ACHP 572 What Did You Cut Off??!!

ACHP 572 What Did You Cut Off??!!

Episode Summary

Episode 572 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast is a full-crew reunion show: Mike Palmer is back from a two-day trip to Creekside Cigars in Ohio, Mike Bonkiewicz is back behind the mic, and engineer Phil McGuffey returns from "maternity leave" after becoming a new uncle. The first stretch is listener comments, CHPod.com swag and the ongoing auction for Phil's butterfly mask, plus Palmer's plan to launch a CH blog/community board on CHPod.com so the show has a home base if YouTube, TikTok or other platforms ever pull the plug. Palmer also raves about the hospitality at Creekside — Dave and his crew, an immaculate humidor, a packed meet-and-greet full of CHPod swag, and a Friday podcast taping — and notes the shop even had Marineros on the shelf.

The news block goes wide: the 2026 Florida Python Challenge (July 10–19, $10,000 grand prize, $25 registration, required training and an 85% identification quiz for Burmese pythons), a Louisiana revenge-porn arrest and how those laws differ state to state, the bizarre Fort Wayne, Indiana case of Christopher Peden — who cut off his own penis, burned it in a neighbor's garage and was charged with arson — and Conor McGregor's 69-second MMA return loss to Max Holloway after blowing out his knee, including talk of a possible third fight and the nine-figure betting angle.

Cigar news covers Topper Cigar Company — which claims to be the oldest continually operated family-owned cigar company in the U.S., founded 1894 — and its new Topper 1894 Broadleaf regular production line with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Dominican binder and Dominican-grown Connecticut Broadleaf seed filler, offered in four vitolas including new shorty sizes, plus 1894 Shorty and 125th Anniversary pricing. The crew also breaks down the Les Fines La Petite Flying Tiger Limited Edition cigar knife: 250 numbered pieces, $199, the brand's first Cerakoted armor-back blade, a shark-face design honoring the WWII First American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers), and a matching $125 duo cigar case.

The show closes with What's the Score, guessing Halfwheel review scores. The Hoya de Nicaragua Clásico Original Green Room Selección (6x54, Ecuadorian Connecticut seed wrapper, $13.50) lands a 90 despite burn issues, while the Casa de Gala Daughters of the Wind Cremello Lancero from Costa Rica (7.5x39, $19) draws a 73 thanks to persistent draw and construction problems. There's also a shout-out to a Halfwheel-style review of the Postagna Sumatra Grand Toro that scored a 91 — reviewed by Thor, not Fred Rouet.

Yes. The, it's actually called like the Macarana or something like that. Oh, it's not Macarena? No.

But I'm gonna call it the Macarena. There we go. It's a lot more fun. A couple comments from the yesterday's show, let's see y'all, he made it, oh, look who's here from his maternity leave, the eagle has landed, Phil, I'm a new uncle, McGuffey, all right, for the next five episodes, camera's only on me, no, it doesn't work that way, I've lost all my cameras, That's your fault.

That's not our fault. Not our fault. It's not like you had the baby. Yeah.

Oh, wow. Yeah, exactly. Wow. Okay.

Getting into the comments. " Oh! I thought I actually sang on last week's episode. " Back to school.

Back to school. That's from Billy Madison. Oh. Have you seen that?

No. I'm watching all Spanish language movies at the moment. I'm immersing myself in the culture. Oh.

Okay. That's great. Greg has dates. He's chosen dates.

Oh, yeah? What are the dates? 16th to the 22nd. Of when?

August? Yes. Okay. Alright.

Cool. This is crooked again. Like, it fell. So, are you going with Greg?

Greg is taking me just like I took him to China. Okay. So, if you and Greg are gone. And Mikey one day can't do the show, so it'll happen.

Oh, it's right. Well, I gotta be honest. That's an August problem. We're in the February of July.

I'm not sweating those details right now. Oh, okay. @miguelrocho7487, my guy says Greg's letter will read to my favorite employee. It says Mark Palmer.

I didn't know if he did that to be funny. It could be. Okay. uh but mike palmer yes if you were reading this i am dead or almost dead wow i don't invite employees to my house but i did like you right florida man says i am dying this palmer don't you mean no no i read it just as it shot tallesus i don't know i read it just as it came through on the telex machine great show you guys go triple g team money says feel like they missed an They had an opportunity to call it "Shit Jealouses" It was "Chigliosis" or something, that's the way it was spelled, but they're saying it should have said "S-H-I-T" I like how in the comments they are now "Shittimus"?

Well, they're putting in the ampersand so that we don't get hit there either. Right. 'Cause they're not allowed to swear anymore. iHeart Triple G says, iHeart Triple G, Triple G has dethroned the king as the premier host.

Thank God. I'll leave now. See ya. Well, yeah, we can almost just back out of this now and let everybody else do it.

I would love that. Oh, no more beatings. Goodbye, everybody. Almost spit my drink.

If you want to see the show deteriorate, I'll disappear. No problem. " So wait a second, there's a "I Love Triple G" and an "I Heart BDP"? Do you not watch the shows when you're sitting at home doing nothing, Phil?

No. Yes, there is an "I Heart Triple G", there is an "I Heart BDP", an "I Heart BDP 2", and there is also an "I Heart BDP, Triple G, Phil, and The King", I believe. Yeah. So, Palmer, how many emails do you have?

That's all I do now, apparently. All I do is comment on this show and make fake emails. You know, it's funny now that we raise that up, even though it's nice and even, now that you've kind of settled. Yeah, you're slouching.

Sliding? Yeah. Your diaper. That looks better.

It's a diaper, and the diaper slides. Yeah. Well, you should be quite confident in changing. I'm not changing.

Yeah, I'm not changing. Wah! Wah! I poo-pooed.

Nope. Nope. You don't change the diaper? Not for him.

Do you change the diaper for your nephew? My nephew? Yeah, no, my nephew? Yeah, you're Phil.

It's your nephew. Oh. If you would watch the shows, you would know these things. Yeah.

Oh, yeah. You do? Yeah. Okay.

'Cause if you didn't, I mean, that'd be wild, dude. Yeah, then why aren't you here? I don't change diapers. No, not even that.

I'm just talking about just realistically. Oh, I don't change a lot of diapers. No? No.

Why not? Why not? Uh... Afraid of poop?

'Cause I don't. I don't know. I don't know how to... She just had the baby.

Yeah, she's up walking. She's doing great. Was it a C-section, or was it a... It was a C-section.

C-section. Sorry, I don't have these kind of details. Mm-hmm. A scheduled departure.

Ah. @Michaelzcigarguy... I just can't get over... So wait, like, the kid has...

You can't get past that. I'm sorry. " and just kind of hand it off? Is that what you do?

Serious? I'm asking. Sometimes. What are you doing that you can't change the diaper?

Look, man. Eating him egg rolls. It's hard to get comfortable sometimes with these fake hips. Okay?

You blame it on the hips? Yeah. Wow. Oh, honey, my hips.

The baby has gone to the bathroom. Wow, the hips. What are we doing? I'm changing diapers.

I don't have to change diapers all the time. Every once in a while? Yeah. What, are you like one to her five or something?

