ACHP Episode 541 Cigars, Hombre, Pooping

Episode Summary
Episode 541 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast opens with Mike Palmer recapping his guest appearance on another online cigar show, some good-natured trash talk about being blocked on a rival podcast's livestreams, and listener comments from the YouTube chat — including the announcement of a giveaway for a carbon fiber cutter and lighter set (comment on the episode to enter, U.S. shipping only). The crew also runs through the latest CH Pod swag orders and the ongoing saga of getting Apple Pay working through Stripe.
The middle of the show is classic off-topic Hustlers territory: a trending-news segment on digestive health and "the best time to poop" (spoiler: whenever your body says so, with one to two comfortable movements a day as a good benchmark), the 10-year anniversary of Harambe's death at the Cincinnati Zoo, the Blue Origin New Glenn hot-fire anomaly at Cape Canaveral and how Bezos stacks up against SpaceX and NASA, and a follow-up on the Los Gatos "party mom" Shannon O'Connor, who received a 35-year sentence — a verdict the hosts debate at length.
Cigar news is the meat for enthusiasts. The guys break down El Mago Cigars shipping the third and fourth editions of its collectible tin series — "Jug," a 5x50 box-pressed robusto with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, and "Calvary," a 5x50 box press with a Corojo wrapper and Dominican/Nicaraguan filler — both made at MGE in Estelí, limited to 1,000 tins per blend and distributed through an invite-only S-tier retailer network. Next up is the Crux Marblehead Maduro, shipping June 1 with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over Nicaraguan tobacco in Toro ($7.99) and Gordo ($8.99) sizes, plus a look at the Marblehead cap itself, and Warfighter Tobacco Company's 10th Anniversary release — a 6x52 Toro with an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper over Honduran binder and filler. The hosts riff on why San Andrés wrappers are suddenly everywhere (bandwagon vs. crop availability) and get in some plugs for their own Sobremesa-adjacent house line, Postana.
The show closes with "What's the Score," where the crew guesses Patrick Lagreid's 2012 halfwheel review of the Casa de Montecristo B56 — a cigar openly modeled on the Cuban Cohiba Behike BHK56. Clues cover banana bread and sourdough notes, near-flawless two-hour construction, and persistent sour, bitter flavors. Phil takes the win with 72 against the actual 73.

Welcome to Cigar Oster Podcast episode 541. I'm Mike Palmer, your host. I was on OGT Live last night and had a great time with Eric and Mallory. Thanks, guys, for having me on your show.
Oh. Oh, and then coming in with hamburger and ketchup everywhere. At a glacial pace. And in engineering today, we have Phil.
Had to get himself a Sammy. I have applied for a job with Manscaped, so if anyone needs a ball shave, call me McGuffey. McGuffey. Nice.
Wow. That is my co-host Mikey. I had Phil shave my balls and boy am I smooth now. Stepan Kevich.
Yes, the smoothness. Welcome, gentlemen. Thank you for having me, sir. You're welcome.
So how'd your podcast go yesterday? It went really well. It was a good time. They have a nice show.
I didn't realize they don't have a brick and mortar. They're just an online business, but they seem to do a good job. They sold several Posagna samplers while I was on. Very nice.
And I flooded the audience with people, fans of our show and friends of mine, so there was a lot of comments going back and forth. I heard you didn't acknowledge T-Money. Yeah, because he made one comment. I mean, I did say, I did acknowledge him at one point, but apparently not the point he wanted.
Oh. So. Now you're on the list. Well, he offered to do his Beer Guy show again.
Like, my wife's out of town this week of June. If you want me to come back on, just pick a night, because I owe you anyway. It's Wednesday. Well, he can't.
He's going to be out of town that week. Oh, he's going to Michigan. Yeah, he's going to Michigan. Did you say you flirted with your friends?
Uh, yes. Were we there? Well, Mikey was busy. That's why I was doing the show and I said friends.
The whole purpose as to why he did it and not me is because I could not do it. So if I could do it, if I couldn't do it and then be in the audience, that doesn't really make a lot of sense. Makes him look bad. " Well, I was doing nothing.
I didn't know. You could have been eating a hamburger. I don't know what you were doing. You never texted me.
That's because I said I don't know what you're doing at night. You could be eating a hamburger. Didn't I just say that? That he's an understanding.
Unbelievable. All right, on today's show... Oh, plus you might have been still watching the Coop Show. No, and I didn't even get a text message from that.
I wish I would have got a text message to get on that one, too. I put it in the group chat. Not in our group chat. I did.
You commented on that. Wasn't that last night? Mm-hmm. No, you put a screenshot.
You didn't say that the Coop Show was starting at this time. How do you think I got the screenshot? Yeah. How do you think you got the screenshot?
After he was already in there and he was already going. I like to be in there from the beginning so we can just start going ham right from the beginning. I didn't know he was doing the show. It's not like I'm getting notifications from the Coop Empire.
I stumbled across it. Are we going to talk about the fact that... We can. That we're both blocked?
- Yeah, we're blocked from his-- - We're blocked from Coopers. - I don't even know why he blocked me. " - I don't see these. They're not there.
- This is odd. " - You have been blocked. - Yes. - And so have I.
- Yes, welcome. Welcome to the blocky blocky. So when I commented, because his show hadn't started yet when I stumbled across it, and I said hello to Jay Davis because there was four of us in there, and Jay Davis had said something that Jay Davis does. He always comments on those shows.
So I said, oh, hi, Jay. And then Coop's face went, I saw that. He figured, how can I kick him out? Well, you can't really, but I was bored with your show, so I left.
Oh, that's not nice. Don't say that. Well, I saw my favorite part at the beginning where he does, you know, from the Coop Empire, Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah. How do you know he does that?
From the Podormo. That's your favorite part? That's my favorite part, yeah, because he sits there and then he goes one, two, I think he counted all the way to ten last night. Really?
Yes, made sure everybody was ready. That's solid. Yeah, solid ten. So on today's show, how many number two is enough?
It's been ten years, I still miss him. Well, that wasn't supposed to happen. We have an update to a previous story that we've been talking about. I like when we do updates.
It's like, here's the rest of the story. " Win by Phil. But first, Mikey, how do we get some of that amazing CH Pod swag, and did we figure out if we take Apple Pay? Yeah, we do.
You just have to make sure that it's aligned on the back end of Stripe. I sent you that link. Oh, did you send me a link since I asked? Yeah.
I just have been in the same group chat. I didn't set up, I didn't set up any, you set all that up. Oh, gotcha. So Stripe does accept Apple Pay, but there might be an extra step that you have to do.
Ah, I see. All right, I'll have to figure that out. Or maybe he can not use Apple Pay. Well, either way, I think we need to fix it.
Yeah, yeah, all right, sure. It will get on the list. It's on the list. It's on the list.
com. quam. com. You can order your stuff here.
We ship with Timu. com for all your chpod swag. We got some more orders here, bud. Hey, how many do we have to?
Well, there's one. You know what, dude? I don't even know. Add one to the BDP because when we get that apple.
You might be close. Shout out to Mark Palmer, Miguel Rocha, Ben Wilhelmi. Did Mark Palmer order again? Because you shouted out to him yesterday.
Uh-huh. Yeah, he's just trying to get you the chafe. Travis Peterson, Matthew Brugger, Christopher Weiss, you guys are all studs. We only needed like five more.
That sounds like five. Well, they might have not ordered you. They may have found the mug was up on the site. Well, where did they go?
Did you take them with you? They're upstairs for being ready to ship. Oh, you put them in the back room instead of up here. Yeah, would make more sense, right?
