guys smoke for celebratory purposes and stuff like that and I'm just like, man, I'm very fucking confused.
So I think that we need to really, he might not be the overall resolve for this, but we need to open up this dialogue between athletes and people in the cigar industry. Because you don't approve of their choices. Yeah man, some of it just doesn't make sense. Are they low-end cigars?
Some of them, some of them are... Give me an example. I feel like this is content for that show, and I really don't wanna... This is like prep for that show.
Yeah, no, I don't know. Otherwise, I'm just gonna sit here and hit the buttons. Well, you can hit the buttons all you want, I got more to talk about. I saw that, okay, oh god.
Oh no, just getting ready. You gotta switch to the next screen. Do you watch the Chicago's? Chicago PD, Chicago Yada Yada?
I watched the Chicago Fire, the hospital's too depressing because all the COVID people dying, I think we discussed that on one show, and the police one I sort of lost interest in two seasons ago. Really? Yeah. Petey's my favorite, but the fire?
Yeah. What's his name, one of the guys was having a baby, and he was passing out cigars. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you see what the cigars were?
I tried to look, yeah, yeah. Let's see, go ahead. No, I don't remember at this point, but I did notice when he did it, and I knew what it was, but I don't remember now. I don't remember now.
It was either Aroma De Cubas, or it was from the My Father regime. Oh, well, My Father, he's having a baby. Yeah, I don't think that that was it, though. It was like Aroma De Cubas.
They did a great job of trying to block it, like covering it up, but you could see distinctly it was the red box. The box, yeah. I'm like, okay. Yeah, I noticed the box.
I was thinking, oh, that is, but no. Those are either Aroma De Cubas or like the, it wasn't the Flor de las Antillas, but maybe the other one, the Antigüedad. Oh. Possibly.
I think that's a red box. I don't know. I noticed when they showed people smoking them, they made sure the band were off. Yeah, but those are pretty good cigars.
But there and again, you watch those guys smoke the cigars. There's two guys in that show that smoke on the regular. Yeah, of course. But they only have the two when they're unbanded.
Right. But there was other people smoking the cigars. Yeah, that episode was. Were they supposed to look unprofessional and not knowing what they were doing?
Because they definitely looked like they didn't look. Are you talking about the young man and the woman? Yeah. Yeah, because he obviously didn't know what he was doing.
And then one guy sniffed the cello. The Cell-o? Yeah, I did see that. Mount Sniff The Cell.
" Well, the two guys that normally smoke is Casey and then the other guy from the engine. Sully or something? I don't remember his name. I don't remember.
But you can tell Casey's not a regular smoker, but the other guy is. Yeah. You can tell the way they smoke. And we were out this weekend, and we were somewhere, and I point out and I go, "Well, that right not a regular smoker my wife goes how can you tell so i go well it's it's oh we were at the beach bar is what it was because it was the way he was smoking one puff at a time right and the way they hold it it's just not comfortable yeah yeah you could you can tell and i'm not here to like to poop on somebody that's trying to smoke if he wants to smoke smoke i just noticed he wasn't a regular thing because i mean there was five of us at the table sitting there puffing away and this guy walks by like that's the one that where did we get so lost that we couldn't that you know you can't ask somebody for help i'm like hey i've never really done this before what's going on you know like i have no problem saying hey i don't know what i'm doing here and you do any suggestions you know but just kind of like in life generally you know or like uh skip dropped a album cover i had no idea what the fuck it was what the hell is that like what is it i want to listen to it you know did he tell you yeah he did he didn't give me any shit about it i was expecting some shit but i didn't get any shit like look look man i'm trying to fucking learn here you got a problem with that i'm trying to front the back top the bottom skip can you tell me what this Yeah, so, you know, I don't understand where we got that, got to that point as a society.
Maybe that guy sniffing the cello was an ad-lib. And they just went with it. " Yeah, but you look like a slapdick, man, when you do some shit like that. Only to us cigar smokers, other people, I mean, my wife wouldn't have noticed it at all.
I know, but it bothers me. It just bothers me. It does, it does. I did notice him sniffing the cello.
Take the extra step. Pay the local retailer 50 bucks to come on set and explain it and say, hey, is this the way we should be doing this? No, that's actually totally wrong. You shouldn't be doing that at all.
You shouldn't be sniffing it through plastic. The young lady looked like she knew how to smoke a cigar. You think so? More than the guy did.
Maybe a blunt or something. I don't know. I was going racist then. That was not a racist thing.
Blunt. It didn't look like she was a cigarette smoker. No. Oh, Dylan Lewis is a red smoker.
Right. Right. There's only one other option there. Well, they both did say, are you feeling sick?
I'm starting to feel a little sick. Yeah, that was pretty funny. Like, I got all that. So if that was the way they were trying to go with that shot, that makes sense.
Like, two people, you know, not smokers. Right. Like, I get all that. You think anybody saw us?
I don't think anybody saw us. Right. Yeah. But no cello sniffers.
No cello sniffers. We gotta put a stop to the cello. There's people that walk in here that sniff the cello. I know.
It's sad. Do you correct them here? It depends. Just like everything, it depends.
Well, if you know them, yes, but if it's somebody you don't know, you're not going to go, you know, that looks really stupid. What does the plastic smell like? Are you getting hints of plastic? I can't think of an actual situation, but there's been things I've seen people do, and I'll go, just so you know, we don't normally do that.
You know, on the down low, you know, when nobody's looking. Can I help you with that? Yeah. Or like when somebody takes the, when they're done with their cigar and they mush it into the air.
Very angry. It doesn't bother me. But like it's going to go out on its own. But maybe you want to, like you're angry at something and you really want to go home and kick the dog.
And instead of kicking the dog, you put it out, take it out on the cigar. Match the cigar in. All right, then whatever. So.
It is what it is, I guess. Well, I went to Cathedral this weekend. You did? Yes.
I saw that. Very, very unique location. Did you tell them that you were the owner of Cigar Hustler? No.
My wife did. Oh, she did? Yeah. This is the Cigar Hustler owner.
She told Angela, well, she said this is Mike Flor Cigar Club, and she goes, oh, Mike Palmer? The Cigar Hustler owner? No, that didn't come out. It seems more the Flor Cigar Club.
Nobody actually knows that I'm the fake owner here. I feel like some people do know that you're the fake owner. Well, some people do. Or at least they think that you are the owner.
Actually, because Angela had come out because we were sitting outside, and she brought the ladies hand warmers, which I thought was very nice. A little chemical hand warmers because it was cold outside. Oh! That's what started the conversation.
Please take these hand warmers. Yeah, whenever you like these hand warmers because it was cold outside. How bougie. What a bougie place.
I thought it was nice. The only thing, the only two things I didn't like, the outside closes at 10 because there was a house that butts right up to their patio and the guy came out. He was very nice and he said, "I'm sorry, we have an agreement with the lady who owns that house. We close the outside at 10 because she has children or something," he said.
And then they accommodate us. They found us seats inside. The rest of the people, they all sort of shuttled down the side of the building where there's more seats down the side, almost like a parking lot adjacent. Yeah, go sit in the parking lot.
Kind of thing, but, and then at 11 o'clock, which, I mean, it could be a city ordinance, 11 o'clock, I mean, 10:30. Shut it down. 10:30, they're picking up ashtrays every time, you know, somebody's empty, they just picked this up, let's clean this up. So, 11 o'clock.
Ooh, interesting. Someone's at your door. It's not turned off, Michael. Silence!
