ACHP Episode 556 I want Fries With That w/Law Ream Camacho

Episode Summary
Episode 556 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast welcomes back Law Ream (Bold Leaf Law), brand ambassador for Camacho Cigars, alongside hosts Mike Szczepinowicz and Mike Palmer. The trio opens with listener comments, in-studio phone sabotage, a running debate about who the best podcast host is (Jack Taranio of Espinosa apparently took the crown), and Law's upcoming rep travel through Virginia and North Carolina. Along the way they roast Davidoff office culture, EP Carrillo alumni turned sales reps, and each other.
The "Florida man" block covers a Central Florida IVF embryo mix-up at an Orlando fertility clinic that ended in a custody agreement, a man arrested in England for throwing a stranger's three-year-old into a zoo crocodile enclosure (sparking an alligator vs. crocodile aggression debate), a South Carolina Wendy's food-tampering arrest involving a drive-thru order pulled from the trash, and the 74-lash sentence handed to Iranian singer Parastoo Ahmadi for performing without a hijab.
Cigar news is the meat for enthusiasts: Law announces the Camacho Liberty 250, an event-only release you can only smoke by attending a Liberty event (locations listed in his Instagram bio). The crew also covers the Bolívar Evento 55 regional release for France, the Matilde Serena Perla 4x40 petit corona for Germany, and the two new Liga Tridente releases from Marlon Wayans — the Rosado Churchill (7x46, rosado oscuro wrapper, Criollo 98 binder, Colombian and Habano-seed filler, $16) and the Connecticut Robusto (5x50, $15) — with a frank discussion about celebrity cigar brands, appearance fees, and whether they actually last.
The Roma Craft segment breaks down the El Catador de los Gran Toros sampler arriving late November, built around a 6x54 toro extra across Aquitaine Cranium, Cro-Magnon PA Cranium, Intemperance BA XXI Treachery, Intemperance EC XVIII Fidelity, Intemperance WR 1794 Tully, Intemperance VO 1920, and two new smokes: Neanderthal Apex Predator and Cro-Magnon Visigoth (Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Indonesian Besuki binder, Jamastran and Condega fillers, 2,000 boxes). The show closes with "What's the Score," guessing Halfwheel's 2013 review of the Camacho Super Limitado 11/18 Perfecto — a cigar praised for vanilla, hazelnut, sweet cedar and hay notes despite a wrapper that literally fell apart, which still scored a 92.

And Mike Palmer, as we dive into the latest cigar... Hold on, I suck at using this in my room. As we dive into the latest cigar industry news... You're wearing fucking sunglasses, I mean like...
You can't see it anyway! Like, what are we doing? What are we doing? I'm a little rusty.

com, us, Cigar Hustlers Podcast, where all the Espinosa people buy and support. However, nobody at Davidoff does. Not a single person at Davidoff has a Patreon. He's probably best for you guys.
You don't want to know the shit we say about you anyways, you know. Maybe I would if I didn't get voted. If you didn't talk everyone down to making me the second best host of the year, maybe I would, you know. Who was the first best?
It was me until you guys went on the post-show, and then you convinced everyone else it was... Who was it? A fucking big Huggy Bear guy from Espinosa. Jack Taranio?
Jack Taranio, thank you. Big Huggy Bear. He's pretty good, yeah. com comments we got comments oh yeah we got some comments from the previous show i love some comments yes indeed let me see here well while you're looking up those comments i would tell me mikey uh he told john carney that i i'm good in this chair but i suck in his chair i did he did say that yeah it's true he had that comment looked Looks like he was reading it off.
It's true. It's not easy. Your chair's not easy. You know, thank you so much.
Thank you very much. That's very nice of you to say. All right. So, some comments from the previous show.
" I feel like that's fair. That's fair. And the grunting is actually a sign of him thinking. It's like a thing that he does, right?
The noise his brain makes when it runs. Yeah, he's still Cro-Magnon, he's not a full human. Correct. Small, two-cycle engine.
Yeah, exactly. He's not a homo sapien, he's Cro-Magnon. Yes, he is 100% Cro-Magnon. You can tell by how far his forehead sticks out from his eyes.
Right. Yeah. Even through the butterfly mask. He has a butterfly mask now?
Yes. And it's amazing. I thought you watched the show. He listens.
I listen. Oh, you listen. I'm a listener. He's a listener.
I'm an avid listener. And he only listens when he's about to come on the show, or when there's a guest. Or when I'm traveling across the country. In a yellow van.
I have like 40 hours of driving a week. Which you don't have anymore. No, so I don't listen anymore. How far is the drive for you into the office?
Two minutes. Ugh. Yeah. So it takes me like a month and a half to get through one episode.
Yeah, that's not going to work. That's not going to work. Michael Z, what? McTavish is officially 100 episodes behind.
He's officially 100? 100 episodes. Wow. Mm, incredible.
Slacker. Yeah. " Sounds about right. Yeah, I'm very jealous of the wisdom of not implementing the "where do I get some of that CH Pod swag stuff" mentioned that should have been.
It still got worked in, maybe I wanted to say it. I don't think that's the case. I think so. No.
You were always going to be sitting in that chair until right before the show started. You came in and threw my cup across the room. I threw it across the room. What is this doing here?
I just want you to know, five minutes in, and I already like you over there. You're already more aggressive. And we can hear what you're saying. Yeah, crystal clear.
You know what I say over there? This microphone sounds great compared to what we normally use. It's directly piped in. Wait till we get the, what are they called?
Sennheisers. Sennheisers. Sennheisers. Hypercardioid mics.
Yes. Yes. Hyper what? Hypercardioid.
Yes. Oh yeah, we need those. Yeah. I don't even know what that is.
It means that it has a very small cone of audio interception. Whose phone is going off in the studio audience? It's yours. It's not mine.
Mine's turned off and down. I've heard multiple beeps at this point. I know, so have I. It's not me.
I like that he's getting angry with our studio audience. It's probably... It's probably multiple audiences. It's probably Wasp.
Cigar Hustlers podcast filmed in front of a live studio audience. That's a video audience. And they don't know how to turn off their damn phones. That's Phil's problem.
From Deltona, Florida. That's not Daytona. This is like the half-retarded step-brother of Daytona. The epicenter of the cigar world.
Deltona. " Me too. I said the three of us would lift all day. We would do intervals.
Okay. He did say that. I listened to that episode. Thank you.
He did say that. He did say that. Yeah. I think the intervals we...
It's bench press, right? All day bench press? Yeah. Yeah, bench press all day.
Yeah, you guys should do like a telethon, raise funds for something. Yeah? Yeah. It's like bench pressing the entire day.
We get sponsors. Like a lift so that we can actually make money? A lift-a-thon. Yeah, for those Sennheiser mics.
