It's right there in the field. Oh, right in the showers. Woody and Buzz. All right, kids, time to go to the showers, but not you.
Mad about the spork. All right, on the spork, I thought he wanted to be the iPad. The Etch-a-Sketch. The iPad.
He wants to be the iPad, it's not even in the movie. Oh, it's the iPad. Is there an iPad in the movie? Etch-a-Sketch, I think, is what he was referring to.
Oh, okay, well, that makes sense. No, he was talking about the iPad, because the iPad's taking over for kids. Oh. Oh, but it's not in the movie.
Can you talk to him about that please? It's a new Toy Story. Talk to him. It's Toy Story 8.
He can't recreate Toy Story 2. Okay? Buzz and Woody Say So. Yeah.
It's our show. It's our show, for God's sake. Well, it's our movies. On today's show, we lose $5 million in chickens.
Oh. Sir, that's not approved behavior on a school bus. And then, we may be famous, but for helping America poop. The school bus one's going to be the best one.
No, we're famous for making people poop. And in cigars, we have a portal entry. Bentley says take five and the French take your money but want you to hold your money at the same time. They have a mini game of what's the score.
But before we get started, this doesn't work for me because I have to turn my whole body. That's fine. How do you get some of this CH Pod swag, Michael? I'm just not gonna look at you.

Check us out. Like and subscribe. What else? What haven't I forgotten?
Have I forgotten anything? Beanies. We need to make another hat. Well, we're giving up on the beanies.
We need to make another hat. The hats did well. 079 on it? Just on the hat.
Can we stitch? We don't stitch, do we? I could do something like that. We could do a patch or something, or even if it's just a direct-to-transfer paper, you know, like a soap screen.
I don't know how our equipment works exactly. We can do a silkscreen. Yeah. 079.
Is that what it was? Yeah. It has to have something else on it. 079.
Well, if you know, you know, kind of thing, like an insider thing. But you got to work the Polsanya logo into it somewhere, you know, something. It's just, it needs a little bit more. You could do it in red and black.
Well, the hat would be black, I guess. Yeah, hat would be black, or maybe that, maybe we get some red. I think there's like a second hat I can rotate through my wardrobe, it's a... 079.
Oh, that's not a bad idea. 079. Okay, we can look into that. We're gonna do special hats for PCA.
Oh. Yeah. Nice. Yeah.
But those are only gonna be, those are given out. Oh, that's gonna be our giveaway this year? Yeah, they're gonna be given out by appointment only. Oh, I keep meaning to talk to you about what we were doing.
'Cause the bags worked well last year. Mm-hmm. All right, let's go. He's...
I don't understand why he doesn't put it on silent. It is on silent. It's my watch. I don't know why he doesn't put his watch on silent.
Leave your watch in the car. Yeah, I don't know why you don't leave your watch in the car. A devastating fire tore through a large chicken farm, killing an estimated 85,000 chickens and causing nearly $5 million in losses. According to officials, the blaze broke out inside one of the farm's poultry barns and spread rapidly, fueled by dry material, bedding, and the structure itself.
By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had already fully engulfed the building, leaving little opportunity to save the animals trapped inside. Crews worked for hours to bring the flames under control, but the scale and intensity of the fire made rescue efforts nearly impossible. Thankfully, no injuries to people were reported, though the losses of life among the animals was significant. Authorities say, "The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Electrical malfunctions are often a leading cause of barn fires, especially during colder months when heating equipment runs non-stop, but officials have not yet confirmed what sparked the particular blaze. " That makes sense. That's a terrible joke. That is a terrible joke.
I was waiting for it. How are you going to feed 85,000, like, what's, what is 85,000 chickens break down to as far as like pieces of food? It's got to be astronomical. Well, 85,000.
You have the two legs. You have the two legs. It's probably 85,000 buckets. Two thighs, you got the breasts.
Two thighs, yeah, well, if you separate the breasts, there's two. If not, there's just the one big one. That's a KFC bucket. That's a lot of chicken.
Oh, yeah, it's a KFC bucket. 85,000 KFC buckets. But you don't know where this happened? What state?
No, there was no occasion. It wasn't, it was just a blurb I saw somewhere that turned into a good story. Maybe Kentucky? Was it one of the big brands?
They did not mention the manufacturer at all. It was a big farm, obviously. I mean, 85,000 chickens in one building. That's got to be huge.
Does Ben have 85,000 chickens? It could be Ben's, yeah. It could be Ben's? Yeah.
He was smoking a Warbear yesterday. Maybe he got a little out of hand. And then just looking at the... Warbear of mass destruction.
Maybe he just chucked it into the chicken coop. Right, and said I'm done with these 85,000 chickens? Yeah. They have these new ones, the big ones, that are motorized.
Chickens? Chickens? No, the coops, the big ones that they put in, because they eat the grass, so they sit for a day, and then the chickens eat, and then it goes, meh, it moves like a giant tank, and then it goes back down. Right.
But this one just burned. This is burned. Just burned. It's not organic.
I never thought about warming equipment for the chickens, but I guess they would freeze if you didn't. Yeah, you gotta keep them warm. Yeah, you gotta have, it's heat lamps, which, those little red bulbs. Oh.
Like those. Oh, like at KFC. That's not bad, KFC. Yeah, like those things.
That's how they get the chicken juice to them. Catch on fire all the time. Those are the worst things in the world. It's the red light.
It's the red light. No, no, no, fine. You don't die yet. We're just prepping you.
I hope they got insurance. What's the insurance check look like for that? Five million dollars. You think it's an even five?
I don't know. It's got to be a deductible. A deductible on the chicken? 500 bucks?
You could sell that stuff cooked, so there's some money you're saving there. Yeah, it's still good. It's still good. 7.
Were they egg-laying chickens or eating chickens? Because maybe I just sped up your process for you. Did they have eggs? Did they have eggs?
Can we sell this in America? If not, can it go to Ethiopia? Oh, yeah. They'll eat anything over there.
They're hungry. Right. I don't think you're going to be able to sell any of that chicken. You really don't think you'll be able to sell any of that?
