Cigar Hustlers Podcast Episode 281 Manbaco I said What I Said

Transcript

I have a special news, Michael. From the four corners of the world, all the cigar industry news you could possibly need, the Cigar Hustler Podcast Report with Mike Tu. Breaking news, Phil the cameraman was found alive in Nicaraguan, Georgia. No way.

Yes. In a remarkable turn of events, Phil, the adventurous cameraman who went missing while on assignment in the Nicaraguan jungle, has been found alive and well after an intense search and rescue operation. Phil had been reported missing two weeks ago and has failed to return from a solo jeep expedition deep into the dense rainforest of Nicaragua. You gotta work on your Nicaragua.

I said Nicaragua wrong? You say it very bad. You gotta say Nicaragua. Nicaragua.

There you go. How did I say it? His disappearance sparked concern among his colleagues and loved ones who feared for his safety in the treacherous and unfamiliar terrain. Multiple search teams consisting of local authorities paid for by the generous Skip Martin, along with volunteers and expert trackers, tirelessly scoured the jungle, battling harsh conditions and dense vegetation in their quest to locate Phil.

The search effort was further intensified with the assistance of aerial support, including helicopters and drones. Helicopter, Helicopter. After days of relentless searching, Hope was reignited when a search team detected faint distress signals on the radio receivers. They heard what sounded like Celine Dion being played over and over.

The signals led them to a remote and previously unexplored part of the jungle where they made the astonishing discovery of Phil's campsite and crashed Jeep. Phil, visibly fatigued, drunk and naked, but in overall good health was found huddled near his camera equipment, which sustained some damage during his ordeal. He recounted his harrowing experience of getting disoriented and lost during a severe rainstorm that had swept through the area. Phil managed to survive by rationing his supplies, utilizing his survival skills, and keeping warm by huddling to his Playgirl magazine collection.

The rescue team immediately provided medical attention, clothes, and support to Phil before carefully guiding him back through the rugged terrain to safety. " His one friend, Brett of Tobacology, and the global community who had followed the search efforts were thrilled with his return. Upon his return, Phil expressed his deep gratitude to the search and rescue teams, emphasizing their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts He also acknowledged the support and well wishes he had received from people around the world which gave him the strength during this ordeal. As the story of Phil's miraculous survival continues to unfold, the exact details of his time in Nicaragua, jungle yet to be revealed.

However, his experiences serves as testament to human resilience and the unwavering spirit of adventure that drives individuals like Phil to explore the uncharted corners. uncharted okay so he's alive okay he's alive and we have him back today thank god i mean you know that was we have to fill time look at us smile a little a little better so phil phil hello people phil is back ladies and gentlemen all right are we ready phil are you going to go on another jeep excursion do you feel like you've learned your lesson i don't i don't see what's wrong with the The Jeeps. Well, you crash in a Nicaraguan jungle. I feel like if you go, you should probably invite your friends is really, it's really the point of the story.

We all crash. Before you go. Well, if we all crash, there's a better chance for survival. Yeah.

Oh, okay. Yeah. Or at least, at least if you invite us, then we'll, and you crash, we would save you quickly. So Gus, he wouldn't have room for his Playgirl collection.

Yeah. Oh. Yeah. Oh, deep thoughts from Phil.

Deep thoughts, really. Kind of like Karen. She was a little sharper. Yeah.

Maybe she can come back periodically. Like maybe once a month we have cameras. When you're on vacation or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Sometimes vacations would be nice. Rehab. Rehab involved, I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure.

Yeah, my nose is killing me. All right, go ahead, go ahead. Okay, here we go, here we go. Oh, no, you can just skip all that part now.

Okay, on to the fellas. Camera one, please, a rag of both fellas. There's no joke? No, the joke was he's back.

Oh, we found him. A rack above, better overhead garage storage with a rack above. Why must we damage our homes just to have overhead storage? A rack above has challenges status quo by developing a superior overhead storage system that will not harm your home or damage your house or trusses.

It comes with a 48-inch shelf that spans the width of your garage, keeping items within arm's reach, allowing you to ditch the ladder. A rack above will fit any size garage. Suspended telescopic legs go up and down stairs, around hot water heaters, between electrical boxes, and above cars. No, Overcars, but close enough.

That's close. It's called a Rack Above. Yes. Overcars.

That's okay. A Rack Above is the last storage system you'll ever need. A Rack Above is easily assembled and disassembled in any garage. No matter where life takes you, a Rack Above can go with you.

com. com. Nice. The owner and founder of Rack Above would like to come on the show.

Oh, really? Yes. Oh, that'd be great. I told him we had to talk about it.

I don't know how we would do. You can go to two, please, Phil. He wants to come on the show? Yeah.

What does he want to talk about? I don't see how him being on the show for the entire length of the show would go well, but maybe we could call him. You know, what's really kind of funny is everybody wants to be on the show. Everybody wants to be on the show.

Basically, he wants to do a one-hour show on A Rack of O. Yeah, the entire thing. Let him talk about it for an hour. Well, it's a good show.

We would have to contain the segment. You know what I mean? It would have to be a segment. Right at the beginning or whatever.

You could do the ad talking about it and then say, hey. Hey, with us today is. I mean, it might affect sales, though. It might hurt him.

It could go the wrong direction. That's true. It could, I guess, possibly. He's got a likable face.

You think so? Yeah. He's got a face for radio as far as I'm concerned. What are we doing for the Patreon?

Oh, wow. I don't know. What are we doing for the Patreon? Uh-oh.

Oh, hello. Ding. We're doing the Habano Corona Gorda. That's right, we're hammering it home with the Postana Habano Corona Gorda.

Nice catch. As these things are being released at Hogshead Cigar this Friday. This Friday, the 19th, we're going to be in Virginia. Oh, you guys are going to Virginia?

Yes, we're taking industry with you, you're not going. Oh, okay. You have to stay here to do the other show. Yeah.

Okay, he'll like it. So yeah, we're doing that, it's pretty cool. It's pretty cool. So I figured why not end with, you know, before it comes out?

Right. Give it a review? Yeah. Very excited.

Great idea. Very excited. What time, what time you guys get in there? I don't know.

We'll worry about the details later. Well, the event started. They posted the graphic we made today. Hogshead did.

I think it starts at 6:00. Something like that. Something like that, yes. What are we doing before then?

We're getting one. Any special things? What is Virginia known for, like, food-wise? Virginia's for lovers.

That's their slogan. That's their slogan. That's what's on the license plate. That doesn't sound like food.

No, no, it doesn't sound like food. I like food. Yeah. I'm a big food guy.

So I know the beer's a big thing of sushi. It's closer to the ocean. Is it closer to the ocean? Yeah, it's on the coast.

You think they have good sushi? I don't know. I don't think they have good sushi. I don't think there's a big salmon.

I don't think they're well known for their sushi. No. You know what I mean? Hell's Kitchen's there.

Like peanuts or something? What's Hell's Kitchen? No, that's Alabama. That's Gordon Ramsay, right?

Oh, Virginia does peanuts. I don't know about Hell's Kitchen. Let's look it up real quick, what food is Virginia known for? I don't know, somebody better to lock this in though.