We can't afford... We are at the point where we have enough for the Sennheiser mics. We're there. Or we get paid.
Or a possible check. I would like to thank you, Patreon members, so that Mikey can buy new mics every episode. And the CHPod swag members as well. That too.
You guys are awesome. " You know what a Luddite is? Is that, like, Phil? Uh, eh, kind of.
I don't know what that is either. So it's a person that is kind of like anti-tech, right? So I was talking about analog people and, like, people that want analog experiences still. Yeah.
And people that, you know, are fighting against certain advancements. Refuse to adapt. Yeah, I think that, but I'm not talking in reference of that level. Like, I think that there's people, am I bubbling?
Yeah, you're bubbling. Mm-hmm. See, this is why. All right, here come the, the, whatever those things were, the sandizers.
Yeah, there'll be one next week. Hold on. So, uh, where are you gonna be next week? This comes out on Monday.
Uh, I'm going to be in Virginia, uh, and North Carolina. What are the shops? I don't know. I'm going to be with our rep, Kara Lee.
She's a former CIA intelligence officer. She scares the shit out of me. Alleged. She's going to pick me up in the airport, throw me in the trunk, and wherever we show up, we show up.
That's how it works. That's fantastic. Yeah. She's scary.
Okay. Well, if you see Bob at Hogshead, just tell him that I miss him and I wish he would answer my calls. Or my calls. I mean, anybody.
Yeah. I hear he answers Roman Crafts Clause. Yeah. So...
Sounds liberal. Maybe. Okay, so, a Luddite is a person that's like anti-tech, right? Yeah.
But I don't necessarily, I don't think that that's going to be the case. I think that there are still some things that we can enjoy that are more analog-based. Kind of like, would you rather vape or smoke cigars? Right.
Because one's more digital than the other, clearly. Very. Right? Yeah.
Would you rather suck on a pouch like these Zinn guys? I don't think that. You do it, don't you? No, I don't.
But like 90% of the Davidoff office does. That is... Well, I'm shaking his head yes. Dude.
He just pointed to you. He laughed and he pointed to you. I don't fucking do those things. Really?
Yeah, really. Studio audience is interrupting our show here. Yeah, he's chiming in. Everybody wants to be part of the show.
Yeah. Hi, everybody. He's just jealous I mentioned our other rep. - Yeah, from Virginia.
- Michael Wasp, our West Coast Florida representative, is live in the audience. - He's West Coast? - Yes, West Coast. - Man, we suck then, 'cause we are so far East.
- I know, right? - How did you get us, if you're the West Coast guy? " - Yeah, Mike gets his leftovers. - That's probably how that played out, that makes sense.
Is that true, Mike? - No, you guys just always come with the package, you know? - Oh, we come with the package? - It doesn't matter how it changes, it just...
- It's still... - That's a good way to say what I just said. - Yeah, exactly. - That's a lot better that way.
" - He's a sales guy. - Yeah. - Actually, our East Coast rep, former president of EP Creo Cigars. That's how high up Davidoff is.
Like, you leave as president from one company, you just qualify as a sales rep for our company. - Yeah, that makes sense. " Yeah, right. You know?
So, what'd you do in your last job? I was the VP. Yeah. I was the president of EP, currently.
Yeah. " Yes. The Echo Halle, which we smoked on the Patreon. At Edward Sullivan says: "I am well aware of Hardcastle and McCormick.
" See? People know. Yeah, there was a handful of them. There was a handful of comics.
Have you ever heard of Hardcastle and McCormick? No. It's a TV show. Yeah.
And that helps any. So I watched the trailer for this show of Hardcastle and McCormick, and it seemed pretty lame. I'm not gonna lie. It was like...
It was good for the '80s. It was a standard '80s show. It was like a judge and this race car driver, and they're going after all the people, That he, when he was a judge, that like beat the system, and I was like, wait a second here, I don't need to go further into detail, but if somebody beat the system, why are we going after them? Yeah, that's, the system is designed, they were still guilty, yeah, whatever, they passed the whole thing, and that was in the 80s when you were like innocent till proven guilty, now you're guilty till proven innocent, but how many seasons do you think it had?
One, no, how many seasons do you think it had? I don't know, maybe four? No, it had three seasons. I was close.
But here's what's wild. How many episodes did you think it had? 67. I think that's exactly how many episodes it had.
Seasons were much longer back then. It had like 67 episodes total. Not that stupid six or seven episode seasons they do now. Yeah, instead of like nine episodes and then done.
Can you imagine? That's probably why it faded. People were like, oh, fuck, I missed. And there's no like VCRs and stuff.
Yeah. You missed an episode, and you have no idea what's going on, people would just get it, you know, like, oh, we got it. Well, except for the season finale, they would wind up the story on every episode. Right.
Oh, okay. And it always involved the car, the Coyote. You know, my grandfather owned four VCR repair shops. Did he?
And he made a fortune. Did he? Yeah, they're fronts for his cocaine smuggling business. Probably just resetting the clocks.
That's a true story. That's amazing. Nobody could reset the clocks in those things. My grandfather probably could.
Yeah, with cocaine. Yeah. He would just throw cocaine in the VCR. It's working great now.
Actually, everything plays super fast. " Michael Z. Cigar Guy says, "The boss seems a bit angry after his vacations. " Because they don't do it right.
Because you expect when you leave that everything kind of hums, right? That's what your expectation is. It's that you set the standard, and then the standard is met when you're not there, right? However, when I'm not here, the wheels fall off this motherfucker, right?
It's true, it's true. " These are the obvious things that should not happen. I don't know the hand signal means, data cache. Check the box.
Oh, check, forward. New comment. Oh, yeah, check the boxes. Check the boxes, right, you gotta check the boxes.
Oh, yeah. I just want to back up there. No, he's talking about you got to check the boxes of the tasks to be done. That's what he's saying.
At least that's how I took it. I just want to back up there. You said Epicurean Smokes comment is cool. That's what he said.
That's what he said. That's what qualifies to get on your show? I like Epicurean Smokes. I like him too.
He's a great guy. He's a good dude. He's a really good dude. Yeah.
So, if I see his name, I'm gonna read it out loud. Fair enough. I figured that that was the case, but terrible comment. Yeah.
Do better, Epicurean Smokes. Yeah, do better. Do better. Then check out his Instagram while you're out.
Great Instagram. Yeah. The latest in news in the cigar industry, Epicurean Smokes. If you want to hear your comment read aloud on the show, comment below, and I may or may not read it aloud.
If it's just one word and you're Epicurean Smokes, I may read it aloud. However, if you're somebody else, I could skip it. So, yeah, now we're ready to get on the show. Are you ready, Law?
I'm ready. Let's do this. Okay, let's go. Let's get past all the boring stuff and into the Florida man stories.
