ACHP Episode 475 Flavor Fav & Ldies Hockey

ACHP Episode 475 Flavor Fav & Ldies Hockey

Episode Summary

Episode 475 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast opens with Mike Palmer explaining the show's new YouTube monetization requirements — the checkbox questionnaire about profanity levels, sexual themes, derogatory language and self-promotion that now greets every upload — and the crew's decision not to sanitize the show's format over it (they made a whole dollar on day one). From there it's the usual wide-ranging news roundup: the tabloid fallout around the late Eric Dane, the arrest of former UK ambassador Peter Mandelson in the ongoing Epstein-related investigations, and escalating cartel violence in Mexico with shelter-in-place advisories now spreading into resort areas.

The headline non-cigar story: the gold medal-winning U.S. women's hockey team politely declined President Trump's invitation to the State of the Union, citing academic and professional commitments, prompting Flavor Flav to publicly offer to host them in Las Vegas instead. The guys debate whether they'd take the State of the Union or the Flavor Flav party, and riff on the theater of who stands and claps during the address.

Cigar news covers two releases. Big Sky Cigar Company is adding the Cryptid Great White Buffalo (GWB), a 5x60 with an undisclosed blend, $16 MSRP, packed in 10-count boxes limited to 5,000 boxes/50,000 cigars, with hand-drawn one-of-a-kind band artwork by Native artist Ramona Crowbear — a project VP Brandon Marsh says is meant to be unlike anything in the cigar world. Warped Cigars is shipping a new Perfecto vitola in the Isla del Crocodilo line on March 4th: Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, dual Brazilian Mata Fina/Arapiraca and Ecuadorian Habano 2000 binders, Nicaraguan fillers, made at Tabacalera La Isla in Santiago, Dominican Republic, in 15-count boxes. The hosts also mention David Garofalo's Simply Stogies interview and his snowstorm shop video.

The episode closes with the recurring "What's the Score" game, guessing a 2022 Halfwheel review of the Luciano the Dreamer Belicoso (Tabacalera Pichardo, Nicaragua, 5.5x52) — praised for flavor progression from dry earth to brownie sweetness and pepper, but dinged for second-half combustion issues, landing at 83. Housekeeping: CHPod.com swag (the Postanya .079 Greatness hat), an upcoming Northport Cigars event, and a rerun in place of Thursday's show while Mikey attends the memorial service for Espinosa Senior.

Welcome to A Cigar Hustler Podcast, episode 475. I'm Mike Palmer, your host, and with me today is Phil, I can't swear anymore, McGuffey. Oh, we're stopping that. In engineering.

Yeah, you'll find out in a minute. And then as my co-host, Mikey, it was Preston Day, I'm still tingling Stepankiewicz. I am tingling away. Tingle, tingle, tingle, tingle.

Welcome, gentlemen. Welcome. Thank you. All right, as always, if anything new means more work for me.

Yay! So, as part of the new monetization program, I have to answer multiple layers of questions about the show I am uploading. We made a dollar yesterday. And then I have to wait while it scans the show to see if the answers to the questions were correct.

What? So, questions like, was there excessive foul language, like H-E-L-L and D-A-M-N? I don't want to say the words, because then I have to say, yes, we said them. Oh.

Was there overt swearing, like S-H, hockey stick, whatever. Overt? Yes. And then, was there extreme swearing, like F asterisk, that word?

Wow. I have to answer yes to those three questions. And then, if certain advertisers have regulations on language is what it says. Which is what it says.

So as you click them, Advertiser Disappear, that will advertise on your show. Okay. So, then after that, there are, was there any sexual themes or stories mentioned in the podcast? That's going to happen.

Yeah, well, I took a story out today that I was going to do, there's an update to a story we've had before on Bonnie Blue, remember Miss Bonnie Blue? Vaguely. The porn star? Yeah.

Oh, you have to say yes now. No, no, we haven't said anything what she did. Oh. She did something, and something happened because of what she did.

Okay, wait a second, now hold on. Why would we change the format? Because now we're monetized. Okay, but we can still say, hey, yes, there was something said, and then, you know, it may be...

Well, then we might not get the big Palmolive ad for the week. Well, then the Palmolive ad goes for the week. Oh, is that what we're doing? Is that how we made a dollar, Palmolive?

I don't know what it was. I didn't watch it and see. Oh. I don't even know if it's the same commercial for everybody.

Yeah, so, you know, realistically, though, just be honest, don't change the authenticity of the show, or the format of the show. Oh, we're not going to change the format of the show? 'Cause I had a little game set up where he watches you, you watch me, and I watch him, and then we sort of keep scoring. That's very awkward, Palmer.

Yeah. I thought it'd be fun. We're not doing any kind of... At the end, we add the scores, and then that's how I answer the questions.

We're not doing any CU asterisk asterisks here. No, I do think that Dum-Dum over here should choose his words a little more wisely instead of using the F word as his um as his um. Did I use the F word last episode? I don't think we did yesterday.

I said yesterday we didn't do any of these things. No, there's just a lot of chocolate bunny jokes and stuff. Yeah. What?

Chocolate bunny? What is that? I don't want to say it because then you have to answer yes to the question. Is that a racist?

It was. It was. 100% it was. Wow.

I cut out my racist thing. I cut mine out. I didn't know how to disguise it. Did you?

It was in the beginning. I cut mine out. He trimmed yours away. And his went beep beep for what he said.

