Transcript
And 3, 2, 1, Action! Welcome to Cigar Hustler Podcast, Episode 508. I'm Mike Palmer, We're your hosts. And on today's show, we have Phil.
Can't believe I had this week off from the show, and no movie shoots lined up. Quick, somebody call my agent, McGuffey. And my co-host today, Mikey, Mom called me all morning, says Greg should be on the show more often, Shtepankevich. That's a lie.
She doesn't call me. Oh, and text? Did she text you? Yeah, she does those weird texts where it's voice-to-text, so it's a whole page.
It's all messed up. So, well, it's like, hi, sweetheart, and then she starts and goes on this whole - Hello, sweetheart, it's me, your mother - Yeah, she goes on this whole thing - Is Greg there? She goes on this large diatribe and no one reads, it's too many words. It's too much.
I have to put it into AI to summarize. Please summarize my mother's ramblings. I don't want to read it either, it says. We're podcasting.
You're always podcasting. When are you ever not fucking podcasting? Yeah, there you go. I used to have a friend, his name was Mike.
No longer fucking exists. I don't know what fucking Palmer these other guys did to my friend. Lisa's not your mother. He's not my friend.
Or your wife. No, he does it to us. He does it to us. We're at his schedule.
You are not the same as me. Do it again. No, no, no, no. Yeah, there it is.
No, no, no, no, no. There you go. Hit the off button. Hang up.
We are not the same. We're close. We're close. I will say that.
You know what? I'm sleeping with him this week, not you. Mike and I have talked about six times this week already. Yeah.
Every night. So you gotta call him when he's out on his patio at like 10 or 11 o'clock at night. I did call him at any time. Oh, Skip's here too.
Yeah, you gotta time it better. You gotta time it better. Do better, Michael. I mean...
Well, hang on a second, 'cause that was the purpose of my call, 'cause you showed up on one of my list, and you're making me look bad in front of Skip, and I don't like this. When I started doing face-to-face bro calls with Mike, he started answering more often. That's it, yeah. That's it.
Okay, all right. I'll do better. I'll work on that. I'll call you back.
Great. Bye, guys. Okay. -Como Craft.
-Yeah. 3 grams. -We're not at that part yet. -Alright.
-Sorry. -Are we even at hello? -Hi! -Are we starting over?
Are we keeping that in? -No, keep that in. You just gotta, might have to chirp some little F and F and F and F and F's out, 'cause there's a lot there. -Oh, was there a lot of F?
-Yeah. -It's very disgruntled. -On today's show, we have a lot of F's. There was an arrest made in the fireworks explosion from last summer.
We're all going to be painting in Washington. Florida has more of these in any other state in the union. Then in cigars, we have a price increase, a portal entry, and a new cigar. And then we end the show with a what's the score.
And a new cigar? Kind of? Like, just left that out like that? And a new cigar.
Oh. Okay. And then before ending the show, we have a what's the score. We have a what's the score with no sparklers.
No sparklers. As we don't have the powder. But first, Mikey, how do we get some of that CHPod swag? com, where you can get this beautiful Master Blender T-shirt.
I've been replaced by an appliance. You've been replaced by a ninja appliance. Oh, like a Canadian ninja. Yep, buy one, get the second one, 40% off, spend $100 or more, and get free shipping.
Shout out to my guys. Wait, how do you know it's Canadian? It was a joke. Oh.
I thought there was some marking on it that made it Canadian, like it was something you actually did. No. Shout out to my guys, John Lovell. John Lovell.
Our guys, John Lovell. And, from Cigar Vault, Oakdale, Norman Joseph. He's back. He can be guilted into a purchase.

Michael. 3 grams. And I think that I have covered everything at this point, and I'm excited to get into the show. Let's go.
Are you excited to get into the comments? Oh, I guess. Well, there wasn't any comments on today's show yet. Well, there's comments on over the weekend, or are those on shorts?
You know what? I'm just excited. I'm just very excited. Some guy did a long one on a short.
Yeah, something about if you're gonna post a clip. Yeah, how did I see this? It has nothing to do with me. I don't like it.
He said, hey, he said, if you're gonna post a clip, you should have some context. I'm like, well, you know, maybe you should go to the show and get the context. Rooks Coating, a guy, Rooks Coatings, said: "I watch a podcast every morning around 8:30 to 9:00. " Ben Rowland, Preston's calling me.
I declined it. Just so you know. They're in a fight. Uh-oh.
Oh, jeez. " That's what I'm picturing, too. That'd be nice. T-Money says: "I stop watching if Mikey doesn't read my comment on the air.
Yes, Palmer is still on the list. " There you go. If you like hearing your comment read out loud on our podcast, comment below and we may read it out. Oh, he'll read it.
He reads them all. I don't read them all. No, I don't. No, I don't.
Stop saying that. That's not true. It's a lie. Don't lie to our people.
Don't lie to our people. Are you okay? Okay, this is ridiculous. All right.
You got rid of the microphone now, you can't hear me. Well, now I'm ready. Now it looks like we have a bug on our shirts. You know, the other thing that drove me nuts was...
What? Yes? I felt like Greg had to relight his cigar 75,000 times on the last podcast. Probably.
And it was like right on the mic. On the microphone? Yeah. It's like having two fills.
Well, yeah, I'll give you that. All right, you guys remember the fireworks place that exploded last summer? Yes. It was a big story?
Yeah. Huge story. Well, there's been a massive criminal case, and a total of eight people are facing 30 charges, including murder, conspiracy, and illegal weapons violations. The explosion killed seven people and injured two others, turning what should have been a routine storage into a catastrophic event.
Ooh! So the president of the company, he got arrested the other day at Disney. Oh, he was seeing the mouse. He was in Florida, seeing the mouse, and they took him in front of Space Mountain.
Was it in Florida? Was the fireworks in Florida? No, it was like South Carolina or something. Oh, okay.
But he was here on vacation. Was he like this? But the feds came looking for him. They won't get me in Florida.
They can't, like it's a non-extradition state or something like that. Right. Well, they're waiting for extradition back to California. Oh, it's in California, apparently, then.
I love how they made him spend all this money to go to Disney, and then took him away while he was there. Yeah, wait till he gets inside. Yeah. As soon as he hits the teacups, we break him.
Right. Get him when he gets off, he'll be dizzy, he can't run. Let him buy a couple turkey legs, let him spend the $200, hold on. Feed his family of seven.
