Cheanno, Camacho & a Crack-Flavored Cigar Request | CHPOD 601

Episode Summary
Episode 601 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast finds Mikey back in the chair with fill-in co-host Keanu and engineer Phil McGuffey, all three smoking the Room 101 17th Anniversary ahead of a Patreon review. The crew belatedly acknowledges blowing right past their 600th episode milestone, reads listener comments (including chatter about brokers Jeff Groover and Alex Gonzalez and the Aganorsa "axe" hatchet giveaway), and announces the winner of the site giveaway.
The news block wanders through a tragic Australian search-and-rescue mixup, a reported Sons of Anarchy reunion project in which the cast plays themselves, and a Norwegian boater fined 50,000 kroner for honking his horn at a sleeping polar bear — complete with a currency-guessing game. Cigar news covers Camacho's second "Boldly Built by Masters" Limited Edition 2026, a 6x56 perfecto arriving in September that honors the company's rollers, and the crew debates whether Camacho is trending in the right direction, crediting rep Law's social presence (comparing him to Drew Estate's Pedro) for the brand's rising visibility. They also note Cavalier Genève's new warehouse and dig into Chazz Palminteri's Sonny cigar — named for his A Bronx Tale character — moving from a 2025 single-vitola limited edition at $25 a stick to a four-size Mexican San Andrés regular production line in Robusto, Toro, Gordo and a 6x52 torpedo.
The best segment is an extended, genuinely useful riff on how long it actually takes to blend a cigar. Mikey's answer: it depends entirely on the factory. If a factory has properly aged, well-kept tobacco and a blender who understands how young tobacco's sharp notes will settle over three or four weeks, a legitimate blend can come together in an hour — and the "two years in development" marketing claims are often theater. He walks through the real variables: pre-industry tobacco sourcing, further fermentation in pilones, sample-driven blending, and the risk that the exact tobacco you fell in love with is already sold by the time you commit.
Keanu also shares the craziest request he's ever fielded behind the counter — a caller genuinely, insistently asking for crack-flavored cigars — which spirals into an extended bit about describing callers on a monetized podcast. The show closes with "What's the Score?", where the panel guesses Brooks Whittington's 2011 review of a vintage 1985 Cuban Davidoff Dom Pérignon Churchill: a legendary, hugely expensive stick that opened with spice and earth before going flat, sour and monotonous. Final score: 69. Keanu's 75 beats Phil's 82.

The End. Hello all you beautiful peoples, it's that time again, here we go, two, and away we go. It's so long that I almost have enough time to light the cigar. Welcome to Cigar Hustlers Podcast.
Premium Cigars unfiltered opinions and conversations with no boundaries. I'm your host, Mikey, joined by co-host... Keanu, that's my name. Keanu.
Keanu. And in engineering, I have Phil McGuffey. Phil. Hello, peoples.
Has a confession to make about his change of life surgery. Here we go. Here we go. So, how'd it go?
Super long schlong. Oh, I thought this was a transition. I think he did print it. Oh.
Hey, what are you smoking, man? What is it? What am I smoking? Yeah.
I'm smoking the Room 101 17th Anniversary. Oh, it looks delicious. Oh, don't worry, you have one and so does, I'm sorry, you are? Keanu.
Keanu has one as well. For six years. Six years? Okay, six years.
I was going to say Doug. He has one as well. We're going to be reviewing it on the Patreon shortly thereafter this. Yeah.
Nice. Okay. So let's settle in and welcome to a Cigar Hustlers podcast. Here we go.
On today's show, that's kind of a big difference. It is. Sam Crowe is back. Oh.
Crowe is. Beep, beep. That's $5,000 in cigars, a new cigar, a new warehouse, and said in an Italian accent in parentheses. I don't know why you have to smoke it, but first, Phil, tell me, how do I get some of that CHpod swag?
Bing-bong! First, what you would have to do is, whatever platform you're listening or watching us on, please like and subscribe. Like and subscribe when you're viewing or watching. com, search A Cigar Hustlers Podcast, and check us out, man.
Come have some fun with us. That's where we talk about all the stuff we don't talk about on this show. Is that where the nudes are? Maybe.
Only for promos for his upcoming shows, his upcoming movies. Which is actually a nude of you with my head. You got that picture? Well, Palmer does.
Oh, okay, right. I sent it to him. Okay, so, a couple of comments from yesterday's show. Oh, here we go.
Poor Kiwi G-Man said congrats on doing 600 podcasts. Was that 600? Yeah, that was it. Oh, wow.
That was it. Whoops. They go by so fast. It just kind of flew right in and right out.
I was punching it in last night and I was like, oh, that was 600. So there's that. Yeah. @cw6383 says yes, congratulations on an amazing 600 episodes.
I can't wait for the next 600. We can! Wow, another 600. Yeah.
That's a lot. Yeah. Well, I mean, we're buzzing by it a lot faster now, instead of doing one a week. Yeah.
Yeah. " Yes, he is, and I don't even know if we consider him second best podcast, even though he says he's number one. Yeah. I feel like he's, like, four, four, five, yeah, maybe five.
Bless you. Thank you. " The problem with @iheartbdp is that I think that you didn't log out of your other, you forgot that you logged out of your other account, and then you logged into this account. Yeah.
Um, 'cause not that much lower, you said '91 at Datacash, 2004. Does the Aragonosa has a hatchet? Yeah. Yeah, they did like a promo where they gave away a hatchet.
Oh. Like a hatchet hatchet? Yeah. Yeah.
They called it like the axe, the Aganorsa axe, and I'm like, that's not an axe, it's a hatchet. Aganorsa hatchet. Yeah, but it, you know, it was better. I'm going to give you these cigars now so you guys can light them up.
Okay. I know that you're ready. Oh, shit. Got it.
Tested durability. I can't see you. I don't know what's going to happen here. Go.
Oh. Ooh. Yeah, baby. Got it.
Like Terrell Owens. That was nice. I tried to put enough air on it. I got it.
It was perfect. It was kind of gently floating. You know? It was graceful.
Like the infamous throw from the mom in Sandlot. Not in Sandlot. The rookie. Rookie of the year.
I didn't watch that. You didn't watch Rookie of the Year? I don't think so. Henry Rowan Gardner?
I don't know who that is. He breaks his arm and then he can throw it super fast, the kid. Oh. And then he couldn't anymore?
