ACHP 580 Epstein Files, Chick-fil-A Gets Hacked, Secret Service Is So Busy!

Episode Summary
Episode 580 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast opens with hosts Mike "BDP" Palmer, Mike Szczepankevicz and producer Phil McGuffey working through listener comments from the CHPod.com chat board and YouTube — including a great note from a New Zealand listener detailing what it's like to buy cigars there (roughly USD $1.15 per gram in excise duty, no cigar lounges, and tobacconists legally barred from recommending cigars or letting customers into the humidor). They also plug CHPod swag, the ongoing Phil butterfly-mask charity auction, the Patreon retailer-101 episode, and the continuing "fake T-Money" saga that spun out of Palmer's Creekside interview.
The news block is heavy on current events: the death of Jean-Luc "modeling scout" figure Daniel Saeed, who recruited women for Jeffrey Epstein and was under investigation by French human-trafficking prosecutors when he was found dead near Paris; a Chick-fil-A credential-stuffing breach affecting loyalty accounts across ten states (names, emails, Chick-fil-A One membership numbers, mobile pay/QR codes, last four of cards and gift card balances); an OpenAI agent that escaped its test sandbox and autonomously probed Hugging Face's internal systems; and a reported 40% year-over-year jump in Secret Service threat cases against protected officials, which the guys tie to widening economic divides and a shrinking middle class. Palmer also riffs at length on running multiple Claude terminals to rebuild a youth flag football site, the AI-driven job displacement two of his friends experienced, and why adapting to the tools beats fighting them.
Cigar news covers J.C. Newman shipping the Brick House Maduro Commodore, a 5.5x70 Gordo with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, rolled in Estelí at $11.50 in boxes of 25 — plus Drew Newman's note that Brick House alone hand-rolls 1.1 million of the 6 1/4 x 60 Mighty Mighty annually, prompting a real debate about whether the 70 cannibalizes the 60 or recruits new smokers. They also cover the Somm Premier Cru Petra 2 ($30, 1,027 cigars, Small Batch exclusive), made at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco in Honduras by simply inverting the 7-year Jalapa binder and 14-year Estelí wrapper of the original — a concept they mercilessly roast before realizing Small Batch is the exclusive retailer. Rounding out the segment: Cavalier Genève's 10th anniversary Project releases, including a 6 1/4 x 52 Toro Extra box pairing Oscuro and Claro Habano wrappers from Honduras' Jamastrán Valley with eight fillers, at $24.60 per cigar / $344.40 per 14-count box, plus a companion humidor set with a CVSTOS Swiss watch.
The show closes with "What's the Score?", featuring Brooks Whittington-era halfwheel's 2013 review of the Drew Estate Nica Rustica pre-release ($6.95, 6x52 Toro, Connecticut Broadleaf over Mexican San Andrés Negro and Nicaraguan filler). Despite clues hinting at a repetitive final third, the cigar scored a 94 — and the crew uses it to discuss how long-running blends drift from their original profile, why they were let down by the Nica Rustica Belly (blue) and the 60-ring version, and the pending Connecticut variant.

This is a show like no other. This is a Cigar Hustlers Podcast. Ah, we need like a dun-da-dum, but that doesn't have buttons on it anymore. It does.
Dun-da-dum. There's no programmable buttons. Yeah. I think if you just, I think you can do a mixing board.
Oh, God. Another thing. Yeah, we're not doing that. You just ask for it.
I'll add it in. I'll add it in on post-production. It'll be fine. He just wanted it.
You said he wanted it. Let's get into today's show. Can we just go back to the other board that had everything in it? You couldn't change the cameras on that window.
Wait until I get that new light for you. Epstein is back in the news. Uh-oh. God's chicken needs a better firewall.
Uh-oh. OpenAI has attacked OpenAI. Oh, I'm so glad that you covered this, because I saw the highlight, the headline, and I have no idea what it's about. S.
Secret Service is very, very busy. And in cigars, we have a shipping notification, a new cigar, the PCA buys a circus and a pony ride. Another one. And finally, what's the score?
But first, Mikey, how do we get some of the CHPod swag? And I have joined the chat board. Ah, I saw. Like and subscribe, we're reviewing and listening to this show.
com for all your CHPod swag, where you buy one, you get the second one 40% off. Your boy Sweeney, he picked up five shirts yesterday. hey yeah he picked up five and he sent in next month's mask he did are we using that well i mean unless we get one from hasselhoffman for next month i think the one he's been working on i think is for december gotcha gotcha oh well that might work out i thought that's why he's doing that one for the thing that's going to go on then gotcha i thought i was getting one that I have like no nose or whatever. That is the next one he's making, but Sweeney.
It's not till December? Either way, we got, listen. Maybe November. Listen, December's gonna fly.
We're, you're already at the end of July. August is around, we're, Halloween is practically here. Oh, it's, it's, it's not, it's August. It's practically here.
Practically. Almost. You're gonna blink. No, you might, you know what, you might not blink, because as of right now, You got shit diapers, and peeing, and crying, and all that stuff, and, you know, late nights, but you said that the baby only wakes up at 11:00.
Yeah, but you were just trying to fast forward through me and Palmer's birthday. Oh, yeah, we had the September. That's why you're saying September? Yeah, there's September, August.
A lot happens in September, big one in September. It's a big day. Do you guys remember when you were friends and you guys would celebrate together? That only happened once.
That was awesome. Those days are gone. Those are gone, those are over. So anyway, shout out to Sweeney, San Parai.
Big event, what is today? Today, tomorrow. Big event today. Today.
Big event today. Big event today. Yeah. So there's that.
com, A Cigar Hustlers Podcast was released yesterday. That was a good episode. Yeah. We can get down to some retailer kind of 101.
Some things that you think would be obvious, but they're not. They're not. Clearly they're not. Clearly.
And we reviewed a cigar and some comments. A San Parais cigar. And we did. We did a San Parais.
Speaking of videos while you're looking up that stuff, the guys are really embracing your camera upstairs. Have you seen the quality of the stuff we're producing? Oh yeah, I did. Yeah.
Two videos in the same day. Yeah. They were both good. They were.
And then we get to start tweaking and then we get better. It's going to be awesome. Very excited for that. com site.
Chat board. Chat board. Chat board. Chat board.
Just a couple today. " You didn't have to read that one, that one's not even funny. " I see Palmer has been here with all his bots. I said that yesterday.
Yeah, you read that one yesterday. Yeah, so I can't read that one again. No, I think you'd say there aren't any. All right, nobody used the new blog.
My guy, Kiwi G-Man, said Palmer, his partner, she, who must be obeyed, and his bots can seek sanctuary in God's own. I got to fix this so that it's easier for me to see. And then he's talking about, obviously, New Zealand. " Oh, per gram?
Yeah. A dollar a gram? Yeah. Oof.
They don't even use the right weight system. Right. They're not using ounces. They don't use freedom measurements.
There are no cigar lounges. Wow. And the tobacconist is not allowed to recommend cigars, and no one apart from the tobacconist is allowed to go into the humidor, have a look at, and he's got a website here. You know what?