I'm just happy I wasn't connected to the thing. I'm on silence. Oh, I'm just double checking on that. Oh, because you didn't know either.
But other than that, though, it's a very lovely place. Everybody was very nice. A lot of AJ and a lot of Fuente, obviously. You know, it sucks as a retailer that you have to always jump through specific hoops.
You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, they obviously bought that building, right? Right.
I would assume so. Yeah, I would guess. And yet you still got to deal with shit around. And you know, and it's cool that they're going out of their way and kind of accommodating that person.
Right. You know? I mean, we realized the house that we were sitting in, I mean, it is literally three inches off of the chain link fence. I mean, you could not walk between the fence and a lady's house.
No kidding. And when we were sitting down, we noticed, we could almost see in that lady's window if she didn't have curtains up. I mean, that's how close it was. Like, what about, you know, hey, why don't we buy you some really nice thick windows to really stop the sound?
Yeah, something. Well, it's an older house, too, because it's in that area. Let's double pane this shit. Let's, I mean.
Might have soundproofed the wall or something, because it's. Why don't we put up a wall? They could have done that, right? Yeah.
The outside was very nice, too, though. Yeah. I mean, they just got, I mean, they literally just opened it. Yeah, it's not even the grand opening.
It was still a soft opening. Yeah, so that's cool, man. Yeah, it was, uh, it was nice. Very exciting.
Very exciting stuff. Oh, Javier Plasencia was there. He was at the other end of our lawn fire table. My friend, I like him.
Oh. Well, he's a fan, apparently. Of the show? Well, he mentioned my social media.
I'm not sure about the show, but he was very nice. He gave me his card. He's opening a couple of shops in the St. Pete area.
Oh. A couple. A couple. Two to three, he said.
Two or three. Yeah. So, good luck to Mr. Placencia there.
Okay. What? I got some other stuff to talk about. All right, go ahead.
So, my wife is back onto listening, by the way. Oh, hello, Brittany. Yeah, she's back on. Hi.
We're back in full circle here. Oh. Is she watching the video or just listening? I think she's just listening.
Okay. But we have a situation here in regards to dropping off one spouse and picking up one spouse. When it comes to like grocery shopping or something, somebody's running in and out of a store or something like that. Oh, somebody waits in the car with the children.
Yeah, so like I had to go and return something at the Nike store. Right. My driver, my wife, she drops me off, I go in, go drop it off, I call her, I'm like, hey, I'm about to get up, you know, I'm coming up, she pulls up, boom, and we're out of here, right? Now, on the other side of things, I'm definitely not as accommodating, and I just kind of want to know, get an idea of where everybody else's line is here.
Well, we do that, we do that often, but without the kids, but she'll just not want to go in somewhere, right? So, I park. Okay. So, I had that scenario.
So, there were two times where I would drop her off. I wouldn't drop her off as close as she dropped me off. Right? So, it just didn't work out.
You can't drive by the door? Well, like, the way that I was going into, like, the publics and stuff, I was going, it was weird. You know, like, I couldn't cut left, and then I'd be going the opposite direction. Even though I was going, she's like, no, just let me out.
So, wait, you went down the lane, and the store was, like, to the left, but you had to go right. Yes. Why did you have to go right? On either side, if you're going down on either side, the next aisles go up.
The store is right here, I'm right next to it, and like I can't go across traffic to kind of park in front of this. Oh yeah, you can't, but people do that all the time. Those people are assholes. They are.
I hate, like the building stores on the left, they stop in the right-hand lane. Yeah, that drives me nuts. Okay, well, I stopped in the right-hand lane so she could get out. Okay.
And she got out, and then I found a really good parking space. It was really close. So I parked. So she circles.
She circles. And you park. And I park. If I park, I watch the door, if she...
Oh, yeah, no, no, I don't watch the door. Yeah, yeah, I got, yeah, it's not good. If you're on the phone, or you're in the backseat watching a video on the drop-down DVD screen. Man.
Sorry, honey, I was watching the game with the kids. You know, if she was in and out, she's in there pretty quickly, but you could tell she was pissed, and I'm really sorry that I pissed her off. " If I start to doze off, then I start circling. Oh, that's when you start circling?
I get, like, it's stressful. Because I've had that. I mean, they're in there so long, you don't usually... The whole looping, the whole looping thing is, it's so stressful for me.
I hate the looping. I fucking hate that shit. I hate doing it. Or maybe you can be two or three aisles away, you can find an aisle that doesn't have a lot of traffic in it, and you could sit for a few minutes.
Right? Yeah, that's, that's... I don't know, it just drives me nuts that I have to keep fucking moving. You know, with the phones, you're always gonna miss them, you know, watching the door, watching the door.
Oh, I got a message on Facebook. Here we go. Oh, shit. Here she comes.
God damn it. She's going down the wrong aisle. I'm not even in that aisle. Yeah.
So, uh, that was my life today, or this weekend, uh, we've had a little more research. We've done, we've had some more purchases with the cameos. I didn't purchase this last cameo, but one for, uh, Justin. Yeah.
So I purchased that one. So I obviously did one for my wife. Right. With Teresa Giudice.
Right. Then I did another cameo purchase for Jose Canseco. Right. Right.
And then my brother-in-law, the Manny. Mm-hmm. He made a purchase for his father, Carmen, who's actually his birthday is going to be one of his heirs, so happy birthday. Oh, happy birthday, Carmen.
He did one for, like, Little, probably. He did one for Little Carmine from The Sopranos. Oh, okay. And let me tell you something, this fucking guy, he did like his three-minute diatribe.
Long thing, huh? Which, and it was absolutely fucking amazing. Oh, so he's better at it. So, well, and you can watch the old ones.
Right. Yeah, that's true. And, but, but here. They give you a sample.
But here's a little perspective here. Okay, so Teresa Giudice was the most expensive. She missed the fucking whole kid. She did.
She missed a kid. Yeah. Right. And don't get me wrong.
I was happy with all, all of them. Right. Right. But we're talking about different levels of quality here and the quality gets better as it gets less.
Jose's look like he might've been drinking a little bit or something. Jose Canseco just busted it out and he's like, oh, that's amazing. and then he said like that's how he started and then he kind of went in and it was still like off script and right but it was still i don't know what this is but he was at and he's like he did his own plug for his car wash and man jose can say it was amazing car wash like i didn't see the car wash and that was fine too like that was it was still good it was still i'm like i was still happy with it but you know he was like 30 or 40 bucks less than oh no actually he was a hundred dollars he's probably a lot less he was yeah he was over a hundred dollars less than teresa she's So we're riding high on Bravo time. Right, so I'm like, okay, I'm like, damn, that was, and I was impressed with Jose over Teresa, because, you know, Teresa missed a fucking kid, you're missing a kid, it's a big deal, and of course, you didn't miss the one kid that always gets neglected, fucking justice.
So, good thing he wasn't older. Yeah, right, he'd be like, oh, no, yeah, but he, I think he picked up and was like, why didn't, yeah, why wasn't my name mentioned? Why didn't the lady mention my name, daddy? I'm like, you know what, I'll tell you what, kid, you just go ahead and you let that, you keep that inside and you use that later on.
It'll come up in therapy later, don't worry. I can tell you, that shit happened to me for 20 fucking years, so don't worry, you can be as agitated as you want. First time you crash that car, you go, well, it's because Teresa didn't say my name. Right, exactly.
You'll be better off. You just go ahead and you bank that for later. And then, and then this fucking guy, Little Carmine, probably hasn't done anything since The Sopranos, right? Right.
