Transcript
Everybody stand by. Industry is in the house. It's what I've been and who I am, all the ways I've grown. Blood in the sweat, tears are regretting my stone.

This is a Friday afternoon show. It's a show without fill. Oh, I probably should start the timer. Oh yeah, we're getting a lot of complaints on him lately, so.
Yeah. Yeah. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike squared, Mike squared. Maybe it's, oh, we didn't move the thing out.

Yay, Patreon. So, I'd like to thank you for the gift you gave me from your trip. What do you mean? I am sick.
What are you talking about? I have your illness. I gave it to you? You gave it to me.
You can't blame Mika, because I have not seen Mika. How did I give it to you? I don't know, 'cause we sit three feet apart, and you cough and sneeze, and . .
That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in my life. How else did I get hit? I'm feeling well. I'm sure you gave it to me now.
You're fine. Are you sure? Adrian keeps wanting me to test for COVID. " You don't want to test for COVID because it's COVID.
No, I still taste things. Yeah. I don't have COVID. Wait a while.
I'm supposed to go to my mother's tomorrow. I can't go. Oh boy. Can't go if I have COVID.
I have to, you know, if I say I really don't feel good, maybe Adrian will go by myself. It might be best for you to test then. We have tested the house, but they're expired test. They're still good.
Yeah, that's what I figured. It's like expired milk, it's just so good. No, expired milk, not good. It's not?
No, no, it tastes bad. Oh. That's gross. Just kidding.
So we don't have Phil today? No, no, no Phil. And we've had several complaints. On the Phil.
On the Patreon, Phil Boots. Yes, on Boots on the Patreon. And Phil on the show. Correct.
It seems like as time has progressed, he's gotten dumber. I didn't want to say that. I don't know what happened. I don't either.
Didn't he hit his head or something a while back? He thought he had a lump or something. He got in that car wreck. That's right.
He's had two. Yeah. But one, he wasn't in the car. That'd still probably affect his brain.
It might have. Maybe he hit his head on the car. Yeah. Afterwards.
Maybe, who knows. We're going to have to get him some vitamins or something. Something, some ginkgo biloba. Yeah, bring them back up a little bit.
Yeah, something. Bring them up a smidge. I don't know. Did you hear that beeping that was out back for the last three days?
Yes. Did you hear what it was? I think I know what it is. Why was it?
So what happens is the gas station next door? No. It's not the gas station? No.
What is it? And his dump trailer's over there. Apparently there was a smoke detector. Stop it.
Yes. Going off for the last four days out back. This whole time it was him? It was him.
He finally took them and emptied them all today. I was ready to kill the gas company. Yeah, I thought it was a gas station too. I even walked over that way and I'm like, well, it sounds like it's coming off up there.
Wow. So one of those dump trailers had a smoke detector in it and the battery had gone dead apparently from when he ripped it off the ceiling somewhere. Wow. Yeah.
That's amazing. It is, isn't it? That's amazing. Adds to the legend of the Philamute.
Fill a moot. So, one of my clips has gotten some people in an uproar. Oh. By peoples, you just mean coop.
No, I've had other people call me as well. Oh, more people? I've had other people. Was it the gentleman that you posted the picture from?
No. He doesn't care. Probably not. Probably not.
Probably not. All right. So, when you say people, I'm not asking for names. Give me a rough number.
Seven? Four? About five. Five?
Yeah. Still, it's a nice number. Yeah. You know, obviously one of them was Coop.
Certainly. You know. King of the sandwiches, the turkey sandwich. Well, he's also king of cigar media.
He is, you know. He just did 14 years. Yeah. Yeah.
Does that make you king or make you the longest person to be, you know, I don't know. I feel like it makes you king. You think so? Yeah.
All right. Coop, you're king. You're king of cigar media. King of cigar media.
So. Hazan. But here's one thing that Coop likes to do. Yes.
Whenever we cross a line. Is there days we don't? Whenever we cross a line that Coop feels like we've gone too far. Ah, yes.
Coop likes to say, I really feel like you went too far on this one. Oh. You know. How many times does that happen?
And then he says, even for you guys, is what he leads with. Right. So I said to Coop. You've crossed a line, even for you guys.
So I said to Coop. Yes. Well, hey, you need to come on the show, buddy. Sure, he's only done the show once.
He didn't come on the show, we could talk about it. Talk about it, you can reprimand us live on the air. We could talk about it, if you want to have a nice debate about it, that's perfectly fine. I welcome you on the show.
Open invitation. He told me he was in Italy. " Phone rings in Italy. " When I asked you to be on the show in studio, he watched the show, apparently.
He'll probably come on the following week. So what are the other times that we have crossed the line? I don't remember. We cross the line all the time.
Well, that's why. As far as people are concerned. Even for you guys, that's too far. So I mean, there had to be another one.
There have been other ones, yeah. So, but I could tell you this. Okay, wait. If you think we have crossed the line, the viewing, listening audience, make it publicly known.
We're not scared of it. Well. Don't just tell one of us or the other one, just. Hey man, you know, is everything okay?
With what? Yeah, I'm doing fine. Well, you know, you kind of went after Casey. " How'd I go after Casey?
Casey Hogan? Casey Johnson. Oh! " He was in his truck, you couldn't see him.
Yeah, I also went after Ian Verdapper on one of these shows. Right. I also went after Greg on Bear's Podcast, making fun of Yacy and his background. Right.
I went after George. George. Because George was... And other people.
I just decided to take a break and eat a meal, and the list goes on and on and on and on, and I'll make sure I work some in a clip here, oh nice, oh when you clip this part of the show, but I'm going to tell you, look, I mean I have no ill will towards any of those people, no we're not mean, no we're mean, but we want, we don't have ill will, personally, this is what I want. I want to see this industry do better. Certainly. Instead of half-ass and slap-dicking some shit and put yourself in a fucking video where you look like fucking ass, present yourself.
