ACHP Episode 575 Sorry No Room!

ACHP Episode 575 Sorry No Room!

Episode Summary

Episode 575 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast brings host Mike Palmer, co-host Mike Szczepankevich, and masked engineer Phil McGuffey back together after Phil's paternity leave. The show opens with the usual off-the-rails banter — a missed pediatrician appointment, the ongoing mask auction on the CH Pod site, and a run through YouTube listener comments covering everything from the 2027 eclipse trip to Egypt to a Cigar Aficionado feature on Davidoff's CEO and a roughly 20% increase in Zino sales. Listener questions also prompt Phil to sort brands into his "northern vs. southern" cigar-company taxonomy, placing Tatuaje firmly in the north, Hooten & Young in the south, and Room 101 in a category of its own.

The Florida-man news block covers a Central Florida man who took a plea deal after an indecent exposure arrest involving a vacuum cleaner, a Sanford McDonald's employee arrested for pulling a knife over a customer's missing fries, a fatal Siberian tiger attack at a drive-through wildlife park in China, and the discovery of a new orange-lipped colobus monkey species in the Congo.

Cigar news focuses on two releases. Fratello is launching Cowbell, a Swiss-market exclusive: a 5x50 robusto with a pigtail, Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, Cameroon binder, and Dominican/Nicaraguan filler, rolled at La Aurora in the Dominican Republic, priced at 16 CHF (about $20.30 USD) in 20-count boxes with only 4,000 cigars made. Omar De Frias credits his many trips to Switzerland as the inspiration. Second is the La Flor Dominicana Carbon Flower, a collaboration with Project Carbon — a 6x54 toro extra with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over LFD farm-grown Dominican tobaccos, shipping in five-count carbon fiber cases at a $200 MSRP. Tony Gomez explains how the blend was built to echo carbon's solid, textured, ominous character.

The episode closes with "What's the Score?", where the crew guesses a Cigar Press review of the Davidoff Zino Honduras Toro (6x50, Ecuadorian wrapper) — a medium-full smoke with cedar, hay, nuts, floral notes and an assertive red pepper retrohale. The final score: 90.

Here we go. Here we go again. Holy shit, I'm glad I caught that. Yeah, no shit.

I can't see with his mask. I can't look at the screen and down at this thing at the same time. Well, welcome again to A Cigar Hustler Podcast, where cigars are just a starting point. Join me, Mike Palmer, as your host, and in the hot seat today, the co-host, as always, Mike Szczepankevich.

Then in engineering, we have the star of the favorite adult video, You Got It In My Eye, A-Y-E, it's a pirate-themed movie, Mr. Phil McGuffey. Arr. There you go, oh, he's still in character.

Also you had your first podcast invite last night, but you didn't show, so they contacted me and I had to step in, so he sent you a notification on your Instagram, with a link to the stream yard. I actually went to bed early last night, I had an early appointment, I told Palmer about the appointment this morning. Maybe you should have went to bed a little early. Cavity search?

No. It was for the wife. Well, it was actually, it was really for the baby, it was the pediatric, or the pediatrician, but we got all the way there, actually over by your house, like Altamont area, got all the way there, and because we were seven minutes late, they canceled the appointment. That's hilarious, why?

Oh, I told the lady to fuck off. Oh, yeah. They're looking for a new doctor, if you do a pediatric clinic somewhere near the Altamont area. You didn't call them telling you were running late?

No, we did. " Yep. I don't know if at seven minutes I would have made the phone call. Well, I made it when we hit the traffic in the Lake Mary area on I-4.

" And what'd they say? She said that was fine. Apparently it was the five, not the ten that was fine. He was at seven.

So they just canceled your appointment. Yeah, she's like, okay, it was for the circumcision is what it was for. So they only do it at a certain time over there. Well, it's where the Moyal is there, with the Zebel.

No, it's when there's nobody in the office, so you can't hear the kids scream. Right. So, you know, we're there super early, and then the lady's like, oh no, we have to reschedule. I'm like, what?

Do you carry a knife in your pocket? No, it's probably good I don't. Now he should have went down and gone, "Fine, where's the room? " No.

No, I just told the lady the F off. " Sir, we'll do it. We'll do it. I don't know.

This sounds off to me. Seven minutes? Yeah. And Tia called.

It wasn't me that called. Right. He has to say that because she's a lot nicer than me. She was a lot nicer than me.

I bet she is. She was trying to apologize as I was walking out. Please excuse my man-baby of a husband. Dude, it's in the worst traffic area.

It's right over by Sable Palms. Okay. S. I had to go through, you know, going towards Sweetwater.

Like, there's traffic all over the place. Right. 7:30, or 7:40. Okay.