You don't think the firefighters just sort of scoop some up? No, it doesn't work that way. You never know. Oh, my God.
Okay. All right. Next story. All right.
A 62-year-old school bus driver is facing serious criminal charges after authorities say he was caught engaging in sexual acts on a school bus. I can't wait to hear what the sexual act is. Well, there's no details. Oh, okay.
You don't have like a joke on it or anything, huh? No, no. After picking up a woman from a street intersection and exchanging money for sex. According to investigators, the incident did not come to light through a student complaint or a routine patrol.
Instead, the case surfaced after a school district employee reviewed surveillance footage For an unrelated internal investigation. Oh, this poor guy. Poor guy. He didn't know that there was a camera on the bus.
You drive it every day. Yeah, he's a school bus driver, bro. What do you expect from him? He's not a brain surgeon.
Yeah, exactly. That's the bad part. He might have been getting away with this for months. They're looking for a little Timmy or Tommy was bad in the back of the bus.
Check the tapes. This has been going on for years. Oh, that doesn't look like Tommy. Wait, I hope that's not Tommy.
During the review, the employee reportedly noticed concerning activity on the bus and immediately alerted district officials. Hey, everybody, look at this. That guy's a snitch. He wasn't doing anything.
He didn't hurt anybody. Kids weren't on the bus. You know what I mean? Well, allegedly, we don't know this.
That the kids weren't on the bus? No, that he didn't hurt anybody. Oh, okay. Sure.
I guess you could slide that in there. I don't... Yeah, you could slap her on the horn. Yeah, you could just throw allegedly out for no reason.
I mean, I do when I get nervous. I'm like, I could get in trouble for this one, I'm like, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly. Law enforcement was contacted and officers say the video shows a driver stopping the bus, allowing a woman to board and then engaging in sexual activity inside the vehicle. Officials confirmed that no students were present on the bus at the time of the incident.
The driver was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses related to sexual conduct and misuse of public property. How do you not feel bad for this guy? That sounds a bit of a stretch, misuse of public property. he still drove the bad this guy literally drove a big bright yellow bus somewhere right maybe up a woman i'm not gonna say a different word prostitute whatever assuming yeah close to it alleged maybe it was just the bus monitor he gave her money he said right yes yes yeah so uh and then did this in broad daylight this like wasn't even in no nighttime or anything well you got to They might have the bus back by a certain time.
Right. Their GPS located. There's a camera on there. Why does he always go by 5th and Main on the way home?
Why is that? Right. I'm willing to bet, if I were a betting man, this has been going on for years. Yeah.
Right? Sure. And at one point, he used to cover the camera. And then he realized, eh.
He got lazy. Oh, it was a bucket list. Yeah. No, it's not a bucket list.
He got lazy. He got lazy. He got comfortable. He's like, eh, no one gives a shit.
Nobody's watching. They would have caught me by now. is too though i mean i don't know if i'm like the guy who's reporting all this i'm like is he hurting anybody probably a woman you know oh that's not nice maybe but allegedly you know i mean like well they're more likely to snitch at a guy getting a blowy on a bus than a guy would poor guys just getting a little you know like maybe he's got a thing for yellow buses it probably doesn't have transportation this is probably only only thing well this way his wife can't catch him Maybe he got caught when the firetrips showed up for them. Honey, I'm gonna be a little late today.
Gotta drive the bus over on the bad side of town. Whatever. But no, I do not feel bad for him. This seems a little silly.
I guess I don't feel bad for him, but it just seems whatever. You know what I mean? Like, why wouldn't you just go park the bus and go get your own vehicle? They didn't say he was driving it at the time.
He might have picked her up, pulled into the Piggly Wiggly parking lot, No, I know, but I'm just saying, like, why'd you do it on the job? Why don't you just go get your own vehicle? He's got a thing for school buses. No, you know, like, look, there's a lot of devious things going on here, right?
Palmer's 100% correct. It's very possible the guy's married and, like, this is his, like, routine or whatever. This is his Wednesday afternoon. Like, these acts are not good.
But like, all I'm saying is, look, if you catch this guy, he's not, he hasn't hurt anybody, right? Like, I think that he can be confronted and say, look, bro, like, no more. It's over, dude. Right, yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean? Don't make it a big public thing. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you do have to stop it because you don't know how it's going to progress.
Right. You want to put it to an end. Right, right. Right.
But I don't think that it's elevated to a point where you're getting the authorities involved. Nah, now we need to call the police. Look, dude, listen, man, I gotcha. I gotcha on film.
It's got to end. And it ends now. If it doesn't end, this is what you're looking at. You're looking at felony charges, you're looking at, you know, you're losing your job, sexual conduct, unbecoming to a bus driver, all of these things, you know, consider this your lifeline.
I'm telling you right now, you need to get your shit together. Right? But now, this guy is totally screwed. He's been removed from duty pending an outcome investigation.
School district officials released a statement calling the alleged behavior deeply disturbing and emphasized that the student's safety remains their top priority. They also confirmed that they are reviewing internal procedures to ensure proper oversight and accountability. Well, we don't know, like, how the scenario went either. Like, maybe the reason why they're prosecuting him is maybe do, like, some weird, like, role play thing or something.
And he dresses up like a little schoolgirl. Right. It's a school bus camera. Sally, you've been dead.
Nah, dude. You're overthinking this. It's a school bus camera and he's picking up the person without teeth on the side of the road. You know what I mean?
Well, I guess that's easier. There's no... Moves faster, though. Not much time.
Take your teeth out. This isn't some elaborate, you know, whatever that you're talking about. I don't know. There's no way.
We don't know. We haven't seen the video. We haven't seen the video. com.
A lady with no teeth comes on with a big lollipop. Big tails. All right, then he's got to go instantly. A plaid skirt that doesn't fit.
You're done. You're done. Oh, I dropped my book. Oh, God.
Turn the cameras off. What state did this happen? I don't know. West Virginia.