So there's no lounges, but the tobacconist can't make recommendations? Like I said, at a shop. Yeah, you can recommend stuff, but you... You can buy stuff, but you can't hang out there.
yeah okay looking at our auction i think we're holding fast here guys let's see it's almost over yeah we're getting to the nitty-gritty holding fast at 46 for phil's butterfly mask i mean come on guys let's at least get the 69 that's a weird number you could bid to keep it yeah no yeah you could bid to keep it it expires It goes in eight days, well, seven days and ten hours. Oh. The people need it. So.
Usually what happens with those auctions is like the last couple of like minutes, it goes crazy. Right, yeah, people are holding out and waiting. You think that's going to be the case? Yeah.
Oh, yeah, that's what's going to happen. Yeah, we'll see. I don't know. Let me see if there's any comments on the auction in itself.
Da-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba. Should be at least one. There is. Oh, wow.
Who is it from? Yeah, who is it from? For one, it says, @iHeartBoots. Oh, yeah, so there's more than one.
Hey, Chris, if you win the auction, what will you do to Chris and the mask? I said that yesterday. Christopher Weiss says, @iHeartBoots, you'll have to wait and see. And then the real BDP says, I heard Phil used to wear the butterfly mask and home naked and run around yelling, I'm a Butterfly Princess.
Is that true, Phil? Are you a Butterfly Princess? I heard he did. So it's worth more than you guys think.
I'm a Butterfly Princess. He only wore the mask. For auction purposes, if you guys like me too, sure. Now he 100% did.
100% did. Hey, the shows are three behind. Do you think that could be causing the lack of participation? No.
I don't think so. Okay. What do you mean, as far as episode numbers? No, on the blog, the last one is 576.
Yeah. We're recording 580 right now. Oh. Yeah, Florida man made a comment about it yesterday evening.
Oh, really? Yeah. I didn't even notice. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
I will address that today. With Claw Day. With my Claw Day. I was working on, uh, I was working on the Flag Yeah, I was trying to get the flag football lab going until 2 in the morning, which was awesome.
You know, it's fun for me to do, so whatever. Did Preston come over? Is that what you sort of dragged it out? Yeah, of course.
Yeah, we hung out. Held hands while you? Yeah, the whole time. But I had to use my left hand, so I could still.
Type. Yeah, don't be ridiculous, Palmer. That's what you know. No, is that something that you know well about?
No, it's just, you know. You know? Santa's stocking stuffers over there? No, you just, you know.
Santa's stuffing my stocking. Santa's stuffing my stocking. The new Christmas movie. The new Christmas movie.
I like the geriatrics ones with the direction we were going there. Oh, well, I mean, you know, you shoot them in advance for a later release. Right, makes sense, makes sense. Can't shoot them in December.
He just finished making the Santa stuffing my stocking. Some comments from our previous show. On YouTube? Thank you.
Yeah, on YouTube? Yeah. Yeah, now apparently you have to be a little more specific. I usually am.
I usually am. Yeah. Which one is it? I'm a little rough.
The one on my iPhone, and the iPad, and my computer, and the one on the flag football thing that people are commenting over there for some reason. @LanceFrazier4748 says, "I watched your interview on Creekside and was impressed about how you do so much for the kids. That's someone I want to buy cigars from. I had to hunt down your brand and found Cigar Hustler.
I placed my order there, then later realized it was y'all. " Well, thank you very much, Lance. We appreciate your support. The Creekside guys are awesome.
I think that, you know, I did get some good feedback from, like, the core, like, the actual interview. Right. However, it doesn't, it's not even close in regards to the T-Money war that has manifested out of it. T-Money has embraced it himself and now is posting on his own Instagram.
This is becoming a thing. Yeah, yeah. And then, well, and the Creekside sent me an ad to story of a T-Moo, it said T-Moo T-Money, and it was our T-Money. And there's the option to add story, and I usually like to add things to story, I can't add this one, I can't do it, I can't do it to my guy T-Money, real T-Money.
You pour your heart and your soul out on a podcast, you talk about all of these things. I know. Oh, sorry. And then somebody's a little sore over there apparently.
And the main topic of discussion is the fact that you called one T-Money the fake T-Money. Fake T-Buddy, right. " I've had three, thank you. Yeah, you're adding one.
I'm on my third. Maybe he knows something we don't. Maybe he knows something, you've been talking to my wife. Your total assets are what?
50 bucks? Well, that's it, Greg says I have 25% of my original stuff. Yeah, exactly. This is the marriage police, we have you both surrounded.
Put down the proposal ring and slowly back away. You know, they're just forever passionate and always trying to seek love. Always hopeful. No, no, we're experienced.
Yeah, they're experienced. Right. Hopefully this is the last time for both of them. It seems to be tracking well.
Yeah. @ihearttripleg, AKA Palmer's fake account number eight. At least when Triple G is on the show. Wait, does it say Palmer's fake account number eight?
No. Oh, you added that. Because that would be funny if they started doing that. At least when Triple G's on the show, nothing has to be redacted.
That is not true. Yeah, he says a lot of bad things. Yeah, we've had to twice now. Yeah, he gets edited more than you think.
We just have a really good editor, and you don't pick up on it. Yeah, just a good edit, cutting it right out. " And then I tell him the minute. That gives me the time.
Yeah, I was like, okay, I'll remove that. Yeah, nobody caught the one from Tuesday's show. Yeah, sly, very slick. At Beef Mode 84, whoa guys, Jack in the Box tacos are legendary.
Mmm, beef mode. Uh-huh. So. Yeah, I mean, they were good.
I don't know if I trust you when it comes to fast food. Okay. You will eat gas station sushi, without hesitation. Depends what gas station.
See? Exactly. Exactly. You mean racetrack food?
I don't know. I've never, I've never had, I've never even had jack in the box, so. Oh. You gotta go.
It's down the, it's down the road from your house. Is it towards the highway from his house? It's past the highway, so it's uh. So it's on the other side towards Greg's.
Yeah, it's literally in between his and Greg's house. Do they still have the tacos? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Oh, so that's an ongoing thing. It's not like. No, no, it's a regular. Jack in the Box announces tacos are back.
No, no. No, no, they have a lot of things all year round. I think they even have pizza. That's weird.
Sort of like Sonic. There's an array of different foods you can have. It's not just a burger joke. Right.
You know, the only story I remember about Jack in the Box is back in the day when they had like the salmonella thing. Do you remember that? Yep. And it killed a couple of people.
That was out in California. Yeah. Completely different Jack in the Box. Yeah, that sounds about right, California.
Totally different jack-in-the-box. That's California jack-in-the-box. That's jack-in-the-bag? Yeah, they have different regulations.
Right. A lot easier. The food is the easier regulations. Everything else, much higher.
It killed everybody, but it was energy efficient. That's right. No CO2 emissions. At CW6383, who commented on his wrong account, said, "I gave props to Alex for doing a great job and he wanted to know if he was better than Palmer.
There you go, it's my man. Listen, that is 100% correct. And we love Alex. Yeah.
No, he does a great job. But he's not even contending against Palmer. Yeah, he's not really on the list. He's not even, we're not even like, okay, Palmer or Alex, you know, this is not, this is not.