Somebody, Hogshead, what's a good food for there? Let us know. Virginia is known for... Lovers.

Yeah, it is, that's what it comes up. Food and drink, Virginia is for lovers, that's what it says when you Google it. What city is Hogshead? Virginia is known for southern style fare including oysters, peanuts, barbecues, Barbecue, Country Ham, Blue Crab, Trout, Apples, and Brunswick Stew.

Ah. Almost everything. Well, don't worry. As soon as this episode comes up, someone will correct us and...

I'm ready to run here! and point us in the right direction. Southern-style barbecue sounds good. With oysters.

Ooh, barbecued oysters. What is Southern-style barbecue? I think that is the sweet barbecue. You think it's sweeter?

Yeah, not the... North Carolina bullshit? Right. With the vinegar?

The vinegar stuff, I'm pretty sure. It's ridiculous. Okay. Oh, when it comes to Virginia, cuisine, our food is intertwined with history as its taste.

Virginia is known for southern, south, including oysters, peanuts, barbecue, honey. Please. I don't like crab, it's too much work. Crab's a lot of work.

Why are you laughing? This is great. He's been talking a lot. He's been reading a lot.

Crab's a lot of work. I love how he's reading it. Like, it's like, it's just it. It's just it.

Dun, dun, dun. So how was your weekend? Do you mow the lawn again? Uh, I did Saturday, uh, but no, we, Saturday night, we went to the, uh, F, FFA Awards banquet.

Mmm, nice. Well, Friday night. What's FFA? Future Farmers of America.

Oh, again with this? Where someone correct us about this before. That's what it stands for, it's FFA. Yeah, but you were talking about it, and then it was either, was it Ben and Sarah that corrected us?

Might have been, because they're very farmy. They're very farmy. Very farmy people. Yeah.

Okay. And what'd you do Friday night? Uh, oh, I have a gift, actually, is what I did Friday. You have a gift?

I have a gift. For who? I have a gift. For me.

It was left here for me. You bought yourself a gift? No, no. Someone bought me a gift.

Oh, really? One of our customers with Mike and Mike Productions. Bought you a present? Yes.

What is it? I don't know. I haven't opened it yet. Oh, let's see it.

But Friday night, I got a text that they desperately needed their show done before Monday. Right. And up and ready to go. So I spent Friday night working on her show, Friday night and Saturday morning.

Let's see. Oh. Diligently rushed. Yes.

Yes. Something had to do with the city council meeting today. Something they discussed during the show needed to come out before the meeting. You are such a professional.

Look at you. Somebody's got to do the work. You've got to open it up top here. Somebody's got to do the work.

Oh. Look at this. And a lovely bottle of screwball peanut butter whiskey. Thank you, City Commissioner Dana McCool.

How did you... You had to know that was what was in there. Yeah, he opened it pretty easily. In the back with the paper.

I pulled the paper out and then pulled it out. Oh, okay. I hadn't looked yet. I assumed it was a bottle of something.

All right, you can put it down. Oh, fine. If they want the ad space, they can call us. No, they don't get the ad space.

Okay. Screwball, I'm talking about. Yeah, so who am I? Yeah, okay.

" What do they do exactly? Well, you don't have enough followers. Okay, well, that's cool. Yeah.

So you did that? I did that Friday night and Saturday morning. Saturday night, we went to the thing. Mother's Day, my wife woke up with a cold.

How'd you do on Mother's Day? I got her a gift on Friday before, and so she actually spent the entire day in bed on cold medicine. And that was it? You were good to go?

Yeah, I went grocery shopping for the week. No flowers or nothing? No additional hay? No, I got you your present?

I've mentioned this before on the show, she has children that need to do that for her. And that works for you. Well, I got her a gift, but they're past the age where I have to buy them gifts to give their mother. Right.

They're all in their 20s and almost 30s. Uh-huh. So, yes, Tanner sent her some lovely flowers, Tanner and his fiancée sent her flowers to work. Mm-hmm.

Uh, Alex, I don't think he got her name. Oh. I know, I know. He did call her on Saturday, I believe, because he was working Sunday or something.

Mm-hmm. I don't know. Uh, my boys called her, but I don't think they got her. Alex fucked that up.

Should your boys get her something? Well, I don't know, that's that line, so I always make sure they at least call her and tell her Happy Mother's Day. I mean, they could call her a card. Well, they're old enough.

I know, but it'd be funny as shit, you know what I mean? If they were in their 30s or whatever, in their fucking 20s or 20s. Well, we had planned to go take my mother to lunch. Where'd you get your mother?

Uh, we were gonna take her to lunch, I didn't get her a present. Oh. But we didn't because the wife's sick. She's a little weird about people being sick now, if you're sick, she'd rather you not come around.

Gotcha. She thinks everybody has COVID when they're sick. Oh. So, Connor went and took her lunch for me.

Oh, that's so nice. Yeah. Well, you know, what's cool about your mom is you could tell her that you got her a present. Right.

Yeah, I know. I know. I thought I was almost not even telling her we weren't coming because she just wouldn't know. Hey.

No, we went. We went. You don't remember? We had a lovely lunch.

Are the flowers still alive? Nothing like gaslighting a person with Alzheimer's. Right. You know what I mean?

If you're going to go deep. Right. If you're going to go, go all the way. Exactly.

100%. I'll see her again on Thursday. It's on Thursday, Thursday's the day. It's that mom day.

Yeah, she always goes, what day is it? I go, well, I'm here mom, so. What day do you think it is? Thursday.

It's Thursday. You should just get a shirt that says Thursday. She still wouldn't know why. And what did you do Sunday?

Sunday was just chill. Do grocery shopping? I went grocery shopping and, oh, I painted the, I took, because a couple weeks ago I painted my hubcaps on the car, the flat black. Yeah.

Nice. Well, the rest, the rust from the regular wheels showed up underneath. Uh huh. So I took the covers back off, painted them red.

Oh. And then put the covers on. It's quite the custom job you're doing on this car. It is, I know it is.

I think it looks great. It does, it actually turned out well. I was just impressed with myself. Taped off the tire and everything, so I didn't get paint everywhere.

Wow. Eh, it killed an hour. You're getting into a whole new career here. Customization.

I like playing with my car. I mean, you know, I can do anything I want to. What do I get? Including leave it on the side of the road.

It doesn't matter. What was that car show back in the day, the exhibit? Oh, yeah. It was fake.

Pimp My Ride. Pimp My Ride. Yeah, it was fake. It was fake, though.

It was fake? You didn't know it at the time, but it has come out that it was fake. Yeah. Lauren, the chick on SNL, she was on there.

Oh, as a car owner? Yeah. Oh, was she? Yeah.

And she said it was fake. Yeah. So everybody was an actor. Yeah.

But they really did do stuff to cars. I don't think so. Well, we sell the cars. Yeah, I think that they like modded them, but it wasn't, you know, actually workable.

" Yeah. Well, it would be cool if they did work. Yeah, well. Yeah, some of the stuff they did was cool.

So now, Exhibit, it's a fucking liar. Is he even around? Is he alive? Oh, sure he is.

Yeah, he's alive. Oh. Why would he be dead? I mean, he was probably 20, 30 years old back then.