Yeah. " I was probably eight when I saw that movie. When did that come out? I know.
A long... Yeah, I was a kid too, but you know what's great? Is that he just redid the scene at the Savannah Bananas. Oh, really?
Current age? Yeah, current. he's fatter but as we all are right at iheart triple g says wow no mention of the 600th episode milestone because you know what it's just another day for us that's why that's why it's all blur thousands the mark yep it's all blur at cw6383 also says he will happily drive for mr groover so there you go oh there you go jeff yeah there's your guy he's a great guy um However, he probably needs to keep his job, but, you know, and he says, he also said, I love the hat, by the way, hint, hint, Mr. Groover is the number one rep in the South.
He also, if you didn't catch the previous episode, Mr. Groover said if anybody wrote, the first person to write 91 would win the thingy, whatever he gave away, he gave away a hat and something, I don't know. So, I think that the winner for that was Datacash. I'll verify it, but I think Datacash won that.
At Kratos 899-91, what does the runner-up get? The runner-up gets a high five. Is it a crisp high five? It's a crisp high five.
From the 600th episode number one show. What's his decimal levels at? Do you know how to adjust that? Oh, yeah.
Do you know which one he's at? Not on that mic. Not on the actual, on that. Can you see, look at the little things.
- Hello, echo, hello. - You see which one's him talking? - Need to be closer? - All right, hit, no, that's okay.
Hit mode, hit gain, and then turn it up one. Yeah, there's gotta be an ah, you see that? Let's see if he does it right. - Highly professional.
- When I hit mode, it just says sync. Nope, it's where it ends, all right, I quit. - Yeah, I don't want to, I'm out of here. - I don't want to mess it up.
- Okay, under the laser, don't go too far. This is him? - Yeah. - I can't see any shit, dude.
- Echo, echo, echo, hello, hello. I'm getting so old. - Talk again, camera. - Hello, echo, testing, testing, testicles, testicles.
Testing testicles tonight. Testing testicles? Testing testicles tonight. Perfect.
Perfect. I'm sure you are. I'm probably going to save that clip. Great.
I'm not going to edit that out. No. Well, the crazy thing is that it's on your chair, but no one in it, and he's saying it. Yeah.
Perfect. Okay. At Lance Frazier 4748 says, "Great show. " I know.
- Yeah, you're right, you should've. - Who are we talking about, Jerry? - Yeah. - Oh.
- Yeah, you know, 'cause both of you guys in unicorn masks. - Oh. - Yeah. " Got in touch with him via Instagram.
- Oh, nice, thank you. - At Alexander J. Gonzalez, "No one works harder than Jeff. " I don't know if I'd say all that.
He's probably the hardest working broker. And he's probably the best at what he does. He is. But he's not the hardest worker in the industry.
I don't even know if he's in that conversation. Damn. He works his ass off, but I don't know. He is on the boat a lot.
I think there was an episode where you said that Alex was one of the hardest people, hardest workers in the industry. He works hard. He does. He does work hard.
He does work hard. And Jeff does work hard. As a broker. Yeah.
But is he the hardest worker in the industry? Mm-hmm. I don't know. I don't know.
That might be just a little bit too far. Mm-hmm. @Jace1911 says, "That was a game show introduction. " Yeah, he did two really good clips where he kind of went all out.
All of a sudden, I don't know. When you're on cocaine, are there waves of it or something? Maybe. Yeah, maybe.
It's an instant thing, and then it's kind of like it comes in waves after. Not that I would know. Oh, okay. You wouldn't know?
I don't know. You sure? No? He did bring the boom, though.
There's going to be a drug test after this, Mr. Keanu. Randomly. Yeah, so like he was kind of monotone from time to time, and then he did these two pops.
And I think that what I'm going to do is I'm going to take one of the pops and then add it to the intro and give it to Palmer. Oh, okay. Yeah, I think that it's worth it. And then YouTube SEO experts trying to tell us something.
- Nice. - Nothing for you, my friend. com, The Lounge. - Ooh.
- Now, I got a winner, I got to announce a winner for our giveaway. - Oh yes, winner, winner, chicken dinner. and i'm going to randomly select 27 entries that's it 27 entries over a week okay and let's see who won the prize whatever it is whatever the prize is it's stated on the ch pod site so please be mikey's mom The winner is @epicureansmokes, congratulations, it shows your email, I don't want to spin this. Yeah, don't show everybody's email, nice, we saw it, we saw it.
Okay. Yeah, address? Social Security. Phone number.
Yeah. Sex Origin. So, yeah. So, bro, get in touch with me and we'll set you up for your prize, man.
Congratulations. And then the next prize will be coming soon. So just pay attention to the show and we'll give something else away. Here we go.
All right. Giveaways. All right. You ready to get on with the show?
Sure. Uh-huh. Okay. He's almost done with his 10th coffee.
Yeah, I'm almost there. Okay, so an 18-year-old hiker, Lily Hooper, has been found dead in an Australian wilderness, bringing an eight-day search to a heartbreaking end, and only after her family was originally given incorrect information that she had been found alive. Oh, Bummer. Damn.
Man, way to bring the show down real quick. My God, Palmer. Right, the first story, man. Geez.
I'm gonna skip a lot of this. Tell me when I'm gonna die next, too. God. Can you imagine being contacted like, "Yep, we found her," and she's okay?
Yeah, you know the rules. Yeah, that was one. That was one. That was one.
Come on. Yeah, four. No, three. Three?
Yeah. So here's the reality. Everyone that you say instantly kind of puts you in a smaller category for monetization. That's the problem.
Okay, one and done. We're going broke with Keanu. So we want to be, you know, we want to be above and above. Amscot, for our ads, yeah, maybe not quite target, okay, you know, that's something to shoot for, yeah, in the middle of that, yeah, yeah, it's got cash advance, yeah, we're definitely Amscot, yeah, it doesn't matter what you say, yeah, I don't think we can get a cash advance here, but, no, but, Amscot can, Amscot can, yeah, so you can contact them, yeah, yeah, yeah, we moved on from a check value pond, so we're good.
- Yeah. - Oh, wow. This is the Ma and Pop store down the road. Okay, so, yeah, I mean, there's gotta be some negligence there.