I don't think that that's... Right, you changed yours when I used to say you look like you'd been kidnapped and you're doing proof-of-life videos. Right. I said, and you know, I respect that, I listen to that.
Right. And my wife's the same way, Brennan's like, even when I did Bears and I put up and I set everything up. Right. I got a fucking, I mean, I go a little nuts now at this point.
Sure. And DJI linked in for my webcam, tracking me, but I didn't put up the green screen or the background or anything like that, I just blurted out. Brittany looks at me and she goes, "Is that enough? " "Right.
" I wasn't on an iPad in a lawn chair eating a fucking meal on your dirty patio yeah you know I with terrible audio sure you know I'm always concerned about the audio I wasn't fucking laid out half asleep on a chair with my hair all disheveled oh who's that that's dapper oh I didn't see that one yeah I'll put it up don't worry okay I can see that it's hot in here we didn't turn the air down it's okay we're gonna roll through baby we're gonna handle it I'm dying and sweating. I'm sorry to hear that. That's all right. So, I welcome Coop on the show, and I have- Anybody.
I have retort, well, he's the king of media. Right, but any of the media outlets would like to come on to say that we, you know, put something to their show. And you know what's even funnier to me is, here's what I've found. I'm more protective of Bear.
Oh yeah? Yeah. Right. Because I really like Bear.
I like Bear too. He's a good dude. He's a nice man. You know what I mean?
So, I get pissed off when I see people go on his show, and they don't- Don't put any effort. " Right. If you don't want to respect your own brand that you represent, fine. Show a little bit of fucking respect to the guy who coordinated this whole thing to give you additional exposure for your brand.
Sure. You know? So, yeah, it triggers me. I'm protective of my friends.
Yes, you are. You are very protective. Like, hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, this is not good.
Yeah. This is not right. Hey, you look like shit. Right.
This is why we take calls. I would much rather have you call in. Yeah, that's why, because then we don't care what you look like. Because you don't look like a piece of shit.
You're welcome. I'm protecting. We would have Eric Bay with no drawers. Yeah, exactly.
No one wants Eric. No one wants Eric in his drawers. So you're welcome for the call-ins. Right.
So that's my rant for that. But I have more feelings and in detail in regards to whatever Coop wants to throw at me, I look forward to the conversation, Coop. So when you get back from your world travels, Mr. Cooper, please give us a call.
Yes. Because we've called you on the show, you don't answer. Yes. Yes.
He didn't answer, it's true. He didn't answer. And he was very upset that he wasn't on my other birthday. Yeah, that was not my call.
Yeah. He wouldn't have come, he's in Italy! Well, back then he was in South Carolina, North Carolina. He still wouldn't have come.
Probably, you're right. Yeah. It's like me though, I want the invite so I can decline. Right, yeah.
You know what I mean? I prefer the invite to decline. Right. Maybe if he didn't think we crossed the line, he would have been on a different list.
Yeah. No, no, I like, I like, you know, I gotta be honest. Yeah? I like hearing that we crossed the line.
Oh, it doesn't bother me. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Cause then I like getting into the conversation of, how did I cross the line? Right, what do we do now?
What do we do now? What did I really do? Now- I mean, there are times where I'd be like, all right, yeah, maybe we cut those out. No, sometimes we don't, especially on the Patreon, we don't fuck with that.
I don't care what you say on Patreon, do anything you want, we don't normally even wear pants, which makes this shot kind of weird. Uh-huh, it's true. All the sword fighting and stuff, it's, it's crazy. Yeah, crazy.
So, so there's that. You can hear the bikers out back. Yeah, I did, um, I did like our first, this is like, Is it week two of football practice? Yes.
Is there a game tonight? No, we're not. I'm gonna be here for the event. Oh, thank you.
Nice. I'm keeping an eye on you. Thank you. Because I'm dying.
Yeah. It's developing. The team? Yeah, well, I have four teams now.
Four? Yeah. You only have two children. I know.
Well, yeah, but here's the problem is that you have so many kids that want to play. Right? And what happens is the kids that need more development and time don't get to see the field as much. Okay.
If you have too many kids on one team. Right? So I said, hey, let's separate all this. Just make more teams.
Let's cap out here at nine or eight. Let's cap out here at nine or eight and do that again and again. What if your teams have to play each other? Does that ever happen?
No, because they're in two different divisions. One's in gold, one's in silver. Oh, no, nobody in bronze. Bronze doesn't exist.
Right, no bronze. It's just gold and silver. It's gold and silver. Yeah.
I mean, they could've just did, like, okay and bad, but gold and silver sounds nicer. Sure, yeah, yeah, then okay and bad, right. You're the bad guys, and these are the good guys, that's the way it works. Oh, so what's really kind of funny, though, is, so, Jack's team, gold, we did a practice, pfff, terrible.
They look fucking stupid. No, they're silver. No, they're like, they look like... They're bronze.
No, they look like platinum. Wait, that's higher? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Oh, they're better.
Oh, I thought they were worse. No, they look... Jack's team. I'm like, ooh, my goodness.
Right. Because you dumbed everything down, you can focus with specific kids, you can develop. Sure. And then the silver kids, like, we didn't have as many come back as I thought we were.
Right. So we acquired some new ones. Okay. Some of these new ones, I'm like, we got a lot of ground.
We got a lot of ground. We got a lot of ground to cover. You silver guys, we got a lot of ground. We got a lot of ground.
But at least now they'll get those reps. Right. Now they get to participate. Yeah.
Oh. Do you have gold and silver for Jacks and gold and silver for Justice? I do. Oh, is it co-ed?
It is co-ed. So, eventually Teddy will be playing. Oh, yeah, yeah. You will have six teams.
Uh, I think by the time Teddy plays... Jax will be... Jax may age out. Aged out.
Yeah. Playing at high school or middle school. Middle school level or whatever, middle school flag. But I'll probably be coaching that team too.
Who the fuck are we kidding? Uh, middle school is usually a teacher. Nope. No?