I don't even know exactly who Little Carmine is. I think his name's like Ray Abruzzo or something like that. I'm sure, if everybody saw his face, I would know him, I just don't know him. So I saw his face and I'm like, man, he looks familiar.
I'm like, who is that? And then I had to look, look, look him up. Now I have to look. So once I looked him up, I was like, oh yeah, man, yeah, that's, fucking Sopranos was a long time ago.
Carmine with a C or a C. Little Carmine. Oh, did he plug his pizza? He did not.
Little Carmine's New York pizza. No, he did not plug his pizza. But he did like this, it's an, it was an amazing thing. And he was even.
Oh, okay. I know who he is. You know who he is, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So he was even, his, so his diatribe was amazing and it was the lowest fucking price. Really? Cameo! It was like over three minutes!
Oh, wow. I just find it, you know, like, damn, I paid a premium for Teresa. Carmine did a plug for, I mean, the names are very similar too. Did he play off that at all?
No, I mean, but it was, oh man, he had like, he had like a, you could see that he had like this set skit kind of diatribe with coronavirus and all those that he worked in. And then he integrated personal stuff as well. Made it topical. Yeah, it was, I mean, it was amazing.
Right. Absolutely amazing. And he busted it out, like, Brian, the man he sent the post, and he had a response within like 30 minutes of boom, done. Oh, he's, ooh, I got one, I got one, I got one, look at this, look at this.
I mean, shit. We should, we need to set up Cameo. Uh, we can, but there was some reason I didn't do it. I don't remember, there was some, uh, some approval process, or maybe something you had to pay, or something, I don't know, but yeah, there was.
Hey, well, let's pay. Okay. Well, we didn't have money then. Oh yeah, we have money now.
We have money now. Yeah. You have Case Elegant's money still. And Patreon money.
A little bit here, there, all adds up. I'm trying to see, in case there's a trade show, the show can send me to the trade show. Oh, the show can send me to the trade show. Well, not if we spend all the money on setting up.
We'll figure it out. If you want us to pay for it, we'll pay for it. Alright, we're at 25 minutes. You got anything else?
I do. Oh, please, continue. I have more. I have more before we get into the news.
Because when the news starts, I'll introduce a secret guest for the week. Secret guest? Yeah, we're a secret guest. Oh.
Just like last week. Oh, interesting. I can't wait for that. So, I started watching Your Honor.
Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You mentioned that last week. Okay.
And it's fucking pretty interesting. It's pretty interesting. However, I will tell you this. If you watch...
Spoiler alert. Now, it's not going to be a spoiler alert, but if you watch the first episode, make sure you're not watching it when you're eating dinner or some shit like that, because I'll tell you, there's There was a scene that I was dry heaving. I'm like, oh, yeah, I can't. There's certain things.
I don't know what it is. I can't handle. I just can't handle. I just can't clean up vomit.
That's the only thing I can't do. I can see it. You can throw up on me. I just can't clean it up.
You know what? I mean, I can deal with that. I could probably, it might be a struggle for me to clean up the vomit. 'Cause I have in the past.
I can't. Honey, dog threw up, honey. I tried. I can't even look at it, I tried, I'm like, the dog threw up, I'm gonna get sick.
The first episode, there's a scene. Well now you gotta tell me, what was it? I can't, because it'll ruin it. Spoiler alert, can I go ahead?
Alright, fine. Spoiler alert, if you're about to watch the show. If you wanted to turn it off, don't listen to the last four minutes of the show. So, this kid is bleeding out.
Blood. Oh yeah, and the other kid tries to give him CPR, and he blw all over his mouth and fucking everything. So he's giving mouth to mouth, and the guy into the other guy. Oh my god, just thinking about it, it makes me want to hurl.
It's tough. Well, they use, well, the paramedics stuff use mouth guards. Yeah, well, that obviously wasn't happening. It was an emergency.
Yes. So that was tough. And then I got a little drunk on Saturday night by myself. By yourself?
Oh, I'm a little depressed. I was hanging with the wife, and she passed out. She was tired. Oh.
So I started to watch Little Things. I watched Little Things. Watch Little Things. That's the one with Denzel and Jared Leto, and we were talking about the movie.
Oh, the movie, yeah. Yeah, I heard it's bad. Oh no man, I thought it was really good. I heard it was bad.
It's one of those movies that's really kind of fucking deep, and you really got to be paying attention to all the little stuff that's going on. Yeah. Because there's a bunch of little things. Wow.
Is really what it boils down to. It's the little things that catches you or something. Yeah, it's the little things that get, you know, people get caught, blah, blah, blah. But it's like, but it's deeper than that.
It's, you know, it's kind of, it was kind of like a rite to passage for this new detective guy. It was really kind of amazing. It was. I enjoyed it.
Glad you liked it. Yeah, you would fucking hate it. Probably. Yeah, probably.
So don't watch it. No. Just save yourself the grief. Save myself the grief.
Anything else? I mean, I feel like I just covered a lot. You did. You covered a lot.
A lot of steps there. Cameos. Fucking parking. Pretty amazing.
Orlando Magic. I think I should become a Magic fan, man. I don't know. Well, football season's over.
You need something. Yeah, I had a good time. In basketball season long, too? Yeah, I'm more of a Heat fan.
Like, I love the Heat. But, you know, shit, the Magic. The Miami Heat? Yeah.
There's another team, oh no, there's another team called the Hurricanes. The Miami Hurricanes? Well, but there's another, a different sport, I think a hockey team or something. Oh, really?
" Do I get points for knowing there was a Miami Hurricanes? Somebody acknowledge that for me, please. They did, they gave me the point. Well, you can have the point.
All right, pop, you got that. It was my son and his friend, so. Okay. Yeah, but I don't know, man.
It's really close to the house. I had a good time, you know, and you know, it's really cool because there's coronavirus. Like you're wide open, man. There's nobody around you.
It's great. It's one of the blessings of the coronavirus. Oh, it's not crowded. Yeah, there's, you know, there's just very minimal stress when you go to one of these things.
I'm watching the clock. We're about to go off. I like that. All right, we're gonna take a break and then we're gonna come back and see if Michael did anything else or we will start.
I'm done. We're gonna do the news. We're going to do the news. All right, we'll do the news.
All right, we'll be right back. All right, and we're back, episode 162 of Cigar Hustler Podcast. Yeah. Are you going to cover the Abe thing, the Great Smoke thing?
Are we going to talk about that? I wasn't, because I don't have a whole lot of information about it, but we can talk about it real quick. Hit the news button. Okay.
The Cigar Hustler Podcast news! I forgot my little cup today, so I'm just drinking out of the jug. Drinking out of the big jug. Grandpa needs his medicine.
You take my medicine? Okay, so this past weekend, we don't have this as a story, but Michael want to talk about it. Yeah. The Great Smoke.
I do. I heard it was an excellent show. If you watch it, I was obviously in Tampa and I only caught the beginning of it. Yeah.
So a couple things. I mean, just a couple things. Did you watch it? And I tried to watch it Sunday, but it was alive only, apparently, so.
But I believe Chet had it on here at the shop for a brief time. Oh, that's nice. So I wanted to say, for one, like, we were supposed to be on there, right? There was some mention of that in the beginning, yeah, I guess it didn't work out, they had other things, more important, you know.
It would have been a little weird to have another shop on or something. You think so? I don't know how it went. If you had a party or something, I understand they cut you in, but I don't know how they did that either.