So, the fireworks that exploded weren't really fireworks. Oh, no. They were essentially explosive devices that exceeded the legal limits. Okay.
Oh, that's, that's really bad. Right, so they were, the whole fireworks thing was a front. Really? Yes.
So you potentially, so what you're trying, what you're saying? Allegedly. Allegedly, is that he didn't really have fireworks, he had explosives? " Because of the terminology of it has X amount of gunpowder?
Right. But it was still fireworks. Well, it's a four-letter word. You can't call it fireworks.
It was a real deal. It ends with a B. Yeah. It ends with a B.
Really? Has an O and M in the middle, maybe. Really? Yes.
Used a lot of, not here. Interesting. Key company figures including operations manager Jack Lee, license holder Gary Chan, a bunch of Asians, and are facing murder charges, Yolo County Sheriff's Lieutenant Samuel Machado. Did you say Yolo?
Yeah, Yolo County. I don't think it's you only live whatever it is. I don't think that's what it means. You only live once, County?
I don't think that's what it means. He owned the warehouse and he's being charged with murder too. Okay. Part of the police department.
Oh wow. Conspiracy. So Machado's wife. He's part of the police department?
Yeah, he said he was a deputy. Wow. Lieutenant Samuel Machado. Who did they kill?
Seven people that worked there. I don't have their names. You wouldn't know who they were anyway. Say their names.
No? Okay. Bob, Steve, Mark, Tom, Timothy, Walter, and Machado. Say it again.
I only had, I just erased. No, I'll say it again. Bob, go ahead, Bob. I feel like the names would be different.
It's right on the street. Machado's wife, Tammy, she was also arrested. Yeah. Oh, Tammy.
She got released on bail. Couldn't blame Tammy. One of the suspects, Douglas Tolfeson, he's been charged with murder, but he hasn't been arrested because they can't find him. He's on the run.
He's on the lam. He hid in Space Mountain. He did, well, he wasn't there. He's not part of the, the owner's last name is Chen, so, I mean.
Yeah? Like I-N or E-N? What does that mean? E-N.
What does that mean? Means he's Asian also. This is a big Asian bomb front thing. It's like a Yakuza thing or something.
Oh yeah, that'd be Japanese, Chen I think is more Chinese. Yeah, you're probably right. So there's also been a firefighter implicated in it. Is there a Chinese Mafia?
Of course there is. Of course there is. What are they called? Chinese Mafia.
That's it? Well, you want to hear it in Chinese? Ungabanga. That's what they sound like?
Yes. That's the name of them? Yes. Well, it's like the Ming's or whatever.
Craig Cutray. The what? Isn't it like the Ming's or something? The Ming's?
Yeah, it's the Ming's over there, Phil, it's the Ming's. I thought that was the Mafia name. No. Or Yakuzaunos?
Yeah, Yakuzaunos. Right, so Yakuzaun and Yakuzaunos. There are several widely known Chinese organized crime groups. The Triads.
Triads, yes, from Rush Hour. Oh, the Triads. I think that's the big one, I'm gonna stop right there. Yeah, let's not name all these people and get them mad at us.
No. That would be bad. They're affiliated with us? I'm not saying anything.
Yeah? Other than the facts I have here from the internet. Oh, those aren't really facts. Craig Cutwright, volunteer firefighter, he was arrested.
And tried. Alleged. Allegedly. What was his last name?
Mr. Cutwright. Mr. Cutwright.
Yeah, he's definitely not tried. He's vaguely related to the Cartwrights. Right. From Bonanza.
Oh. Okay. Wow, Palmer. I gotta link it up somewhere.
Yeah. You guys would be more excited. I want to talk about all these people that got arrested. We don't know what the answer is.
That's funny. You thought that this was going to go like... I thought it would go better than this. It was a big story.
Interesting. We covered the original story. Yeah. He wants us to engage in the making fun of the Chins.
No, no, no. You don't make fun of these people. They could be the Chinese mafia. Yeah, you don't want to make fun of the triads.
Why would it be funny, then? The story. There's like 13 people that are being arrested for the thing that exploded. It's like Peaky Blinders stuff.
Right. I love this. " Well, this will get a conversation. This is gonna be great.
Well, not great, but get a conversation going. And then when it doesn't happen, you're really just disappointed. I am disappointed. I think it happens a little differently.
I think he's sitting at home with his wife and he sees the stories like, "ooh, ooh, ooh," and he gets up and runs over to her. He runs over to her, and he's like, "Look at this one. " I don't show her any of these, 'cause she wouldn't care less. " Oh, yeah, yeah.
Oh, they're gonna love this. Okay, you guys do the next one. You're right. You're right, it struck up the conversation.
I got news for you. What? If you want to make comments about me when I'm away, I'm happy to make comments about you while I'm here. What?
Oh, God, go watch the last... Go watch the last... I don't watch the last episode. Wait, what does it say?
I don't watch the show, I lived it. Well, I watched the show, because I didn't live it, and don't think that I haven't forgotten about you, my friend, Mr. Upstairs, during the memorial. Yeah, exactly.
Well, I mean, you wore the shirt, what does it mean? You are not safe. What, did you make fun of his stripper shirt? See?
See? How is it a stripper shirt? I called it a Zoolander shirt. It looked very nice, Michael.
It's the one collar shirt I have. It looked very nice. What's wrong with it? with it it was super tight super ribbed it was super tight ribbed yeah ribbed for his pleasure for my pleasure yeah don't walk too fast there's someone i feel better now don't walk too fast there's someone okay that's great it's very shiny too i like it's very shiny yeah i love it i actually i actually hate it i actually do like it but i i'm so confused he's so torn we gotta get you The new shirt.
You know what it is? I got to get you to wear it on the show. I don't like anything that's that bad. I don't like anything that's really tight.
It is a little tight. You must have gotten it when you were smaller. Because I remember seeing it on you before. It was a gift.
Well, I know it was a gift. I've seen it before. Yeah, you've worn it before. No, I mean, I'm not.
What do you mean? I've seen you wear it. No, I'm not. I don't know what you don't understand.
I'm probably the smallest. Well, maybe I'm a little up. Well, maybe it shrank in the wash. Did you shrink in the wash?
No, it didn't shrink. Maybe it's the shirt off his back. So it's a little too snug is what you're saying? It's a little snug.