All right. Anyways. All right. As we dive into the latest cigar industry, new sport, current events, business, and the circumcision Of Phil's nephew, whatever crazy stories are making headlines, whether you're a seasoned cigar smoker just looking for entertaining conversations, expect honest opinions, plenty of laughs, and a few unexpected detours along the way, like the discussion of a circumcision.

Finn McGuffey's circumcision. Finn McGuffey's circumcision. On today's show, we have an update to our friend who was caught hoovering himself. I'm now gonna glance over at that as we go.

I got it. All right. Yo, bitch, where are my fries? And I told her to sit down and shut up, now look.

And Mikey has a new cousin. Then in cigars, Fratello likes Swiss Smiths and LFDs making flowers. All that is not enough. We have a cigar press.

What's the score today? Oh! Ooh! But first, Mikey, how do we get some of that CH Pot swag?

Stop it. Ouchies, my knuckles. Quick, camera to me. Like and subscribe, we're reviewing and listening to this show.

com for all your chpod swag, where we have recently released "You Went The Wrong Way" shirt. You went the wrong way. Current auction is... Oh, let me guess.

at $46. - From Mr. Christopher. - So...

- Is that CCW Christopher? - Can I confirm that? Am I allowed to say that? - Sure, why not?

- Yes. - Ooh, then he would own two. - Oh, he's collecting them. - He's gonna have...

- I must possess these masks. - He's gonna have them all. He's gonna glue them all on a big gold glove. - That's nice.

Like Thanos? - Yes. - Yeah, I'm gonna build a comment section on the auction site as well so that you guys can talk smack to each other I think that the people who I'm seeing are in this auction would probably enjoy that. We can log in too?

Yeah, you can log in as well. As long as you're a registered account, yeah. Just need an email address? No.

Oh, you don't need anything? No, you need a full name and stuff. I don't want just an email address. Excellent.

Let me get some bots involved? No. Uh-uh. So yeah, 46 bucks.

Phil's Butterfly Mask. com a cigar hustlers podcast where if you pay for the full year you're gonna get 10% oh yeah it's true i see that applies to everything if you buy two of two like i know somebody bought two lighters and i got the second one 40% yeah buy the second one get 40% off and what's even cooler is the new site yeah if there's three options like if you bought two shirts and a lighter it wouldn't discount the lighter it would discount the shirt oh yeah which is pretty badass so instead of saving like two bucks you actually save you know right it doesn't automatically go to the cheapest item it doesn't ah that's neat yeah i even said hey this is broken it's like no it's not this is what it's supposed to do i said you You know what? That's brilliant. I.

Thank you very much, Claude. I love you. Oh, I love you too, Michael. You are so sweet.

You are the best. You're a great part-time. Preston is wrong. It's not your fault.

Getting into some comments from our YouTube-- Oh, struck a nerve. --section--no, this is stupid, and I'm moving on. At FloridaMan1888, I'm with Triple G. Every time we turn around, another eclipse is happening.

Oh no, I now have the total eclipse of the heart song in my head, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. His wife is now in the process of looking up a trip to Egypt for next year, I sent her a message. Did you really? Yes.

Is that really happening? Well, she goes, "No, no, they're not going to see it in Egypt. " It's the next for three months. Oh, I've always wanted to go to Egypt.

There you go. I really wanted to steal his food in Egypt, is what she said? Yes, that's what she said. I really want to steal the takaki and whatever else they eat there.

The dates. " Yes, Ruckus. Ruckus. Ruckus unchained.

It's true, Ruckus unchained. And now that he's dead, he's unchained. He is unchained, yeah. Officially.

Officially. I like that David Hasselhoffman called me GFU. Right. I thought that would get you on.

Actually, yesterday was the anniversary of poor little Ruckus's passing. Oh, yeah? Came up on Facebook. Right.

I liked Ruckus. We said a little prayer in front of his tiny little urn. Did you? No, we didn't say a prayer.

Oh. You just stared at it? We did acknowledge the day and then we moved on. That was it.

I mean, it's a dog. Yeah. Yeah. It was a good dog.

He was a good dog. Mm-hmm. Mean little guy. At TexasSouthpaw4202 says, "Lots to recap.

" Wow. Diaper Duty. Ooh, that's his new movie, Diaper Duty. "Was waiting to hear Phil's bad McGregor take.

UFC posted his warm-up and he was doing the same move. He looked fine. He injured his good leg. " way um yeah uh at kiwi g man at for kiwi g man says the blow is not related to this podcast have you have just finished reading the july august edition of the pay for play cigar aficionado magazine they've got a four page spread on davinoff ceo that almost 20 increase in xeno sales is It's a shame that it wasn't publicly attributed to law.

It's too bad. You're right. " Well, we don't know what he said. Oh, we don't know.

We're assuming he said that. Yeah. We heard. But we know.

The people on "Cigar Houses" podcast know. Everyone knows. Who's responsible for that raise? He did somebody else's show, and they played our clip from our show for him, where we said it was all him.