Well, I mean, you know, but that was the early stages. That was before Michael Herklots was the co-host and Schmokini was the co-host. So maybe just think she... Well, I know that some of that stuff sometimes bothers you.
Oh, no, no, not Abe. Not Abe. It's fine. It's fine.
So if Abe wanted to fuck your wife for five bucks, that'd be okay? No, no, he's a very large man. Six? I'm gonna get a pound.
By the pound. By the pound. 300. So you need 300?
Dollar per pound? I don't know. Maybe. I don't know.
No. No, he can't fuck my wife, Michael. Oh. Oh, I just wanna know where the line is.
Nobody can but me, Michael. Jeez. I don't know what's going on at your house where this is even a thing that you discuss. Well, I mean, I don't take my wife to the bulldog pub.
No, I don't either anymore. I understand why. Oh, so the other thing was that, you know, so the server crashed on the site. A few times is what I understand.
A couple times and some people got agitated and stuff. People got a little upset. I did watch that. I did watch his little monologue about that.
Oh, yesterday? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I saw that too. Yeah, I watched that.
And, you know, I gotta say, as far as that's concerned. Yes. It's pretty fucking impressive when you crash your site. I know.
You know what I mean? Like, holy shit. People are saying, like, I put stuff in my cart and all of a sudden they said it was, I got a message that was a problem and then my cart was gone. Like, that's fucking amazing.
That's a lot of people buying shit then, apparently. I want to get to a point where I have to fucking build my own server or something, you know what I mean? Like, that's pretty much where he's at at this point. Yeah.
You know, if he's, you're going to draw that much. If he does it again, the same way, which, I mean, if, If it was successful, I don't know why you would do it differently. Yeah, well, I mean, but the fact of the matter is that he actually has enough pull where he can draw that much attention, right? And, you know, he played it well with the fucking Sokka, yada, yada, and, you know, the exclusive and the other bullshit, whatever.
So, if you hit that, if you hit that market, yeah, you can piss some people off, whatever, they'll get over it. You know that- No matter what happens, somebody's gonna get mad. Yeah, well, you're gonna have to take it to the next step, and the next step is actually either, A, You can't be building your own server or be beefing that up. Right.
Which is pretty amazing. I would imagine if he did it again, he would eliminate the problem probably. Right, yeah, this is an issue. Yeah, okay, here's what went well and here's what didn't work last time, blah, blah, blah.
I'm sure there was a meeting afterwards where we can do this, we can do that, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, so apparently if you're Abe though, you get two exclusives from Sokka annually. Well, what exclusive? Meat Lovers.
Oh, that's right. Oh, Sokka made the Meat Lovers, didn't he? Yeah. Yeah, Chet had one up here the other day.
Yeah, well, I mean, Sokka went the next, I mean, not Sokka, Abe went the next level with that thing and he fucking built his own boxes. Oh, I didn't see that. Yeah, he printed and built up his own boxes and boxed them all up. Oh, wow.
Yeah. Aren't we having Sokka in here? Yeah, we should. Hopefully he's going to be by.
Do you know the day? You said Tuesday or Wednesday. Oh, Tuesday, Wednesday, not Tuesday, Thursday. Some reason it's Tuesday, Thursday.
When you get, what time are you coming in tomorrow? I don't know. Are you getting an advance notice, I'm guessing? I hope so.
Because I have some mom and dad things to do tomorrow morning. I'm hoping for an advance notice. Yeah, where he shows up and there's nobody here. Oh, Steve, hi, Steve.
Well, I mean, you know how it doesn't work that way. I'm not going to sit here and wait with bated breath for anybody. No, no, no, no, that's what I've got to do. So, Florida tobacco purchasing age increase bill introduced again.
Again! Last year, Governor Ron DeSantis voted, which would have both increased the minimum age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 21, also banned flavored vaping products in Florida. Now there's another effort to change the tobacco purchasing age, but without banning flavored vaving products. Rep Jack Toledo from Tampa has introduced HB987, which will make it illegal for anyone to sell, purchase tobacco products in Florida if they are under the age of 21 to sell purchase.
It includes some other provisions such as banning the use of tobacco or vaving products by anyone under age 22 within a thousand feet of a school. I didn't know that was a problem. What are the teachers going to do when they're in the school? And what are they going to vape?
Removing existing language. Teachers always get pooped on. Oh, isn't that the truth? Removing existing language, I'm not allowed to comment on any of that stuff.
I forget in trouble. Removing existing language that allow those servers in the military to purchase tobacco regardless of age. Oh, that's nice. So they're going to remove that and create a potential fine, $25 in community service, 16 hours for those under 21 who found in possession of tobacco.
Yep. So, yeah. What? Nothing.
Nothing doesn't fit. There's no button now? No button for that. I think that it's ridiculous.
It's absolutely absurd. Here we are over-regulating the shit out of this stuff again. And, like, there's a pandemic going on. There's a bunch of shit that really could.
There's other more important things happening. And fucking Toledo's like, you know what? Let's bring this up again. Let's address this for the 21.
I need to get my name out in the public. But the bill doesn't include any attempts at restricting flavored tobacco or flavored vaping products. When DeSantis voted the bill, which passed the Florida House 99-17 and Senate 34-4, he said that the banning of flavored vaping products would lead to people purchasing them on the black market. And he's right.
He's right. Yeah, that's what happens with over-regulation. Toledo told Florida politics that, oh, it's a she. Oh, whatever.
I thought his name was Jack. I thought it was too. She said that it's her. Toledo told Florida politics that she wants her bill to be a starting point.
Maybe it's Jackie, more comprehensive tobacco regulations, specifically when it comes to vaping products and concealed. It's just ridiculous. The simple age change is just to bring Florida laws in line with federal law. Oh, so that makes it okay?
I mean, so stupid. Yeah, if we listen to the other laws of the other states, we'd still be closed. Many states have changed their own laws to increase the minimum tobacco age for 18 to 21 years, and many states' local law enforcement would not be able to actually punish people for violating a federal statute unless it is confide, codified, codified? Codified into state law, as her federal enforcement FDA says, it will begin conducting compliance checks with individuals under the age of 21, now a reasonable transition period has concluded.
Many states. Many states is such a vague term. What does that mean? How many?
Eh, many. What the fuck does many mean? Eh, one or two, maybe, many. It was reciprocal.
What? Um, what? Hit it again. Volume's too low.
It was like a conversational coitus. It was reciprocal. As they were discussing it, it was reciprocal. You know who that is?
Yeah, it's Matt Booth. Oh, yes. North Dakota bill, House of Representatives approves a bill allowing cigar bars and lounges. But you brought something up, I think, very pertinent to them.
Oh, thank you, thank you. That was nice. Matt said, yes. A bill in North Dakota legislation seeking to allow cigar bars and lounges to open in the state has cleared its first major hurdle, passing the House of Representatives by a 48-45 vote on Wednesdays.
How is it that close? This is North Dakota. How the fuck is it that close? Oh, that's so stupid!
Like, there's 45 of you that said, you know what, no, no cigar lounges. Well, see, I don't understand the story, and it's not quite clear if this is just in general, so there's none now, or they're allowing them to open because of COVID. Oh. I don't know what you mean.
Either way! Either fucking way! It's stupid. See, the bill creates exemption to state restrictions on smoking indoors.
Ah, that's what I said. Right, you can't smoke indoors. You can't smoke indoors. And indoor and in places of employment, so you can smoke indoor if nobody's employed there, which would work out here because Chet and I always refuse to accept payment, so no employees, which would allow cigar bars and lounges to operate legally, to do so, such a business would have to take and meet a number of criteria.