It's a little too snug? A little bit. A little bit. Yeah.
I'm just going to leave it at that. Adrian was concerned you were going to have any blood in your hands. Yeah. Because it's a little tight on the arms.
A little tight. I didn't know if you were going to break out the bachata or what was going on. Bachata? What's a bachata?
Is that a dance? Yeah, it's a Spanish dance. Did you get that from your new assistant? Yeah.
Did you get that from your new assistant? Pachatas in the Morning with Rosita? Pachatas in the Morning. Okay, Mr.
Boo, we do the pachata this morning, and she's dancing around the office. The only thing I can think of is bad boys right now when he did that. Mr. Mike!
I bring you the Dorito, okay, we do the pachata. I make you at least the guy. I'm supposed to talk to your therapist, Mike. Not to sleep with him.
" The l'espresso? Is it cinnamon? Hello, Mr. Boot.
Is that a boot? You look great. Very tight shirt. This is lovely.
C. That's at least seven billion dollars. He wants to cover the entire White House office building. It's right next door.
Yeah? Please be gold. No, with magic paint. Oh, so people can write on it?
No, so they can't write on it. That's why it's magic. They have not done anything to this building since it was originally built. It looks terrible.
It's got stains on it. It's gray. It was decrepit. It's a decrepit building.
It's white marble. Here to save it. So, but he needs special permission to use magic paint to make the Eisenhower Executive Office building bright white forever. Forever.
But it may damage the marble. Ah. So, experts are warning that the paint could damage the historic, oh, granite, sorry, exterior, and preservationist groups have filed a lawsuit to stop the renovation. I didn't.
It's an historical building. This is wild. You can't paint for granted. Nobody visits this?
It's an actual office building where a lot of the offices from the White House, that's where people have their offices. This is where they go? Yeah, they're not allowed to work in the White House. Oh.
Their offices are in the building next door. They're outside. Yeah, which apparently they pay no attention to how this building looks. No security, nothing.
Well, I don't know. I imagine it would be something. And he wants it painted? He wants it painted with magic paint.
This is what we're talking about now? This is what we're talking about now? Why are you saying magic paint? Because that's what he calls it.
In his speech, he calls it magic paint. Magic. Because it doesn't fade. It's magic paint.
But he doesn't say it's special paint doesn't fade. Oh, he got. He calls it magic paint. He got slayed over the salesman.
It's magic, it never fades. Right. This is emperor's new clothes all over again. Right.
You're gonna look great in it. It would be great, it's magic. You paint the building, always white, always white, from now on. You can't see it.
You mean it's magic? Yes, yes, magic. - Five million dollars in my bank account right now. - Yeah.
Check this out. Oh, what's that behind your ear? Whoa! - Oh, it's magic paint!
Look at this! - It's magic paint. - This guy's great, let's have him at the White House again. - Maybe we can paint the ballroom this color too.
- Yeah, I love it. - That's great. Everything. We're gonna paint the whole city magic paint.
- Sir, why does the building look the same after you paint it? - Because your eyes can only see through this magic paint. - Yes. - Everybody else sees the white.
- Only my supporters can see. The white. No, it's white. This was too close to the cigar industry.
Do not say the name. Oh, yeah. Do not do it. What?
You know, Boots knows exactly what I'm talking about. I know where he's going. Don't you dare. Oh, with the magic paint?
Yes. Oh. With the foolery. Yeah, okay, no worries.
Okay. Thank you for five million. I was reading. Yeah.
Oh, so Trump's been talking about it, for instance, November of 2025, that he would like That's not that long, he's really hanging on. Yeah, he's dragging on. You know, hey, Strait of Hormuz, I want to talk about this painting, this building. Yeah, I'm over the Strait of Hormuz thing, can we move on?
Yeah, like, listen, we're going to blockade now, we're going to blockade, and look, look, this building over here, I need painted with magic paint. Do you hear the problem now in the Strait of Hormuz? No, what's going on? They don't remember where they put all the mines.
Who? The, uh, Iranians. Stop it. Oh, that's what I remember.
They don't have no technology on the ones that they put out. Who has the piece of paper with the mine locations? Who has this? Frank, come here.
Frank, Frank, you had the paper. Where are you? I don't have it, Boos. Is that upside down?
I can't tell. I don't know either. Oh, this direction to my house. Sorry.
This is to Alibaba's house. I don't know where I'm going now. Oh, Alibaba? Can't they just put some people in the little underwater scooter things and just praise Allah into all these things?
You know what I mean? You'll get your virgins this way, here you go, come on! It's for the country or whatever. Just drive in.
It makes sense. Here's what we gotta do, we got 12 here. There's 11 out there, one of you are gonna return. They probably don't know how many of them they have.
Yeah, oh my goodness. We're gonna blindfold all of you, so that way you don't know who it is. If that's true, that's terrible. Like, how do you, like, what?
I have no idea where the mines are. We don't know. Well, see, here's the problem. We didn't write it down.
We didn't think that we would get to peace. a piece. Yeah, we didn't plan on winning or even a tie. Yeah, just working things out.
It could be like Looney Tunes. They're all really tiny Iranians and then you got the Chicken Little big guy. Or there isn't mines at all. Oh, is that it?
Oh, maybe. Yes, there are lots of mines. There's so many mines. I feel like These are not the mines you're looking for.
I feel like the Navy has a minesweeper over there, though. Yeah, we can clean this up real quick? No, no, no. It's a ship.
Yeah, kind of. I mean, but the ship can detect. Yeah. Well, yeah.
Does it blow them up or then somebody has to go down and cut it loose or whatever? What's the plan on the aircraft? I don't know. What's the plan on the aircraft?
How does it work, Navy boy? Yeah, how does it work, Navy boy? Lots of different planes. How does the minesweeper work, Navy boy?
Many planes. I don't know exactly how that works. I just know that there's one. He wasn't on that boat either.
He doesn't like boats. You know who would know this? Ben Rowling. The guy on the minesweeper.
No, Skip would know this. Skip would know this. Oh, submarines. He's a mine expert.
Nuclear subs? Yeah. Okay. - Alright, so we're painting the White House.
Got it. Or not the White House. - And there's mines in the Strait of Hormuz and we don't know where they are. - Well, we didn't put them there.
- Yeah. - Yeah, the other guys don't know where they are. - There's no amount on this? - How many mines?