Yeah? Yeah. Nice. " Which is what someone like him would say.

Well, which is something that someone that a CEO should say. He would think. Right. Right.

And maybe he did, we don't know. Yeah, we still don't know. We still don't know. So somebody like you could watch that or read it and find out.

" Oh. From 1972. He's right. One, 1971.

Is it '71 or two? I have no idea. Because I think it was later. It was in the 80s.

I would have only been five. What year did Moonraker come out? 1979. Oh, yes.

Mom and his mother dropped us off at the movies. You and Mark Palmer? Yeah, Countryside Mall. We went in and saw together.

You went together? Yeah, we're cousins. At 4, Kiwi G-Man also said, "Phil, before you went on paternity leave, you started to categorize cigar companies either northern or southern. " Phil?

Well, yeah, Room 101's kind of in its own category. They're kind of different. A. guy.

Yeah? Okay. But, I mean, Tatuaje is definitely Northern. Northern.

Yeah. You think Tatuaje and you think Northern. Yeah, because there's people I know that smoke Tatuaje cigars open. All the people he knows.

The three people you know in Buffalo? The sampling. He took a sampling. The Down to Herf podcast crew?

I mean, yeah. He's originally from the North, right? There's more? There's not more.

No, he's originally from the North. Who else do you know Northern that smokes Tatuaje? this guy jack jim jack and john jack and jim john jose the mexican guy jose the four horsemen the four horsemen all smoked at twa hey they're all big to twa guys yeah yeah yeah interesting goes well with all their alcohols so when you say northern you're saying northern american like yankees yeah yeah yeah like yeah from up north yeah okay yeah um yankees who and who and Young's definitely like General Lee, if I can say that. Like a red car?

Can you say General Lee? Yeah. You reference the Dukes of Hazzard or the actual guy? Yeah, Dukes of Hazzard.

The actual guy. Like the one? Well, because their military, General Lee's military, it was the same thing. I mean, maybe like that, just not with the stature removed.

General Lee lost, though. Oh. Yeah, he did lose. Yeah.

He did lose. He's got a big L on that one. Right. Yeah.

Did you fight the Indians or anything, or you got maybe a couple of wins, or just, everybody just knows them for the ones? The Native Americans. Well, back then they called them engines. Engines.

Wow. That was back then. What, do you think he ganged up on like little guys or something? Well, no, but who else were we fighting back then?

Punch down. Spanish? Punch down. The French?

We have no idea other than what they put on a piece of paper. " Yeah. Oh, I saw an article, apparently it's terribly historically inaccurate. Young Washington?

Yeah. Who cares? I'm very disappointed. I liked it to be true.

Did you watch the movie? You wanted it to be historically? No, I wanted to go see it. Was there a cherry tree?

I believe it did that as a child. This is not baby Washington. I cannot lie. It's young Washington.

He's in his 20s. I feel like the cherry tree in history class, he told us that wasn't real. It's true, I think that it might not be real. Yeah.

I'm going with real. That was like a metaphorical... Don't ask your friend, man. It's not that important.

Did George Washington really chop down a cherry tree? Yeah. Tell me what George Washington you're referencing. How do they know?

They don't know. They weren't there. I mean, he's not wrong. I trust it.

You know, you didn't usually used to make fun of my chat GPT. Now it's your best friend. Your chat GPT is weak. It's not Claude.

Well, you're talking to ChatGPT. Yeah, because I ask dumb questions to ChatGPT. No, you ask Claude and he sends you to ChatGPT because he doesn't want to mess with that stuff. He's like, I can't be bothered with your trivial bullshit.

You can't be bothered with your frivolous information you need. Talk to the other one. @iheartboot says, @ihearttripleg, MikeyBDP, Phil, the addition of the Wojtek Bear picture to your handle looks great. Did you do this so that King Mikey would also compliment you?

So you have enough accounts now where you have them all talking to each other? Is that what's going on? Yes, apparently. I have tons of free time.

Tons of free time. What are they talking about on the handle? Probably the picture. And the last one I'm going to give to you is from @epicareansmokes.

Bro, I'm ready for Phil on the podcast. Yes. -And boom. " -He said I didn't have to wear it?

-He did, but we fixed it. -He's not in charge. -Yeah, he's not in charge. -You have to wear the mask.

-Alright, well, I just gotta make sure that there's no no's on this next one, 'cause... -We explained that already now. As he's making those, they are getting better. -Yes, he's working on this thing.

-Stronger, more comfortable. -Yes. -It's a process. -Yes.

Right. When he's not saving people at the beach, he's only working on the mask. Right. Save me, Mitch.

If you want to hear your comment read aloud on the show, simply comment below on our YouTube channel for the time being. And yeah, let's get on with the show. Still recording? Yes, we're recording.