They would have to obtain a certificate from the tax commissioner, operate a humidor on the premises, be enclosed by solid walls and windows, a ceiling, and a solid door. Be equipped with a ventilation system by which exhaust air is not recirculated to non-smoking areas and smoke is not backstreamed into non-smoking areas. So you want a cleaning air filtration system. You want something that sucks in the air and pushes back in clean air.
Nothing that pushes it out. Right. No recycling and pushes it to where people aren't smoking. Permit only the smoking of a cigar purchased on the premises.
Okay. I guess you couldn't bring in your own stuff. Oh, you brought that? Oh, is that online?
Additionally, cigar bars would have to generate 10% of more of the established gross income from the sale of cigars with a cigar lounge would have to generate at least 30% of its gross income from the sale of cigars. Okay, some of the shit's obnoxious. There's a lot of rules. Yeah.
Hey, you have said tobacco, like if you want to fucking bill me for a tobacco license, bill me for the tobacco license. Now you're going to make more money on sales taxes and stuff like that for me selling the cigars. So like all this other fucking hoopla is insignificant. The compression of the air and the filtration, all that, look, if it's too smoky in the fucking building, people aren't going to stay and hang out.
It's just that simple. I just had a savage case of deja vu right now. Evidently Matt's familiar with this. Oh, okay.
Very nice. But that's the truth, right? You know, if we didn't have filtration in this building, one guy would light a cigar up, all of our eyes would be bleeding, you know, it'd be terrible. Oh, yes.
Without question. You wouldn't be able to see, smell, or anything. So I don't need a government mandate to say, hey, you need filtration. Well, there are some lounges that don't have filtration.
And their businesses suffer because of that. Depends on the place. I don't know about that. I was maybe at a place this weekend where they didn't have it running yet.
They're brand new. Not that brand new. Very high ceilings. That's brand new.
Yeah, it is very high ceiling. We were on the second floor. It was very, very hard to, I mean, my eyes were burning. And believe me, they got enough money.
Well, the machines were there. They're evidently just some problem with them working. Yeah, so they're working on it. Right, so, but, you know, there and again, same scenario.
Right. " Maybe? I don't know. Oh, this is a good back and forth we're having, right?
Very, very specific. Well, they say the equipped with the ventilation in which exhausted air is not recirculated, so you have to, I mean, do we recirculate here? So, like, I would look at, you know. Yeah, because the filters.
We do recirculate. Yeah. Yeah. But, so here's my problem.
So that would not meet the guidelines. What, us recirculating? Yes. No, we recirculate, but it's cleaned.
You have to do something with the air, Mike. You can't, you can't eject it out. Oh, you can't recirculate to non-smoking areas. There are no non-smoking areas really here.
Unless you count the B-side. No. We smoke over there. We smoke everywhere.
We smoke everywhere. We smoke everywhere. We smoke everywhere. We smoke everywhere.
Actually, I light up walking out of my garage on the way here. I get out of the gym, I normally light a cigar. It's like, okay, cigar. So, here's the problem, and this is the bigger issue on a national level, right?
" Well, that's probably non-smokers. I don't... that's irrelevant though. You're not going to tell me the other 48 are smokers.
There's no way. Sure, they all are. No, that's not the case. Their husbands are.
Jacky's house has been nice to have a nice cigar. But they're obviously a little bit more feasible when it comes to saying, "Hey, you know, we've over-regulated the shit out of this. " It still isn't at the level that it should be revised, but it's progress, right? And then there's 45 people saying, "No.
Nope. " So in North Dakota, you know... It's freezing outside. It's the frozen fucking tundra.
Right. It's negative eight degrees sometimes. You know what I mean? You throw stuff in the air and it freezes.
You know what, asshole? Go smoke outside. What? I'm sorry.
You know what? That's the dumbest shit. That doesn't work anywhere. It's cold.
I don't know. You know, I'm just a small retailer, but it just doesn't make any sense to me. 45 people say no. I mean, go ahead.
Hit your button. No, I don't think that. Yeah, thanks. They burn it.
They burn it, yeah. They're gassing me up over North Dakota. I want to go over there and start protesting or something. All right, Mike.
Southern Draw Manzata is putting out a Toro. Southern Draw. No reason I pulled the story. Late last year, Southern Draw released a blend that was created to pay homage to the origins of the tobacco itself.
The cigar is named Manzanita. Manzanita? Manzanana? We had this problem last time.
Yeah. It's apple, so. Manzana? Manzana?
Yeah. It's Manzana. Which translates to Little Apple from Spanish. And while we don't know where the tobacco comes from, We know that the wrapper is a Habano Hybrid Leaf.
The binder is a Habano Leaf and the filler contains a Palo de Oro Corojo 99 and Lajero Tobacco. J. Factory. Do you want your cigar for the Patreon?
Not at the moment, no. The Saga? The Saga Blend No. 7.
Saga Blend No. 7. The blend number seven. According to Southern Draw, the somewhat unusual name comes from, came about, well, uh, Abel?
Adel? Adel Fernandez? Abdel? Abdel?
Abdel. Holy shit, you did not have to say that. I got his name wrong. J.
Fernandez, his name's Abdel. I didn't know that. I mean, you'd think you would know that. He's one of the big names in the industry.
J. I didn't know. Robert Holt and Sharon Holt, I know them. Please excuse my friend.
Along with members of their respective teams were inspecting bales of Habano hybrid leaves. The town is back that way. Would be used for the wrapper and knows how they have an oily, deep red color reminiscent of the red bark of a manzana tree. Yes.
I think it would have just said apple tree. Isn't arbo tree? I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Manzana arbo. Right. No, it's manzana tree. Manzana de arbo.
You know, this is red like a manzana tree. Apple tree. Like an apple tree. I don't know.
I guess apple, I guess the calling the cigar the apple would not have the same effect. Did you see that Arlen called Skip "Gayo Mas Gallos"? Yeah, everybody posted pictures of the roosters. Like the big cock.
I posted a picture of a rooster. Cock of all cocks. Poor thing, she's doing the best she can. Oh, bless her.
The draw debuted on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at ten retailers. Each home received a hundred boxes. We went over that before. All right, next story.
United Cigars announces Irish Car Bomb firecrackers. We're not getting those, are we? Who's doing this? United.
Nope. There will soon be a new firecracker. Who's the rep is for that? Kim Keen, Schmokini.
Oh, yeah, yeah, you're right. She was just here. Yeah. She did the video with us.
United. There will soon be a new firecracker on its way to store shelves. United Cigars has announced the upcoming release of the Irish Car Bomb Firecracker, which will have it on store shelves ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
The cigar is a 3x50 Petit Robusto. It uses a barber pole wrapper design made from the Dominican Candela and Mexican San Andres leaves, with the Candela providing the tobacco used for line signature wick. Underneath that is a Nicaraguan Criolo binder, while the filler uses Dominican Lajero along, are you not enjoying that cigar already? I'm just taking a couple dry draws from it, it's actually kind of sweet.
Along with Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Broadleaf Tobacco, the cigars are produced at the Magia Cubana, did I say that correctly? M-A-G-I-A? Sure, we'll go with that. Sure, we'll go with that.
In Guardo, Dominican Republic, with production limited to under 15,000 cigars, going into a press release. Cigars are meant to be celebrated with friends and smiles, said Oliver Nuvod. I've heard some good things about United. Director of operations for United Cigars.