- No, the paint. - Oh, dollar price? No, there was no dollar mentioned. - Oh, okay.
- Maybe it's donated, I don't know. - No, no, they keep that dark until it happens and then they blow that up. That's how that works. You're not going to believe how much you spend on painting this building.
- It was magic because it was so expensive. - Yeah. - Yeah, exactly. - Get in cover, shoot, stuff.
- Right. - I don't know if we can say that word either. - Oh. - Okay.
- All right, this past Friday, Governor Ron DeSantis signed a law. - Whoa! - What did he sign a law to do? Who wants to guess?
This is what now, this is something that we have more than anybody else in the country. - Kill the alligators. - Phil, you want to try something reasonable? - He allowed more Cubans in.
- No, wet foot, dry foot's back in effect. - Oh. - No, he signed a law bringing five new specialty plates to the plate, to the state, sorry. - I'm sorry, what?
- To the plate to the plate? - Specially licensed plates. - Oh, so we can't, so we don't have the most alligators? - No, well, we do, but we also have the most vanity plates.
Not vanity plates, the plates you can get. - Licensed plates? - Yeah. - Vanity plates?
- They already offer more plates than any other state. So there's five new ones. - Okay. - But there's a catch.
- All right. - All right, here's the five new ones. There is a UFC one. - Ooh.
- Only if you're going to the White House. There is one for Miami Northwestern Alumni Association, Outsider, which is the Huber Brothers Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing public spaces throughout the state. Because these organizations get money from the plates, so they have to have a charity that's associated with it. And then the St.
Petersburg College, they fund scholarships. Okay, here's the catch. Tell me. Oh, sorry, one more.
First responders. I like that one. That was the biggest one of all. So October 1st, they start selling these plates.
The organizations have to pre-sale 3,000 plates within the next two years. Okay. And if they do that, then they print them. Oh, yeah, because it's probably...
It shouldn't be that hard. Yeah, but you pay for it now. Okay. But you're not going to get it until 2028 or 9.
Isn't that how cigars work? I'm not, okay, I understand, like, I understand where you're like, instant gratification, you want the thing. Well, if I pay for it, I'm not gonna remember two years from now I even bought it. This is a thing though that you're doing just to do a good deed.
Right, but if they don't sell 3,000, you don't get your money. What's the first responder one look like? They don't have designs yet, they just, uh, he just allowed these five, and there is a word on each one that has to show up, a little phrase. Like first responders has to say first responders.
UFC has to say the name of their charity organization. Oh, okay. Well, I mean, I wouldn't mind buying a first responder one. I'm okay with that.
You can't apply for a refund, but there's no guarantee you'll get your money. I'll buy you one, too. I don't want one. So I have all the CH Pod money now because we're getting all these cool things, remember?
Oh, all right. We have money? Wow. Yeah, you see, because you guys know we don't have any money.
I'm going to buy these plates, though. You gotta talk smack about me, saying that I'd spend all our money. Well, you-- Oh, I forgot we did that. This is just show fodder.
Michael, calm down. Yeah, we needed some because, obviously, Greg wasn't talking. And I love the fact that his phone rang. Well, he thought it was Brittany.
Yeah. Yeah, it was a ha-ha-ha. Or his wife. My phone doesn't ring when she calls.
Your phone doesn't ring, period. You just answered. Right. Yeah.
No, his ring. Your phone doesn't ring? No, he just has it where he can see it. I have mine sitting face-up, in case there's an emergency.
Yeah, okay. All right, do you have a video for us? I do. You know what?
I forgot to send it to me, though. You forgot to send it to you? Just keep moving forward. You know, I'll, yeah.
So, it's actually from Mark Gordon. He told me all about this yesterday. The not as good as Julian Gordon. What I'll do is, I'll record it.
If he sent you the recording, you don't have it? What's that? I have it. But, so the guy got into this, the guy from...
It's a continuation of Friday's video. Yeah, the guy who said he was Harry Dresden, who's apparently like a wizard or something? Yeah, something from some type of game or something. Yeah.
What? I couldn't think of the right word. The guy in the trench coat. He's a wizard from a game?
That name, Harry Dresden, is a character from a book or a game or something. Victor, you all right? So what I'm going to do is I'll send you the video, and I'm just going to keep the volume down. The...
You fucking trying me, I swear to God, I'll fucking kill you. Do you understand me? You wait. Get the fuck out of my fucking house!
You think you can fucking shot me, motherfucker? I will save that little girl, you bitch! You bitch! There's no fucking group!
You're a fucking liar! I can hear her! I can fucking hear her! Look at you, you bitch!
You son of a bitch! I'll fucking kill you! I'll fucking kill you! I'll fucking kill you!
I'll fucking kill you! I'll fucking kill you! I'll fucking kill you! Man, hurry the fuck up, because I'm going to drag his ass out!
I'm telling you what you're talking to, bitch! I'm talking to you! Who are you talking to, bro?! Ah!
Ah! Stand on the fucking ground! Who the fuck do they think you are?! - My name is Henry Tristan.
- Get the fuck out of my house. - I know you're screaming and there's another one out there. Get the fuck out of my house. - This is the third room, bro.
- Walk the fuck out. - What's the third room? - Walk the fuck out. I'm telling you, I'm giving you a chance right now, man.
- This is the third room, bro. - I'm giving you a fucking chance. Get the fuck out of my house. - This is the third room, bro.
- I'm telling you, get the fuck out of my house. - One room, please. Just answer the question, please. - Get the fuck out of my house.
- Answer the question, please. - There's no one in there. - There's three rooms, man. I don't know who you are.
I live on the street at 1797, Kolob Drive. I don't know who you're talking about, man. Why do I hear screaming? Are you military?
Yes. Okay. Can you help me out? Yes.
Okay. I understand what you're going through right now. Yes. Can you step outside?
Yes, sir. Thank you. Thank you for asking. I don't know.
I think that, first of all, I think that mental health is a huge, huge, huge thing, you know? I mean the news would cover it, right? Yeah. I would think so.
No, they got other stuff like the blockade. I don't know. This is pretty fascinating to me. No, yeah.
Well, I'm fascinated too, but, I mean, it's not a, you know, a huge national story because he didn't hurt anybody. Have you seen the news lately? There's like nothing on it, man. I don't know.