Yeah, I was going to ask, what's the ratio? She's probably doing way more than five, but you know, one a day. One a day? He might slide in and just...

Yeah, it's a little assist. But if she's sleeping. A little Chris Paul action. If she's sleeping, do you wake her up?

If who's sleeping? Wow. Your wife. No.

No, actually, this baby's been pretty good so far. He's been sleeping through the night. Well, that's great. That is great.

Thank God, because if he shit himself. Right. You'd have to wake Tia up. She'd have to, you know, hobble in there with her surgery.

Okay. @MichaelZsagarguy. Let's get back to this. He can't get comfortable with the fake hips, but she's been cut in half.

Cut in half? Yes. No, she literally, they, well, maybe. They split her left to right and sometime front to back.

How does she feel? She's like, she doesn't want another one right now? She's done? No, no, no.

All the tubes were removed. It's done? Yeah, we're done. Confirmed.

Yep. So now you can drop loads, no issue? Yep. Recreational only, it says now on her.

Wow. I mean, I guess if that's the tattoo. So we didn't want another one? No.

Okay. I don't know, I'm just asking. Yeah, four is enough. Well, she's got four enough for you, but she has confirmed two.

Yeah, boy, girl, she's good. Okay. Yeah. At MichaelZCigarGuy55, oh, Palmer.

Where, you having more? Me? Yeah. I don't plan on it.

Oh, okay. I wouldn't be mad if it happened. Oh, so you're still able to? Sure.

Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, my wife would kill me if we had another one.

Yeah, I mean, you're what, 40, you're 41, 40? I'm gonna be 42 this month. 42 this month, right? So, which is on my calendar, by the way.

Oh, thank you. If you had a baby right now, you would be 60 by the time they're 18. Okay, if I make it that far? It would be my age.

Yeah, if I make it that far. Oh, you're just gonna give up in the middle of your kid's life? I don't know. I don't know.

Eventually, the body says enough. Well, yeah, but probably when you're 90. I mean, I'll do everything I can to make sure that I go as far as possible, but you don't know. I think you're gonna be good.

" I don't give a shit, man. Like, dude, I love my kids so goddamn much. " The other part would be like, "Oh, my God. " I'm sorry, honey.

I don't know what happened. I'm glad it regresses after a couple of seconds. No, no, but it's true, it's true, I mean, there is, you know that every kid is more stressful. Right, well, they're different.

Sure. But totally worth it. When they get older, they start peeling off, so, you know. Well, you had boys.

Right. You know, I don't know if that happens with the girl. With the girl, maybe. Right, yeah, probably not as easily as the boys.

I mean, the stuff that Teddy says sometimes just melts you. I'm like, oh my God, you're so sweet, you know? Right. That's why you're the favorite.

Don't tell your brothers. Sorry. Here's some money. I don't have any to give her.

Here's a dum-dum. It was funny, they wanted to do ice cream on Saturday. So I think Justice came out and said, can we get ice cream? I said, no.

So then they sent her out. Sure. Can we get ice cream? I said, no.

Your brother sent you out? She's like, no, no, I just asked. I'm like, okay. " Wow, what a trickle down.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. " Yeah, good thing he said yes to Levi, Jackson has to come out.

Yeah. No, no. " I have no, I have no swag here at all. Yeah, but when you go there, you only get one ice cream?

Just buy one for Levi? Exactly. All right, everybody, let's watch Levi eat. Don't give him any licks, Levi.

Whatever you do, don't give anybody any likes. This will be a last ice cream. Have your mom send you with money next time. No, man, Levi's my guy.

He orders the same thing that I ordered, too. I'm like, I get it. Doesn't get any better than that. Yeah, easy day.

Yeah. @Michaelzcigarguy55 says, "Oh, Palmer, I hate to point out your mistakes. Patina does not have a blue pill cigar, although we have suggested it. I can pronounce my, oh God, Chicagoland brothers' last name and Mali.

I just skipped it. You're welcome. I know. Great show.

Oh yeah, great show. Alex J Gonzo chimes in with Charles is the Goat. @TheCigarGuy says CH Pod is one person away from the OG crew being totally replaced. Let us know if you need to recruit more cigar guys to run your show.

Well there you go, so you get where I'm going. Yeah, that way we can pick up more, you know, that way you guys can get more viewers, because we eclipsures. " You know, it's, I don't do, listen, I don't understand why anybody would poke the bear. Like, that's so dumb, you know?

All he had to say was, "Great show, guys. " Thanks for having me on. Yeah, and I said, "You know what? Awesome.

Thanks. We're so glad that you were a part of it. " Yay. But then, but then you came for me.

That's the dumbest thing you could do. Then I gotta chop you right down and let you know that you're not qualified. But I still love you. Is your password what the Hushacha means?

No. No. Why is that coming back up? I don't know, you know, it's always a question in my head.

Keanu asked me earlier this. Like lately? Yeah. Oh, wow.

So there are secret numbers on the Hushacha. And people have always asked me, what does this mean? And I won't tell anybody. So.

I suppose there's only three people that know. Yeah. Yeah. So we have to- So we got to kill the other two.

Yeah, see who breaks. Well, it's your wife and Matt Booth, so I mean. " He did do a great job. Still thinks I'll get it out of Booth one day.

Nah. He's the weak link. Just tell him a fart joke and then maybe he'll say it. No, he won't, dude.

I think- No. No, I think Matt rolls pretty hard. You know. I couldn't see it.

You want to trade for a cool poopy joke? I'll show you my wiener. Oh, here you go! At 6-3, at Charles, at 6...

Somebody. Start over. At CW6383, Triple G isn't wrong about the magnet. We have them readily available in the ER for that exact reason, turning off the pacemaker.

Pacemaker? Yeah. I'm not getting around CW6383, he's gonna walk up and put a pace and put a magnet on a chassis. Shut it down.

If you want to hear your comment read aloud on the show, just simply comment below, and we may comment on your music episode. com. A blog? Yeah.

And what it's going to do is, it's going to populate the episode on there, like a brief transcript, and people can comment below. So, what I'm looking to do is, and here's what my thought is, is I want to create the community kind of on the page, that way, if we ever lose any of these other platforms, for whatever reason, we're good. Oh. So, um...

Is there speculation of losing platforms? It happens all the time, they shut down my TikTok for a day. Oh. Like, you're gone.

Right. And it was, and it was, like, hard, bro, there was a, this account violates and is now terminated, gone, blah, blah, blah, I was like, okay, well, I don't know what I, Like, let me just appeal that, and then 24 hours later, like, and you're back, and we're really sorry about that. Oh, sorry, we overreacted. But the scary part is, that's how it exists in all of these realms, right?

Sure. There's shows on YouTube that disappear all the time, cigar guys and stuff. Right. All of a sudden, you get one, two, three strikes, and you're done, right?

So, I'm thinking that I want to build a community board, and it's going to take some fine-tuning. I commented on this show, first of all, it said that one of you guys talked about that you had an STD, which I thought was hilarious. Oh, really? Yeah.

And you didn't. No. Right. So, obviously, I gotta tweak that a little bit.

You know. Leave it. That's funnier. I think maybe to some degree it should just, maybe it has the show, the audio of the show or something, and people can listen with the transcript or something.

