Transcript
Hello peoples, yes you can
start.
Welcome to a Cigar House with
podcast episode 476.
I'm Mike Palmer, your host, and
with me today is Phil.
I'm going to be a daddy again.
Mcguffey over at Engineering and
then it's my Co host Mikey.
I like to edit Preston's show
late at night so he's the last
thing I see before bed.
Wow she's devil.
Wow wow.
I I welcome gentlemen.
I drove all the way to Miami for
a funeral, drove back, coached 2
teams for basketball, ate dinner
and edited.
Oh, you made it back in time for
sports.
Yeah.
Oh good for you and edited the
video.
The one that you labeled Preston
is a hottie.
Oh God.
Yeah, yeah, I forgot.
Yeah.
That's great.
I should.
Have left that on there because
it's his memory stick.
You should have left it on there
for him.
He would have he would have been
like, what is going on here?
Hey I want.
I made him.
I made him say something about
your haircut too by.
The way.
Oh, tell him.
Tell.
Him, he said.
I said you guys have to tell him
he got his haircut, looks nice.
Did he say something?
What did he say?
He.
Goes, hey, that's one, that's a
really nice haircut.
As soon as he walked in, I go,
yeah, he likes that stuff.
He likes that.
You're a terrible person.
There's.
Very few things I get to have
fun with around here.
Are you connect connected to the
road caster?
Nobody is connected.
OK, alright, we don't have
headphones either.
No way we're calling someone.
Oh yeah, I'll, I'll make a
speaker call then today.
Oh, you didn't tell me.
Well, yeah, it would have been a
little bit better if you would
have told us 5 minutes ago.
Before.
Before the show, not during.
I'm too busy correcting all your
problems.
Flavor Flav title, Title of the
last show.
Go look at it.
The last show was replay.
No, the one before that.
ACHP Replay Flavor Flav.
It's flavor.
Flavor Flav I.
Looked up the spelling of his
name.
Look, it's the title is flavour
FAV comma equal sign.
I fixed that.
Did it still show up?
You did not fix that.
I thought I fixed.
Clearly you didn't.
Was he trying to make like a
little :) at the end?
I was making a :) Yeah is.
That what you're doing?
Yes.
You forgot the smiley part.
Oh damn it.
Flav Flavour fav.
Flavour fav.
That's how you spell it.
I looked it up.
Flavour Flav.
That's how you spell his name.
Flavour Flav, yes, So there
would be an L in there.
Oh, flav not fav not flav fav.
What you're saying?
Yeah, I love it.
They had to.
I had to.
I had to upload 6 shows that
night.
Nothing makes me happier than
when somebody telling me
continuously that I'm wrong and
they're I.
Didn't understand what you were
saying.
You don't.
Know what you're talking about?
You're an idiot.
Yeah, you're right.
I'm a completed.
Just let's spell Flav.
Just to get back on track here,
does Preston watch our show at
all?
No.
Oh man, if you watch Preston
Show, no, no, but I don't think
you guys talk about boots on
that show.
I have to watch his shorts.
We subscribed.
He doesn't.
Yeah, we did subscribe.
He doesn't even know who you
are.
You've showed up right?
Once or twice.
No, I know.
But I'm saying, like we talk
about Preston on our show, he
doesn't want.
And for one of the and for one
of the podcasts that you showed
up, for one of the ones you
decided to eat a sandwich in the
background.
Did you hear me?
No, he just sat down and got
lunch and was like, okay.
You can eat during the.
Show no, no, no, no you can't.
I had to text him and said could
during the podcast.
Could you move please with your
Burger King?
I was saying that.
Yeah.
Background for continuity and.
Stuff, right?
Yeah, That's what Mikey always
says about our show.
Yeah, Come on in.
Do whatever you want.
Whatever you want, not.
On Preston Show.
I'm OK with a natural atmosphere
and a cigar lounge for a cigar
podcast.
That's natural.
And so he should have been
dribbling a ball or playing play
football.
Yeah, I mean, if you come in and
you drop a Hardee's bag with a
soda, I'll.
Make sure you.
Heard of IFLAG by the way.
No.
What's iflag?
Iflag.com is a big flag football
organization that advertises on
iHeartRadio.
Really.
Yeah.
What are they?
I know I heard the commercial
yesterday when I was driving.
But no idea what they're they're
about.
They were talking.
About tournament, they do
national tournaments and stuff
in places.
So they're a league.
Yeah, they're a league.
OK.
Oh, that's cool.
I thought it was an EI mean.
I'm with Preston here.
Well, I know, but I didn't know
it was a league you guys could
sign up to play against.
You want me to play more, more
football?
More football well, when you
start, you know for your.
Yeah, you have your own league.
See what our school league just
started for kindergarten and for
oh 4th.
Grade.
Are you the coach for the
school?
Yeah.
Oh my God.
So that's do you get a tuition
discount?
No.
Do you get paid?
No.
It's not like a good deal.
So right now, so so if you if
you include basketball with
those two teams running, I'm
back to 9.
You do school basketball too.
I do when that happens.
What's the deal for that one?
$0.00.
No tuition discount.
Why do you do everything for
free?
What?
Yeah, everything's for free,
right?
What normally happens is I get
some parents to give me some
some advice that I don't ask
for.
They give you money, honestly.
Actually, the parents are the
parents.
I got to be honest.
If you're.
One of his parents.
Could you start tipping?
Knock on wood, the parents are
really great in all of them.
They're really good to me.
They're they don't give me a
hard time at all.
Do you have Venmo?
Of course.
You should put like your Venmo
QR code on the shirt.
On the shirt?
Yeah, on.
Every kid's shirt, right?
If you like what you see here,
tipless if.
You're if you're enjoying your
education.
I don't know if you'd like what
you see here all the time,
That's that's the problem.
Well, then, they just don't.
Scan it.
That's what they do at church.
They put the scanner code up on
the.
Oh, they just throw that up
there now.
Sometimes, yeah.
Oh, they don't even pass around
a plate.
That's when they're going
hardcore.
They put, they do the plate.
Oh, hardcore is.
Hardcore.
Put the Just put the pinch on
them.
Place the plates this week.
Make them feel bad when they
grab it.
I go during, we go during like
the school one, like, well,
it's, you know, whenever.
Yeah, they don't pass around the
plate during the school one
because all the kids are there.
Well, yeah, they don't have no.
Money, kids, take the money.
Like but when we show it to some
of the other ones like Doll,
they got me.
Right.
Yeah, like honey, you got cash.
Well, it's funny too now,
because it's like you're
supposed they give you envelopes
and you're supposed to put your
name on the envelopes and stuff.
I'm like, I'm not doing all
that.
I'm.
Doing that your.
Name.
I'm just, yeah.
Yeah, they want to give you
credit or they want to know,
belittle you one or the other.
I'm.
Just dropping cash in the in the
bin, that's it, you know?
Then they do like a a report at
the end of the year on the big
screen in front of everybody.
Yeah, this is how much Stephen
Kevitch family is given.
Steph, like Kevitch, $17.00.
Here's the top.
Here's the top five.
What are you?
Talking about I coach all your
basketball teams there I I.
Do all your sports.
Do you know how much time I
sacrifice with this?
Do you know Preston?
I'm already I'm already
stressing out about it all.
Right, so let's get back to the
show here.
So you went to the Espinoza
funeral?
Yesterday, yeah, but we don't
want to talk about chapter pod
swagger.
Now we're getting ready to talk
about why.
How do you get some of that
chapter pod swag We.
Get to that.
Just yeah, it's normally after
he reads off like what we're
going to talk about.
Yeah, this is the part of the
show where we just sort of talk
about what happened.
OK, OK, I did go.
And then I'd say what the show
is and then I go.
But before we get started.
And then you do the chapter pod
swag in the comments.
OK, I'm very.
And then we do the, I mean,
we've only been doing it for
eight years.
Flavor fav.
This is the new by the way, but
OK flavor fav.
So you went the Espinoza funeral
I did, said a bunch of cigar
dignitaries.
There were who's who of finest
people.