Are we going to do it again? No, we're good. A Florida man who was caught having a sexual encounter with a vacuum cleaner He's getting off with probation after taking a plea deal for his indecent exposure arrest 51-year-old Kevin Dale Westerhold pleaded no contest to a reduced misdemeanor indecent exposure. He wants you to show his cigar, he's smoking.

Charged after police said he performed a sexual act with a vacuum cleaner outside a home in a gated resort community near Disney World. This is the guy that rented the Airbnb and the And then when people were coming around, he was going, he. I believe it was his Airbnb. Yeah.

Yeah, someone rented it from him. Yeah, and then he would go in and hit himself with the vacuum. He would stand out in the front yard with the vacuum. Go to town.

Cleaning. Ba-bah. Right. Witnesses provided photos and videos of Westerhold to investigators of him pleasuring himself with a vacuum in broad daylight.

Doesn't really sound like pleasuring yourself. Well, maybe it's just not your thing. Maybe that's his thing. I'm not a big shop-back guy.

I think it was a shop-back? It seems a little too industrial. Maybe it was a shark. A little too industrial.

Right. That seems dangerous. That might hurt. Maybe something smaller.

Yeah. Maybe. According to a police report, Westerhold has been sentenced to... What do you think he got?

He got probation. Yeah, but how long? Two years. Philip?

Six months. Ooh, you split it. Ooh, you split it, 12 months of probation, fined $271. No, I was closer.

Oh yeah, I was closer, because you said two years. How much do you have at bay? $271. That's an exact number.

Is that to replace the vacuum? Right, that's the cost of the vacuum and the cleaning. And for everyone to go get drunk so they don't remember what he did. In order to undergo a psychosexual evaluation.

That makes sense. Well, let's stay away from the appliances there, buddy. So, I mean, it's kind of interesting to think that this guy actually owned another piece of property and he was Airbnb-ing it out. Well, maybe that was why.

Maybe this is a reoccurring thing and this person is having to call the police. His diabolical plan? Yeah. Rent a house to a family if I like the family.

Because you see photos of the people. Right. You see photos of the people before you rent to them? You ever done an Airbnb?

On your profile usually there's a photo. Oh, I don't have a photo on mine. Oh. Do the people you rent from though do?

Yeah. Yeah, same idea. You could put one on yours. I'm not doing that.

Why? Because I don't want a random guy to shop back their dick in front of me. Well, I see you on the hidden cameras anyway. Wait, wait.

You think that his plan was to buy the house across the street? No, no. He did not live nearby. He just, this was a second property he owned, I don't know where it is.

So my guy could rub one out? So he would just show up in the middle of the street? That was part of his dive ball. He goes in the yard and he waits, you know, knocks on the door, here to check on things.

It's a little, like, John Huzak kind of thing, huh? Leave him alone, let him finish. Just wasn't holding up the speaker. It's wild.

Honey, do not use the vacuum in the house, whatever you do. Yeah. Don't empty it, for God's sake, don't open it. Oh my God.

so like how do you how do you how do you go on probation for that have would he take away all his vacuums like what well he's having the uh psychosexual evaluation and he pays it 271 dollars and 82 cents or whatever it was right yeah and then he has to uh you know for 12 months not be caught having sex with a vacuum does the police officer go in and inspect the vacuums what happens he probably has to go in once a week you know and on top of the evaluation he probably gets a piece He's got a piece of paper from the psychotherapist. Are there any vacuums present in this home? Maybe that's it. Yeah, maybe they can do a spot inspection.

He's given a broom. We're in here. We're in here. Well, I mean, it would have to be a vacuum with a hose, so, I mean, as long as he has like an upright, I guess that would be okay.

You find someone's just brush. What's this Dustbuster doing in here? Dustbuster is a small... Yeah, well, we don't know.

Maybe he's Asian. Was he white? I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. Oh my God. We apologize. To our Asian listeners.

For Phil's outrageously racist outbursts. The comments of our engineer do not reflect the opinions of a Cigar Hustler podcast, its owners, or the stars of the show. This is why he's in the mask. Right.

This is why he's in the mask. If you all want to know why, that is why. That is why. Do we have a lot of listeners in the Asia continent?

Yes. Yes. Oh, wow. Not anymore.

Not anymore. They all just click, it's off. We're done. I don't even know what- What'd he say about us?

Yeah, I don't even know what bing bong means. I apologize. I cannot believe he said that. I'm going to write that nasty rudder.

You're adding an R's now. No R's. They don't do R's. All right, let's get off of that.

Yeah, we're moving on. Alright, police arrest a McDonald's restaurant employee for: He's in trouble. What'd he do? A McDonald's guy?

McDonald's employee. Oh, he used the ice cream machine on his thing thing. On his thing thing. He threw fries at a customer.

