ACHP Episode 561 That's Not How Its Done?

Episode Summary
Mike Palmer, Mike Stepankewicz and Phil McGuffey open Episode 561 with housekeeping: a rebuilt CHPod.com storefront that will host a monthly mask auction (the butterfly mask goes first), the Patreon show, and a hat giveaway for commenters. They read listener comments, riff on fake YouTube accounts, power naps, and the usual domestic detours before getting into news — including the Jackass "Best and Last" farewell film and a round-up of summer air travel incidents and TSA's projected 18.7 million July 4th travelers.
Cigar news is the meat of the episode. Davidoff launches two Honduran-made lines: the Avo Expressivo (Ecuadorian wrapper, Honduran binder, Honduran/Jalapa filler, built at Davidoff's Honduran factory rather than the Dominican Republic) and the Xeno Honduran, made at Diadema Cigars de Honduras. The crew debates that distinctive earthy, sour Honduran tobacco note they also pick up in Camacho and Oscar Valladares cigars, and they take issue with Xeno's pre-cut cigars in 4- and 5-packs — Palmer argues cutting your own cigar is part of being a man, which spins into a tangent on cutters, cigar knives and smoking rituals.
Escobar Cigars soft-launches the Nasty Esco, a Habano-wrapped robusto made at PDR Cigars and the first release in the Light Years Collection, tied to the album arc of Grammy-winning rapper Nas (Nasir Jones), who became a co-owner of Escobar Cigars through Puros Privados in 2021. It's currently a giveaway with $50+ orders on Escobar's site, with a wider release later in the summer. The guys also cover Plasencia's international team shuffle — Rodrigo Medina Mendonetta moving to global brand ambassador and Tim Greek taking over EMEA sales while keeping Global Travel Retail — plus the Davidoff Voyager Selection Black Band, an 8-count duty-free exclusive sampler of 5.5x55 Grand Robustos at a $240 MSRP.
The show closes with "What's the Score?", built around Brooks Whittington's 2017 half-wheel review of the La Aurora La Stravaganza — a 20-inch by 80 ring gauge showpiece in a coffin at $30 MSRP that produced almost no smoke over nearly seven hours. Guesses land in the 30s–60s before the real score is revealed.

Three. Two. One. Welcome to a Cigar Hustler Podcast where cigars are just the starting point.
Join me, Mike Palmer, along with Mike Stepankewicz and Phil McGuffey as we dive into the latest Cigar Industry news, sport, current events, business, and whatever crazy stories are making headlines. Whether you're a seasoned cigar smoker or just looking for an entertaining conversation, expect honest opinions, plenty of laughs, and a few unexpected detours along the way. On today's show, it's maybe the best and it's going to be the last. Summer Travel Tips?
Is that? No, it can't be. And then in Cigar News, we have some new sticks. It's a nasty Esco, and Plasencia moves the portal a bit.
Uh oh. Sort of. Someone has entered the portal? Sort of.
It's kind of a vague association. " But first, Mikey, how do we get some of that CH Pod swag? And I hear there's maybe a new shirt around mine? You're very excited about that, huh?
What about a Patreon? What's that about the Patreon show? Well, I like when new products come up because then we get a little bump. A little push?
Yeah, we get a little push. A little pizazz. Well, that's still in production. That's why I didn't sell a picture.
I'm not quite there yet, but you gave me a good base to go off of. There are going to be some modifications, maybe. Maybe a couple of mods. I mean, first of all, like and subscribe wherever you're viewing or watching this episode.
We're doing a couple of things here. I just want to give a couple of brief updates. Okay. So I talked with David Hasselhoffman and he gave me some prices for upcoming masks as well as the masks that we've achieved, you know.
So I was like, okay, well then I need to work on the auction. He reached out to me yesterday and showed me the new one. The new one. Oh, it's amazing.
Isn't that nice? Oh, yeah, yeah. It's something else. He's already working on the next one.
Yeah. Yeah, he's in. So, which I love. So I went to go and figure out how to add Auction to our current site, and of course...
It's not easy. It's a pain in the ass, and it's a module and all this other stuff, so I said, all right, let's just rebuild the site. So... The whole site that you've already been working on?
The CHPod site. Oh, okay. That's his new thing. Now that he has these special skills and talents, if he can't modify something, oh, fuck it, I was building it.
Let's redo it. It's new! So I have scrubbed that site. com.
Buy one, get one, 40% off, spend $100,000 more on free shipping. Still there. But the new site, it's gonna be a little bit different where the products will be nice and clean up front and the auction item for the month will be up top for the time being. Oh, okay.
So that way everybody can see it, it's apparent, you know, and when we go to launch this mask, it'll be running. What are we auctioning? The butterfly mask. Oh, we're going to do that?
Yeah, the previous month's mask gets auctioned. Nice. Yeah, and we'll tinker with it a little bit. Like, we may run this and we'll see how it goes.
Maybe we find out people don't want them or something? No, I don't think people will want them. This is a cigar memorabilia. It's more of a question of, should the auction be running while he's wearing the mask?
That's my question. Oh, I get you. Like at Jerry's Kid, then, where you see the telethon? Yeah, so, like, the mask is on, and then-- We give the price every show.
And then at the end of the month, it's gone. Ah! Oh, I kind of like that. Yeah.
So, if that's the case, then I gotta figure out how to get there, 'cause then you might essentially have to run the first two kind of in tangent. Oh, I got you, because you'll never be able to catch up, 'cause one's already gone. Correct. So you have to run the butterfly with the new one that we're not talking about.
com for all your chpod swag. Buy one, get the second one 40% off, spend $100 more on free shipping. com, a Cigar Hustlers podcast, was a great episode. I don't know, if you guys are missing out on this, there is some conversations that go on that we talk about some stuff that's just, you're not gonna hear it on any other show.
No. Nah. And it generally just comes up naturally with whatever we were going to talk about. Yeah.
It just becomes a topic of discussion where we kind of break things down. Look, this isn't year one of us in the industry. Right. This is 18 years.
18 years. Believe me. I think about that number. I'm like, oh my God.
Mike, you'll be right back. He's got a throw up. So there's a vast amount of knowledge. And what's even cooler is there isn't another show that has its own podcast, its own retail site, and is a brand owner-manufacturer.
Right. There isn't. There isn't. There's that one.
So we cover so many different things. And then we talk about somebody's cigar. Is it good? Is it bad?
Like, we give you the whole rendition. com, us, Cigars, this podcast. If you pay for the whole year, you're going to get 10% off. Some comments?