It would have to have something to make it a replacement for. So, like, let's say we lose YouTube. If the site holds only the transcripts, it doesn't really hold the show. No, it doesn't hold the show.

But if it could pull... I don't think it needs... I mean, the video? It could carry the show there, too.

I mean, if you could set it up where Spotify dumps over there, so it's not like... Well, it just feeds off the RSS feed? Right, right, yeah. Alright, I'll take a look at that and see if I can do that.

I'm sure you can. You know, just tell your friend. Yeah. Just tell my friend?

Tell your friend, Claude. Yeah, I'll work on that. But, just so you know, that's kind of the direction that I'm... That I'm thinking about having a place where we can all kind of because there's also comments that we're missing on Spotify.

Yeah, right, right. So we say, hey, everything's here. If you want to talk or whatever. And you know, so we have the listeners go there and comment.

Yeah, yeah, that's where that's that's the direction. I think this is going to head. So check that out. It's a disaster right now, but I'd love to get your get your feedback with that.

I'm sorry, with that, this is awesome. Start taking hits on our feeds in other places. Of course. All right.

Of course. Yeah, but it'll just take time to transfer them eventually. I don't, but I don't care. Yeah, but it'd be harder for new people to find it if they have to go somewhere special.

" Right. " Okay. Right. So, what's your point?

I'm just trying to-- Well, I didn't necessarily want video to be played there. But to be played there, I just wanted an area to be, that we could openly discuss it. Right, you said the chat board. Yeah.

Oh, okay. If it ever got to a point where they shut down the video, then yeah, of course, it would just pop it up there. Sure, sure, sure. Oh, okay.

You know, but I just figured a community board where we could blog and talk and review and make jokes about the, I mean, talk about cigars or whatever. You know, if you want to talk about the fact that Jamie Foxx is only 5'9", and that's the why... 9, right, and he's 58 years old or whatever, which there were no comments about Jamie Foxx's height in this comment section, but, so anyways, I digress, do me a favor, Phil, jump to you real quick, put your mask back on, first of all, that mask is not available yet on the auction, however, the butterfly mask is, so make sure you check it out, do me a favor, buddy, and pick a number 1-5. 5.

Okay. Okay. Now pick a number, oh god, 1-15. 1.

You weren't expecting that? I was not expecting that. Yeah, gotcha. You were expecting 15 as usual.

Yeah. Pick another number. You don't like that one? No.

So, am I the comment? All right. I'll take two. Florida Man 1888, congratulations.

You were the winner of a Postanya ashtray. I picked you. Oh, I didn't know we were giving away an ashtray. Yeah, we were giving away all week.

Must have been started on the episode I wasn't here. Probably, yeah. So, congratulations. We'll work on our next giveaway, and we'll talk about Let's talk about where we're going to be giving that away.

Oh, are you talking about the stinky ones? Yeah. That's dope. Oh, that one, yeah.

Sorry, I was thinking of black and white when the ceramic things. No, I saw those. It was pretty dope. No.

Okay, we're 22 minutes in. Let's get on with the show. All right, Florida. Oh.

Edumatainment. There's a lot of things. There's one thing you forgot. I forgot?

Yeah. What did I forget? You forgot to ask me how was my trip. I already did.

Mike said, tell us about CH Potty and how your trip went. Oh, you want to know? Sure. Oh, okay, cool.

I'm going to tell you. Thanks so much for asking. Certainly, not a problem. It was pretty incredible, man.

Yeah? It's a nice place? It is a great place. Looks nice.

Creekside. I went to Creekside. Dave and his crew are amazing as far as customer service and how they kind of handle themselves. The humidor was immaculate, which is awesome.

Any cool finds? There's some things that they like to talk about, the cigars that they like that they introduced to me that I smoked, and I thought they were okay. It's cool to get that perspective from the different side of things, but, I mean, I could have sat there and talked to them for a week. Sure.

Did you do a show? Yeah. Did it air already? It should air this Friday.

Gotcha. Yeah. It was really cool. It was really cool, and yep, you know, there's only a, very seldom do I leave a place when, and I feel like, you kind of get like rejuvenated, like, okay, this is, it was one of those times.

Oh, wow. Yeah, because they're younger, they're dialed in, they're working on getting better, and they have a great culture there in their store, so I was just, I was super impressed. And I got to tell you, one of the other things that I really loved was Corey, Chris, and P. Rick, Kevin, there was a bunch of guys that came up to hang out, which was amazing, and a lot of them were in the CH Pod Swag, so I mean, you know, just instantly felt good about that.

That was so cool. So I had a great time, man. It was a great experience. And I look forward to going up there again and hanging out with them.

And yeah, man, it was amazing. You can take pictures when you do these things. Dude, you know what? You're not wrong.

Yeah, I know it's the last thing on your mind when you're doing stuff, but like you with all the guys that came up with the swag on, that would have been a good picture. - Yeah, you're right. - Or with their crew would have been a good picture. - Yeah, you're right.

You know, like the unfortunate thing is that I have this, there'll be no mercy, I'm taking everybody, and every person that walks in that door, I'm addressing, right? - Right. - And the night kind of flies by at that point. - Sure.

- And then they're like, I was hanging out with them for a little bit, and then once things kind of started to roll, I was just gone, you know? So I felt bad kind of at the end. I'm like, you know, I wish I could have hung out longer with you guys. So, but we had a good time, we had a good conversation, and yeah, I mean, thank you guys, thank you so much for supporting us, thank you so much for coming out, that's such a great feeling, man, it really is, so.

Yeah. I had a great time, my flight got delayed on the way home. Oh, because I asked your wife, she said you were coming home at midnight, was that the original, or is that the delay? That was the original.

Oh, and I got delayed from midnight. Yeah. Oof. I made it home around 4:30 in the morning and I couldn't fall asleep right away, so I finally fell asleep around 6, got up at 8, coached three basketball games, coached a football game, a scrimmage football game, it was a lot, but that's okay, man, that's kind of what life is, that's what it's all about.

Okay, that's it. Any other questions? Questions about Creekside, about my guys? What state was that in?

Ohio. Oh, nice. Was the weather nice? The weather was okay.

Yeah. I just know it's hot, like, everywhere. I didn't know if it was, like, super hot there. Yeah, it was a little hot, but not too bad.

Nice. So, any, like, super rare postagna, like, let's say, Hushachas or, you know, the infamous Bangarang? Those aren't postagnas, but... Well, they're, yeah, they're...

Poshik. Poshik, yeah. Sorry. They're on the newer side of our...

Yeah, they're a newer account. So they don't have any of that stuff. They don't have any of the older stuff. Uh-huh.

Didn't know if I had to put in an order. You want to know what they did have? What did they have? They had Marineros.

Really? Oh. They did have Marineros. Shh.

Redact that. Redact? Yeah. You want to put a black line on the screen?

Yeah, yeah. You heard nothing. You heard nothing. Do not buy them there.