I don't know, yeah. So now he's probably pushing 50. 50. Maybe he's had a hard life.

I don't think so. There's your boy X to the Z exhibit, eating yogurt. Did you have a good weekend, Boots? What'd you do?

That's Phil. I mean, Phil, sorry. Boots had a great weekend. Phil came back from Macaragua.

I just came back. I mean, my shit was okay. You guys went out Friday night, I saw. Yeah, we went out Friday.

We finished football. I went out with Boots, too. I invited you as well. I was working.

I'm sorry. You didn't even respond, I don't think. I was working. Sorry.

No, I can't go, guys. You're the one sitting here working. You guys go have fun. It was easy.

I would have preferred that. It was easy. It's not saying anything. We hung out with Ben and Sarah.

And Chad. I saw Chad went too. Oh, yeah. Chad appeared as well.

Yeah. And the missus, the queen. Yes, the queen. Oh, nice.

Sarah as well, yeah. Yeah, we hung out. Cigars on the Ave a little bit. I had a good time.

You know, Ben and Sarah are kinda in the area every once in a while, right? Yeah, how do they keep popping up? I mean, it's not like it's close. They're like an hour away.

I think it's like school and something. They're always traveling, right? Or then they're going to see their, I want to say their niece? Oh, they have family down this way?

Yeah, it was something like that. It was some type of family. Yeah. They spent the rest of the weekend getting ready to put up a new shed or something.

Yeah, because they're building an outhouse, which they're very excited about. An outhouse, a toilet? They acquired some land. Right, I saw that.

So it's not a shed, it's an outhouse? Yeah, they're building an outhouse. Oh. They're not building an outhouse.

Oh, that's a little easy to do. Yeah. Sheeter's full. And you just cover the hole and move it over.

So yeah, no, we got to hang out with them for a little bit. It was very cool. And then... Did you do the Goldie thing?

The who? No, no, no. The Gold Flake-infused... No, the coffees?

Yeah, the Adiana? No, no. We got there kind of late, man. You know, the babysitter forgot that we were supposed to be babysitting.

She was supposed to babysit. Your babysitter. Yeah. Oh.

Mark it against her. No, actually, you know what? It's so funny you say that, because... actually no mark against her and i wish she would talk to fucking keanu upstairs why is that because we text her right hey we're yet and she wrote back i i'm sorry i totally forgot i'm on my way yeah fucking conversation over right it wasn't like a well you know and the fucking and uh and the hurricane and the there was no bullshit right right it was hey i fucked up i totally forgot Matt, I'm fucking on my way.

Did she show up in like a prom dress or something? Like she had plans somewhere else? No, no, no. I think she was at the gym or something or some shit, you know what I mean?

Um, but whatever, you know? So she, you could, she's awesome. She's a great babysitter. And she could tell that she's worried about like- So you have found one now for- Yeah, we like, yeah, we like her.

She's been, she's been with us. She's been the one for a little bit now. Oh, good. And, you know, you could tell that it was like, hey, so make sure, what?

Why are you laughing? He's reading Phil's, Phil's facts. Oh my God. There's a Phil's facts.

We don't plug it in, we go on everywhere. Right, we have a flow. So, so she, yeah, she's good, right? So, but you could tell that she was nervous that, like, this was it, we're never gonna.

Right, 'cause she was late, or she didn't show. Yeah. No show. I'm like, no, I said, as a matter of fact, I'm like, well you, you know, you're younger than the fucking employees that I have.

That are less reliable. " I made a mistake, I'm sorry, I'll be right there. Yeah, it's 100% way better than any other fucking lob of bullshit you could throw at me. " If it was on yesterday when I was, you know, if it happened between the hours that I was here, I may or may not have done it.

I'm like, what in the fuck did that mean? If you say I did it, then I guess I did. Yeah, and I still don't know the answer. Right.

I'm like, are you just taking a bullet now? I didn't say you did it. What's happened? I'm just asking.

I'm wanting you to say that you did it. I want to figure this out. Right. I need to figure this out.

You know, just say, hey, yes, I did. Right. And I can say, okay, you need to do it like this. Is she outside the service now?

You just deal with her direct? Yeah, yeah. That's much better. Yeah.

So, this is the longest babysitter that you've had. Yeah, man, knock out, please don't jinx it, man. Please don't jinx it. I don't want it.

I don't want her. That's the last thing I need. He's very angry being lost in Nicaragua. It's the last.

Thank you. It's the last thing I need is to find another babysitter. Right. Find one that you like, that you can trust.

Yeah. What the kids like. Oh, yeah. Give me a review.

What do you guys, how is she? How was she? She's nice, you know? Like, they like this one.

Right. And she shows up 95% of the time. Right, oh, 99% of the time. Yeah, well, we haven't had her 100, so.

Oh. What did we do Saturday? Oh, Brittany went out with her friend. Oh, she had a date.

Yeah, she had a romantic date. That's nice. Yeah, you know. Mother's Day.

I stayed home with the kiddos, we did a little Fortnite action. On video games, did you feed them? - I did feed them. I did feed them.

- Was it like, Daddy's gonna eat? You guys find something? Or actually, a meal? - No, we got like these chicken sandwiches that are pretty clutch.

- Oh, this is what you had last week for dinner? - Yeah. - Yeah, they were like the Chick-fil-A sandwiches, you said. - Yeah.

- Pre-made chicken sandwiches. - Yeah, yeah, these things are pretty dope. - You just pop them in the microwave. - Done.

- Like the ones we keep upstairs. - Similar, yes. Very similar. - Wrap it on a paper towel.

You're out. There you go. Open it up, eat it. There's the flavor.

Enjoy. Enjoy. Eat the food. Mine's still frozen in the middle.

Doesn't matter. Eat it anyway. It's better that way. You gotta heat it up.

I know, but sometimes, you know, you don't heat it long enough in the middle. It's cold. You gotta go solid three minutes if you're frozen. Everybody knows that.

The cheese is still frozen? Yeah. There's no cheese on this. Wow.

So... You know, supplement the sandwich in any way? A little extra sauce or some cheese or something? You know what?

Fucking bam it or whatever, a little salt. Bam! You know? No, I don't do any of that.

No, I don't do any of that. It's delicious the way it is. Oh. We watched, oh, we did watch The Mother.

Oh, I did too. Did you? I watched it Saturday morning. What did you think?

I want to hear what you think. Tell me. I liked it. I enjoyed the movie.

Holy shit, you fucking liked it. I watched all of it. I didn't think there was a little bit padded to the story for time. I think they tried to stretch it out a little longer than they needed to.

But other than that, I enjoyed the movie. They did a good job making her look older as the movie went on, Because it was big time jumps. But why is she wearing makeup? Because she's J-Lo, she's gonna wear makeup.

Okay, but she's probably looks very scary without makeup. But she's an Alaskan soldier, or you know, she's a former-- Right, she's hiding in Alaska. Yeah, she's not like, okay, foundation time. Right, and she's used a hair straightener to make her hair straight.

Yeah, additional extensions, you know, the whole thing. Yeah, I thought it was all right. I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed the movie.

I enjoyed the movie. I'm a J-Lo fan, I like J-Lo. Ah, but it had every feel of Netflix discount movie to it. Yeah, yeah, it was in Netflix.