West Virginia? Sorry. I don't know why I said that. The question is, on the tile for the show, is it a chicken's putting out a fire, or is it a guy driving a school bus?
The school bus. We can see the top of what he says. It's the school bus one. Oh my God.
What did you say was going to be the best one? The best story? The school bus one. Okay.
So far, so good. Did you see the tile for yesterday's show? I did briefly. Is Joshua Haberski running down the road and there's a sign behind him that says "Cigar Hustler" and it's that way?
We're aware, but we're not upset, it's us. All right, follow this one under things we never thought we'd say out loud. S. and interest in it has quietly exploded after an undisclosed podcast started talking about it.
Oh, we're trendy. And then actually trying the soda live on the air. The drink concept isn't new. In Japan, fiber-fortified sodas have been around for years, Including versions from the Coca-Cola Company that included indigestible dextrin, a dietary fiber linked to digestion, and a bowl and bowel regularity, sorry.
But until recent, America's mostly treated soda is a problem, not the solution, the change, and listeners of the Mystery Podcast heard host openly discussing gut health, constipation, and the uncomfortable truth that caffeine and carbonation allegedly affect digestion. Then came the moment that we pushed it into the WTF territory, they cracked the cans, drank it on the show, it was a bottle. And reported the result. No sponsors, no brand reveal, just honest, slightly horrified curiosity.
S. gut health soda space with Simply Pop, a prebiotic soda containing around 6 grams of prebiotic fiber, real fruit juice, and added vitamins. The goal isn't flavor, nostalgia, it's feeding beneficial gut bacteria and supporting more regular digestion. Yes, that kind of regular probiotic sodas are already trending, but this one stands out because it blurs the line between functional and functional.
He's a personal health drink and classic soda behavior. You know, I just looked at Boots, or Phil, whoever the hell he is, and I'm like, oh my god, he's sweating. And he's not. He's not sweating.
He was crying out of laughing so hard at the last news article that he has like tear remnants on the sides of his eyes. I'm like, oh shit. It's very funny. It's hard to wipe it off right now.
Yeah, I get it. I get it. Spears his makeup. So, this is crazy.
I mean, Palmer, you should really work for Disney. You're a great storyteller. I don't know how you come up with these. There's no way that this is a real story.
Yeah, Mitch actually sent me the link to the story overnight. So, I saw it briefly last night and I read it this morning like, oh, wait, well, we got to do this. S. Poop coke is coming to America.
So, we're trendy. We're trending. Well, they're not mentioning us. They should have.
S. That's right. We're officially sponsored by Poop Coke. Can't wait to see what the Opus Clips will do with that.
The podcast initially launches Poop Coke. Poop Coke. All right, Mike, you got a video for us today? No video today, my friend.
Do you have a link for us today? No link today, my friend. Do you have a picture? Not even a photo.
A meme? Sure. You want a meme? Yeah, send us a meme, please.
Send you a meme. Something I can awkwardly put on the screen that is hard to do. All right, I'll work on that. Why don't you just send a photo of you and Preston to Palmer and let him make it awkward?
Okay. I can send you a video of us with the team when we won our championship. You want me to do that? Is there a lot of hugging?
No, there's no hugging. My guy's in the middle. Like, our league, you know, his league is about to start. Like, our teams are about to go.
And, dude, I always feel for the guy at the beginning of the season. There's just so many moving parts. It's wild. It's wild.
So, today is the day for the games. Do your jerseys have his picture on them? Yes. Are you the Preston Powerhouses or something like that?
We are the Preston Powerhouses, yeah. Oh, exactly. And then I have five different teams, so I have a 3-4 Preston Powerhouse Silver, 3-4 Preston Powerhouse Gold, a 5-6 Preston Powerhouse, and then a 7-8 Silver Silver Preston Powerhouses. Oh, that's great.
Good deal. Yeah, that's what we are. All right, moving on to cigar news. Already?
Yes. Well, what do you mean already? That was three stories. What do you want?
Well, you get three and three. I'll do the best I can. Yeah. Gonna have to make some stuff up here soon.
No, that's okay. We're running fine. Okay. All right.
We got a new portal entry. Crux Cigars has announced that it has hired Chip Goldeen as the company's new VP or new EVP of sales. Executive Vice President? That's correct.
Good job. Golden has worked in the cigar industry for more than 30 years, most notably as the top VP of sales for Ashton Distributors, where he spent 24 years. In 2021, he joined El Septimo, Geneva, oh, he worked for Prince Abu Babu, Abu Babu, and a similar role, and most recently, he worked at Cayman Cigar Company. So it's not like he's sort of working his way down.
You think Cayman's above Krugs? I think Krugs is probably above. Well, no, I mean, that would be a jumping up, but I mean, he was up at Ashton, and then he went to Prince Abu Babu, and then Cayman Cigar Company, which I'm not familiar with. I guess he's from the Cayman Islands.
Ooh, I'll play this game with you. I don't think that – I think that the best one so far is Crux. As far as – Well, I back up now, but I meant before he was – Yeah, but if I compared all three, if I compared Ashton, Ababois, Kamen, or Crux, if those four were on the table for me to have a job, Crux is the one. Over Ashton?
Oh, yeah. Think so? Oh, yeah, man. Did you hear about, like, well, that's like Patreon talk or whatever, but, like, there was a whole thing.
I mean, Rex was an Ashton guy before he became the Drew Estate guy, and he was probably, like, one of the best sales reps in the business. And he came in, and he had nice hair and a suit and this whole thing. Oh, he didn't have the long hair back? Oh, he had it, but it was, like.
. It's always been well kept. Well, no, he went through this whole homeless stage for a period of time. Oh, like, so far he had it.
Yeah, he had it, like, kind of slick back. And like, you know, there wasn't a single strand that was out of place. Oh. Yeah.
It was wild. And he was really good at his job. Still crying. I like how Palmer treats Rex like a GI Joe.
Yeah. It's like safari hat Rex. You like safari hat Rex. He used to wear this safari ball cap that had the flaps around the side.