Are we getting those? Shh. We've had those. those these are the oh yeah we're not talking about it no more you've been hanging out with greg too long yeah i don't spend a lot of time upstairs anymore i don't know what comes and goes in there much anymore that's a while back yeah oh i saw those i was like oh well i resisted really yeah here's the problem like dave was so gracious he was so amazing dude he fed me twice nice he got Yeah, steak.

Oh, you ate steak twice? I ate steak, and then we ordered this other really cool thing, I don't remember what it was called, the next day. And he wouldn't let me pay. And then when I went to try some cigars, he said, "Hey, I want you to just try this, try this," and he wouldn't let me pay for those.

Oh, you spent two days there? Because the second day of the flight was so late? Yeah, well, I purposely did two days, because Thursday was the event, and then Friday was the podcast, that way we could get both. Oh, I gotcha.

Yeah. I thought everything was the same day. No, so, yeah, I mean, like, they kind of set the bar as far as how to take care of your boy when he's traveling. Yeah, it's nice, man.

Hospitality is great from people when it's like that, you know? Yeah, and their hospitality was bar none. It was incredible. Right.

Absolutely incredible. Okay. Sorry. Now we go.

All right, the 2026 Florida Python Challenge is back and begins or begun Friday, July 10th. m. on Sunday, July 19th to remove Burmese pythons from the Florida Everglades. A bang, bang.

Just keep talking. I don't know what you're doing. Experts say the invasive species poses a significant threat to native wildlife. FWC is offering $10,000 prize.

Keep your legs still. It looks like there's an earthquake. Don't mind his hand on your lap. Now we're back to cricket.

For the hunter who removes the most pythons. They award separate prizes for each category in three levels of experience. Novice, professional, military. Phil, you can go.

Last year's grand prize winner removed 60 pythons. I believe it was a woman last year. I'm going to tell you something right now. Yes?

I'm not participating in anything with snakes. I just went down. Now you're looking down my nose. Yeah.

Nothing with snakes? You don't like snakes at all? No. Registration is still open for participants to enter this year's challenge before registering participants must read, now he's going behind me, read, fluffing my pillow, go ahead, go ahead, let's see, oh, fluffing my pillow, okay, all right, yeah, that camera's crazy, it's like all angled and, but it's still crooked on the, that looks pretty good, no, looks great, I don't know, I can't see anything, it looks better, it looks fine, yeah, it's still a little crooked, Yeah, just a little.

Oh, if I said it this way. I don't know what it is. I don't know. It's crooked.

Oh, no, no. Right there. Right there. Freeze.

Don't move. Justice must read the rules and complete the required online training, which teaches participants how to identify Burmese pythons. Do you guys know what a Burmese python looks like? Yes.

I can't believe I just switched to Mikey's chin. Yes. Yes. Yes, I do know what a Burmese python looks like.

Native snags, plus safe handling and humane killing methods. You have to kill it humanely. Like with a machete? I don't know.

Can't you just walk around with a shotgun and shoot them when you see them? Machete! I don't... I don't know.

Like, what's the... The pictures, they always show them wrestling them. I'm not gonna wrestle it, I'm just gonna kill it. Wrestling them?

I'm not very humane when I... Yeah, they, like, jump on them like they're alligators in the water, and then there's a picture of them with them wrapped around their arms and their legs and stuff. Yeah, I'm not Conganese, dude. Conganese.

Participants must pass the quiz with a score of at least 85%. You have to score 85 on the alligator killing and identification quiz. Oh, so you need to know what they look like. And how to kill them.

And how to kill them. Humanely. How does that warrant an 85? I mean, you either get a 50 or 100, right?

Well, either they kill you or I kill them. That's the way I'm looking at it. It's a dog-eat-dog event, you know, one or the other. How do you guys exist without me?

I mean, look at how much nicer this is. Look at this presentation. It's amazing. Cameras are nice.

Well, I haven't been here for a little bit, so I didn't exist for a second. " No, that's not true. No, no, no. We all know that.

Yeah. Registration is $25 per individual. While people can work as a team, participants must register individually. Prices are determined based on submissions from individuals, not based on submissions.

So if we three go and do it as a team, there's a fight for who actually killed it. And then what do you get? $10,000. I mean, if we fought as a team and we got a dub, we would just split that.

Yeah, but if I say I killed all of them, I would get the whole 10. But I would let that happen if we split it. Huh? If we split it?

If we split it, we all get like $3,330. Correct. You got a problem with that? No, but I get $7,000 more if I kill one myself.

Oh, you're for yourself now. Yeah, huh. Michael, hold that up while I shoot it, Ted. Tables have turned a little bit.

You've been gone a long time. Now you're a little more selfish, I see. I see a little Greg rubbed off on you. Me, me, me, money, money.

Participants must follow a competition rule. Money, there's no money here. Do you have a shopping list, I assume, from seeing their podcast equipment? Do I have a shopping list?

From seeing the Creekside guys' equipment? Do they have better equipment? No. That was a question.

No? Oh, that's nice. Did you, while we were gone, did you swim in Greg's money pool? No, I'm still not invited to the house, I'm an employee.

You're the one who went to the house with the steak and the lobster and the clams and stuff. Participants must follow competition rules and specific area regulations for the eight competition locations. Alright, we get it. Okay, moving on.

Big Cypress, Everglades, Everglades. This is like your snake bike? Frog Pond. On the last episode, you kept going on the snake thing, and I'm like… Rocky Glades.

I had to fill time that show, and it was still only 48 minutes. I know, I know. 5, right? Yeah, right.

Because like, I mean, listen… So, what do you feel? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. And this isn't me attacking Charles. Right, no, no, no.

He did a good job, and he came in, yeah, last-minute fill. Because it is, and I don't know what he said afterwards, but it is tough. When you're not kind of acclimated to this and just opening and having conversations and just kind of picking your spots to talk, It's extremely challenging. Yeah.

Rocky Glades Small Game. Yeah. Rockenburger Wildlife. Get out of here.

Let's go. Moving on. And Southern Glades Wildlife. I'm all in.

I just spent the last five minutes making you look beautiful. At least respect me to a point. I did. The king has returned.

I'm at the next show. Let's move on. Can you cut the snake up into steaks? No.

Would Mikey like that more? You can eat snake. I've had snake. Yeah, like little fillets.

I mean, it's a big snake, so. I mean, I don't care. I'll eat it. That's all I do.

I ate it. Like, sure. You just don't eat the skin. Yeah, okay.

Skin's bad for you? It doesn't taste good. It's too tough. Yeah, it's too tough.

It doesn't taste good. It's like leather. Have you had it on the Traeger? Snake?

No, I had it on what I assumed they cooked it in a wok, I'm guessing. Oh, Japanese snake. Well, Chinese snake. Yeah.

Oh, sorry. A Louisiana woman is facing criminal charges. Police say she took revenge on her ex-boyfriend by allegedly sending his intimate photos and videos to his new girlfriend. - Wow.

- Sounds like a breakup. - It's not like a bad breakup. - I think this all the way through. - Right.

Investigators say the images and videos were shared without the man's consent, leading to her arrest under Louisiana laws that prohibit the non-consensual distribution of private sexually explicit material, often referred to as revenge porn. Right. So, in Louisiana, that's illegal. In Florida, not yet.

It's not? Nope. We can do it? You can send it.