Well, I guess. We have a back room? Yeah. Well, we have a back room.
Yeah. You have a hamburger stamp. Mm-hmm. You have a hamburger stamp.
Is this Cigar Hustlers podcast? I don't know what show I'm on. Which show am I on? You did not bring hamburgers to everybody.
It's Hamburger Day. It's not Hamburger Day. It's two days after Hamburger Day. Actually, it's more than that.
Well, it is, technically, yes. OK. Like and subscribe wherever you're viewing or listening to this show. Right?
Yes. com, us, Cigar Hustlers podcast, where if you pay for the full year, you're going to get 10% off. 10% off. Some comments.
I've been asked how you get to be an... Apex. Yeah, Apex listener. It's a hundred dollars a month, guys.
Do it. So, you know. Do it. Do it.
" Would you like to sign up? Yeah, would you like to sign up? I can bump you to the top of the lights. Today's the day.
We don't accept Apple Pay, but you can pay by credit card, Amex. They might on that one, I don't know. That doesn't go through us. Oh.
Okay, from T-Money, your friend. My friend, not your friend. Your friend, not my friend, not my friend. The cat elected president was because you said Garfield was assassinated.
Well, it was the president's name. Sorry, we didn't get your joke. We apologize. But you're number one.
Oh, that's what his joke was last night. Okay. Yeah. Yes.
Not a joke, you have to explain it, just so you know. Yeah, and we don't remember anything. We have CRS. CRS?
Yeah. Not sure what that is either. Can't remember shit. Oh.
I know now Triple G is a fixer, the definition of "I know a guy" from CW6383. Listen. He's got a couple skills. Tell me I'm wrong.
No, no. You're exactly right. You're exactly right. He's got a couple things and we know where to implement him.
Right. Because when we give him other things, it's an absolute cluster. Yeah, like Greg, get food for the event. Right.
He's a cluster. I got these great little egg rolls. Not again. Or hey, like, oh, the spelling is incorrect on these boxes.
The funny part is, turns out, the spelling is correct on the boxes. The person who wrote the price sheet spelt everything wrong. And who wrote the price sheet? Right.
That was him too. Right. God. However, bail money?
Yeah, he's your guy. Right. Well he doesn't have to write anything. Yeah.
Exactly. Yeah, they fill out the foreign board. Yeah, no words, no letters. David Hasselhoffman, 4727.
Yes. " Yes. The pictures in the follow-up stories are the big bars. I don't know if they just grabbed those.
Right. Could it just be B-roll? Well, they make better views than, you know, tiny little bars sitting at the table, yeah. It's the big one.
It's the big one. It's the big one. The nuggets. No, it's not the nuggets.
It's the bars. I'm gonna need another one. Another one? Yep.
Yep. It's doing well. I don't know what to tell you. Look at all this information I got.
Michael Z's Cigar Guy said, "Did you really think Phil had a chance at catching that cigar? Get him a baseball mitt. " oh wow what a shot not even Coop sorry I don't get it he was taking a shot a hard shot there not even taking hard shots at Coop sorry if you want to hear a comment riddle out on the show just comment below on this YouTube episode just so you know we're going to do this for a week long and then we're going to announce our winner next week Yeah, I think you said two. Oh! Carbon fiber cutter and lighter. I don't know the brand, and the brand doesn't pay us, so we're just giving it away. We're just giving it away out of the generosity of Mr.
Palmer. So, thank you, Mr. Palmer. All you gotta do to enter to win is comment below.

No Canadians? No Canadians. He's not gonna hear this episode for another six to eight years, so by then we'll have a different gift. Well, you'll have five comments in a year on some episodes.
And I'm burning this bad boy today. Oh! Oh, look at that. La Stancia.
Ooh, La Stancia. La Stancia. Who's that, Mirafel? Mirafel.
What's that? Mirafel. Mirafel. Speaking of Scrooge McDuck.
Wow. Darkwing Duck. He's Darkwing Duck. I am the evil of the night.
Right. Muhahaha. Muhahaha. So, yeah.
Alright, when is... Oh, sorry, was that it, sorry? Yeah, let's get on with our show. When is the best time to poop?
In the morning. Pooping might not be a favorite topic for podcasts, but it's one of the most important ways you buy it. That's one of the most important ways your body gets rid of waste. Yeah.
I guess there's only two ways, so that would be the best way, I guess. Yeah. Well, there's probably three ways. Okay, I get one and two.
What's three? Pea, poop, vomit. I don't think vomit's actually a designated form of waste. I mean, it's where you get rid of, if you have toxins in your body.
For some people, it is. Yeah. What are you trying to say over there, Phil? There's some people that, you know, stick their finger down the throat.
That's an eating disorder, it's a whole different show. Yeah. That's getting rid of waste. Anyway, a healthy bowel movement is typically medium to dark brown, soft but firm, and easy to pass.
Yeah. Diet, hydration, medications, and even your gut bacteria can all affect what shows up in the toilet. Hard to believe this was a Google trending topic for today. I believe it.
Poop Knife is tracking right now. Oh, is it really? Poop Knife? After all these weeks, yeah.
Alright, but what about timing? Is there really a best time to go? Morning. According to digestive health expert, regularity matters more than the clock, while the normal range can be anywhere from three times a day to three times a week.
Oh man, that sounds miserable. Only three times a week? Yeah, that's the minimum number you should go. That's, no.
That sounds, yeah, that sounds miserable. Yeah, I'd probably have stomach aches. So backed up. Yeah.
I'm three times a day, easily. I was gonna ask, how many times a day? Three times a day, easily, and it depends on what I've eaten, but normal day, three times. Normal day three?
Yeah, one in the morning. Dare I ask, Phil? Hold on, I'm not done. One in the morning.
Yeah. A midday. Uh-huh. And then before shower or bath time?
Yeah. Yeah. Almost like clockwork. Really?
Hmm. Phil? Seven? Seven times?
No, no, probably like two to three times a day. Put your mask on. Put your mask on. It's like messing with my eyelashes today.
Oh, did you curl them up or something? You put falsies on today? No, it's just, again, the eyelids. Two or three times a day?
Yeah, somewhere around there. Okay, you can get off the camera. You can put it back up. It's fine.
Michael, and your pooping? Yeah, I mean, I would assume it's probably three or more a day. You know, the weird, three or more a day. The weird part is, we're probably together when the majority of our pooping happens.
You think so? Well, I mean, mine's either right before I leave for work or once I get to work, one or the other, at that time of the day. And then there's the Midday, which is always here. Poopin' on company time.
That's it. In for a dollar, in for a dime, poopin' on company time. Right. I don't punch a block a lot here.
Let me ask you a question. Do you have like a store that if you walk into, you instantly got to poop? No, but we all know I have issues. There are stores that I go to if I have to poop, and some that I will not poop in.
Right. Yeah, that's security issues. I have problems. I have issues.
What about you? What he said? Is there a store if you walk into it? It triggers?
No. I have one. Costco. I'm glad this is why this subject came up.
No, it's weird. What is it? It's Best Buy. Really?
Best Buy? Yeah. How often do you go in Best Buy? Not often, but when I go, I got to go.
Really? Well, you get super excited. Yeah, that's probably what happens. Is that what it is?
Yeah. Super excited. I'm ready to buy, you know, a TV or something. Well, that's one of the better ones to go to if you have to because it's not used often.
Yeah? Yes. Do you know that by data? Uh, by condition of bathroom on the times I've been there.