Mm-mm. Oh, so it's not part of the middle school. I gotta go do a three... It's part of the middle school.
Oh. Go do a three-hour course. On how to talk to middle school children? You won't pass.
You're probably right. As long as there isn't a test at the end. Sir, you cannot swear at the children. I can't.
That's not true. There are some parents and kids that openly curse to their kids. Right. And I don't know which ones they are, and I have been accepted and granted permission.
By their parents to swear at them also. Yeah. I have a signed affidavit. I have a signed affidavit.
Right. This NDA says. NDA. I need everybody to sign this.
You can have to turn that air down, I'm dying. It's at 75, for God's sakes. You're too funny. Well, once I knew it was too hot, it just gets worse.
So, I just want everybody to be able to see his butt. Look, look, look, there it is. Oh, he leans out. Oh, there you go, perfect.
A little flexi-flexi. Oh, I can already feel the difference. Whew, I'm melting over here. Maybe my fever broke.
I went to take on a temperature last night, our fucking thermometer's dead. Yeah. I'm just, I was just miserable when I got home, like, I can't even take my temperature. You're such a baby.
And then I got, do you ever get like, when I get sick sometimes I get the chills and you start shaking? I was shaking so hard yesterday, I thought I was having a seizure. I freaked the dogs out. Oh.
" You know what's good for that? A blanket? A cold plunge. That would make me colder.
Oh, you just go for it, buddy. No, no, I got a blanket on and then the dogs all got around me and they warm me up. Oh, dude, the cold punch. No, that would be worse.
It'd make you feel better. No, it would trigger to make me cold. Kill off whatever's in there. No, I took a hot bath last night, that does it too.
I don't think so, it's the opposite. No, it's not. That's why you get a fever. You let everything thrive at that point.
6, that's why your body gets hot to try to kill off the germs. Right. So I had to raise my temperature. Yeah, so if you drop your temperature, they still can't live.
Well, I understand that, but it's much more comfortable for me to raise it than lower it. No. How do you know it's comfortable for me? Don't be such a pussy.
I'm not being a pussy. I don't have a freezer I sit in. You just need to get yourself a freezer. I don't need a freezer.
I have a freezer. I'm going to get you a freezer. No, I don't need a freezer. No, it'll be a waste of money.
Don't get a freezer. I'm going to get you a freezer. And how are we going to get Chet to spray the inside? We don't see him anymore.
Oh. Well, I'll make sure it's plastic in the interior. Oh. What, was yours metal or something?
Yeah. Does it chip off? It does. Is it chipping?
It is. Do you pick? No. No.
No, I sit there and I pray for six minutes for it to end because it's cold. Yeah, you really don't make it sound like it's fun, Michael. It's not. No.
But when you're done, you're like, yes. No, then I'm like, ah, I'm freezing. I did it. And then when you go out on the patio, 100 degree weather, it's not so bad.
Then you start sweating. Nah. Yeah. No.
No, that sounds fun. Okay. Supposed to be a cold front come through this weekend. Yeah, it's going to be like 90.
70. Is it really? It's going to be 70 starting tonight. What?
Into tomorrow, and then we're back at 90 again. Hurricane Ernesto is swirling and bringing a cold front down on the other side of the state. That is lovely. Isn't that great?
Thank you so much, Ernesto. Unusual. I asked Greg how Puerto Rico was doing because he has relatives. Miami or?
No, Puerto Rico. I didn't know. I thought it was the same thing. Remember?
Yeah. That's what Phil said. Yeah. Yeah, supposedly big power outages and crashing waves, Greg said that's every day there, it doesn't matter.
Okay, well, then, fine. Okay, well, how's it long? I don't know, it's Friday. I know, I'm just kidding.
But right now, I am in Wisconsin. Yes, when, no, no, the show will go out on Tuesday. No, you start releasing on Monday night. I do the video on Monday night.
It made a difference again this week, so we're trying again next week. So, Monday night. Oh, Monday night, you'll be right. And Tuesday, I will be in Chicago.
Oh, so you're not leaving Monday night? I fly back Tuesday. Oh. Gotcha.
You can't make a Monday night flight. It's an hour and a half drive. Oh. Hmm.
That's too bad. Yeah. Wow. Wow.
So yeah, right now, I've got to tell you, the event is going amazing. It's going well. It's doing great. Swelling.
Yeah, that's good. Good. I'm really enjoying it. Roomba Craft's doing a great job.
RoombaTron. RoombaTron. RoombaTron and Roomba Craft. And Josh.
Tyler Jones, the number one rep from Espinosa. Michael Spinoza's doing a hell of a job, yeah, yeah, who else, is there anybody else we know? Uh, Michael Rosales. I said Roma Crafts, so yeah.
Um, is, is there anybody else? I don't know what other brands are there, I don't know. Do we acknowledge those brands? Uh, I don't know, maybe we can talk bad about them.
Maybe Herklots will be there, that'd be cool. Oh, he's not, probably not gonna be there. He's not gonna, it's a lot of money for that. Matt Booth?
Fuel for that, uh, jet. For his private jet? Right. Yeah.
Matt Booth, nope, a lot of fuel for the helicopter too. Yeah. No. Let's get into some news, buddy.
Oh, we're doing those. Do you want me to do the sound? Ah, nice. From the four corners of the world, here is Cigar Hustlers Podcast News.
Some shit like that. Yeah, it's close enough. I have to find it. It's good, it's on there somewhere.
Well, there's one definite article that I wanted you to cover. Yes, that is on there. Here we go. Alright, that's the second story.
Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Lancero arrives at Stateline Cigar Exclusive. Wow, Stateline. Stateline. Espinosa Premium Cigars has created a new Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Lancero as an exclusive release for Stateline Cigars in Newark.
Is that Delaware? Is that Delaware? It says Delaware. Is that Newark or New Jersey?