I feel like that's like defamation or something. Okay, but, so, I agree with the fact that you shouldn't do it. Right, you shouldn't do it. This is the first time I've heard about a woman doing it, though.

Okay. I'm sure it's more common than you think. Yeah, they seem more like the type. Really?

Okay, go ahead. -Yeah. -Okay, so, I agree that it's wrong, and I agree that there should be some type of punishment for it, because you shouldn't do it, right? However, like, how bad is that?

Like, hey, before I was with so-and-so, and she just sent you my sex videos, or whatever, right? -Right. -I assume she got them, and then it's more like, look what I just got. - Right, and it's like, oh, that was with my ex.

- Oh, that's my ex. - And then maybe you make her-- - If you could do that, too, then you'd be nice. - Right, when you say, hey-- - What'd you think? - She's pretty hot, wasn't she?

- You know, you treat, you're breaking, no, you're breaking down, but like, you see, this is where things went wrong, right? Like, this is, right, like, X, Y, Z. - Bad angle, bad angle. - See the lack of flexibility here?

- Yeah. - Right, if you could stretch more before we do-- - Some yoga with me in the morning. - We wouldn't have the same problem that she's having right here. See right here, right?

This is what went wrong. That's a pulled muscle. Right there. Right.

Days. I was out for days. I was out for days. Cases like this are becoming more common as states continue to strengthen laws aimed at protecting people's digital privacy.

While breakups can be emotional, law enforcement says sharing intimate images without someone's permission can carry serious legal consequences, including arrest, fines, and even jail time. I just don't understand why you would ever record it. You've never made a sex video or taken dirty pictures or anything? No.

First of all, he's not going to admit it on the show. He's not going to admit it? No. Nobody should admit it on the show, first of all.

Why? What's the big deal? We're all in long-term relationships. I do like seeing your face right now, because that means...

Well, I have. I mean, I'm not afraid to admit it. Right. My wife and I used to live 17 hours apart when we were dating.

Right. So, I mean, you know, there was things that went back and forth. You know, a little spank-bank? A little spank-bank?

Maybe. You sent her pics of... BDP. BDP?

Oh, if she asks, sure. Did she ask? Sometimes, yeah. So you sent BDP?

I sent BDP. Thank God AI wasn't around then. Right? This looks nothing like...

I don't remember this at all. This is not how I remember this thing looking. This is very... Is that thing clipping your toenails?

Is it moving? Is it moving? Yeah. The case serves an end of the And another reminder that once private images are shared without consent, it can quickly become a criminal matter.

Let's see what she got, oh, oh, five years. Is it something completely different? Up to five years or something? Is that what it is?

I would guess. That seems reasonable. I feel like it's Louisiana, it's gonna give it like 20. No way.

20. Tell us. I don't know what, look, I mean, five years in prison is not reasonable, but if that was like the maximum, that means like somebody did something vigorous and like really, He really, really over the top. Yeah, like Bukkake.

Ooh, wow, I wasn't going there, but uh... Yeah, if I'm the woman, that's not a little flattering video I'm sending to anybody. Yeah, Phil starts breaking down all the videos experience that he's had from all of his shows. Right, oh, it's different movies and stuff, right.

Yeah, that's why he doesn't, it's like, I don't see what the big deal is, you know. Right, I did that yesterday. Yeah, it was regular. I mean, it wasn't my baby, they just said, but I was gone for a week.

Yeah. Wow. Phil has a baby. That's right, the news of your new movie will come out tomorrow.

Right. I'm sure. I'm back. I gave you a good day, so I figured I'd do that tomorrow.

All right, moving on. Okay. According to court documents reported by Fox 9, Peden entered, this is a man's name, P-E-D-E-N, Peden, entered a neighbor's detached garage on May 6th, cut off his own penis with a kitchen knife, poured gasoline on it, and set it on fire on the garage floor inside the door. I actually heard about this.

Really? Yeah. You're watching other news shows, Michael? No, I don't even know where I heard this.

I was sent this story. He then walked away. Maybe somebody sent it to me, too. He then walked away, encountered police, and told them he'd been stabbed somewhere in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Investigators collected a red plastic gas container, four lighters, and a kitchen knife from the garage. Four lighters. Apparently, they're not very stupid. Right.

They don't burn that easily, apparently, even with gas on them. The stabbing claim did not hold up long after that. Well, what did he get stabbed right in the crotch? Stabbed?

You said cut off. He did, but he told the police he was stabbed. This guy is out of his mind. I think it was a conversation that we were having in the circle at Creekside.

I can't believe this guy cut off his... Hey, when you guys want to cut your penis off and burn it right here? Is that what it was? Things get crazy at Creekside at late at night.

I don't think so. I can't believe this guy cut off his wing ding and then watched it burn. And then walked out like nothing. Yeah, like the bleeding wasn't enough?

I love the guy's mentally unstable. Peden Sutz subsequently told investigators he had been dishonest about the stabbing. I lied about the stabbing. I just wanted to know.

I did it. He wanted to be truthful according to court documents. He was charged with arson, a level four felony, and has a court hearing scheduled for next week. And possession of cocaine.

He allegedly did to himself is legally distinct from what he's accused of doing in the garage, and it's the garage that got him arrested. Oh, so it's okay to cut your own penis off and burn it, just not in someone else's garage. Oh, it was somebody else's garage? It was somebody else's garage.

That's a big no-no. Yeah. They're cutting off. We're completely fine with it.

Do whatever you gotta do. Do whatever you do. Cut it off, burn it, just not in somebody else's house. What?

That's like attempted suicide. Is there a lot of blood vessels down there and stuff? I mean... I don't know, no.

You're the expert. Guys, you do know. You have one. You're the vascular pro.

Yeah, you're the... Well, I... You're making Mr. Video over there.

You know. I didn't cut it off for any of the videos. Nope. Okay.

Never mind. Indiana law defines arsonist as knowingly or intentionally damaging property by means of fire, including burning your own penis. Oh, my goodness. He technically accomplished that.

He just used the most unexpected delivery system in documented history. The property owners told police a neighbor woke them up to alert them to the fire and that they noticed a family member, Peden, was missing. Oh, he was visiting someone. So it was like his uncle's house.

Do you think he like took something? Yeah. " You know what I mean? Right.

One? Like-- Oh, yeah, eat this gummy. All of a sudden he's thinking, like-- It's talking. Like, yeah, maybe it was worse than that.

Maybe like, you know, he thought it was snacks or something. Oh, like an LSD gummy. Oh, accidentally ate something? He just kind of housed a bunch of them or something.

So it was like LSD. " Right. " I need to cut this off and burn it. There's a Muppet in my pants.

I mean, a steak knife, he had to saw it off. Oh my God, with the sound? It's not going to be quiet. It's screaming as he's cutting it.

Dude, you're making me. No motive for the garage fire has been publicly established. No explanation for the self-amputation has been offered, which is arguably the more pressing of the two unanswered questions. He was taken to a hospital, the garage sustained fire damage, The kitchen knife, the gas cannon, the four lighters are now sitting in the evidence locker somewhere in Fort Wayne.