Yeah. And he was great at his job. I've never, I mean, I don't know him that well personally, but I've never heard anybody say anything bad about him. Yeah, but there was like a regime change and then everything kind of went like a different direction, right?
Um, so, so like if, if those four jobs were presented to me, it's like, Hey, you can, you can be EVP of one of these four. I'm joining Casey at crux all day. I'm like, okay, I'll take that one. You know, even if it's less money.
Oh, really? Yeah. Better brand, better cigars. Um, and you know, Casey's a good guy.
I like Casey. Yeah. He's a good guy. So.
All right. I'm very excited to be back with an established cigar company. He says, "Golden at a press release. " They got the best cigars.
The greatest cigars. The biggest, the best. Good, good boxes. They got great boxes.
Great boxes. And then Casey usually dies at PCA. He usually gets something. Yeah, he gets sick every year.
It's weird. He has gout. We have solid inventory, so you will not run out of cigars in your stores. Our plans are to introduce merchandise with marketing programs that are friendly and profitable to our retail partners.
We're also developing a new in-store events program that we will be presenting to you very shortly. We plan to immediately add to our professional sales force so we can better serve you in your retail stores. Crux is coming up with a program? Yeah.
All that's interesting. I mean, it sounds like the guy's got a plan. Right. " But, you know, there's this battle going on right now in the world of retail.
It's like, how important is a sales rep in every single state? And you're starting to see more and more of this retail portal kind of popping up where retailers can pop onto the site and they need to place orders or whatever the case may be. So I'm kind of interested to see how this is going to track. Will there be a significant boost in numbers?
Will it, you know, will it all make sense? Or does it make sense to go the other direction and focus more on the online, the retail portal aspect of things? Me, for personally, I believe that you kind of need both, unless you're Padrón, and you don't need a single person. We're not entering the phones today, okay.
They can all call back tomorrow. I'll be right back with your samples. So, but, yeah, I'm interested to see how this goes. So, you know, I look forward to meeting this guy in and getting a better understanding of how that, how it works.
You know, maybe one day he co-hosts. Oh, how exciting. Moving on. Unless you have other questions, do you have any other statements about the Crux?
About the Crux? The Crux. No, no, no. Their new sales rep in the area seems to be doing well.
Uh, no, I'm guessing you guys are going to have an event with them at some point. So I'm sure we'll meet them. Yeah, hold on. I may be getting yelled at.
Go ahead. You can take the next story. Today, Bentley Tobacco USA, the American subsidiary of the German company by the same name, will begin shipping a few new five-packs, while the five-packs of the Bentley Green and White Lines in Robusto 5x50 and Toro 6x52 contain cigars that are already for sale in the USA. 75x45 for both blends.
Both blends are made by Hoya de Nicaragua. The green uses an Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper over a blend of tobaccos from Jalapa, Nicaragua, while the Bentley White uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut seed wrapper over a blend of tobaccos from Condega and Jalapa, Nicaragua. Regardless of the blend, the short Corona is priced at... What do you got, Boots?
That is Phil McGuffin. What do you got, Phil McGuffin? Uh, let's go $8. Uh, ooh, more money, it's Bentley, I'm gonna say, uh, 14 bucks.
Ooh, 12. I win. Per singer. I know that you struggled.
Yeah, it was close. It wasn't, I was double, or you're double away. Yeah, but you went over. What's that?
You went over. Oh, the price is right, Bob! The price is wrong! Yeah!
Wow, we're only got 25 minutes in, huh? That's what I say, you're gonna have to figure this out. That's okay. All right, final story.
Next month, France-based accessory company Les Fines. Les Fines. Les Fines. Les Fines Lames.
Les Fines. Les Fines. Is it Fines? If it was Les Fines, it'd be a horrible name for a company.
Les Fines. Les? Le Ho-Ho. Le Ho-Ho.
It's a France company. Anyway, they're going to release a new version of its Le Tag T-135 cutter. This time, one that doubles as a money clip, the LaTag clip is made with the same double guillotine cigar cutter as the LaTag T-135, but the new product features the addition of a money clip built into the back of the cutter. Now this actually looks neat, I would carry this around.
" What is that paper? That metal thing, that's a funny looking thing, what is that? Does it come with the paper? That looks odd.
Because then you would, I mean, it would have to replace the thing, but if you could hook a lighter to it somehow, you know. It's a cutter, and, but then you gotta, you gotta. Cutter and a money clip. You gotta bust out your wad when you go to cut a cigar.
Oh, I guess you gotta point everybody to see that I don't have anything. What's that metal thing there? Oh, it's a money clip. Ah, where's the rest?
Where's the money? Where's the rest of it? I work in cigars. I didn't pay for this.
The cutter can cut cigars up to 90 ring gauge in both the clip and the cutter. 90. That big. Dear God.
Big ass. We're smoking a 90, first of all. Oh, that's happening. So how big is this money clip?
The hole on it's like this big? So the money clip is like a sheet of paper? A black hole? It looks a little different when you're in the pocket.
Both the clip and the cutter are made of surgical grade stainless steel. Of course it is. Of course it is. No rust, no grime.
It's fine. The blade handle on the cutter is available in five different color options, all with the same, how much, gentlemen? The cutter and the lighter? The cutter and the clip?
Cutter and the clip. The cutter with the clip on. It's from France. You're going to have to take the money off, I'm guessing, to cut the cigar.
Yeah, maybe. Okay, suddenly it seems like it's a pain in the eyes. Surgical steel. Yeah, what you got?
Let's go... You want to hear the color selections first? Yeah. Black, blue, champagne, OD green...
O-D, O-D, O-D-B, no, O-D-Gree, and Red. Well, the cutter portion of the tag clip is made, oh, okay, go ahead, now you can say the price. Okay, let's go 1,200. 1,200 dollars?
I'm gonna say 300 bucks. You think it's the Blue Company people? I'm gonna say 300 bucks. I don't know.
$120. 120. 120. 120, that's it?
I love it. You got the 12 part right. There's no way it's surgical steel. Surgical steel.