I'm familiar with the cigars, but I've never had one. Yeah, you know, my boyfriend, the rebar guy. Oh, that's where I'm from. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
Are they still doing that show? I don't know. I haven't heard from them lately. I don't know.
I have to ask. I have to ask. The rich and-- tighten those things on the side, Michael. I know.
Little things there. The rich, creamy, draws, unlimited release, barber pole firecracker is a perfect, so let's raise a pint this St. Patrick's Day and light up an Irish Carbomb firecracker. They are being offered in five-count packs with a MSRP of $30 and are being scheduled to ship to stores the end of February.
Firecracker series of cigars were created by Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire, 'cause they invented the firecracker. They did. With the Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Cigar that measured three inches long and a 50 ring gauge. Its cap was decorated with a long strand of tobacco that resembled a fuse with a release date to around July 4th holiday.
The line was born. Since that, the first cigar, the Firecracker line, has evolved into its own brand, which is made up of the... I don't know, some factory camera. We get it.
Firecracker. Okay, good. Fucking next story. We get it.
Wow. Moving on. Jessam Crowell announces Snuggless as a March release. Smuggless?
Snuggless. Nuglas. Nuglas. Nuglas.
Nuglas. Nuglas. Nuglas. Nuglas.
It's called fucking Cigar. It's announced as the Nuglas. Ever wanted to try his Nugs line without the CBD. Yeah.
You will soon have the opportunity to do so. The company has announced the upcoming release of Nuglas. Nuglas. Without the CBD.
Without the CBD. I receive messages constantly and talk to people regularly. They say they can't smoke the Nugs, says Riste. Oh, my glasses are hitting the thing.
It sounds like I'm farting over here. Yep. " Uh-huh. You know, why buy stuff from a dick?
I don't know, Matt. That's very rude. Oh, man. Why would you say that about Riste?
He's not a dick. No, I know it was Matt. It wasn't me. Yeah, he's not nice.
He's not nice. Riste is very cool. He is. I like him.
Me too. I met him in person down at the Great Smoke last year. Yeah, I met him a T-- well, I met him a couple times, but I was talking to him on TBE last, I think. Ah.
That was pre-pandemic. He did speak highly of you when I met him. Did he? Yes.
That's cool. They put their podcast shirt on. Oh, well then, you know. He knew.
Because of the possible drug test to create a false positive, even though that's impossible, and I explained to them the process, they still worry. I understand it's not worth the risk for them, I decided to release the non-CBD version. Same blend and all, but no CBD. Nuglas will be available in both Habano and a Maduro blend, keeping the same blend as a CBD-infused version.
The Maduro version uses a Mexican San Andreas Maduro wrapper, Indonesian binder, fillers from the Esteli and Jalapa regions, Nicaragua. Caragua. A. 5 and 48 Petit Robusto Vitola in package of 10 count bundles.
99 per bundle. For every bundle sold in 2021, he will donate $1 to Breast Cancer Research. Every box? Bundle.
Every bundle gives a dollar? Every bundle he gives a dollar. Huh. The bundles also featured fairly distinct packaging.
Yeah? Yes. With an ongoing rotation of images of women's breasts. Have you seen the promotion he was doing?
Women's breasts. Have you seen the promotion, you know, he has those tank tops that he gives away to women? Okay, so you take the thing, you stick it between your boobs, you press them together and you take a picture. He's rotating all these pictures that he's been given on the different bundles to make them collectors.
Do these people want, you know... Well, there's no face, so, I mean, unless you can identify... They want rights to it or something like that? I guess he...
Clearly, those are my tits. I guess you'd have to prove it. You owe me for those tits. The original idea was to have a Nugs calendar for cigar shops to have that featured ladies from around the world, but I changed it to have the ladies in a rotation packaging cover for the cigars, like a collector's item.
Cigars will debut at the Golden Leaf in Hobart, Indiana, in March, and then get a worldwide release in April. Huh, okay. That's exciting. We're running out of time already.
Hoya rolls a limited edition smoke for Central American Bicentennial. The Bicentennial. Wasn't that other limited release for the one they gave away at the embassy events? That was Central America, wasn't it?
That it was, yeah. So that one now is available everywhere, so now they have a different one. A new one. A new one.
Central America celebrates its 200th year of independence from the Spanish Empire in 2021. So it seems fitting that Nicaragua's oldest cigar company is relishing in the event with a special smoke. Hoya de Nicaragua will commemorate the Bicentennial with a one-time release of Dos Cientos, 200 in English, as well as a virtual smoking event in September for those who purchase a box. Oh.
Hoya will release 2,021-count boxes of the Dos Cientos. So we can buy them. In August. Yes.
In August. Yes. Well, shit, we're in February. So maybe you should start answering.
So you can ignore the email for probably a good three, four months, though. Okay, good. Yes. Oh, yeah.
Is that... Are they still with Drew's date? I don't know. Oh, yeah.
No, no. We got those last ones from... I can never remember his name. This is fun, though, for me.
Yeah, I know it is. Go ahead. It is for you. It's very nice, but he has no social media presence whatsoever, because he's not allowed to.
Can't think of his name. Drawing a blank. Wow. No social media presence.
He's with a bigger company. A bigger company. That's who we got the Blue Hoyas from? Blue Hoyas.
That we reviewed a couple of weeks ago. Huh. Number one cigar on Cigar and Spirits Magazine. Interesting.
You know what I'm talking about, or you're just now just drawing me out? I don't know who you're talking about. All right. Who does he represent?
What's the brand? Altidus, that's it. Oh, Ryan? Ryan!
Yes, Ryan at Altidus. Wow. How did we get, we didn't get Hoyas from him, did we? No.
We got the fucking Romeo and Juliette in Nicaragua. Oh, that's right, it wasn't Hoyas. So it probably is still Drew Estate. Well, wrong cigar, right guy.
Long Cigar, right guy. He needs some vitamins or something, bro. I don't know what's going on with you. It's been a long day.
It's been a long day. Tarzona Cigars donates $10,000 to the PCA State Advocacy Fund. Uh-oh. It's going on now.
The Premium Cigar Association announced today that Eddie Tarzona, my friend Eddie, founder of Tarzona Cigars, has donated $10,000 to the PCA State Advocacy Program to help the brick-and-mortar retailers defend against... Defend against... Who are they defending against? The evildoers.
Of the world. Of the world. The onslaught to propose tax huts. The onslaught.
He's working in flavor bands. Yes. On behalf of the premium cigar retailers, I want to express my gratitude for Eddie's generous donation. That's nice.
See what I mean? So like putting an additional tax on cigars, I think that a lot of these guys would follow suit. Well, so far they got 50 from a group and then they got 10 from Eddie and 10 from... 10 from Eddie's a big fucking deal.
It is a big deal. He's not like, you know... He's not a huge company. He's not a big mainstream brand.
He has taken on three or four salespeople lately, though, too. Okay, so he's heading in the right direction. He's growing, obviously. He's growing, obviously.
But still, I mean, that's still, that's still a big chunk from a guy like that. Oh, yes, yes, it is. You know what I mean? It's a small but growing premium cigar brand.
It's a desire to see the PCA grow, it's funny. " I'm like, "Fucking 10 grand? " Like, any time I thought I'd just drop 10k, bro. I mean, you should probably be dropping like 100.
Oh. Just saying. Okay, I have two Florida stories and we only have time for one. Which one do you want?
So, I want both. Do it. All right. I believe in you.