Yes. A Central Florida couple suing a fertility clinic over an embryo mix-up has reached a custody agreement with their baby girl's biological parents. According to the court documents, Stephen Mills and Tiffany Scorer gave birth to the girl in December after receiving IVF treatment through Fertility Center of Orlando, only to discover the child was not biologically represented. He related to them.
It was black. Genetic testing later. Well, it was, I think it was like Indian or something. Yeah, kind of Indian.
Oh, was it? Like, it was more brown. Very dark skin. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, but she was a pasty white couple. Yeah, she was a pasty white couple. The couple filed a lawsuit against the Longwood-based clinic earlier this year.
The lawsuit demands emergency relief. In April, the attorney representing Mills and Score confirmed to News 6 that the biological parents of the baby have been identified. According to the The paperwork, under the agreement, Mills and Score will have permanent legal custody of their daughter. Other details will remain private.
So they're keeping the baby. It's not theirs, but they're keeping it. Yeah, I mean, that's probably the practical thing to do, I would assume, you know? I mean, do you remember anything of, like, before you were, like, five years old?
Do you have any memories before five years old? Uh, maybe a couple things. Nothing... I feel like if they switched parents, the baby would have no idea.
But maybe they've, you know, grown love to this kid. But they've identified the real parents, you don't think they would love that kid too? If you were the real parents, wouldn't you want your baby back? I would.
But they apparently agreed to this. It sounds like they may get visitation, because it just says they had permanent custody, but they came to an agreement. You know, yeah, I'm going to check in, take them to SeaWorld, something like that. Right.
This is aunt and uncle Amar or something. See, I'd struggle with that. See, here's my take on it. For one, I'm keeping the one that I have that doesn't match me.
And then I'm taking yours, too. The one that is mine. You get nothing. Well, it's not necessarily the other people have theirs.
Yeah, exactly. So, like... I mean, the other people might not have gone through the process yet. I'm not figuring out, because I'm taking possession of this child, this child is mine, and I'm also taking possession of the child that is mine that you currently have.
Yeah. That's where I'm at. And it's an obvious legal precedence that has been a well-known legal precedence called finders, keepers, losers, weepers. I've heard about that, yeah, yeah, under the clause of finders, keepers, losers, sweepers, I claim thy child.
And the precedent set by, yes, yes, but now they're, uh, they're suing, since they sued the other, I took some, some details, like it was a long story, they're getting a new IABF thing, or whatever it's called, uh, paid for by the Longwood organization at a different place of their choosing. Oh, they're covering it? Yes, they have to cover the expense of a new baby that we're gonna make. Do you think that they go in and they try and negotiate the deal?
Like, "I know how much this shit costs. " Oh, the other organization? Yeah, yeah. I know what the markup is here.
Yeah. Like, you're getting this done for like 20 bucks. I'm not spending nine grand. Meanwhile, this clinic's getting all the publicity.
Right. Oh, they're shut down. Yeah, there's no way that anybody's going on this place. There's no way that they're going back there.
You think so? This is the Roll the Dice Babymaker Company. Could be yours. Could be someone else's.
Wait and see at the end. It's a surprise. It's a surprise. Who knows?
Okay. All right. So, what's the next show? Well, let's skip this part because Palmer jumped ahead.
Yeah. By the way, boom. Yeah. Courts record, state of their provider, contact the Fertility Clinic of Orlando.
Fertility Clinic of Orlando. That is the one they choose now to freeze their embryos at for future babies. They should get the publicity. Yeah.
And they did just now because of you. So many people that are worried about babies now know where to go in Orlando, because of Law Ream of Camacho. And the Fertility Clinic of Orlando will be genetically testing the embryos before next steps are determined. Which is fantastic.
Which probably should have been a process the entire time. Hey, let's make sure we check it this time, Doc. What do you say? Kind of like checking lights before you go on the show.
Hey guys, we're in the red this year. We're gonna have to skip a couple steps and hopefully it pans out. Yeah, exactly. Just flip.
Or do you want to do it? Go ahead. Well, I don't know why you're on me. This too.
Whose phone is that? We still don't know whose phone that is. I bet you there's a phone stuck in the chair, unless it's Wasp. Okay, hold on, I'm gonna check.
I'm gonna check right now. God damn it. I'm willing to bet that there's a phone in there. There were two guys down here most of the day.
Nothing? Well, the phone is being searched for this podcast brought to you by Camacho. If you don't smoke Camacho, fuck you. Nothing?
Nothing. Interesting. They're tearing up the studio right now. There's nothing there.
You think John Carney left it here so he could sabotage all of the podcasts? I don't know. Yes. He just calls it, it answers, and then he goes...
I am superior. Ding. Okay, all right. You think Down to Herf is trying to sabotage you guys?
No, no. No, they don't have enough listeners anymore. Yeah, we're already surpassing them, we're already blowing them out of the water. Love you guys.
Love you. Good job, guys, with your 20. You know what's funny, dude? It's definitely your phone.
It's definitely your phone, because I'm getting texts. Text Palmer right now, see what happens. Yeah. Let's get down to the box.
He's gonna put it on vibrate right now. It's on vibrate. Hold on. And the volume's turned down.
Oh. What is that noise when you text him? What is that? It says boss.
It's one of the minions. It says boss! Oh, okay. I don't know what else to do.
It's all the way down. Oh, my God. I'll just turn it off. Boomers.
Boomers. Oh, wait. What's that? What's that technology people thing?
Yeah. Ludicrate. Ludicrate. Ludicrous.
Ludicrous. How funny is that? He was bitching the whole time. He was bitching the whole time, and now he can't even flip code to people back and forth.
I wonder if it's connected to the board. It's not. We would have heard it in our headphones. It was turned all the way down.
And it's still not his fault. I'm not saying it was, I don't know why it happened. It's still, it's the board's fault, it's something, it's the phone, this damn phone's-- I'm just trying to figure out why it did it. It's broken.
So it doesn't do it again. Because you gotta turn on the silent mode. It is on silent mode. I don't believe you.
There's a physical switch. On the side, right here, that's flipped to the back. It's flipped back. If there's like a little sand in there, it won't work.
It could be, Sandy. Is it off? Yeah, it's turned all the way off. Oh, great.
You wanna text him again? Now, let me tell you how this plays out. Yeah. Okay.
So, now, within the next 30 to 45 minutes, his wife is gonna call him or text him, and he's not gonna respond. " No, she didn't talk to her right before I got here. Well, it's fitting, since he has the accountability of a wife. Yes.
Yeah. It's true. In England, it may have been... Okay, so anyways, what's going on in England?
What's going on in England? Tell me, Law. In England, a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a three-year-old boy was left with critical injuries after ending up in a zoo's crocodile enclosure. What?
Yeah. Who does that? Right? There's got to be better ways to get rid of babies in a public zoo.