There were some heavy hitters
there.
There was a couple guys, you
know.
Guy Fieri.
He was not at the funeral, but I
believe he was at the wake.
Why?
Did he go to the funeral?
I don't know, maybe he had to.
Was it at a church or like
graveside?
No.
It was at, it was, it was at the
burial.
Yeah, yeah.
There were a couple guys there.
There were like there were a
couple of retailers there, but
you know, they're, they're
they're from what I understood,
they were kind of stand out.
Obviously Abe was there, which
was, you know, very respectful.
He's he's awesome.
He's a funny guy.
He said something to me and I
countered back because he's
talking about you.
He's like, make sure you say
something, something to your
significant other.
And I'll and I said, I'll tell
her.
He said hello.
He goes, wait, who?
Who do you think I'm talking
about?
I'm not.
I would never say anything like
that about your wife, really.
I'm like, oh, I know exactly who
you're talking about.
Like you got to be witty, man.
I, you know, like, if you're
going to come for me, I, I got
instant counters so.
But yeah, man, he was he was
very gracious.
We talked a little bit.
Mr. Son, was there your friend?
Yeah.
And but here's what I got to
tell you, though, was that's
remarkable about some of the
people in the Espinoza
organization.
I mean, they're all pretty
remarkable.
But there are two things that I,
that I saw when I was there that
really kind of highlighted it
for me #1 when Eric's mom was
done speaking, first of all,
that was difficult to listen to
because I'm like, oh God, you
know, like I'm going to I, you
know, you start getting choked
up when you start to see, you
know, even though he had a great
life and he lived a long period
of time, like she's now like her
partner is gone.
Yeah, it's emotional.
Yeah, so that's tough.
Once, once it was kind of the
ceremony or whatever was done,
she walked the service.
Thank you.
She walked away and then kind of
sat out in the sun.
Richie ran out and ran right to
the car and got an umbrella and
just stood there and hold it,
held it for her the entire time
so that she had some shade
'cause it was hot.
And the other one that I saw, we
got there kind of early because
just that, that's how traffic
worked out, right?
So we had there like an hour
early.
So we were, I think we were the,
we might have been the first
people there, if not, you know,
the second people there.
And so we parked by the office,
which is far away, and then we
kind of walked up.
And then Hector pulls up and you
can park close to where he's
being buried.
So we see Hector like, hey,
what's up?
And then all of a sudden kind of
Hector disappears.
And Hector parked so far away, I
couldn't see his car.
This guy has had a his entire
leg reconstructed, right.
And the ground that you're
walking on, it's not even at
all.
It's it's a it's a cemetery.
Yeah, it's a cemetery.
So, you know, no one would have
looked thought twice if he'd
have parked closer, right.
But like, that's the integrity
that this that that Hector has.
Like, you know what I'm going to
I'm going to pull far away.
I'm going to stay out of it and
I'm going to and I'll walk up,
right.
So when you see things like
that, you're like, man, you
don't, you don't know if
somebody notices that at all.
Like you don't do that to see if
you know, like I'm going to.
He didn't do it to make a point.
Right.
He did it just to be a good
person.
I'm like, man, you know that
that was stellar, you know, so
And then, of course, you saw
Eric and, you know, well, I saw,
you know, a handful of people.
But yeah, it was, it was good.
But Jack wanted me to call him,
so I'll give him a buzz real
quick, see if he's available.
Yes, Sir.
Hey, buddy, I got you on the
podcast.
I don't have my headphones, so I
just did the speakerphone.
How are you, Sir?
Hold.
On one second, hold on, sorry to
just.
Hold on.
It's OK.
All right, We'll hold.
We'll hold.
We're not doing anything.
Make it a sandwich, it's fine.
Oh, sandwich.
Sandwich.
I love sandwiches.
Sandwich.
Sandwich.
Sandwich A knuckle sandwich.
OK.
How's it going guys?
Good man it was it was great to
see you.
You know, I wish it was on
better circumstances, but I did
just want to call to you and and
Palmer wanted to give his wanted
to speak to you and wanted to
give his condolences as well.
So and then obviously.
I wanted, I wanted to thank you
all you all for, for attending.
That was a a special moment
that, that, that, that all of
you came.
Well, wait a minute.
Not all of you, right?
Yeah, no, Palmer wasn't.
No.
I had an event, Palmer.
I had an event.
I couldn't make it.
Very sorry.
He said he had an event.
He says he's very sorry he had
an event.
Yeah, events, events are way
more important.
You know, those little cut,
those little cut lights are way
more important.
I I get.
It.
Man, yeah.
You know, it was like, what are
you gonna do?
You know, someone's dad passes.
You gotta gotta go, you know?
Yeah, but.
I gotta go do a cut light a
little three in one.
Yeah, I gotta do a three in one.
But no Palmer, Palmer, I, I
Heckle, I Heckle you.
But, but thank you for thank you
for the condolences on behalf of
the Espinosa family.
It was a a very special event
and it was amazing that Mike and
Greg made the drive to attend,
you know?
Yeah, Well, we love you guys,
man.
We're always here for you guys,
so.
But the heckling didn't go as
well as I planned.
I thought that he would go
sideways, but he kind of laughed
it off.
I knew it was.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, so damn.
All right, Palmers.
Palmers used to be in a whipping
boy, yeah.
Yes, yes, he.
Kind of takes that shit in
stride.
He doesn't square him as much as
he used to.
It's not a fault.
I know my place in the industry.
Well, he's been doing it for 10
years, so but.
Was there a, is there a
tradition in, in, in?
Because today I was Privy to the
card you gave Eric.
Yes.
It is that a tradition?
Well, you know, here's what I'm
going to tell you I don't want.
To say I don't want to say much
more than that.
Yeah, well, here's here's what
I'm going to tell you.
You know, you know.
What?
You know what I'm talking about.
Like the here's the reality,
people, all people go through
things and they have these
struggles.
And like, you know, I got stuck
with the bill when it happened
to me, right?
Yeah.
So that sucks.
And I don't care how much money
you have, like, like, you know,
no matter what the circumstances
are, no matter where I am, no
matter what I'm what I'm kind of
doing.
Like if someone has more money
than me and we go out to dinner,
it's not like I'm expecting that
person to pay, right?
And I don't think, I don't think
that it's appropriate to have
that belief, right?
So no matter where somebody is
in success, it's always, I think
that it's always important to,
to acknowledge that, hey man,
all this ain't cheap, right?
So I want to, I want to, I want
to alleviate that, that feeling
too.
Because, you know, it's, you
know, I, I've been in the other,
I've been on the other side of
that and it sucks.
So on top of dealing with
everything else.
So, you know, yeah, that's, it's
not a, it's not a, not a
tradition.
He was extremely moved by not
only your appearance, but, but
by that card and, and, and he
was, it was, it was a moving
moment in the meeting this
morning.
He, he brought that up and, and
we were all blown away by by
your guys kindness and
generosity.
So we, we really appreciate it.
You are.
You are.
Whatever the inner circle is of
Espinoza, you have entered it.
I've definitely answered it,
man.
Yeah, you might.
You might be a tighter than I
am.
Like I said, you know I don't.
I haven't been invited to
anything.
So.
Well, maybe one day you'll get
there.
You'll get I believe in you.
I believe they were surprised.
They were surprised to see me at
the funeral.
Jack, what are you doing here?
You're.
Here, Oh, well, I mean, you
know, like, listen, it was that
it had a big impact on you too,
man.
And when I saw you, I was like
you, you need to get it
together.
Like like you're not you're not
helping me right now.
I'm telling you so.
Listen, listen to the I told
somebody, I told Ceci that story
that, that, that when you saw me
and, and I was breaking down,
you were like, you need to stop.
Because if you don't stop, I'm
going to start.
Right, this is not going to be
good for anybody.
Right, nobody needs to see.
This Yeah, they're like, what's
wrong with him?
You know, the, the, The thing is
the very, you know, listen,
senior was a a very, was a part
of my life for the last 7 plus
years, right?