Dude, I love it. I love it. He always, like, what did he do with the samplers or four samplers? $250,000.
They only have to sell two of these. Yeah, that's it. You're trying to make $500,000. That's pretty epic.
Let's see. The cutter is made in France, but the clip is made in China. And then the two pieces are assembled at the company's offices in France. Always be ready so you never have to get ready.
The La Tag Clips carries forward the philosophy behind the company, the revolution in cigar accessories, said Fabian Kearnese. Aha. There's another Fabian. Different Fabian.
Ahead of digital marketing and a press release, our very day carry, oh every, sorry, our everyday carry cigar accessories are versatile and effortless to keep with you. Ah. The La Tag Clips will be available at retailers starting Monday, Friday, February 9th, according to the company, They will give third-party retailers a six-month window to sell the Eclipse before it adds it to its own website. Oh, so you can buy it from them.
Well, that's cool. Yeah, they give you six-month that's cool. When it says third-party retailers, what does that mean? Like, just retailers.
Oh. It means like us. So they're going to sell direct to consumer, but before they sell direct to consumer, they're going to give retailers the opportunity to... Are they going to sell it to the retailer for $120?
No. They sell it at wholesale. They're French. Oh, what does that mean?
It means they don't like us. Do you want one? I'll get you one. No, I don't want one.
You sure? Like you said, at first I've got to have money to put in it, and then I've got to take the money off every time I want to cut a cigar, and I still have to carry a lighter separately. I feel like it detaches. It's got to detach from the money clip.
Like, it's attached to the money clip, and then it detaches. Well, then you would lose it. What, like magnets? Yeah.
I don't think so. Yeah, because you can't put a screw in it. Why can't you? Well, because it would protrude, probably.
At the top, though. Because the money clip hangs down. I guess your camera died. Yeah.
The money clip hangs down over the hole. And this is the last story, so it's not like we're going to... Oh, we're going to keep it going, sweetheart. You slide the money between the money clip and the hole.
So, like, this is the clip part, this is the hole, and then you slide the money in between. Oh, yeah, I don't want one of those, I look weird. So you can put little screws at the top because they've got a color or something, I've got a little piece of something at the top. Okay.
I feel like I've seen a lighter before. You've seen a lighter? I'm sure you've seen a lighter before. Yeah?
Maybe. A lighter that has a money clip? Yeah, I feel like one time when we were at PCA, When we went over to Pete's little area, he was doing the lighters, I feel like we saw something like that. Well, I'm going to tell you something.
Look, here is lighter advice for cigars. Okay, so I have this beautiful Estee DuPont double torch and this cutter and it's in this beautiful leather case. I have no idea where it is. It's gone.
I haven't seen it. You've lost that thing. It's been missing for like six months. Oh, wow.
It's probably in your car that's in the shop. Maybe. Oh, it could be because it's been gone for six months. Yeah, that's also been gone for six months.
Here's what I'm going to tell you: I have about 30 of these just roaming around. Oh, those are great. I love those lighters. They're in my car.
They're on the patio. I keep them on my desk. They're everywhere. They're not expensive.
They carry a ton of fuel, and they're a single flame. And you can't kill them? I've seen them die. Oh, have you?
I have seen them. They, you know, it's few and far... You really have to try. It's few and far between, but this lighter is amazing, right?
Jet line has a lot of good brand products too, but I'm going to tell you this, this little guy right here, this knockoff that's got, that's filled with fuel and it's got like four fuel compartments in it. Yeah. I, I fill these up like once every month or two at, you know, at best, maybe, maybe even longer. It doesn't use a lot of fuel.
No, it's great. Yeah. It gets a single flame. Yeah.
So save your money by just buy a case of these one in the car, one in the shed, One in the garage, one in my bag, I mean they're, can't go wrong, I've heard stories of guys jumping in pools with that in their pocket and then they get out of the pool and light their cigar. I believe it. Simple, basic. Yeah, no moving parts, doesn't break.
It's perfect. Okay, this show brought to you by That Funny Little Lighter. We have no idea the name brand or where you get it from, but like this is the way to go. I think it's an eagle.
Is it an eagle? Yeah. A needle? Eagle.
Eagle. Yeah, I think they call it the eagle one. Cacau! Cacau, no, cacau, that's a crow.
Oh. That's a smaller version? Yes, smaller, smaller. Yeah, much smaller.
Black? Not as reliable. Not as reliable? There's no country built around a crow.
No, okay, got it. All right, time for the industry's favorite game. What's the score? Oh, my camera was black.
Bootsy's camera must have went off because he took the nose off. Yes, I said that already. Oh. Okay.
Oh, sorry. Yeah, your turn. I'm trying to stretch. Yeah, this is where you begin.
No, no. Here's what we're going to do. Yeah? We're going to do this for the one.
Okay. And then I'm going to look up two on Half Wheel, and you're going to play. Oh. Okay?
Since we got a little extra time. Okay. All right. January 20th, 2017, Patrick reviewed a Davidoff Dominican Republic limited edition 2017 Year of the Rooster.
Okay. Patrick, 2017, Davidoff Year of the Rooster. I had no word to even begin on this. We haven't done a Davidoff before.
Yeah. Your phone's going off again. You want me to go first? You want to?
You go. You go first. 89. Oh, he's got to look it up.
He's got his phone in his hands. He's looking it up. No, it was my wife. I just had to tell her I'm podcasting.
I love you more. I love you more. You hang up. Call Greg.
89, huh? Yep. You think he's that good, huh? No Davidoff?
It's just my guess. 80. Jeez. All right, so Davidoff, limited edition, 2017 year, the rooster from the Dominican Republic, from the Davidoff factory.
No, Davidoff's okay, right? Yeah. Rapper, Ecuadorian Habano Binder, Dominican Republic, San Vincent Maggioredo. 75 by 50, $40, they smoked 3.
I wasn't really paying attention. 89. It's $40? $40.
Yeah, it's Davidoff, it's an LE. What'd you say? 80. 80.