Yeah, you would think daycare, there's got to be better options in England. Nobody's there, though. Everybody's with the World Cup, you know, they're traveling, you know, babysitter's out of town. Let's leave them with the crocodiles.
Right? All right, go ahead. Sorry. Sorry.
The funny, funny part is crocodiles aren't that aggressive. Alligators are extremely aggressive. Alligators are more aggressive than crocodiles? Yeah.
Alligators are, like, solo creatures, and crocodiles, they live, like, in large groups. They get along with each other. Oh, they're, like, buddies? Yeah.
" Yeah, they're social. Yeah. Like, alligators, like, one will live in an area. If another one comes in its territory, it'll murder it.
Really? Yeah. Oh, that's amazing. So when the population gets too high here in Florida, they're going to start killing each other all?
So this guy was dumb enough to try and murder his baby, but didn't know which species of dinosaur to throw his baby into it. Oh, it wasn't his baby? It wasn't his baby. Oh, just tell us the story.
Just tell us the story. Well, just sort of like you do when I read the intros. Yeah, this is good. Yeah.
Go ahead. No, I'm not being rude. I'm telling you. Click to you.
Hit the button. The guy picked up the baby and threw it in. It's not his baby. There's no association with the baby.
It's like he just wanted to see what would happen. He just grabbed a random person's baby? So he reached next to him and grabbed someone's baby. And threw it in.
Wow. The owner's wife of the zoo jumped in after the kid. But the kid got bit by one of the crocodiles. Is the kid okay?
He's in stable condition at the hospital. You mean the man that threw the baby after everyone beat his ass, right? No, they arrested him immediately. How do we not throw that guy over?
Yeah, how do you not throw him in there? Exactly. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I read this three times because I thought he dropped his baby or the baby fell in.
No, he picked it up and tossed it. Right. Did the crocodiles go near the baby, or did they just leave it? No, one of them attacked the baby.
Oh. Yeah, I mean, it's small enough. The aggressive one. Yeah.
The one that's aggressive. The alpha crocodile. Right, the alpha crocodile. In the area said, hey, check this out.
Hold my beard. Hey, look at this. What is this thing coming in here? Let's drink this baby.
Turns out I was very wrong about that. Look at this large piece of chicken they threw in here. Yeah, I think that, I mean, I think that what you're saying is like, like, habitation-wise, I could see that, where they get along. However, the crocodile themselves are more aggressive.
Like, if you jumped into, like, water and an alligator and a crocodile were both at the same spot, I got a feeling the crocodile would attack you faster. Hmm. You know what I mean? We're going to have to look into this.
I'm curious. All right. We'll find out right now. All right.
Which animal is more aggressive? Alligators or crocodiles? Crocodiles are typically more aggressive than alligators. This is from Britannica.
From Botanica. This is why I'm an ambassador. They can't trust me with anything important. This is why I have scorpion on my head.
Scorpions, though, are perfectly fine. Very friendly animals. Okay. Put them on your shoulder, pet them.
No problem. I mean... Now look up and see how aggressive scorpions are. You sounded very convincing, right?
I believed it. That's why I work in marketing, because I believe all the bullshit that comes out of my ass. There you go. And you're doing a great job.
Thank you. They love me there. I'm really good at it. Who's not?
Well, yeah, what's not to love? Yeah. Do you ever hear? I mean, so you understand that Jack Taranio outranked you in this whole thing, right?
But do you know that repetitively, I have said, if there's someone to hire in the cigar industry, it's law, by far? Like, I'd say that over and over again. Okay, so he's the best co-host, but I'm the more hireable one. As far as essential, yeah.
Like, you're a cog, a significant cog in the machine, and you far exceed your value. value i've been called worse thank you yeah you're welcome yeah okay all right carry on crocodile over let's see the zoo oh you don't want to go through the rest the trick is to fast forward while he's talking so when you don't there's all there's all types of techniques here the it was a guy from norfolk virginia that did it oh is american yeah 30 year old man from norfolk has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder it happened in england i feel there's a norfolk do they have a norfolk i i would yeah i would assume so i don't think he traveled all the way over there oh hold on you know what you know where i should go i should go to england is there a norfolk in england let's see i don't know where you are no no is there a place called norfolk in england a city yes okay it doesn't it won't talk now yeah i can't hear it it's being recorded it's That's very shy. I can't talk. I don't want to...
Let's see. The force said it was investigating whether the child was attacked by the animals. They don't know. No, in another story on Yahoo, it said the baby was.
Go to you. There's a lot of different information. It depends on which story you get and how far they've gone down the rabbit hole. It's just like any other media source.
Everything's mixed and inaccurate. It's just a question of what the ratings are and, you know. And, you know, he's reading BBC News, Yahoo, which I think is the American one was had a lot more information. Yahoo?
Yahoo. Yahoo. Who uses Yahoo anymore? Who uses a search engine anymore?
You can't believe the amount of things I have to read for this show. He gets a lot of his stuff from AOL News. Have you heard of AOL? Yeah.
Yeah. My mom still has an AOL email address. Does she? We have a customer that still does.
Oh, there's a bunch of customers that still have the AOL. Even retailers. Yeah, it's a retailer. Yeah.
Is it keeping AOL alive? Those customers? Does Time Warner still own it? I don't think so.
I'm not looking that one up. I've already exceeded my AI questions. Not that interesting, anyway. Yeah.
This is, however... Okay, tell me. Two people have been arrested in an alleged food-tampering incident reported at a Wendy's in Union. Whether that's in America, or I don't know.
That's in America. Okay. Say, Wendy's is your favorite... Wendy's is my favorite fast food.
If it's in parentheses, it's a direction, not a thing you read. Damn it, Law. Wendy's is my least favorite fast food. Yeah?
After you read the story. Taco Bell is above Wendy's? Absolutely. 100%.
Okay, hold on. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Arby's is above Wendy's? Yes.
Slightly. It's just above. It's like right there? What's the star one called?
What's the star? Arby's. Carl's Jr. Carl's Jr.?
They're the same. They're the same company. It depends on what part of the country you're. West Coast or East Coast.
Okay, so Carl's Jr. above? Yes. Just above Arby's.
Wow. Jersey Mike's? Way above. Not even close.
They're like top 10 maybe. Subway? Just above. Just above?
Yeah. With the whole Jared thing kind of weird. Jersey Mike's is the number one one now. I know.
Okay. Okay, continue. It's number one for a little bit. So what happened?
They got it bought out by a hedge fund too. Yeah, tell us. Is that really what happened? Yeah.
They're gonna be ruined soon. Oh, okay. Yeah. I already noticed it going downhill.
You get less meat already. That's your theory? Yeah. Okay.