And, and when you get to smoke
cigars with somebody of that age
and, and this guy that pole
punches never did anything.
So he was really entertaining.
I mean, one of the funny, one of
the quick.
Do you have a moment?
Yep.
One of the one of the one of the
funny things that would always
happen here.
And I used to do it in the
Terano days when I would go do a
multi vendor.
You know, the, the manufacturers
tend to trade cigars in these
things because it gets to a
point where the line stops and
we're, you know, we're sharing
cigars with each other, right?
And I always bring a big bag of
cigars from all the other
manufacturers and, and I bring
them to the office where there'd
be a Terano.
Then there wasn't an office in
general for me to go to.
But but, but I would bring that
bag and we'd all share it.
And you know, it's good to know
what other people making in the
industry.
Of course it's good.
It's a goat.
Smoke everybody's cigars.
And I did that one day here
about two or three years back
and and installs the old man and
he sees the bag sitting on the
table.
Right.
And this, this whole
conversation happened in
Spanish.
But he starts like he holds up
the bag and he looks into it.
It's a clear Bogota bag.
And and then he sets it down and
he starts picking through it and
he separates like 8 of the
cigars.
There's like 30 cigars a day.
He separates like 80 of them.
And I finally said, hey, what
are you doing?
And in Spanish, he told me.
Don't you fucking worry what I'm
doing.
I wonder where?
I wonder where Eric gets it
from.
Right.
Yeah, He just walked out with
all his pockets full of all the
cigars I was fucking.
I want this one.
I want this one.
And he was a character.
And much like Sessi's dad, that
was a part of my life for the
first four years of me and Sessi
were together.
And I used to get to enjoy a
cigar with him and talk about
when he was young and I used to
enjoy all that shit.
And I miss him greatly.
And we're all gonna miss Erics
dad greatly.
I mean, he was a big, he left a
big footprint here.
You know, it was always great to
see him here.
It was always, you know, a good
day when he came and he was
having a good day to enjoy
Domino's and shoot the shit and
and, and, and and spend time at
the office.
So he's, he's going to be
missed.
He's going to be.
Absolutely.
Missed.
But Eric, I think Eric said it
best that he when he said he
wasn't sad about his death.
He's happy for the life that man
LED.
Yeah.
And he was he was a very special
person.
And and again, we appreciate
everybody that reached out to
Eric and reached out to me and
everybody here.
And and listen, I, I feel more
like family here.
I joke about everything, but I
feel more family here than I did
in the Terrania days, actually,
right.
You know, these these people are
are you know, when you're when
you're in the Espinoza world
here you are.
You are part of this family.
Yep, you got some good dudes
around you man, that's for sure.
And I think the viewing and the
burial yesterday was a good you
saw it yesterday that the
outpouring of love for this man
was incredible and a tribute to
the whole Espinoza family.
So 100 percent, 100%.
We appreciate Paul, brother.
I appreciate you too, man.
And Palmer.
Is dead to me.
Again, you're dead to him.
One more time.
One more again.
We all appreciate you, Jack.
I had time there as I was, as I
was thinking about everything at
the at the cemetery yesterday, I
already I already picked out
Palmer's plot.
So wow, that's a good spot over.
Here I want to be cremated,
though I want a.
Spot for Mike Palmer.
He says he wishes to be
cremated, so he had.
A.
He had a cut light.
That'll that'll that'll go on
his, that'll go on his.
Head to go on my head zone he
had a cut light.
All right, brother, I'll talk to
you man.
Thanks.
We love you, love you brother.
Love you too brother.
Be easy man.
What a nice call.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to
go that way, but yes, you.
Don't get that on other shows.
No, no, no, no.
Yeah, so.
Well, we know good guys, so
that's what happens on our show.
You know what, dude?
I I believe that you attract you
attract good people if you're a
good person, you know, and the
bad ones kind of weed themselves
out or you know what I mean?
Like it just happens.
So Espinos has got a great group
of squad man, They're great,
great.
Big guys, you know, I get random
calls from the salespeople with
tips on shops.
Like hey, I was in the shop and
they asked me what else they
should carry and I said you.
So here's their phone number.
Yeah, right.
Good people.
That's the only company that I
get that from.
Right.
You know what's funny about that
company?
When I first started, you know,
going around with you and, and
doing all the cigar stuff, when
I first met all of them, I
literally thought they were all
like related, like brothers,
cousins, really.
Yeah, that's too fun to do.
Then I found out that there's
only like 2 of them, the son and
the the dad, right?
As a girl's nieces or.
Something probably.
I know the the Espinoza family's
huge, yeah.
Yeah, I've never met like the
office people, but just like the
reps and the guys that we see go
around the like, PCA and stuff.
I thought they were all even
Jack.
Like I thought Jack was related
to him.
It's kind of funny.
Yeah, his.
Name's Terano.
Yeah, you could have.
Terano Spinoza.
They all have to have the same
last name.
Yes, yes, that's correct.
That's how you know you're
related.
All right.
Well, I mean, we're 22 minutes
in, we haven't even touched the
show, so I guess it's going to
be a good one.
Junk and we got some good stuff
taking a day off.
Let the news pile up a little
bit, all right.
And today's show we have some
BAFTA updates.
Oh God.
Utah has a problem with the
elderly.
Another Level 1 food recall from
a potato company and in cigars
we got a late to the show cigar,
2 new cigars and then a what's
the score?
Hey, but first Mikey, I hear
you've got some new chapter pod
swap.
Yes indeed.
Let me light my.
I just ran out of fuel.
Let me light my.
Oh God.
I knew that was going to.
Happen and the best part of any
show?
What are the comments?
Let me light my cigar with my
new triple torch Smoke and
Subscribe available on Chapter
pod.com.
I only made like 10 of those two
styles but I also have this one,
the single flame smoke and
subscribe.
Oh trusty, there it is.
This is a great This is a great
lighter.

Yeah, people are pouring their
hearts out to us.
That's great.
I love that.
Yeah.
Bring it on.
You know, bring it on.
I'm.
Actually starting to get some
messages.

Yeah, that's great.
So real smoke Pod commented this

They watched the replays and
still love this episode.
He seems like a fun person to
talk to.
Heart goes out to him and his
family right now.
Thanks for the replay, which was
Eric Espinoza's.
Yeah.
We thank you.
We, we did that.
We, you posted that back up.
Team Money says that the cartel
attacked the US.
There would be so much heat on
them.
It would be the worst thing they
ever did.
There are massive contingency
plans in place for this exact
situation, Stephen Wells said.
I don't know why Palmer is
complaining about extra work.
He doesn't sleep.
So there should be plenty of
time to check the boxes for what
Phil said.
We're going.
To be checking a lot of boxes
today show.
Oh, it's all just because of
Phil.
Not today.
Epicurean Smoke says the new ads
make the show even more
entertaining, especially if
you're just listening to the
show in the background.
One second we're hearing
Palmer's about this diaper
slide, and the next it's about
life insurance and bathroom
remodeling.
And I don't know if I did this
one, TX Southpaw says.
Rumor has it when Mikey tells
Phil that he can't have a free
cigar when working on the
podcast, he puts two in the old
prison pocket, one for himself
and the second is used to bribe
guests for future podcast
appearances.
No, you have not.
So, so thanks so much for your
comments.
If you want to hear the your
comment on our show, there's a
good chance that we'll read it
off.
Unless you're very hurtful
towards me, then I won't read
it.
I'll read those.
Oh.
Yeah, Palmer will read those
ones.
No, no, no.
If they're hurtful, if you say
something bad about him, I'll
make sure I get.
It that will not happen, so
yeah.
All right, now with the news.
Did I say like and subscribe?
Yes, you did.

You get stuff here you don't get
anywhere else.
No, that's true.
Espinoza just uses as a way to
thank people for showing up for
the funeral and.
Stuff Espinoza.
Just used us the Espinoza.
Group Jack, Toronto.
Jack was their spokesman, but
yes.
Yeah, of course, of course, man.
That's we're all.
No, I mean, I, I not, not bad,
but I mean, you know, he's not
calling.
Yeah.