Sure. Can we talk about what's going on above your head before we do that? Oh, my red light? It's my red light.
I see that your red light is in action here. From yesterday, yes. However, you got a hat on. It's a mesh hat.
It goes through the mesh. I can see it better now on your dome right now. Well, I'm sure, but I chose the hat for the day, so. Do you feel smarter now that you took the hat off?
No. Oh. He seems a little more wittier already, just for the record. I got plenty of rest last night.
Yesterday, I was so tired yesterday. Yeah? I had to do one of your 15-minute power nap things yesterday morning. Did you?
Amazing! In the morning? Yeah, I got here, and I just couldn't focus. I couldn't keep my eyes open.
I don't know what happened. Sometimes you need a quick recharge. Yeah, so, you know, I sat down at the table and sort of leaned like this and set my timer on my phone. After 15 minutes, I felt fine.
Well, you're supposed to... Yeah, I thought it'd be, you know, "Oh, this is ridiculous. It's just 15 minutes. " But no, I felt good the rest of the day.
Yeah, it helps you dial in. Yeah, you're supposed to at least pound a Red Bull and then take that out. I'd already had a Red Bull yesterday morning, I already tried that. And I did one of those gummies you left in the locker yesterday afternoon.
The Focus gummies? Yeah. Those are good. Wait, wait, you got the Joe Rogan ones?
No, the mushroom ones. He brought a bag and puts it in the bag. I was doing them for a while, and I was on the subscribe thing, and they just kept sending me back. Oh, they kept piling up.
So there's like five bags at that, and I let them go. And I'm like, you know what, I need to bring them here, and you know what, thank you for reminding me that they're here because I wanted to just do them, but whatever. So yeah, so don't worry, don't worry guys if you're watching the show and the red lights flickering or whatever like that, I'm gonna lift it up as soon as he kind of gets into the news, so. Yeah, so if you have epilepsy.
Yeah, we don't want that to happen. I don't want you to have epilepsy. So, let's get into some comments from the show. Come on, Mikey's Mom, come on, Mikey's Mom, or whoever my new uh Team BDP is, Mikey's Mom got his creatures from somebody else, didn't want to wait, for the record, um, oh you know who Mikey's Mom is, oh yeah, oh okay, I do too now, I figured out, yeah, now that you said that I saw the picture in the thing, you saw the picture, oh I didn't even see the picture, there's one in the group, right, talking about the Tatawai creatures, yeah, Yeah, I think somebody took a picture of a box.
Oh, yeah? I think. Okay. The fake @iHeartBDP account says: The fake.
BDP carries this show. Oh, that's nice. Yeah. Well, I read all the news, so, you know.
You are an essential cog in this machine. Thank you. And that's all I'm gonna say. I don't know what I'm going to say, iHeartBDP, aka Palmer.
It's not me! Why would I make one of my own name? I'm not that... You're not?
I'm trying to think of the word without insulting the person who's actually doing it. I would have gone more devious than just promoting myself. Yeah? Right.
Like how devious? Oh, either something like, I could be Phil's Big Belly or... You know what, I knew you were going to go that route. Or I could be Mikey's aunt, but I'd have to ask the aunt's name, so I thought about that, But that would give it away.
- Mikey's aunt? - You know, because when you have your mother already, you have to have an aunt or something, another relative. Could be Mikey's dead dad, and that would be terrible. - Some of my aunts are still alive, I think.
- I hear you guys talk about one every once in a while, so I would have to ask Greg, and then I really don't trust Greg with secret information. - My side of the family, I don't... - Well, you can't trust Greg with spelling anyways. - Well, I guess from my mom's side, there's one.
- Oh, I could be the red-headed lady, I can't remember her name, but I'd have to look that up on Facebook. The red-headed lady? Your dad's last girlfriend. Oh, yeah.
Oh, that would be the name, Dad's last girlfriend. Dad's last girlfriend. Great, now there's gonna be a handle. Somebody wants to run with that one.
But we share the Facebook account. I can't make another name, because then you would see it every time you logged in. Oh, yeah? I would have to find something that that is not attached to already.
I couldn't use my laptop, I couldn't use my phone. You could use your wife's phone. Dude, I don't even know what you're talking about. What?
Okay, I don't even know how to look at that. No, but let's say I had logged in to make a comment and forgot to log back out. When you logged in. Yeah, you would screw that up.
Right, exactly. Yeah, you'd log in one time and see Mikey's dead dad's last girlfriend and go, uh-huh. I'm on to you. Yeah, I don't even know how to create an account.
I don't even know what all this is. I don't know what all this is. You have to have like another email address and stuff. It's not like you can use the same email address and make another account.
Google won't let you. Google owns YouTube. Yeah, that's true. Okay.
@Rookscoding, @Rookscotings says, "I love Phil on the show. " Thanks, Rookscoding. See, there you go. You know what?
I like that guy. Love is in the air. Yeah. No, he's a good dude.
Yeah, and I'll be here as long as I can. I am. As long as you can. Yeah.
As long as you can. Unlike your boy JJ on your show. Oh, well. It lasted like three episodes.
Yeah, I got it, so. He was pretty funny, though. He's funny, but he's like a fart in the wind, man. Yeah.
Wherever the wind takes him. Wherever the wind takes him. He lives in like Oklahoma now or something. Oh, does he really?
He moved. Yeah, he got a cowboy hat, he's got boots, cowboy boots. Oh, really? Oh, yeah.
Didn't he move to Miami for a while after he left your show? I thought that was where he left. New Orleans or something. No, yeah, yeah, he's been like all over, yeah, at CW6383, I didn't mean to cast shade on Phil, I love Mr.
McGuffey, I sit in my garage smoking and wearing the phantom mask just to be close to him, love you Phil. It's a little weird, but yes, I love you too. And for me to say that, you should send him some other, like a whole Phil outfit, like maybe send him the tank top and, you know, a pair of shorts and he could wear off a I heard a rumor that @cdub is going to a local event. Yeah, I saw that.
I saw that. Oh, it must not be a good one. But it's conflicting for me, because the guy running it. Yeah, the brand's okay.
I like the guy. Where it is. The place. Well, one of the ex-employees tagged himself at one of those the other day.
Oh, yeah? Yes. One of the ex-employees. I guess I can say his name.
It was Brandon. Oh, really? " Yeah, you're... I can't dot dot dot, I can't dot dot dot even talk to you.
That's awesome. Yeah. And then somebody else gave me, somebody else, oh, Mark Gordon said he was dead to him. Ah, nice, nice.