I mean, can you imagine being told that, oh, we found her and she's okay? Oh, yeah. - Our bad. - You gotta really identify the person.
I feel like that's crazy to be like, yeah, we found your missing daughter that's been missing for-- - Eight days. - Yeah, eight days. - My name's Elviva. - Oh, shit, it's not her.
It's another missing person. - Oh, my bad. - Yeah. - Hmm.
She looked like her. Yeah, she was a blonde. She was 18 years old, man. They ever find her?
Yeah, it says at the beginning, 'cause I'm not covering the whole story. 18-year-old has been found. Alive or? Dead.
Oh, dang. Thanks for listening. Well, I mean, you know, 'cause I thought they found not her. Right.
And then, so they did eventually find her, though. Yeah, then they confirmed. That's correct. They found somebody else.
Wow. - BOA. - It's miscommunications. It's just like, it's kinda like when you rely on the government to do anything.
- Yeah, we're the government, and we're here to help. - Yeah, exactly. - Yeah, that's always good to hear. - But I don't know if there's any, I don't know the laws of Australia.
However, I do know a couple of people in Australia that listen to the show. - Oh. - And if they wanna chime in and say, yes, there could be a lawsuit here, I'd like to hear it. - I imagine so.
- Yes, tell us your laws. - Tell us your laws, other than the fact that your taxation on tobacco is... Insane. Which is weird, because I thought they were like a country founded on like, you know, prisoners or something?
They seem like they're really like, I don't know, they seem like they're having a good time down there. I don't know why they're so stern on tobacco. All that stuff. Yeah.
They got the wild creatures. Yeah, they got the spiders that are big, it's just like... Yeah. We never hear anything bad about them.
Yeah. Except for the tobacco part. Well, yeah, yeah. But I mean like, they're not in wars or anything.
No, they really stay out of that stuff, huh? Yeah. It's a long ways down there, so I can see why. Yeah.
It's pretty far. And they're protected by their animals, so you can't really infiltrate. Ever seen a kangaroo fight? It's insane.
Yeah. Crocodiles. That's where Crocodile Dundee came from. That's right.
Yeah, that's Steve Irwin. Steve Irwin. He's dead. God rest his home.
Yeah, he didn't make it. Stingray. Stingray, yep. Straight through the parks.
Oh. Okay, next story. Stop with the death. Wow, what a start.
What a first story, man. So, Sons of Anarchy, the cast of Sons of Anarchy is coming back. Oh. Have you heard about this?
No. I don't know if it's true or not, but this is what Palmer told me on this thing. That's what it says. Yeah.
And what they're doing is they're making a new movie or a new show called Legends or Legacy, something like that? The Fathers of Anarchy? I think that would actually make sense. Yes.
Like a prequel? Now the Sons are older, so now they're the fathers of anarchy, granddads of anarchy. The problem is that a lot of these people are dead in the show. Yeah, I mean, you know, you can only...
the grandkids of Dan are here then. So you can't really bring them back. Yeah. You know?
Yeah, you can't bring back Jacks. Yeah, he... spoiler alert, if you didn't see what happened 15 years ago. Yeah, just a little.
He took his motorcycle and drove right into a semi. Right. Oh. Have you watched the show?
I've seen episodes, like the first one, the second one. He likes to live the life. He doesn't like to watch the life. - Yeah, we don't need to, you know, get into that.
- We can't air this now. - So you never watch the show? - I've seen like the first two or three episodes pretty much. - How have you not watched the show?
It's a great show. - Yeah, I've heard great things. I mean, I haven't seen that. I haven't seen Breaking Bad.
I've heard great things about that. - Never seen Breaking Bad? - Never seen Breaking Bad. - I mean, to be fair, I've never seen it either.
- I've been watching The Bear. Have you guys seen that show? - Yeah, I'm all done. - That's a good one.
- Oh, you're done? - Yeah. - I'm on the fifth season. I'm on the last one.
- Isn't it like a chef show? - Yes. - It's really good. We're talking about two different types of shows here.
No, that's The Chef Show. No. All right. Yeah.
Well, The Bear is. Oh, you mean Breaking Bad is? It's basically Sons of Anarchy, The Chef Show, right there. Yeah.
It's the same thing. I guess you could maybe say Breaking Bad is like a Chef Show. They're both cooking something. Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, right? You know? I don't know how you guys have not watched either one of these.
I'm going to be watching Breaking Bad soon. The Bear is very good. Great dialogue, you know. Yeah, yeah.
He couldn't get past the first episode. He was like, it was just, there was too much going on. It was too stressful. I had to turn it off.
There are a couple of uncomfortable-- I was just like, oh, it's just my family. Like, what are you talking about? This is normal. Yeah.
This is everyday life for me. I'm gonna watch this show. It's my safe space. Yeah.
I get it. So this show, apparently, it's called Legends. And what's happening is they're actually playing themselves. Like real life?
Yeah. Oh, OK. It's like this wild thing. Like they get caught up in worse stuff than actual things that occurred on Sons of Anarchy.
So the actors are playing themselves? They're playing themselves. Oh, interesting. Yes, that's what this says.
Is it true? I don't know. Because they can't remember their lines anymore? I'm gonna Google it.
Like we're gonna wing it, guys. Get out there. Your guys are getting gunned down. This is what's gonna happen.
- I did see something recently about the cast of Sons of Anarchy, but I don't know if it was this. - I didn't hear anything. - It is true. - Really?
- Yeah. - Who's doing the show? - It's not that Kurt Sutter guy. - Oh, okay.
- He's not doing it. - So that means the original cast, the ones that are dead, could still be in it, 'cause then it's just the actors, right? - Yeah, they are still in it. - Oh!
- Katie Seagal's in it, Ron Perlman's in it. - Wow. - Yeah, all those normal guys. Ron Perlman is fucking badass.
Kim Coates, Theo Rossi. You just surpassed three, so stop. I know. No more.
I don't think anybody heard it. No, they heard it. They heard it? I didn't say it.
No, don't say it again. I can't say it again. That'll be four. Is, wait, is the word I said a curse word?
Is that, not the first one. B-A-N-F. B-A-D-A-S-S? Damn it.
Yeah, you can't say it. Does that count too? I don't know, just stop. I can't, I'm just gonna stop talking.
You think badass is bad? Is that? Yeah, I think that, yeah, I think that counts. I think they said it on Disney Channel when I was a kid.