Well, they were smart. They did Netflix. It's not going to make it in the theaters. It's definitely not going to make it in the theaters.

No, no. No, that's, that's a 44 percenter on- Have you watched Mr. Otto? I think that's the name of it.

I've been wanting to watch that, but I'm not- Mr. Otto. The Tom Hanks movie? Isn't that Mr.

Otto, or Otto? Oh, Otto, O-T-T-O. Yeah, yeah. Because I really like Tom Hanks, but I'm afraid the movie's going to be a little bit- I'm Otto.

Yeah. That's your name? Yes. And then Sunday what I did was I got a hotel room at the Cabana Bay so we could have a pool day at both pools or whatever, and then we went home.

We didn't stay at the hotel room. Oh, you didn't even use it? No, I wanted to just use the pools. Oh, so that wasn't the water park?

Yeah, we didn't do it. Oh, I thought you were at the water parks. No, so she hinted towards, I just want to kind of chill out at a pool. Right.

And I'm like, I could solve that problem. Sure. Let's book a hotel room. Right.

And book one where the kids would have a good time or whatever, and they'd kind of ease up off of mommy, and mommy could have her juice all day or whatever and just chill out and get some sun and, you know, enjoy the day. Oh, good. You know, there's an app like Airbnb for pools. I know.

I know. I've looked at that before. Really? I've looked at it before.

It seems weird. It does. Because the people could be home. That's kind of awkward.

Oh, it's for actual pools. It's a pool in somebody's house. Oh. So like, there's three right around here.

Bro, Cabana Bay was like 110 bucks. You know what I mean? Right. Okay.

So, you know, if you go down to Universal, it's 45 bucks to park anyways, right? Right. So I'm looking at this and I'm thinking, I could throw my shit in this room. Why do you pay to park at Universal?

No, I'm just saying in general. Oh. You know, I could throw my shit in this room. There's so much shit in this room.

We can change and shower here because I know the kids are going to be exhausted and if they pass out on the way home, I want to have it all done. So you did go to the room? Yeah. We used the room to shower and change and stuff like that.

Right, you just didn't sleep there. No, no, no. A little break if you get too much sun. I mean, we had sun the whole day.

Somebody's got to go to the bathroom or something. Yeah, I mean, you know, for the most part. But it was great. It was super chill.

It wasn't over-the-top expensive, you know, and she had a great time. $110, that's worth it. Yeah, and loaded up on some pub subs, brought my own high noons. Oh, yeah.

Good for you. Yeah, it was fantastic. It looked like a water park. I thought you were at a water park.

Yeah, no. Wow, that'd be super busy. No, well, the kids had like a lazy river. There's a lazy river at Cabana Bay and they were just going around it and going around it and going around it.

And I played Marco Polo, we played tag, we played all kinds of stuff. Oh, nice. Yeah. And then what I like to do is I like to go underwater and sit against the floor.

Yeah. For just a few seconds. Just quiet. Yeah.

" It's quiet down there. It's quiet. It's quiet. " Just getting centered.

My meditation. It's good stuff. So. All right, well.

What did you, other than your rehab and, you know, making sure your playgirls were all fixed and everything? You know, there is one thing that I want to say before you transition over. You know what's really fucking funny to me? So Sunday morning, we woke up, and we went to go get our subs from Publix, the amount of frantic men, on a Sunday morning, getting fucking flowers for Mother's Day, I went there midday, and it was still people, like, where are all these men going in, and then when they walked in, they hit that section, flowers flying everywhere, just pelting it, I'm like, bro, you guys need to fucking be organized, have your shit together, you didn't know this was happening today, oh my god, you woke up like, oh, she's You guys have the flowers.

Oh, my God. It's Mother's Day. It's Mother's Day. Why is everybody coming over today?

Yeah. What's going on? Right. This shit, look, I'm not the fucking, I'm not the be-all.

I'm not the best in this game. Yes. Not by a long shot. None of us are.

No. Not by a long shot. But I know to fucking plan ahead for mothers. Right.

You know? It's a boring day. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, but I honestly plan so far ahead that I kind of fuck myself because these things come in and I don't want to wait. I want to give them to her. That's what my mind was. They showed up like Thursday.

I'm like, well, this is it. Do you want to open it now? Or do you want to wait until Sunday? She's like, I'll give it to me now.

Yeah. So, I'll give it to me now. Give it to me now. Let's get this out of the way.

So, yeah. Listen. But she did. She goes, but I'm not your mother.

I go, I understand that, but I got a lot of faith in your children. I know how this works. I know how this works. If I don't get you something, nobody's going to do it.

It's a down payment on Father's Day is what it is. It's a down payment. I was more afraid Alex was going to do, because Alex lives with that other family still, there was going to be some post with Alex with the other mother, celebrating Mother's Day. That's what I was worried about, but thank goodness their group photo he was not in.

Do you think that it is the responsibility of the father to tell the kids, "Hey, take care of your mother on Mother's Day," even if they're divorced? Yes. Oh, I didn't tell Conor to do anything for his mother. I know he did, but I didn't know.

I knew you should though. Well, did you ask if you had something squared away? No, but he told me. He did the frantic Sunday morning flower thing.

Okay, so there you go. Like, you need to help him fucking prepare for that instead. Like, hey man, fucking- This is coming up. Yeah, you need to take care of this.

Go get a fucking car. It doesn't matter. You're not trying to help his mother. You're trying to help him fucking handle his shit in life.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, okay. Right? I didn't have to ask him about mom.

He'd already had that set up when he found out I wasn't coming. He took care of that. I mean, he's a good kid. But you agree?

Yes, I agree. Because mom has eating restrictions now, and he goes, "Where can I go to get her food? " You know, she likes this chicken salad at Publix, go get her that. Yeah, it's like three bucks.

Right. Well, it's like seven. Oh, shit. It's boar's head.

Oh, it's very expensive. Boar's head chicken. So, even though that they're no longer married, I don't even know the guy's name, but Adrian's ex should be fucking, Oh, no way. He's an asshole.

He's not going to do a damn thing. No. But you're making your kids fucked up. If you don't take care of your kids, like, you don't have to...

Yeah, he is. But, you know. I'm just saying. Yeah.

Okay. All right. This is probably maybe the first year Tanner has stepped up and done something for him for others. It's either the first or second.

And how old is Tanner now? He is... Jake's 26, so he's 24. Yeah, he's at the age where he needs to be handling this shit.

You know what I mean? Yeah. Well, he's a different kid since the military. Yeah, I'm sure.

Yeah. So that's good. He called me the other day. He's included me in the wedding party.

He wants me to wear the tuxedo that the fathers are wearing. I thought it was nice. Yeah. That was nice.

I texted back and thanked him. I was a little choked up. I wouldn't expect that a phone call goes, "Hey, you need to go get fitted at the men's warehouse for the thing. " Look at that.

See, I always liked Tanner. Yeah, he's a different kid now. He's a different man, so he's not even a kid anymore. Phil, did you fuck up Mother's Day?

I wasn't here. He was in Nicaragua. Well, what did you hear about Boots? Did Boots fuck up Mother's Day?