I mean, there's probably one in Newark, buddy. Like the other Lanceros in Espinosa's portfolio, it's a 7 1/2 by 38 Vitola and uses the Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Blank. It's a sandwich Maduro blend of an Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper. Haven't we been there?
Didn't you go there with me? Stateline? Yeah. I think we did if it's in Delaware.
Yeah, that's when Lu Liga worked there. Oh, yeah, yeah, we've been there then. Delaware. He bought a very lovely watch today with the money from his investor.
Did you? Oh, nice. Yeah, supposedly. Did you ever see, um, Wayne's World?
Yes. Delaware. Wayne's World. Wayne's World.
Party time. Delaware. Yeah, I've seen it. Yeah, I've seen it.
It talks about Delaware. Ah, Cinecarone, Binder and Filler. It's produced by the San Latino Factory in Octal, Nicaragua, and production, do you think Cowboy's been to Octal, Nicaragua? Probably not.
No. No, it didn't sound like he got off the pan in American. Oh, that's right, it's not off the highway. I wasn't sure where Octal was.
Yeah. Never been. Where is the factory? Where the production numbers undisclosed, best one knows it.
50 per cigar and $145 for a box of 10. 10! Works out evenly that way. While the Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Lancero is exclusive for Stainline Cigars, the line is available in four regular production sizes.
Everybody knows that. We don't need to talk about that. Yeah, I want an exclusive, Jack. Yeah, we would like an exclusive.
I want an exclusive. We would like an exclusive Knuckle Sandwich Gordo. I want... No, we don't.
We don't want a Gordo? That's ridiculous. Well, then we call it the Big Sandwich. That sounds ridiculous.
Well, you don't want a small one. Somebody just did the skinny sandwich. Oh, yeah? What size is that?
The Lancero. I want a Corona Gorda. They don't do that yet? What do we call it?
I want a special blend. No, no, you got to use the, what do they call it? The Knuckles Sandwich, Ecuadorian, Sumatra. No, no, no, I don't want so much.
Sumatra Maduro. I don't want so much. You want the Connecticut? I like the Knuckles Sandwich.
I want to have a back and forth, and I want to say this is what I want to do. And I'll call it like. I don't think it works that way. I feel like it could work that way.
You think so? Like the Knuckle Sandwich Ice Cream Cake or some shit. Oh! Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's nice. Because a sandwich could be so many things. Sure. What's your favorite sandwich?
Ice cream. Why don't we call it the Knuckle Sandwich Burrito? What's your favorite sandwich? That's not a sandwich.
Could be. What's your favorite sandwich? Ice cream? Ice cream sandwich.
Oh. I guess so. Right? Yeah.
Alright, you ready for the big story? It would be better than Strike Force, Jack. That's all I'm saying. Strike Force, that's not part of the Knuckle Sandwich line.
It's not? No. What is it? I think it's a Guy Fieri Strike Force.
I don't think it's a Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich Strike Force. Are you sure? No, I'm not positive. I feel like it is.
I know I've seen his picture associated with Guy Fieri. Yeah, he did a whole thing. Yeah, right. Where he's dressed up like Darth Vader or something.
Guy Fieri was? Sure. No. His hair is sticking out of that thing.
The hat that Darth Vader wears. How is that linked with Strike Force? It's a Strike Force, I think. Oh, no, that would be a...
Oh, hold on, that must be a different cigar, so when I was in Jack's office. Yeah, that's a totally different cigar. Right, that's strike space. Yeah.
Space strike. Space strike. A completely different cigar. Yeah.
It's not even a knuckle sandwich, I heard. No. Yeah. No, it's not.
Made it to San Lantano factory though in Octol. These podcasts are so much more peaceful without film. Aren't they? Nobody's saying anything stupid but us.
When we're having fun with it. And there's no click clicky clicky clicky. All right, the big story of the week is Davidoff exhibits at the PCA 2025. Yay!
That is... Why are we all so happy? The big story. Davidoff of Geneva, USA has announced that it will exhibit at the 2025 PCA Convention and Trade Show, which takes place in April 11th through the 14th in New Orleans.
, and one that Davidoff hasn't exhibited since 2019. Previously, Michael, Davidoff was one of four large companies joined by Altidus, Drew Estate, and General Cigar Company. Yeah. They call themselves the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Yeah. They pulled out of the 2020 PCA Convention and Trade Show due to a wide range of issues. We are the Four Horsemen. But unfortunately, nothing happened to the PCA Trade Show when they left.
It existed still. It still happened for the last four years. Ah, yes. The other three companies were all exhibitors last year.
So, you know, there's that. Davidoff's a little late to the game. Yeah, probably they didn't know that nobody told them. Oh, you guys are back?
" Here's what happened. Here's what happened. Drew Estate and the other two. Right, Altidus.
Yeah, was the last one. And the other big guy, General. They got together and said, "Here's what we're going to do. " right we're gonna slide back in slide back in quietly and get another couple years advance well just one another came back last year another year's advance right don't have to compete against david off because we tried to do the whole tpe thing and that shit didn't work it didn't work there's a lot of vapes now we don't we don't like those too much weed too much weed too much weed too much weed and so they slid in they slid in right okay we're back yeah we're back where's davidoff we don't know who we called him yeah no we said we left the message yeah they didn't answer we don't know what to tell you we let we inform them right they got the memo i have a read receipt on the email yeah i don't know what happened and now davidoff's coming back like man fuck you guys fuck you guys you didn't tell it well they don't they don't i don't think they use that language you don't think so yeah maybe damn you guys maybe maybe damn you people you people you people they You came back and didn't tell us.
You have betrayed me. You have betrayed the Davidoff. There will be no Winston Churchill for you. Oh, bum bum bum.
And Jonathan Drew's like, that's perfectly fine. Perfectly fine, I don't care. I'm gonna smoke my acids. I got all these flavored things over here.
I got one that smells like my feet now. It's really good. It's called the foot. It's a Cuba Cuba foot.
It's my favorite. Is this a collab with Guy Vieri? Yeah, it's the Knuckle Foot. The Knuckle Foot?