I think that, first of all, I think that mental health is a huge, is a huge national story and a huge national problem and a huge national crisis. Yeah, national problem equals national story. Well, depends. Well, in my opinion, I think that it does certainly.
So, you know, I hope that this guy gets help. I'm glad they didn't get killed, you know, and I hope that it works out. So we'll see. Maybe a new story will pick it up.
You know, since my rope thing has kind of come back and forth a couple of times, I did want to say one thing, I had a scenario which I thought was fascinating, so I coached the kindergarten for our school, right, and it's out in the heat, and I don't have a tent for the kids, so the first time-- Shame on you. Sorry. Wow. Sorry.
Wow. " And then I forgot about the tent, right? So, 'cause I was at a, I wasn't available the previous weekend 'cause we were at Bo Weevil. Okay.
" And I'm already on my way over there. And I do have a tent, but the tent, I broke the tent, but it still works. I'm like, "No, it's okay. " Hey, stop it just for a moment for a second.
Did you break the tent because it wouldn't fold up correctly and you got a little angry? It wouldn't fold up correctly. I wasn't angry about it. I just forced it and broke it.
I've known him a long time. Okay, please continue with the story. - Yeah, that played through my head, too, Bombard. - Right, exactly.
- What are you talking about? - I'm picturing it not working. " - Right. - Now it'll close.
- It's in. - Close the trunk. - So, anyways. - Slamming the trunk, slamming the trunk.
- So this dad texts me. - Yes. " Whatever. So I show up.
Tent. - Oh. - Guy brings out the tent. Guy brings out the tent, has it all set up, ready to go, right, for the kids, awesome, and game's over, we have a good game, everybody had a great time.
He's now the assistant coach. Game's done. No, I have an assistant coach and he's amazing too. Oh.
Oh, so the guy who brought the tent's not your assistant coach, he's just a father of somebody on the team? Yeah, a kid that's on the team. Not an equipment manager. He put the tent up, played the game, broke the tent down, packed it in, good to go.
Done. Did not ask me, did not, you know, whatever, just said, hey, you know what, I see what you guys are doing, so you can use some help, here's some help, right? That's a guy that pulls the rope with you. Oh, I've, you know, I completely lost the whole thing about the rope thing in the beginning, but now I understand.
But you got there? He didn't know where you were going. Man, this is a long story to get back to the rope. Are we buying a tent?
I don't understand. So anyways, we're getting a tent. There's a CH Pod on the side of it? We're getting a CH Pod tent.
Oh, okay, good, perfect. No, but like, those are the type of individuals that you always want to be around. A person that doesn't, you know, that doesn't ask, but just wants to help, and helps, but doesn't overstep, right? Like, hey man, I got you, boom, over, problem solved, right?
And now we're moving on. Like, those are dudes that you want to be around. So, that was just kind of my point of pulling the rope, right? You have some ash on your shirt.
Thank you. No problem, just pulling the rope with you. He's going to point out every time. Every time he gets a little yank, he's going to tell you.
Pulling the rope. Bro, you sit on the rock sometimes. I don't know. Aww.
Aww. All right, Cigar News. Are we not doing the video? Are we doing the video?
No, he told us about it. We talked about it. Oh, he told us about it. Okay, so I'm going to clip it in?
Yep. Okay. You'll clip it in, no audio, so we can talk about it through it the whole time, right? Right?
And then I'm gonna send it to you guys with the audio so that you can see it. Ah, gotcha. Why, thank you. Alright, so put it over where we were talking about it.
Yeah. Okay, alright. No, put it in the beginning of the show, Palmer. Well, it could be I just cut it in and then there's the video and then we talk about it after.
There's several different ways it could go. That's true. And because the last video that you guys did drove me nuts. I don't even remember what it was.
It was the guy. It was the first half of the video, but we all three talked through the entire thing and there was no place to put it. Yeah, so it was insanity, to me. I started to lose my mind a little bit.
Sorry. Are you back? Don't be sorry, be better. Get off the rock.
Are you back? Get off the rock. Are you back? Get off the rock, start pulling the rope.
If I've got to tell you to pull the rope, then that's already a problem. Can we push the rock, or do we have to pull the rope? I don't care as long as you're in. I don't care what we're doing, as long as you're trying.
Alright, cigar news. Placencia announces a 2026 price increase. Uh-oh. Well, that new logo is expensive.
We got to put it on everything. Yeah, we got the new Leaf. Right. Put it on everything.
Are we giving away a Porsche this year, PCA, or what? I don't know. Ahead of next week's 2026 PCA convention trade show, Plasencia has announced that it will be increasing prices in a letter to retailers. The company said the prices are increasing by an average of...
7%. Uh, 4%. 2%? Yes, I'm closer.
Sparklers, sparklers, sparklers. We don't have any. The new pricing will take effect Monday, April 27th, that gives retailers one week to place orders between the end of the PCA convention, trade show, and when the new pricing hits. Oh, so they offer this, they still give you the better price through PCA.
At the PCA, correct. Yeah, that is their design. That's smart. Do you think, oh sorry, do you think the prices go up?
They're going up 2%. Yeah, but after PCA. Yeah. Yeah, that's when they're going to do it.
After they get all the orders. April 27th, they're going to institute the price increase. If you have your orders in, then they'll honor that price, but if you don't have them in up until that time. So it's like an incentive to get the PCA.
No, just in my mind, I was like, oh, maybe that's a marketing thing. Buy it now before the prices go up, and then the prices never go up, but they get all their orders. No, the prices go up. Prices are still going to go up.
2%, I mean, that's not a huge thing. No. That's not bad. No.
I mean, look, inflation happens annually. Yeah, most of these are five to seven on average. Yeah. All right.
That's still low for inflation. Who, what? That's still pretty low for inflation. Yeah.
Okay. Just making sure he's done. I've started this story twice. Yeah, he seems pretty, he's very talking about today.
Yeah, he's sitting on that rock, talking away. Wow. Drew Estate's adding Deadwood Crazy Atlas C-Notes this month. That should be the shirt.
The self-preservation shirt. It should be me and you pulling the rope. and then him and that Mardi Gras mask sitting on the rock. That would be epic.
Wow. Wow. Oh, by the way, I got an idea for sure. I've talked to you after the show.
Okay. I pull the rope. You're sitting on the rock today, I got to tell you. All right, continue.