All right. Florida man caught masturbating in a Walmart parking lot, told cops he was lonely. That was a good one. A man who was arrested for masturbating in the parking lot of a Florida Walmart told police he took matters into his own hands because he missed his girlfriend.
The indecent incident happened Wednesday in Vero Beach, according to a police report. Oh, man. Cops were called after a shopper noticed a suspect's self-loving session inside a Kia parked outside the store. The outside story.
You couldn't just leave him alone. Kia loves that story. Let that man, he's in a Kia. Like, life has fucking hit this guy pretty hard.
According to the tipster, the Walmart wanker, had the driver's side window down. He was performing. Oh, down. Oh, yeah.
I mean, what is this guy thinking? It was hot. It was hot. Geez.
Where's the logic? Fresh air. Driver's side window down. He must not be working on that Kia.
Performing the highly visible loot act in broad daylight. Arriving officers said they found the hard evidence of a 26-year-old Kyle Weiss. Oh, he's a young kid, too. 26?
No, that's not old. He missed his girlfriend. He was lonely. I noticed that he had an obvious erection protruding from his shorts, a cop noted in his report.
Weiss initially... Even when the cop showed up, he was still erect? Still going at it. My goodness.
Weiss initially told police... He must have got some of those gas station ED pills or some shit. He was at a Walmart because he is an Uber Eats driver, but... Oh, that's disgusting.
He eventually confessed... Oh, this story's getting worse. He was performing a sex act on himself because he is lonely as his ex-girlfriend is in Colorado. Nice.
Oh, it's his ex. The police report states... She left you, bro. You gotta move on.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. oh, he didn't realize he could be seen playing with himself. With his window down. Yes, in the Walmart parking lot.
Well, he was arrested for exposure of sexual organs and disorderly conduct and released on a thousand dollar bond. But if he gets convicted, does that make him a sex...? Who paid the $1,000? Oh, he had to.
Well, $1,000 bond, you pay $100. Well, you drop $100, you don't get it back, you get the bail bondsman. Right. Well, I actually go to the court, his photo and everything was online, it's not like he can hide from this.
The jerk-off guy. I know you. I know you, the guy at the Walmart, the Walmart wanker. Yeah, you should go to Target or something next time.
Fucking consumers are a little more understanding, I guess. I don't know. I don't know. Home Depot.
Two Florida women dressed up as grannies to get their COVID vaccine, officials say. Oh, I heard about this one. Two Florida women dressed up as grannies in an attempt to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Health officials said Thursday, it was just over in Orange County.
I know, I know, I know, I know. See, the wacky getup included their bonnets, the gloves, the glasses, and the whole thing said Dr. Raul Pino, the director of Florida Department of Health in Orange County. Workers at the Orange County Convention Center vaccine noticed the women looked funny and stopped them before they could get their shots, Pino said, according to WKMG-TV.
They'd also been an issue with IDs and driver's license they provided, Pino noted. The duo was coming for their second dose, so they got the first one. Oh yeah, they got the first one. They got the first one.
Yeah, I was just gonna say that. Pino said he didn't know how they were able to get their first shot, and it's unclear if they use the same ruse. Because people don't, they just want the shot. If you're a fucking worker and you've got to just stick everybody in the arm over and over again, thousands of times a day, you're not sitting there going, wait a second, wait a second.
All right, we've got to wrap this up. I've got more to talk about. Well, we'll have to go to a third part. A third small segment.
But I've been twice now with my parents. Yeah. And they checked IDs and everything. And they offered, they asked me if I was getting it, which I guess I could have as a caretaker to those.
that's what I'm saying yeah I turned it down I mean you know the sad part is they've already kind of determined that it's like a 93 and 92% like immunity level with just a one shot right I thought the one shot was 65 two shots was 93 nope you sure? mmhmm I don't think that's what they told us when we were there unless things have changed a new research came out a new research came out so like we'll go to commercial but if you got away with it the one time got away with the first one like you should just coast just leave it alone oh well You know, you got to go back for the second one. Why you got to press your luck? You hit the whammy, man.
What the fuck? Well, probably the first one was so easy. Yeah, but shit. Uh, let's see, the ladies, one was 34, one was 44.
34 years old! Yeah, how does she dress like an old lady? I mean, what in the fuck are you thinking? Halloween makeup or something?
And you got away with it the first time. See, the Orange County Sheriff's always said that one of the women was 44, the other was 34. Uh, in Florida, only adults age 65 and up. Healthcare workers and assisted living residents and staff are eligible for the vaccine.
You would think that would have been easier to put the fake than the age. Right. Yeah, just go into like a nursing office. Go buy some scrubs.
I'm here on my lunch break. Yeah, get this done. Do you have your hospital ID? I'm sorry.
I was such a hurry. Oh, man. Fuck, I left it. I got to go back.
Can we just do it as quick? I'll bring it next time. Yeah, I'll come back for a second. When I come back in.
Yeah. See, a number of people to falsify their nennies to get the shot is probably higher than they expected. Of course it is. So they have revamped.
Security has been ramped up at the vaccination sites as a result. Oh, who fucking cares? So you got something else to talk about? Because this is doing well.
Just real quick. Well, we'll be right, we got like 10 seconds. All right, we'll turn it off, and we'll be right back. Hey, it's Mike Toon with my Cigar Hustlers Podcast, looking for high-quality swag from the show?

All right, we're back for a very brief part three of episode 162. What did you have to say, Mike? So, I know you're not like an athlete guy or a sports guy or anything like that. Did you see Johnny Damon, though?
You know who Johnny Damon is? Don't even know who he is. Okay, so Johnny Damon, he was a big deal, he was a center for, he was a center for the Yankees, he was a center for the Red Sox. Oh, the baseball guy, they got the DUI?
Yeah! Yeah, yeah, I saw the story. m. Well, he's just an athlete that got DUI, dummy.
At 8 o'clock in the fucking morning! I didn't read the story, I saw the photo and everything. And this guy's got a boatload of cash. Oh, did he have a lot of money on him?
Oh, no, no. He's very successful. He was drunk for the night before. Oh, yeah.
Right. Well, he probably, he probably would not go to sleep. Well, that's what I mean. He's like, I got this.
I got it. But like, yo, if I'm, you know, if I'm even a fragment of successful, as far as like my income is concerned, in comparison to fucking Johnny Damon, I'm never getting behind the wheel of anything ever again. That is your ultimate goal here. Let alone.
To be drive back and forth to the shop. And I don't even drink a lot. You know what I mean? Like, I don't even want to fuck.
like i just want to sit on the other side just fucking be able to do whatever i want meanwhile this guy i mean for one you could have ubered which i don't understand why he didn't right and for two dude you could just pay like somebody would happily for like a hundred grand a year hey listen this is what you're gonna do you're gonna be my driver and wherever i go why didn't he have one of his boys he's gonna have friends you're gonna park the car and you're gonna read a fucking magazine and if and if and if i go to fucking eight o'clock in the morning you could Don't take me home because guess what? That's what I'm paying you for. You know, my wife offered to drive home from Tampa and I jumped on it like that. Done.
She goes, if we go in at 7-Eleven, you get me a fountain drink, I'll drive home. Just the one? Just the one fountain drink, right? Let me know exactly how many ice cubes you want in that cup.
Exactly. Because I'm going to make sure that this is solid here for you. 15 minutes onto the highway, I was out. Yeah, so you don't think...
Woke up as we're hitting Orlando, like this is the best thing ever. This is amazing. So you don't think that Johnny Damon could have had somebody to handle that? He actually did the new Weasel Sunday in the car when she was driving.