80. All right, number one, the year of the rooster is a striking, well-rolled perfecto with a clean construction, crisp burn line, and an ash that holds impressively past an inch. The draw performs well, despite the narrow openings showing solid craftsmanship. Yeah, it's a Davidoff.
Um, 89. Oh, there he goes with the phone again. He had to check the score again. Yeah.
Yeah. Uh, 80. Didn't get to it all the time. " Listen, I need to know whether Year of the Rooster 2017 and Patrick on Heffo.
I have to tell them that you are texting me. The time is limited. Ex-nay, don't send pictures right now. Clue number two, the flavor profile opens with a surprising burst of pepper before settling into wood, mixed nuts, subtle creaminess, delivering a classic Dominican character with moments of balance and refinement, especially through the retrohale.
Ooh, a couple of positives there. Hmm. Still, I'm gonna hold at 89. Tia, do I go to 90?
Do I move it up, Tia? Or do I go to 87? 80? 80?
Still 80. Oh, I thought you said 89 before. No, you said 89. Oh, you said 89.
No, somebody did. So, you're still at 89? Yeah. Alright, final clue, then there is a final thought.
This is the final clue? Is it the final clue? There's only two clues? There's three.
This is the third clue. You've already had two. Oh, really? You don't pay attention.
No, you're right. You're not even really here. Who are you? Phil MacGuffin.
No, that's Phil MacGuffin. Not right now. He took the nose off. Oh, it's Boots.
In the latter half, some samples develop sour, chalky nose and uneven combustion that require relights, with the final third occasionally overshooting the blend's ideal balance and becoming more aggressive than intended. Aha! See, that's good. Through the floor.
It showed itself. I'm going to roll with, I'm going to come down. 86. It's aggressive.
It's very aggressive. 80. More aggressive than it intended. Okay.
All right. Final thought. This cigar is garbage. The flavors of the year of the rooster are enjoyable, but other than, other than the pepper that can be quite tingling on the nose, few stood out and pushed the cigar up to the next level of complexity.
Sadly, the second cigar was nearly ruined by the pervasive sour note that came out of it And as such, the overall score lost several points. But the part that stands out about the Year of the Rooster was that it never quite seemed to hit its mark, or at least a mark that would have better resonated with me. Hopefully, time helps smooth over the rough spots and allows the Year of the Rooster to do better to show off its blend. This is a tough one.
I'm going to go 84. 83. 78. Holy moly.
I figured this would be bad. Lowest scoring Davidoff on the page. Wow. And who was that?
Patrick? Patrick. Patrick. He's usually like, he's usually nice.
He's usually higher. Most of them are in the high 80s, low 90s, except this dog stuck out at 78s, like, oh. Yeah, even if it's a turd, like, he'll usually put it in the 80s, even if it's like an 80 or 81. Yep.
Okay. Hmm. Let's see, we're gonna go boom right here. Boom right here.
To January 2nd, 2017, Oliva, Siri V, Diadema. By Charlie Manato. Delicious stick. But it's probably gonna taste like teriyaki.
The 2012. I'll go first since you're the newcomer. Yeah, you go first. That's right.
Let's go 90. Ooh. 85. Okay.
Palmer looks at these all day, by the way. All right. Let's see here. That's the O's, so I believe that's on page 11, I believe.
, Wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown, Binder, Nicaragua, Filler, Nicaragua, Length, 9 inches, Gauge, 52, Vitola, Diadema, MSRP, 15 Euros, I don't have Freedom Dollars here. Uh-oh. It's less than that. Release date, November 2012, 400 boxes of 10, totaling 4,000 cigars made.
The number of cigars smoked for the Redux? Oh, it's a Redux. One. It didn't say it in the title.
Okay? Is this a smaller one? The Medina? It's skinnier.
I just told you the dimensions. Oh, I'm sorry. Nine by 52. Okay.
So it's not that skinny. Yeah, I'm going to stick a 90. 90? You're going to stick a 90?
Yeah. I'm going to go, did I say 85 the first time? Yeah. I'm going to stick a 85.
The gigantic Siri V starts with some roasted coffee and toasty notes. Didn't you say it was a 9 by whatever? 9 by 52. You said gigantic.
It's 9 by 52, that's pretty big. That's 9 inches long. Oh. There's not a ton of smoke initially.
He's not even seen anything 9 inches long. I need you to listen. I need you to focus, okay? My eyes are right here.
Oh, okay. Okay, I'm going to start over now. Let's start over now. Are you guys done?
Not completely. Are you done? You all the time say you didn't listen to me when I say something. Wait, is that the third clue?
You literally slept in the chair, Mikey. I'm more important. Listen, if it's a heavy leg day, I'm exhausted. The gigantic Siri V starts with some roasted coffee and toasty notes.
There's not a ton of smoke initially, something I'm not too concerned with given the small opening at the bottom of the cigar. Fortunately, things change pretty quick, and the first third is fairly vibrant with some white bread and burnt barbecue. Oh, he's eating barbecue today. Is it teriyaki barbecue?
There's no teriyaki in there. Just give the answer before he yells at us again. No, we got time. You know what?
Charlie likes teriyaki. I'm going to go down since it's barbecue. I'm going to go to 88. Oh.
88, okay. I'm going up to 87. Ooh. Oh, you think he likes the barbecue?
I think he likes the barbecue. Just like that, we got tight, very tight. Okay, the Retro Hale has some fresh almonds, nutmeg, and some, oh God. Please say teriyaki.
Limoncello? Oh, limoncello. Oh, he's fancy today. He's fancy.
He's got a nice little, nice little palate cleanser between them. I have no idea what that is. Limoncello? It's like a little sorbet.
It's an Italian apari for whatever they say at the end of the meal to clean your palate. Oh. Well, 90 minutes in, and there's an added floral flavor joining a roasted coffee, burnt cedar, harsh raspberries, and some meats. Mmm, teriyaki meats.
Wait, what kind of meat? Teriyaki. I need more specifics. Teriyaki.
Okay, next. Oh, that's it? That's all I'm giving you. Please stop it.