No, I heard, I saw him, it was a little while ago, when I was coming through. Yeah? He had a great Mother's Day. Yeah?

Yeah, he did a great-- For his mother and his wife, because his mother lives right next door. He did it, yeah, for all of them. Yeah? Yeah.

What do they do? Uh, I don't remember. Did he make sure his kids got their mothers something? He always, he always makes sure.

Yeah. That the kids take care of, care of the moms. Oh, okay. All right.

Nice. Well, do you have a fun fact for us, Phil? Oh, I, uh, I do. Okay.

I'm gonna have to, I'm gonna change the camera here if I remember how to do this. You don't make sure Mike is upside down. Yeah, I know. Bing bong.

Oh, hello, people. Why is that? I don't know, they all are. Must be the way they...

Here I go. Yeah, it is. Mine is, too. Must be the way they hang on the thing.

All the times they go up and down, they could have switched. And then they would be turned the other way. Sorry. Sorry.

Go ahead, bud. Go ahead, Phil. That's okay. That's all right.

So, uh... If this one was yours... When Spanish ships return from the new world... Yeah.

They carried a wide range of trading goods. Uh-huh. Could you guess what those trading goods are? Well, I read it when I put it on your sheet.

People. Well, let's go with Mikey. People, cigars, tobacco. Yeah.

Somebody's coming through the roof. So it would be small black children and tobacco. Oh, my God. And tobacco leaves were among them.

Oh, slave traders. Yeah. Wow. Back to you guys.

That's terrible. You are a horrible person. He's gonna make me the racist one. You are a horrible person.

Oh my God. Do you see? When you find, when you Google "weird cigar facts," you get some strange stuff. You get some strange stuff, huh?

It's just what pops up. I don't know. Is this the AI? Is the AI doing this?

Could be. Could be Chad GDT. You know, I tried to use that for a couple of things, and it refused today. I will not give you racist comments.

No, they weren't, they weren't racist, but there was some, because the news is a little thin, so I padded it, and some of the stories, it was like, we cannot do a fake story, because there's no information for us to find on the internet about this happening. I'm like, son of a bitch! Wow. It's truthful, at least.

Right. It's not truthful, though. I heard it lied. No, no.

It would not lie. It wouldn't lie to you. Right. It wouldn't give me lies.

I've statistically deemed that it's best for me to just tell you to fuck off than for me to lie to you. Yes, they punished me last time. Oh, my goodness. I want to find one that talks.

Like on TikTok, there's one that does these historical facts, but then they have a face that comes up that does the voice of the guy who's telling you, It's a historical fact. Right. I can't find... I've heard of this.

I've heard of like... I think that there's ways to build off of them. Like software programs? Well, I'm sure.

I'm sure there's higher end stuff than just Googling an app for your iPhone, I'm sure. Well, there's definitely an app because I've heard of a TikToker doing it with like different faces of famous people. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There's those.

But you gotta pay. I refuse to do the money. I refuse to pay. I'm not paying.

Still in the... Not paying. I'm in the no pay. It's what?

How much is the app? How much could it be? Oh, I don't know. They pay you by, you pay by the thing, by the face.

Oh, okay. I thought it was just like an app. You have to pay to join and then depend it on what you want. I like, somebody's gotta be getting money off that Drake AI.

Somebody's getting paid right now. Someone's gonna be super pissed. Let's do Drake AI. So they took Drake's, they, so they had AI create a song.

Oh. Oh yeah, it'll do that. From Drake. Yeah.

And then they put it up on Spotify and shit, and I'm sure it's getting, it's gotta be getting revenue. Yeah. It's gotta be getting revenue. I thought you meant it was a talking face of Drake, yeah, I've heard about the song.

Yeah. Yeah. There's actually more than one now. Oh, I'm sure.

Yeah. Have you seen all the Arnold Schwarzenegger things? He's just out crushing it. Drake is just out crushing it.

" It shot him out 40 songs, this is the best playlist he said he's ever seen. And it did them in order to where the song would segue into the next song. It's a similar tempo, so it bleeds into the next one really just flawlessly. And just like that, we're all unemployed.

Exactly. Yes, exactly. Or, we're all getting better jobs. I think we're all unemployed.

All right, back to the regular news. We're starting with a story that no one else has picked up. Really? I don't know why.

I found this from a newspaper article in Sarasota. Not even smoking tobacco. Nobody has. Not even developing pallets.

Nobody has. Wow. Corona Cigar Company and El Septimo Lounge to open in Sarasota. Oh.

It's an El Septimo Lounge they're opening there. Interesting. The Central Florida-based cigar shop chain Sarasota Outpost will feature a members-only second-floor lounge. With several locations operating in Central Florida, Corona Cigar Company is preparing to open its first outpost in the Sarasota-Manatee area.

This new cigar bar will feature Corona Cigar Company's Familiar Bar, blah, blah, blah, blah, seven years ago, blah, we don't talk about that, the lower, is somebody at the door? No. The lower story is open to everybody with a lot of bourbons and single malts. That guy said, upstairs is a members only with exclusive access lockers.

Opening at the intersection of Lemon Avenue and First Street, the new Corona Cigar Company location is situated among a number of food and drink spots, Including Brevard's Salute, Madison City Grill, and Pizza & Brew. It promises to be a great place for cigar lovers to relax with a nice something on the story. A nice something. A nice drink and a cigar, I guess.

I don't know. But the second floor is a private members-only El Septimo Lounge. Okay. Really?

We're gonna go to Sarasota. And check that out? No, I got another guy I really like that we're gonna go talk to. Oh, okay.

Which one is it? Is it the one where I know the guy? Heritage? Yeah.

Yeah, I know the owner. You know the guy? I know the owner. Okay.

Well, uh... Big place. Well, it was really funny. Shout out to Ronnie from Detroit.

He actually helped me link up with Ray. Yeah. Mabelot. I can't all probably screw you.

Oh, the barbecue guy. Yeah. Who's now helping with Heritage. Big mouth barbecue.

Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, I had to go all the way to Michigan to get this connected. I told you twice I knew the guy.

I didn't really have to do anything with Ronnie. I don't think Ronnie just did it. Is he in the FCC? Yeah, he is.

That's how I know. I think Harry is going to run Sarasota. You know, my personal opinion. It's a big place.

Yeah. So. He hasn't even had the grand opening yet. I know.

The soft opening. I know. All right. Crown Heads increases prices next week.

Crown Heads will increase the price of some of its cigars on Monday, May 15th, 2023. Not every product. So that's today. Not every product is increasing.

The company's newer Four Kicks, Kappa Special, and La Patisserie lines will keep their existing price. The remainder of the products in the company's portfolio will increase through varying amounts. That said, it is no secret that the industry is facing cost increases across the board, including tobacco, material, freight, among others, said Miguel Shadell. Freight is less now.

Yeah, freight. Freight has gone down. Freight has gone down. Yeah.

It's Miguel Shadell, the guy who has shingles. Oh, I love Miguel. That Boots is scared of. Oh, I love Miguel.