Whatever Christopher Peden was trying to accomplish on the night of May 6th, the legal system is now tasked with making sense of it. It was the craziest video on OnlyFans, that's what that was. Oh, they had like a ring camera and they saw everything on the camera. Oh.

Oh, it says that? No, I said what if... Oh. I don't know, let's go, come on.

Moving on. Get away from the wing-ding. Get away from the... Oh, I did see the thumbnail for this one.

Phil's going to be sitting at a campfire. Oh, great. Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Alright, did you guys watch the Conor McGregor 39-second fight?

I did. 39 seconds? I think that's what it was, wasn't it? I did.

No, it was like five. Conor McGregor famously suffered a blown-out knee 13 years ago with his first UFC meeting against Max Holloway. More than a decade later, he did it again. Yeah, he tore his ACL, I think, or something like that.

McGregor's much-hyped MMA return after five years away ended in disappointment on Saturday in Las Vegas as the former two-division champion suffered what appeared to be another blowout knee in the opening seconds of the first fight of 2021. Oh, since 2021. I'm looking at the bar here, and you're definitely louder, so I'm just going to order another one of those mics. I thought we'd already decided that.

But now I just announced it on the show. He's at 19. I checked the... No, it's not even, yeah, but it's just, I'm looking at the, like, I listened to the last show and Greg sounded lower.

And then the last show he did, he was louder than me and Greg. Yeah. So, we're just gonna, we're gonna fix this. The official result was a Holloway victory in just 69 seconds.

Let's give it up for Conor McGregor. Holloway said afterwards to a booing T-Mobile arena, "What an absolute animal when we were in here. " Was that when he was scooting around on the floor? Scooting around on the floor.

He said, fight, fight, let's go. Yeah. He didn't want to... He can't stand up.

So what? Just kick him at that point. He's like, hey, he's halfway down. Okay.

But you guys are lucky because there's going to be a Holloway versus McGregor 3. We'll see, yeah. It's to be determined. Let's get this effin' money, boys, he said.

He did say that. What can I say? Holloway added, I have him weak in the knees, I guess. When he said, let's get this effin' money, I was like, ah, that's a little tacky.

Yeah, I heard he still got paid. He should have paid. Of course he should have. No, no, McGregor still made like an outrageous amount of money.

I mean, okay, I could understand that. You can't control what happens. I mean, okay, like, how old is Conor McGregor? He's gotta be 37, almost 40.

How old is Conor McGregor? Let's see here. He's 37 years old. Yeah, there you go.

So look, he's at that age, that realization where, you know, you can't move at the same level that you thought you were, and the only way that that happens is something like this, right? So, like, it's unfortunate, it sucks, and I would have loved to see the fight, but this guy is one of the best showmen ever in UFC. Yeah, he is. And he's a tremendous draw.

And whether you love him or you hate him, you want to see him fight, right? Right. So it sucks the way that it ended, but I'm going to tell you, I hope he comes back. I hope to see it, you know, to see him again, even.

And, you know, part of me, I feel for this guy. He's just, he's getting older, right? And this is, this is tough. Being at that level as you get older at a fighting caliber, it's difficult.

You cannot do the things that you could do when you were in your twenties. It's just not, it's just not possible. So he's, he's, I didn't watch, uh, hardly any of you just saw some clips. So when he kicked is how he popped it, he didn't like get hit in the knee?

Yeah. He came in, there's a lot of speculation. That's all bullshit. He came in, he, you know what, dude?

Look, there's a lot of speculation about everything in this world. You know what I mean? He got shot? Somebody shot him in the knee?

No, they're saying that he was hurt prior to, and blah, blah, blah, blah. I don't buy that for a second. He came in, he went, he did like a big wild kick, he landed on his right leg wrong, and you saw it pop. Oh, and he landed on it.

Yeah, he landed at a bad angle. " And I saw him do the kick, and then I saw him fall, so I thought the leg he kicked with was the one that popped. So he landed. Correct.

Yeah, it's plant foot. Is that the same? Didn't he break a leg last time or something? Ankle or something?

Ankle or something. Oh, was it the same leg? I think so. Yeah, it was the same one.

Yeah, but you know. Could he wear a brace or is that illegal in MMA? I don't think he can wear a brace. Maybe he could.

Maybe he could wrap it up or something. I don't know. Might be a wise decision. But either way, dude, you know, like I hate the hate.

That is just the annoying part for me. " Like, you know. So, let's say he did get hurt prior. Well, they're both old.

And he canceled the fight, he wouldn't have got paid anything. Is that the fact? I would assume so. You can see it pop in the- No, no.

I'm not saying he did. I was just asking the question. Yeah. He doesn't need the money.

He's okay. Well, you always need the money. We've had this conversation before. You always want the money.

I guess, I guess. I mean, he's making bad cigars. He's got to pay for him something. He is.

" Because he wants to deliver a show. He does. Okay. The monetization isn't the number one thing.

2 million. Yeah. Wow. All right, on to cigar news.

All right. Okay, yeah. Topper Ships 1984 Broadleaf Shoreys. Oh.

, has a handful of new releases. Some are part of a new line, while others are a new Vitola for the company, and one cigar is a combination of both. The Topper 1894 Broadleaf is the new regular production line, a spin-off from the Topper 1894 line, which is named after the year in which the company was founded. Not anybody's age or their height or their weight or shoe size.

Okay, well, I gotta tell you this. Have you ever heard of Topper? Is there something else named Topper? I have heard the brand Topper.

Topper's Pizza. No, it wasn't pizza. Topper? Topps Baseball Cards?

I mean, there's a lot of Topps. Oh, maybe I'm thinking of Topps Baseball Cards, that is it, yes. Do they also make the baseball cards? I don't think this would be separate companies.

So it's the longest American-made cigars ever? Ever. Started in 1894. And we've never heard of them.

Continually produced. And we've never heard of them? Well, we're not really in the industry, so. You know what I'm saying?

Right. Greg probably has heard of them. Like what are, you know, hmm, it's not the best look, I'm just saying. It uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, grown in Connecticut, over a Dominican Binder and Dominican Grow Connecticut Broadleaf Seed Fillers, it's offered in four Vitolas, the other two SKUs are also Shorty Cigars, a four and a quarter by 43 Petite, because the man's four feet and a quarter inches tall, and he's 43 years old.

Corona Vitola for the company's lines, there is an 1894 Shorty, the original blend, which is priced at? , Michael, keep that in mind. Okay, nine dollars. Six, six dollars.

50. Oh. Well, the new Topper 125th anniversary is priced at, one more time, $7. $6.

50. Bangers. The Context, the original Topper 1894 line, which was released in 2024, The cigar uses a Habano Seed wrapper grown in Sugar Valley, Pennsylvania, all the good tobacco comes from Sugar Valley, all of it, allegedly, it's very sweet, all the sugar tips, over the Dominican-grown Connecticut broadleaf fillers, topper cigars are produced by De Los Reos in Dominican Republic, the new item has a launch party, it was last week we made it, Mickey Blanks in southern Connecticut and been shipping to stores nationwide as of July 9th, okay, so I guess we're not getting that, I guess not. - No.