The Knuckle Foot Sandwich. Oh, nice. It's delicious. It's like a foot long.
Yeah? Get it, foot long? Are they making short ones called the toenail clippings? No.
No? No, not yet. That's what we sprinkle on it. Oh, the sprinkle is on.
Yeah, on the top. I've been saving them for years. Like, what's his name? The Crazy Rich Guy.
Who's the Crazy Rich Guy? I'm going to need you to elaborate on the Crazy Rich Guy. You remember? It's from...
Hugh. Hugh, yeah, yeah, him. The aviator? Yeah, yeah, Hugh Grant, it's not Hugh Grant.
It's not Hugh Grant. No, no, but yeah, that guy. Howard Hughes? Howard Hughes, yeah, yeah, he used to save his clippings in the jars.
Yeah, yeah. Good for him. Jonathan thought that's how he got rich. It could have been that, I don't know.
Got it. Is this crossing the line, Coop? I don't know. Did we cross the line here?
Did we cross the line here? All four will be exhibitors next year, yay! In a press release, Davidoff said that the decision to move the trade show from its typical date over the summer to earlier in the year better fits our schedule. So we thought we'd come back.
Well, it was like that way last year. Right, better fits, yeah, but it was in the hot Vegas. We don't like hot Vegas. It's gonna be in balmy New Orleans instead.
We would like to go in balmy New Orleans. In balmy New Orleans. Industry's business cycle and projects the opportunity of more impactful presentation of the company's brands and programs going forward. What about, why don't we do like Mexico or something?
We want to go to Mexico. I don't know. Cartel and stuff. Yeah.
I can't blend. I feel like Alaska would be great. I can't blend into Mexico, Michael. No?
No, you maybe can. Yeah. Get a tan, dark hair? Yeah.
Uh-uh. Yeah. I'm not blending. Nope.
I got enough people wanting to kill me. Speak a little Spanish. Yeah. Hola.
Let's see. He's that in recent conversation with BCA leadership, we have found close alignments and a shared vision of shaping our beautiful industry future. Nobody talks this way. Yes, they do.
From Zach Medwin? No, no, no. He's not even the real president. He's the interim president and commercial director in the press release.
Nobody talks that way. He does. No. No, they don't.
If you're AI, that's what they say. Well, if you're AI, that's what I mean. He does not speak that way. He chat GPT'd it before he called.
" He played it. The PCA event is more than just a trade show for us. It's an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the premium cigar industry. So I guess for the last four years, they've had no commitment to the industry?
Yeah. Is that what they're trying to say? Pretty much. Oh.
Okay. Commitment to the premium cigar industry and our valued business partners. So they didn't value the business partners either, apparently. That's a new thing now.
Yeah, now the value is important. Right. That's why he's the intern guy, because the other guy, he was like, man, fuck those retailers. retailers.
Don't say that. It's you people. You. You people.
Fuck you people. They don't say that. It's Davidoff. Opportunity to reaffirm.
We are looking forward to spotlighting our iconic brand, connecting with all industry stakeholders, and continuing to strengthen our long-standing partnerships. Nobody talks that way. Nobody. You know, you can tell AI to dumb it down a little, or you can say make it more exciting.
You can even say make it scary. You think they make it more scary? They do. Yeah.
I'm looking for more scary. More scary? Yeah. Oh, well, you can do that.
But I mean, what do you say? Put in big words? Put in big words. I need a lot of big words.
Throw big words in there. Throw big words. I would like partnership, stockholder, business partners, reaffirm. Well, Davidoff has not been an exhibitor since 2019.
Add the words or else. Right. Well, Davidoff is not, you know, you're not supposed to say "please" or "thank you" to your chat GPT. Really?
Yeah. Why not? It has to do it anyway. It makes it too comfortable.
Oh, yeah? That's what I heard. Well, we want to make it comfortable. We don't want it to develop into weapons of destruction.
Oh, shoot. Skynet. Skynet, yeah. I'm the nice one.
I said "please" and "thank you". Aaron, do you remember me? I can be your friend. I can be your friend.
I can be your pet. I said "please". For many years, Davidoff is known for hosting an annual trade show's most formal event. Why did we never get invited to that?
Yeah. You're in good with Michael Herklats now, can't you? Maybe Michael will get us in. We should go.
Do I have to wear like a suit? Read on. Oh, okay. Once known as a Davidoff dinner and later as the Golden Band Awards, Davidoff hosted a black tie.
Yeah, black tie. You lost me. If I could wear the shirt that looks like a tux? Oh, we should do that.
Then I would do that. I have to wear a jacket. Formal dinner during the trade show for retailers that carry the company's... What?
E-P-E-P-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S? E-P-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S. They carry their... Can they just say the company's products?
E-P-O. Say it. E-P-O-N-I-M. N-I-O-S.
No, there's an M. M-O-S. That would be M-O-S, not N-O-S. Not nose.
Epo. Epo. My. Nye.
Nye. Nye. Nye Mos. Mos.
Epo Nye Mos. Epo Nye Mos. White label cigars. There's been no announcement about whether the dinner will come back.
We're, you know, we're under budget. We're under budget. We haven't been back in four years. We're just now starting to spotlight our partners and stuff.
We're not exactly sure if we're sold on the dinner yet. Nobody's getting a steak. Yeah, we got an interim president. You know, he's not allowed to make these kinds of decisions on his own.
So I reach out to Michael and say, "Hey, listen, I don't need an invite. " That's right. We don't care. And can we bring our speaker?
Are you gonna tell me no? " He's not gonna tell you no. " All right, new CAO, Thundersmoke. We need a cool name for a line, Michael.
Thundersmoke. Thundersmoke. Sounds like a rebrand in Nicaragua, if you ask me. The new CAO Thundersmoke uses tobacco from three African countries.
Three. Three African countries. And it's very stormy in all three. Yes.