19-year-old Trinity Lachelle Rice of Union was arrested Tuesday, and 23-year-old Aaliyah Shantai Saunders was arrested Wednesday by the Union Police Department. Both were charged with malicious tampering with human food. The charges stem from an incident on Friday, May 30th, at a Wendy's located on 509 North Duncan Bypass, where a customer reported her food was allegedly spat in. Uh-oh.
The Union Police Department began investigating after being informed on Tuesday, June 2nd about the incident. A customer reported she ordered her food in the drive-thru and encountered an issue leading to her to ask for a refund for the food after it was taken back. Staff then told the customer her order had been remade and she left the restaurant. While the customer was consuming the remade food, she received a phone call from someone at the store advising her not to eat the food.
How did they get her phone number? Yeah, no kidding. I was wondering that too. How did they get the phone number?
Yeah. Wendy's, are you collecting data you shouldn't be collecting? shouldn't be collecting right somebody must have known them yeah it sounds like yeah why would you spit in a random customer's food there's gonna be a little bit animosity there yeah there's there's more to the story than what meets the eye the caller reportedly told the customer that someone had spit in her food and removed it from a trash can oh so they pulled it out of the trash and spit in it and then served it to her nice it's got levels to it it's got layers yeah she really hated her kind of like a wendy's bacon cheeseburger which does not sponsor this sponsor this podcast Not a sponsor of this podcast. Because it's terrible food.
We don't have a sponsor. We refuse. That's right. That's right.
We can't be held down by the man. That's why we can make fun of, you know... Everybody. EPC.
Yeah. The rice president. The customer then noticed that the remade food she received was actually her previous order, according to the police report. The customer subsequently called the store and spoke with the manager.
The manager reportedly confirmed that the alleged actions after the speaking with other employees and reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, The report said, the manager, the report said, the manager also informed the customer that the employees who were identified from the video were written up. That's it? Yeah, they didn't get fired, they just wrote them up. Don't worry, don't worry, we took care of them, we gave them a reprimand.
Times are tough on them. It's gotta be hard to find people to work for like $9 an hour. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? " She was good with it.
Right, so what was wrong with it the first time where she didn't notice the second time the same thing was wrong with it? I said no pickles? I don't know. Oh, they just took the pickles off?
Yeah. Take the pickles off and spit in it. Dude, you know, like, you can't, listen, you cannot mess with somebody who makes your food, especially on that level. Right, exactly.
That's a huge mistake. It's a rookie move. If you, you know, you order the bacon cheeseburger, and it comes and it's a little fucked up, and it's like, mm, you just gotta take it. Yeah, you just gotta take it.
There's no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger? I'm just eating the cheeseburger? There's no burger on your cheeseburger? Just the way you go.
Yeah. Yeah, no, that's... 'Cause they F you in the drive-thru. This is even better.
Reportedly, one of the women involved in this was a on-duty manager, one of the spitters. Oh. So they've been there for a while. That's why they didn't want to get rid of them.
Right, that's why she reprimanded herself. Yeah, 'cause, well, they probably... Yeah, you know what, I'm gonna write them up. I'll write myself up, and you, Lawanda, or whatever she said her name was.
What state is Union in? Because they were arrested, according to the teleprompter, and their bail is $20,000 bond. It's gotta be like New York or... Yeah, after the lady complained, they went back and arrested her.
No reprimand was enough. Yeah, but like, sometimes murderers have to pay a $10,000 bond in New York, so... No, they let the murderers out, you know, after... I lied, I actually love Wendy's, and I hate Culver's.
No, you're supposed to say you like color. I know, but I already said I hate Wendy's, so I had to reverse it. Oh, okay. He's looking up Union.
Yeah, Union I think is in a bunch of places. Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri. It's North Carolina, you should go there next week when you're there. New York, Connecticut, he's going to Virginia.
Oh, he should go to Virginia, there's one there too. And also North Carolina. Ohio, and then there's Union City, New Jersey. I'm actually flying into Norfolk.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. And then I fly out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Okay.
Yeah. Nice. Very exciting stuff. Um, next story?
Yes. All right. I think that we covered that pretty thoroughly. The Iranian singer Parastu Amadi and eight members of a production team, including musicians, have been reportedly sentenced to 74 lashes for performing in a concert live streamed on Amadi's YouTube channel in 2024.
According to court documents, the criminal court of Qom, Qom, Qom, Qom, Providence, sentenced the artist to flogging, a two-year ban on leaving the country, and a two-year ban on engaging in artistic activities on the charges that include offending public decency through the production and publication of vulgar and immoral content online. This is probably why the Strait of Hormuz is closed again. God. All because she didn't wear the head wrap.
Is that why? That's what she did wrong. Wow. I mean, apparently it's a big deal over there, you're gonna get whipped 74 times.
Do I even have a purpose here? Yes, you do. Yes, yes. I thought that was already mentioned in the story, I thought you went over it.
No, you didn't say that yet. No, we have not gotten to that yet. Oh, sorry. So anyways, read on.
I'll act suppressed. Well, I'll act suppressed. Yeah. Although the official judiciary news agency has yet to publish a ruling, rights groups and lawyers who received the documents said the pattern of arrests and legal cases against artists are publicly defying the regime reflects a broader effort Broader Effort to Deter Cultural Dissent.
" Can you sing a few words first? Yeah, do you know that song? Do you know that song? Is that part of your workout routine?
Who doesn't know that? Some of you listen to? Everyone knows that song. On your workout.
" I feel like they're bleeding. " She sang the song without a hijab in a live stream performance that went viral. Oh my God. What?
Really? Yeah. No way. That's why.
Is that the thing on her head? Yeah. Oh my goodness. It's very hard to go from the seat where you know everything to the seat where you're not supposed to know anything.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Even though you typed everything.
Right. That's what I mean. Normally, I know everything. Or copy to paste it.
But if you were sitting over here, why wouldn't you just, why wouldn't you know all that stuff and you can kind of keep it moving? But you don't. If I was sitting over there? Yeah, you just sit still and you don't say much.
Because Carney drags on. Carnie really likes to talk. Carnie, Carnie does. That's why he's not above you.
Well, that's right. That's right. Well, I mean, we did 30 minutes on a 10-minute... I'm like the Arby's and Carnie is the Wendy's.
That gets spat in. Yeah. I would say you're more like Burger King, you know what I mean? Like, not quite McDonald's, right?
You know, like... Everybody likes it, but nobody really goes. Like, I would go there if there was no other option. Right, if the line at McDonald's is too long, you go to Burger King.
I'd get the Whopper. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm guessing Taranio is McDonald's.
Taranio is by far McDonald's. Yeah. Yeah. Good customer service.
Excellent food. It's great. FIFA cups right now. I can't even deny that.
Like, Jack is just a great guy. He really is. He really is. And he subscribes to the Patreon.