National Sales Manager for Crownheads, in a letter that was sent to retailers, "As a result, we will be initiating a price adjustment effective May 15th. With such thoughts, consideration has gone towards the decision. However, it's worth mentioning that this will be our third price increase since Crown Heads was founded some 12 years ago. In addition, the Ossinger Family Cigar Products...

The third increase? Third increase in 12 years. Well, shit, man. They were overdue.

Right. In addition, the Ossinger Family Cigar Products, which Crown Heads distributes, are not increasing their prices. Yeah. Okay, that makes sense.

Yes, it does. It does. EU imports numbers show growth of New World cigars decline for Cuban cigars. Oh, shut them down, eh?

Data from the European Cigar Manufacturers Association, ECMA, shows a nearly 30% increase in the imports of cigars and cigarellos to European Union countries. Nearly every major source of cigars and cigarellos exported from products last year to the EU than it did in 2021, with one notable exception, Cuba. Notally, the ECMA's data is by weight measured in tons and does not separate cigarillos, little cigars, and premium cigars. S.

import numbers. Due to European styling, the comma is used instead of the decimal point. 87 tons. 57 million, I believe that's pounds, or the euro, probably, euro.

Gigawatts. 28% from 2021, and the lowest figure of the last five years. Nearly a year ago, Habano SA, the global distribution company for the Cuban cigars, announced a massive price increase for its products, with some cigars tripling in price. Yeah.

A lot of freight out of Cuba. A lot of freight. A lot of freight. No, what they do...

Listen, at the end of the day, something is worth what others are willing to pay for it, right? Right. That's what it boils down to. Exactly.

It's just that simple. Just that simple. So, if they think they can shoot the moon and do triple the cost... It's also a massive shortage of Cuban cigars.

Allegedly. This came after a period of massive shortages of Cuban cigars. Much of which continues even after the price hikes. In late 2021, multiple distributors told Cigar Hustlers Podcasts that they were informed that it could take a few, oh, they were informed that it could take a few years for supplies of Cuban cigars to return to normal.

Last September, Hurricane Ian hit Pina del Rio. Hello, I am Hiroshi Robana from Pina del Rio. He was just in the land a couple of weeks ago. I know.

I think he would have stopped by. During the last year, many, many, many, non-cash. The Cuban companies have made international sales a major focus, and they try to… You know the rules. What are the rules?

We told Karen the rules for two weeks in a row. Now she's not here, now you're doing it. We're not talking about Fight Club? Right, we're not talking about Fight Club.

Well, EU market data confirms a long-term decrease of consumption of cigars and cigarrows. Import data clearly reveals an increased interest in EU aficionados. Room 101, the Payback 770 returning next month. Whoa.

Are we getting those? The 770? Yeah. Do we have customers for that?

The big Payback 770. We have other 770s that we sell. If you want it, I'll get it for you. I don't like 770s.

Okay. The Room 101 has announced that it will once again offer the big Payback line, a 7x70 size. There's not been a 770 version of the big Payback production since 2016. Oh, Daddy's podcasting.

Hurry up, Teddy. Yeah, I mean, it's 3:30. She tripped and fell on the playground, going to the bathroom, scraped both her knees, and she needs to tell her dad. Oh, no.

This just in. Teddy fell down and scraped both her knees on the way back from the playground. What? What?

He's informing the podcast people. This is big news. Oh, uh, don't worry, I have the Jesus Band-Aids, and I will put them on her knees, and then we're headed to dance. All righty.

Nice. Special Jesus Band-Aids? I love you, Daddy. Love you.

They're blessed. They're blessed. They're blessed. They're blessed Band-Aids.

Bye. Bye. Are there pictures of Jesus on these Band-Aids? Yes.

Do you get them from the church? You know what's really kind of funny is they start off as a joke. I think that, uh, the Manny? Yeah.

The Manny had bought them for us for Christmas or something. Oh, they were Jesus Band-Aids. Right. And then they became a thing in the house.

Oh. Like, no, I don't want the regular Band-Aids. I want the Jesus Band-Aids. What if you run out of them?

Oh, we have ran low on the Jesus Band-Aids. Oh, so you can get more. It's not like a one-time thing. Yeah.

No, I think you can acquire more of these. Can you get Moses Band-Aids, too? I'm sure they exist. I mean, if there's a Spider-Man Band-Aid, there's gotta be a Moses Band-Aid.

Well, I didn't know how far into religious this goes. Who knows? Oh, who's the guy that... Listen, I'm like Catholic light.

It's a Catholic light. I'm not, you know what I mean? I'm not fully entrenched, but I'm enjoying the trip. I'm having a good time.

Well, that's why I'm surprised I don't know about these Jesus Band-Aids. Would you like me to bless them? Of course. And you should carry them around.

And special holy, yeah, I should have these with me at all times, apparently. It's funny, because when you say the Jesus Band-Aids in front of other people, they laugh, too. I'm like, yeah, I know, it's a thing. It's a thing.

The kids request the Jesus Band-Aids. Who's the guy who played Batman? I'm Batman. Michael Keaton?

No, no. Newer Batman. Christian Bale? Yeah, he did a movie where he was Moses.

Oh, yeah? I started watching that Sunday. Terrible movie. Yeah?

Terrible movie. I'm sure it was. I watched the last half hour of 310 to Yuma last night. They did the burning bush and it looked terrible.

Was it a bush on fire? Yes. But there was a small child involved. A young boy was talking, not the bush.

I thought the bush did the talking. Oh. We don't fact check, so. That's true.

Apparently they don't want the movie either. Yeah. Let's see where we're at. 99 and the big payback 70s is offered in boxes of 30 cigars.

Boom. "It has been my life's mission to produce a combustible vessel so engorged and for more magnificent than its started counterpart in the Cylinder Gold presentation, and it's my greatest honor to offer our people such a product that overflows with both girth and grandeur," said Matt Booth, founder of Room 101. Do you think he got that from AI? No, no.

Oh, did he? No, that sounds like something he would say. Yeah, probably. Probably so.

All right. Maybe he put all those words in it. Maybe. Maybe.

You can. You can do that. The Cigar Media this week has been full of reviews and PCA announcements. So in keeping with our number one cigar podcast status, I have what all the other shows are doing in the past week in Cigar News.

Oh. Oh. Is it blank? What?

Is it blank? Is it blank? No, no, every show has done something, it's just not very cigar-y. That's what I was saying, like, you said in the cigar news.

Well, listen, when the format is, we're number one in the cigar industry, and we don't talk about cigars. We do talk about cigars. Well, we do, to some degree, but you know what I mean. Our shows don't talk about cigars.

You think so? I don't think so. Other than the first 20 minutes. You're smoking a cigar.

We talk about cigars. We do cigar news. You think that it's about cigars? Sure.

We just talked about the 770 for 10 minutes. We talked about the EU numbers. We talked about Scrape Me's. Well, because she happened to call.

If she hadn't called, we wouldn't have talked about Scrape Me's. You don't think so? We don't talk about only cigars, no. Right.

Yeah, that's my point. But I don't claim to be cigar media. I feel like we're the Seinfeld of the cigar industry. Oh, certainly.

Without any doubt. Show about nothing. Yeah. But Seinfeld was a great show.

What are you trying to say, Phil? We're the Seinfelds of the cigar industry. Oh, so we're a great show? Great show.