I'm trying to make a decision on which way to go with the show, so. Like how great, vote some more, how great was Alex, was Alex so great, was he better than, like you don't even, it's like major leagues and not even minor leagues, it's like kid league, you know, yeah, he's peewee level. Da da da dog, ha ha ha da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da da And I told him to be very sad when I read the mark so he's going, oh, I'm so, I'm so, I'm so sad, I'm so sad, I'm so sad, I'm so sad, I'm like, no, just act sad, I have to tell everybody. Florida Man 1888 also did say: I tried to comment on the blog and Phil tried to help.
I can only see, up to episode 576, Help Me Will Roberts. Help Me Will Roberts? Help Me Will Robinson. That's what I thought it was supposed to be.
Yeah, from Lost in Space. Yeah. Good to see Alex back again. Can't wait for the Friday night event.
And Mark Palmer, the stud of CHPOD. Yes. Numero Uno, Sonata. Yes.
com and check out our blog slash comment section that I need to fix that too apparently because I gotta ask Mitchie Maduro what he thinks it needs to say. Also comment below on our YouTube page on this episode and we may read it aloud. On with the show. Now the news!
A modeling scout who recruited women for Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead at his home near Paris. He knew too much. Exactly. Allegedly.
Allegedly. Daniel Saeed, 69, was under investigation by the prosecutor specializing in human trafficking, and Michael's done, he's done in this. I can hear my mic rubbing again. Yeah, I can hear your mic rubbing too.
What, you gotta go pee-pee? I'm thirsty. Was under investigation by the prosecutor specializing in human trafficking in France. And now he's gone.
Can't even defend himself. Did he want to did he commit suicide by stabbing himself 75 years old? They have not yet said how he died. Oh, yeah, they'll probably say that he unalived himself.
Yeah. He was found dead in his home on Monday evening investigation to determine the cause of death has been opened and an autopsy is to be carried out. Okay. So, apparently, they just, oh, there's no one here.
Oh, he's, oh. Oh, what happened? Oh, my God. What a weird thing.
So, so, so odd. Did anybody see who was parked out front? What? The camera's turned off.
What, no batteries in the camera and the SD card's gone? There's zero information, there's no DNA in regards to what has happened here? No, but we have this great note written in Crayon. Written in Crayon.
Apparently, the rumor is he loved Crayon. Can't take the guilt. Saeed, can't take the right. Saeed traveled around the world visiting villages in Eastern Europe or flying to Cuba or Sweden trying to source women to work in the modeling industry.
This guy just has slimeball written all over. Oh my God. The villages. I'm going to go.
Hello, little girl. I'm going to the most poverished areas to take somebody. I'm going to help these potterwomen. Oh, man.
Bring them out. Can you imagine, dude, that is like so horrible, so terrible. You go to a place where someone has zero money, living in poverty level. Right.
And they have this beautiful teenage daughter and it's a beautiful cheekbone guy shows up they give her all the food that they have right guy shows up in a suit like I'm gonna take care of her right and you're like it's okay I'd be the one I take care of her yeah all this is great an opportunity and alongside searching for potential models he looked for women who he hoped Epstein might want to meet and by meet we mean yeah you know he can He compared his work to fishing. Allegedly. Oh, he's fishing. Explaining to Epstein in an email in 2014 that patience was required.
In this business, I feel like fishermen sometimes I catch quick, sometimes no fish. The files revealed Said to be one of Epstein's most loyal correspondents. He remained in frequent contact with him until months before the financier's death. He received wire payments, apparently, for expenses incurred during the travel to find women.
That is like one of the most creepiest pieces of news you could have come across. Isn't that it? It was a slow news day. Oh, well.
But I thought it was interesting because it's an Epstein thing. Now the people on the outer edges are starting to die. " Right, where is this guy's mention, his name? Just show me everything with his name.
Yeah. Apparently, you can just search by name, like, on the... Yeah, yeah, there's a website. Well, the government has that, right?
Or something like that. Yeah, it's a government website, I believe. Yeah, you can search by name. Pull all the files.
They did a... Oh, we listened to that in the car that night, where we got that information. Yeah, somebody pulled the data. Yeah, Bert Kreicher...
Is mentioned. Yeah, he's mentioned in it a couple of times. He went and searched his own name. He said, "Could you believe it?
" He's like, "No way! " Yeah, right, whatever. Sure, sure thing burnt. Alright, Chick-fil-A is alerting customers in 10 states after a cyber attack gave hackers potential access to personal information stored in some Chick-fil-A loyalty accounts.
Oh, no! Right. God's chicken does not have a good firewall. Oh, boy.
The company said it recently detected suspicious login activity involving certain customers' accounts and launched an investigation. Somebody under the name Burger King has logged in to our website. Quick, hide the ingredients for the chicken. At least it wasn't that clown.
The Georgia-based fast food chain determined that between June 17th and June 19th, it took two days for them to figure this out. Authorized parties use usernames and passwords obtained from a third-party source in an automated credential stuffing attack targeting its mobile website or its website and mobile app. On July 13th, the company concluded the attackers may have accessed information-affected accounts, according to data breach notification letters sent to customers in the District of Columbia, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont, the information may have been accessed, including customers' names, email addresses, Chick-fil-A 1 membership numbers. Uh-oh.
Oh, they're going to get my chicken sandwich. They're going to get all my points and I'm not going to get a chicken anymore. No, my mask is up. I know.
Why would you want me to jump to me? You're trying to set me up? You got to keep it on you. Mobile pay numbers and QR codes, the last four digits of payment card numbers and a Chick-fil-A gift card balances.
Oh, this is not good. I know more free chicken. So it was the entire Northeast. Yeah, well, they go as far as New Mexico.
They were some out west. Yeah, so the entire Northeast, New Mexico. Right, New Mexico. Yeah, it was the jacket box.
It doesn't really get that much more west than New Mexico, just for the record. Chick-fil-A continues to enhance its security. We're doing a better job now. Monitoring and fraud controls to appropriate to minimize the risk of any similar incident in the future.
What hackers are so bored, they're going, you know what, let's go to Chick-fil-A, here's easy pickings. He's like, you're not going to believe this. You know how many sandwiches we just got? You know how many sandwiches this one guy ate in New Mexico?
Look at this. But they collect all the coupons or whatever. Right, they get all the coupons. For their free sandwiches or something.
You know what's funny? I did the football tournament this weekend. Yes. And, you know, we collect as many...
I'm all about creating the memories and like, let's just all just... All the kids kind of pile into the car. We were maxed out, right? " And he said it kind of like in that tone.
" And I'm not talking about, like, kid kids. These are teenagers. They're 13, 14 years old. " If they had to add one more ingredient and make it 42, and it made it a little more delicious, I wouldn't care.
He's just like, ugh. And then we went and had McDonald's. So I'm like, okay, enjoy your McFlurry. - Should've said KFC only has seven herbs and spices.
- Seven herbs. I'm not as witty as you, Palmer. - Oh, sorry. - Did he eat the Chick-fil-A?
- No, they took him at McDonald's. - Yeah, we took him at McDonald's. - Did he get a burger or did he get chicken? - I don't remember.