And the stores are not known to be, you know, traditionally always busy. Not like the old days where kids would hang out there and play video games and stuff. Yeah, yeah, back in, yeah, Circuit City days. You know, I got tricked into getting one of those membership things with them that you renew every year.
Oh, yeah. Oh, Geek Squad, like the Geek Squad. No, it's not, like, Best Buy has their own membership thing now. Oh, do they?
Yeah, and it saved me money for, like, this thing that I bought. I bought, like, that skyscraper, like, chore thing and calendar. It's awesome. That was, like, two years ago.
Oh, the thing mounted on your wall there by the fridge. And ever since then, I've been trying to log in and get this membership turned off. You can't. I can't even log in.
It's like, "Hey, send us a code. " Right. I punch in the code. That code's expired.
I'm like, "You just sent it to me. " We got your money. Yeah. How much is that a year?
It's like 50 bucks or something. 50 bucks a year? Yeah. That adds up, man.
They pelt me, yeah. Well, yeah, when you got probably 40,000 people that come to the store. I just need to call my credit card company and say, hey, turn this off. Just cancel the card.
Yeah, that's... It depends on, wait, what card is it, because like some cards, when you get a new one, they go, well, all your automatic stuff just transferred over, congratulations. Like, well, there's a reason I got rid of the card. Yeah, I need to just cancel, I need to just disable, like, cancel that situation.
Block it, yeah. Block that. Even if you go into Best Buy, they won't cancel it? Oh, yeah, they said, no, you got to call somebody.
Yeah, no, you can't do it in store. I'm sorry, you can't do it in store. You have to call the Middle East to cancel this, please. - Yeah.
- It's like a gym membership, you can never cancel those either. - It's kind of like hotel cancellations. - Yeah. - There's no reservation, like, you order, you know, you order your room or whatever, and then you realize, oh man, I got the date wrong or something like that, and you call the counselor, I'm sorry, no refunds.
Okay, but I'm in a real pinch, who do I need to call? Well, we don't have your credit card number. Well, who does? You charge the card.
- Somebody did. - Yeah, you need to call here, and you call there, and I say, oh no, you need to call the hotel. - Right. - I'm like, oh my God.
- I just did this. Yeah, you didn't buy this from us, you bought it from a third party down the fourth party road. Oh, yeah, the website. Yeah, they start throwing you around.
com. No, no, it's even worse than that. " Like, that's what they do. Round it, round it, round it.
Yeah. It's like, what are we, what, what, huh? No. What are we doing here?
Like, yeah, just taking you for 500, that's what we're doing. Like, wow. Yeah. Crazy stuff.
You want to know what I just found out, though? It's sort of related, because we got the new Wi-Fi service. It makes you poop. Oh, you got AT&T?
Yeah, we went to the AT&T thing. First Spectrum's a pain in the ass when you try to-- Oh, my God. Oh, my Lord. The guy was like, you realize that they get hacked all the time.
Oh, he was talking smack. Yeah, he's talking smack about AT&T. That's awesome. " Right?
Yeah, for all your other tools. Yeah, I didn't know that, because, you know, I expect to spend the rest of the night hooking up all the TVs and everything, doing all the codes and stuff. " That was awesome. He went right to the problem.
Right. You know what I mean? Instead of, you know, treating the symptom. Right, instead of just telling me, you know, "Okay, here's your new name.
It's, uh, you know, your password is IP Daily. Right. Oh, IP Daily? Uh, that is the name of a Wi-Fi router from one of my neighbors.
Nice. He watches the Simpsons. I guess, yeah, I don't know. Oh, is that where that's from?
Yeah. It's funny when you go to look, you know, and it pulls up all the routers that he can pick up in the area and all the funny names on it. Yeah. So, uh, you remember when Bart used to call Moe at the tavern?
Uh-huh. Moe's tavern. Yeah, that was one of them. Hmm.
Mr. Daily? Mr. IP Daily?
Hold on, hold on. Let me find them. Let me find them for you. Hold on a minute.
Is the IP Daily here? Isn't it the IP Daily? Wait a minute. Hold on now.
That's a hard voice to do. Can't do that anymore. No. I can do it.
Oh, by the way, I found out what I have. That's why all the coffins go. Oh, AIDS. COVID.
Wow. Straight to the AIDS. All right. You guys didn't even like, you know, worm your way down there.
Diphtheria? Did something happen where you were ball shaving somebody? Yeah. Wow.
What do you got? Bronchitis. I like AIDS, it's funny. Yeah, AIDS is way better.
Yeah. So, the AIDS, huh? Wow, that's too bad. Yeah, I can't believe you have AIDS.
Wow. That's okay, it's not a death sentence anymore. No, he already, it's full-blown for him. Oh, I'm very sorry.
Yeah. Should have taken that pill where they do that commercial where all those guys are hugging each other in the commercial. Yeah. I don't know what commercial that is.
You haven't seen that pill? I've seen it. Yeah, there's a pill. Where all the guys are hugging each other?
Yeah. And they're happy. They're very happy men. Yeah.
Is it Cialis? No, no. Not that kind of pill. No.
It would have solved the problem and you wouldn't have what you have. Right. So are we saying AIDS are from just men hugging each other? No, we're saying that there's a commercial.
Yeah, I'm saying there is a commercial. We're saying there's a commercial. Where these guys are very happy and some are dancing, some are at parties, some are having coffee. Yeah.
And they talk about this pill that you take that keeps you from getting that thing you have. And that's all we're saying. That's all we're saying. So don't read into them.
Yeah. You're an evil man. But I'm sure they would like your manscaping services. Yeah.
They are looking for a marketing manager, by the way, if anybody is interested. How would you know that? The Manscaping? The Manscaped Company.
Oh, really? Remember, because we were sponsored by them for a small time there. Was that a real sponsor or was that a made-up one? No, no, that was a real sponsor.
They sent us two kits that we used and talked about on the air. Yeah, that was all they gave us. That's all they gave us, yeah. Years ago.
Years ago. Well, look at where they're at now. Right now they're hiring a whole marketing manager. Yeah, you're welcome.
Yeah, you're welcome. You're welcome. That's right. Want to come back on as a sponsor?
That will take. Right, Skip? That's the kind Skip said we should get, that kind. Something like that, yeah.
Yeah, something like that. Many experts believe that one to two solid bowel movements per day is often associated with better gut health, focusing on having a routine that feels comfortable, predictable, and easy. Bowel movements should pass without excessive straining and leave you feeling empty afterwards. Do you feel empty afterwards?
I feel empty inside all the time. Well, yeah, I understand, but that's your heart, not your tum-tum. If you're going fewer than three times per week, experiencing hard stools, pain, or excessive straining, it's a sign of constipation. At the end of the day, the healthiest time to poop is whenever your body naturally tells you it's time to go.
East time. East time. First cigar and some coffee. Oh, these cigars and coffees don't make me go.
Maybe the coffee makes me go in the morning, I don't know. Hmm. Weird. Must be my dogs to go, too, because they go first thing in the morning.
Their coffee? Yeah, it must be their coffee, too. It's weird. Yeah.
All right, this past Thursday, because today is technically Monday, marks the 10-year anniversary of the death of Harambe. Oh, really? At the Cincinnati Zoo, yes. It was an incident that sparked global attention and changed Mikey's life forever.
It's already been 10 years? It's been 10 years. I know, it just seems like it was the end of the day, right? In 2016, a three-year-old boy climbed through a barrier and fell into the gorilla exhibit.
A video showed the 17-year-old silverback dragging the child through the water inside the enclosure. Zoo officials made the decision to shoot and kill Harambe, saying they believed the boy's life was in danger. I think the kid would have been okay. I don't think so.