And that's why we are the number
one show for industry insiders
there.
You go take that cigar, guys.
Ha ha ha, you are gone.
Yours Joe, go back to more of
your magic AI tricks.
Yeah, poof.
We got some BAFTA updates.
Apparently the man with the
Tourette's had had other run
insurance with the press.
Yes, Oh my God, this is great.
When he met the Queen a few
years back he went to shake her
hand and yelled F the Queen.
Oh boy.
But he said the word.
Why do Why do they allow this
guy to go anywhere with?
I don't understand.
High-ranking people.
And then at another event, he
met a man who had cancer and he
yelled, you're going to die.
Oh, did he die?
Oh.
I don't know.
They didn't see what happened so
well, at least he's learned now.
So after he made the outburst at
the BAFTA wards, he took himself
out of the event he left.
Of he's got to be embarrassed,
right?
Yeah, or scared or.
Scared I.
Don't think he's scared.
I, you know, I, I got to believe
that there's some grace here.
We with this guy, whether he
should have it or not, you know,
I think that there, you know, I
can't imagine somebody being
outraged to hurting a person
with a disability, you know?
Wow.
Is it a disability?
Here we go.
Jamie Foxx.
Oh no.
Actor.
Celebrity.
He says he's faking it.
It's just another white man, the
one to say the N word.
Oh boy.
I mean, maybe.
I don't know, yeah.
Like, I don't know the guy, so I
can't, I can't stand behind him
and say, yes, you know, you
know, you're completely wrong or
yes, you're completely right.
I'm just watching from a bird's
eye view like everybody else.
You know who Baylin is.
Baylin's the young lady who has
the reality show who has the
Tourette syndrome.
Oh, we started to watch.
That yeah, we started to do it
and it gets kind.
Of and it's very redundant.
And then it's it felt kind of
like staged, like the show.
Some of the things, yeah.
Like, they put her in situations
because they know she's going to
do stuff.
Yeah.
And like, so anyway, she
released a big announcement
saying, trying to explain the
man's condition and that
Tourette's goes for the worst
thing that you could possibly
say at that situation.
And that's what it yells out,
that you have no control at all.
OK.
So it's probably legit.
I hate cheese.
Nothing like that, huh?
Just straight to the blackboard.
You have Google News updates.
When it happened they released a
statement.
Something new effect of the
man's name screams the N if they
use the N word at the BAFTA
awards and they've put up the
picture of the two black actors.
Michael B Jordan Michael B
Jordan, the other good actor
that's so good we don't.
Remember.
So good.
Yeah, you recognize his face,
but you can't.
And you know what, when I when
I, when I was driving home thing
like what other movies I see him
in, it was gone in 60 seconds
and he was.
You know, I was just about to
say he was a coffin gone.
He was really good in that
movie.
He.
Was a good that movie.
Yeah.
I mean, whatever this is just
this is, we're going to be
moving on from this soon.
Yeah, this, this now this is
well, Michael, Jamie Foxx was
the reason it came back out
again, because he's thinks the
guy did it on.
Purpose.
I mean, look, he's entitled to
think whatever he wants to
think.
Sure, just don't hurt the guy it
seems like.
Well, I mean, nobody's beating
him up or anything, but I mean,
I'm sure the guy feels bad
enough.
Yeah, he left.
I got to go.
What did I just?
Do man, I've never said that
before.
This is really getting bad.
Like tape your mouth shut or
something, you know?
You just RIP it open, I mean.
Like, like to say something.
I'm like, no, you know, he just
put the tape on his mouth and
they they zoom in on him.
The audience, he's like this.
He's a tape face from America's
Got Talent.
Oh yeah.
So could you imagine what this
guy's life's like?
Was he just like screaming stuff
out of that all got?
To be horrible because.
It's going to be horrible, yeah.
Controlling it all because
you're going to say something
that a person could hurt you,
right?
Right.
Like no, we don't want this.
Well, could you, I mean, that
Baylin show they showed her
boyfriend all the time.
Can you imagine?
I mean, I on the show she I hate
you, right?
I mean.
I mean.
Is that her true feelings or is
that just right?
Exactly.
I mean, how do you know what one
it is?
You know, right?
Well, that's when you no, no,
we're talking.
You know, and she always, what
was that thing she always shows
you have a tiny weenie.
Right, little baby.
Little baby Weiner.
Check box 1A.
Weenie's fine.
He said ER, he said the hard R
at the other.
I said Weiner.
You say Weiner.
It's OK.
It's not one of the the
buzzwords.
Now you click it, it says still
say for ads.
Still say for ads.
Still say what?
Still say for ads.
So it's gone back and it's
monetized every show we've ever
done.
Yeah, some of them are yellow,
some are green.
I don't know what the
difference.
Yellows.
Caution.
Yeah, yellows.
Caution.
We must have hit some of the
boxes on those.
Check the box on that one.
All right, so you tell us.
Having a problem with the
elderly.
Unlicensed staff have been
having consensual sex with the
nursing home resident.
Dude, consensual or
unconsensual?
Consensual.
So if you're a doctor or a
nurse, you're somebody who's
registered you or you cannot.
But if you're like a nurse's
aide, if you're one of the
cleaners, if you're, you're the
guy that runs around and
distributes books.
But it's consensual.
It's consensual.
We're sure that it's consensual.
There's no rules about it, but
they're it's leaving Utah
officials in a dilemma because
they don't want it happening.
Why?
Because the juice box they.
Don't want to walk in and find,
you know, 18 year old mop bucket
boy pop and grandma.
Are they on the clock?
Yes.
They are confirmed on the clock.
They're on the clock.
Well, then that's why why would
they be hanging out?
It's not like, you know, hey,
I'll come back after 5.
You know how you.
Fix this no.
You know how you fix this?
How do you fix it?
You make a job.
Make a job.
Yeah, there's just one guy that
goes around and if they want to,
you know, do their thing.
I don't think it works that way.
I think that so and so was
attracted to the other person
and then this thing happens.
Well, maybe, yeah.
Like a guy that's like Jason
Momoa or something.
He runs around the the elderly
house.
So there's an 18 year old high
school kid working at the
nursing home, reportedly began
having sex with multiple
residents and encouraged his
friends to apply for jobs at the
home.
You're not going to believe
this.
You're.
Not going to believe this.
The grandma is pretty good so
they asked him was he attracted
to the lady and he goes no.
But she asked me and I thought
why not she?
Didn't even ask for the extra
large.
I don't see what the problem is
here, as long as it's not on the
job.
I don't know.
I mean, you could be a volunteer
or something, I don't know.
Well, they don't like it.
The people that run the
facility.
Do you want to come visit your
grandma in the home and find,
you know, and there's a mop
bucket outside and the broom is,
you know, leaning against the
door.
You open the door and he's in
there banging her in her
wheelchair.
Pop pop, pop, pop.
Maybe he's just jealous.
Maybe they're all jealous.
Is she happy?
I don't know.
If she's happy, if she's like,
hey, I'm down with this.
I imagine some people will be
upset.
If I'm going to go out, this is
how I'm going out.
Dude, I mean, what are we doing?
Like, Like she's still living a
little bit.
Yeah.
And a girl.
They walked in on a physical
therapy aide attempting to have
sex with an 80 year old woman
who had been reported missing.
OK.
She wasn't.
She wasn't in her.
Room.
Was it Samantha Guthrie?
No, Was it?
Samantha Guthrie.
She wandered off.
Sorry.
Well, or he took her somewhere.
Hey, let's go somewhere quiet,
like this room closet, right?
Nothing.
Who knows?
I don't know like how do you
regulate the like I?
Don't know with I, I don't have
a problem with it either.
Technically, I mean.
Now look if, if, if there's
unconsensual, if there's if.
The old lady is like no, no.
Let's finish.
Yeah, if we're taking advantage
of people with like Alzheimer's
and all.
Of the well, that that's part of
the dilemma.
I mean, if they have Alzheimer,
maybe they think you're, you
know, Johnny, her husband, but
you're not, you know.
OK, I can see where that gets a
little murky, but you know.