There's a horn honk in there. Oh. God. Oh, well, Bonnie Blue.

Let's go ahead and get this one out of the way then. Oh, okay. So we'll just talk about it. Why not?

Let's talk about it. She did the 400 unprotected sex with men video. Yeah. Well, now she's pregnant.

No way. I was waiting for it. One of the random 400 men. So they all have to be tested now.

Well, not all of them, I guess. I guess I could start with which one she would prefer and then sort of work her way through the list. Man, how nervous do you think all those guys are? Well, there's got to be some who didn't in that did out.

That did in that did out? Didn't go in. I mean, they finished out, not in. So, I mean, you know, I know there's still a question, but so, I mean, you, you know, you put them off in another category.

Well, we'll test these if nobody else, you know. Pull-out game week. Right. I mean, you can still get pregnant on the pull-out.

So, mommy, how was I born? Oh, God. It's going to be one of those Harry Kruger multiple people babies. Harry Kruger multiple people.

Harry Kruger was the son of a nurse who was gang raped at a sane asylum. This sounds completely different, though. Yeah, I mean, I was gonna go a different direction and make some jokes, but now, now there's nothing I can say that will be at all humorous whatsoever. No, well, yeah.

All right, well, you can't call us names anymore, either, that's in there. Oh. I can't call you names anymore? No, I can't call us names, man, that's in there.

I can, and when I do, you just uncheck that box, okay? That's what's happening here. When you say names, can we understand? Derogatory statements.

Does he say derogatory names? Do I say derogatory names? Yeah, I don't think he says. No, it's dummies and idiots, and when we interrupt you, you drop the F-bomb.

Well, if you frustrate me. Are you thirsty already? We've been five minutes in? Yes.

That's just a nervous thing. No, I'm thirsty. He takes a sip when he gets nervous. He's been drinking a lot lately.

My throat's still very dry from the illness. All right, well, you didn't even bother asking me how do we check out get some of that CH Pots. I haven't got that far yet. Oh, okay.

Now on today's show, Eric Dane allegedly wasn't a nice guy. More UK officials have been arrested. Women's hockey says no thank you to the president. And then in cigar news, we got a couple of new cigars and let's see if Mikey's run at What's the Score Weekly Championship is still on track.

But before we do any of that, how do we get some of that non-self-promoting CH Pod swag, Michael? What you wanted? We're not allowed to self-promote anything. Oh my god.

Is this considered self-promoting? Huh? What? Is that English?

It's not considered self-promoting. Yeah, we're promoting our own stuff. Oh. But this is not what that is.

Okay. com where we have all of our latest apparel and swag. 079 from Greatness Hat. Greatness hat.

There's like eight left. Oh. com where you buy one and get the second one 40% off. Or if you spend $100 or more, you're going to get free shipping on your order.

And if you buy eight, you get four of them, or 40% off or whatever. No, that's not true. Oh. That's all right.

Buy one and get the other one. That's all right. Don't listen. No, Boots is not promoting things.

He's inviting guests on the show. Now he's promoting his own swag. Yeah. Oh, God.

Getting into some quick comments here. Just one final question, never be brought up again. The beanies are completely off the table now. We're not doing the beanies.

The beanies are gone. They are out of stock, let's say. We sold the one, and now they're out of stock. I mean, I just wasn't happy with how it came out.

Okay. Why? Is somebody really out of it? No, no.

We just haven't brought it up anymore, and I know we bought some. No, I saw the comment. Yeah, that guy Boots, he really wanted another one. Yeah, I mean.

Boots got one. Boots got one. Ben got one. After that, we're sold out.

We only had the two. That's fine. Never be brought up again. I mean, yeah, because I didn't feel that the one that I gave to Ben was perfect.

Put them in the overstock, in the back of the warehouse, and they'll be fine. No, they're sitting there. There's only like three or four of the regular beanies. We have a warehouse?

Yes, we have a warehouse. Oh, my God. It's my front bedroom. It's a front bedroom.

It's now a... It's now CH Pod Central. Yeah. Several people have lived in it, but now it is CH Pod Central.

I like it when people say, so where do you get these done? I'm like, oh, uh, we make them. Like, well then, but, but who? I go, well, sometimes I do, sometimes my wife does, like, we make them.

We're going to teach in the children. Yeah. So, uh, CW6383 said great show in regards to episode 473. That might be the new, uh, Patreon.

I think it is. That would make sense. Yes. Uh, you see a great show?

All right. Yes. Uh, on the latest episode, In this episode, our dear friend Mark Palmer said John Bon Jovi is from New Jersey, just saying. Did we say he wasn't?

We said he was from Canada. Oh, that's right. Maybe he was from Canada before New Jersey. Yeah, well, you know.

Before he got a citizenship? I do remember that it was like a right to passage to run into John Bon Jovi in New Jersey. Yeah, I remember that too. Yeah.

So, it is what it is. He's Canadian in my eyes. Didn't he want to move the Buffalo Bills out of... I don't know.

Into Canada? -Sporty. -You're a big sport guy. -I mean, they might as well.

I mean, what is that, one mile? -Yeah, it's just across AJ's Falls to the other side. -Yeah, AJ's Falls, yeah. TXSouthpaw4202 said, "I had a year of the Duque fresh in March/April, and I thought it was really harsh.