Not only are you sitting on the rock, you're digging a trench in front of the rock. He's pulling it the other way. Wow. It's adding a popular C-Note Vitola to its Deadwood Crazy Alice line this month, Bringing the tiny Vitola to the flavored line.
The Deadwood Crazy Alice C-Note is a three and three quarter by 22. - It's a little guy. - It's a little guy. It uses as the same Maduro wrapper, Indonesian binder, and undisclosed fillers found in the larger size of the line.
The company refers to the C-Note Vitola, which appears in its acid line as a fast-smoking, grab-and-go expression designed for everyday moments. - Okay. C-Notes, the Holy Grail of Gravigo, the Grand Hefe, a burned one, the epitome of the on-run... I don't remember how I did his voice before.
He doesn't have that voice anymore, it's a different name now. Oh, a different name is right. C. Jonathan Sands, co-founder of Drew Estate in a press release.
There he is. I vividly remember the day in Nicaragua when we invented the acid cigar C-Note at my desk on the second floor of the old factory. When we finished rolling the sample... this is long.
Alright, so C-Note. C-Note, invented a masterpiece, friends laughed at him, he said it was going to be great. He said these are straight fire and soon millions of them will be ruling the earth. So do you think that this is a good product to release, Phil?
A musical note? C-Note's the name of it, because it's a tiny little cigar. Yeah, it's a little cigarillo. Yeah.
So the C, I imagine, stands for cigarillo. Note means one. I mean, I like little, the little cigarillos every now and then, so, yeah, yeah, I don't see why it would be bad. Now, it is a Crazy Alice, I'm not smoking that, but the people that do smoke these, they don't like to smoke a lot, so maybe the little one's good for them.
Okay. It's a hundred-count box. Do you think this is a good one? I imagine also, I think it's right, the people that smoke these aren't everyday cigar-sized smokers.
I don't think that makes a difference. I mean, the regular Crazy Owl, which Crazy Owl said what this is, that's not, it's not a whole lot bigger. Yeah, but it is bigger. Right.
Like engage wise. Yeah. Yeah. And like the reality is that sometimes a quick smoke is good, right?
Like if you just get something in and you don't, like normally what I'll do is I'll chop a Corona in half, right? But having that little cigar, that's advantageous. There are plenty of times where I'm like, hey, I'd like to get a quick smoke. Guess the price of the little cigar?
The little one? The little one. It's a 100 count box. I'm not going to give you the box price because then you'll figure it out.
Okay. Boots? So it's a big, it's a crate. It's a little crate.
Yeah. Um, 250? That's pretty close. I'm going to say three bucks now.
180, you went the wrong way. Yeah, I thought it was low. Little. So it's $180 for a 100 count box, which works out to 180 per cigar.
So they're not packaged to sell separately. They want you to buy the whole box. I mean, that's a good price for a box of those. A hundred of them?
A little quick smokes, man. Yeah. I don't know, a hundred seems like a lot. It looks like a lot.
You can burn through them fast, though. You can burn through like five or ten of them a day. Yeah. Yeah, I keep a little ten of like the Padrones or the Davidovs in my truck.
And when I smoke them, I usually smoke like two pretty quick. See how rich he is? You know how rich he is? Yes.
No, you got me on those. Cigars everywhere. I keep some Padrones and some Davidoffs. I have Padrones that I keep in the car.
I just keep them. I let them get stale and then I smoke them. Padrones. Because I am no big deal.
Not no Cubas. I have Padrones. I carry my Padrón tin. Yes.
No, I hear you, bro. My diamond studded box in my car. In my sapphire humidor. Rosalita, go get me one of my Padróns out of the car.
Grab the Doritos and the little Padrón. - And the Cheetos. - And there's the Cheetos. - The fiery ones.
- And then we can do... - I'm feeling fast. - And then we can do the Camada, or whatever he said. - Pachata.
- Pachata. - Pachata. - Then we do the Pachata. Ole!
Alright, Jamie Flores Estrada. - Are we done talking about that? - Oh, sorry, I thought we were. - No, well, I was gonna say, I understand, like, you're right, I like the little Davidoff...
- The Grago ones? - Uh, nope. I like the Davidoff... - Cigar.
- Winston Churchill's, the Pyramid ones? Pyramid ones? I don't know, whichever 10 you got, you got me hooked on the 10. I don't smoke the late hour ones that much or anything like that.
I like the Connecticut out of the Davidoff. The Padrón, like the little Corticos, those aren't bad either, they're little quick smokes. The 10 of them. Where are you talking about the individuals?
You know what's even better than both of those? Weaselitos. Weaselitos. I didn't see any in the walk-in.
Are they in the walk-in? I think that we might be down to just... Yeah, we're down to like... Habanos.
Yeah. I have them in my humidor. I try not to smoke them all because I don't know if they're coming back out. I would love...
They're coming back out. It's a regular item, I think, isn't it? I would love some EC Weaselitos. That'd be dope.
That would be nice. Yeah. When you call them back, tell them. Or the Volsta.
No, no. When you call them back after the show because they called you. Tell them you would like EC Weaselitos. C.
Wieselitos. Okay. C. Postana, Connecticut's.
Oh, yeah. I like that. Yeah, that'd be dope. That'd be nice.
Well, we can't call them Wieselitos. Yeah, we couldn't. What do we have to call them? Postana, Elitos?
Justice's Finger. Justice's Finger? Yes. Wow.
Greg's Point. Yeah, that'd be good. Greg's Point? The Little Connecticuts, Lancero, or Chopped Up?
Chopped Up Lancero. That'd be dope. That would be good. That would be good.
Write that down. Write that down. Okay. All right.
Carry on. Are you writing it down? Or is your shirt too tight? No, Palmer, you write it down.
No, carry on. Oh. I guess it's Jaime. Jaime Flores?
Okay. Jaime Flores? Could go either way. Jaime.
Jaime Flores Estrada is named CEO of SAG Imports. Oh, boy. S-A-G? The American distributor for Hoya de Nicaragua and Quesada has announced that Jaime Flores Estrada estrada is the company's new ceo nice effective april first oh could be a joke got him flores estrada's most recent served as the global chief growth officer for what i don't know global chief growth officer what's that job do you grow across the world better pays a lot think so what's the what's his title global chief growth officer like 200k for global premium cigars yeah are you Are you looking it up?
No, no. He's getting paid, though. The parent company of the 1502 brand. How many?