You know, I'm going to go with
Palmer on this.
He's the one closest to this
situation soon, so maybe this is
something fun for these type of
people.
Maybe I mean you.
Know like, what's as long as
everybody's, everybody's OK,
Everybody's having a good time.
No one's being taken advantage
of.
Well, the 18 year old's
definitely being taken advantage
of.
Right, 18 year old.
He's OK with it.
Is it?
Is she being taken advantage of?
I mean there's a female with
male situation too where a 18
year old girl was doing an old
man, which is just kind of
weird.
I don't know why that's weirder,
but it seems weirder.
It does.
Please be 18 you guys all seen.
If the woman, you know, if the
older lady thinks it's her
husband who's already passed and
it's not, I don't know.
That's, like I said, that's a
little murky.
You think she's thinking it's
her old husband.
She could, I mean the guy.
Maybe the guy looks like the 18
year old version of her husband
back in high school.
It's.
It's very vanilla Sky.
Do you remember that movie with
Tom Cruise?
I never saw it but I I know the
movie.
He got to live over in his good
moments forever.
Oh, is that what it was?
Yeah.
Wasn't Cameron, was Cameron
Diaz?
She might have been.
She's very vanilla.
Skyish.
I guess this is whatever this
kind of tossed up in the.
Air you know what?
Good for them.
Whatever, I guess.
When?
They find out, they fire the
employee.
They fired him.
They fired the boy.
Yeah.
You're not allowed to bang the
the.
Does he still come around?
No, he's not getting paid
anymore.
OK, but like you know.
I mean, he said he didn't, you
know, he wasn't attracted to
her.
But she asked and he could do
it, so he did.
It maybe he felt like, you know,
I'm going to continue my civic
duty here and I'm going to check
back in.
I'm going to sign in as a guest.
This is my volunteer now.
Right.
Volunteer now.
Volunteer hours.
He took the whole introductory
to the job thing really
seriously.
Like, hey, Tom, when you're in
these rooms and they ask for
something, make sure you take
care of them, OK?
You got it.
All right, you got it.
No matter what they ask for, you
take care of.
It right?
Anything.
Anything I need to qualify the
anything?
Bro I love how he dropped the
broom and just struck the show.
I was like, all right.
OK, here we go.
Granny's going to give me a
minute.
Granny's going to be so upset,
the kids gone.
Yeah.
He loves me.
Bring it back.
She's not going to eat anymore.
I mean, you know, people were
dying to get into that place
that you know.
That's what they were talking
about.
Or just on the radio show.
They're like the lineup for.
This place is like crazy.
Yeah, I too want to stay here.
Right, I want to move in over
there.
Yeah, that sounds great.
Verbally works.
We should follow this up and see
this kid gets a job anywhere.
Else.
Well, that's, that's just it.
They're they're going to other
facilities.
So you get fired at the, you
know, Mayfair Farms retirement
home and then you show up over
at the Booty Booty.
Booty Booty.
I don't know.
I just think of another name.
Yeah, yeah.
They go to work in another
retirement home and then they
just start all over again.
So they want to make some type
of statewide like list.
Like Billy's known to bang old
ladies, Digital don't hire.
Well, you know, listen, it's not
illegal.
Oh, look, taking care of the
elderly is very important.
It is.
And I'm not, I'm not saying in
that level, right?
I'm just saying so you know, you
want to make sure that they're
at the end of their life and
they're being cared for.
Yeah, these are long term
facilities.
It's not like it's, you know.
Yeah.
And that's the, I mean, all of
it sounds so hard, so difficult.
OK, let's not talk about this.
The last thing you said.
I don't know why, I'm just
having problems over here.
You always do death.
He doesn't like death.
That's not what I was talking
about.
It's hard.
Oh, all of it's so hard.
All of it's so hard.
Yeah, and all of a sudden he
can't.
Continue.
Yeah, we got to move on.
No, he's running.
He can get a job.
No, let's move on from this
because.
He's like a little teenager,
like a little 13 year old boy or
something, so.
He's.
That's discovered his beep beep
for the first time ever.
You ever seen that meme where
the guy was like oh man I can't
believe I misspelled grandfather
clock on Google.
No, but I got it, no.
But here comes the sirens.
You're coming.
Right.
Oh God, it's illegal in Florida.
Oh, they're calling me.
And they're calling.
Sorry, your allegations have
been approved.
Leave your watch upstairs moving
forward.
How, how, how?
We just do that.
Can you?
Just I need it.
In case you don't.
Yeah, in case my wife texts me.
Not for one hour, she's.
His wife texts her.
She's pregnant.
She's pregnant to labor.
Yeah.
She she'll understand.
She'll understand.
If you are not if the.
Phone rings right away, you pick
it up no matter what we're
talking about, but.
Hello, we're podcasting.
We got a pregnant wife and he
can't.
To be fair, we have two totally
different relationships.
Well, right, but his wife's
having a baby.
Way more invested with my wife
than he is with his OH.
Honey, call anytime you want.
I'll pick it up.
I already saw my wife right
before we're doing the show.
Don't call.
No, she calls like she did the
one time when mom was in the
hospital.
Yeah.
All right, we got another level
1 food recall.
Death One.
Another level 1.
We're only covering level ones
now.
There's too many of them.
We skipped peanut butter last
week.
Everybody wanted me to talk
about peanut butter, but we
skipped.
It was not a level.
One, it wasn't Level 1, no.
It's a life threatening listeria
risk.
From where's the name of the
company?
The Oregon Potato Company?
Oh boy.
You want to know what's being
recalled?
Yes, Frozen blueberries.
No.
Yes.
What?
Do you eat frozen blueberries?
You do.
Could it be the fact that the
potato company sold the
blueberries?
Could that be the problem?
Maybe.
They have listeria or a
possibility of listeria.
So it's a family owned business
in Salem specializing in frozen
and dehydrated potatoes,
vegetables and fruits.
They have flagged 55,689 lbs of
individually quick frozen
blueberries.
The notice was made on February
12th.
Regulators on Tuesday upgraded
it to a class one recall.
Officials warning the exposure
to potential Listeria
monocytogenin sounds serious.
Could cause serious adverse
health consequences and death.
It could cause death, could
cause death.
Wow.
So the product was distributed
across several U.S. states,
Michigan, Oregon, Washington and
Wisconsin.
We're OK here in Florida, no.
Blueberries.
I was going to bring you some
blueberries tomorrow called the
show, but I guess that's out.
Oh, and through Canada.
So Mctavish.
No blueberries.
Well, by the time he sees this,
it'll eight months away now.
So do you think people pay
attention to these?
I mean, if we didn't talk about
this, I wouldn't know the
blueberries where we go.
OK.
But they're not in this area.
No, no.
But still, even if they were, we
wouldn't know, right?
I mean, it's it's because I look
at Google Trends, this comes up
as one of the top stories.
So you feel like you're doing a
public service is what you're.
Talking about Yeah, but you
think people like people in
these states that just heard our
give this message that they're
going, oh, blueberries goes.
I don't know if the potato
company made these.
I'm throwing them away.
I think some people will do you,
yeah.
I'm sure they put it on the
local news.
Some people are as paranoid as
you are.
I'm not paranoid.
I mean like the the peanut
butter thing.
I ate a lot of peanut butter.
I didn't even look see what the
brand was.
I don't care and it had plastic
in it or something.
I mean, OK.
So any of these other recalls we
did, some of them were in
Florida.
Did you go home and look and go?
Do I have the hamburger meat
that's got?
Something in it.
That's what I mean.
No, when cat it was Botulism.
I think I had in.
The hamburger.
That was serious.
And that just gives you the just
give you the poops.
I ate the same food all the
time.
Right.
So just don't mess up my Costco
chicken and we'll be good to go.
Oh, Costco chicken's on recall.
I'll figure it out.
I'm sure I'll eat it still.
Yeah, and they're burning down
the building right now as we
speak.
They better not be.
We've already lost 2.
And when I was doing this story
last night, I opened a yogurt in
the fridge that had gone back
and forth a couple times in
Adrian's lunch box.