Because I like the next sentence. Oh, please, say teriyaki. You know what, I'll add it to this one for you. At around three inches, complexity shows signs of falling off.
Uh-oh. Now go! Mm. Uh-oh.
See, I told you you liked the teriyaki. It could be teriyaki barbecue. 86. Ooh, big drop.
Wow. I'm going back to 85. Okay, third clue. Third clue.
The draw starts a bit tight, but it opens up once the nipple has been burned. After that, it's pretty much smooth sailing. Is this a good, wait, hold on. Is there really, there is not a part of the cigar that's called the nipple?
He burned his nipple? There were two touch-ups throughout the three and a half hours worth of smoking, which is more than acceptable as far as I'm concerned, given the length. Oh, that was okay. Strength is never aggressive, more of a medium full thud rather than a sharp punch, but that doesn't mean I don't feel it.
By the midway point, I can detect it having some effect, though it's certainly a bit milder than I expected. Yeah, because the teriyaki's punching. We still have final thoughts, right? Yeah, there's still final thoughts.
Okay, good, thank you very much. You know what, you can ask me as many questions as well, Palmer, I won't get, I'm not going to get upset about it. You already yelled at us! Because you over-talked me, that's different.
We weren't paying attention, he said. Yeah, lock in. Alright, let's go ahead, you're at 86, I'm at 85. I'm going to still get 86.
I'm going to go to 87. Okay, final thought. The Oliva Ciri V is a non-diadema form has been one of my favorite cigars. This is just a gigantic Ciri V, and after a few years, it's aged extremely well.
I originally wrote that it held up well, but after looking at the original review, it seems clear I was missing the typical Ciri V experience when these were fresh. This time, the sweet and earthy mixture was more than present, as well as the typical Ciri V nicotine effect. If there was, if there were, if these were regularly available, it would be a tough choice between this and my go-to regular Ciri V, the Churchill Extra, as both provide the core Ciri V flavors with a fair bit of complexity. Well, I liked it.
You know, I was thinking of Charlie more of a Pennantella, not a Churchill. Uh, but. That's why he's got to review the category of the Patastrophic Failure in the Churchill format. If we stand a chance this upcoming year of ranking, it's got to be the Churchill.
We should send them to it, but don't let them buy it. He won't let you. He can't do that, yeah. Yeah.
Man, now you've read it as a 180. 89. What are you making a face and you're hugging your leg? 89.
Mr. Palmer? Ooh, that's a good score for Boots to say. I'll go 90.
You'll go 90? Yeah. And the answer is... 91.
Oh! Mr. Palmer, you have won round one against Boots. Okay, let's find another one here.
I'm really... That was tough, but I really didn't want to go to 90. I'm really surprised Charlie liked that, because there's no teriyaki anything in that. And barbecue, I tell you, he likes barbecue.
I guess it's kind of close, I mean, same color. It could have been teriyaki barbecue sauce. Oh, it could have been, yeah. I was going to go 89.
When you went 89, I was a little put off. Yeah, I didn't think it was going to be a 90 because he was saying some bad things, but maybe the limoncello and the barbecue. And he likes the limoncello. And a nice little Italian barbecue dinner that night.
Right, super fancy. Super fancy. Super fancy. Yeah, I wouldn't even know what limoncello tastes like.
I've never tasted it. No. I've seen it. We have a small bottle in our fridge somebody gave Adrian for Christmas, but we're never going to drink that.
Except now when I get home, I might taste it. Trying to get another cigar here. I want Upsetters, and it's not in there. They haven't reviewed one of those, I think.
That would be on page 13. Trying to think off the cuff here. Let's see. Where do I want to go?
Like, I walk into the humidor mentally, and I'm like, okay, let's see. Oh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. I like the oohs. Those are good.
I'm sorry, hold on. My wife is calling. Yes, hello? Are you podcasting?
Are you podcasting? I don't care that you're podcasting. Here's another March 9th, 2016, Charlie Monado review, The Fable, 4th Prime, Mersenne. Oh.
Farmer goes first. You've seen this one? I've seen this one. Really?
Yeah. Okay, give me a guess real quick. I believe it's in the mid to high 80s. Okay, I'll find another one.
I appreciate your honesty. He didn't say a lot of nice things. I thought it was bad to, you know, to badmouth somebody, one of our own. Well, that blend's gone now, and now it's a new blend, so it's from a new factory.
It's a new factory, but the blends are supposed to be the same. Thank you for not saying, Bag and Palmer. '89's not bad, but we can get crucified at '82, and we throw that out there? Yeah, but we said it ourselves about ourselves.
Listen, no one is safe. I got news for you. for you um okay i'm gonna go is there a mirror foul on there uh yeah there are miracles in there have you seen those before i couldn't tell you what they were i didn't read them i just saw the name we're gonna go i try to keep it to cigars i can say the name of so you don't get crucified on this right exactly sometimes i look and see what the factory name is too see if i can say that Okay. This is a good one.
April 5th, 2023, Brooks Whittington, High Clare Castle, Senager. Oh. Oh, the Senager. Yes.
That's the expensive one. Yes. Okay. This is the one that comes in the coffin?
Mr. Palmer. Yes. Okay.
Um, 87. Okay. I don't think it was a good cigar, so I'll go 82. J.
Fernandez, Cigars de Nicaragua, SA, Wrapper, Ecuador & Habano, Binder, Brazilian Manafina, Filler, Undisclosed, Length, 6 3/4 inches, Ring Gauge, 52, Vitola, Perfecto, MSRP, The $33 number of cigars released, 2,800 boxes of 12, 33,600 cigars total. Cigars reviewed, 3. That's an expensive ticket there. Oh, it's me first, sorry.
Yeah, yeah, you first. 87. 82. That's fast.
Okay. The combination of an interesting Vitola, unique band, and gorgeous milk chocolate wrapper That silky smooth wrapper also has a reddish tint to it and features an abundance of oil as well as multiple veins and bumps that are noticeable but not overly distracting. A physical inspection reveals that one cigar has a large soft spot located just above the foot, but the other two cigars are fine in that regard. And all three cigars are nicely firm when squeezed.