Since then, they've aged well. I noticed reviews in June, so that may have helped the score. Suggestions, send Coco Nibs and Teriyaki to Half Wheel after each post on your release. So yeah, that's true, man.

Maybe, maybe when the year the Duques drop, they just need a little bit of time to rest. That's very possible. Who knows? Yeah.

I know, as I helped him name it and he didn't say a word. Yeah, still, still to this day, never going to be good. Still to this day, no credit. I did like the fact that David Morris wrote, you know, 1140 on episode 473.

I don't even need to say anything. The look on Mikey's face says it all. And I wrote back "Par-O-D" because he was saying, you know, "Party", "Party", "Party" And that's it. What happened at 11:40?

What's that? What happened at 11:40? That was when he said it. David Morris will give you the specific time to go and look at the cluster that is.

Hey, I love David Morris. He's keeping Phil alive, baby. He's definitely, yeah, he's Phil's number one fan. Right.

He 100% is keeping Phil along. There were a hundred comments on the episode before last. Really? When I uploaded yesterday, it had a hundred comments.

Really? Yeah. Is that because we have the Palmolive advertisement? No.

I don't know if that includes your replies or just theirs, but still, and then that's 15. And you win your argument with the one guy. Oh, I don't see that anywhere. I don't, are you sure?

Yeah. They chose me on each one in the back end of the YouTube page. I don't see anything over 100 comments. I'm just telling you what it said.

22, 18. Is it going based off of like all platforms, maybe? No, it can't. It's just YouTube.

YouTube doesn't share with anybody. We share with no one. This light's giving me a headache. Really?

Yeah. Maybe it's your head that's giving you a headache. Could be. Okay.

The swell. If you don't like that light and you want to switch it, I'll take that one, I guess. I guess. No, no, no, I'll get used to it.

Or we'll return it. Dim it or something. Yeah, I think that's as dim as it gets. Oh.

That thing's huge. Well, it's at 136 yesterday. Today's at 137. Yeah, that's just the color.

Oh, is that a color? Yeah, one is the... It didn't hurt yesterday. One is the dimness.

Ah. 37 is the... The color? Yeah.

Oh. All right, now the news. All right. Did you hear about Eric Dane Dine, the Dr.

McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy? These are things that come up in topic at my house. Oh, do they? Yeah.

What a nice man he was and how he left all his videos for his children and everything. He was McSteamy, right? Yeah, he was Dr. McSteamy.

Yeah. I didn't hear, we didn't go into detail. Oh, he died of ALS and had a big, supposedly he put up video, or he didn't put up, but they've been released, videos to his daughters. Did he?

Yeah, what they should do and whatever. Really? Yes. Well, a actress named Laura Tull calls Eric Dane "pure evil" days after his death.

Here we go. She was the reason he was fired from Grey's Anatomy. Okay. She alleged that Eric Dane used to bully her on the set of Grey's Anatomy.

She further shared how his death doesn't erase the pain he caused her and was quoted in saying, "He was a coward who abused me, bullied me, made fun of me when I had beaten cancer, when I was getting sick with autoimmune disease. He was a stuck-on-himself narcissist. I was a girl who just wanted to be an actor and be good at all, but I really didn't care for Beverly Hills or the sham of Hollywood glam. I wouldn't make a sex tape.

He got into my business. His dying does not change the destruction he caused me. Anybody after that? Somebody want to know that?

No, she made a statement on social media. I mean, come on. Let the guy go. You know what I mean?

He's already dead. He's not understanding the relevance of the last sentence in that whole thing. I don't know about the sex tape thing either. Unless he wanted to make one with her and she refused.

She's not an overly attractive woman. Or maybe she was just throwing it out there to see if it caught anything. Maybe if anybody wanted to do one. What?

What? Sex tape? We can do a sex tape. Ray J's still alive.

Wow. I'm just throwing darts here. He's bleeding from his eyeballs last week, but other than that, he's fine. Wow.

He tried to do a concert and started bleeding from his eyeballs. Oh, good. Oh, God. Anyway, he was dying of heart disease two weeks ago.

Yeah, he was. Still is, apparently. But that was it. " Yeah, no, he made me feel fat.

That sounds like a desperate grab for attention. Yeah. That's what it sounds like. You think so?

I'm the reason he got fired from Grey's, but Shondra won't admit it. Is that what she said? Yes. Yeah, I mean...

Because she complained about his attitude and how he treated her. That's how he treated her. That's terrible. It is.

A poor man's dad. Yeah. How old are his kids, you know? No, they're teenish or older.

They're not young children at all. Yeah, that's a shame, man. How do you feel about it, Phil? I've never watched Grey's Anatomy.

Really? Ever. Yeah. You know, it's been on for 22 seasons.

Really? Wow. I only know that because my wife watches it and I have to find the recent episode every time, So I have to go to season 22 and find the episode. I finally jumped to episode season two of Shrinking.

I did see that last night on Apple. I was gonna start watching it, but... It's really good. I'm not done with Peaky Blinders yet.

Is that the one with the shrinking wife? No. Oh, there's another one coming out called The Shrunkin' Wife. No.

This guy has a wife that's like two inches tall. I can't see that lasting long. Yeah. They did a whole movie with Matt Damon when he was two inches tall.

I'd like to just back up a second here. You're watching Peaky Blinders for the first time? Well, I'm on like season five, but yes. You didn't watch Peaky Blinders when it was peaking?