Well, Cigar Dojo voted on the best convenience store snack food this week. The week before that, it was the best breakfast cereal. Cigar Coop spent the weekend doing Facebook Live searching for Cracker Jack in gas stations. I'm not trying to poop on my boy Abe.

That's not nice. Yeah, I understand that. Yeah, and even Abe said, "Oh, look what he's doing. " So he's walking around a gas station on Facebook Live looking for Cracker Jack.

Half Wheel had seven cigar reviews as part of their weekly lineup this week. 7. 7. 7.

How about that Cigar did 20 Minutes of Sports to start the show? To shart? They sharted on the show? They sharted.

I'm sure. Was it Matt or Garrett? It was Matt Garrett cigar. Not Justin.

Justin won't shart. No. No. And then Cigar Surgeon and Fishstick Aaron Loomis.

Oh. Fishstick Aaron. Aaron Fishstick Loomis. Aaron Fishstick Loomis.

Yeah. Oh, sorry. I know him personally. I call him Fishstick.

No. Well, you can call him just Fishstick if you want. And if you're going to say his name, you've got to say Aaron. Well, that was for the listeners.

That's what I'm saying, like when The Rock became an actor, it was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, right? So now people just call him The Rock. Right, but if you're going to indicate that you're using his nickname, and that he is Aaron. I used to do without the Aaron Loomis.

You either say The Fish Dick, or Aaron The Fish Dick Loomis. The Fish Dick, oh, I got it. Oh, thank you for claiming that. Aaron The Gordon Loomis?

Aaron The who? The Gordon. Who's The Gordon? It's Gordon Fishticks.

No. The guy with the yellow. You're reaching now. You're reaching, Phil.

You're obviously concussed. He always goes a little bit too far. He always takes it too far. A little bit too far.

So that was it, huh? Sports, Cracker Jacks. Smoking Tobacco had William Cooper on where they talked about what William Cooper talked about, the Cracker Jacks. The Cracker Jacks.

Oh. What was in the Cracker Jacks he was looking for? They were looking for Cracker Jacks. I don't know.

There was something to debate whether Cracker Jacks were in gas stations. This is something available, yeah. Cracker Jacks, like Lincoln or something? No, apparently there's Cracker Jill's, too, someone found during the search.

I saw that too, yeah, I saw that. What? I don't know. It's a very slow news week, apparently, everybody's clamoring for content.

I feel like we covered a lot of content. Us? Yeah. Well, sure.

I have a story, I have one more story. You do? Yeah, that AI did for me. And I had to word this four different ways to get it to actually do it.

" So, for immediate release, Skip Martin of Roma Craft Tobac opens the first gym in San Juan del Sur. Oh, my goodness. San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Skip Martin, the owner of Roma Craft Tobac, has announced the opening of the first gym in San Juan del Sur.

The gym named Roma Fitness. Oh, not Nika Dreams. This should be Nika Fitness. Nika Fit.

This is what the AI said, Roma Fitness. Roma Fitness, oh. It's located in the heart of the city and will offer state-of-the-art equipment and personalized training programs and group fitness classes. Wow.

Pilates? Are there Pilates? Well, let's read on and see. Here's a quote from Skip.

"I'm excited to bring new fitness options to the people of San Juan del Sur," said Skip Martin. Nice. "As someone who is passionate about fitness and wellness, opening Roma Fitness is a natural extension to my interests and values. " Wow.

Roma Fitness will feature a variety of fitness equipment, including cardio machines, strength training equipment, and free weight. In addition, the gym will offer a range of group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, and spinning. Oh, only the best. Oh, a spin class.

Whether you are an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey, Roma Fitness has something for everyone, said Martin. Our expert trainers will work with you to develop a personalized training program that meets your unique needs and goals, The group fitness classes provided fun and supportive environment for people to come together and work towards their fitness goals. Is there a sauna? It doesn't mention that.

Is there a cold lunch? It doesn't mention that either. No salt? No.

Steam room? The opening of Roma Fitness is a significant milestone for the community of San Juan del Sur, which has been growing rapidly in recent years. The gym is expected to be a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, And Martin is committed to making sure that it serves the needs of the entire community. Wow.

I am proud to be investing in the future of San Juan del Cera, said Martin. Roma Fitness is just the beginning of what I hope to accomplish in this community. I believe that working together, we can create a healthier, more vibrant, and more connected community for everyone. Are they accepting the Silver Sneakers program as well?

I don't know. We'd have to contact him directly, I guess, for that. Skip Martin, the owner of Roma Craft Tobacco, a premium cigar company based in Nicaragua. Martin is also a fitness enthusiast and has been passionate about health and wellness for many years.

I would say about two weeks ago. If you have more questions, contact Skip Martin at Roma Fitness in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Thank you. You think anybody does a press release on this?

That's how I had to get him to do it. I had to say it was a press release. Wow. I mean, it's possible.

You should definitely send it out. Well, I have it, Skip, if you would like to use it for you. Yeah, for your gym. If you want to send it out.

They'll send it out. Yeah. I highly recommend getting, you know, a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, kind of working all that in. I saw, he looked like he was working out.

Yeah. Yeah, he looked great. Look at those abs, you see those abs? Just a few sit-ups, he said.

Yeah. It's a man back up. Kegels. There's a lot of Kegels.

A lot of Kegels? Yeah. I don't think you can see that when you do Kegels. No, I think it helps develop the core.

Oh, does it? Oh, certainly. Yeah. Certainly.

You ever listen to the week, Michael? I do. Uh-oh. I do.

This is a major announcement for the listener of the week. I do. Uh-oh. He's now surpassed as the number one sales rep in the entire nation.

Yeah. Yeah. For Espinosa cigars. Or just all cigars in general.

Yeah. He's blown out. He's officially blown out our former Patreon, Pete Hernandez. Oh, my goodness.

Whoa. Yeah. Wow. Tyler.

Tyler Jones. Tyler Jones. Tyler Jones. Yes.

Listener of the week, also number one sales rep in the world. In the world. Wow. Someone was saying what a good job he did with service on one of his posts, too.

Guy's next level. You know, it's funny. I remember meeting Tyler. I remember when we met him.

He was so full of life. Two years ago at the PCA. He was longer than that. No, no, no.

It was two years ago. Vegas. It wasn't last year that you're So I guess it'll be three years. This'll be the third PCA.

So yeah, three years ago. Yes, he was so young, so energetic, so full of hope. And he's kept that momentum a little bit. You know what I mean?

Yeah, I know. It's weird. Yeah, it's a good job. It's a good job.

We met him on the casino floor. You know, and the crowd that he hangs out with, Jack Taranio, Hector, Erik. I mean, those guys are some tough guys. Right, yeah.

You know, usually they would beat somebody down, but no. But Tyler rallies. Yes. He goes the other direction.

Such a large territory, too. Me too. Yeah. He's just out here, you know.

Just crushing it every day. Yeah, just crushing it. Every day, Tyler. Yeah.

Great job. Yeah. I want to start sending him my orders. I really do.

Well, that'd be fine if we can make sure that he gets credit for them too. Right. What I have to do is I could, and I mean, what I could do is I could just make, have somebody, a retailer in his location, purchase it and then ship it to me. Oh, that's right.