Yeah? I mean, he just dragged him up. It looked like he was going to take care of him. I'm like, "Oh, I knew the boy hurt.
" No, I don't think... I think it's just going to go... I think it's very easy for it to do that in an instant, and you don't know. Oh, that's true.
Yeah. The child survived with minor injuries. Cincinnati's guerrilla world reopened more than a year after the incident with several changes in place. They made all these safety changes so that a child would not get through the barriers again.
Years later, the guerrilla's name lives on. It does. Mikey, do you remember where you were when you first heard the news? I was on the Square Houses podcast.
Oh, did we cover that originally? Are you sure that was 10 years ago? Yes. Isn't that the reason why you got the whole statute?
Oh, if it's 10 years ago, we couldn't have covered it on the show. It wasn't me, yeah. It wasn't me. - I don't know where I was.
- Oh. - Yes, I remember. - How did your people take the news? - Me and the rest of the gorillas?
- Yes, you and the rest of the gorillas. - We were upset. We were upset. - Were you?
I'm sure it was a hard day. - We felt like better security measures could have, you know, avoided this. - Right, it could have been avoided, obviously. - However, we knew that what had to be done had to be done.
- Did you attend the funeral? - Me and the rest of the gorillas did attend the funeral. - What do you wear to a gorilla funeral? This is interesting.
Well, you're already in, you already have the black on. Right. Yeah. Oh, that's why you wear the black shirt.
Yeah, yeah. Oh, that makes sense. Yeah. So it's, you don't really have to dress up.
Tie or no tie? Uh, it's a no tie. Yeah, it seems like it would be a casual type thing. Yeah.
It's casual? Yeah. Well, as opposed to a black tie event. Yeah.
Oh. Yeah, I don't have to wear my tux. Got it. So, I heard you gave a speech at the Celebration of Life for Harambe.
I did. Do you remember what you said? To you? I have part of it here.
That's the most touching part of it here. That's the most touching part. Yeah, go ahead. Okay.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ahh. That was a very touching part of it. Yeah, that was right in the middle. Yeah.
And yeah, that was... What I read is they brought a little bit of a tear. That was a very emotional time for me. Yeah, I imagine, yeah.
I didn't take it well. No. Is that when you stopped doing the cereal? For a brief period of time, yeah.
Because I heard the two of you used to eat cereal. We were. We were cereal buddies. Right.
Yeah. All right. I have a video. Do you?
Yes. This is not the standard video portion of the show, but for the next story, a video is appropriate, though. So, hold on. I got to find our thing.
It should be the top if you use it. Yep, there it is. I believe it is this one. Trim this a little bit.
Oh wait, that's not it. Wrong one. Oh my god. Wrong one.
Sorry, I have so many... Must have been where you texted me last night about the start of the show. I have so many videos on my phone. I'm sorry.
This is CapCut Rockets. Oh. There we go. Oh, Cordoba & Morales event.
Cordoba & Morales event, yes. Good. You can see, when you see the original video, you can see why there was confusion. Okay, that's it.
Oh, yeah. So they went to launch another rocket over at the Space Coast the last day or so. The Blue Origin New Glendon rocket experienced an anomaly during a ground test known as a hot fire. Thursday, so it was last Thursday.
The company Sheridan X video captured from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida Thursday evening appears to show a rocket exploding on its launch pad. "All personnel are accounted for and safe," said Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin's founder, said in a separate X post, "It's too early to know the root cause, but we're already working to find it. Very rough day, but we will rebuild whatever needs to rebuilding and get back to flying. " This has to be billions of dollars.
Listen, man, look, if I need a comb today, I'll call Amazon, right? Right. I'm not looking for Jeff to get us into space, this is just ridiculous. That is, stay in your lane.
Yeah, like what, no, I'm, yeah. Yeah, just stay in your lane. I'm not surprised. Books and combs, rockets.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. , I'm calling, I'm hitting the button. Right. Space?
Question mark. You know, this is ridiculous. So now we have three people, we have NASA, we have Bezos, and we have Musk. We just got the one guy.
It's not even close. No, I mean, we have three people, though, that are trying to do it. I understand. But there's one that's clearly above the other two.
NASA? No. Oh, Elon. Yeah.
I guess it's not clearly above the other two. It's not clearly. Yeah, no. You think the people the government has doing it would be...
SpaceX? I mean, you knew that they weren't messing around when all of a sudden the rocket came in and it landed straight back. Right, yeah, right. It's like, okay.
Okay. Right? We don't have to look for these. Yeah.
Right. You know what, here's what, how about I just put it back on the launchpad after, like, oh, okay, that sounds like a great idea. Has Bezos launched anything successful? Yeah, yeah, yeah, he put the women in space, remember?
Yeah, but they didn't really, I mean, they, like, went up and came right back down. And they pretended to come, they, like, had to reshoot it. Right. And then somebody leaked the fact that they reshot it.
Oh, did they? I don't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, this is...
Whoa. If I'm Jeff, you gotta go the other way, like, let's go to the bottom of the ocean. Oh, because nobody's doing that. There's minimal competition.
Well, somebody tried that. Oh, that's right. Not with Baylor's money. Oh, yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean? Yeah, just don't do the carbon fiber subject. Like, why are you going to punch into Elon? I don't understand it.
He's not at that level, in my opinion. You don't think so? No. Is he money-wise at the same level?
Oh, yeah. But that's the thing, you know. I have all this money. What am I going to do?
Go to the bottom of the ocean. I want to go to outer space. I think it would be way cooler if you went to the bottom of the ocean. I mean, you could die either way, so, you know, it's not like one's less dangerous.
At least if your boat blew up, no one would really know about it, as bad as a Cape Canaveral looks like an atom bomb exploded. " I'm sure. " He goes, "Wait for it. " Wow.
I think it's actually probably harder to go to the bottom of the ocean than the space. Yeah. Probably so. Plus we know there's monsters in the ocean.
Yeah, and then think he can deliver stuff down there after he's done. You know what I mean? Yeah, you can figure that out. Vitamin D sitting on the bottom of the ocean.
You can figure that out. That would be great. That would be great for everybody. Well, I mean, Elon's is called, what's the name of his company in space?
SpaceX. If it's called SpaceX, that means there is no NASA because that's what they turned into. SpaceX is the government. No.
No, government is NASA. Yeah. No, no, SpaceX is now part of the military. That's Space Force.
Oh, Space Force, sorry. Something completely different. It was close. Yes, yes, space is in both names.
You know what happened with that peanut butter and jelly sandwich? You had like a sugar spike. Right. It wasn't a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
I thought it was a hamburger. You had a cheeseburger? No, it was a, if you must know. Yeah, it was a Little Debbie's.
It was a slice of cauliflower crusted goat cheese chicken pizza. No, it wasn't. It was from Blaze. What is Blaze?
It's make your own pizza place. It sounds like the place where you get... AIDS? I didn't want to say it.
So, wait a second. Not only did he make his own pizza, he chose cauliflower and what else here? Cauliflower. Goat cheese.
Yeah, crust. Chicken. And chicken. Wait, you have to make your own when you go there?
Yeah, it's like one of those places like, you know how that's a new thing? So everybody goes down, you pick what you want on your pizza, you can pick the crust, they have like a pasta place like that, they have... No, I was not aware that people go out to dinner and cook their own food. Yeah, so we've gotten rid of the chef then?
I mean, it's still somebody that cooks it. Is it like the... You just pick everything. Hot pot?
Not hot pot, but... Korean hot pot? Well, no, not that one. Melting pot?