Yeah, that's fine. What Disney Channel are you watching? I remember watching it, and I was thinking, did I just hear him say that? What Disney Channel are you watching?
Sopranos. This was Wizards of Waverly Place. Wizards of Waverly Place? I swear, I heard him say, I mean, he didn't say "badass," he said, at this point we're saying it now.
I think he said, "that hot-ass something-something," and I was like, whoa, what did he just say? We're back down to the pond place. Yeah, we're value pond. Yeah, we're value pond.
Okay, we know that that word counts. Maybe. We don't know. We'll find out.
I think that we're okay. I feel fine. What's the worst thing that happens? They take away our five dollars?
Yeah. Yeah, then we can't watch Wizards of Waverly Place anymore. Yeah. The 20-year-old show.
Other than The Bear, what are you watching right now? Reacher? Well, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia just came out, their new season. They came back?
Yeah, they still make stuff. Has it been ongoing this whole time? It's been going, yeah, since 2006, I think. Danny DeVito?
Danny DeVito. He looks really good still. He looks the same exact way, man. Really?
Yeah, soldiers' blood. Like Penguin style or like twins? Penguin style almost, yeah. Like surprisingly, like the last season he looked old.
Do you know what he means when he says Penguin style? Does he look like the Penguin? From the Batman, yes. He was the Penguin.
Yes, he was the Penguin. Yes, he was the Penguin, yes. I've seen it. Michael Keaton.
Okay. Yeah. I mean, it's been 20 years. I've seen it, though.
Okay. So he looks more like that? Yeah. That's pretty bad.
Minus the makeup? Minus the makeup, yeah. No, you know what? He looks like it with the makeup.
So he's showing his age now. No. Okay. But yeah, those two are about it.
But they didn't release the whole season at once. It's just the first two episodes. Yeah. Okay.
Funny? Yeah. Still holds up. Very morbid.
Very funny. Are you still watching Black-ish? What is it? Black-ish?
Yeah. Are you still watching that one? I've never seen Black-ish. Yeah.
You lie. You talk about all time on stage. Are you still watching the transitioning documentaries, or...? Just curiosity about what's gonna, what's to come?
Maybe. It's already arrived. Okay. All right.
Back to the show. Final news story. A boat operator in Norway was driving a boat, and he saw a polar bear. Oh, on to the polar bears again.
And somebody honked, the bear was sleeping, and it was like on a little glacier, naturally, Coca-Cola style, and then what had happened was, supposedly, somebody honked the boat horn, woke up the bear, the bear freaked out, ran away. Okay. So they thought. And then what happened was somebody snitched that the horn was blown, and that they upset an endangered bird.
And the person that blew the horn has a $50,000 Norwegian kroner fine. Wow. Wow. S.?
S.? 70,000? I'm gonna completely guess. That's way, like you just don't know.
Yeah, you're way off. You're not a currency guy. Not at all. I don't know anything about Norwegian kroner.
10,000? What is it? You're at 10? Where are you at?
10 or 7? I feel like if you touch manatee in Florida, what is it? It's like, what, $5,000, $10,000 fine? Okay.
- I don't know, how do you know that? - So, I'm gonna guess, and that's-- - I like that you know that often. - Yeah, yeah, how do you know that? - Don't ask.
So, I'm gonna guess that equates to probably $15,000. - Okay. - Phil? - I'm definitely going about $30,000.
- $30,000? - Yep. - Okay, Keanu wins. - Oh, wow.
- It's about $5,300. - Wow. - Their money's worth nothing compared to him. - Well, I guess about that of a manatee is what a polar bear is.
Well, I guess you're not touching the polar bear, if you get to, you know. But, I mean, I'm sure that the terms are the same as, like, violating its space or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What I'm finding puzzling about this story is they blew a horn probably in the middle of nowhere.
So, how did anybody even see these people? Well, there was people on the boat, and somebody that was in the boat reported it. Oh, a friend of theirs. Snitches get stitches, right?
I mean, it wasn't necessarily a friend. It could have been, like, a tour boat or something like that. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure it's in here, but I'm not going to read it all.
Yeah. I'd much rather just cover it this way, it feels better. It feels more... It's a little flowier.
Yeah. Now that I've dialed in a whole week of this, and I've finally figured it out, how to do it right, and then I'll go back to my original chair. Yeah. Yeah, that's how it works.
Very comfy. You become master level, and then boom. Yeah. Yeah.
It is comfy. Stiggy was better. But, I mean, how do you feel about that? The polar bear, the guy who came before you, right?
Well, I better bring it. I better bring it. How do I feel about it? I don't really care.
I'm indifferent. It means nothing. I mean, it's kind of like, I guess this outweighs the girl that was missing for eight days. I mean, it was able to finish it off, right?
He's really hit some dark stuff today, and then he polishes off with the polar bear getting awakened in slumber. I'm still surprised that in this whole week we've heard nothing about the Carmelo Anthony case or the Tupac Secure one. So then give us the update. What's going on?
No, no, I mean like I haven't been really watching it myself. Tupac's dead. Yeah. Did you know?
Yeah. Well, I did. Well, I did come up with a little thing the other day, but I think we talked about it off-camera, Mike. Oh, with the what?
The Suge Knight thing? Yeah, yeah. Where Diddy. Yeah.
Diddy. Diddy is now in the mix because of a LAPD detective? He's now in the mix? I think he's been in the mix since the guy got shot.
Yeah. Well, before they thought it was Shook, right, that ordered the hit. But this detective has now confirmed that it was Diddy. Allegedly.
Well, yeah, but on Stan, under oath, he said it was Diddy, and he put him inside a deli on Sunset Drive. Yeah. And who he was talking to, like he said names and everything and the amount was a million dollars for the hit. Wow.
He's got a whole thing, so. Because, yeah, actually I do remember that. There was somebody that came forward that said he was a part of, was it Tupac shooting? Yeah.
Like a couple years back? Yeah, well, there are cases going on right now. Yeah. Or was this biggie I'm thinking of, I can't, I don't know.
Let's see here. The claim that Sean Diddy Combs had a role in Tupac Shakur's death stems from statements made by murder suspect Dwayne, Dwayne Keffy D. Davis. Oh, that's Heavy D.