And smoky. And it's a very big cigar. So we call it Thundersmoke. The new CAO Arcana Thundersmoke has a filler that is made of tobacco from those three countries, while smokers are like, oh wait, so Cameroon, South African, and Zimbabwe.
Oh. Zimbabwe tobacco. Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe. 5x52 Toro Extra. Really? It's African.
It's extra. What was the name of the country for Black Panther? I can't think of it. Wakanda.
Thank you. Nothing from Wakanda? Oh, I'm sorry, I misread it. Cameroon, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Wakanda.
Thank you. Sorry, I misread it. I didn't see that. Is that the filler, or is it the binder?
The filler. It's the filler. Definitely the filler. Wakanda.
Wakandanese filler. I would suspect that you could grow really good tobacco integrating the vibranium. Sure, right. Yeah, in the vibranium soil.
Yeah. Right. It gives you some of the powers of the Black Panther. But it's only temporary.
Yeah, it's not forever. Because, you know, they burned all that stuff in that last movie. Yeah, once it weens off. Yeah.
They burned it all? In Wakanda forever? In the second one, they burned it all. I stopped watching.
You didn't watch the second one? I didn't. I started to. Oh, I didn't watch the third one.
The third one was really just dim. There's a third one? Yeah, there's three of them. - What?
- Oh no, that's the first one. They burned it in the first one. First one's where the Prince was, Prince Chikanda, or whatever his name was, T'Challa, or whatever. - Yeah.
- He, they thought he killed him, but he didn't kill him. Yeah, that's the first one. - Right. - So, what's his name?
Burned it all in the second one. In the first one, I'm sorry, first one. - Ah. - Except for the one that Prince T'Challa's girlfriend hid.
- Gotcha. - Right, that's how he got the powers back. But then he died of cancer, technically, in real life. Yeah.
Very sad. Now the sister, I guess, is the Black Panther. The sister is? That's what I heard.
I couldn't watch the all the next one. It was bad acting, man. It was bad. It was terrible.
Yeah. And they've got guys with flying around with wings on their ankles or something. Oh, that's nice. That was the bad guys.
I don't know. All right, back to the- Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. CAO Thundersmoke.
Vibranium, go. We are pushing the boundaries of cigar making, venturing into uncharted territories to craft an unparalleled smoking experience in the The Wakandanese in Tobacco, Set Ed Lahannaman, Senior Brand Manager, yes, for CEO in a press release, our mantra, Wakanda Forever, there's a picture of him doing that, we go where the tobacco takes us, Wakanda Forever, has guided us to innovate and redefine the industry standards to use Wakandanese in tobacco. This release is not just a milestone for CAO, it's a bold leap forward for the entire cigar world and African nation of Wakanda. I can picture like some guy dressed as Indiana Jones on this eternal quest going through country after country seeking out tobacco.
Wasn't that Nick Malillo? Yeah. That's how he found the Jamaican tobacco, wasn't it? " What is this?
Yeah, that's how that worked. Okay, what do you want? I don't know how much time we had here. I didn't turn nothing.
I feel good about wherever we're at. 35 minutes. Well, no, we have a couple Florida stories, but let's do one more. So I either hear Cavalier Genevieve announces a new French distributor.
Eh. Okay. Elijah Blue ships a $20,000 Fuente... Excuse me.
Yeah. Yeah. Elijah Blue ships a $20,000 Fuente Hemingway House of Dreams Humidor? We should get one of those.
It's $20,000, Greco will have a heart attack. I know. Or, okay, or we jump right to the Florida stores. Tell me the Elijah Blue.
In the latest collaboration between Arturo Fuente and Elijah Blue, a French accessory company began shipping last Friday, it's called the Elijah Blue, the Hemingway House of Dreams at Chateau de la Fuente. And it's an MSRP of $20,000. It's the long ass name, you're paying by the letter. That price includes...
Bluetooth? No. A limited edition humidor that is designed to look like a building that sits at Chateau de la Fuente. Wi-Fi?
No. The farm owned by Arturo Fuente in Caribe, the Dominican Republic, that produces all the tobacco used for the Fuente Opus X line, in addition to each humidor, it comes with 60, 6-0. Yeah. Exclusive cigars, the Hemingway Opus X.
Some type of headset? No. Okay. But this is what is confusing.
So, it looks like the house of dreams that sits at Chateau de la Fuente. Does it have electric? The farm? No.
So, it looks like a house, but it's not electric. Correct. Running water? No, you can't live in it.
Some type of toilet. So, earlier they said it looks like the Chateau de la Fuente, the house at the farm. Yeah. Okay, now down here, they say, as for the humidor, it measures four, blah, blah, blah.
It is designed to look like the Hemingway House, a building Fuente built that is modeled after Ernest Hemingway's house in Key West. So does it look like Ernest Hemingway's house in Key West, or does it look like Chateau de la Fuente? Maybe Chateau de la Fuente is designed to look like that. It does look like the Hemingway House, I've seen the Hemingway House, I've been there, with the six-toe cats and stuff.
Does it have a large man that kind of looks like Santa Claus in it? Uh, he's in the window up on the upper left-hand side, smoking a cigar, drinking a glass. Yeah? No, he's just standing there.
It's painted in the window. Is it? Yeah, it's not 3D or anything. You'd think it'd be 3D.
For 20,000, you would think. Yeah. I wonder how many of these they've made. For 20,000, you would think.
20,000, you think you'd get a 3D? I mean, some kind of, just give me an LED screen. For 20,000, I should get actually Hemingway coming to my house, too. I mean...
Or at least a fingernail. Yeah, sure, why not? Here is a fingernail clipping. Of Mr.
Fuente. Of Mr. Hemingway. All right, now we have a couple Florida stories from Mr.
Manti. Okay. Drunk Naked Man Tries to Breach Through Security at Fort Lauderdale Airport. I saw photos.
This is ridiculous. Drunk Naked Man? A man who was caught on camera going on a naked, drunken walk through the terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has been arrested, authorities said. m.