Melting pot, yeah, where you go there and cook your own food. We cook everything in soup? $75? Yeah, that's different, like you actually, you know, put everything on the screw and you cook it yourself.
Oh, okay, so this place is more like a buffet pizza place. - Where I say I would like this crust. - It's like Chipotle. - I was going to say, Chipotle.
- Give me some queso, a little more chicken. - Yeah, it's like Chipotle, yeah. - Or, like, SpaceX, you know. - Right.
They didn't have, like, dough, pizza dough, a regular dough? - No, they do. No, they have, like, five different... - What made you pick cauliflower?
- Yeah, I've tried that. - It's good, and it gets more crispy. - It gets crispier? - Well, they can just cook the bread longer.
- I have cauliflower pizza all the time. - Do you? - Yeah, it's conveniently, like, I think Costco has a good one. I'm just curious as to why Phil here would have chosen… Right.
The healthiest man alive. You know what I mean? That's not his go-to. I would never have assumed that that was his go-to.
Right. Yeah. But now I see the logic of the crispiness. I like Blaze Pizza.
Mm-hmm. Okay. So it's between here and Daytona, apparently? No.
I mean, they have... Winter Park has one. Yes, but where did you go to it today? Oh, I was in Daytona.
Yeah. Yes. If you had a crunch time to get here, you thought, I should stop and get a pizza. Let me grab a slice.
You said one o'clock. And you were late. By what, a couple of minutes, like a minute or two? If you had not stopped, those couple of minutes would have been early.
Good point. We're at crunch time today, buddy. This is the toughest day of the month. It's his time.
Of the month. Yeah. All right, updates. You remember the California party mom from last year?
No. Oh, the mayor or whatever? Yes. Who threw the party.
And had sex with the boy. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then the boys told his girlfriend, the girlfriend told the new boyfriend, next thing you know, she's in jail. Right.
All right, California party mom story from last year. A judge has sentenced the San Francisco Bay Area mother to 35 years in prison. Oh, my God. After her conviction for a slew, they use slew in the story.
A slew? A slew of crimes resulting from hosting drunken sex parties for young teenagers. That's more time than Diddy got. Widely known as the Las Gatos Party Mom.
That's what they call her in prison. The Cats. The Cat Party Mom. They call her in prison.
A nickname that referenced her hometown, 52-year-old Shannon O'Connor was convicted of four dozen crimes in March, including child endangerment, dissuading witnesses from responding to crime, and facilitating forcible sexual assault. She got sentenced for 35 years. 35 years. And, that's the maximum allowed, she has to register as a sex offender if she makes it up.
Oh, okay. Whatever. That's fine. She's gonna be, what, 70?
80? Yeah, now you remember we saw pictures of her at the time and she used to wear a bikini and she was, you know, for an attractive woman, right? She's not aging well in her incarceration. I didn't even recognize her at first.
I thought it was somebody different. Well, I'm sure they don't give her makeup or anything in incarceration. Apparently, the food's a lot better, and there's no working out in a female prison like in a male prison. Oh.
There's no workout facilities, because she has gotten a little more robust. A little plumper. A little plumper. Apparently, they don't let her color her hair in prison, because it is very streaky.
It's almost brown now, where it was blonde before. Oh. And, yeah, she's not that agey well. Maybe they got the wrong one.
Does the sentence match, for your opinion, does the sentence match the crime? I don't, it is the maximum they could give her. They couldn't give her any more possible. And I don't.
35 years? I mean, but, well, I mean, that's. I don't remember this story. That's what our judicial story, our judicial system sets up as, well, if you do this, you get this.
Diddy's getting a couple of years. Yeah, but he's rich and he's famous and he has probably a lot better at times. Yeah, but he. So what you're saying is.
But his charges. Yes, money works. Yeah. Yeah, his charges should have been way worse than what hers are.
I'm not familiar. Did he ever get accused or found guilty of anything involving children? Yes. How the hell should I know?
You give me the news. Well, maybe it would stick out more in your mind, because I read a lot of news that we don't cover, so there's more news in my head. Oh, not to my knowledge. I don't know.
The judge said this isn't some fun parent giving sips of wine spritzers to kids, said Santa Clara, oh, this is the District Attorney Jeff Rosen, wrote in a statement, She facilitated dangerous and drunken sex acts with these children. Dangerous? She risked their lives and damaged their psyches. She is not a party mom.
Shannon O'Connor is a convicted felon. Shannon O'Connor is a registered sex offender, he says. This guy does not like this lady. He's the district attorney.
This is the type of case that makes a man's career. Maybe one of his kids were involved. Maybe she turned him down. I bet you the kid that she slept with, I bet you he feels terrible now, too.
Yeah, but it sounds like multiple. What? You don't think he had a good time? No, I mean, you know, probably, I would assume that he did now, but now she's stuck 35 years.
Right. How do you think that affects him? Yeah, now he's got to find a new one. You think he's waiting on her?
I'll wait for you. No, I don't think that's the case at all, but you got, you know, he gave out the intel. Right. It's not like she's doing, I don't even know, like, what do you think would be the unacceptable punishment for this?
Yeah, I know, that's just it. I mean, if it's not the maximum, is it the minimum? I don't know what the minimum is. Give her a slap on the wrist and go, "Bad?
" I don't know. What do you think, Phil? Are we talking about drinking alcohol with children? She drank alcohol with children, then she had sex with one of the children, and then she tried to convince them not to say anything.
Okay, but you say one of the children. Like, how old is this kid? Yeah, is he a teenager? 19, 18?
Yeah, 16, 17 years old, he's in that range, he's not a, you know, it wasn't a five-year-old. Right, but you see, there's a big difference in using that word, children, right? Right. In the law's eyes, he was a child.
And I mean, look, I would still argue the fact that he's extremely young, and he's a kid, right? I would say that, but, I don't know, I feel like the term "adolescent" would probably be more appropriately used in this scenario, instead of labeling this... Yeah, like a pedo or something. Yeah, because it's not like the kid was like nine.
Yeah, right, right. You know what I mean? Now, if he was sober, maybe a little different, but supposedly he was drunk and didn't know what he was doing. I mean, look, I'm okay with a punishment, right?
35 years seems a bit excessive. Yeah, maybe like three years, five years. It just sounds like there was multiple children involved, so maybe there's... Again, with the children.
- Multiple adolescents involved. - There you go, that's better. - Maybe there's other stories we didn't follow or hear where there was other parties where this also happened. - I got news for you, if it happened one time, I would assume that that kid said to the other ones, you're not gonna believe what Jimmy's mom did.
- Like there were other parties where Jimmy's mom did this with other adolescents. - Right, right, but you're not following me. Jimmy's mom does yada yada. Right?
" Oh, sure, right. She gave it up. " is what they're on, right? Yeah.
I love Kool-Aid. Right? These are great. Jimmy, can we come to the party too?
Oh, yeah. Dude, you're my best friend, right? Right. I don't know.
" My mother's been ridden more than Seattle Slough. What's going on? Mom, all the kids are talking about you at school. Apparently you're very popular.
Yeah. Oh, honey, that's so nice. So look, I mean, go ahead, Phil. I mean, there's been some people that have committed murder that have gone off with less time.
Well, did they kill a child? Did they kill an adolescent? They killed somebody, it doesn't matter who they killed. Maybe they were bad people.
Dude, wild. Wild. 35 years? Well, probably what's happened though, why she got 35 years, is there's probably multiple accounts which may be added to 35.
35. So like you get seven years for every adolescent you had sex with and there was five of them. Yeah. You like to count pills.