Yeah. And he's a Patreon. And all his employees. Yeah.
And he's forced off. He makes them. If they don't, he yells at them. Yeah.
Thank God. What do you mean we're in your car and I can't listen to the show? Exactly. I love it.
The performer was briefly detained with several musicians shortly after they were released upon being freed. That's how releasing works. Authorities later filed a formal case over the publication of the video, which has since accumulated millions of views on YouTube. Bahar Gandhari Darari, the director of the advocacy at the US-based Center for Human Rights in Iran, said: Amadi's punishment of 74 Lashes for merely singing and appearing without a hijab is yet another reminder that human rights conditions in Iran have not changed, despite the Iranian authorities' wartime propaganda campaign aimed at improving their image.
Yeah, I mean, like, you know, if you're trying to improve your, 74 seems a little over the top, you know what I mean? It's not like they do it in secret, I mean, they drag you out and put you up in the middle of the street. And beat the piss out of you. And it's her and her entire band's gonna get it.
Right, 74 across all? Everybody gets 74. And everybody gets 74. That's the way it reads.
Some people would pay good money for that treatment. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah.
Right. Yeah. Somewhere in New York City. Somebody's doing it right now.
Yeah. Is it really? Yeah. Great.
Mikey. Yes. Do you have a video for us? I do not have a video today, sir.
The fuck? Yeah. What do you mean? I was told that I didn't have to worry about that.
Well, the teleprompter is telling me that you did. I said I wouldn't ask. Oh. So you purposely set it up like that.
Got it. Got it. " That's what's going down in New York. Imagine getting the first base and then getting denied.
Yeah. It's wild. It's confusing. Yeah.
When did that happen? Well, she's giving him mouth-to-mouth already. Oh, it's true. It's first base.
Yeah. Yeah. And then not, and then it not working out. Yeah.
He must have been a bad kisser. Yeah, I mean, he's like, you know? He's like a starfish. Dead fish.
You're like a dead fish. Dead fish. Starfish. Starfish.
So close. He was so close. He's like a starfish. He's like a starfish.
You break off a piece, you grow back. You know, it's so crazy. It's like no one's phone's been going off for the past five or ten years. I turned mine off.
Sorry, very busy man. There's a lot going on today. Isn't that wild? I don't know why with the volume and it turned off.
I'm surprised it's still not going on. Okay. Would you guys like some cigar news? We are ready.
Yeah, I guess. We are ready for the Cigar News. Anything from Camacho? No?
No, nothing from Camacho. The Camacho Liberty 250! It's now available. It is now available, event only, amazing cigar.
It's event only? It's event only. We are jumping on the hype train of the 250s. Yeah, it's very catchy.
Yeah, like John Carney said, everybody should do it. It's working well. He's right. He's not wrong, I guess.
I heard that episode four days ago, so we made a cigar two days ago. There you go. It's amazing. It's the best 250 of all the 250s.
well second i don't think so yeah yeah wait till you smoke it it's really good i'm smoking it i would show you that i'm sorry right now however you probably can't see and with wearing those sunglasses even though i'm like three or four feet away from you who said that exactly where's that voice coming from exactly ray child's over here okay go to cigar news bolivar evento 55 coming to france in mid-july exciting stuff i bet your audience loves learning Oh, oh, oh. Not French, not going to France, we don't care. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. There you go. Thank you for putting my thoughts on the teleprompter.
That's pretty impressive. Read it with a little more oomph next time, though. Yeah, I mean, we really need to deliver. I'm not French.
Yeah. I'm not French. I don't live in France. never going i don't care we call them freedom fries here yeah america america okay all right good matilde serena perla goes on sale in germany oh i'm not in germany don't plan on going i don't care wow we just told them a little more oomph but still yeah still just kind of still just kind of the matilde serena this is why you're number two at best possibly number three after this one you know, dropping down.
Jack doesn't have that much emphasis when he tells stories. He does. He yells at us between stories, though. Yeah.
This is what you want me to read? He does have that silky smooth voice. He does. That velvety voice.
Right. And his glasses you can see through the glass and see his eyes. Yeah. Yeah, he's got nerd glasses.
I have douche glasses. Correct. We're not the same. We're not the same.
I'd love if Jack comes in next time, sunglasses, a solid colored shirt, and a big chain. Mattilde Serena line has a new Vitola, the blend's smallest size to date. I love bragging about small sizes. Yeah.
It's the Mattilde Serena Perla. Make some pivot at home. A 4x40 Petite Corona. Not German, not going to Germany.
We don't care. Mattilde is still going to Germany? He read the same story again. Oh.
Well, actually, I said that because of the previous one, but he actually put it on the Vitola property. Oh, did you? Now I'm reading his mind. Wow.
This is next level stuff that's going on right now. Liga Tridente's Rosado Churchill and Connecticut Robusto arrive at stores. The two newest cigars from Liga Tridente, the brand started by entertainer Marlon Waynes. Yeah, this is the Marlon Waynes guy.
Have begun arriving at retailers across the country. Yeah. If you'd like him to show up with the cigars, there is a huge appearance fee involved. And you can get me for a Camacho event, basically for the cost of a Wendy's burger.
Fuck you Mike. By the way, we have your burger. Yeah, it's upstairs as soon as we're done. That's why Greg just will have to go get the burger.
I hope it's Burger King Whopper. Have you had the Liga Chidente? No. I have not.
Have you? No, I haven't. No. I haven't heard great things, unfortunately.
What was the cigar shop we were at yesterday? Oh my gosh. Oh, it's so long ago. What's that?
Cigar Cave. Cigar Cave. Oh, Cigar Cave. I'm sorry, the one before that.
Oh, God. Oh, man. Cigar something. We're looking at my gloss right now.
Richie's Place. No, World Famous. World Famous. World Famous.
You can learn a thing or two from them. Okay. Hot bartenders. Yeah.
I mean, smoke shows. Right. I mean, we've had Jake upstairs. Yeah.
Well, get him a bikini top. He looks like Justin Anders. Yeah. They did a Marlon Wayans event, and they said he hung out until like 3 in the morning.
Really? Well, from what they paid, he should have been there longer. Yeah, I wonder what the price was. Do you know what the fee is?
Jack told us. Was it? Well, you shouldn't ever give up your sources. I didn't say which one.
Is Espinosa making that cigar? No. No. Who is Dominican?
I don't know. Liga Tridente sounds Dominican. Yeah. m.
You think he sold a bunch of stuff? No idea. Probably. You were at the store.
You didn't say how was the event? No. All they talked about was Marlon Wayans. They didn't talk about the cigar or the event.
They're just like, yeah, he hung out. He was cool. Oh. Okay.
I don't want to hang out with anybody. I just want to sell cigars. Like, you know, that's... We're lucky he's here this late.