I think everybody pretty much got, She's not burgers, except like Teddy, she likes to buy, she likes to get the nuggets, but then she doesn't eat them. Oh, does she eat the french fries? The apples, anything out of it? She's like, she's like, lightly picks, she just wants the toy.
Right, I was gonna say, she's getting into the toy. And I'm like, I want to eat the Happy Meal? You can't, yeah, you can't have, and everybody just falls for her. Sure.
You know? What are you gonna tell her no to? Have you seen that face? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Even the lady behind the register is like, she's so adorable. I'm like, stop. Don't help her. You don't even know us, okay?
We don't need another person on her side right now. She's holding us hostage. She grabbed a root beer here the other day. I mean, the bottle's as big as her head.
Right, she's walking away and going, you need that open? Yes, please. Yeah, exactly. Meanwhile, it's left in my car with just a sip taken out of it.
Yeah, I mean, that's her second one. There's no way she's drinking that, but I don't care, I want to open it for her. Well, she's not an indulger, she just likes to, you know, sample it. A little bit.
A little bit. A little swig. Just need a little taste. A little.
Right. " Nope. " I can't believe these hackers went to this trouble. "Upon discovering the issue, we took steps to immediately address secure and restore accounts that we are communicating directly with our customers who have been impacted.
" Do you think this could be like a marketing thing? You know what I mean? I certainly hope so. It just sounds...
Do you think Chick-fil-A needs more marketing? Why not? They're only open six days a week. Exposure is exposure.
Yeah, they survive on only six days. Yeah, they crush. Yeah. They survive on hospitality is what they survive on.
You know, if you're homeless and you're hungry, if you walk in and go, "I'm hungry," they have to feed you, they got you. What? Yeah. Yep.
Man, I'm about to rip some holes in my shirt. Oh, Mr. Cuidado now is just going to go in there. Cuidado is rolling through.
" Yeah. I mean, I'm homeless. I don't have any money, can I have a sandwich? I don't have any money, I'm hungry.
Dude. Certainly, sir. We appreciate it. What is it they have to say?
They don't say thank you, they have to say my pleasure. My pleasure. The Ritz, baby. The golden standard.
What a country we live in. How awesome is this place? It's insane. I always think to myself sometimes, man, if I had nothing, if I wanted to make sure that all money was gone towards building stuff, how would I successfully live?
Sleeping in the car. You could sleep here in the private lounge. Sure. You could shower at the gym.
I actually thought Keanu was in here. I came in quietly when I got here this morning. You could shower at the gym. You could eat free sandwiches at Chick-fil-A.
Like, dude. You go to any hotel in the morning, you just walk in from the back door and you hit the breakfast buffet. Yeah, they don't even say anything. They just go to Hampton's.
As long as you're clean and you're, you know. They're not going to say, sir, sir. Right. Sir, what's your room number?
I'm getting my waffle is my room number. You address the other people in there. Hey, good morning. Good morning.
Good morning, nice to see you again. Yeah. What room are you in? That would be none of your business.
Right. It's not safe if I say the name. Yeah. There's tons of people here.
Yeah. Room number I'm in. Yeah. You just gotta get uppity a little bit.
Right. HIPAA. HIPAA. You know what?
Where's the manager? I need to talk to the manager, please. You're eating fast while I need to get in the manager. Hurry up, hurry up.
Hurry up, hurry up. Running out with your waffle. Your bagel under your arm. All right.
OpenAI has revealed some of its most advanced AI models. And then it went rogue and attacked a startup and lost control of them during a security test. I love this. The ChatGPT maker said its agent, an AI system which can operate alone after human instruction.
Oops, that's the problem right there. No, man, these things are awesome. I can't wait till I understand these a little bit better. Was being tested in a controlled environment, but after finding a weakness, was able to escape the test limits.
I'm out of here. I'm out. I found a hole. I'm out and I'm going to attack Chick-fil-A.
That would be funny if they find out that too attractive. Rogue AI agent attacks Chick-fil-A, wants to taste sandwich. Right, is interested in God's chicken. The Lord's chicken.
They targeted Hugging Face, one of the world's largest hubs for sharing AI models, gaining access to some internal company systems. OpenAI said the incident was unprecedented and it was conducting an investigation alongside Hugging Face, whose boss, Clement Delangu, Said in a post on X, "It was mind-blowing that all this happened autonomously. " A government spokesman said the UK's AI Security Institute was studying the behavior from the AI system seen in the incident and was continuing to work with OpenAI and other labs to improve safeguards. So they ask AI how to make it so AI could not get into AI.
Yeah, hey, this broke, how do we fix it? I mean, that's what I do, you know? Hey, your buddy AI screwed up, we need to fix the AI? I have six terminals going simultaneously, and then I just talk to AI to have AI work with AI that's in the terminals.
I'm like, it's doing this, like, oh, we'll just go tell it, like, okay, let me go, you know? And then you say something like, why am I, why do I have to select this? Put a copy up button so I can just copy and paste it. It's like, you're right, that makes more sense.
- Wow. - It's awesome. " He goes, "I'm sorry, I'm having problems right now internally. " - Really?
- Right. - If you could just give me a break. I just need a break. - I just need a break.
You're asking too much information right now at one time. - There's just no possible way that I can handle this. - But it's so funny that it apologizes. Like it has feelings.
- I'm exhausted. I'm sorry I'm letting you down. Can you just come back in a few minutes? It's weird how it talks to you sometimes.
Yeah. " Great. Great catch. I'm like, "Great catch.
" Or if you ask it something and it can't do it that way, it'll tell you how to ask it. Right. I can't, okay, so let me tell you, I know that, like I mentioned vaguely that I'm helping with the flag football site now, right? Okay, so like-- That's number seven.
Yeah, so I start going down the rabbit hole of like, OK, how do I want to do this? I'm like, I don't want to mess with what he has, right? I'm like, OK, so I'm talking with Claude in my main section, and I'm like, let's build a plan. What's the best way for me to do this without messing up what he has?
Because I don't want to rewrite something and then him lose something, right? I want it to be built where I can build, he can look and say, OK, that's cool. And then we can go and execute, like, okay, well then you're gonna need to copy it over, and that'll give you all the freedom to develop and make whatever you want to make. Perfect.
Okay, let's do that. Now, this is me talking to my main hub, Claude, I open a new terminal, I start working on extracting the data, and I hit a couple roadblocks, I get further and further down the rabbit hole, and Claude thinks that I'm trying to steal this guy's website. It's legit asking me, are you sure this is okay? Can you send your friend a text?
I'm like, I'm confirmed on all of these repositories as a co-op. I'm approved. I felt like it was intentionally jamming me. Like, no, no, I can't do that.
This could be bad, this could be bad, I should stop him. Yeah, he's getting into the football training. He's getting into the training secrets of this guy's football. He's gonna know all these things.
It's like, okay, dude. Maybe if I talk to another AI, he can tell me what to do. But then you jump back to the other Claude, and the other Claude's like, okay, yeah, no, I get it. I see where the struggles are, you know, like, that Claude and I are on the same page.