Right. Could be. Seven years for every pill. And she's got several.
I mean, they said there's dozens of crimes that she has committed. So maybe that maybe just all added up. Yeah. You know.
And California is not a great place, so they definitely hit her with a book. Yeah. It seems like California would be the place like, okay, you ran over to Mike's foot. That's a year and a half.
Yeah. You know. You breed them smog. Right.
And that's another two years. Jimmy and Bobby said they both went first, so we're confused, so that's eight years for each one. And you're giving not healthy snacks to the kids, that's ten years. For each snack, so, you know.
I'm sorry, can we get a grand total, please? Carry the one, carry the two. 35, Judge, we got 35 going back here. 35 years it is.
35 years it is. Guilty. Dude, California prisons are, so I just asked a question, are California prisons at capacity? And, Google, whatever, ChatGPT says, California state prisons are technically over their original design capacity, but they operate well within the federally mandated population limits.
A lot of bad people in California. As of 2026, the overall adult prison population hovers around 121% of design capacity. That's wild. So you're thinking maybe she should not be in there because her crime is not as bad as, say, this murder person that Phil knows?
Yeah, no, I'm not saying, I'm just saying that 35 years seems a bit excessive. Oh, yeah. And if I'm going to draw the conclusion that this is excessive in this scenario, there's probably a lot of scenarios where the sentencing is extremely excessive in California. Maybe this is one of those judges that likes to do the limit.
It was 50 years, but it was a parking ticket. It doesn't matter. Yeah, you're done. You're done.
It's within my jurisdiction or jurisprudence or whatever. It is my noble right. There's a lot of, there's a lot of people that are, you know, misappropriated. Acute, whatever you want to call it, mis-sensed.
That's why they have, they have all those groups. In jail for crimes they didn't commit? There was a football player that just got out that was like that. He was in, he was in prison for like 12 years or something like that.
Something like that. For something he didn't do, and now they have new technology and the DNA says he was in a different state? Well, actually, it was about DNA. They said he killed somebody.
Sir, you were doing 46 in a 45. Do you have anything to say to yourself? No, sir, I'm very sorry. 30 years in prison, and prima nocte.
Where is his wife? 'Tis my noble wife. Bring her here. Bring her here.
Oh, no. Okay. Are we going to a castle? No, we are going behind this shed.
In my chambers. In my chambers. Soundproof, gotta hear that's a problem. And now we've just linked it to yesterday's show.
Right. Last week's show. Last week on. See?
It's not easy! Alright, Michael, you got a video? No, I had that blow-up thing. I was gonna do that and you beat me to it, yeah.
Oh, sure, you're just saying that because I had a video. Maybe. Alright, we're on to Cigar News. Ooh.
El Mago, Ships Collectible 10 Series Jug and Calvary. Did we end up picking this up? I know Greg was very hot on this brand. El Mago?
Hi, we're doing a show over here. Dude, I'm looking at severe weather going into this. Oh, it's gonna storm all evening. I got the championship game, man.
Yeah, I was supposed to do an ice cream walk. I'm not doing it. Can't you just do it in your car? Ice cream walk?
Why are you walking with ice cream? Is that why you had the Cauliflower Pizzas? You could have ice cream later? No.
It was an ice cream walk later in downtown DeLand. Hmm. How many ice cream stores are in DeLand? I don't know.
Greg has talked about El Mago. Yeah, we've had them in the past. Wait, did we pick it up? Because this was kind of neat.
They're little tins of cigars. Oh, we're not carrying them yet. Oh. El Mago Cigars is shipping the third and fourth editions of the company's collectible tin series.
The third release in the series is named Jug, a 5x50 box press Robusto made with Mexican San Andreas wrapper and an Ecuadorian binder and filler blend of Nicaraguan tobacco. The fourth edition is named Calvary. It's also a 5x50 box press Robusto with a blend that uses a Corojo wrapper from some country we're not going to say, and binder and fillers grown in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua. Both releases have an MSRP of?
It's a ten. It's a ten. It's a ten. It's a ten of how many cigars?
Five? Five count ten. For Busto Cigars. Boots?
Phil. Phil? Aidsie Phil? 50 bucks.
Wait, it's per cigar we're looking for here, Genius? Oh, okay. I thought you wanted the total of a ten. Ten dollars.
$14. You went the wrong way, $11. I went. I went the wrong way?
Yep, I went. He said $10. It was $11. You went $14.
I went the right way. You went the right way too far. Thank you. The cigars are made at the MGE Cigar Factory in Esteli and are limited to just a thousand of these little tints per blend.
El Mago's collectible tin series debuted in March with the O-Y-A-M-A Oyama. The Oyama? Oyama. Oyama Omen and the Mr.
Omen. Oyama. Oyama Omen. He's Oyama.
What should we name it? Oyama Omen and then maybe Mr. Almond. And then Calvary.
Right. You know, let's just throw Calvary in there. Cordy De Nic, founder of El Mago Cigars, the company is committed to releasing at least seven different blends in collectible 10 series, but it is possible that additional cigars could be added to the line. In an email, Andre Sanchez, National Sales Director for El Mago Cigars, told Half Wheel the first wave of both new releases is shipping to randomly selected groups of S-tier accounts, which is an invite-only network of fewer than 40 retailers.
I guess we're not on that list. No. Whatever. Crux.
What? Okay. Crux is shipping the Marblehead Maduro to stores June 1st. Oh.
Do you know that they have their own proprietary cap now called the Marblehead? They've had it for a while. Well, yes, but I just found out about it with this story. You just discovered it?
I just discovered it. A new wrapper option for Crux Cigars' Marblehead line will start shipping to retailers next week. The Crux Marblehead Maduro is made with a Mexican San Andreas wrapper covering an internal blend of Nicaraguan tobacco. We were talking last night on the OTG podcast.
We did Connecticut, then it seemed like everybody started making Connecticut. We did San Andreas, now it seems like everybody's making San Andreas. So we've done Sumatra, so now we are expecting everybody to start making Connecticut. You think that we are the trendsetters?
That's the way I implied it last night, yes. I like the way you think. Thank you very much. And you're right.
We are. We are. Yeah. Right.
Listen, Postana's number two on Half Wheel for a reason. That's right. You guys can make everything, but we're always going to be worse than Padrón, slightly better than Padrón, and until you can say that, Postana reigns champion. Right?
Like the first Marblehead blend. Oh, yes. You're correct. Sorry.
Thanks. Thanks, Phil. Yeah, you don't like Yes Men, remember, so you're correct. Right.
I didn't want to say yes, because you don't like Yes Men. It's not a Yes Men thing. If you say something and you look at me and you want me to say, "Yes, you're right," that's being a yes man. No, it's like if I made a cigar for you and you thought it was terrible and you said, "Oh, I like it," that's a yes man.
Well, isn't that the same idea? As you say something, I might not necessarily agree, but I say yes. So you don't agree? That's not what I said.
You don't agree the postagna? I don't want people to think I'm just being a yes man. Okay, well then, but I need to hear, do you agree or do you not agree? With the fact that people think I'm a yes man?
No, that postaña is slightly better than Padrón, but slightly worse than Padrón. Well, I think that's been proven, yes. You know what, why don't we get a couple of those and smoke them, you know, just to see. He's always looking for the free cigars.
The postañas? I smoke the postañas every day. So do I. Yeah, yeah, but you're asking us.
It was raining last night, I could not smoke during the show. What, are you doing it in the rain? No, I did it in my office at home because I didn't want to sit outside in the rain. You don't have a patio?