Yeah, that's kind of what's important to me. When you make a lot of money doing other things, you don't care about selling cigars. I guess that's a fair point. Does he own the company?
Who? Marlon Wayans. Marlon Wayans. Yeah.
Or is it a celebrity collab? No, I think, I think he owns it. Okay. I think.
You'd think you'd want to sell something. Yeah. Hmm. Who knows?
No idea. Could be anybody. You know, celebrity cigars, they're known for success. Yeah.
Yeah, they are. The first new release is the Liga Trenente Rosado Churchill, a 7x46 Vitola, which uses a Rosado Ascuro wrapper, a Criollo 98 binder, and fillers from Colombia, alongside a Habano Seed Varietal. Other than disclosing the Columbian tobacco and the filler, the origins of the other tobaccos isn't being disclosed. Yeah, the hard part about this, man, is that there's so many people that are just ready to kind of take your money in this industry and not really create a… Yeah.
You know what I mean? Yeah. " Okay, like, the packaging looks good, but this is… I know where this is going, and it's not gonna be good. Dude, the packaging on the Car Malone box won awards.
It was amazing. - Amazing. - Right. Died out in like a year.
Damn. Yeah. I mean, you know, that stuff's wild. It had that basketball texture on the box, it was really cool.
Yeah. And that was cooked. Mm-hmm. Mm.
It's a damn shame. 20 for a box of $20. And he wasn't at PCA this year, right? He was.
He was there? Yeah. He was on stage with Erik Espinosa. Oh, was he?
Yeah. When was that? The thing that everyone gets to go to except for the exhibitors in the beginning. because we're busy yeah setting things up yeah well i had a fever so pca is yeah you were pretty i saw you there you were pretty pretty under the weather yeah yeah it was unfortunate yeah still brought it though with the little debbie's thing in fact is that why i was hosting the podcast because you were still sick um i don't know what was it there did you host a podcast no afterwards oh i was in that chair boots was over here yeah i think you were you were no no No, because you were better in the way home.
Me and Greg got sick. That was way after that. Yes, I started to recover. Hmm.
No. He was maybe a sports thing or something. Yeah. Okay.
That makes sense. We like to plug you in from time to time. However, you're not doing great. You're doing just okay at this point.
I need you to bring the heat. You know? Let's go. Shipping alongside that is the Liga Trente Connecticut Ramuso, a 5x50 Batol that uses Connecticut Seed Wrapper, Costa Recombinder, and Broadleaf Criollo 98 Fillers.
Again, much of the blend's origin is not being disclosed. For some reason, It is priced at $15 per cigar, or $300 for a box of 20. Both cigars are regular production editions and produced at an undisclosed factory in Donnelly, Honduras. Oh, we're gonna have to add the fries.
It's not even DR, it's Honduran. Honduran makes the best cigars, everyone knows that. Camacho. I understand.
I know where you're going with that. Plasencia. Aladino. CLE.
Rocky. Oscar Valladares. Oscar Valladares is there? I'm still afraid of him.
Don't insult him. Yeah, we're not going to say anything. Oscar? He's a sweetheart.
Yeah, but he's got connections. Yeah, scary. Like deadly connections? Yeah.
Allegedly, we're not talking about it. We're not talking about it. It's fine. Oscar's great.
We love you, Oscar. Are you guys okay? Oscar, we love you. Are you guys okay?
Is everything okay? Everything's fine. Everything's fine. We don't make fun of him.
Yeah. Is that why you locked the door when I came in? Of course. No, we locked the door because, you know, we're going to, yes.
Okay. We're gonna yes. He's always been nice to me. Oh, he's been super nice to us, but he's told some stories where you might want to, you know, rethink if you're gonna say something bad.
Yes, you should probably always say nice things about him. I'm doing pretty good so far. Yeah. Romacraft to backslate El Catador de los Gran Torros for November.
For November. Yes. Okay. Roma Craft Tobac will release a new sampler full of toros, a very special size that no one uses, two of which will be new, the El Catedor de los Gran Toros follows in a long line of El Catedor samplers from Roma Craft.
A long line of samplers? Yeah. He has a long line of El Catedor samplers. He does.
Yeah, he's made them from time to time. Okay. Yeah. Different sizes.
That's pretty cool. That's a bragging point. As it has done in the past, the samplers will contain each of the company's blends in a single Vitola, this time it's a 6x54 Toro Extra, Toro Extra Vitola. 5x54 Bellicoso Vitola in its 4 Intemperance blends with the Toro.
As for the sampler, it will include the following: Acquintanie, Cranium, Acquintane, Acquintane. This is amazing. I'm just watching you murder this. This is hilarious.
Aquitaine Cranium. Aquitaine Cranium, yes. Cro-Magnon PA. Cranium.
Cro-Magnon Visigoth. Alicuris. Alaric. Alaric.
Alaric. This is great. Intemperance BA, 11. Treachery.
Okay. Intemperance EC, 18. Fidelity. This is awesome.
Did you have to use all rubbing numerals? This is so great. Intemperance WR 1794 Tully. Intemperance VO 1920.
Fioradio Lagarda. Oh, God. I didn't think it could get better, and here we are. Neanderthal Apex Predator.
The two new cigars are the Neanderthal Apex Predator. Apex Predator. Apex Predator. The Apex.
And Cro-Magnon Visigar. You couldn't even say Apex right. It's an English word. Jeez Louise.
Cro-Magnon Visigar. They're all English words. I mean, I'm one to say about mispronouncing, but I get the English words right. They're all English words.
It's the glasses, I can barely see. Yeah. The Cro-Magnon Visigoth is an upcoming line that is also slated to arrive in 2026. The company says it is the conclusion to its Cro-Magnon brand and named after the Visigoth people who are most famous for sacking rum in 410.
Blend-wise, it uses a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra seed wrapper over an Indonesian Basuki binder and Creole and Creole fillers from the Hamastran Valley in Honduras, the most amazing tobacco producing country in the world, and from Condega, Nicaragua. How do you get this band off? Oh, there it is, okay. Pricing has not been announced, but production will be limited to 2,000 boxes.
Skip Martin, co-founder of Roma - who's the other founder? I thought it was just Skip. Michael Rosales. Oh, okay.
That sounds very common knowledge. Let's think about this. Yes. It's called Ro and Ma.
Yeah. Michael Rosales and Skip Martin, M-A, Ro, Ma. Oh. Very creative.
See that? Yes. And I guess they craft cigars. Is that where that word came from?
Yes. Yeah. Fancy. Uh-huh.
That is fancy. Well, those two told Half Wheel that the El Catedor de los Gran Toros is scheduled to arrive in late November. There you go. Can we get to the industry's favorite game so I can stop murdering this stuff?
Yes. Yeah, we can. It is the industry, cigar industry's favorite game, What's the Score? Epic fail on Michael Palmer.