Ah, you paid attention to the intro, you know it had something to do with the fries. " During a dispute over missing french fries from his bag. That was so diabolical. That's amazing.

Both of you. Michael Benson, 23, was taken into custody in a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Sanford, just right over across the bridge. Which one?

Police were called to a disturbance at a McDonald's on French Avenue. So it's right there downtown. Oh, I go to that one. Yeah, it's that one right there with the big drive thru.

No. That had the bullet holes in the sign forever. Oh, Lord. Oh, Lord.

Oh, we stopped there one night with a drunk Keanu, and he got like four burgers. Yeah. Clearly, there was a drunk Keanu last night. Oh, yes, there was.

Downstairs, yeah. Oh, he popped upstairs, because he saw that I had the lights on. Right. Do you have his shoes off?

Uh, he was very giddy. Very, very giddy. Yep. Oh, a little giggly.

Just after Midnight Sunday, the customer told officers he had initially gone through the drive-thru and ordered a meal, but soon realized the fries and drink were missing. Dun, dun, dun. Common, common. After going inside to complain about the incomplete order, the customer said he and a restaurant manager got into a heated argument.

" Yeah, yeah, yeah. What time was this? Midnight. Oh yeah, it was one of the drunk people from downtown.

Right. The manager eventually walked away to correct the order. The customer said, Benson told police, he became involved in the argument after the customer struck the counter with his hand, With his hand and yelled obscenities at the employees. Yeah, this guy's an asshole.

Right. That's what he yelled? Benson stated that due to the previous experiences and because the customer was larger than him, he felt threatened, the police report states. Benson stated at that point he lifted his shirt.

" I mean, you know, listen, I'm leaning towards the employee on this one. Yeah, at this point, I am too. Yeah. A large man comes in, slaps the thing, yells and screams, calls obscenities.

When we say large, are we talking about like Debo, or are we talking about like Fat Bastard? Who cares, either way. I don't give a shit. He's bigger than Mr.

Benson. You know, have a little bit of respect. And Mr. Benson is how tall?

They don't say, he's a tiny man. All we know is that... If it's the actual photo, he's a thinner man. Listen.

People make mistakes. It's not the end of the world. You just gotta climb out of your car and get your fries. Right.

If you just go in and tell them, "Look, there's no frying, no drinking here," they go, "Oh, we're very sorry. " This is the 10th time this week, damn it. Right. It's not like they said, "Hey, listen, I'm sorry.

" You know, kind of like a C-section or whatever you're gonna have done today. The customer told police he and Benson continued to argue until he eventually received his food and left the restaurant. Police recovered the knife from the manager and collected it. " He collected it as evidence records show.

Benson, who was days away from completing a year-long probation stemming from an unrelated battery conviction. Sorry. He was so close. He has a history of this, apparently.

Oh man, him and the vacuum cleaner guy are gonna be good friends. He's being held without bond at Seminole County Jail. Without bond? Without bond.

Wow. What are we doing? He violated probation. Yeah, he violated probation.

Who narked on this guy? You know what I mean? Probably his buddy that was asking for the fries. Yeah, the guy who asked for the fries.

Yeah, but so what? He got his fries, called the police. Look, I just didn't get my fries. This bastard pulled a knife on me.

okay so look guy comes in right police come in and say do you have a knife no man oh because man this guy said you're gonna stab him manager is that true like no this guy came in irate pissed off about his fries all right have a good night like this it's just a he said she said at that point you know yeah but i feel like when they walked in there was probably the knife pulled the other guy was choking him out kind of that's not what happened that guy said they weren't I'm not shooting one of your movies. I'm calling 911 on my fries. There could be some type of video surveillance the police might have asked for at that point. I'm sure.

It's inside a McDonald's. Again, same scenario. It's not working. It's not working.

It hasn't worked for years. This has to be a problematic McDonald's though. Yeah, from where it's located. All I'm saying is, you just gotta back your employee.

It's, you know, like, this guy, I don't know. I'll be like, dude, you need to fucking, after the dust settled, I'll be like, don't bring your fucking knife, keep your composure, people are assholes, right? But I'm not throwing this guy, this isn't a scenario where I throw the guy under the bus, I just don't. This is an in-house issue, you know?

And you handle it in-house. Well, that's the way, yeah, I mean, that's the way you would handle it. I've told the story before, I called five people and if the police call you, say I was with you, and you're the only one that said, okay. Yeah, I mean...

" Yeah, it's very stupid. I just don't... This doesn't need... This poor kid...

I mean, whatever. It's not poor kid, but... Like, this guy needs some guidance, right? And no one's helping him along, and I don't know.

Well, after they ran Watson Warrant check, and priors... Give me your ID, kid. Or some fries. Oh, man, you got the knife on you, and you're on probation.