During police interviews, which were recently brought up in court. So, it wasn't necessarily a police officer that had said it. Can you ask it about the detective? I actually did say.
Oh. Detective says Diddy killed Tupac, and this is what came up. Oh, okay. Diddy says he had nothing to do with it, there was no baby oil involved, so it couldn't have been him, allegedly.
Well, if Heavy D said that, I mean that holds up, the guy was getting barrels of AB oil, so. Well, Heavy D was the big thing, you know, for Diddy's uh, Heavy D? Heavy D? Heavy D?
Heavy D. Yeah, for Diddy's label, well, it wasn't Diddy's label, but the label he worked for. Hefty, Hefty, Hefty, Hefty, no? No, it was practically the same thing.
That was close enough. Yeah, not Hefty. That's a cool rap name, I thought, but. Okay, well, claim it.
All right, well, so that's all you got? Nothing else there? No, that's it. I've seen like little clips on Facebook about this Carmela Anthony thing, but I don't really follow it, because I think it's kind of crazy.
What is it? Tell me what you heard, that way we can get yelled at later. This is the one, we went over this. Remember this is one of the kids with the stabbing on the track meet?
Remember the? Yeah. Yeah. I remember the story.
Yeah. Okay. So now the trial is going on. Okay.
And basically like, you know, it's going back and forth like, oh, you know, what do we tell our kids? Do we tell them not to protect themselves or what? Because they're saying that the knife should have never been on campus. Of course.
Right. Yeah. That's fair. Right.
And then, you know, of course, the child that stabbed the other one, the whole group that's behind him is saying, you know, They should have the rights to protect themselves, blah, blah, blah, so anyways, so then this guy, so this guy comes up, right, and he's like, how about we just, it's like on a TikTok thing on Facebook, or whatever those things are called, reels, and the guy's like, it goes to him, yeah, I don't really watch those. What is this called, is it TikTok? What is it, it's moving on my phone, that's so crazy, what happens when I touch it? Yeah, it's a Gucci.
Oh, it stopped moving when I touch it. It's Gucci, Gucci. Why is this heart filled? " Well, yeah, okay.
Well, listen, he's kind of tapping on the truth of the matter, and the truth of the matter is that people need to be involved with their kids, not only on a parental level, but on a community level. Like coaches, I mean, I see coaches that fail all the time, I'm like, dude, you're not helping them, you're making, this is, no, stop, you stop, right? And like, that's the big, that's the failed thing that's being missed in this conversation, it's like, as a society, we're missing the mark here when it comes to a lot of our youth, you know? And it's really sad to kind of watch some of these clips because they're turning into a race thing, man, and this shouldn't be about race.
This is about the youth, you know, when we're when we grow old and leave this earth, they're still here, right? So you got to teach these kids, man, like, look, these are the things that we can't do, because if not, if you keep doing it this way, this world's going to be pandemonium. You can't stab somebody. I just want you to know, I'm going to bring you to every single sporting event, every practice that I have.
Yes. And I want you to talk to these kids in that mask. Yes. All right.
Perfect. I think that you'll get a great response. It's going to be well received, it's going to be well received. Perfect.
Yeah. All right, you ready to get into some cigar news? Oh, yeah. This is a cigar show, so let's do it.
Yeah. Oh, we do that? Yeah. Camacho is coming out with a limited edition 2026 and it's coming out in September.
Oh, that's next month. Yeah. This is the second one. It's the sophomore release.
Oh, it is a 6x56 ring gauge. Can't wait for the junior. It is something called like Bold and Yadayana. Let me see here.
Oh, that's a good name. Boldly built by masters. oh masters yeah boldly built by masters is centered around honoring the people who make the cigars i feel like we just talked about this no that was uh something else um that sounds like surrounded by champions is what it sounds like yeah sounds like our limited edition you know you know boldly built by masters oh yeah it was inspired by Powstanie you know how do we acknowledge the people you know i was gonna you know you know what i'm thinking You know, Mike, on Facebook, I just saw, um, God, what's that guy's name? It's called a reel.
He used to, oh, no. Or was it a post this time? I saw it on Story. No, I want to say his name's Louie, but it's not Louie.
Who is the guy that we met that had a shop, like, up north? Lou Liga? Lou Liga. So his name is Louie?
Yeah, Louie, sorry. So I was right. And he talked about not a guy. Go ahead.
Yeah, that's exactly what you're about to say. Yeah, he said that how come cigar companies never, or how come cigar brands never acknowledge the guys that make the cigars? Yeah. But there's been that cigar.
What do you think? Why do you think people don't acknowledge? They don't want people to know that other people made their cigars. You don't think so?
No, because most of them probably don't even blend them. Yeah. I mean, maybe I'm giving away too many cigarettes here, that should be part of the patriarchal, but... No, I don't care.
I think that's fine. Yeah, a lot of people don't blend cigars. They just, you know, they go down, they pick A, B, or C, right? Right.
Like, oh, this is kind of what I want it to taste like. Make it so. This isn't even close, but this one sucks the least. What's your name again?
I don't know. Just blend it. AJ. Who are you?
Make my cigar. You know what I've been seeing a lot lately? I've been seeing a lot of, like, it took us two years. Yeah.
A lot of that. It took six years to develop the marketing plan for this. We scoured through 7,000 pounds of tobacco. I've seen that a lot.
With our good news. In different avenues of the industry. And I'm like, it took you that long? Like, what's wrong with you?
Why'd it take you that long? Yeah. Did you, was it created in a month? And you're like, you know what, just table this, I'll get back to it?
You had to learn how not to inhale the smoke? You had to like, what, didn't know how to smoke cigars when you started? What happened? Like, what are we doing?
I don't know if I'm... Two years. Well, they had to let the tobacco age, you know, seven years. Actually, yeah.
In your opinion, like, how long do you think it should take, at the most, to blend a cigar? The answer to your question... Is seven years? Keanu.
Is it depends. Yeah. Really, what it depends on is the factory. If the factory has tobacco, and they've taken care of it, and they have the ability to assemble a cigar from it, it could take an hour, especially if you understand notes of cigars that are made fresh.
There are going to be particular things. If you have people with you, you'll understand that some of those sharper notes are going to really dumb down. Right. Right.
So you got to see through specific things of that blend, and then you can check on it in six months or whatever you want. Yeah, yeah. You could. You could do that totally.