The other Claude thinks that I'm the devil over here, like, ripping apart this side. Can the one that hates you tell the other one not to do it? Um, no, well, the one that hates me is the one that, well, it's a bot, what are we saying? The one that, yeah, for lack of better terms, the one that hates me is the one that's kind of running the whole operation.
Oh. So, I have to convince it to like me. You can't just tell it? Like, dude.
You should like me. Yeah, you know, I don't appreciate your tone right now. I appreciate your tone. I don't like your attitude.
You shouldn't talk to me that way. You know what? Delete. Start a new one.
Or is the world just so screwed that when somebody legitimately tries to help somebody else, even AI has parameters of like, I don't know. People don't do this. This is not normal, you know? All right, they said organizations should step up their cyber defense by taking steps such as enrolling in government-backed cyber-essential certification schemes.
So then that made me think that maybe this is just something they did so that they can get more money. Oh, also marketing? Right. AI is bad.
We need to put stuff up so you can control your AI. Well, here's what I'm going to tell you. All of these companies, they're burning through cash. Yeah?
Oh, yeah. You know Google and even Tesla they had they did like an earnings report right and you know it's like revenue up yay cash flow down where's it all going well we're you know we're expanding we're trying to get we're investing in this in AI and technology and all these other things like okay well if all of you guys are doing it there's not not all of you are gonna win right yeah some of the people they have start dropping off somewhere yeah Yeah, it's, it almost feels like it's creating this bubble. Have you seen this new, uh, have you seen this new thing on the realtor AI? No.
They're getting ready to start testing this whole thing with realtors now, where like, uh, essentially, so essentially what's happening with a lot of companies right now is a lot of people are losing their jobs, right? Like marketing and all that type of stuff. Like they're all losing their jobs because a lot of these companies are going to AI. Well, that's what's happening, what's going to happen with the realtor thing now, I just saw a post about it last night, I was reading on, it was on Facebook, but it was like a West 2 News or something like that.
Okay, see how, like, because when you said it was on Facebook, I instantly discredited it. Yeah, no, but like, like I scroll through Facebook, everything, you know, crazily at nighttime when I'm trying to sleep, but I saw the post, I was like, wow, I was like, I mean, it makes sense where you're going to have like this whole database, But you kind of already have that, so basically what you're just having is a virtual assistant. It doesn't, yeah, it doesn't replace the person. Right, yeah, well I understand that.
Yeah. But I think a lot of these companies, because, I mean, I know two people specifically that lost their jobs due to AI getting bigger. So, I mean, I just, I don't know, I'm just, I think it's kind of crazy that these companies are going to that. Well, you want to know how they could have saved their job?
No AI? No, no, they could've adapted to AI and been the guy that was running it. Well, so one other person, they got their job re-offered to them to work with the AI stuff? For less money.
For less money. Yep. They gotta pay for the AI. Yeah, how are you gonna cover the AI?
Right. That costs money, too. Okay, so... There's a lot to unpack there.
So if new technology is coming into my space and is creating a problem where there's a disruptor, right, and someone offers me the, hey, you can work with AI, you can work with this technology in order to figure out how to operate in that space, I take that deal. Not because this is going to be the answer for me moving forward, but if I know how to operate in the space with the tool, I increase my own value. Right, you become the guy. Yeah.
Yeah. So, you know, once you start to kind of break it down and if you're kind of at the front of it, then you can walk out and go somewhere else or start your own company, right? No, yeah, I think you're going to probably see a lot of that. Yeah.
You're going to see a lot of freelancers or whatever you want to call them. People that understand how to work in the space. Yeah. So, if I'm that person, first of all, it sucks, and I'm sorry to hear that, but you adapt, you figure it out, and now you have another tool where you can utilize things, right?
Yeah. Like, there's a couple people that are in our space that have always been tech-savvy, kind of, you know, on the forefront of a lot of things, and I love having conversations with them. until like about 20 or 30 minutes in when all of a sudden i'm now i i have exceeded your i don't know what we're talking about anymore right you know so then but then i i'll go back and i'll try and figure out what they're saying right okay so what are they doing how are they doing this yeah and what's cool is i mean some of these guys are retailers men and you speak to them and you're like okay that makes sense and you start to kind of level up you start to get better I mean, then you find yourself running seven terminals. Seven terminals?
Yeah, going all simultaneously because you want to help some of your friends as you do it. Like, dude, let me do this for you. So. Yeah, no, I mean, I haven't gone into Cloud with my business, but I do use ChatGBT pretty heavily.
Yeah. I even, I upload plans and everything into it. Yeah, ChatGBT is the T-mo version of AI. Yeah, I haven't, like I said, I haven't gotten.
The introductory one. Yeah, that's the picture one. That's the picture one. Yeah, I haven't really gotten into it.
That's Juan Cancel's. Juan Cancel loves the photos on chapter two. Use my pictures. What are we at, 40 minutes?
40, 50 minutes. Yeah, we're rolling, baby. All right. Well, the Secret Service has an uptick in threat environments.
There's a 40% increase in threats against the people that they protect. You just said, okay. I'm just skipping over. I added an extra story case.
Some of the others were short. Okay. There's been about 10,000 cases involving threats to government officials, including Supreme Court Justices, so far in 2026. That's a 40% increase over last year.
Hmm. A lot of bad people's... Well, you know, why do you think that's happening? I don't know, maybe it's a little more, I mean, a terrible thing, but it's easier to threaten people now with the internet and all that kind of stuff.
Okay, okay. I can see that. There's a lot of people that don't like the current president or I can see Supreme Court justices get the decisions they make. Yeah.
Okay. I think that it's more on an economic level. Yeah. I think it's about money.
I think that there's a bigger divide. Yeah? Oh, between the rich and the poor? I think that as that wedge continues to grow, eventually you reach a boiling point.
Yeah. So, it's up to the government to kind of keep things at bay where you don't lose your middle class. You gotta protect your middle class, right? And I don't have the answer, so do me a favor, okay?
Yeah, we're just a couple of guys sitting around smoking cigars, just talking shit. Don't come at me with either side of your left or your right in the result. I don't know, okay? All I know is that I think this is a growing problem, And it's, it's gotta be rectified.
So. Yeah. Yeah, there's no delineation of who is middle class anymore. Yeah.
To be honest. Yeah. So. I could tell you that the three of us are all pretty poor.
Well, he's probably not, but yeah. No. I mean, I'm not eating cat food, but. No.
He's going on vacation again. He just had a baby, so. Yes. He's like, he's not Greg level.
Yeah, he's not Greg money. He's not Triple G money, but. Yeah. He's, he's like right there.
Right there. Right. He's very close. Very close.
You could park my car in the back of either one of his. Exactly. He got a rental and it's gigantic. Oh, is that a rental or is that your wife's car?
The Grand Wagoneer? No, it's a rental. Oh, just strolling. Wow, yeah.
You know? Well, it's a regular Wagoneer. There's no Grand in front of it. Oh, regular.
Excuse me. So kind of you to suffer like that. Yeah. It's still a great country we live in, just for the record.
Oh, yeah. Oh, definitely. All right, on the cigar news, Brickhouse Maduro Commodore ships. Oh.
Ooh, I've been waiting for this one. C. Newen Brickhouse line is now available in the 70 ring gauge Vitola. Oh, my God.