No, I don't have a potty? Yeah, I have a potty, but I wasn't going to smoke in the potty either. Why didn't you smoke in the potty? I didn't want to smoke in the potty.
That's in the house. I'm not allowed to smoke in the house. Yeah. Okay.
But I had certain cigars to show. I'm sorry, this is kind of off subject. I had certain cigars that I had so I could show. And then they addressed the comments in the show quite often.
" Oh, well, by the way, smoke this, trust me. Right. Somebody said, "You know what would be great? " Oh!
I have this. A Sumatra San Andreas barber pole? Oh, isn't that what the, the new SBC, I might be saying. Oh, maybe.
I think it is. Hmm. You're very wise. So I had, I had that hand, he pulled that out.
So. Ah, let's see, they're shipping these marble heads to stores. You're just an amazing person. It's been, it just, I mean, I was just laughing at it like what?
And I go, it's like I planned this. I don't know who that guy is, but perfect. Here's this one. Let's talk about this for a minute.
Oh, that guy's obviously entrenched into the postaña. He knows. Well, you know, with the code names, it's really hard to tell who somebody is anyway. Right.
I mean, I feel like we know who Ruckus Unchained is. Well, that's your mother, obviously. No, that's who we say, but obviously, I think that we know. I just assume it's your mother.
I don't know who it is. she's not unchained we keep her in check you keep her chained I don't think you keep her in check who do you think Rutgers Unchained is no idea but I feel like we know them oh I well the one guy last night said he met me at an event at a certain shop and I was a very nice man and he seemed like I know what I'm talking about and I don't remember who he was I mean there's people we run into all the time there's no way to remember and then it's not like you know it's not like it said Bob the The guy you met at Holy Smokes. You need to remember these people. By the weird names they make as their handles on Yard Guard or whatever it was called?
Yard Guard. Yeah. Yard something. It was the Yard one.
I don't know. How am I supposed to know what those are? Yard Duck? No, not Yard Duck.
But I think there is a duck on it though, on their logo. Duck Yard? Ducky Duck. Yardy Duck.
Ducky Duck. Hardy Duck? I don't know. Duck.
I mean, T-Money, at least he's called T-Money everywhere, so you know who he is. Consistently T-Money? Yeah, at least he's consistently paid money. So the ship of this thing is made a Tablical-era Pages de Nicaragua essay.
The original line uses a dark Ecuadorian Colorado Habano wrapper. It's Colorado Habano. A different type of Habano? Yeah.
And it's grown in Colorado. Yeah. There are two sizes, both shipping in 20-count clear PVC bundles, each containing four or five-pack bundles, as with the original Marblehead line. Retailers will also receive a refillable 60-count display tray.
Mmm. This sounds very familiar. No. No?
That's how they've been doing things lately, they've been doing these tray things for a while. Yeah, I saw a picture of the tray on the thing. There's nothing new. No.
In this industry. Right, no, it's cigars. Let's see, they're doing a Maduro Gordo. How much is that one?
Six by sixty. Single stick. Uh, $16. Oh, $14.
99. This is a budget line. Yeah, that feels a little lighter. Marblehead Maduro Toro, 6x50?
$7. 50. 99. I win.
It's a penny less? It's a dollar less. 99. 99.
99. Carry the one, subtract. Yeah. Put up eight fingers.
So is this long filler or long filler/short filler? It doesn't say. "Our goal with the Marblehead Maduro was to create a cigar that delivers premium Maduro character at an exceptional value," said Jeff Hogan, co-founder of Crux Cigars, in a press release. "This is a cigar that fits perfectly into anyone's regular rotation without sacrificing quality or complexity.
" In a regular hat. Oh, traditional cap, sorry. Cap hat. Well, I mean, it sounds like they were close, but smoke, just trust me, 660 Gordo, $8 MSRP, buy three, get one free, brings it down to six bucks.
Long filler. Bandit. Your move, Casey. Casey's not in there, it's Jeff now.
Jeff's in charge? Jeff's in charge. Yeah, but I like Casey. I like Casey too.
Yeah, and they have the cool screen. Yeah, they do that at every show. That screen is awesome. It's quite the crowd in there.
I know. I want the screen. We need a bigger screen. We need, I would be okay with a slightly smaller screen.
We should just have just a tiny screen, just go the other way, just go the other direction. We have a screen. We have a screen though too. It's a pretty cool screen.
And then everybody has to huddle together. Yeah, yeah, gather around, gather around. Right. Hmm.
All right, Warfighter Tobacco Company, they're also shipping their 10th anniversary San Andreas. Oh. See, everybody's doing that, everybody's doing it. Look man, there's only a handful of rappers you can do.
Well, why is everybody doing them at the same time? Because normally, crops are good, and then you can buy, oh, there's like an exit, like, oh, hey, look at all the good San Andreas, we should all jump on that bandwagon this year. It's not a, it's not a jump on a bandwagon, it's like, oh, this is good, right, so we'll use this, and then it's different primings, different things, like, there's a whole different fermentation, isn't really a bandwagon thing. Sure it is, nobody was doing it last year, but now it's good, so everybody wants to use it.
I know that you keep saying that, but that's not the case, it's like, this is what you just said, maybe it's good San Andreas, so now everybody wants to use different primings, I didn't use the San Andreas because it's good this year. Yeah, so you see what's available pre-industry, and if there's a bunch of it, then maybe you can get it, and you get it at a good price. So everybody's jumping on the bandwagon and using it. They're not really jumping on a bandwagon.
I'm going to continue to say this. It's about what's available. Potato, potato, I think. We're going to have to agree to disagree, Michael.
No, it's not potato, potato. I know you're still hurting from Harambe, but it's okay. It's over with now. No, it's been 10 years.
" It's been 10 years. Yeah, we're all good. And I'm not, I'm still not okay. All right.
Warfighter Tobacco Company has began shipping its two new releases from the PCA-2026, well he's from the, everybody knows that the tryptophan is in the, uh, is in the pizza? Is in the pizza? Is in the cauliflower pizza? Cauliflower's got tryptophan in it.
He's napping. Napping, napping, napping. Or maybe the mask is cut off, the blood flow to his brain and he's falling asleep. Yeah.
I'm sorry, are we keeping you? Are we boring you? Nope. There's that, there's that AIDS.
No. You know, Saperoncidus. So let's see, they're making a 652 Toro that uses Ecuadorian-grown Sumatra seed wrapper atop a Honduran binder and filler. Unlike many anniversary cigars, this will be a regular production release with production handled by Tabacalera, Tabacalera Carrera, in Estonia.
Tabacalera Carrera? The cigar is an MSRP of? I'm just going to tell you, you guys haven't got it right today. Tabacalera Carrera?
75, while a box of 20 cigars is $255. $55. We would have never got that one. Right, it's a warfighter, so we're just gonna zip through the second cigar because you know what it's time for?
The industry's favorite game. What's the score? July 10th, 2012, Patrick LaGreed Cigars reviews the Casa de Monte Cristo B56. 87.
85. 95, and they smoked 3. So they tell you the filler's from Columbia? Yeah, one of the fillers is from Columbia.
Columbia and Undisclosed. They don't tell you anything else. Yeah, I don't know why they only told you one of them. They're trying to highlight it.
Oh, yeah, there we go. 82. 95. Let's see, clue number one.
The B-56. I'm sorry, okay? " - Hmm, 85. - Sort of tastes like cauliflower pizza, it sounds like.
- Oh, it tastes like cauliflower pizza. - Keeps you up, though. - Which is delicious. - Um, 85.
- That's what I said. - He doesn't listen. - Yeah. - Clue number two: construction was outstanding.