We should have a clan of people just attack. Just attack them. Yeah. I can't wait to go.
Margot, I haven't heard from Margot in a while, he's good? Yeah, you text me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're doing good. " Whoa.
Yes, that was from the previous episode. That was the one Greg was on, you weren't on that one. We deem Michael King of the Idiots. Yes.
But apparently he feels you should be King of the Idiots. Well, of course, he always defers off of him. He didn't beat you guys for that? That comment?
Who made the comment? It had to be me. Greg's not that funny. We were calling him King of the Idiots because he was telling me and Greg we were idiots.
Yes. Oh, well, yeah. However it played out. It's always a back and forth.
I was like King of the Idiots. That was like three episodes ago. Yeah. I love it when my wife's like, well, what did he say?
And I'm like, well, shit, this conversation was two hours ago. He said, I think he said, like, you don't remember? Like, no, not verbatim. And then, like, I spew something out, and then she gets the facts later, and she's like, what you told me he said is not even close to what was said.
Well, how can we, this isn't scripted. I'm like, okay. We're just shooting from the hip. I'm just talking about in life.
Not just a show. Yeah. Well, in life, we're just shooting from the hip. Exactly.
I don't know. I don't know how it went down. If they could keep their questions to just the show, where they can go and watch it, it'd be a lot easier. Yeah, we have.
Because we don't remember this either. Video evidence. Dude, like I hit her with the trifecta today. So, we got this cat.
I needed, I couldn't find my, I have two jars of hair gel. One of them is like harder than the other, and it bothers me. So I like the other one, but the other one, it was kind of MIA. So I'm like, I don't know where the hair gel went.
" So I opened the sink up, you know, it's not there. " - Wow. - Yeah. - She made you a lunchbox with it already in it.
- Oh, she does. Oh yeah. Yeah. So she loaded the lunchbox, put it in the refrigerator.
- Yeah. - And then you asked her where your lunch was? - It's 'cause it wasn't normal. - Kind of, yeah.
- Okay. - Yeah. - 'Cause you were looking for the Tupperware. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, just for me to build.
Because I've been building a lot, like through the summer, you know. She hasn't been to spec, I guess. I don't know. She's not.
- No. - She's not fluffing off. There's, and there was one other thing. Taking out her responsibilities.
Oh, and then, and then like, she made, she makes my coffee, so I grab my coffee and I'm going to leave. So she goes, where's my coffee? I go, that wasn't yours, you made that for me. She goes, okay, so let's just review as I'm walking out the door.
Hair gel, food, coffee. Okay. I'm like, yep, yep, lost. I'm a simple kind of man.
That's it, I'm lost without you. I don't know what else to tell you. You know, speaking of the hair gel, I'm on to the powder stuff. Have you tried that?
The powder? Powdered hair gel? Yeah, have you seen it? No.
It's just like this, it looks like baby powder, but you sprinkle it in your hair, and then it's like a dry gel, which is nice, because then your hands don't get all... What are you using gel for in your hair? I use it sometimes. You have like a military low crop cut thing, what are you...
Yeah, well, when I go out with my wife, I do like this, she likes like this messy hair thing. Oh, well, maybe just grow it out a little. I don't know, I'm not into the powder. Just saying, try it, it's not expensive.
Okay, maybe I will. Do you say it is expensive? No, it's like four bucks. All right, that's all I got.
If you want to hear your comment read aloud on the show, just comment below this episode. The hat that Mr. Palmer's wearing, go ahead and show them that hat Mr. Palmer.
I'm going to take it off and bring it nice and close to the camera. A bing bong. Is now, oh, oh, oh, there it is. This week, if you comment on this episode or any of the other episodes, you're going to be entered to win that hat.
Well, a hat. Yeah, not the one that he's wearing, but one of them. Yeah, you'll get a clean one. Yeah.
Yeah, since we had a couple of PCA leftovers. Made some no-shows. Yeah. So, their loss is your gain.
So, comment below to be entered to win. Now on with the show. All right, now the news. Do you want to pause?
No. Oh. No, let it happen. Let it happen.
Here, let's do it. Let it happen. Jackass Best and Last. Last?
The new movie that we were talking about yesterday was trending today on the world topic stage, I guess you're whatever you're saying. When Jackass debuted on MTV in 2000, a lot of people wondered how long this outrageous stunt could possibly last. Well, 25 years later, after one iconic TV series, several spin-offs, and five movies, Johnny Knoxville and the gang are finally calling it quits a day with Jackass best and last so the farewell film mixes classic fan favorite moments would never before seen footage from the early MTV days some of the unreleased material is downright unbelievable including Knoxville testing a bulletproof vest by actually shooting himself in the chest oh my god so there's got to things that even the censor that the censor wouldn't allow back then that are a little more could you imagine it's more permitted now well they're going to do a movie there's there's less things with less restrictions with movies into our tv shows oh okay could i imagine what can you imagine the cojones you have to have to shoot yourself to shoot yourself dude i remember there was one where he was going to get shot and he was in a vest yeah and you could see the look of dread I don't think he's going to shoot him right on his face. Well, it still hurts, supposedly.
Regardless of hurting, yeah. Well, normally when they do that kind of stuff, they have like world-famous Marksman, Mike Stepankiewicz. And? Yeah, regardless of that, but it was definitely one of the other guys in the group.
I think it was like BAM or somebody was shooting him. No way. Yeah, I wouldn't let any of those guys shoot me. What if they want to give the little Wee Man, here, Wee Man, shoot him.
He's got a point up. Who knows where that's going to go? Yeah, I remember the look on his face, and you could see it was just dread, like this is, like, how did we get here, you know what I mean? Right.
It was, it was a lot, but I don't want to, I don't want to beat too much of a dead horse on this, because we really kind of covered Jackass yesterday. Well, the reason I kind of pulled it is because it's not like it's a new movie, it's more of a best of. Oh, is it? " And then they show the clip of him getting shot, that type of stuff.
Okay, that makes sense. There's also Sons MTV refused to air because they were considered too dangerous or too easy to imitate. That was a big problem when it got started. They were afraid, you know, people were doing the same thing.
They always had to start running that disclaimer. Yeah, I can understand that. Where they called them professionals, which I thought was awesome. A little loose.
Yeah, a little loose. A little confident to make that statement. I don't know how we got there, but... Right.
Okay. Are you good? Yeah, I was looking it up. It doesn't say anybody.
It doesn't give a name. Oh. Give a name for who shot him? Yeah.
Oh. Okay. Ooh. All right.