Oh, dude, you're days away. Yeah, come on, man. Dude, you're almost there. I'll tell you what, we'll give you a head start, I'm gonna turn around, you run.

Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. I'm gonna count to ten. You would think too, like the manager kid, Benson, Benson. Benson is the kid with the knife.

Benson. You would think Benson would be like, man, I'm only a couple of days away. Let me not put the knife in my pants today. Let me not take the knife to work.

Well, that's what I'm saying, like, there's no, there's no help. This guy's got no you know no one to help him along so now he's in jail no bail h-block yeah well it could be worse tell me okay what seemingly started as a domestic dispute at Bandling Wildlife Park in Beijing China turned deadly after the woman identified only as Mrs. Zhao exited her vehicle to confront her partner in the driver's seat inside a Siberian tiger enclosure how how it's a drive-thru thing They were in the Siberian tiger section, a Siberian tiger quickly attacked the young woman and the footage shows it pulling her away. Her mother, who was sitting in the back, also exited the vehicle to attempt to save her.

A second tiger ran up and grabbed the old woman and dragged her away. The older woman died immediately. Death this way, because the tiger's grabbed you by the neck. Desperate attacks by the park staff.

Bandly employees managed to save Mrs. Zhao, who was transported to the hospital with serious neck injuries, but her mother died. 25 million won, which is Chinese money. About $20 bucks?

Eh, about $800. Intended to cover Mrs. Zhao's funeral expenses, costs for her dependents, and consolation compensation for other family members. So the entire family is making money off this dead old lady.

$800 bucks? Well, it's a little more than that. He's over, he's kidding. Oh.

I was exaggerating. Are you gonna bury her or are you gonna burn her? I don't know, you can file a lawsuit in China. Yeah, you can.

Yeah, 'cause they're, uh... Yeah. But, you know, uh... Communists.

Yeah. Yeah, it's communist. What do you think? Should we flip a coin today?

What do you think, guys? Yeah, because if you file a lawsuit over there, I think they just like come to your house and off you. How do you get out of the car in a tiger enclosure? I guess she got so mad she wasn't paying attention.

She was pissed off at who? Pissed off at, it says partner, but I read the version of the story where it said her husband. What was? Well, he's still her husband.

She's alive. Unless they got divorced. Probably after that thrashing, I'm sure there's a lot of problems going on. That dude saw his mother-in-law get dragged away and it was like, thank God.

Yeah, what a relief. Oh my goodness. Looks like my wife might be fine. I don't know.

I ain't getting out of this car. I'm not getting out of this car. Open the door one more time. All my problems are about to be solved here.

The third tiger's going, just one more, just one more. Dude, come on, come on, come on. Chinese take out for everybody, guys. Oh, man.

Damn. He unlocks the door. Click, click. Yeah.

After they get out, he locks it to the park, let me in, let me in, I don't hear a thing, you guys hear anything? Why is only your window going down? The 6,000 acre facility located near a renowned stretch of the Great Wall of China permits guests to drive through animal enclosures. The park has a troubled history of severe safety incidents.

No kidding. In 2014, a security guard who ventured out of his patrol vehicle was fatally injured by a Bengal tiger. Oh, he's gone. And then in 2016, an employee was killed by an elephant.

Maybe the drive thru is not a good idea for this park. I want to go here. Right. Now it's called "die or survive".

It's called "Jumanji" is what it's called. The park was ordered to halt all operations by yangling district authorities following the incident in July. The investigation determined that the incident was not its responsibility, and the park reopened in November that year. Poor Lings.

It's not your fault. It's okay. You open back up. All those self-driving tours are now banned.

That's probably a good idea. Yeah, you get all those Jamaican guys bringing them in. You guys want to see the tiger? Come on.

Open your door. Open your door. Tiger, run up the car. You shut the door real fast.

It's funny. That dude diabolically waited until he got into the lions or the tiger section. He's like, you know what? I'm sleeping with your sister.

Yeah, go pet them. Yeah, right. Like, oh yeah? Make me get out of this car.

Yeah, Chinese fire drill. You know where we go today? To the zoo. It'd be fun for everyone.

Saddest day in his life. He's like, What, she lived? Oh my god. Geez, I thought it was going to be done with both of them.

You know how long I sat in that tiger enclosure? I'm not leaving. I'm not getting out of this car. I'm not leaving.

I'm going to get you out of this car. All right, a newly discovered species of monkey with distinctive orange lips has been discovered deep in the forests of the Dominican Republic of Congo. Really? Craig, they got a hold of the Cheetos.

It is that color orange too. A small primate called Colobus congenesis was found in the Lomani National Park in the country's central east and is disguised by its pale markings around the mouth. The monkey has been occasionally been sighted by locals and given the informal name Likwele. But it had not been officially declared as a distinct species until the findings were published in a scientific journal on Thursday.