Yeah. Maybe the guy who knows the barbecue guy. " Right. We don't get tacked on for extra shipping or anything.

Right. Just flow it in, and then we pay the shipping from there to here. I think a great idea. Yeah.

Great idea. Everybody should do that with Espinosa. Yeah. Yeah.

All orders need to go through. All orders for the state of Florida. All orders for the state of Florida need to go through Tyler. Need to go through Tyler.

Yeah. That would be great. Tyler for president. That would solve so many problems in the state of Florida.

Yeah. Getting an Espinosa product. It would. It would.

It's not like we see a rep anyway. It would be great to see Alfredo Cruz. Wait, homeless? With the little stick, with the bag, with the little red dots.

Oh, the hobo. Yeah. Oh, he's moving. He's walking around the state of Florida.

He's moving. Oh, did we announce last week the new rep for El Septimo? I know we talked about it. Were you talking about it on the Patreon?

Oh, yeah. You did do the news, I heard. Yeah, we talked about it. It was one person in that put the story out and nobody else picked it up.

It was smoking tobacco. Well, you gotta understand that it's very common in this industry. And you know, I personally believe in bringing it up and talking about it because I like to shed light on it because it's a dirty part of this industry. It is very dirty.

You know what I mean? It's worse than, what's it when your father does something and then you do it too? Or you get a job because of your father. Nepotism?

It's worse than that. It's worse than nepotism. It's worse than nepotism. It's worse than nepotism.

It's almost incestual. It's almost incestual. Write that down. It's like 17 people work in the cigar industry, and they just change companies over and over.

I mean, but Mike had been there for 10 years. That's why it's such a big deal. Yeah. He worked, I mean, I know we had him on the show way back.

Look. I don't think he worked for anybody else before Rocky Patel, did he? And no matter the ebbs and the flows of the industry. Yes.

If you're established with a brand like Rocky Patel, you got a steady paycheck. Yeah. Right. He wasn't a broker, he was an employee.

Right. Unless there was writing on the wall that he was about to get chicken. And I don't see that. I just can't.

We did hear he got quite the lucrative offer though. Sometimes the grass is not always greener though. Well, you know, it's kind of, you know, the really interesting part is, is there a dynamic developing here? Is there going to be issues?

Is Septima going in and sharpshooting good sales reps from other companies in the industry? Right. You know, because it's a small industry. Yes.

And look, I'm not saying that's happening. I don't know. But if it is happening, it's kind of a problem. You know what I mean?

It's very easy to get shunned in this industry. Oh, yeah. " You know what I mean? Because, I mean, Rocky's an established company.

He's not going anywhere. Well established. Right. Been around for a long time.

Yeah, yeah. And now you're going with somebody... There are dudes that smoke the Decade, and you're not going to get them off of it. Right.

It's like your Monte Cristos. Right. Same idea. Yeah.

Smoked decades. Have you tried? No. No, I'm not going to.

Yeah. Have you tried El Step Timo? No, no, never heard of them. I really like Javas.

Have you tried the Tabax? We're all at Javas. Fuck you, no. Yeah, no.

Right, yeah, nobody makes that jump. Yeah. Right. Right.

Yeah. I love the cherries. You have the cherry one? No, no, but we have this groovy blue and they have a cherry.

No, no, no, get the fuck out of here. No, no, I don't want to. All that shit. I want the cherry Java.

Right. It's interesting. It is. Interesting.

We will keep track of Mr. Wasp and see how that works. All this develops. Hmm.

What's the guy's name who runs also, Timo? The Castle King guy? I don't know. Abreu.

Some French name. What'd you say? Abreu? Abreu?

Abreu? Abreu? Did he have a stroke? It's a French name.

Abreu? Maybe Greg knows it. Oh, because he's a world traveler. Oh, who's just there?

Shop of the Week? Oh. Yeah, Shop of the Week, Michael? Hogshead Cigars!

You know it. The Hogshead, where Industry, BDP, and the King will all be on Friday. This Friday, May 19th, right? May 19th?

The 19th. May 19th. Are we all wearing the shirts on the airplane too? I tried mine on today, didn't make sure it fit, glad I had it on you.

So are we all going to wear them on the airplane? Look like a little vaudeville hat going through the airport? Why not? Just asking.

I mean, I'm wearing mine, you can do whatever you want. Big deal. I might wear that blue, uh, smoking jacket too, on top of the shirt. Oh, okay.

So you look like you're a bigger deal? No, no, I just saw that John Carney wears that alligator skin jacket or whatever that was. Oh, that's his? That's his event.

That's his thing? Yeah. Okay. Sure.

I don't know. Whatever you want to do. I don't know. You're an event guy.

I'll see. You're a big deal. Bring it. You should bring it.

Well, Charlie came back to me on that. Again? Well, I hammered him home on it. You brought it up last week.

You read all the back and forth. Then I brought it up again later. Oh! Yeah.

His story on SBC's was terrible, by the way. He's like, was it? Well, I wasn't giving him any information. I know, you gave no information.

You could tell. He goes, these are coming, Skip took a photo. Yeah. It's really funny.

It's called a teaser. Right. Yeah. He said that he doesn't normally include Instagram handles or anything in articles.

It's just not what he does. Oh. He used their names, not that he doesn't know what they were. Well, maybe, maybe, but...

Charlie knows me. If you wanted to, you probably just should have included your name instead of your Instagram handle. Apparently, yeah. And it would have been there.

Oh, well, next time. Yeah. We'll do the follow-up press release on how well it went. " That was all I keep...

I think that was included in the story. Yeah. Very short story. Alright, anything else?

Were we, uh... Oh, what are you gonna talk about? We have several things to talk about on the Patreon. We're gonna review those cigarettes.

Is that why you have an extra one? Because you already smoked all yours? Yeah, I knew where this was going. Oh, I wonder where you had four.

Now it makes complete sense. Yeah. I have some things... It's chestnut checkers, Michael.

That's right. I have some things to talk about that I can't talk about on the regular show. Mm-hmm. Okay.

I had two, but now I only think of one. Oh, no, I know where this is going. Okay. I have two things.

You have some tea. I do? Yeah, you say it. That's what you said.

Oh, shit. On the ongoing story? Oh. " Oh.

Oh, yeah, with Victor. Yeah. And Chogui. Yes.

Yeah. I do. I do. All right.

All right, Phil, you got anything else? Just happy to be back? Yeah, thanks for having me back, guys. Yeah, we missed you, buddy.

We missed you. I missed everybody, too. I was really scared. You know, the one problem with that bitch, Karen, is that she couldn't control her phone.

You know? It rang every episode. Huge Top Gun fan, though. Oh, that's great.

Boots would love that. Huge Top Gun fan. What happened to your wife's boyfriend that she took on with Rad if you were missing? I don't know.

Oh, you haven't gone home yet? Nope. I don't blame you. I came straight here.

They might not be back from the cruise. Yeah, still riding that insurance market. She's obviously not giving back. Yeah.

How does that work? Does that fall back on film now? Insurance fraud's a big deal. They could, yeah, could get serious.

Huge. Huge. Huge. All right, well, let's go.