- Damn it. Les Fiennes releases the La Petite Flying Tiger Limited Edition. - Flying Tiger. - This is a accessory department, or accessory company, sorry, department.

A new release from Les Fiennes was created in honor to honor a legendary squadron of American pilots who fought in World War II. The French-based accessories company has announced the Les Petite by Les Fiennes Flying Tiger Limited Edition, a new colorway for the company's cigar knife. They make one of those knives with the little half-moon thing in it. - Like 13 knives?

- Yeah, like that one. Except this one painted black, and so it tapers down to the little end where the piece of metal sticks out. - Yeah. - And they did it so it looks like the front of the fighter jets from World War II.

- Oh, that's cool. - With the teeth and stuff going down the side. - Oh, very fancy. - Yeah, it's very nice.

There's an MSRP of $199 in the US, and-- - American dollars! - Yes, and $199 in Europe, so they don't care about an exchange rate, it's always the same. Well, just when you're charging 200, you know what I'm saying? Right.

Like, who cares? A total of 250 individually numbered knives are being released to commemorate the famous squadron. Each cutter features a shark face that was inspired by the art that adorned the aircraft in the first American volunteer group. Oh, we had a volunteer air force.

I was not aware. Do you think it sells well in Europe? It looks pretty cool. Yeah, but still.

Yeah, because it's, well, it's a French company selling an American memorabilia. It's kind of weird. It's kind of weird. I guess if you dig like America.

World War II or World War I stuff and everything, maybe. What year was that? What year was it? They just come out?

Now. No, no, no. I'm sorry. We were remembering these guys for which war?

First American volunteer group knows the Flying Tigers. It doesn't say. I thought you said World War II. It must be two.

I don't think in one they had airplanes. Yeah. Yeah. Not fighter jets type things.

It must be two. I thought that that was the whole one of the big things with Nazi Germany or whatever. They had, you know. Oh, the German guys?

The Blitzkrieg strikes and stuff. We like the German guys. Blitzkrieg. We don't like the German guys.

We beat the shit out of them. The guys that make the German cigars. Oh, we like them. We like them.

Oh. Okay. They have a really cool accent. In addition, the newest release is the first time that the Les Fines has released a cutter with an armor-back Cerakoted blade.

Oh. So it's bulletproof. So, do you think Rooks made these? Possible.

Possible. The first American volunteer group was made up of pilots from the United States, Army Air Corps, the Navy, and the Marine Corps. So, now you are a Navy guy that never got an airplane too, just so you know. Well, back in World War II, that should have been the Army Air Corps, not the Air Force.

Army Air Corps. Okay, can somebody correct him? Because that's usually what happens when he says military stuff. I don't think the Air Force is creative.

Team Money, we need you. Team Money, we need you. Operating from 1941 to 1942, the group consisted of three fighter squadrons, each including 30 aircraft, tasked with defending the Republic of China against Japanese forces. You should know that.

You know Chinese. I don't know Chinese history. Wow, so we defended you guys? They tell it different over there.

You better be nice to us. That's why they make us the little toys. That's why we all need to get along. We all need to get along.

So all their stuff is made in China. Here's how you make Donald toys. Functionally, this new cutter is identical to the dozens of other models that they make. It's just painted differently.

Oh. The differences are the handle design and the blade material. The La Petite works by opening the knife blade from the body, which reveals a half-moon cutout. I'm glad there are instructions on how this works.

Lovely. They also cut up to a 70 ring gauge. Big cigar. Dang.

The knife works by opening the knife blade from the body, which reveals a half-moon. Wait, I read this. They also make a Flying Tiger-branded Duo Cigar Case. Lovely.

Solid black with the same shark face. Okay. Each of the cases are how much? The cases?

Two cigars. Two cigars. Two cigars. Leather.

Very shiny. Shiny leather? Shiny leather. It's been polished.

I'll go first. Okay. Wait, are you giving me freedom dollars or pound? Or euros?

Sorry, it's euros. I thought you said it was... We're going to go Freedom Dollars. Okay, Freedom Dollars.

Yeah, we're in America. I'm going to go 50 bucks. I'm going to say 200 dollars. You went too far the right way, but you're closer, 125.

125. Oh, you beat me by 25 bucks. I was going to say 115, but... Oh.

And in the Euro market, it's still 125. Yeah. So it's more expensive over there. I don't know.

I mean, it's the exact same. I don't know what the exchange rate is. Isn't, you know, euros is worth more? This is, on this, this is an even swap.

It's 125 American or 125 euros. Or 250, whatever it was. Both items are currently available for sale on the company's website and shipping by the Les Fines retailers. The United States dollar is worth more than one euro.

At current market value. So it's less money. So if you buy it over there, you save money. About 14 cents per dollar right now.

So it'll be 14 times 125. So it's 14% less. Oh, I'm going to buy mine there. Yeah, so you save what, 15 bucks, 16 bucks?

14. 125? Oh, 125, yeah. Yeah, 125.

Alright, so it'll be on the CHPod website. No, it won't. Oh, no, we're not selling it. Oh, no, no, it's not.

That's completely wrong. Sorry, we're not selling it. That's how we know. You say like 17 and change?

Yeah. You could sell them for a full price and buy them in the European market. Oh, we're dominant. We'd crush them.

We'd crush them. You would need somebody to buy them. That's the problem. Yeah.

Oh. No more selling t-shirts. We're just selling these things. We're doing it.

We're doing it. And you can comment on the show there, too. Yeah. All right.

Now it's time to play the industry's favorite game. What's the score? Players hear clues from a Half Wheel Cigar Review and try to predict the score before it's revealed. As more details are shared, the challenge gets easier.

Or does it? The closest guess to the actual score wins the round. Can you read between the lines and predict the score? Bing bong.

By the way, my guy, shout out to Fred Rouet. Oh. Yeah, go ahead. Who recently, go ahead.

No, no, no, I'll say it after, go ahead. who recently reviewed the Postana Sumatra Grand Toro. What do you think it got, Phil? I mean, I would expect nothing less than 100.

Okay, that's a good shot. But I'm guessing... He sent it to me. Okay.

But I'm guessing he probably did a 93? 91. 91. That's good.

I mean, that's a good score, but it should be higher. Sorry for it. Two things, Dad. Actually, he did not review it.

It was his partner reviewed it. Four reviewed it? Thor reviewed it. Nice.

Because I thanked him. He goes, don't thank me. It was Thor. That's even better.

I said, well, I like him better anyway. Yeah. And then if he had not, if you had not already seen it, I was going to add it into the game. But then I saw you posted it.

I did. So he showed it to you too. So if they have reviews too, I might work some of their reviews in every now and then just to mix it. Maybe we need to do that.

Yeah. Maybe we need to start working in cigar presses as well. Sure. And then I'll say reviewed by so-and-so of cigar press or so-and-so.

Since, you know, the last one, question mark from Charlie. Right, I don't know. Doink. I think it was either today or yesterday, the review for The Catastrophic Failure came up in my Facebook memories.

Yeah. So, I mean, it's almost date to date. Yeah, '90? Yeah.

The '90. All right, this cigar for July 12th, 2026, Charlie Monado Cigars, the Hoya de Nicaragua, limited edition Hoya de Nicaragua, Clasico Original Green Room. Oh, Seleccion, sorry. I didn't hit the button.