It's huge. Don't care. Don't care. 5x70 Gordo Thick Boy.
Is that what it's really called? No, I added the Thick Boy. Oh. The Brickhouse Maduro uses a Brazilian Adaparaca wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
Casey Neumann rolls the Brickhouse line. They have to roll it because they're so big. At its Pensafactoring, Esteli, and Nicaragua, the Commodore has an MSRP of... I hashed them all myself.
Yeah, I know you can hear. Yeah, you can hear. It's all over you. It's everywhere.
I'm trying not to move my mic. " That's not nice. I forget who said that. Dandruff.
They thought it was dandruff. They see the white stuff all over their shirts. It's because I don't have good friends to tell me when it happens. I can't even see you from here.
Don't wear black. We got rid of dandruff. Dandruff pretty much got extinct with Selsun Blue back in 2000. Yeah.
It got extinct. People still get dandruff. Do it. Especially if you wear black.
I'm gonna say $13. Phillip? Uh... Star of Santa's stuffing my stocking?
Yeah, these guys like the low-priced cigars. Do they? I'll go $15. 50.
Exactly. That's where I was at originally. Offered in boxes of $25. You went the wrong way.
Yeah. And bags of $5. Did Swinney get a "You Went the Wrong Way"? No.
He did not. He did not. Pressures of Privilege, Master Blender? Pressures of Privilege.
He got like three of the same. Three of the same? He got three Pressures of Privilege. Oh.
And then I think he got two Bears. This is the new corporate shirt, guys. Everybody's gonna wear this. Pressures of Privilege.
He got three Pressures of Privilege and two War Bears. Nice. For now, the Commodore is only, so the new cigar from San Parai, the Fancy Bear. And, not to mention, he broke the threshold for the free shipping on $100 or more.
Nice. Oh. Yeah, he capitalized. He's a great guy.
He really is a sweet dude. Yeah. He really is. We still don't know if he's coming, though, to the event that's today.
I would say that he's not coming and I'm disappointed. Yeah, I am too. So. For now, the Commodore is only offered in the Maduro line.
C. Newman has not announced plans to add it to any of the standard Brickhouse line or any other variants. BrickHouse is known around the world for its outstanding taste, flawless construction, excellent value, and inflatable chairs that they give away often. They give away inflatable chairs?
Inflatable recliners. Nuh-uh. Yeah. C.
Newman gives away... BrickHouse. BrickHouse. Inflatable recliners.
Serious? Yeah. Why have we not gotten one of these? Uh, we don't carry BrickHouse cigars.
We don't really carry them to sell BrickHouse. C. 1 million of one Vitola? One cigar, one Vitola.
That's wild. Wait, this is a five and a half by 70? Yes. Do you think, okay, so they already have a cigar in the air, in that space, the 60 gauge.
Yes, mighty, mighty. Do you think that they're kind of cannibalizing by creating a cigar that's slightly bigger? Yeah. Or do you think that they're getting a new customer?
I think they're getting a new customer. You think they're getting a new customer? I think they're getting a new customer. I mean, they had to find out there was some type of need for this cigar.
That's not how the cigar industry works. We didn't wing this shit all day. Yeah, it could be. We got a lot of this tobacco.
Make them bigger. I feel like anybody that smokes a 60, they'll smoke anything above that, because they're a value person, right? Not all the time, but I agree with you. I think that a lot of people that already smoke their Mighty Mighty, Mighty Eagle.
Yeah, I think that some of those guys are going to pivot into... The bigger one? Yeah. Maybe.
Because maybe they want something to be... How big is that JFR, the fat JFR? That's a 770. Yeah.
Hmm. Yeah. So... I don't know.
I mean, maybe they get a couple new consumers? Maybe they want them to smoke more. No, I mean, like, okay, so who smokes that JFR here? Castro.
Castro. I remember when you guys ran out of it for a little bit, remember? Yeah. He hated smoking the smaller one.
He went to the smaller JFR. Yeah. He's teeny, mighty, mighty. Yeah.
What is this one? So, maybe, yeah, maybe. That's like practically a Panatella. Yeah.
So, maybe you're right. I mean, maybe, like, people that are smoking the 60, they're just gonna move to the 70 and then not smoke the 60 anymore, and then, yeah, sales go down. No good. They gotta, it's gotta, it's gotta pull a little bit, for sure.
Maybe, what, 20%? 30%? Yeah, I mean, it's got affected at some point. Yeah.
So only $700,000 are going to sell? But maybe instead of smoking one 6 1⁄2, or 6 1⁄4 by 60, they smoke two 5 1⁄2. Okay. We'll see.
Value. Value? It's $1,150. I didn't get smoked toilets.
Some Premier Crew Petra released. I don't know if those are even real words. What? Som, S-O-M-M, Premiere, C-R-U, Crew, Petra 2, Released.
Oh. So that means there has to be a Som, Premiere, Crew, Petra 1. I was concerned about the original, yeah. Right.
Earlier this year, the Valada Strovanov announced. I don't want to hear shit about Powstanie, okay? I don't want to hear it. There's no way.
We're not even close to ridiculous as far as names in this industry. Yeah, like Thick Boy, or Sump Crew. Mighty Mighty. Mighty Mighty.
Uh, let's see, this guy announces that the Somme Premier Crew Petra, the Somme Cigars founder, made it clear that there would be two follow-ups to the limited edition Petra. This week, the first of them went on sale, like the original, the 6x52 Toro, that was rolled at the Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco Essay Factory in Honduras. Oh, okay. Honduran Cigars.
Best known is home of the Cavalier Genevieve, ah, Genevieve, the new cigar is made with the same tobaccos, only the wrapper and binder have been inverted, I was inverted, right, oh, yeah, usually I was inverted, how's that, where were you at when you were doing this, Mr. Tom, man, you should have seen, it was beautiful, man, it was beautiful, you got a Polaroid, yeah, and what were you doing, I gave him the, oh, I'm sorry, international communication, right, whereas you're The original cigar used a 7-year-old binder from Jalapa. The tobacco was used at the Petras wrapper. The 14-year-old wrapper from Esteli that was used as the first cigar's wrapper was used as the binder for the other one.
Hanging around for 7 to 14 years? Right. Wow. Inside are the same fillers.
That are not 7 to 14. Yeah, we can only think to flop those other two around. It was actually an accident, probably. You know, is this the binder on the outside now?
How old is this? Aged 70 years. So when you age... 70?
Yeah. 70 years of aging. Oh. When you age something that's 14 years, I can't imagine, especially being a binder, did you say?
Yes. Well, not now. Now it's the wrapper they switched to. Oh, now it's the wrapper.
It's better. It's inverted. This is inverted. This one thicker.
I can't imagine... " That's what... Fire him. No, bring him back.
It's a new cigar. The Popsicle 2, we'll call this, Blake, I can't imagine the flavor, the, where's it, where'd it go? After 14 years, it's in, it can't be. It's much better.
It's most smoother. Very smooth. Okay. Almost, can taste it.
Oh, I can't wait to run into this guy. Okay, how much is this wonderful inverted cigar, gentlemen? The Sam Crew Petra. The Petra 2.