Some of the stunts that they're listening that they're going to show that they didn't show before. There is a robot prostate exam. Oh, God. I know.
Bad enough, the doctor does it, but a robot just goes... And this was, this isn't recent. No, no, these are older ones. No, no, these are older ones.
So, yeah, it's not even, it's a shaky robot. Yeah. Right? Right.
Like the one that kicked the kid. All right, a pilot suffering a medical emergency, a plane forced down in Alaska, and passengers' jets nearly colliding in Boston are the latest aviation incidents under investigation as the busy summer air travel season gets underway. While each incident is vastly different, all could be frightening for passengers planning to fly in America. So, let's just hit them all one shot.
Brings in its 250th anniversary. S. airport security checkpoints over the busy 4th of July weekend between June 30th and July 6th. That's a lot of people in a week's time.
Yeah. S. None of these crashes are related, but 21 people were killed. Do you guys remember four plane crashes?
Is it in the same week? No. I was, you know, I was just about to ask that question to you guys. Was there this many plane crashes back, you know, let's say, Palmer, when you were in your 50s?
In the Wright Brothers? I'm in my 50s now! Oh, in your 30s. I don't know, apparently they're not reporting them, so they wouldn't have been back then either.
There were some bigger ones back then. Other than 9/11, I don't understand that one. Right. There was that one in Detroit where only the little girl survived, where it took off and then crashed as soon as it got up in the air.
You know what's kind of funny to me is if you don't think the media is purposely fear-mongering our society, I don't know what else to tell you, it's one of the highest travel days or weekends of the year, everybody's getting on a plane, they're like, hey, just so you know, here's a crash, here's a crash, you know what I mean? Right, well that's what they're gonna read, you're not gonna read, everything was fine, nobody, everybody landed safely. Right, it's why, but that's, like, that's crazy. No, it's called getting the clicks now, they want you to read the story that says, you know, four planes crashed all in the same day.
Yeah, no one's reporting the news anymore, it's just us, right? We're your media source for news. We're the media source for hundreds and thousands of people. No, you know what the crazy part is though, like I have conversations with people and I'm up to date now because of you.
Oh! Yeah, somebody will say something like that's not that's not what happened. Like no, it went like this. Like how do you know that?
It went like this. How do you know that? That's usually what Brittany says to me. He's like how, where are you getting that?
I'm like, oh Palmer told me on the show. We gotta hope it's a true story though. Palmer's not making it up. hey listen at this point if palmer says the moon is made of cheese i'm backing it i'm gonna say look man you guys don't understand by the way it is made of cheese you don't understand the scientific facts here it's a cheese moon cheese moon that's what the holes are it switched you my friend told me that and i will leave him it's better than you believe in somebody else on the news i guess right you know well a small The full commuter plane made an emergency crash landing in a remote Alaska after suffering engine trouble directly after takeoff.
Dramatic passenger video shows the aircraft bouncing across a meadow before stopping all 10 people on board survived and were rescued by a helicopter. Did this recently happen? Yes. Was this like, what, yesterday or something?
Uh, the day before yesterday, I believe. Okay. But the biggest problem is there are polar bears in Alaska. There are polar bears, and they attacked.
No. No, polar bears in Alaska live exclusively in remote far northern coastal areas and sea ice. Exactly where they landed. Not near the southern tourist hubs like Anchorage and Juneau.
The best way to see them, so there's several websites in Alaska that tell you where to go to see the polar bears. Where to die. That you guys said were not in Alaska. Who said that?
You guys did the other day, I said that, and you guys, you looked some up and said there weren't polar bears in Alaska. No, he said Antarctica. No, that was, that was months ago, that the Antarctica. I confirmed for you, I don't know.
I thought you said they weren't. I don't know. Oh, I was sent this by a listener. No, I think Greg might have said that there's no polar bears in Alaska.
And I said that's not true. Oh, I thought you said there weren't too. And then I said there are no polar bears in Antarctica. Yeah, I know there's no polar bears.
And then I think there was like a number of them. Well, now I know. Because before you didn't know. But I thought we were questioning whether...
I like that you're... Well, the listener sent it to me as a proof that, and he actually sent me a picture of the biggest polar bear in Alaska. Yeah? Does it have a name?
Yeah, it does, but I don't remember what it was. It's like Big Eddie or something. It wouldn't, yeah, it's not like, you know, some kind of Alaskan name. Yeah.
Kind of an Alaskan name. Inuit Indians. Earl. I'm going to tell you, if you did say it, you're going to know next episode.
Yeah, somebody will fact check me on that. Like, you absolutely said that there. I'm like, okay. Right.
Here's the clip. Right. Here's the clip. All right, well, you can see them the best August through October if you're interested to go see them at all.
I don't like to leave home, and, you know, if I do leave home, I like to bring my family. Well, you don't want to take the kids to see them. It's still very dangerous. So we're probably not going to see the polar bears.
Maybe go to the Michael Jackson Museum. I hear that's big with you. No, I'm not doing that. In Alaska?
It's too much. No, it's not in Alaska. It's too much. The music is fine.
I like the music. That's where it ends. Oh, you can take them to see the first movie. I wouldn't see the second movie.
I hear that's when they cover all the bad stuff. Oh, the one on Netflix? The one that Greg went to go see. Go see.
Yeah, Michael. Yeah, that's the newest one. Right. That one, they didn't cover any of the bad stuff.
I hear they are on the second one. They're making more than one. Oh, are they? Yeah, there's like sections.
Well, the second part of his life is probably going to cover the court proceedings that he had and Macaulay Culkin and all that. What is a biopic compared to a documentary? Why are they different? Because they're saying this one is a bi...
" Uh, I don't know. Like, it's, it's, it's based, I don't know. I would love to give you the, the... I thought maybe you knew.
I feel like I could understand it, but I can't explain it. You know what I mean? Well, yeah, biopic, it's the, yeah, I don't know, biography in a picture form, or like in a movie form? Yeah, like an elaborated story theme, you know?
Isn't that what a documentary is, too? A documentary is supposedly factually based chain of events that occurred. Okay. We can go with that.
Do you have a video? I don't know if I'm supposed to ask or not. You know, there's... You do?
You don't? What? I kind of do. No, like, maybe I'll put it up tomorrow.
There's a video. It's pretty funny. Is there a lot of F words? I thought about editing the thing, because that guy F'd every other word.
Yeah. And I went to go click the box because it was there and the way it describes it, I don't think it was a problem, so we didn't get hit with a violation, it checked it and cleared it, so. Right. But there is like an excessive language square and you click it, it opens up, it asks you some questions if you did this, and I'm like, well, that's not really what we did.