No, because it was, you know, I tried to get into it when it was first coming out, but the first two episodes were really rough for me, and I just kind of didn't get through it. Serious? Yeah, but then I re-watched it. I was like, okay, let me get through these first two, because then I found out Tom Hardy was in it.

I was like... Is it just because you don't understand them when they're speaking? We had this problem before with, like, Game of Thrones. He, like, watched it after everybody else watched it or something.

Right. Yeah, I've never watched Game of Thrones. See, there was something else that was on, and he was like, "Hey, I found this new show," and it was, you know, something we'd all seen years ago. Really?

I don't know about... You know, there's this man who had three sons and a lady who had three daughters, and they lived in a house. Oh. I heard about them.

Yeah. And this crazy maid named Alice. Yeah, Alice was the glue that kept 'em all together. Right, exactly.

Hmm. And that's the way they all became the Brady Bunch. Brady Bunch. Oh, I thought you guys were talking about the song.

No. Can't sing the song, we get in trouble. Yeah. I'll have to check the box.

Check the ad. Check that box. Okay, well. P.

McSteamy. All right, former UK ambassador to the US, Peter Mendelsohn. Uh-oh. He was arrested, admitted Epstein Probe, another guy in the...

So it's... So this is UK again? UK again. So UK's putting in the work.

UK's putting in the work. They're pulling people. Yes, and this guy apparently hasn't been the ambassador for a while. Metropolitan Police Spokesman said officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, February 23rd, and has been taken to a London police station for an interview. Oh. Do we have something like that here? Misconduct in public office?

No, I don't think so. We sort of thrive on that here. We thrive on misconduct in the public? That's sort of like how we decide who the president is going to be.

Yeah. Who is doing misconduct? But this guy, like the last guy, they busted him for documents. More docs.

Everybody's giving documents to the sex guy, and nobody's doing sex with the sex guy. K. government. Mm-hmm.

Yeah, I mean... We're arresting you for your connection to Epstein. Uh, the children... No documents.

Documents. Oh, documents, yeah, I didn't document. Well, do you think that this is kind of the strategy? Like, you couldn't get Capone until you got him for tax evasion?

So, you know, is that what you think the UK is doing here? It's like, okay, well, we can't get them for these crimes, but we can get them for the documents? I think this is less embarrassing. You think that that's what they're doing?

We've got all these high-level officials diddling children, but we can't say that. Allegedly. Allegedly, allegedly, sorry, allegedly. Check that box.

Diddly, yeah, check that box now. Untrue statements that aren't fact. Yep, we did that. Yeah, I think this is less embarrassing for the government to say they, you know, let's just say they gave them some, you know, some secret documents.

Right. And this guy gave business documents on what the price of gold is going to go up in England. Oh, well, I mean, giving that information could give somebody the upper hand. You know, I read an article when I'm looking through his other stuff.

The prince who got in trouble yesterday, he was married to Fergie. The sweaty guy? He was married to Fergie? He was married to Fergie.

Fergie was his wife. No kidding. And they got divorced, but they still lived in the same house until like two weeks ago. Oh, they just separated?

No, no. They got divorced years ago, but they lived in the same 30-room mansion. So one was in the east wing, one was in the west wing. Yeah, you don't run into each other, I guess.

Whatever, I'm just going to go to this side. But she had this love thing going on with Epstein where she was emailing him and stuff about, I want you to meet my daughters, we all should come live with you. Oh my god. Yeah, so apparently she had a thing for Epstein.

Fergie? Fergie, the redhead. Man. Wow.

The redhead? She's not redheaded. She was redheaded. She had red hair.

Fergie? Fergie. Are you sure this is red? They showed her picture.

Is that a black eyed pea, Fergie? No, not black eyed pea, Fergie. What Fergie are you? That's Fergie, the princess of Wales, or whatever the hell she was.

She was a duchess of something. Oh yeah, because everybody knows her as Fergie, yeah. Yeah, that's a totally different Fergie. Totally different Fergie.

We're all about... The judges of York, or whatever it is. Yeah, we're about the American Fergie. Oh, no, no, no Fergie.

Yeah. Wow, that's interesting. Black Eyed Peas singer. No.

Yeah. She wasn't married to the prince. Yeah, now it makes sense. Former prince, whatever he was, I don't know what he is now.

Yeah, Fergie of Fraggle Rock. So this other Fergie. Right. A totally different, less significant Fergie.

Yeah. Well, it depends on who he is. Yeah, exactly. And I'm an American, so...

Yeah. I was more surprised though. Yeah. The other Fergie, eh, that would have been a surprise too, I guess, but she didn't have two donors.

Yeah. With a prince. She could. Yeah.

I mean, maybe she did. So that was when still living in the same 30-room mansion somewhere in England. Makes sense. I couldn't imagine living with the real Fergie, the blonde one, in the same house, not being married to her.

I'd be like, what am I doing with my life? Like, why am I here? Why am I here? Yeah, she's just bringing all these other guys in and I have to- It's a 30-room mansion.

You could technically not run into her. You would never know. Maybe. No, he would.

He'd run to this. What are you doing? What are you doing? Stop it!

I love you! Oh my god! Oh my god! Is that lady from Grey's Anatomy in there?

Right! Wow. So there is a charge, by the way, in the US. It's just not on a federal level.