The species was first photographed by conservationists in 2008 with the image that only captured part of the animal raising speculation that the monkey was a new variety. The monkey's black fur with pale markings around its mouth and a white perennial patch is unlike those of any known primate species in the area. A new monkey, a new monkey's been found. I like that that made the news for you.

I need another small story, because Cigar New's a little light. Cigar New's a little light. Cigar New's a little light again. Orange lipped monkeys.

It's a cute little monkey with orange lips. Yeah. Yeah. It's about three feet tall.

It's not tiny. Monkeys can be mean, though. Three feet tall? Yeah.

Yeah. It'll be, you know, about like... Dude, that's tall. That's a pretty big monkey.

Three feet. Yeah. It's a good size monkey. It's not like one of the little capuchins or anything.

One of the little cute ones. Yeah. But the orange lips are funny. That's funny, it does look like they've been eating Cheetos.

And we just discovered this one. They found them, yes. Well, they found them back from whatever the date was, but now they've seen more of them, so like, oh. Now there's more.

Now there's more in the Congo. They're mating. Apparently. Okay.

All right, on to Cigar News. Fratello Cowbell, exclusive launching on August 1st. Ding. Next month Fratello is releasing a new limited cigar, but you'll have to go to...

Where are you going to get this? The moon. Cowbell? It's called Cowbell.

Where would I go for a cigar named Cowbell? From Fratello. From Fratello. Tobacology?

Yeah, I was gonna guess. It's a country. Oh. Yeah, not a shot.

Does Brett Fry have his own country? Does Brett Fry have his own country? Does Brett Fry have his own country? Maybe, I don't know.

He might at this point. You gotta go somewhere. Dubai. Dubai?

Or did you say, you gotta go somewhere to buy? - Who said Dubai? - Germany. - Phil?

- I'm gonna go with, since we're on Chinese stuff, let's go to China. - Switzerland! - Wow, the one that-- - Cowbell? - Kinda odd to make a cigar just for Switzerland.

- Yeah. Why didn't you release a cigar and call it neutral? - Don't know. Or knife.

- Ooh, or watch. - Oh. Or Swiss Miss, which I said as a teaser in the beginning and nobody paid attention. You did.

I didn't understand that. Cowbell is a 5x50 Robusta with a pigtail made from an Ecuadorian Connecticut seed wrapper covering a Cameroon binder and filler tobaccos grown in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The new cigars are being sold exclusively at Swiss retailers and they are made at the La Aurora factory in the Dominican Republic. I've lost count of my trips to Switzerland, but not my experiences, said Omar De Frias, founder of Fratello Cigars in a press release.

That's where the inspiration came from, and prepare an exclusive for our partners in Switzerland, and the Fratello Cowbell was born. Each cigar is priced at? Okay, we have Freedom Dollars and CHF, which I assume is Swiss dollars. Sixteen Freedom Dollars.

Twenty. Freedom Dollars? Yeah. Phil is right, if you would have said Swiss, you would have been correct.

30 American. A bing bong. And they're being sold in 20 count boxes. A total of 4,000 cigars have been made.

Fratello cigars are distributed by Impecore, Gibberche, in the Swiss market. There's no vowels. What's the name? Impecore, there's one vowel.

Gibberche. G-M-B-H. G-M-B-H. No vowels.

Niner. And the Swiss market. Okay. Doesn't say why I called it Cowbell.

I like to buy R-L-S-T-A-L. I need more Cowbell. More Cowbell. That has a picture of a cow on the band.

Bing, bing. All right, La Flor Dominicana Carbon Flower heads to stores. Ooh. The collaborative release between La Flor Dominicana and Project Carbon.

What's Project Carbon? Probably the carbon fiber cases that are being made. Oh. When they said a collaborative, I assumed they were in on the cigarette.

I assume they were in on the cigars, too. You're right, there is one in the... They made the cases. So it could have been called the Leather Project or something.

Project Leatherers? Right. The Project Leather Maker? Could have been.

They're beginning to ship to stores. Are we getting these? Yeah. Oh, with the carbon fiber cases.

Yeah. It's called carbon flour, combining the floor, part from LFD's name, and carbon from Project Carbon. Oh, isn't that nice? It's lovely.

Hey, Brandt is skipping at them because that's what he did with the Roma. Part of it is name, part of it is somebody else's name. They're doing part of it as a name, part of it is another name. Oh, no.

No? Alright, just checking. Blendwise, La Flor Dominicana Carbon Flour is a 6x54 Toro Extra that uses a Mexican San Andreas wrapper over tobaccos grown on the company's farms in the Dominican Republic. Cigars come packaged in 5-count carbon cases from Project Carbon.

As we mentioned earlier in the story, are you going to sleep? No. You were going to sleep. No, I'm not.

Your eyes were shut. Your head was starting to go down. I was in the podcast last night when you hung up. I did a podcast, too.