You can check on it in three weeks if you want. Yeah. So when you smoke it, you have to like keep in mind that six months, X amount of time from now, it's going to, it tastes like this now, but it's actually going to taste like this then. I think that realistically what you need to do is you need to have the ability to understand what particular tobaccos taste like and what they're going to taste like right off the table.
And what they're gonna taste like, three or four weeks. If you understand that, then when you smoke the cigar three or four weeks from now, you're just kind of confirming what you thought. - Right. - You know, so with that being said, I think you can make a cigar.
And if all the other hard work is done already, you know, if someone's going to different countries and going to farms and going pre-industry and seeking out tobacco and then bringing it back And then, you know, further fermenting it, and putting it in pallones, and all of that stuff. If all that stuff is occurring, and then you have access to X, Y, Z, boom, you can make a cigar, just like that, right? Now, the caveat to that is that a lot of companies, a lot of factories, don't do a lot of that. They'll just kind of put it together on the cuff, they'll try and acquire tobacco if they need it, or come close to it, right?
Oh, you want that one? No problem. Oh, here it is, right? And what the hell do you know, right?
Takes two years. - Yeah, 75 years. That's what happens in this industry. Oh, I got the rarest cigar, whatever, you know?
- Yeah. - So yeah, it can be done really quickly, or it could take a long period of time. I'd like to guess, I would like to believe that there are some factories in the middle of that that lack the capacity to contain all the tobacco, but would still figure out ways to get you the tobacco And put it together like here's here's what I'm thinking as far as the blend let's go acquire some samples from some different people let's put something together real quick that could take a while yeah and then okay I like all this let's go get the tobacco the problem is if you don't move fast enough that tobacco could be gone mm-hmm right like oh I really like this Brazilian Alaparaca okay well we sold that I tried it last week so gone and then you got to find like what's the closest thing to it yeah then you got it okay you can ask me where where what farm did it come You know where you come from, who's a grower, when you're anticipating the next batch, something like that, or you go fly around to the farm and get ahead of it, it depends on how much you can buy. But none of that really occurs.
Normally you go into a place and you put together tobacco and you're like, and no matter what you made, it was the best cigar. It's your baby. Because your kid is the prettiest kid. Right.
Right? Yeah. Did that answer your question? Can I answer your question?
Yeah, yeah. Okay. Perfect. So, Camacho's coming out with a cigar.
Two years. Boldly built by Masters, the second one. " No, I'm just kidding. "Was to put that experience into the cigar itself.
" Delivering a layered uncompromising smoking experience that captures everything Camacho stands for. So nice. Do you think Camacho is trending in the right direction? Yeah, I think so.
I mean, a lot of people like seeing that stuff. Camacho does it pretty good from what I've seen, you know, like the Liberty series, this series, that series. I think they capitalize on their clientele pretty well. Yeah.
Yeah, at least from what I gathered in here, because, you know, the guys that come in, they like, oh, yeah, I love the Liberty series, I love this, I love that. And so now, if they see like they're, you know, building something that's, you know, inspired by the rollers, it makes sense for their brand. Okay, what do you think, Phil? Yeah, you know, to be honest, Camacho was not on my radar when I first, or even about a couple years ago.
But then when I met Law, I started seeing more about it, I started reading a little bit more about it. I'm not really smoking it, but they look like that they're out there more. Yeah. If that makes sense.
Yeah. So they're what? They look like they're out there more, like social media. That's why I got this headphone piece on.
Yeah. Let's be nice. If you want, we can put it up. Nah, I'm good.
But yeah, so... Yeah. Yeah, I agree with you. I think the law is a big deciding factor in that.
I mean, they have... Obviously, they have a ton of money, so they can throw marketing things behind it. But in all reality, they got a component there that will work his ass off to help develop and build a brand. Yeah, I've definitely seen, like, Camacho I didn't really see as much on social media until I saw, like, Law a lot more.
Right. Yeah. And, you know, he's got those, you know, videos that he's posting, and I'm like, oh, yeah. And then I saw him coming here, and I'm like, oh, that guy.
I know him from Instagram. Right. Yeah. You know who he kind of reminds me of?
He reminds me of Pedro from Drew Estate. Pedro? Yeah. He's a character.
Pedro is a character, yeah. Yeah. And he's really good at what he does. Right.
That's what Law is doing for Camacho. Yeah. Hmm. Okay.
All right, moving on here. There's a story about Cavalier, but we already cover that. That they're opening up a warehouse? Yeah, we, you know.
That's already been stated, I believe. Mm-hmm. Yesterday. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, yesterday. Well, we've got to really be sure that they're doing it. Jeff Gruber just sent me a text. I'm outside.
Of my brother's credit card. Or just text, hey. Yeah. What you doing?
He needs to get a new credit card. So, yeah, so the Genevieve, Cavalier Genevieve is opening up a warehouse. We already covered that. Here's another one, though.
I didn't get this far. Chaz, Palminatari, you know him? No. You don't know Chaz?
Yeah, aren't you guys, you guys are, you know, like... You don't know Sonny? Oh, it's Chaz. Yeah.
No, is he? You don't know Sonny? You never watch a Bronx Tale? The Bronx-ton?
No, a Bronx Tale. A Bronx Tale? No. You just can't leave?
No, no. Nothing. Really? I've probably seen clips, it's like I've never watched The Sopranos.
You know why? It's because every time I talk about these shows to my mom, I'm like, oh, I kind of want to start watching The Sopranos. She's like, why would you watch it? We lived it.
I'm like, oh, well, I don't know. Because it's a good movie. Yeah, there, right. Robert De Niro, you know, that's like one of the greatest movies.
I know who Robert De Niro is. He's a guy. He was in the movie. He was in the movie.
Yeah. Bronx Tale. A Bronx Tale. Ah, I've seen Goodfellas.
It was right before Goodfellas. Okay. So you don't know who Chaz is? No.
Really? What did Chaz do? Tell him, tell him about the guy. He made a cigar.
Yeah. Oh. A Bronx Tale, Sonny Becomes Regular Production Line. Oh.
So he made a cigar called Sonny, after his character, and now it's regular production. It debuted in 2025 of October, it was a single Vitola, now it looks like it's gonna be a Coraline. It's gonna come in four different sizes. It's Mexican San Andreas, it's gonna be a, can you guess the sizes?