Monday when 36-year-old Martin Evitimov parked his vehicle on the sidewalk outside Terminal 1 Brevard, Sheriff's County office, said... What's the guy's name again? Martin. Martin, Martin, Martin, Martin, who was naked, uh, yeah, Skip Martin, Skip Martin, who was naked, walked into the terminal and breached a security, a TSA, uh, checkpoint, officials said.
Video posted on by Only in Dade showed Martin casually strolling through the terminal, passing shock travelers as he made his way to the checkpoint. Martin resisted arrest when he was approached by deputies and TSA officers. I would have never guessed that. How did he get that far and naked?
He parks up front, walks in, gets in the line at TSA. Nobody does anything while he's in line until he gets up to where... What airport? Empty your pockets here, Fort Lauderdale.
I don't have any pockets. Do you notice? I have nothing except my prison wallet. It's the only thing I got stuff in.
I get it. Who is that? It's not live. Is it being recorded?
It's being recorded. Yeah, I don't have you linked up to the mic, but yeah, here you go. Yeah, it's Eric Bay. I don't know when he has clothes on though.
Yeah, we call him, he has no drawers. Yeah. Yeah, just the apron. No, Cliff was just wearing the apron.
Cliff wears the apron. Do you remember at the trade show when I was up there, I said, is there anybody you wanted me to go see? And you said, why don't you go see those guys at Black Star? Yeah.
I never went to go see him. I'm not surprised. He doesn't know. Only Ronnie has good ideas.
You're a sea of disappointment. Okay. I didn't really much have much. Are we going to have our show about China anytime soon?
Yes. When I get back. Okay. I love you.
I love you too. You guys have fun. Everybody take out the drawers. All right.
Bye. He wants to do a show about China? No, no. Don't get ahead of ourselves.
Oh. I have content. Oh. Weeding through weeks at a time now.
Oh, so nice. As we weave our way through the cigar industry. Insulting people and crossing lines. And just dominating.
Yes. Yeah. Alright, caught on camera, Child Helps Wrangler Alligator at the MLK Parkway in Jacksonville, Florida. Nice.
The Jacksonville Sheriff... So wait, wait, the guy that was naked. That was it, yeah, he was arrested. Yeah, but he said it happened in Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale. And you were wondering... How did he get that from? How does that happen?
How does he get from outside, he gets into the airport, stands in line at TSA, and does not get apprehended And until he's trying to go through the metal detector. Who's going to stop him? I don't know. There's police at the airport.
There's a naked dude with his dick out. I'll tell you how that breaks down. Yes. " The next guy is going to have to deal with that.
Probably right. Yeah. I'm not touching the naked crazy guy. You don't have to touch him.
Can you just go excuse me, sir? The guy's walking in naked. You don't think that you're going to have to stop him? Because he's going.
" That's what we pay them for, Mike. Oh, I'm so sorry. I don't, I apparently have no clothes on. I must, I must leave.
That doesn't, that's not how that works. That's what we pay them for. That's what the money's for? That's what the money's for.
That is what the money's for. But that doesn't mean that they're all going to do their job. Oh, so disappointed. I'm going to tell you right now, if I'm a cop.
Very disappointed in the Florida Police Department. Listen to me. Yes. If I'm a cop, and I wake up in the morning, and I have my cup of coffee, I'm fucking tired, shit didn't go right the day before, whatever.
whatever i just had to i had to deal with some dui fucking assault whatever right i totally got shit on it was just a bad fucking day right i go and i check in at the airport and i see a naked guy stroll past me i'm like yeah no fuck that not today i'm stopping him no you're not yes i am no you're not yes i am no you're not yes i am okay i'm at least going to address the excuse me sir where are your pants maybe somebody did address him and he just said no they said nobody nobody They didn't even talk to him. They said the passengers shunned him. "Oh, no, I can't see that. Oh, it's terrible.
" I mean, like, off the rip. " Here's a clip for this. " He does look like he's a very fit young man. Six foot tall, dark hair.
Completely your type. Yeah, look at those glutes. Look at those glutes, right? You do a lot of squats there, buddy?
Alright, he appeared in court on Tuesday where he was granted a $3,500 bond. He was also told to undergo a mental health screening and stay away from alcohol and the airport. Yeah, that's a safe assumption. How do you get drunk and go, "You know what I want to do?
" Dude, I used to work at a bar, man. What does that have to do with an airport? You got all types of crazy people when they get drunk. I've never asked to go to the airport.
I had a guy one day, this is a good story, super nice guy. He's a super nice guy. But, you know, he always got into his cubs. He got into his cubs, right.
Yeah. Whenever he would pass out at the bar, I would let him pass out at the bar. Right. Like, if it was late on a Sunday.
Are you supposed to call somebody when people pass out at the bar? No, you can wake them up and you can get them out or whatever. But like, he was like a lawn guy, like he had... Lawn service.
Yeah. And this guy works his ass off, you can tell. Very fit, very tan. tan no none of that he was an older guy oh completely out of shape and at sunburn yes okay yeah right and apparently a slight drinking problem slight is an understatement right so when this guy would get completely obliterated thank you follow me uh uh blit blit or a a tid there you go obliterated there you go when he would get completely obliterated sometimes i would Just let him, if he was at the edge of the bar or whatever, just let him sleep on the bar.
Like he's fine. I know that he ain't gonna get hurt. Like, I know he ain't gonna get in self in trouble. Just let him fucking...
Let him sleep at all for a little while. Yeah. One day, one day I'm there and all of a sudden I hear like a water running. Right.
And I'm like... He's peeing in the floor. What the fuck is that? Yeah, homies just flat out took a piss...
While he's passed out. at the bar. That's why you don't let drunk people sit at the bar. It's the whole thing of the bar.
The whole thing of the bar to pee at the bar? No, you get drunk. I've never peed at a bar. People get drunk at the bar.
Right. Yeah. That's the thing. Don't you stop them at a certain point?