You were gone, I stayed on. You were at home, we probably got in bed about the same time. No. Yeah, we didn't.

No. How long did you stay on? Like another hour. You did not.

Yes, I don't. No, you didn't. I just know he didn't because he wasn't there. Altogether, the five cigars in the case have an MSRP of?

How many did we get? I'm gonna say $200. It's $200. What?

You didn't even give them a chance to guess. You guessed right on the nose! But you saw the thing that you ordered them. This one doesn't count.

How many did we get? It doesn't count. It doesn't count. You already knew.

Yeah. You're dreaming this all anyway. You're asleep right now. We let your cheating accounts count on YouTube.

Those aren't mine. Yes, they are. Okay. "We love this collaboration from day one.

Project Carbon is a beautiful brand that I've always admired," said Tony Gomez of La Flor Dominicana in a press release. Oh, I like Tony. "When the cigar was announced in April, the cigar had to be something unique, the project, and made for a special challenge. Carbon is solid, it's textured, and it looms without a sort of ominous presence.

" Well, suddenly, it's where it ends. Are you excited about the carbon flower pill, Bill, Bob, Steve, Chris, Niner? iHeart Boots? Are you gonna smoke the carbon fiber?

Is it Nicaraguan or Dominican? La Flor Dominicana. Welcome to the conversation. It's in the name of the company.

Yeah, probably not. Oh, you don't like LFT stuff? There's only one that I've liked so far. Yeah, what is it?

The Solas. Okay. It's called the Solas. You might like this carbon flower.

Try it. I always try everything once. Pause. He does have enough money to pay for one right now.

Yeah. You want to get that thing back? Did you give it to him already? Was that one cigar is $200?

No, the case. You get five of them. Yeah. Oh, I just want to try one.

Oh, I'm sorry. They're not sold singles. Well, I guess we'll be trying it. Yeah.

All right. Now it's time to play. Uh-oh. Everybody bring it.

What's the score? What's the score? Oh, apparently I didn't put the rest of the thing in. It's such a great intro.

And we really got that part. You okay? Oh, yeah, sorry, I guess you guys are waiting on me. Yeah, I was waiting on you to just do a score.

Just say a vote. You don't even know what the score is. So you're not gonna say the part? I don't, it's not, I forgot to put it in.

I don't remember what it is. Wing it. I don't know what it is. Do it.

Come on. Come on. They guess the score is based on a review on Half Wheel or Cigar Press. As the information gets thicker, the scores get harder.

Or easier. Or does it? Or easier. Or does it?

Yeah. Can you guess the score? That's what he's waiting on. " Today's cigar, from Cigar Press, the Davidoff Zeno Honduras Toro.

The red one. But the red band, I mean the cigar is not red. Phil? Zeno?

Zeno. '87. The company that Law built. '89.

We don't know who did this, so. We don't know who did it. Well, it's one of two guys. Considering the length of the review, I'm guessing Fred.

Davidoff of Geneva is the company. The brand is the Zeno Honduras. It is a Toro 6x50. Origin is Honduras.

The wrapper is Ecuadorian, has an MSRP of, now I'm sure this is a typo, but it says $800. Wow. They have 8,000. Well, I say actually 8,000, but it's 8,000.

Maybe it was 8 decimal and they messed up and put a comment. That's what I said, it was a typo. It's 8 bucks. It's a typo, it's $8.

$8,000. $8,000 for this one. Phil? Tried to trick me, so I go to 82.

89. Clue number one. The cigar delivered a rich, full, medium-bodied experience with dense smoke and a well-balanced profile of cedar, hay, wood, nuts, subtle floral notes, and a touch of sweetness, all complemented by an enjoyable peppery spice. Phil?

85. Clue #2: Construction was very good, featuring a mostly even burn, a long-lasting ash, and only slight draw resistance, making for an effortlessly and consistently enjoyable smoking experience. 89. 90.

While the spice was well integrated, the prominent red pepper note, especially on the retrohale, may be a bit too assertive for smokers who prefer milder or creamier flavor profiles. What are your flavor profiles? 90. I jumped.

89. Final thought. The cigar is an excellent example of a balanced, medium, full-bodied smoke that combines solid construction with a flavorful mix of cedar, wood, nuts, subtle sweetness, and a satisfying spice. While the bold red pepper on the retro hill may be a little intense for those who prefer milder cigars, Fans of a Refined Spicy Profile will find this to be an enjoyable and rewarding smoke from start to finish.

Phil? Let's take an 89. 90. 90 on the nose!

Ahh! Victory! How did you... How did I what?

You already know. I didn't know. This wasn't even a recent review on their page, but they're very short, I have to get creative. Hmm.

All right, I got a one o'clock phone call, let's go. All right. To the guy that doesn't take text messages. Oh, yeah.