Yeah, I didn't know that. I'm just going to let this go, I think. Otherwise, there's no talking, there would be no talking about the video. Right.
And who has time to edit all that, right? You know what I mean? Well, it's not that I don't have time. Well, I didn't have time yesterday when I was doing it, but it just would have been a lot of extra work.
We could have thrown it into an AI and it would have removed them all. Oh. But without that, though, it's not as good of video. Yeah.
That's fair. Because some guy going, you want to fight? Right. You...
That. It would have been just a lot of conjunctions, ands, ors, and us. Are you going to tase me? Right.
Are you going to tase me? Right. Yeah. It's like listening to an edited Tupac song.
Bam. All right. Cigar News. La Estancia.
What is that you're spoken to? Oh. Marifel. Marifel.
I couldn't think of the word. Avo Expressivo, Zeno, Honduras, heading to stores. I'm sorry. Yeah.
That's two different cigars, right? Yes, but from the same people. Davidoff is closing out this week with two, last week, with two new products launching today or the other day, June 25th, in the launch of the new Avo Expressivo, which is said to make a new chapter for the brand. Blend wise, it uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from Honduras as well as Jalapa and Nicaragua.
The use of Honduran Tobacco is not normal for the Avo brand, but as even larger change is that the cigar is made at Davidoff's Honduran factory. It had, those are the ones that they gave us from our event. It had a weird flavor to it, so it was the Honduran Tobacco. Is that what it was?
They gave me one of these Avos. Oh, you had the Avo? Yeah, I had the Avo and I haven't smoked the Xeno yet, which is the next one. It's also Honduran.
He didn't, yeah. But I couldn't nail what the weird flavor was, 'cause I've had avos before, and I didn't really like this one, and that's why it was the Honduran tobacco. It was that earthy, soury flavor to it. Okay.
I mean, Camacho's Honduran. Yeah, and I get that same flavor from those, too. Oh, really? Yeah, and also, what's his name?
Caffey Cigars were all Honduran, so I kind of got used to that weird Honduran tobacco flavor. What's the one with the leaf wrap? Oscar Valladares. Oscar Valladares.
Oscar Valladares. That's Honduran, right? Yep. Yep.
Don't badmouth him. But those are lovely cigars. I smoked a Zeno. Yeah, I saw the butt end up there.
How was that one? I haven't done that one yet. I thought it was pretty good. Yeah?
Yeah. Not bad. I'll try that today. Did you get to smoke the AVO?
No. Well, apparently, Law and I aren't like this. Oh. Oh, I got it from Wasp.
Oh. You would think the guy that, you know, I like, I help fund, probably not by much, probably like five dollars an annual, but... Oh. We had the same first name?
We had the same first name. Oh, is that why? Yeah. Makes sense.
Oh. I was about to say Wasp, I was like, what are these guys, Marvel characters? Like, why do they all have... Yes, yes.
Wasp and... Law. And Law, right. The guy wearing the butterfly mask is asking questions.
Like, what's going on here? What are they, like superheroes? As he gets into the butterfly mobile out on the parking lot, you know? And it just flies away?
No, no, he floats. Well, I have a flutter. He flutters away. That's the word.
Everywhere the Avo was made in the Dominican Republic, Davidoff has described this cigar as stronger than a typical Avo. Yesterday will also serve as the launch for the Xeno Honduran, another new line. It, too, is made at Diadema Cigars de Honduras Essay. Blend-wise, it uses Ecuadorian wrapper over a Honduran binder and Honduran fillers.
There are some quirks with this different packaging options. The 4-pack of Half Coronas and 5-packs of Robusto and Toros will come with cigars that are already cut. Hmm. Already done.
Already done. The trait that other Xenolines uses in smaller packaging formats so that it's ready to go at a moment's notice. That's ridiculous. Why?
Because it is. It makes you feel like it's unclean, doesn't it? No, it makes me feel like I'm less of a man. Like, if a cigar is capped, if it's got the cap on it, and I don't have a way to cut it, I have my fingernail.
I can just do that, like a man. I pinch the end. You could do that as well? And just a little piece comes off?
Yeah. That's what you should do in the mornings. It's like... Or walk into the car.
You just took the masculinity out of the cigar. Yeah, I mean, you still have to have a lighter. A lot of lighters have cutters or... It doesn't have a lighter tape to it?
It doesn't have a button that'll light it for me? It's got four matches in there and one of those strike strips. You know, if it came with a person to smoke it for me, too, that would be fantastic. Well, that's lost, John.
That's lost. Here, smoke this. Look, look at me being a man right here. Sorry.
Sorry. I thought he got the bubble machine. I know. We're gonna cut them.
Well, these are little cigars, right? Yes. I mean, does that mess up a cigar? No.
Being pre-cut? No. Now, that was the next question. Do they actually cut it, or do they just make it so it's got an open end?
It has to be trimmed, yeah. Yeah, you can't, they're all gonna be perfectly aligned? No, they're rolled, and then they're chopped. okay it's not like they're they're rolled and capped and somebody comes by with a v-cut and go four times and stick them in the box well what if somebody doesn't like that type of cut it's not v-cut right no no that would but even a straight cut i mean he was actually asking a question what is the type they put on it look it's just an open-ended cigar i mean i mean there's some guys that are really weird about that though about the v-cut or whatever yeah okay i mean hey Hey look, it's your cigar, if that's how you want to smoke it, whatever, I like to cut them like a man.
Just be a man, be a good person and a man. Do you guys like those knives instead of a regular cutter? They're nice. But I'm a minimalist, I like to carry the least amount of...
In your pocket, yeah. It's a little harder to do with the knife, just 'cause I'm not used to it, I mean, you know, you have to open it and then not open it all the way, and then you gotta sit it in a little hole and... Well, there's something to be said about that, you know, the taking the time and the setting. I used to really enjoy that, I used to have like a set of tools and, you know, you pull them out, you open the bag, you zip it, you lay the tools out, the ritual of it was kind of fun, but as I got into smoking more cigars, more oven, I just need the thing open so I can just smoke it.
Yeah, who has that kind of time? Right, yeah. It's not the relaxing thing that it used to be at this point. I think it helps keep me focused.
I like, yeah, when I work, if I'm at home and I'm doing work, I have to have like a little snack, something to pop in my mouth, because I'm just used to, it's like a distraction or something, or a focuser or something. Right. Yeah, and I go, what are you doing? I go, I need peanuts.