Toro. Okay. Robusto. Okay.
Corona Gordo. No. Dang. They don't do that.
See, that's how I know you're a cigar geek. You went right to that. Yeah. Right to that.
I was thinking of the core ones. Toro, Robusto. Perfecto. Now you're going backward.
Dang. Yeah. Boots, go the other way. You're in retail.
Toro. Yeah, what's the most light cigar? What's the size that you see? Gordo.
Yeah. Gordo. And the fourth one you'll never guess, but it's a 6x52 Torpedo. hmm oh that's close i said perfect i was close that's different that's a toro with torpedo base that's kind of close to the toro size which is six by 54 now five by 52 is the robusto and then the 660 gordo uh they're going to be available in 20 count boxes the original 11 edition price what do you think the original price of this thing was 15 no pernelli okay 15 i already know I know the price of these, $25.
You're right. Dang. You knew that. Wow.
Well, Eka used to be the person. Yeah. Wow. It doesn't say the price, though.
It says the original price, $25 per cigar, but it does not state the current pricing for the new ones. I would think that they would maybe come down a little bit, but probably not much. , and now they're making a Coraline. I think they would just keep the same price.
No, uh, maybe. They should have made it now, you just can't leave. Yeah. Oh, that would, see, that's clever.
See? Well, correct me if I'm wrong, Mike, and I know you will. Tell me about champions. That, the Bronx Tale was based off of a true story.
Because Chaz Palminteri is as close as they get. I honestly don't know, but probably. That would make sense. That was a good story.
Yeah. Okay. All right. Well, that's all we got for Cigar News for today.
Oh. Oh. Really? Now it's time for Industry's Favorite Game.
Wait, wait. Before we get to that, though. Tell me. I didn't get to ask Keanu this the other day.
Keanu, what is the craziest question you've been asked as a cigar store employee? Instantly, no. I received a phone call one day. I received a phone call here one day.
Not by me. Not by you. Yeah. I asked if, I still don't know what, I don't know if I can even say what I'm about to say.
Is it something incriminating or? " And I had, I didn't think I heard him right. And I'm like, "I'm sorry, what? " I don't even think that's really a thing unless you're maybe in South Chicago or Detroit.
Wow. Yeah, really name-job in places. Yeah. Wow.
Yeah. And then he's baffled and upset. Like, I'm like, I'm sorry, you're spelling-- you're saying crack, right? C-R-A-C-K.
It's because he's from Detroit. Right? Yeah, yeah. And so then he's just like, yeah, how do you guys not have it?
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. How do you guys not have-- and I'm like, I'm just making sure. We are talking about the drug, right? And he's like, yeah.
And I'm like, I'm going to have to hang up, sir. His name didn't rhyme with Wall, did it? Sorry. No, no.
It was Wall. No, no. It was Wall and Jesse. Who?
No, it's Breaking Bad. Rhymed with, oh, maybe. That's what I already talked about. Oh, who do you think he was?
The guy that took his shirt off and was on the table. Oh, no, no. No, this did sound like this was an African-American fellow that called, so it was not Wall. How do you know?
Yeah, how do you know? Yeah, how do you know? How do you know? Yeah, it could have been a white guy.
I knew you were going to walk into this. I'm not a racist. I'm not a racist. No.
No. You heard it here first. I knew you were going to walk into that. It sounded like it.
Yeah, I knew it was going to happen as soon as I started talking about it. On this show, Keanu, you can't give too much description. Yeah. Yes, you can.
You just do it properly. You can give plenty of description. See, now I can't say the other descriptions. Yeah, it's gonna get worse, it's gonna get worse, I'm good, yeah, so anyway, it was an undisclosed ethnicity of a gentleman who called very politely and asked if he had a crack-flavored cigar.
He was very hood, is what you should have said, sure, there you go, yeah, see that? I never said that. But you could have. I didn't, though.
And it wouldn't have been racist. Now I can't admit if it was or not. Confucius say, when you find yourself in holes, stop digging. Yeah, yeah, I'm clean.
Okay, now we go. Phil's like, you know what, before we go, let me see if I can destroy Keanu. Before we move to the game, let me see if there's something I could say to get him to say something really dumb. And mission accomplished.
Yeah, pretty much. Good job, good job. Thank you. You just solidified yourself as a substitute on the show.
There we go. " Never would've thought. Wow. No, you're just gonna get phone calls.
Yeah. I'll just put your phone number out right here. Yeah. I'm gonna get...
Hey, do you guys have any crack-flavored cigars? Of course. Stop calling. I know it's you, Palmer.
Okay, you ready? Yeah. Now it's time for industry's favorite game. What's the score?
No, no, no, no, no, no. I kinda got it. No, after Groover yesterday, you better bring it, Keanu. Okay, what's the score?
You gotta be into the camera. Yeah, he jumped into the camera. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Yeah, here we go, here we go.
Red leather, yellow leather. Okay. What was that? What was that?
Red leather, yellow leather? It's a theater thing. You wouldn't get it. Okay.
Now it's time for industry's favorite game. What's the score? Yes. There we go.
Can you predict a cigar score from a half-wheel review before it's revealed? We'll give you the clues. You make your guess. As the review unfolds, the answer gets closer, or does it?
Dun, dun, dun. The closest guess wins. That's where you hit that, but that's not going to work anymore. It's okay.
The batteries are officially broken. " By the way, you don't watch the videos, right, Phil? No, why? Did you make fun of me?
No, I make fun of you on the audio. I don't need to add the video for that. No, I didn't. " Oh, you added the fireworks?
Palmer gave me fireworks? No, I didn't add fireworks. What I did was I added dancing unicorns next to them, and then like a rainbow of hearts. There we go.
Yeah. I guess you gotta change it up some. And surprisingly, I got no comments on it. Wow.
Well, now I will get some. Yeah. Okay. April 12, 2011.
Brooks Whittington. Uh-oh. Cuban Cigar. Davidoff Reviews, Vintage Davidoff Don Perignon.
Right away? Yeah. Phil goes first. Because you're the guest.
See, he sabotaged you. He did. I thought he did too. I felt that way.
Really? Oh, you go, Keanu. I'm like, wait a second, that's not enough. I know, I didn't want to say it.
After all the nice things I say about you, you attack me too. And you threw me out of the bus. Wow. Yeah, you're the one that just, he's going to attack you, he's got to counter your bullshit.