I was like, it still looks OK.
You think that's a man's
perspective?
Because that's how I feel.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, you know, I stirred it
up a little and, you know, yeah.
She was like, I don't know, I'm
not eating that anymore.
Well, you put it back in the
fridge, so.
You didn't throw it out.
You didn't throw it out.
So like, you know, I brought my
chicken on the car ride
yesterday.
It was already cooked and I
didn't eat it because we stopped
to eat.
I was with Matt Booth, by the
way.
Phil, how jealous are?
You.
Oh, is Matt Booth there like
yesterday?
Yeah, I picked him up and
dropped him off.
So you know where he was
sleeping.
I know exactly where he was
sleeping and like, you know, she
went through my bag.
She goes, oh, you didn't eat
this.
Yeah, I'll eat it today.
She's like, no, you won't.
I'm like.
Why would Adrian does that too?
I'll pull some out of the
fridge.
She goes, oh, that's been in
there for like 3 days.
I'm like, that's three days.
Yeah, I mean, it was in the car.
It was not like it's sat and
heated up and like, you know.
Still, it's cooked.
Yeah, not like it was raw.
Right, right.
You're going to heat it up
before you eat it.
Yeah, so I mean, I lost that
battle.
I have to choose my battles as
man that's married.
She threw it away anyway.
Of course I let her.
I was like, OK.
I'll still sneak a couple of
bites and then throw it away.
I'm not dying.
So whatever, what are you going
to do?
What else was there?
Wait, did Greg wear his his
suit?
He did.
He has the one suit.
He wears the court and.
Funeral he did.
There's a little snug on him.
With the pointy shoes.
I didn't.
I didn't look at the shoes, but
Greg was there.
Yeah, no.
No, I know Greg went.
I was just curious if you wore
his jail suit?
No, we we looked appropriate.
And you wore your black suit?
Yeah.
What did Man Booth have on?
He had this lovely black
sweater, like 1/4 zip or button
up.
I mean, if he was travelling he
might not have had, you know.
Clothes.
He looks good.
He looks good.
You know, I told him that we
look better.
Sure.
You know, like, huh.
Here we are, and here.
We, I love Matt, dude, he's such
a good guy.
You know, we had a good time
driving.
Like it's just, it's
entertaining when you, when you
get to hang out.
And I don't know, like I got a
lot of good friends in this
industry, man, really do so and
he's one of them.
So yeah, we had a good time.
Feel bad about not going.
You should.
Thank you.
You should because, yeah, never
mind.
You should.
I did too, but I had to stay
home.
You, not so much.
Wow.
You thought about it, You were
going to do it.
Yeah, I was going to, but Tia
didn't get home till like 10:00
last night from Boca.
If you knew Matt Booth was in
the car, would you have made it
work?
No, there was no way to make it.
Trust me, I was going to try to
make it work, but it just there
was no cards to play.
I feel like you would have
showed up like, oh, I'm coming.
No, there was.
I remember both my pops couldn't
take off work, my mom couldn't
take off.
It's just not the right time.
Yeah, it all happens for a
reason, dude.
You know, I know I play, I kid,
and I make fun of things, but
it's all good.
No, I know.
OK.
You have a video no?
Thank God we don't need one.
We're 46 minutes already.
Oh yeah.
So you don't have anything you
want to talk about now we're in
the middle of the show.
No, there's.
Nothing.
Anybody want to call I?
Already called them, nobody
else.
No.
Mabu, you want to call somebody?
Mabu, you want to call Matt?
No, you don't have to call Matt.
Is he close by?
Do you want?
To call Skip?
No, he yelled at about
something.
No, he was yelling at us the
other day.
Was he all right?
Cigar News.
It's almost March 2026.
Congratulations, Cle.
They're releasing their
anniversary TAA 2025 cigar.
TAA.
The DAA 2025 cigar last to the
to the shop here.
The new TAA cigar for 2025 is
heading to stores this week.
The Cle 25th Anniversary TAA is
shipping.
It's a 6 by 54 Toro version of
the company's Cle 25th
Anniversary Blend.
However, this one is round.
It's a round one it.
Is a round one.
This one is round.
Where the regular ones are.
Square.
This one is square and this one
is round.
So they introduced this cigar in
2020, and apparently they come
out with it every year.
And to commemorate Christian
heroes, 25 years in, the cigar
business is made entirely of
Honduran tobacco.
Do you think this is kind of
like, well, we got to make it TA
just you know what, you got the
blend.
Let's go ahead.
You know what?
Let's save time.
Don't put it in the.
Don't put it in the molds.
Don't put in the box, press
around.
Well, it's got to be.
It's totally different at that
point as far as the amount of
tobacco that's in the cigar.
Maybe they went, hey, we put too
much tobacco, went OK, then
don't, don't.
Just make them round, we'll make
them TAA.
We'll give it to the TAA people.
So all the TA guys about this
last year are like.
Oh look, it's coming.
Why would you?
If that were the case, it
wouldn't take you this long to
make it.
You would think you.
Know what I mean?
So it wasn't a mistake, but
maybe it was just a little.
Maybe they're waiting to see how
many they sold.
Maybe.
Now we got to buy the tobacco,
we got to roll.
Them they Cle, they have the we.
Got to put it in these weird
boxes we just made look like
Mardi Gras boxes, do they?
Yes.
OK.
Mardi Gras is over, isn't?
It.
Yeah, I think it is.
Or is it going on I?
Don't know.
I know that TA.
Is over, We know that.
I know what's going on
universal.
I need to do that.
All right, so moving on.
Yes, Punch Rare Corojo 25th
anniversary shipping next week,
another anniversary cigar.
Are we getting that?
I don't think so.
Each springs do you want me to
do you?
Want the punch?
Rare Corojo.
No, not me personally.
I didn't think so.
I mean I I could.
Scandinavian Tobacco was putting
out a bunch of cigars so they
must have got the cease and
desist lifted or whatever it
was.
That's a totally different
company.
Yeah, you're talking about
they're.
Too confused.
Yeah, it's that's a totally
different company.
I'm confused.
No, they had a different season
decision on them.
Oh yeah, yeah.
What was Arizona?
A Swiss guy made hot chocolate
the wrong way.
Yeah, oh, the Swiss Miss.
The Swiss Miss He got in trouble
with Swiss Miss.
So and that that's linked to
scanning into tobacco group,
right?
It was like a shell corporation
of Swiss Miss exactly Allegedly,
allegedly.
And then what he did, he
actually what he did was he took
some of the, he got investors
and he put into.
Crypto, he said.
The sugar free It wasn't sugar
free.
Did you see that that Delgado
guy got busted for alleged money
laundering on something?
I Delgado guy here in Orlando.
Yeah, yes, yes, for Bitcoin and
something else.
There's a picture where he's
holding up a Goliath's cigar.
Oh, is he holding a cigar in
the?
Picture I wonder who did the
private label?
He looked fun.
I mean, he looked.
Fun.
Who did that cigar?
Did you get paid?
I want to know.
Give me the details.
STG changed the cigar by making
it a rare Coro, a regular
production line.
Ah, tricky tricky.
So it's not that rare.
Not that rare anymore.
So it's regular Coroho.
Yes, companies once again
shaking things up The release is
the punch rare Coro 25th
anniversary, which celebrates
the 25th anniversary Well, that
works out well for.
Them doesn't seem like they're
shaking much up.
No, yeah, it's notably different
because we'll be offered as a
single vitola and made it the
JRE Tobacco Factory, the punch
rare Coroho.
It's a 6 by 54 Toro made
entirely.
They have Honduran tobacco,
tobacco.
How could they make it?
Entirely with Honduran tobacco,
the other guys doing it entirely
on during tobacco.
Who is Cle?
They're the same factory I
think.
It says JRE not.
CEO probably the same cigar.
Like, yeah, but they're like,
you know?
See you wonder where I get
confused They're.
Kind of together, all that they
have a lot of tobacco it's.
Probably the same cigar.
It's a different label.