You know, I'm looking at the pantry. Peanuts, candy, something. Something. It's in your lunchbox.
Right. No, I pack my own. In the fridge? In the fridge.
Where's that? I actually pack my wife's lunch during the school year. Oh, reverse. Yes.
Yeah, it is. See, you got it all backwards, buddy. I make her coffee, too. You got it all backwards.
I'm up anyway. What am I going to do? Make her get up 10, 15 minutes earlier so I can sit there and watch her make her lunch and coffee? Yeah.
If you didn't make her lunch, Palmer, would she eat lunch? Yeah. I mean, I don't do it five days a week. " She'll go, I'll just do it.
For hot lunch, we have a meatball sub. The options are for tomorrow. Peanut butter, jelly. You hit it with the three things.
Hot pocket. Because when she goes, I don't care, I go, well, you do. So here's what I'm thinking. Here's what I got, I got leftovers from tonight.
Peanut butter and jelly. Or one of those frozen things out of the freezer. Women are always the hardest about that stuff. I know we're going off in complete left field here.
That's fine. That's how they built the show. It's like you ask them like, "Hey, are you getting hungry? " Yeah, I don't care.
And then you name three things and they said no to all of them. " Right, yeah. " We'll go back to the Olive Garden. Ugh, I hate Olive Garden.
Really? We got a restaurant that I like that Brittany hates. - It's kind of like, it's called Jimmy Hula's. - Oh yeah, I like Jimmy Hula's.
- Yeah, it's a good little spot, it's a decent meal, it's, you know, you still sit down and eat, it's, you know, it's like somewhere between McDonald's and like a sit down restaurant, right, like it's, it's a mesh between the two. So, whenever I get the you pick, I go, - Jimmy Hula's. - Like Jimmy Hula's, and I know that she instantly regretted it. - Oh, I said, oh, I hate that book.
Yeah. I heard the taco spot closed down by-- Dorchy's is gone, yeah. Wow. Everything here was spicy.
We went there twice. I didn't enjoy it. I loved it. You didn't go enough.
I know. Apparently. Wasn't there two in town? I think the other one closed too.
Really? Over in Winter Garden or something? Winter-- Really? Yeah.
I don't know. There's one like 10 and tacos like it. All right, let's go. Sorry.
I want to talk more food. We're hungry. I like that other guy show now. Moving on.
Escobar Cigars soft launches the Nasty Esco. He's back! He back! Escobar Cigars has soft launched a new cigar called Nasty Esco, E-S-C-O.
Anybody know what that stands for? I even looked up how to pronounce it just so I said it right. It's Esco. Escobar.
Ah, thank you. Right? The Nasty Esco Bar? Nasty.
Nas. Oh, this is the... So, the rapper Nassie? No.
This is the rapper Nas. No, no. I meant the word Nassie was associated with the rapper. The whole thing is associated with that.
Oh, his name is Escobar, too? I don't know these people. Wait, wait. Hold on a second.
Are you talking about the rapper like a person? Or are you talking about the rapper? Yeah. No, no.
Like the person. I just want to make sure. Yeah, no. Not the cigars wrapped in a nasty wrapper.
I just want to make sure. It's a nasty, ugly wrapper. It's terrible. It's got a lot of holes in it.
It's wet. So, you are familiar with Nas? Yes. I mean, if you played his song, I couldn't identify it.
You probably could. He's got a very distinctive voice. He's one of my favorite. He played three of them.
I couldn't pick it out. It's one of my favorite rappers. Yeah. Okay, which will get a full release later this summer.
Details are largely kept under wraps. We're not telling you anything. But the cigar is made at PDR Cigars and is described as premium yet low retail. Nope.
Okay. Offering. What number would that be? It's been.
It all depends on your version of low retail, I guess, I don't know, whatever you consider low retail. So this is just, so, so let's just review here. Okay. So far, we've heard the name of the cigar.
Yes. We heard that, where it's being made from. Yes. Nothing, nothing about the blend.
Let's read on. Okay. Oh, there's more. It's a Robusto Vitolo, while teaser images indicate there is Habano tobacco in the blend.
It's the first cigar in what the company is calling the Light Years Collection, which is being developed to mirror the album path of Nas Jones. Say it. Say it. Nas.
No, what does it say? It says Nas, N-A-S. No, it doesn't. Yes, it does.
Nas Jones. It's in parentheses. And you said Nas? Nas?
Well, I said Nas. Nas. But then you called him Nas. What's his name?
I don't know the man. Hello. You said you knew who he was. I know the name.
I don't know who he is. " That's Nas. Okay. Well, if you say so.
"Hello, Mr. Nas. " So it's a Robusto. It's possibly a Habano.
Possibly. Okay. But he is a Grammy Award-winning rapper, entrepreneur, and producer. Right.
He began his career under the name "Nasty Nas" and adopted the Escobar persona during the mid-1990s. Now I understand. Now it makes sense. Yes.
Jones joined the brand's parent company, Puros Privados, as a co-owner and equity partner in Escobar Cigars in August 2021. There's something about Lightyear Studio, and make owned, we make our own cigars top tier. The cigars are currently available exclusively via Escobar Cigars website, where customers will receive one with a purchase of $50 or more. Wow.
Oh, while supplies left. They're slated to get a wider release this summer. Hold on, I'm a little confused. I go to the site.
You go to their site. And I get the cigar when I spend $50? If you spend $50, you will get one of the new cigars. Oh, so like they sell swag or something like that?
They sell other cigars. You're talking about PDR, right? I'm super confused. No, no, no, not PDR.
What's the site? Okay, hold on. You know what? Don't say the site.
They don't give the actual name. They say exclusively via Escobar Cigars website. So it's a direct-to-consumer. Well, they receive one with a purchase of $50 or more.
So whatever you can buy on their website, if you spend $50, you get one. And then later this summer, they're going to have them available for purchase. Oh, this has to be Nas' swag site. This is like the pre-release.
Well, they're saying the website. He's got his own tobacco company, cigar company. Are you buying one? No.
$50? That could be one t-shirt. There is... Maybe a travel mug.
No, it's... com. No, like, it's just the cigars. Oh.
And... How many cigars you got to buy to spend 50 bucks? I'm just curious what you're in for here to get this free cigar. Two.
Two. $25. $25. There's a couple cigars that are $13.
That's the cheapest? Yeah. That's an average price. Okay.
What's the most expensive cigar in there? They got a sampler for $38. Can I buy just one cigar? They got one cigar for $25.