Isn't that nice? Oh, yeah. Handling shit while somebody else is driving. Woke up.
That's what I'm saying. Oh, we're in Baitland? Yeah, we're almost home. Okay.
Yeah, that's what I-- I'll be back out again. I'm all about that life. Sign me up. Put the seat back?
I mean-- I'm over-- I mean, forever, 'cause I've never seen the passenger side in her car. I'm sitting here trying to find-- what are you doing? I'm looking for the lever. I'm putting my head back.
I'm going to sleep. Right. And you know he had to do some dumb shit to get pulled over. Rolled through a red stop sign or something.
I mean. Weaving around or something. Fucking. I'm not advising this.
Let me just throw that disclaimer out. I'm not advising this. We're not telling you to do this at all. At the very least, Johnny Devin could have had one of those fucking fancy Teslas that drove him home.
Right? Something. Yeah, the auto driver. Yeah.
Yeah. And then he gets pulled over and just jumps in the passenger seat. You know, the cop wouldn't know anything at that point. He'd be like, do you know why I stopped you?
I'm like, I don't know. I'm not driving. The thing does it itself. How does the car stop?
Does the lights come on? " Yeah, I guess. I don't know how that works. And just crawl out and put yourself in the basket.
I thought it just drove you straight. I mean, it's not gonna like stop, it stops and stops. I thought that some of the, I don't know, who knows? I don't know.
Who knows? But imagine if it did. Because all the footage you see, it's on a highway. I feel like that it does, it's gotta do more than that.
I don't think so. Okay, if anybody knows. Yeah, we're not, we're not that bougie. Oh, have you seen the, we'll do, okay, have you seen the videos where people are trying to drink beers with the tense things hook on them?
- No, what? - Okay, there's that thing you hook to you that does- - The tens units? - Yeah, yeah, tens units, you know what that is? - Yeah, of course.
- Okay, there's a thing going around where you try to drink a beer with a tens unit on you. - Okay. - And I guess they turn it up, you know, and you can't- - To a really high level? - Do you want to do that for the show?
- No. - I got a guy who's got one. - I have a tens unit. - Oh, you have a tens unit?
- Of course. - Oh, we should do that. - Why? - Well, can you bring in Chet and I, we'll do it and do a separate video.
That's the dumbest shit on the planet. Oh, it'll be funny for the show. We'll do it for the promo for something that's coming up. You'll fucking turn the 10's unit on.
And we'll try to drink something. Have you had a high level of 10's unit on you? No. I had one year at the IPCPR, there was a guy there, but it's the one that just gives you a little zap like a massage.
So I'm guessing 10's unit is much, much stronger. Well, yeah, if you go full, I mean, it'll clench the entire muscle on you. Right, yeah, that's what it does in the video people. It's like zzzz, and it'll pull it, like whatever direction.
Yeah, people are throwing beers over their hands and stuff. Yeah, because if it's attached, let's say it's attached to your bicep and your forearm, and that whole thing tightens, it's gonna go poof. Right. All over you.
Yeah, it looks funny. I feel like, okay, whatever you want to do, Mike. It's very topical right now. All the kids are doing it.
Well, it's big on social media. Yeah. So, Chet and I will do it. I mean, planking is the most big on social media, too.
I mean, his planking? Yeah. What are they doing planking now? Remember when you lay flat on specific things?
Yeah, they're not planking again, are they? No, but all I'm saying is that was also a stupid thing to do. Well, so it was 22 push-ups in 22 days. That was a little stupid thing.
No, that was a statement. We were there for our veterans. Oh, okay. Supporting them.
All right. Veteran of suicide awareness. Chet's wife had a little surgery today. She did.
She's doing well. Yes. Chet was not able to be here today. He wasn't.
We can give Chetty and his wife, Rebecca, a shout-out. You didn't do the Listener of the Week, either? It's Chet Atwell. Chet Atwell is the Listener of the Week.
He listens every week. He does listen every week. He also gives us feedback. Yeah, he does.
He does a good job of that. Usually while he's listening. We got feedback from somebody today about what you guys said was so funny at the end of the Patreon last week. " I don't remember.
I don't know what he said. Can you fill us in? How funny were we? What was it exactly?
Can you please let us know exactly what the hell we said? Right. I love that though. That's awesome.
And then he laughed and I didn't even think that was the funny part of the show. Yeah. I mean, he was giggling while he was telling us. And I'm going, no one even a good part.
It's like, I don't know what I said at episode 161. And if you listen to episode 100, I couldn't fucking tell you about any of that. Oh, I don't even know what it was. The only one I know is 145.
Yeah, that's kind of a big one. I did look today and that has obviously eclipsed Skip Martin as the number one show of all time. You're damn right. But Skip No.
1 and Skip No. 2 is 2 and 3. Skip Part 3, not even in the top 10 anymore. Not even in the top 10.
No, maybe it's time for Skip to come on the show again. He should come on the show. He was in fucking, I don't know where the fuck, he's in some fancy hotel. I don't know where he's going.
You know, John Carney was looking for some type of plumber or something in Orlando. Does his girlfriend live here maybe? I think so. Ah, okay.
Just curious. He did that this morning? Allegedly. Allegedly.
Can't give that information. Maybe. Maybe. It's possible.
They don't know. Very, very possible. So congratulations, Chet, Listener of the Week. Listener of the Week, Chet.
We hope Becky is doing much better after her surgery. He sent me a picture from the hospital. Passed out in the bed. Comatose.
They even put a mask on her, passed out. Here for protection. Yeah. And I go, "Oh, her nose is showing.
" Well, didn't they test her prior to? Yeah, and she had to be quarantined all weekend. Even though she was tested, until they tested her, she made her own little bubble. Right, yeah, a little bubble at home.
And then they still masked her up. Because, fuck you, that's why, I mean, like, what's the, where's the logic? I don't know. Where's the logic, Mike?
It was a regular surgical mask. Huh. But, you know, they pulled her, I guess you can't catch it through your nose in the hospital. Oh, it's safe.
It's safe there. Through the nose. You'd figure everybody was in there, would've been, well, you know, I don't think Chet was tested, they allowed him to be in her room, so. But she's doing well.
You think Chet would have to be tested? Maybe he was, but you think he would have mentioned that, or videoed it, or something for us. Yeah, him shoving a fucking Q-tip up his nose? Yeah, I couldn't do it to myself.
Some places make you do it yourself, they'd be going, it's not deep enough, I'd go, yeah, it is. It's fine. It's fine. This qualifies.
Leave me alone. This is fine. All right, let's get to this Patreon, man, because we're running out of time. All right.
We've got a good podcast. We're going to do the Saga Blend No. 7. Saga Blend No.
7. Michael's halfway through already. Yeah, I am actually. Alright, good for you.
Alright, thank you everybody for listening and we'll be back. Please like and subscribe. Yes, please like and subscribe. Thank you.

m. for all new episodes. Hi, I'm doing, I'm Husto-I-Raw. Yeah, we just don't have to do a single, uh, single podcast ever again.
Perfect. I'm good, Mike and Mike. How are you guys doing? The Hojo, the...
Hojo! It's the Hojo! You didn't even let him fuck it up all the way. I gotta get past Hojo!
I don't even have to try anything. He's not even gonna try. We're gonna cover a lot of ground here, Mike. All right.
Try to keep up. That's a sign of a good podcast. It should be like four cigars when I walked in a door. All right, end this.