For who? Misconduct of... Oh, is there? It's not a federal offense?

Yeah, it's not a federal offense, but... It's a misdemeanor? No, no. But, no, it is a felony, actually.

It's a third-degree felony in most states. It's a state law. Political misconduct? Misconduct?

Not in Florida. We don't have that law here. Official misconduct of... What was it?

Politician. It's a big word. Yeah. Misconduct of a political figure.

Political. Oh. What is deemed misconduct? I don't know.

Is... They say bribery, bribery of public officials, honest service frauds, extortion. Aportion Under Color of Official Right, Conspiracy, Obstruction of Justice, Campaign Finance Violations, Embezzlement of Public Funds. Oh, they all do those things.

Allegedly. Allegedly, yes. Are you with us here, Micah? Yep.

James Garcia is texting me. He's a nice guy. He's texting me. S.

Women's hockey gold medal winning team has politely declined an invitation from the President Donald Trump to attend the State of the Union address. Okay. Here we go. Did you hear that?

He made a phone call to the men's team. Yeah. And congratulated them for the win. They're all excited.

" Right. " That's what he said? Yeah, that's what Donald Trump said. Some of the women, I guess, got a little miffed.

Oh, my God. S. S. women's team said in a statement released Monday, "Due to the timing and previously scheduled academic and professional commitments following the games, the athletes are unable to participate.

" Okay, so they respectfully bowed out. " Because he's going to send military planes to pick up the... Really? Yeah.

" Yeah, I'm sure I got a couple things later on. I got that, I got that... Oh, God, I was that... I got that Qatarian plane that they gave to me.

I'll let you borrow that one. But the women are just too busy. They can't make it too busy. Well, if that's the legitimate reason, then great.

I think they're a little miffed that they were a second-hand. I mean, maybe, but you're looking at it from a bird's-eye view. Maybe they're legitimately doing something. Well, they're doing the same thing the guys are.

They're in that thing in Miami, whatever, some hockey thing going on in Miami. Which seems a strange place to be doing a hockey thing, but... It's a good place. I mean, Miami?

It's a good place to celebrate anything. You know, the Florida Panthers just won. Yeah, but they don't play hockey there, do they? Is there an ice rink on there?

Yeah, sure. The Florida Panthers just won the Stanley Cup. Are they out of Miami? No.

No, I didn't think so. They are north of Fort Lauderdale. Yeah, they're south Florida. Oh, but not in Miami.

I mean, look, the last thing I'm doing is getting in a hockey rink. I'm just going to celebrate somewhere. Oh, you want to go play hockey? No, I don't.

Nope, I don't want to do it. Well, the women don't have to worry. Okay. S.

hockey team to celebrate their gold medal win in Las Vegas via social media on the 23rd. Are they going to that? Public Enemy founding member wrote on social media that if the team wants a real celebration and invite, I'll host them in Las Vegas, do some nice dinners, shows, have a good time. S.

water polo sides in Paris during the 2024 Summer Games. The invite comes on the heels of the women's hockey team, declining an invitation to the State of the Union address on the White House. So instead, they're gonna go to Vegas and party with Flavor Flav. Would you rather hang out with Flavor Flav, Phil, or witness the State of the Union?

It's a tough call. That is, yeah. Are you out of your mind? I mean, Flavor Flav would be dope.

But how many times do you get invited to the State of the Union? Yeah, the one time. Yeah. No matter who's in office.

Yeah, okay, so you go in, you see it, and then you got to sit there and listen to the speech. How long is that speech? That's kind of a big deal. Yeah, how many people can say that they went there?

Yeah. Is it hard to get in? Yeah, I'm sure it is. Yeah, you got to be on the list, Palmer.

You got to be on the list? I'm sure it is, yeah. I mean, there's all the senators and congressmen and everybody there. Yeah, I guess you could be an official misconduct politician and go, you know, be on the list, yeah.

It's fun because you get to see the people that inappropriately don't stand or clap for someone who's got like cancer or something, because it's for the other party, you know? Oh, he's having good stuff. Yeah, that's what's always entertaining me. This person, you know, saved the lives of thousands of people, and I have a word I'm like, and we're not, we're not applying.

Celebrate him, he's a Republican, I'm not standing. Don't you clap. Don't you clap. Don't you clap for him.

Don't you clap over there. Yeah. It's like they're all little Will Smiths and Jada's. " Right.

Go slap that man. Go slap that man. I don't know, Flavor Flav would be a good time, too. Dude, you're out of your mind.

I would go to see. Look, I don't care who the president is. I don't care who the president is. " I got invited to the White House.

I know I've sat and listened to a long-ass speech. State of the Union's important. Do you ever watch the State of the Union on TV? Yeah.

Do you? Really? He just said that he watches them inappropriately not clap. Yeah.

It's funny. It's funny to me. No matter who's up, who's talking, it's fun to see the reactions of the crowd. Oh, the crowd.

Yes. We all can't stand up and just acknowledge this one person. Got it. Do we all get to stand up around the president as he does a speech?

Yeah. That'd be fun. It's funny because, you know, you wonder why people are so petty. I'm like, well, look at the politicians you have in office.

Hey, look at the examples they give us. Well, the examples that we put in there, well, it's the examples that we put in, okay, all right, all right, you have a video, Michael? I don't, thank God, I hate when you have a video, thank God, didn't want to check that box, I hate when you have a video, yeah, I don't have to check that box, all right, on to cigar news, Big Sky Cigars is adding a cryptid GWB in October. GWB?