That's Aladino, right, Jerry?
Jerry yes.
Yeah, they're brothers, Aroha.
I don't.
I don't.
I stop.
Fabrica de bureaus al Dino Las
Lomas Yamastrand the factory
that.
Makes that's an.
H it's not Ayi.
Thought it was AY no.
Does your does your ages look
like Y?
You might have to go to that
home where they're.
Doing that?
No, it's AJ.
Technically, they're brain
surging back there.
You be quiet.
Yeah, Dang, Bong, you're.
Scared to ask?
Move on.
Not.
The first two time the companies
has worked together, in
September 2024, the two created
the El Rey de Mundo, King of the
World Mom.
El Rey de Mundo, That's a great
cigar.
Is it?
Yeah, you don't like it?
That's the one of the little
papers upstairs the.
One that's wrapped in the
tissue.
Yeah, comes with tissue.
Yeah, the.
Tissue.
So you go, you sneeze, you know
you're not.
Yeah.
All right.
Now we have another new cigar,
Chuggy Chuggy.
You better not have flipped to
me.
Did you flip to me?
I accidentally did because he
did chuggy chuggy and I it was
just natural for my finger to do
it.
Having a drink, drink.
American made Cohiba series M
reserve a Plata.
Yeah, what?
American made Cohiba series M
reserve a Plata what?
Color is that yeah, I.
Hope you asked us the price on
this one because it sounds
expensive.
Shipping next month.
There's another L Titan de
Bronze made Cohiba.
Scandinavian Tobacco Group,
which sells the Cohiba brand in
the US, has announced the new
Cohiba series M Reserve, a
Plata, a 652 Toro that uses the
Mexican San Andreas wrapper over
a binder from Esta Lee Nicaragua
and four fillers from the
Dominican Bilotto, Cubano Vizo
and Lajero from Halapa.
I don't see that makes sense now
that the other one is Hamstrand.
Right there you go.
Not Jalapa.
Not Jalapa.
From Jalapa, He's from the.
Jalapa Viso and herald from the
Jalapa, Nicaragua region and a
leaf from Estele, Nicaragua.
Most non Cuban Cohibas are made
in the Dominican Republic.
Not anymore.
Well.
This one's American with all the
other tobaccos from.
Right.
Why is it American?
There's no American Tobacco.
There, Yes, there is.
So there is American.
Tobacco.
No, no, no.
The list.
They made it in America.
I brought all the tobacco from
the other.
Country Titan Day Bronze is
Miami.
Oh, Miami baby.
Act like you're in this industry
for the love of God.
Eat cigars and MSRP hub.
How?
How much over there you?
For the for which one he said
two different.
Cigars.
No he's not.
No one cigar.
It's the Cohiba Plata, OH.
Had a lot of description.
Reserva Plata made in America
with tobaccos from and Mexico.
Let's go 35.
That's.
A good price 45.
You went the wrong way.
Yes. 2999 my picture on it says
you went the wrong way.
You went the wrong way.
That was a good one.
New Dirt The production is
limited to 3000 boxes of 10
cigars.
You went to McDonald's.
McDonald's.
The following shows of Eva.
No, it doesn't show.
I deleted the picture all right,
and there's a long quote from
someone.
OK, Justin Andrews.
I like that you put that in
there like you know what,
stupid.
Right.
Just putting it in there for
your teleprompter doesn't even
make sense.
Well if we had longer time I
would have read it, but we're
we're overtime so I'm cutting
things out.
I just wish you didn't read it
at all, whether we need it or
not.
Mardo's Cigars has an exclusive
cigar, right?
Yes.
What is it?
The Mr. Sinestro Jury of 6 is a
store exclusive.
I saw him do a video yesterday.
Did you?
Yes.
So definitely.
They released a press release to
half Wheel.
That's good.
Is this Sinestro guys?
Yes, and our friend over Mardo
cigars.
I like it because it's shaped.
It's round like a barrel for not
a barrel but the the inside of a
revolver.
That's how big the cigar is.
No, no, each cigar is a bullet
in the revolver.
Oh, that's the box the boxes
are.
Boxes round, you know it sits
but but it's cut like it's the
inside of a the.
Inside of a row.
Very fancy.
Yeah, it is fancy.
And then each cigar has a little
thing and you pop it out.
The canvas are designed to
replicate the cylinder of a
revolver.
There you go, there it is. 12
cigars is just your retail price
of just for all 12.
You can only buy it at one time.
You have to buy.
You can't buy the singles.
There's 12 and A and a six
shooter.
I don't know 12 and a 12
shooter.
What was the size of the cigar?
Shooter.
It's a 12 shooter.
Is there a revolver with a 12
shooter?
No, but I like this number
better apparently.
Is what was the size of the
cigar?
6 by 50.
Toro.
Toro. 180 he's.
Pretty close.
Will I go the right way?
Question.
I'm going to say 150.
You went the right way.
Yeah, $150.00 a hundred.
And $50.00 for 12 cigars.
New day over. 1250 per cigar.
While the size and package are
new, the blend remains the same.
So we just put it in a fancy
box, people.
Wait, wait, wait, did you say 12
cigars or did you say 6 cigars?
I.
Said 12.
So how are they 1250 A cigar?
I don't know what it says it
works out to 150 which works out
to 1250 per cigar.
No OK, no tax, no nothing.
Taxes up to individual states.
Yeah.
No tariffs, no nothing.
I like that he can't do math.
How's that even work?
12:50.
Whatever.
It's just this is Rick.
Go on, move, move on.
In this really cool box, put
something in and we already
made.
Now I just want you to know that
I'm 2 for two where people have
looked at me on this episode and
told me that I'm completely
wrong.
No, no, no.
You missed the last one.
I got that one.
No, no, You told me that 1250
per 12 cigars doesn't work.
Yeah, it seems too cheap.
And then he started to think
about it and I'm like, damn it.
Seems too cheap.
Surrounded by people.
Tell me I'm an idiot.
Meanwhile, back at the farm,
were you going to say?
Are you scrolling through every
single interview?
No, Yes, I have all these
interviews.
No, but it's time for the
industry's favorite game.
What's the score?
Today's Cigar, May 2nd, 2011.
Charlie Minato.
Altidus USA Cigars, Dominican
Republic reviews The Monte
Cristo 75th anniversary.
Lancero.
Go ahead. 2 for tour.
I'm going to go 87 zero for, 0
for.
For Monte Cristo.
Yeah.
Go 82.
Monte Cristo 75th anniversary,
Lancero.
It's a 7 1/2 by 40 rappers
Ecuadorian Habano binder,
Nicaraguan filler, Honduran and
Nicaraguan country, Dominican
Republic factory table Calera de
Garcia MSRP $15 source B and
M1750 with taxes Is supposed to
be an older one time inhumidor
10 months cut.
A Wolf V.
Cutter light, I am Corona,
double Corona smoking time one
hour and 40 minutes.
This is a different approach.
2000 and an older one.
Yeah, 87. 82.
Blue #1 The Ecuadorian Habano
wrapper had a medium dark color
with a nice Sheen, and the cigar
initially delivered appealing
notes of walnut, cocoa, oh cocoa
bean, hay and mild leather,
creating a pleasant start with
balanced medium range flavor.
Are you looking it up?
80s No 87.
I could care less if I lost
every single one from now until
Christmas.
I would still be dominating you.
So no, I'm not looking it up,
nor do I care. 82.
Clue #2 construction showed
moments of precision.
The cigar produced a firm ash
that occasionally reached 2
inches and burned with near
machine like accuracy,
reflecting solid rolling
craftsmanship despite other
issues. 85. 82.
He's angry hitting that button.
Sorry, hear that Angry button
flipping the.
Biggest drawback was persistent
draw problems and harshness,
tight airflow, tar buildup
requiring repeated use of draw
tools.
Three lights and largely 1
dimensional sweet tobacco
profile with lingering harsh
pepper that never truly.
Evolved.
It's no good.
And no good. 82. 80.
After smoking this, oh final
thought, sorry, after smoking
the cigar, I'm only left to
wonder if the people responsible
for choosing the blends, not
just the blender at all, to just
smoke other cigars.