How much? How much do you think he's getting paid? Yeah, at least 200, if not more. I mean, global, he's gotta be like 250, 350.
Okay. Is 1502 a big brand? I don't even know what that is. No.
That's what I mean. He's the global chief officer of a small company. I don't think he's making 200. From Hoya?
No. No, no. Now he's in charge of Hoya. Before, he was global premium, he was the chief officer for global premium cigars.
Sounds like he's just a fancy name. Oh, so what's his title now? Now he's the CEO. Of Hoya?
No. Of the company that owns Hoya. This is fun. Who's on first?
Jesus. I don't know. They don't own Hoya. They're just imports.
Hold on. Yeah. American distributor. He's a distributor.
Thank you. Oh, okay. For Hoya de Nicaragua and Quesada. Right.
Okay, so it's a distribution company, he's now the CEO of. Yeah. And before, he was the global chief officer of a brand we don't know a lot about. Ricky.
Alright. Enrique. Alright. All knows Enrique.
Previously, he was also the VP of marketing for Drew Estate and executive VP of marketing for Royal Agio USA. Oh. During his time at Drew Estates, he worked with one half of the SAG import group, just half of them. SAG.
Okay, the other half didn't like it. It's not SAG, it's SAG. I like SAG. Okay.
It's the same group that gives you the union card for being an actor. The Screen Actors Guild? Yes, same group. Got it.
But this is the other half. He dealt with half. Yeah, he didn't deal with the actors. Nothing to do with the actors.
No, the other half. Right, the other side. From 2008 to 2025, Drew Estate was Hoya De Nicaragua's American distributor. Yep.
Okay, here's a quote from him. What should his voice be? What do you think? I'm thinking Russian.
Jaime? Jaime? Yeah. Jaime?
Sounds Jewish. Yeah. No, it's Spanish. I'm thinking Russian.
I'm going Russian, and I'm going... You do Russian better than me, so I'll tell you what to say. I can't read, though. Squeaky Russian.
I'll tell you what to say. No, it's okay. I'll give you four words at a time. No, I want you to do it.
Squeaky Russian. It's gonna end up being Chinese, I'm just telling you. Okay, I moved to Chinese, then. I think Jaime is Chinese.
Squeaky Chinese. Squeaky Chinese? Yeah. Go ahead.
I am honored to lead... I am honored to weave. There you go. Oh, it's like Jonathan Drew in Chinese.
Yeah. You can do, like, one thing. You can do one thing. It's a transformative moment for both the Kitata and Hoyas de Nicaragua families.
He said Flores Estrada in a press release. Oh, of course he did. I have no idea what he said. I have no idea what he said.
He sounded like a minion. The talent and passion already on the team is remarkable. Oh, okay. Today we honor the heritage of both families and grow something lasting.
That's like Russian Chinese or German Chinese or something. It almost sounds like the guy from, remember when he used to play like zombies on Call of Duty? No, but go ahead. Yeah, it sounds like that.
That's what he sounds like? Yeah. That's good, dude. I love that.
All right, moving on. Moving on. Pariah Cigars announces number 39. I guess that's the number we're at.
At its first line. This is its first cigar. It's the 39th cigar. It took us 39 tries.
Yeah, one for 38, but suck. We got there. Pride Cigars, the new brand created by Daniel Lance, Esteban Disla, and Kevin Baxter, has announced its first cigar, number 39. Ah.
According to a press release, number 39 is an initial chapter built around meaning, symbolism, and a distinct visual and product identity. It is made up of three blends and releases in a 7x60 box-pressed Super Toro. 7x60? Super Toro.
Super Toro. The inspiration across all three cigars was to create blends that are extraordinarily approachable with flavors that arrive clearly on the palate and land consistently across smokers with very different levels of experiences. Sounds very AI. It's a 7x80.
Yeah. Like, it's not going to taste like much. 7x60. Same thing.
Whatever. Same thing. 7x60. It's not going to taste like much.
It's delicious. There's three of them. There's a black one, there is a red one, and there is a white one. Okay.
Oh, it sounds a lot like New Tampa. Oh, West Tampa? West Tampa, they did a black, red, and away. Well, Macal's doing colors, too.
We're all doing colors now. But these are the exact same colors that West Tampa did. Got it. Maybe they both got their ideas from AI.
You should just make three colors. Just make three colors. Right. Is it like a red cigar, or just a red label?
It's got a red band. Red band. Red band. All three blends are exactly the same price.
How much is this lovely, wonderful 7x60, Michael? Ten Dollars. Billy? Uh, this company's first cigar?
Well, yeah, 39th try. Yeah, let's go 18 bucks. 99. I won.
Oh, by a penny. It's got an unusual box count. How many in a box? Ooh.
Eight. Thirteen. Forty. I was closer!
60. Oh, I'm sorry. I think they were the first cigar you'd make a smaller box, give more people a chance to try. Listen, you can't have conversations with these people.
They know what they're doing. You got to cough up $600 if you want to try my cigar. All right. Okay.
All right, it's time for the industry's favorite game. What's the score? And thank you, Mr. T.
Money, for your suggestion on how to change the game, but as we discussed, that just won't work. Oh, he gave you intel? He gave me a suggestion. " All right.
Aren't you supposed to tell me about something that he did or something? Am I supposed to tell you? Well, no, he already told you. I don't know.
He told me he told you. He told me that you didn't tell me, and he told me that you had to tell me. Well, then he probably should have told me that he's going to tell you that, not to say you know, so that I can tell you. Because he's also already posted it on social media and tagged both of us in it.
I did see it. Okay. What are we going to talk about? He got a pee tattoo.
He got the post on your pee. He did. He got a post on his. On his forearm.
It's a badass tattoo. I like the flag. It's a nice touch. He's afraid you didn't like the flag.
No, I loved it. I thought the flag was nice, too. I'm going to get the flag added to mine. Yeah, you should add the flag.
How many P's are in existence now? I think that's either number five or six. Yeah, it's up. Get up there.
He gets his... He gets his... Paola. His payola.
He's not even aware of that. Yeah, he is. Is he? Yeah.
Did he do that before he got the tattoo? Yes, he did. He heard about it before. He knew about it before?
Yeah. He gets his payola. It came up on the Zoom thing I did because mine. " Yeah, apparently.
Sounds good to me. What was the suggestion? What do you mean? To change the game?