Yes. I can just imagine what the name of the cigar is. What does that stand for? This fall, Big Sky Cigar Company will be releasing a new blend with some very unique artwork.

B. will be a 5x60 Vitola with an undisclosed blend. B. in the name stands for?

Guess? B. Bush. No.

Phil? Too many letters. I don't know. I don't want to say it because I want you to have to check any boxes.

Oh, Great White Buffalo. The Great White Buffalo. Or George W. Bush.

An American Bison with white fur that is considered spiritually sacred for numerous Native American religions, including the Cherokee, Comanche, and Navajo, and the Sioux Tribes. Each cryptid Great White Buffalo will have an MSRP of... This is Big Sky. This is the one that Greg cut open in front of us.

We're not talking about that now? $16. That was the number I was going to pick, $15. $15.

Yay! That will be packed in a 10-count box. Production will be limited to 5,000 buffaloes or 50,000 cigars. As part of the release, the 10 Cigar Bands will feature custom hand-drawn art by some Indian tribe artist, Ramona Crowbear.

According to the Big Sky Cigar Company, the art on each band will be a one-of-a-kind interpretation Inspired by cryptids, classic monsters, and native storytelling traditions. Wow. The goal of the sideband artwork is to create something I haven't seen before in the cigar world, said Brandon Marsh, Vice President of Big Sky Company. Hmm.

Interesting. That's exciting. That sounds very exciting. I'm very excited.

Warped is shipping Isla del Crocodilio. Oh. I like the Crocodilio. Crocodilio, Bombadilio.

Crocodilio. Oh, Perfectos! Bombardier. Sorry, I should've hit the button again.

Next month. Via posts on Instagram page, Warped Cigars has announced that the newest Vitola in the company's Isla del Crocodilio line will be a Perfecto and will be shipping soon. The blend is in the same as the original sizes. In the line, it will be made up of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, dual Brazilian Adaparaca, an Ecuadorian Habano, 2,000 binders, and fillers from Nicaragua.

Adaparaca? Ata Paraca. Ata Paraca. The cigars will be packaged in 15-count boxes, and the blend is produced at Tablical Era La Isla in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

An email sent to the company asking for additional information was said no. But no, I have to give it to you. No return to it. Is this from Half Wheel?

Is it from Half Wheel? I don't think they get along. They don't like each other? Well, I don't know if it's a two-way street.

I think the rumor is that, um, what's it in Kyle or whatever? I don't think that he likes Half Wheel. Oh, why not? I don't know, maybe Bad Review or something.

Oh, it happens. They get an 82 or something? Yeah, right? Oh, did you get an 82?

Did he tell you that you, uh, you flew too close to the sun, Icarus? Because... The Crocadilio Perfectos will begin shipping to retailers on March 4th. Are we getting the Perfecto Crocadilio?

I don't even know who to call for these guys. For Warped. There was no name mentioned in this at all for anybody. There's no quotes.

It was off their... Oh, because you got it off their Instagram? Maybe they don't talk. Yeah, I wouldn't mind speaking to them about it, but...

No talkie. You know, it's a weird scenario. I did watch the David Garofalo Simply Stogie's interview. Oh, did you?

How'd he do? How'd her boy do? David did well. I mean, he's a good guy.

I like everything he said. That makes sense. Did you watch his snow video? No.

Oh, that was amazing. What's the snow video? I told you about that yesterday. Oh, yeah.

Stand outside with the phone on the end of a selfie stick trying to do a video and they keep going like this because the wind's blowing so hard. We're outside. The audio cuts in and out because he doesn't have a microphone and you can't hear him when the wind blows. He's puffing on a little cigar.

And I'm smoking. It's perfect out here. We're open. Well, I'm here.

You can come park your car. Looked like you couldn't get the car near the building. Yeah. They look like it.

I bet you people showed up. I bet they did. Somebody showed up. Somebody did.

Somebody went to go see David. We're down to what's the score. We're only halfway through the show. There was no news today.

It was very hard. It's getting harder and harder. Updates in Mexico. Okay, what you got?

It's worse. Now they've expanded the areas that they say you should shelter in place to. Right. Now they've gone to Cabo and another resort area.

They're in a resort area. Oh, no, not Cabo. If you're in a resort, they're telling you to stay locked in. Don't leave.

Don't go outside. How are we not sending our freedom down there? I saw one video that there was a Marine helicopter flying over. Really?

But it just flew over. It didn't stop. Look at all that. Look at all that.

Well, he sent... Who's down there? He sent over some military presence as a deter. Yeah.

Deter for what? Deter... Thinking that they would quit and... Apparently not right.

They're not right. No, they're thugs. They don't stop because the military shows up. Right.

You guys actually have to land and kill us. I'm sorry. Just flying by ain't gonna do shit. We're taking over the country.

Oh. Ah. Two times. Check that box.

That's one and two. Yeah. Well, dude, just be honest with it. You know what I mean?

It was the first one yesterday. I'm like, well, I don't know how to answer these. It's not gonna make or break. Just be honest.

Now we can let it fly. Don't fly. No, we still haven't done the F-1. Oh.

That's third level. That's level three profanity. Level three swearing. It was right before five stars and all the police come out.

Yeah. That's right. They shut us down. We're talking Mexican cartels, severe takeover, burning of Costco.