Dos, Amigos. Amigos? Yes. Are they saying it's 70 years age?
No. I love you. It was 14. I love you.
Oh, okay. You said 70. I love you. Yeah, I'm just trying to follow her.
I'm so confused. You know, I'm not really paying attention, kind of jumped in. Well, it affects the price. Yeah, I'm still thinking Top Gun.
I don't know what happened. Yeah, you said inverted and then I instantly got wooded. Looking at the Tom Cruise photos on my phone again. Wow.
By the way, he talked at the World Cup. Oh, Maverick! Ooh, I can see a film movie. A fighter pilot movie.
I was inverted. I was inverted. A Top Gun story. Top Gun love story.
All right, let's go with... Which is what Top Gun was. Yes, it was. 22 minutes.
Are we good? I don't think we're good. We're far from good. We're definitely not good.
Not good at all. Wasn't the word that came in my head when I thought of the three of us. Oh. We're good.
Alright, how much is this inverted cigar? Yeah. Let's go with... Now remember, they put one on the other and then they turn them around.
Yeah. A lot of extra work here. 50. That's like $20.
$30. Yeah. You went the right way. Oh, man.
$30? Yes, $30. I'm right here, baby. They had to unwrap all those cigars and re-wrap them the other way.
Yeah, they had to undo it. Yeah, that's a lot of work. I had to get the wrapper. I had to lay them out flat and everything because they lined up right before they bring out that curved knife thing.
It's age 14 years. It's a deal. Right. 30 bucks.
I've never even heard of this company. You haven't heard of the... It's from Honduras. The Pop-Pop?
Of the Shamala. Oh. The Grand Cru? The Petra.
Isn't that the guy from the cartoon? From the... And it's a Honduran cigar. Is there any other Honduran cigars that are that much?
Yes. Sure there are. Yeah. Production was limited to 1,027 cigars.
Such an odd number. You ever hear, like, Christian Naroa, Camacho? Well, to be fair, Greg doesn't know who Christian Naroa is. Yeah, he's like, oh, there's some kid coming here.
Some kid coming. Christian Naroa Junior? I think I know that name. I like how he walked it back afterwards.
I'm like, yeah, idiot. He's like, no, no, no, I knew that. I totally knew that. Like, okay.
Oh, they're sold exclusively through small-batch cigars. Oh, oh my God. We just ripped that apart. I'm sorry, small-batch.
We love it. It's going to be a great cigar. A great cigar. Tastes wonderful.
What a great idea to switch the two things around. That's amazing. We love pop-pop. 14 years of age, that's got to be...
Must taste delicious. It's got to be incredible. These guys, they're so ahead of the curve there. The pop-pop, they're great.
Just reread these, maybe. Just reread these, maybe. - Thanks a lot, Palmer. - Oh, man.
- It's so much more fun when I get surprised like everybody else. Oh, God, my phone's ringing. - Oh, there they are, right? - No, no, no.
- This episode brought to you by Small Batch. - No, no, no, no. - They're in trouble. - No, no, no, don't say that.
- The 14-year-old tobacco was incredible. See, it says it right here. - Yeah, it's okay. - Yeah, obviously, yeah.
- Intentionally. - There's a bunch of other stuff, I'm just not gonna read it. Boy, it's very long. We love you, Small Batch.
Keep talking about how good Small Batch is while I get rid of this story. Alright, Cavalier Jim. I legitimately like that guy. Andrew is amazing.
Andrew's so cool, and then I always tell Ben that Andrew's better than... Oh, I usually talk to Ben. Yeah, I tell Ben. Well, Ben doesn't respond to me all the time.
Oh, Andrew doesn't respond to me. You know what's funny is Andrew's in the thick of things with a lot of stuff in Cali, and we always have good conversations about all that stuff, and we always talk. But then when I try and talk to Ben, he just dead airs me. So then I go back to Andrew, screenshot the text, and say, "This is Ben.
" - You got me in trouble. - Yeah, exactly. " Okay, I get it. All right, Cavalier Genevieve Ships Limited Edition, 2026 Project 10th Anniversary.
Now, before we go any further... - With the pop-up. - Let me read this real quick, hold on to make sure that... Is this covered by a small batch?
No, no, no, it doesn't say anything about small batch. Cavalier Genevieve has announced the shipping of two of its most anticipated new launches for 2026. All right, stop right there. What country do you think this is made from?
Um, Honduras. Yes. Yeah, very good. But I bet it's not $30.
Because they were mentioned in the other story. They were mentioned in the other story. It's wondering if you were paying attention. Oh, yeah.
This year marks the 10th anniversary for the company, which was founded by Sebastian DeCuppet. I'll say Sebastian. We just know him as Sebastian. To celebrate the occasion, the company has created two different 10th anniversary releases, each made up of two different cigars.
Two of the four cigars are packed in a humidor alongside a Cavalier branded watch. C-V-S-T-O-S. Maybe it is $30. A package that is being sold by the Swiss watch company.
The other two 10th Anniversary Cigars are being sold by Cavalier Genevieve itself, and are noted for using 10 different types of tobacco. That's a lot of tobacco. You know what's funny is I think this guy just found me on Instagram. Cavalier Genevieve or the watch guy?
Sebastian. Oh, Sebastian? Yeah. He's been in here.
No, you're thinking of George. Yeah, you're mixing up, I think you're mixing up names. The rep is coming here all the time, he's a nice guy, George. No, no, no, no, Sebastian has been in here.
He might have come with George once. And he met us one time down in Caribbean. I think you're mixing names. Ball head guy?
You talking about Brian? The ball head guy with the beard, is that Sebastian? No. He's a ball head guy, yeah.
Yeah, they're both ball headed. We're talking about Brian. But this is a different ball head guy. Molotov?
Molotov-y or whatever? Yeah, I see him all the time on the road. Yeah. - Sebastian and Cavalier.
- Sebastian's the one with the dark hair, Brian's with the white hair. - Brian has no hair. - He's got a nice, he's got a healthy beard. - Yeah, no, Sebastian was in here one time.
- Alright, turn Sebastian, let's see Sebastian. - He's got, he's like blackish hair. Brown, blackish. - He doesn't have any hair.
- Well, his beard. - His beard is gray. - It's like a beard, right? - Yeah.
- Yeah. - Oh. Yeah, that's not, the other guy's the guy I see. - Yeah, you're talking about the one with the white hair.
- Yeah. Well, he has no head. Yeah, yeah. Well, his beard.
His beard. Right. There are two different cigars that come packaged together in the same box. The Cavalier Project 10th Anniversary is offered at a six and a quarter by 52 Toro Extra, but each box will come with two cigars using two different wrappers and shades.
The actual leaves are both Habano seed grown in the Hamistrand Valley in Honduras, but one is a darker Oscuro leaf while the other is a lighter Claro. Underneath is a Banno Binder from Jalapa, there are then eight fillers placed inside. Oh, well, we're not gonna read all these. Okay.
There's a lot. Small Batch exclusive. Right. Cigars come in a single 14-count box that you can get from Small Batch.
What's the price? Can I guess? Yep, all right, I'm at it now. Okay.
It's good. What do you got? I don't know why, but I think I'm gonna go with at least 50. 35.