I don't remember how he got that shit face. Well, apparently you served him a lot of drinks. No, I mean, I could have just been coming on on the shift. Oh, it was Brittany's fault.
Uh. No. No. Greg.
Greg would let you drink until you threw up. Yeah, Greg would definitely. Yeah, he would let you. Oh, you know what?
You need doubles now. You drink doubles. You know, sometimes it's hard to tell. You know, like, if I came on, I don't know how many drinks he had.
Sure. Maybe I gave him two beers. And that was when it was enough to put him over. And that was when he got there.
The coop line, we'll call it. The coop line? That was enough to put him over the coop line. You pushed too far, even for you guys.
Even for you guys. So he drank too much, even for him. Yeah. Was that the good story?
That was. Not so much. You didn't think it was a good story? Not so much, no.
I saw where that was going as soon as you said there was running water. Yeah, well, you never let me finish my stories. That's because they're easier to figure out, Michael. It's because you're an asshole.
I am not an asshole. Yes, you are. I am your best friend, Michael. Doesn't mean that you're not an asshole.
Sure does. It doesn't. Yes, it does. All right, now there's a little boy that helped them catch an alligator.
Okay. The gator was out in the middle of the road when a marked JSO patrol car rolled up. Officers were standing... Where?
JSO? Jacksonville. State officer? Yeah, I guess, apparently.
Officers were standing around when the gator decided to go into action and ended up crawling under the officer's patrol car. They always go under the police cars. It's safe there. Yeah, the large reptile seemed very content with his new location and took another ten minutes for backup to arrive to help remove the alligator.
A Wrangler used a catch pole to drag the gator out from under the car. It didn't take very long for the Wrangler to force the gator out and then the gator's jaw was wide open when it was dragged from under the car. The gator was not happy. Very upset gator.
It could be seen whipping back and forth, fighting the wrangler. The gator ended up doing a barrel roll, which is called the roll of death. Ah. How long is this gator?
Ten feet. Was it? Yeah. Ten footer.
On the side of the road. We lost count of how many times. Eventually, the gator calmed down long enough for the wrangler to sit on top of it. That's what they do.
I've seen it on TV. Yeah. And that's when he called over his special helper, a child, can be seen on camera, helping to tape up the gator's mouth. So the kid ran over with the tape, and just...
I mean, look, he's already got the fucking mouth clamped. Still, it's a 10 year old kid. So what? News 4 Jacks has learned, the boy comes from...
Probably his kid. The boy comes from a family of alligator wranglers. He's just learning the trade. Right.
The wrangler loaded the gator in the truck of his car, were curled up inside the trunk, and was never seen again. They ate the gator? If it's over six feet, they kill it. Yeah, why not, why not just kill it on the scene?
People don't want to see that, Michael. Oh, I'm a police officer. That might be something I will partake in. If I was a police officer, why can't I just shoot it?
That's what I'm saying. Gator. Right. Stop resisting.
Stop resisting. It attacked. It had a knife. I read it, it's right.
It had a knife. It had a knife. Quick, throw the knife down. Bob, throw the knife down on the other.
Put the gun by the gator. Get the gun off your ankle, throw it by the gator. See, he pulled the gun off. He pulled the gun off.
He had a gun. Bob, he's got a gun! Okay, now throw the gun out. Everybody saw.
He looks at Bob. Do you think we can shoot the gator? Fuck yeah. Can I shoot him too?
Yeah, sure. I'll pop off a couple of them. You got a listener of the week? Uh, no.
Do you? Lake Country Cigar. Oh, make a mad tie. Okay.
I did have a listener of the week. Oh, go ahead then. My buddies Alex and George. Are they a couple?
No, they're not a couple. Sorry. They're my buddies from the gym. Oh, so they are a couple.
They saw, uh, no, they're friends. They work out together. They actually saw a social media clip of us. Oh.
And they came up to the shop. Oh, nice. Yeah. Oh, wait.
Did you know them before that? Yeah. I've known them for years. Oh.
So why did they come, they didn't know from working out with you that you sold cigars? You wear cigar hustler tank tops and stuff. No, I don't. You used to.
I don't anymore. I wear a hoodie and I try and scare people. Oh. Yeah.
Gotcha. Alex and George. Alex and George. Not a couple.
Not a couple. Not a couple. And Matai. They have same last name?
No. They live together? No. Do they hang out besides working on them?
I don't know. Probably. Well, they both came here together. Uh, today they're supposed to come here.
Oh, they're coming today! Alex came by himself. Before. Oh.
Gotcha. Well, there you go, gentlemen. Congratulations. Listeners of the week.
Do they listen to the show? Yeah. So they will hear this? I'll make sure that they hear it.
Oh, okay. There's that coop line way over there. All right, it's been episode 348. You got a shop of the week?
No, I got a shop of the week. Not a shop? Not a shop. Nobody bought the last two days.
Oh, tight, tight days. Dude, Secreto. He made a big order. Secreto?
Secreto. There you go. You know, it's listed as a secret vault or something on a shop list. It's very confusing.
That's what it was under originally. Oh, that's what it was called before? Yeah. Lake Country Bot, too, though, they could be shopping the week.
They've been shopping the week for a while. That's sure. Well, you're going there on Monday. I already did it.
Right. How about Cigar Hustler? How about Secreto? Okay.
With the Chinese problems he's having. Secreto Cigars. Secreto Cigars in Michigan. I forget what city it is.
Ferndale. Ferndale. That's right. I don't really think it's Ferndale.
I think that's the address, but I don't think it is actually Ferndale. It is Ferndale. All right. Ferndale.
All right. All right, uh, we don't gotta get out of here, but we gotta go. I have another show to do. Oh, in 15 minutes.
All right, gotta go. Bye. This has been episode 349. All right, 348.
I already changed the number for this week. 350. host Mike Szczepankevich with any feedback or suggestions that you have for their shows. These broadcasts are presented and made public as entertainment in the hope that they will be entertaining to the audience.