So I get two of those and a free cigar. You know what, Nas, if you want to advertise your cigar, come on our show. No. Come hang out.
No, not advertise your show. But if you like us to try them, or if you're the rep who knows how to get these and like us to try them. There is no rep, they just sell them direct. Okay, well maybe a rep knows somebody.
A rep knows somebody? Maybe somebody knows somebody. Maybe one of our viewing audiences has a connect. Oh.
Maybe they know a guy. Mm-hmm. I know he's a guy, he works for the... This is just...
How many did you get? Zero. If you spent a hundred, I wonder if you get two. It's PDR, bro.
What are you talking about? I love how Palmer's so excited about this cigar. I'm not excited about this. Oh, PDR, Richie used to work for PDR.
Bet we can work this out. You think he laughed on good terms? I don't know. I don't know.
He seems like a good guy. Yeah, he seems like a good guy. I like Richie. I couldn't see him walking out the door.
I'm talking about the relationship between Richie and PDR. I'm sure it didn't end well. Why? Because it never ends well.
Maybe they both were like, you know, it just doesn't fit for the two of us, let's just split up. Okay. It's not you, it's me. It's not you.
It's me. It's right. This is not working. This just doesn't work for us, you know?
We need you to move. Oh, I can't move. I got a wife and kids. Oh, well, we're gonna have to part ways.
But you know, it's been a good run. Thank you very much. We appreciate that. If you ever need anything, like a cigar that we make for someone else or something.
In the future. Right. Just give me a call. I'll hook you up.
It's not a problem. Especially the non-cigar. So if you drop 50, if you drop 50, you're gonna get this value cigar-free. Right.
Well, no, no, no, no. No, no, low retail. Premium, low retail. Premium, low retail cigar.
Like, what are we doing? And then later this summer, you can buy them and find out how much we ripped you off for. They're six bucks at CI. No.
Six bucks at CI. Believe me, Nas doesn't need the money. You know what I mean? Right.
So they could all be low retail. It's almost like this is a side hobby for one of his buddies or something. Oh, he just. Yeah, go ahead.
Should have called it, like, the Smokematic or something. Smokematic. Smokematic. Yeah.
Is that another song? Well, he had Stillmatic and Illmatic were his albums. Oh, so it should be Smokematic. You're already a better marketer than whoever's around this damn thing.
Speaking of bad decisions. And you got a butterfly mask on. Wow. Unbelievable.
Okay, anyways, moving on. Oh, that was funny. Placencia Shuffles International Team. All right, this is where things get a little...
A little mixy-mixy? Little mixy-mixy. Little mixy-mixy. This is why they didn't show up the other day.
Are you aware of the fact that Placencia owns a chain of duty-free stores throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe? I did not know, but that's brilliant. Sure, you're right. But one of these stories is about somebody they put into that company.
Is that really cigar-related? Yeah. But they don't mention Placencia other than this big headline here. They used to talk about that company.
I mean, they run as separate companies, but they do have cigars in them, as most duty frees do. Right. I'm sure they're under the same umbrella. It's fine.
I mean, even if you clocked it as a big retailer, you know what I mean? Like, that should make the news. All right. Well, since he has made two personnel changes to its international team, next week, Rodrigo Medina Mendoneta, currently the regional sales for Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, Will become the company's first global brand ambassador.
Nice. Mr. Mendetta, who is from Nicaragua, has worked for the company for more than a decade. In his new role, he will continue to work with retailers, distributors, but also adds additional responsibilities with both consumers and media.
So this job of brand ambassador, that's like law, right? Like what he does? Yeah. Just sort of go to the events.
Super cush, yeah. Yeah, no kidding. But if you're not good at it, you're very expendable. Oh, yeah.
That's the scary part. Well, I guess you're right. They could easily put another monkey in the position. First guy to go.
You know what I mean? Like, if I'm looking at the spreadsheet... And we got to cut corners. Hey, we're not, we're not, revenue is not where it needs to be.
Right. Where do we trim? Oh, well, the guy who's not producing the revenue. Right.
I mean, law has a budget he has to adhere to, he was explaining to me. Law works his ass off. Oh, he does. He's real good at it.
Yeah, I know. Law works his ass off. And everybody left that event like, wow, that was incredible. Yeah, he does a good job.
I did like the blind thing, blind tasting that we tried, that was awesome. You weren't here for that. What is Pedro for Drew Estate? Is he a brand ambassador?
Uh, yeah, I guess? He's the keeper of things. He's the very fabric of Drew Estate. Yeah, I don't think they call him brand ambassador, but I think that's the job he has.
He's type thing. Dude, yeah, I mean, I don't know, he's every bit of it. He's just the multi-guy, Corbin Dallas. He's the fixer, man.
Like, he's always been the guy that you plug into a spot and he solves the problem. I was just wondering because I always just see him on, you know, Drew Estate Facebook stuff. Yeah. He's the face.
Alright, Tim Greek, who has served as Senior Manager for Global Travel Retail, which is their duty-free stores, Will become the new VP of Sales for EMEA, which is what the other guy used to do, who just got the brand ambassador job. So you think the brand ambassador guy, the... The guy that was in charge of EMEA, which is Europe and something... Okay.
That guy just got made brand ambassador. Emerson, Australia, isn't it? So then this new guy, or not new guy, the guy, this Tim Greek, who's been serving as Senior Manager for Global Travel, The guy who'd been in charge of the duty-freeze is now in charge of the EMEA. Right.
So this guy sounds like he moved up the chain? Yeah. It sounds like the other guy's got one foot out the door. " Yeah, like, hey, you know, well, maybe it's like a, like, I don't know, you know.
This is the reward for good service, you get this sort of kush thing for a little while. Yeah, like, you know. You're going to retire in a couple of years, right? Transition out?
Fly around. Per se? I don't know. And he's still in charge of Global Travel Retail, taking over for Mr.
Mendonetta. Greek joined the company in 2023, so it's like, he's moving up fast. But now he's got two jobs. Yes, he's in charge of two things now.
Okay. So they had one guy that did one job, and now they gave his job to a guy who already had a job, and now he's getting paid. To do two jobs. And the other guy just got, here I am.
Here's your gold watch. You know what I mean? Right. You know, that's kind of the picture.
He's sitting in a nice big leather chair. Right. Cheers. Cheers, here we go.
All right, Davidoff Voyager selection black band is coming in mid-July. Oh, trademark infringement. Voyager? Next month, four Davidoff lines will be offered in a new global travel retail exclusive.