The burn was nearly flawless across all three samples. Sorry. Now I think I'm catching his... Bronchitis?
Requiring almost no touch-ups or relights for a cigar... He caught his AIDS. He caught his AIDS. Well I let him trip my balls.
And now AIDS. Now AIDS. For the smoking time... Because he nicked me.
He nicked me and then nicked his hand. That's how he rubbed them together. One star review. Right.
I did not give him a good Yelp review. Yeah. Cigar with a smoking time approaching two hours. that's impressive performance 87 it's not very chatty today 85 I'm on medicine right now man what do you want from making me a little tired kind of a medicine are you on it's uh amoxicillin antibiotic yes makes you tired I don't know it's making me a little tired maybe that's from the It's the Tryptophan and the Cauliflower, I told you.
Third and final clue. While the cigar had moments of promise, the recurring sour and occasionally bitter notes never fully disappeared. Oh, there the whole time. Combined with a lack of complexity and depth compared to the Bahiki it aims to emulate.
Bahiki? The experience ultimately fell short of my expectations. I am very disappointed in you, cigar. You did not fulfill your obligations.
Sour through and through, 79. Oh. So they're trying to make this taste like a Cohiba? Yeah, that sounds like it.
Like a Bahiki. Bahiki. Bahiki. Bahiki.
Yeah. Uh, 78. Careful of that tapping foot, you're wrapped around, you're almost in the cords there. Final thought.
This is the last thing, the thought, the final one. This is the last thing they're going to say. It tasted just like a bahiki. It was amazing.
Going into the review, I couldn't help but think that I was going to be smoking a knock-off cigar, a product simply trying to capitalize on the success of the Norati of the Cuban Cohiba Bahique. Despite a real effort to find something in the cigar to prove otherwise, I just couldn't, I just couldn't. This wasn't there. Make no mistake about it, this is no Bahique.
None of the three cigars left me really wanting another one, and if anything made me want to grab something else to put a better taste on my palate. If you're looking for the flavors of the Cuban Cohiba Bajique, you're still better off going with the Cuban Cohiba Bajique. If you think that by smoking the B56, you'll get a good idea of what the Cuban Cohiba Bajique BHK56 tastes like, you're wrong and sadly disappointed. That's it.
I love the fact that the Cohiba Bajique. It's a standout cigar for him to think of as he's smoking this. It's obviously known that this is from 2012, so at that point, that was when that cigar kind of had its day in the sun, yeah. Oh, day in the sun.
Did you smoke that in 2012? To Beheke? He was seven. I did.
You were seven? Yes, he was seven. No, I did, I smoked it. And you liked it?
It's not worth it. It wasn't bad. It wasn't bad. Yeah, 'cause what are they, like a hundred bucks?
At that time, I can only imagine what they are now. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. How excessive they would be now.
Well, they're gonna come down soon 'cause 51st state Cuba. I could just smoke one of these. I'm gonna swing low on this. With the banana bread stuff.
I like banana bread. I'm gonna swing low on this. Swing low. Sweet cherry eyes.
I think you need to, I think you need a win, I think you need a win. Can you win most of the week? No. Oh, sorry, my, my apologies.
No. I think you need to, I think you could use a dub, and I'm gonna stretch the field a little bit. He's sick, you know, with the AIDS. Yeah.
And his, his ball trimming isn't going well. So you guys are pre-fixing the loss? Very bad Yelp reviews, I read them. No, I just, I think I'm gonna take a shot here.
I'm gonna take a shot. Take a shot. Take it. Take it.
Take the shot. It's up. Here it comes, ladies and gentlemen. It's coming.
It's up. I don't know, but it's hard to take a shot. It's hard to take a shot. So wait, are you saying you're taking a dive?
Oh, what I'm saying is, like, I think it did. I think it did bad. Yes. And I can conservatively Pick a number.
I feel like I could pick like a 78 and win. Right. But I think that it's lower than that. Right.
So... He hasn't said his yet, right? No, no. Yeah, I'm going first this time.
Oh, okay. So what I'm saying is, like, if I conservatively pick that number, I think I'm gonna win. You're gonna lob one up. And that's just easy, right?
But... Gonna swing with your eyes shut. I'm gonna hit it lower. So, how low do I want to go is the question.
Do I go on the '60s, Phil? What do you think? Sounds like a shitty cigar to me. I would guess '50s, '60s, yeah.
'50s, '60s. But who's the raider? He didn't talk about bad construction. Patrick LaGreid.
If he said bad construction, then I hit '50s. No, there's all flavor problems. Patrick's going to probably be in the '70s. Okay.
Unfortunately. All right. Well, now you're there. Okay, I'm gonna go 73.
Higher or lower? Hmm. What's it gonna be, Phil? Good.
Blink twice. For what? Higher. Now I'm blinking it on.
Now I can't blink. I just watched him blink. I'm gonna go 73. I'm gonna go 73.
Higher or lower? Hmm. What's it gonna be, Phil? God.
Blink twice. For what? Higher. Now I'm blinking it on.
I just watched him blink. Now I can't blink. 72. Ooh, he went lower.
Oh, he won. No, it's 73. What? Oh!
That's why I'm doing this. I'm like, can you see? Go ahead. Let's do a little comparison.
Can you see? No, I'm really. Dude, that was just luck of the draw. If you stood up, but...
That was a little comparison. Can you see? No, I'm really... Dude, that was just luck of the draw.
If you stood up, but... That was a little comparison. Can you see? No, I'm really...
Dude, that was just luck of the draw. If you stood up, but... That was his luck in the draw. Remember, he's got 20/20 vision.
Well, I know. That's what I mean. So if he stood up. I can't see anything.
No, you can't from that angle. I thought maybe, 'cause there's glass. No, there's not even glass there. I thought maybe from the side or something.
Reflection. No, can't from over there. But it was so weird. " I don't know.
Maybe the exact score that it is would be the good one to say. Well, I mean, that was just luck. Because realistically, I think that without doing that whole speech, I say 78, and I win, and he says 79. Ah.
Would you have said 79? No, because when he was at, he was already at like 70-something, weren't you, before that? No. No, no, you guys were all in the 80s.
I was in the 80s with the sourness. I was always gonna guess one lower than you, is what I was gonna do. Oh, so whatever he said, you were going one lower. Ah, so if that's the case then, if I had picked 78 or 79, then...
He would have won 77, and he would have won, and did you pick lower than me, or higher than, what did he pick? Lower 72. He went lower, and I thought it was, I thought that was a dub, that was a bold move, very bold, you're very bold, Princess Peach. Because I picked an older one, because the one today, I thought, well, maybe they've been reading the ones they're posting recently, because you guys have been getting too close to the real scores.
Who's been reading them? I said, I was thinking maybe, it's like, maybe I shouldn't keep doing the one they post that day. I don't think we have time to read these things. Dude, I mean, I changed in the parking lot.
Yeah, I know, I have some lovely photos, it's great. Oh, you took pictures? Yeah, I had photos. Did you really?
No, I didn't take photos. Yeah, he's gonna have you sign them. I didn't see you change your clothes, like, you changed your clothes in the parking lot. Yeah, I don't have, I mean, I just don't have time.
Now, if you pay for the Patreon for the full year, you get a signed naked picture of Mikey. You get a signed picture of Mikey in his underwear. Yeah. By the way, Ben would like his travel mug signed by the three of us.
Nice. We're going to have to do that before we ship. Ben... Will Helmy.
" Okay. All right. Well, this wraps it up. All right, guys.
This has been it. Thank you very much. Enjoy your Monday. Like and subscribe.