Is that what we were talking about? No. Him, and I forget who the other gentleman was, they noticed that Charlie Monado takes two to three times longer to smoke a cigar than anybody else. Yeah.
So I guess in some of the older reviews, it says how long they took them to smoke it. That was going to be a separate game called Guess the Time or something. Oh. We don't have that kind of time.
Yeah. Right. I mean, and I go, so I ask them one question, they say the answer, and then we're done. Right.
Oh, so close. All right, moving on. Maybe it could be a bonus. This is why T-Money doesn't have his own podcast.
I guess. " Oh, he didn't even research it before he had an opinion. Correct. Nice.
Smooth, T, smooth, attaboy. A very nice tattoo. It's awesome. Yeah.
We'll have to look him up in the box. The fact that he put it on his butt was a little weird when you sent me a photo, but, you know, it is what it is, I guess. Like you didn't know there was going to be a little joke there. He's not getting away clean.
Come on. Obviously on the butt. No, it's all right. Womp, womp, womp, womp.
Womp, womp, womp, womp. Next. May 1st cigar, May 23rd, 2023. Charlie Manado Cigars.
It's a Honduran JRE Tobacco Limited Edition Aladino Candela Robusto. Ooh. 87. Ooh, Aladino, huh?
Candela. Honduran. 2023. 82.
Country of origin, Honduras, Factory, Fabrica de Puros, Aladino, Atlas Lomas, Hamistran, it's a Honduran Corojo Candela, it is a Honduras Corojo binder, filler is also Corojo, length 5x50, and they smoked 3, 88, it was so fast, I couldn't switch the camera, 82, well, you reached for your drink, to be fair, no, my fingers are on the buns at all times, no, I'm not going to go to the Buns at all times. He's got his watch under the table because he doesn't want to take it off. Fluid number one. I've had it up here.
It just dinged. Put it back down. Unique and enjoyable sweetness profile, the cigar delivers a standout natural honey-like sweetness that shifts between sugar, citrus, and even light tea notes layered with creaminess and earthiness. It's especially impressive given there's no sweetened cap, making it one of the more memorable natural sweet profiles in recent history.
89. 82. Clue number two: two of the three cigars showcase very solid construction with a good draw, consistent burn, and smoke production that improved nicely after the first few puffs, allowing the core flavor profile to really shine. 88.
82. Clue number three: inconsistency with draw and burn. One cigar suffered from a tight draw that impacted flavored delivery and required correction, while multiple cigars needed touch-ups in the later thirds, pointing to some inconsistency across the samples. 86.
What was the number? I was trying to beat you to it. 86. 82.
Final thought. For those of you that don't like the Candela cigars you've had to date, this could very well be the one that becomes your favorite Candela. Ooh. But I hope you like sweetness.
In particular, the first half of the cigar had a lot of sweet notes. Oh, the gong went off. That strongly reminded me of honey, sweetened green tea beverage. Some of that might be the color association, but the honey sweetness is as strong as I've found in any cigar that isn't flavored.
The upside for those of you who haven't enjoyed candela is that outside of the sweetness, there is not much of the typical candela flavors, especially that dry hay flavor that I often find. four. That's a good number. Huh.
And who was this? Charlie Monado. Manado. Charlie Manado.
85. He's nice. What did you say? 84.
You went the right way. Yeah. 87. Bing bong.
Sparklers, sparklers, sparklers. Damn. Second cigar. December 21st, 2025.
Patrick Lagreed. Agronorsalief Cigars. Guardian of the farm. Cerberus Lancero.
Oh, I just went I talked about this the other day. Oh, I'm first. Yeah. Sorry, I had a camera on you.
I'm like, why isn't he talking? What did I do wrong? Am I pulling the rope? Am I on the rock?
What am I doing here? 89. This is a good cigar. I keep adding rocks, so there's a rock.
I keep putting more rocks on them. Hey, what are you guys? You pulling that? Oh, I'm gonna throw my rock up there, too.
They won't even notice. Yeah, there's no big deal. They're working so hard. They won't care.
How did that get up there? Oh, I don't know. Oh, what is that? It's so weird.
Why does it say fill on it? Wow. What'd you say? I'm not telling you because of that comments you made.
84. Is that what he said or is that what you said? That's what I said. Alright.
Guardian of the Farm, Cerberus Lancero from Nicaragua, Factory, Agonorsa, Wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo, 2012. Binder, Nicaraguan, Filler, Nicaraguan, length, 7 1/2 by 40, it's pressed. free. Oh, they're free.
Okay. 89. Eighty-five. Clue number one.
The cigar delivers a standout natural honey-like sweetness that shifts between sugar, citrus, and even light. That's the exact same one as before, right? He just copied, basically. You stole Charlie's?
No, it's word for word. It's the exact same one. It's the same one. He stole it.
That's plagiarism, Patrick. Well, let's jump to the final thought. We have now figured out Patrick. All the...
Yeah, they're... Unless you messed it up. Unless I did it, yeah. You probably messed it up.
Well, our ChatGPT just gave me the same one twice. Palmer, look it up on your phone real quick. No, I don't even know where it's at. You want me to look it up?
No. Okay. Alright, here's the final thought. Call Greg.
To put it bluntly, my experience with the guardian of the farm, Cerberus Lancero, The first cigar's wrapper leaf started to split upon cutting the cap and throughout the smoking process. While the flavor seemed disjointed and incongruent, the second and third cigars had combustion that was frustrating at best, infuriating at worst, while none of the trio offered the kind of profile that made me feel like the blend had been dialed in. There are moments that are intriguing, such as the honey graham cracker, and while the general profile seems like it's close to being better, it's simple. Definitely not.
The flavor struggles to land a solid combination, and instead relies on more basic combination of flavors and lingering pepper finish, both of which stimulate but do not satisfy. Unfortunately, all three cigars for this consistent performance, the Guardian of the Farm Service Lancero is a hard pass for me. Phil. Yes, I'm thinking.
You forgot to go... There you go. Rev that motor. 77.
Damn. 78. You went the right way. 79.
We split the thing. Well, good, because now there's no sparklers. No sparklers. Okay.
We planned it that way. Where are we going to be? We're gonna be at the PCA from the 15th, from the 16th to the 21st. Something like that.
18th to the 20th. In New Orleans. Well, that's the actual show, but we're gonna be there though. 16th and the 21st.