God, that was such a... 88. I feel like you were describing a bad porn there. That whole line there.
That was just horrible. Okay. You went up? Yeah, I went up.
For it being soft? He said all nice things. Ooh, this works out so well. I can't wait to read the next description.
82. How does a phone call come in on the iPad? On the iPad. It just flashed that there was a call coming in, but nothing on my phone.
I have no idea. It's weird. Okay. Clue number two.
Clue number two. It takes a bit of time to get a decent draw from the nipple foot of the Ceniger. More nipples. More nipples.
Not unusual at all for cigars rolled with this type of ventola. But as the draw opens up, the flavors start emerging. Creamy cedar and rich roasted coffee beans led the way, followed by dark chocolate, peanuts, nutmeg, Matt Meg, Dry Oatmeal, Leather Track, oh God, and Anise? Yeah, say good luck.
Anise? It's a spice. Anise. Anise?
And anise. There's a small amount of black pepper on the RetroHill, but the main note is a honeycomb sweetness that really combines nicely with the creaminess of this profile as a whole. We must have smoked two different cigars. Honeycomb.
Palmer? Oh, sorry, me again. I'll stick at 88. 82.
Okay, 88, 82. Final clue. Third clue, and then we have... Final thoughts.
Final thoughts. The main flavors in the profile of the cigar shift to a combination of salted peanuts and raspberry sweetness during the second third, with secondary notes of creamy cedar, powdery cocoa nibs. There it is. There it is.
Powdery, Cocoa Nibs, Earth, Dry Hay, and Nutmeg showing up at various points. There is also a bit more black pepper present on Retro Hill, but the amount of honeycomb sweetness stays the same. Flavor increases to medium plus while the body stays put as solid medium, but the strength manages to break past the medium mark by the time the second third comes to an end. Construction-wise, the draw and smoke production continue long their excellent paths for all three cigars, and while two of the three have no issues with their burns, one cigar runs into enough of a problem that it needs to be corrected with my lighter, albeit just once.
Oh, God. Mr. Palmer, for the third clue, we would like to hear your number. Oh, there's still a final thought, right?
That's correct. There is a final thought. Thank you for asking, because I want you to stay on track. 89.
89. Yeah, the Coco Nibs came out, so. 90. Coco Nibs dropped.
Yeah. Ooh, and in a stunning move on the third clue, Boots has now emerged above Mr. Palmer at a 90. He tried to suck me down.
The 82. Okay. I didn't say off, I said down. Refer from the sucking down, please.
And now the final thought. Final thought. The first time I saw the box that the Highclere Castle Senager was packaged in, I knew I wanted to smoke it. I wanted to smoke it.
Sure, there is rarely a correlation between how unique the packaging is and how good the cigar inside said packaging tastes, but what I ended up finding was a blend that hits on virtually all levels. That includes the profile, which is quite complex, quite complex, and features many changes throughout, including main flavors that switch from cedar and coffee beans in that first third to a combination of salted peanuts and sweet raspberries in the last two thirds. Not to be outdone, the Retro Hail consistently features distinct honey sweetness and just enough black pepper to keep things interesting. In fact, just about the only issue I had with the Senager was some cracks in the wrapper on one of the cigars I smoked.
And to be fair, that corrected itself with no help from me fairly quickly. In the end, the Senager is one of those releases where the packaging, Vitola Choice, and the blend each brings something to the table And combine to create an excellent creation in just about every aspect. Mr. Palmer.
Excellent job, Reed. Thank you. Excellent, excellent job. Like telling a story.
It was like watching a movie. That was great. Excellent job. It's probably going to be in '81, but the way he read it was great.
I'll always deliver. I'll always deliver, Palmer. I'll always deliver. So what say you, Mr.
P.? I'm thinking. What was Boots' last score? 90.
I mean, it really doesn't matter. He can say what he wants this time. Correct. I'm going to go 91.
It's a good number. It's a good number. And where are you at, Mr. Boots?
I'm going to go 92, because it sounded like this guy was fucking loving this thing. So you go slightly above Mr. Palmer. You believe that it is higher than a 91.
Is that correct? He's not trying to, he's not trying to help, so don't think he's trying to help. Yeah, I got silent above. Confirmed 92.
We have a winner, and it is Boots! Yes! With a 92, as the rating was a 92! Yes!
The nail! I hit the nail. Congratulations, congratulations. However...
Trick was to go high enough where he wouldn't want to go higher. Correct, you didn't go high enough. Yeah. You had to push it, you had to push to 92.
Yeah. If you had to push to 92, he wasn't going 93. I thought that was too much. Yeah, I wouldn't go, I would have probably gone 91.
Yeah. You gotta know your enemy. But this guy was like all over this thing, like it was like a blonde, you know, woman. When you hear Coco Nibs from Brooks, you instinctively know it's, it's, this is gonna rank, this is gonna rank, high heart Coco Nibs.
You know, in the beginning of the nipple thing threw me off again, these guys with this nipple in, so I don't know what's wrong with them. Different years, but we hit all nipple cigars today. You hear nipples and you get all funny. He gets all excited, he doesn't know what to do.
He's got the old man getting a blowjob on the bus, and then we're done on nipples. There's so much going on here. Such a good day for Boots. Okay, anything else to add?
Just I won for the day, that's it. You actually did win for the day, congratulations. Oh, because he beat you too. Well, he nailed you on one, so he beat you, and you beat me as well, right?
No, you were closer. Oh, so I beat you, you lost to Palmer. I won to Palmer, I lost to you. you yes okay all right you wouldn't have advanced to palmer just for the record if i if this was like a tournament style yes you would have been done and it would have been me versus palmer yeah totally different equation um why don't can we get uh like patrick on the uh to read his stuff how funny would that be yeah i'll get one of them to where we would put it up yeah that would be epic it would be yeah maybe we'll see all right okay uh i guess that's it that's it so we got It's episode 455.