I know that individuals like
Pete Johnson of Tetua.
Hey Dion, how do you say Dion's
last name?
Dion of Illusion.
Is it with AJ or Aya?
G John Huber of Crown Heads,
Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate,
and Jose Blanco of LA Aurora,
amongst many others, all smoke
cigars other than those they
create because they enjoy a good
cigar.
Yet examples like this make me
wonder if this is true with
those at Altitus.
When comparing this to other
Monte Cristos made by Altitus, I
guess the flavor is a bit more
mature, although I'm unconvinced
this is any better when you
compare this to other cigars.
Truth be told, this is pretty
bad.
And that's before the $15 price
tag 2011.
Right.
Which, quite frankly, makes this
nothing short of an abomination.
Within today's cigar market is
an.
Abomination.
But I try to find a singularly
redeeming quality.
I fail.
I tried, but I failed to see how
this cigar can seem appropriate
in today's market. 76. 75 damn
it I.
Didn't think you'd go lower. 56
OH.
Wow, touching.
You went to grab it when I saw
this girl, you went the right
way.
Yes.
I should have went lower.
It's a new dirt.
OH.
My goodness.
So I bought liquid cold medicine
for the trip.
Yeah, because it works faster
than pills.
So then when I left, I forgot to
take it before I started driving
right?
So I had to chug it from the
bottle.
Oh, nice.
Very good.
You can't pour it into the
little cup while you're driving.
He's going to spill it all of a
sudden in my new car.
So yeah.
So I I figured one gulp was
about a cup or an ounce,
whatever.
Just winged it.
I just chugged it.
Were you drowsy at the event?
No, no, it's non drowsy daytime
medicine.
So like, I took it when I left
covered the car, right, took it
before the event, after I
scarfed down a chicken wrap from
Burger King out in the parking
lot.
And then at the end, another
five hours later, I took it on
the way home so that I could
breathe.
I'm getting I got a little
addicted to the nose spray.
I cut it off.
You do seem a little more
chipper today than you have.
Been I feel better today than I
have Daytime is better than
night time nighttime.
My wife and I were both like I
hate you.
No, I hate you, Joe.
You started.
No, you.
That's not the cold.
When?
She flies out tomorrow so.
Oh, I understand.
Oh, so that's why you chipper
she's.
Concerned about?
Got it.
You're like, oh, how long has
she gone for?
Just for the weekend, kind of Go
see the grandchildren.
It's a birthday party.
Gotcha.
When you were sipping on the
scissor, were you listening to
Project Pat?
What?
I don't know what that is.
That's a that's a rapper, and
he's on sipping on the scissor.
No, but a member of the Wu Tang
Clan did die last night though.
What?
Yeah, two could have been big
enough.
First of all, Palmer, if you're
going to talk about this, you
better have factual evidence.
The guys called power what
they're they're not releasing.
Why is why I didn't cover it in
the show I had you're.
Correct.
Oh my God.
I read Oliver Power Grant dies
in 52.
Yeah, they're not saying how he
died. 52 seems kind of young.
That's very young.
Oh man, this is horrific.
I figured you guys would.
How are they going to finish a
new album?
Is your new album.
Yeah, they have.
They have.
They were working on one.
No, apparently it's over.
No cause of death was
immediately disclosed that.
Sucks, been a lot of deaths this
week.
It's going around.
Oh.
There's been 2 two major
suicides.
Really.
The guy from Revenge of the
Nerds.
What?
What are you doing to me right
now?
Which guy?
The main guy.
The the black haired one.
I guess they both have black
haired carroting.
David Carroting.
Yeah, the main guy.
Yeah, no way.
Yeah, he had bipolar disease in
it finally got him.
He shot himself.
I went to Google AI so it's not
going to show me the Robert
Carroting.
Robert Carroting.
I saw it and I thought that's a
Kung Fu guy.
David Carradine.
Yeah, David Carradine.
But I thought it was David
Carradine because the picture of
him doesn't look like him at
all.
He.
Committed suicide.
Yeah, he shot himself.
Man, so.
In that was such a good.
Movie.
I can't think of the guy's name.
Who's the guy that does the show
with Steve Martin though?
The little guy.
Martin Short.
Martin Short's daughter killed
herself.
Oh.
God, man, really?
Yeah, like the other day, we
don't usually color deaths on
the show.
It's just depressing.
Stuff, I mean, what are you
doing to me?
Yeah.
Sorry.
What a way to close this out,
Palmer So.
Much, Dude, Yeah.
Well, we started the show.
We figured we'd bring it full
circle.
Oh, OK, perfect.
Oh, very.
Yeah, accomplished.
OK, well, so.
I really liked having a a
midweek break.
And.
We should do it every week, no?
We can't do it, Palmer.
We're dedicated, educated,
motivated shows.
Up pushes a couple of buttons.
He's in and out in 40.
Five.
Well, you want to come do this?
I'll tell you what we can do if
you want.
We figure out.
We figure out a staple Co host
to run it on Wednesday with me
boots and you can be done.
Well, yeah, but that doesn't.
I mean, this is the easy part of
it.
What's the hard part The?
Hard part, yeah.
It doesn't negate the work, it's
the uploading and the show prep.
He's trying to offload one day
here.
I see what he's doing.
The uploading.
Yeah, upload the show you just.
Hit hit a button.
Yeah, but it still, it still
locks me to the computer for
three hours.
The button, I don't have to sit
there and watch.
But like the other night,
Spotify wasn't working, so I had
to sit there and watch it to see
where the problem was and then
fix the problem.
Normally I can just turn it on
and then I go find something
else to do or I work on show
prep.
You want Daddy to take care of
that too.
No, it was just, it was, it was
nice this week to have a night
where I didn't have to upload
anything because I uploaded
everything yesterday or the day
before.
What?
What?
I mean, what else are you doing?
Not saying that you're not doing
anything, exactly.
But well, I mean, spend time
with my wife, watch TV or
something, you know, instead of
leave here at 5:00-ish and then
go home, eat dinner and start
working on the show.
So just to be clear, after eight
years of hard work, we finally
have gotten monetized and you
want to take your foot off the
gas?
No, not so hard I.
Want he's reached it.
Shouldn't have spoiled me with
having the week off.
Whether you have to do something
on Wednesday?
Well, I'll let Eric.
I'll let Eric know.
Thanks for letting your dad die.
Oh my God, this is I didn't say
that.
Wow, what an ending here.
Are we still going?
It's an hour, 7 minutes.
Jesus, we only. 7 minutes over,
yeah.
Yeah.
Fine, whatever.
No, I'll figure out the
alternative.
No, no, no alternative.
It's OK, I'll put it together.
It's been episodes.
Wait, hold on, time out a SEC.
All we have to do is say
something to you and you figure
out an alternative.
Can we get sponsors?
No, I figured out an alternative
monetization and Patreon.
Anything else?
Can we get free swag?
You get free.
Swag.
You get free swag.
I know, I just wanted to see
what else could happen for
anything else.
Oh, can we have food here?
Sure.
No, you cannot eat in the
background of the show.
We already established you.
Can bring your Hardee's
cheeseburger here and you can.
Eat by Hardee's, by the way,
Hardee's around the road.
It's a great place, I know.
I know is.
That still open, They're closing
around the country.
They're better than Burger King,
McDonald's.
Don't.
I'll be sitting there at night
and we're watching TV or
something late at night and
something will happen and I'll
make some comments.
She goes, how do you know that?
And I go you wouldn't understand
the amount of shit.
You know what's so funny dude?
Has that happened to me too?
Like I was having this a similar
conversation with one of
Britney's friends and she's
like, how do you guys know all
this stuff?
I was like, Palmer tells me
everything.
Palmer's got me in the loop.
There's there's stuff that I
have to read that go, no, that's
no good.
But no.
I already know what it is, but I
know about it.
But I know about it now, dialed
in all right.
OK.
Well, all right, Episode 476.
Thank you very much.
We'll see you again tomorrow.