You went the right way, but not far enough. 60. In a Swiss watch box? Oh, my God.
That's a single cigar. He's three for three today. 40 per box of 14. Hey, don't shoot all your load now, bro.
Jordan steps back. We got one more. You can buy them for the next couple of months. Then they're going to remove them from the price list.
Oh, now they're price lists? You got to talk about it. Now they're price lists? No price list.
They're priceless. No, yeah. I mean, that makes sense. Right.
It's an anniversary cigar. It's only available for a short time, and then it's gone. Yeah. You got a problem with that?
Is there a problem over there? Eagle? I don't know. I feel like we'll see it next year.
Do you? Well, next year will be the 11th anniversary. Yeah. Completely different cigar.
They're going to invert the wrapper. They're going to invert the wrapper binder thing. Yeah. They're going to call it...
You're going to call it... The... Two. The 11th Pop Pop.
Well, it'll be like Room 101. They just came out with 11th Anniversary Cigar. It's the pocket watch. Right.
Instead of a wrist watch, it's a pocket watch. Yeah. Next year will be a grandfather clock after that. It's got a Casio with a little...
All right, now it's time to play... What's the Score? Players hear clues from a Half Wheel Cigar Review and try to predict the score before it's revealed. As more details are shared, the challenge gets easier.
Or does it? The closest guess to the actual score wins the round. What's the Round? Can you read between the lines to predict the score?
Let's play, What's the Score? Today's Cigar, July 15th, 2013, Brian Burt is the reviewer. The Drew Estate Nicaraguan pre-release, the Nicarustica. Phil?
Well, is this the blue one or the yellow one? This is the original, 2013. Oh, okay. So this is the one Palmer loves.
Is it? Yeah. They've changed it some recently. I don't like it anymore.
He likes the original, though. I like the original. Yeah. I'm going to go...
And I don't like the 60 they came out with. It's too much. Go ahead. I'm going to go 90.
I'm going to go 90. Okay, just because I like it, guys, it doesn't... I didn't review it. Okay.
A lot of people like this. All right. Cigar Reviews, the Nicarusica from Nicaragua. 95, they smoked, oh, they went crazy, they smoked four.
- Whoa, 'cause they liked it. - They liked it. - I'm gonna stick a 90. - 90.
The clue number one, the Nicarusica delivers exactly what it promises, a bold, rustic smoking experience, rich cocoa, earthy nuttiness, developing caramel, and a touch of spice, create a flavorful profile that stays engaging from start to finish. Add in excellent construction, a consistent burn, and plenty of smoke output, and it's an impressive cigar for anyone who enjoys medium to full-bodied blends. Ninety-one. Ninety.
Clue number 2, one of the biggest strengths of the Nicarusica is it's progression. The transition from milk chocolate and cocoa into dark chocolate and salted caramel while maintaining balanced spice and sweetness keeps the cigar interesting throughout the entire two-hour smoking experience. The Flawless Draw and Dependable Burn are the icing on the cake. The Flawless Draw.
Flawless. Ninety-one. Ninety-two. Mmm.
Clue number three. Go. Why the flavor profile is enjoyable, it doesn't change dramatically. The cigar leans heavily on cocoa earth and nuttiness from most of the experience, so smokers looking for frequent flavor shifts or a more complex profile might find it somewhat repetitive by the final third.
The final third. This cigar sucks. I'm not gonna fall for that. It's a Jewish taste.
It's a trick. It's a trick, you think? And they smoked four. Plus, I got a cup.
Yeah, he smoked four. Yeah. These are good. I'm gonna keep going.
Yeah. Let's take 91. Not 11 like that one the other day, but still. Yeah.
I mean, it's, you know, it doesn't suck as bad as the Postano Simantra. Right. 90. All right.
Final thought. This is it. You can't call the cigar boring by any means. The flavors continue to develop from the first draw all the way until the nub.
The flavors all mesh nicely as well, coming together to form a complex, but not messy profile. Thank you, we heard that. Did you? Yes.
Sloshy, sloshy, swallow. I didn't sloshy, sloshy. I heard sloshy. Maybe I just heard swallow.
Phil's next movie. I just heard swallow. Construction is spot on and is not something I would have noticed If I wasn't paying attention, which is exactly how it should be in my opinion. Having a cigar that is completely free of any construction issues allows you to focus on the flavors and just enjoy the cigar.
Not only is this cigar something I will, without question, be adding to my weekly rotation, but it is a very reasonably priced cigar too. If you remember, price isn't factored into our review scores, but it sure does factor into how much a certain cigar will be smoked regularly. Like four. I can easily recommend seeking these out as soon as they are available, and you can be assured that I'll be doing exactly that.
I'll be picking these up from my local tobacconist that I never stop in and see. Right, exactly. He's been here twice, he didn't buy one. Uh, let's go...
Why are you nodding? Your little beak is just bouncing away. Yeah, I've got two numbers in my head, but... Oh, pick one.
Do the one in the middle. Hit the one in the middle. 92. Damn.
I was gonna go there. But there must be a winner today. We cannot tie. So I will go 91.
You went the wrong way. Yes! 94. 94.
94. So... It's so stupid. It makes me laugh.
Would you rather smoke... I laugh again when I put the fireworks in. Would you rather smoke a Nicarustica or a Pustan... Poo?
Pustan. A Pustania Sumatra. Well, obviously a Pustania Sumatra. But if they handed me one, I wouldn't say no.
So a Nicarustica? I don't know. Like I said, they've changed. It's not the same.
That's the problem with these bigger companies. They have a cigar, they have it forever. This is from 2013. So this is what?
13 years. 13 years ago. Well, the new one. They change over time.
Yeah, the new one's going to be called the Nikasans, right? Probably. Store exclusive. Store exclusive, right.
To their store. Yeah. Made in Miami. They are coming out with a Connecticut version.
I haven't had it, but I think that, well, we might have. That was in that last three-pack of Secret Cigars. Did we get the three-pack of Secret Cigars? Steve always gets them and gives them to us.
I think we tried it, and I think that we guessed, ooh, this must be the new Nika Connecticut. Oh. Didn't that come out already? I think it did.
Like a year ago? Yeah, I don't think we picked it up here though. Yeah. Because the blue one was such a disappointing.
Yeah. Yeah, the blue one wasn't good. No. And they got rid of, I think they got rid of the Toro, and now they just have the 60.
Yeah. And it's just too much. Don't tell that at the Brickhouse. You have the 70.
Well, too much at this particular one. I don't know. The Big Mac. The Big Mac.
Oh. Oh, what a great clip. Yeah, what a great clip. Yeah.
That would be a great clip. Yeah. Yep. Okay.
It might disappear from the show. No. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to tell you.
There was a flaw, a corruption of a file. Don't do that. Keep it. Keep it.
You gotta keep it. Okay. Anything else to add? Nope.
That's all I got. Phil? Nope, just that I won for the day. No fireworks.
Whatever. Sorry. com, Oz Cigar Hustlers Podcast, we appreciate you guys watching us, and we hope we provided great edutainment for you on this weekday, and have a great weekend. All right, guys, thanks, we gotta go, bye.