Right. Oh, I heard them. They mentioned that they're burning Costco's in two different news stories. Yeah.

Because it's a big deal. It's a big deal. Yeah. 50 hot dog.

And you destroyed that for you and everybody else. Nobody can have that. Yeah. It's not right.

You'd kill El Chapo, now ain't nobody get that. No more hot dog for you. No more hot dogs. Is it El Chapo?

No, it was El Mencho. El Mencho. Oh. That's how you say it, apparently.

I've heard it on 12 different news stores. Yeah. But it's definitely not how you say Araparaca. I can tell you that much.

Araparaca. I went from ranking. I saw a quote from them, and they're like- Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay. Fire hot.

Parriba! No, they're like, we will forever- We are going to forever let El Mencho's name live. As the four letter word. " Four, there's five.

M-E-N-T-H-O, there's six. You're gonna get bored, like... There's gonna be a new guy, eventually. Forever's gonna be over in about Wednesday.

You know, no one say El Mencho no more. Now you say El Guapo. El Guapo. Oh, he's back.

El Guapo. Oh. I like that, from the movie, it's very funny. From Three Amigos?

Three Amigos. Yeah. Great movie. That is great.

El Guapo. Did you see Samantha Guthrie did a plea? No, did she do another plea? Please let my mother go, sweetheart, I'm very sorry.

Well, she said that if she's gone, that she wants somebody to come forward. They're offering a million dollar reward. For the body now? Yeah, for any type of, up to a million dollars for any type of.

Up to. So you get 75 cents if she's done. I, you know, she didn't specify that on the 75 cents. It sounds like she just wants some closure.

Sure. Yeah. You want to be, you want to be done with this. Well, we just sent her our video clips.

She looks, sent her our clips. Hey, she's, she's gone. She looked distraught. Oh, I'm sure she's miserable, not sleeping, don't know what's going on.

I was like, oh God. Yeah. Now with this whole cartel thing, she's never going to know. Yeah, that's probably what happened.

She got tied up. Right now, right. Oh, there was a cartel, you know, we killed her. Cartel's on, they're never going to talk about her mother again.

Yeah. Take the white woman. Wait till they attack America. Then, you know, they don't want to do that.

You think they're going to come across the border and burn some of the local border towns? Good luck with that. Yeah, we talked about this yesterday. Yeah, but they're expanding now.

Okay. Let them come. If they were to cross, you'd have a serious problem on your hands. Yeah, dude.

Well, I mean, they cross back and forth all the time. There's tunnels and things everywhere. But if they started burning houses and stuff, right? Well, that's happened before.

Dude. In the movie, in the TV show, Lioness, they came over and got a senator. You want to talk about 51st State? We would possess Mexico.

Like, if you can't control them, we're going to control them, we're going to control you, we're going to control all of us. Trump's probably over there in office going, let's just bomb them. Well, the hardest part... What do you say, guys?

I got a speech to do. It'd be a nice thing to top off the speech with. The hardest part is that the Mexican cartel is not just in Mexico, right? So, like, they're all over the US.

Yeah. So what would happen? S. soil and the government went against it, would they start attacking in other states, or?

What do you mean? Because the Mexican cartel is not only in Texas and California and all those, you know, bordering states. You mean they're in like Alabama, you know, New Jersey. You attack other states, you're gonna have a problem.

I don't think there's enough of them in the other states. You know, they shuttle 20 or 30 across under the tunnel at the border of Texas, blow up El Paso or something. I don't know. I mean, I know there's definitely, I know there's definitely other states.

There's not just one or two guys. Um, I knew somebody who is, uh, stationed on the border and they were being watched by the cartel. Yeah. Yeah.

Soldiers were. They were told not to go anywhere by yourself. Yeah. You know, don't go out at night.

I mean, they go, the car sitting over there with that guy in it with the clipboard. He's right now when you come and go. Yeah. Yeah, they're very, I mean, I mean, yeah, they, they do some dumb things, but they're not dumb.

Still, uh, still gangsters. The clipboard guy's gotta go as far as I'm concerned. Yeah. Yeah, take out the clipboard guys.

Well, he's on the, he's on the other side of the border. I mean, it's just a fence there. Bullets travel. No, no borders.

Just shoot 'em? Yeah. Sniper. Yeah, it's not a bulletproof fence.

Not a bulletproof windshield either. Right. Right. Oh, maybe.

Who knows with their stuff. Nah, not in the car he's sitting in. Not a 50 cal. Yeah.

Okay. So, we can do this. We move to what's the score. All right.

You ready for what? Oh, the industry's favorite game. What's the score? Today's cigar, May 14th, 2022.

Patrick LaGreed Cigars, Constella Group, Nicaraguan Reviews, Luciano, the Dreamer, Bellicoso. Oh. For Phil. Oh, for me first?

No, no, no. No, we let Champion try to go. Phil's favorite cigar. 84.

Can you hear my stomach growling on the microphones? No. 84. Really?

A Dreamer. This was the first one, right? I don't know. The one with Tiago's player?

No, there's a Dreamer, Lancero, I almost did, but in the pictures it looked terrible, so the Bellicoso looked nicer. Man, that's really bad, like if in a picture your cigar looks bad. It wasn't straight. Sometimes they're not straight.

Ah, Tiago, you sat on all the cigars. What are you doing? We still sell. We still sell.