So this is only going to be sold in Placencia's duty-free shops. Oh, okay. All these stories are connected, these last four stories. Seriously?
Yeah, it's like somebody got a in somewhere and they go, you know what, here's four stories, here you go. Well, we're doing this, we're doing this, and we're doing this. Right, yeah, this guy is now in charge of this, this guy's in charge of what he used to be into and this other thing. Oh, and then these cigars we're going to sell only to that guy's store.
Have you heard of Global, well, yeah, I did, because I just read the last article. Yeah, well, guess what? I had to look it up and see what it was. I had no idea what global travel retail was.
Investors? Possibly you. Connected to Prestige Worldwide. So it's an exclusive sampler, 5 1/2 by 55 Grand Robustos.
Oh, no D on theirs either. If all that sounds familiar, it's because it's the third time in less than a year that Davidoff has released that size and a sampler made exclusively for this store. It's another one. Another one.
It's called the Davidoff Voyager Selection Black Band. 5 x 55 Grand Robusto in each of the four blends, including the new Puro Domenicano. Wow. So there's a bunch of cigars.
Okay, very exciting. Ink Count Box will debut July 16th, I'm trying to get to the price part. Cigars will never have, and a place will never go. Right, and it has an MSRP of, this is for the sampler, the entire box, not a single cigar.
The five pack? The five pack. You said it was eight. 8.
Whatever it is. 8-count. Yeah, 8-count, sorry. Is that 8-count?
8-count. Okay. 5-packs were the ones that come pre-cut that somebody slobbered all over when they bit the end. Yeah.
Oh. Phil? I'm gonna guess... 8-pack.
160. That's good. He did simple math there. I'm gonna say 150.
$240! Dang! Ladies and Davidoffs, gentlemen, you can only get them here. And they had black bands.
Wait, wait. Not here, but there. They're 30 a pull. Well, at the duty free store.
So they're 30 a pull. But you can only buy it in the sampler. You can't buy them separately. Damn.
They're as much as those Cubans that they sell in all those places. What are we doing wrong? Oh, there was a Cuban story, but I skipped it because I have too much cigar news. So we'll do over that tomorrow.
Okay. All right, it's time for the industry's favorite game. What's the score? Players hear clues from a half-wheel cigar review and trying to predict the score before it's revealed.
As more details are shared, the challenge gets easier, or does it? The closest guess to the actual score wins the round. " What's the score? Today's cigar was chosen by our friend Steve upstairs.
Chosen by Steve. April 1st, 2017, Brooks Whittington is the reviewer. Mm-hmm. It is...
97. The Aurora, La Aurora, Limited Edition, Main Reviews, the La Aurora, La Stravaganza. Hmm. Hmm.
What year is this? 17. All right. Can't you just pay attention?
I have to back up. I don't know, man. You speak so fast sometimes. It's hard to hear it.
Because that's what they do on the game shows. 91. 90. The Cigar Reviewed, La Aurora, La Stravaganza.
Dominican Republic Cigar is at the La Aurora Cigar Factory. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Sumatra. Binder is Brazilian Manafina, fillers Brazil, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Nicaragua. The length is 20x80.
Wow. 20x80? I'm going down and... Length is 20 inches, ring gauge is 80.
It's a 20x80. It's a big, big, long, fat guy. Extravaganza! It's an extravaganza!
Okay. MSRP is $30. It comes in a coffin. $64.
Yeah, I knew it. As soon as I heard the size, I was like... They only reviewed one. Yeah, no shit.
This is one of the ones where they used to list the smoking time, six hours and 85 minutes. So I guess it's over seven hours. I don't know why they put 85 minutes, but... It's work.
I'm gonna go 65. What are you doing in there? I'm just smoking a cigar, Charlie. I'm doing the best I can.
They smoked that cigar. They were so delirious, they didn't realize 60 minutes was in an hour. Right. What did you say, Phillip?
Uh, 65. He said 61. Oh, you guys are yelling at number four. I said 64.
All right. Here is clue number one. The cigar impressed before lighting with an appealing espresso brown wrapper and a complex pre-light profile featuring coffee, cedar, leather, cocoa, cinnamon, Succo, Cinnamon, and Creamy Nut Notes. 62.
No nubs on that. He hasn't even smoked it. Yeah, that's the pre-light. 65.
I already said 62. Oh, sorry. Turn that light back on, on your dome right now. I can't hear the thing kicked on.
A bing bong. Major construction problems ruin the experience as the cigar produced almost no smoke despite burning for hours, forcing the viewer to abandon it after nearly seven hours. Seven hours. I have no credit.
He worked this thing for seven hours and it didn't even smoke. Fifty-seven. I would have gave up after the first 10 minutes, man. Yeah, right.
That's what he does. That's what he does for a living. These are the sacrifices I make for you. You can go to sleep and just hold it in your hand.
Sixty. Even with the severe dry issue, the cigar maintained a surprisingly straight burn for most of the smoke, showing solid burn consistency. He said there was no smoke, so how did it burn? He couldn't get smoked through it.
It could still burn. 59. He's just sitting there watching it for seven hours. 59.
60. He's just going to hover around me. Judging by the hook on the display box, it's sold in. The extravaganza is obviously meant to be a showpiece, but as my review of the Opus Football and the Femur have proven, cigars like this can often be smoked.
Not the baseball. The Stravaganza actually burned quite well for the time I was smoking it, and while the flavor I was getting out of it were not overly complex, they were enjoyable enough to continue. The major problem was the fact that despite the very small amount I cut off the cap, I just could not get enough suction or pressure to draw the smoke the entire length of the cigar, which means I was basically just cold drawing the whole time. Patrick's review of the Woody shows that cigars this size can theoretically be smoked.
I would not be averse to try and again to see if a second time would be any less frustrating. This is the final thought? That was the final thought. This is your last chance.
Shit. 59. 45. You went the right way!
Yeah! 31. 31. Man, I was gonna go 35, but I couldn't remember what the lowest one that we did already was.
I mean, he said that it tasted good, though. Right, he just couldn't smoke it. So, just to be clear. The pizza tastes good.
I can't eat it. I just can't. It smells nice. The cold draw.
He said it was cold drawing the entire time. The entire time. So it's like an incense. 35.
Exactly. It sort of smolders at the end, but no smoke comes through. Right. I mean, the thing's like this long.
Wow. Yeah. That's 20 inches right there? Six inches.
No, it's 20 inches. Yes, that's about 20 inches. About 20 inches, short of two feet. You didn't get the joke.
Yeah, you messed it up. You actually went the other way. Yeah. Okay.