You've exposed my racism. Wait, no. No, you were racist all on your own. Wow.
Wow. All right, I'm going to go with 82. For Davidoff. Cuban Davidoff.
Yeah, and the only reason why I'm going with 82, because I would go lower, The Cigar Review, Davidoff, Dom Parion, Country of Origin, Cuba, Factory, El Lagoito, Rappacuba, Binder Cuba, Filler Cuba, Length 7 inches, gauge 47, Vitola Churchill, estimated price somewhere between $300 and $500,000 per. Per, release date 1985. What, how old are you 1985? I was negative 15.
Negative 15. Yeah. You weren't even a twinkle. Nah.
No, you weren't. You weren't even a mistake. No. Yeah.
No, not yet. Number of cigars released, it was regular production, and number of cigars reviewed, just the one. Wow. Mm-hmm.
Phil? Sounds horrific. 82. Yeah, it doesn't sound like it would be all that age and the Cuban seed, 85.
You know, you're saying sounds horrific, and then you're giving it a number that's higher than what Postano, Sumatra, Churchill rated. Oh, well, I mean, just because of the name Davidoff. Just for the record. No, no, no.
Sounds terrible. 82. It's at least one day. I think the Postano should be rated way higher, but because of the name Davidoff, I'm sure they do a lot of advertising.
This is 2011, right? So that's why you gave it 82? Well, that's, I'm trying to guess their number. My number would be like a 60.
I wouldn't even, I don't even smoke that at all. Except for the Little Tins. I'm a liar. I'm sorry.
I smoked the Little Tin of the Nicaraguan that you turned me on to. I like, I like the Little Tins. Yeah. The Little Tins are fun.
I like the, I like the Winston Churchill Bellicoso Panatella. And I like the Little Panatella Scars. Good quick smoke. Uh-huh.
Yeah. The Dark Cinnamon Wrapper. The dark cinnamon brown wrapper sounds absolutely beautiful, especially with that oily, silky texture. Cedar espresso, hay, and rich chocolate also make for an incredibly inviting aroma.
No cocoa nibs. No cocoa nibs, so this is not a great cigar. What's your score? I'm going to stick at 82.
I think I'm going to go back to 90. Clue number two. That opening section sounds like the cigar's strongest moment. The unexpected spice, earth, hay, and wood created a flavorful start, while the excellent burn and steadily increasing strength gave it some redeeming qualities.
Redeeming? What did I need to redeem? It all sounded good so far. I just, I'm confused.
He doesn't understand a lot of words. Okay. Don't think out loud. Okay?
You're gonna hurt yourself. Okay. I am confused because they said this is a Cuban and a Davidoff, but they're saying that this thing is poet. Okay.
Gonna go to 82. I'm sticking to 90. Clue number three. Here it comes.
Desafortunadamente. Okay. The cigar seems to fall apart. Oh, natural.
Once the spice disappears, the damp earth character and muted paper-like flavors make the remaining smoking experience sound flat and disappointing, especially for a cigar with this reputation and price. But because they have a full page, we're still going to go with 82. That's not true. That's not how they do things.
- Sorry. - Oh, man. 83. - Oh, you're coming right next to me, huh?
- Yeah, that's what you did last time. - Oh, okay. - Final thought. - There it comes.
- This is one of those cigars that people dream of smoking their entire lives, due mostly to the aura that surrounds them. He said aura back in 2011. - Yeah, that's crazy. - That surrounds them and the price they command.
Sadly, this cigar never even came close to meeting it's potential, boring, monotonous, and sour. It was a disappointment almost from the very start. If you have one of these that you were saving for a special occasion, I implore you to celebrate with something else. Sell it.
For the same money, I would buy a Dunhill, any Cuban Dunhill, every time. Wow. Wow. Final score, gentlemen.
76. Oh, no. I'm going to say 75. You went the right way.
Boom. 69. Oh, 69. Wow.
Sorry. Nice. Wow, Keanu, so listen, even you beat Phil. Look at you.
Yeah, I'm gonna give you fireworks. Wait, one more time, Keanu. Go ahead, do it again, do it again. Yeah, right at the camera.
Look at that. Yeah. Hopefully there's little dicks everywhere. No, that's not gonna happen.
I'm gonna give him legit celebratory for beating Phil. That was good, but I knew it was gonna be low. I just didn't think you would go on the other side of me. It sounded pretty good when, like, the initial, I was like, oh, it's definitely going to be a 90, and then they said it fell apart.
You can't listen to how it sounds in the beginning. Yeah, apparently not. Think about what it is. Yeah.
Have you smoked a Davidoff? Yeah. Did you think it's in the 80s? No.
Yeah. Keanu's smart. He picks up on my cues. Yeah, I saw the finger.
I was debating between '75 and '77 for no reason. If you would have gone 77, Mikey would have been so angry. Like this means go up, right? Yeah.
Well, he noticed it, I saw him look at it. I'm like, yes. I'm like, 95. 100.
Okay. Do you have anything else to add, Keanu? Thank you for having me on. Thank you for coming on.
Of course. I really appreciate both of you so much. Thank you for still dealing with me after all these years. Oh, come on.
This is like a eulogy or something. Yeah. Well, I mean, we have some pretty morbid stories, so. And this is where you're parting ways?
You going back into solar? I was there for one day, okay? And it was a pyramids game, I'm pretty sure. I told you.
Yeah, I remember, I was like, yo, don't do it. It's not a real job. Yeah. We don't believe, I don't know what Phil says and what he doesn't say.
Yeah. Let's be honest. But he's his own hero. Yeah.
That's all that matters. Oh. Thanks for coming on. You, Siggy, Steve, you guys all did Stellar this week filling in and I don't know, I think we can work you guys into rotation.
I don't see the problem. Does the curse still exist or...? If so, then everybody's gone. Everyone's gone.
Everybody's done. Yeah. That would not be good. Yeah.
What about you, Phil? Anything else? No, just thank you guys for always listening to us and appreciate your guys' comments all the time. And the good ones about me, too.
The good ones about you, yes, like, and subscribe, wherever you're viewing and listening to the show, thank you so much for listening and viewing, and we hope we provided great edutainment for you, as always, every single weekday, and we'll see you later. Ready? Bye! Boop!