Let me be fine. Yeah, they're good. They like me. I'm the Dreamer.

I'm NBA star. What's your score over there, Booty or Philly? Oh, 81. Cigar Review, Luciano, the Dreamer, Bella Coso, Country of Origin, Nicaragua, Factory, the one I owned that day, Tadlicalera, Pichardo.

Oh, this is Pichardo. Pichardo. 95 a box number of cigars released dozens this is a regular production question mark and they smoked three cigars for the review 87 because of Pachardo or I don't understand why you went out Pachardo well you're going against me so I can't The guy ran the Starship Enterprise. Yeah, that's Picard, Picard.

Yeah, Picardo? Picardo. Oh, that same guy? Put it up.

Captain's law. Richard Pichard. Oh, that's not the way he talks. I know, that's a different one.

That was Shatner. Yeah. He shat his pants. Or the Reading Rainbow guy.

You know the movie where he had the horse in the movie and he jumped over that fence back and forth, back and forth? Yeah. That was his real horse. Oh, yeah?

Yeah. What was the horse's name? I don't remember. You should have just went with it.

Give me something. Shaky. Shaky? Shaky the horse.

Shaky and Shatner? Mm-hmm. Rolling together? Rolling together.

Jumping over fences. Jumping over fences. I'm going to go with 81s though. Okay.

Clue number one. The oily wrapper and clean and bellicose construction make a strong first impression that it was made by someone else. Oh, sorry. Oh my God.

And overall construction in the first half performs well with good draw, smoke production, and balance. Disregard the first part of the clue? Yeah, that part wasn't right. 87.

I have a tumor in my eyeball. Oh, God. Well, you got another eyeball. Be like Mark Palmer.

He can't see at all, boy. He responds to my texts. Yeah, but if you see him on his phone, it's one word at a time. It's text to voice.

Text is much easier. 81. Clue number two. The flavor progression builds nicely from a mild, approachable opening into richer notes of dry earth, brownie sweetness, creaminess, and increasing pepper, showing complexity and evolution throughout the smoke.

87. 81. Combustion becomes a reoccurring issue in the second half. With relights, moisture concerns, a jagged burn line, and a And a heavier, sharper finish that detracts from the overall experience.

Oh boy. Oh boy. 84. Like most of us, oh sorry.

82. Final thought. The Luciano, the Dreamer, Bellicoso, starts off on a good note and builds throughout the first half before hitting an interesting wall created out of combustion issues, stolen value, oh sorry, that quickly jar the flavor out of its enjoyable state. I can't quite tell if the flavor change that comes along in the second half is part of the blend, a byproduct of the combustion issues, or some combination of the two or three, but after three samples consistently did the same thing, identifying the cause, doesn't rectify the problem, it's an unfortunate finish for an otherwise enjoyable cigar that seemed to have a good amount to offer the palate, but ultimately gets remembered for the things he did wrong, rather than the things he did right.

Hopefully this is an isolated incident, and I really do recommend this blend, and that whatever is causing the issue, gets resolved. 83. They're way too nice in this. That's very sweet.

Well, we know what the future is, so obviously it wasn't one isolated incident. 82. 83 on the nose, a man got it. And I went first.

How much did you pay Palmer to give you all the answers this week? Give you all the answers this week. Blame Canada. He didn't even know what cigar I did.

Canadian Phil. I started to text you last night because I almost did one that I think we've done one of his before. Did we? Was it the Maria Lucia?

Probably. I have no idea, dude. We do one of these a day at this point, two on Mondays. Yeah, I know.

I don't know. Where are you going to be? Tomorrow. Which is today.

Which is today. Oh. In a couple hours then, I will be at... Northport Cigars in Northport, Florida.

There you go. And there will be a rerun. There will be a rerun tomorrow. On Thursday.

On Thursday, because I have an event and Mikey is going to a memorial service for Espinosa Senior. Yes. So I thought we would replay the last Espinosa. The interview one?

Episode, yeah. Okay, that's good. I think that's appropriate. The one from the private lounge.

Yeah. That was a good show. Yeah, this is one of those, I mean, we have been able to successfully navigate through anything. When we're out of town, you're out of town, whatever.

Right. It's more important to us to be there for our friends than it is to- I wish I could go. Yeah. Than to record, I mean, you could always bail out of your event if you wanted to.

I wouldn't be mad at it if you decided that. Oh. If you did. Look, I mean, at the end of the day, you know, like, this is a hard time for somebody, and, you know, being there, I think, is showing up for your friends is what matters most.

So, see how it plays out. If you don't, you know, if, like, I'll be there, you know, and I'm part of you, right? So, there will be representation of us. I don't think that Eric reads into that, like, oh, well, Palmer didn't come.

Right, yeah, no, no, he won't even notice I wasn't there. But, you know, at the end of the day, you remember these things. So, it's important to be there for the people when, you know, when times are tough. So, yeah, we'll be there.

All right, that's episode 475. Thank you very much. Thank you. Like and subscribe if you're enjoying the edutainment.

The entertainment. You know, you didn't use that word on Preston. No. You said entertainment and education.

Because I wasn't supposed to say it. Oh. He has to? Well, it's his role, but I just, you know, I picked it up for him.

Well, it's your show now. It's not my show. It's not your show. No.

You do the intro and the exit, so. Okay, bye-bye. All right, bye. Bye.