I'm having to turn my phone back on. Why are you turning it on? What are you worried about? Because I have the what's the score.
Oh. I couldn't make it and let him read it. Ah. Does he get to say how we play or no?
No, I was doing that too. Oh, is it on there? I think it is. Yeah, it's on there.
Go ahead. Players hear clues from a half-wheel cigar review and try to predict the score before it's revealed. As more details are shared, the challenge gets easier, or does it? The closest guess to the actual score wins the round.
Can you read between the lines and predict the score? We will find out. Palmer. What the fuck?
What was that? Do you have a vacuum on a remote? Do you want to see what it is? Yes.
Do you want me to turn them on real quick? Yes. Go ahead. Flip, flip, flip to me there, Mr.
Palmer. Oh, they gotta heat up. They gotta heat up. You'll see.
You have a fog machine? No, no. Did you try to activate a fog machine? It's not a fog machine.
Do you have, what is it called, cold sparks? They're not that cold, I can tell you that much. I put them close to the chair. Let's burn this bitch down.
They burn my head all the time. Is it ready? Yeah, yeah. Well, it's still heating up.
It'll be ready by the time... I'll tell you what, if I win or if I lose this time, I'm gonna hit it for you. Just so you can see it? Yeah.
Alright, you guys ready? I only hit it when I win. Well, you just hit it and nothing happens. Oh, I turned it on.
Oh, that was it turning on? Yeah. You gotta charge it. Oh, that sounds very intense.
It is pretty intense. Okay. We're all gonna die tonight. That's why you locked the door.
Yes. It's a fire hazard you can't leave. This just reset all the way to the top. Because you got to the end.
Well, you don't need it anymore. Palmer, do you have a cigar for us? Yes, here we go. It's gonna be a Camacho.
Certainly. First cigar, January 5th, 2013. Brian Burt is the reviewer. The cigar is the Camacho Super Limitado.
72. Okay. Oh, you want to say it again? Sorry, I was waiting on him to go first.
Yeah, no, do you want to go first? 72. Okay, I'm going to say 81. I figured that far back he wouldn't know.
Yeah. No, I've never heard of that cigar. Okay, the cigar reviews the Camacho Super Limitando from Honduras. Factory is Tabaco Rancho Hamistrand.
Rancho Hamistrand. Rancho Hamistrand. At least I say Jamistrand. The Vusagal, the Apex Prater.
That's how it cracks better. Wrapper is Honduran, binder Honduran, filler Honduran. It's a six by, oh, it comes in three sizes, a 48, a 52, and a 48. No.
No. It does not. A 48 and a 48? There's three ring gauges.
Yes, there's three ring gauges because it's like a Figurato. It bows up and then comes down. Oh, it says it's a Perfecto. Look at you.
Is it the 11 by 18 Perfecto? It's something like that, yeah. Or the Perfecto 11-18? It's a, yeah, 11-18 Perfecto.
Correct, yeah. All right. All right. Oh, it comes in three different sizes.
Act like you're in the industry, for the love of God. Can we don't make one like this? My God. They made 333 cigars.
No, they didn't. No, it's a released 333 boxes, sorry, of 18 cigars. Thank you. That's much better.
Holy shit. They only smoked one for the review. Okay. Do you want me to go now, or you want to go?
Oh, were you doing score after that? You do score again now. Oh, okay. 98.
It's going to be one of those type of shows. I'm going to go 85. Clue number one. The flavor profile is exceptionally refined and smooth, delivering consistent notes of vanilla, hazelnut, sweet cedar, and fresh cut hay.
The ability to retrohale nearly the entire smoke without a harshness is a testament to how balanced and elegant the cigar performs from start to finish. Wow. Law. Sticking at 98.
Okay. I'm going to go 88. Clue number two. Despite a notoriously fragile wrapper that developed multiple cracks and splits, the cigar's underlying construction proved impressive.
Undurne, baby! The draw remained perfect, smoke production was plentiful, the ash held firm, and the flavor stayed consistent and enjoyable throughout the entire smoking experience. Even though it fell apart in my hands. 80.
Woof. Uh, 82. Glue number three, the wrapper is a significant drawback. Its extreme delicacy caused cracking before cutting, continued splitting throughout the smoke, and ultimately fell apart near the end.
" We need to just stop doing this. These things are falling apart in our hands. What year was this? 2013.
Oof. While the performance and flavor largely overcame the cosmetic issues, The Fragile Wrapper creates a frustrating experience that is difficult to ignore, especially considering the cigar's premium price point. 78. I think you're in a good spot there.
77. Final thought. Well played. Christian Iroa stated he believed it's the best cigar I've ever made.
And while I haven't smoked every Camacho out there, the cigar is just hands down a very good cigar. Between the delicate but full flavor profile and the smoothness that only an aged cigar can bring, it is extremely enjoyable smoking experience. " A little pectin. " "Half of the review is how terrible the wrapper is.
It's the only thing I can say about it. " We'll see. Unfortunately, box purchases seem to be out of the question at the moment, but if the remainder of these are released, I wouldn't hesitate jumping on the opportunity. So they made 333 boxes, but you can't buy the box.
Correct. You just can't even buy the cigar. They're like, you know what? It's done.
It's been well before your time. Okay, there's final score, gentlemen. So go ahead. What's your final score?
79. Ooh, that's a good number. I'm gonna say... I'm going to go above.
I'm going to say 81. You went the right way. Yes? 92.
No way. Was it falling apart? It scored in 92. Holy shit.
Apparently Brian is not allowed to review mini cigars. So now, now, come on, come on, come on. I win! This is why we have no money.
It's all about production quality. If you're listening to the podcast, that sounded very bad. It just sounds like a vacuum cleaner, but if you're watching, it's pretty epic. It's yeah.
So go to our YouTube page because we need more subs. Yeah. So you could afford a more pyrotechnic cash. Yeah, we need a smoke machine.
Yes. We need some type of lasers. Oh, lasers? Lasers.
Do, do, do. We need dancing girls. No, whoa, whoa. Oh, no, sorry.
No, no girls, no girls. This is why it's the best game ever. You never know, unless you're John Carney, who nails You never know where it's going. Well, I kind of gave him, just kind of lobbed that up for him, just gave him the whole, let him win.
Yeah. So, okay. All right, that's it. Do you have anything else to add, sir?
Yes. Go to Instagram and look for Bold Leaf Law, and in the link in my bio, you can find out where the Liberty 250 events are around the nation. The only way you can try the Camacho Liberty 250, it's an event-only cigar. You cannot purchase it.
There you go. Thank you so much for coming on the show. com, us, Cigar House Podcasts. Thank you, La, let's go do our event.
Let's do it. All right. Do the remote, Michael. Oh.