" And I'm gonna say worse, however, yeah, I'm just gonna go 80. Philip? Hoya, for some reason a lot of people like these. Okay.

So I'm going to go 87. All right. The Cigar Reviewed is the Hoya De Nicaragua Classico, Original Green Room Selection, Country of Origin is Nicaragua, Factory, Fabrica de Tobacco, Hoya De Nicaragua, Wrapper, Ecuador, Connecticut Seed, Binder, Nicaraguan Filler, Nicaraguan Length, 6x54, 1350, and they smoked 3. 86, 87, and I'm not doing the correct thing, but I'm gonna go 87, I said 87 to begin with.

Clue number one, the flavor complexity really stands out, layers of cream, toasted bread, nuts, black tea, berries, and wood keep evolving throughout the smoke, making it a cigar that's engaging from first light to the nut. Cigar Habib, 89. Have you ever had black tea? Yes.

It's not, it's not good. No, they don't have sugar in China either, so. Yeah. Suffer that stuff, Don.

Yeah. 87. I'm sticking 87. Clue number two.

Construction sounds impressive overall. Even with a few touch-ups, the draw stayed consistent, the smoke production remained strong, And the cigar delivered nearly three hours of enjoyable smoking. The smoke is strong. 90.

Smoky, smoky. Ooh. You're increasing slowly. 87.

Third clue. The biggest drawback seems to be the burn performance. Needing multiple touch-ups during the second third combined with an uneven burn and slower combustion. Takes away from what otherwise a very flavorful experience.

Forty-Seven. What? Half. I must have missed something on one of the other show.

Well, when it has burn-in, she's like... Yeah. No. Throw it away.

Right in the ground. Um... Eighty-five. Final thought.

If there's a recipe for a successful half-wheel review, it's Hoya de Nicaragua, making Mike Cigars with a Connecticut Seed Wrapper. While not rising to the epic levels that led to the company's earning back-to-back Cigar of the Year honors from the website, the green room selection is quite good. It delivers a lot of flavors of a classic Connecticut-wrapped cigar, but with added nuances and perhaps most importantly, didn't have the flavor profile fall apart at the end like so many other milder cigars tend to do. For me, I think I'll remember the cigar most for its ability to operate within a very He's got a very specific range, always seemingly vibrating back and forth through the upper and lower ends of the range, but never going outside of the narrow approach the flavor had.

Well, that and the very good story behind the name. Ninety. He kind of threw me off there. Ninety?

That's what he said, Hawkman. That's what I said. Murca. 87.

What did you say? 90. He wins! It's 90!

Whoa, whoa, whoa. He got it on the head. Boom! Shakalaka!

Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh. Chair. Chair is pushed out too far. The chair was in the sparks.

Um, 88, 88. Oh, God, that's broken. I just dropped Greg's wallet. We're kind of out of time, do you want to do another one?

Yeah, let's keep it going. All right, second cigar. Fuck them guys, I'm sure. April 1st, 2020, Charlie Minato, this is the Daughters of the Wind Cremello.

Daughters of the Wind. Daughters of the Wind. 2029, what year was it from the future? I'm sorry, 2020.

Okay. Carly Manado, Casa Degla Cigars. Casa Degla, Degli? Phil.

85. At best, you could time me today. It's from Costa Rica. 87.

The cigar reviewed is the Daughters of the Wind. Cremelo. From Costa Rica, Tabaco de la Cordillera. Cordillera?

Corkadillio? C-O-R. Corkadillio. Rapper, Costa Rican.

Binder, Costa Rican. Filler. Dominican Carmelo. There's a Dominican tobacco called Carmelo.

Carmelo. Yeah, it's Carmelo Anthony's tobacco. And Peru, Pinar. 5 by 39 Lancero.

$19. There you go. Smoke three. I like the size, but I don't like the tobacco.

You like the Lancero? Somebody asked me the other day if we had Lancero. Let's go 82. We have a Churchill.

84. Comment number one. You should have the Lancer. When the draw cooperated, this cigar really shined.

Ooh, I'm not going to say when. The Cuban-inspired profile with notes of cedar, dark chocolate, honey, nuts, and subtle spices showed impressively depth and complexity. 85. 87.

Clue number two: I appreciate how unique some of the flavor transitions were. Pistachio, carrot cake, cinnamon, whiskey, and honey aren't tasty notes you find every day. Making for a memorable smoking experience when everything came together. Come together, right now.

Daughters of the Camarillo. 87. 87. That's what I said.

Oh. 87. Oh. I'm also saying 87.

You know, just come in here and take my number. Clue number three. Unfortunately. Desafortunadamente.

The persistent construction and draw issues overshadowed the blend. Uh-oh. Constant relights, tight air flow, having to over-smoke the cigar prevented his full... What's over-smoking a cigar?

Uh, when you've got to stay on top of it to keep achieving. Oh. Prevented his full potential from coming through. That's it, apparently.

The last one got a 90 for non-combustion, so. Yeah, well, not me. 80? 82.

Final thought. Let's say final. There are moments when the Daughters of the Wind Carmelo show signs of being fantastic. But he couldn't make it longer than a half a dozen puffs without thinking about the draw.

In the end, it's a frustrating way to smoke a cigar from a brand whose cigars I've otherwise really enjoyed. It's tough to say much about the flavor as it definitely has impacted, but I could write paragraphs about the construction, all ending in the same place. Not good. While the cigar lost points for its construction issues, our score sheet will likely produce a number that is higher than my actual enjoyment was because at the end of the day, I was able to smoke the cigar from start to finish.

Just with a lot of help from a lighter. Eighty-four. Eighty-three. You went the right way.

Seventy-three. Yeah, I thought it was going to be in the seventies. Wow. It's not working.

Hold on. Watch my ray gun. No. There is my ray gun.

Okay, I don't know what's going on here, guys. Can we stop? I don't know. It's a weird thing you're having over there.

You keep hitting the button. Good thing it didn't go up. You're farting all over the place and you got to ignite yourself. Sorry.

Sorry. Stop. That was him! No, it wasn't me.

Dude. Ridiculous, guys. All right. He wins.

He wins again. I win again. Let him keep his thunder for right now. He wins again.

Yeah. Thank you. Welcome back, Cotta. Anything else to add?

No, I got nothing. Like and subscribe if you're reviewing and listening to the show. com for all your chpod swag, where the auction for Phil's Butterfly Mask is currently in. How long does that go?

I'm sorry. $36, and it'll end at the end of the month. Oh, we need it for 30 days. Oh, the end of July.

Correct. Okay. Now that I lost my train of thought since I was interacting. You were saying goodbye to everything.

You know what I also enjoyed about the shows when I was gone is that Greg almost wanted to kill you as well. Sure. Yeah. So at least at that point you had to reflect and say, oh, okay, maybe it's not just him.

Oh no, it's me. Yeah. But I can't help it. I blurred things out.

Okay. com, like and subscribe, cigars, blah, blah, blah, blah, you got to hit that one. - That's it, man. com - That's all I got, man, there was something else, but thank you guys, I appreciate you, it's good to be home.
