*Music* One, microphone. Two. Thank you. Three.
Couldn't even, couldn't even read it. Couldn't even read it. And the camera's still not on me. Oh.
Welcome to a Cigar Hustler Podcast. Premium cigars, unfiltered opinions. Someone made the font the wrong size. Someone made the font really small.
Yeah, it's extremely small. Premium cigars, unfiltered opinions, and conversations that go anywhere. How do you read it with one letter at a time? I'm used to it.
Yeah. D. P. Palmer.
With me today is my co-host, our very own King, Michael Szczepankewicz. Hi. Oh. You're really gonna bring it today?
Where's your, uh, I bring it every day. Where's my what? Your transmitter. Is it away from your other one?
It's, uh, hooked on this pocket. Okay. Uh, behind the board, we have with us again, uh, late, just like his brother, Mr. Tim McGuffey.
There he is. Guy starts for one week, and he's already late. Late, already late. We haven't even made it through the whole week.
We shouldn't, we shouldn't have canceled singing. He offered to come in with his gym clothes. He's like, hey, you know, I can drop everything right now. Right, be there on time, even though you don't need me, even though I'm not scheduled.
How do you feel about that, Tim? It's impressive. Yeah? Yeah, it's impressive.
He's impressed with Ziggy. We're going to have to teach Ziggy the board. What do you think it is? Do you think it's, between you and Phil, it's like just failed parenting, as far as showing up and being on time?
You know, Philly and I, he calls me Timmy sometimes, it goes back to the roots of the Klan. Not that clan. Oh my God. The McGuffey clan.
Tim's probably in the clan. I mean, not Tim, but Phil's probably in the clan. If anybody was worried about Tim not saying dumb shit, because Phil says dumb shit, I give you the first two minutes of this podcast. Yeah, yeah.
Welcome. Okay. Just for your information, Tim, we're trying to cut back on the swearing because we're starting to get violations. - Yeah.
- I wasn't talking about that clan. - No, no, I understand, so don't drop the F-bomb. - But you dropped some F-bombs. - Yeah.
- Well, you know, Keanu did. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, so I'm just letting you know, we're getting violations, so. - Keanu's got a potty mouth. - We're trying to watch it.
- So clean it up, will you? - Yeah, so from cigars, sports and business, to pop culture and the wildest headlines, if it's worth discussing, we're gonna talk about it. No safe spaces, just real perspectives, big laughs and chaos at any moment. Settle in and welcome to Cigar Hustlers Podcast.
dun dun dun i missed the soundboard where we could program that stuff in i think that has a soundboard no it doesn't there's no buttons oh i think you can add one oh sure you can we should look into that on today's show you mean you yeah okay on today the me and the mouse in my pocket you and the mouse in your pocket yeah okay on today's show well that didn't work as planned what's your mouse's name phil you have a mouse name phil yes this is where he is phil the mouse No, it's not Phil McGuffey, it's Phil the Mouse. Right. The Mouse is all one word. Phil the Mouse also, does it have a mask?
It does, as a matter of fact, yes, a little pink Deadpool. These YouTube thumbnails just write themselves. They do. I saw this, okay, on today's show, well, that didn't work as planned.
I saw this on TV once. $500 is $500, and then in cigars, oh, I didn't write down what happens in cigars. We have new cigars, new cigars, some shipping cigars. And probably some cigars we don't really care to talk about.
There's some cigars. There's cigars. Okay. But first, Mikey, what are the people saying?
Well, the first thing they're saying is like and subscribe wherever you're viewing and listening to the show. com for all your chpod swag, where the Smoking Ghost is currently available in both t-shirt and sticker. com, Us Cigar Hustlers Podcast, the giveaway for this month is gonna be really cool, we kind of gently have mentioned it, we mentioned it on the Patreon exactly what we're doing, if you want to partake in that, you're gonna have to become a member and find that. Maybe if you say what it is.
I don't want to say what it is. Then maybe more people will become patrons. I would say what it is if I thought that it was appropriate for me to say what it is on the current team. I told you not at me.
At him. Okay. Well, listen, you just looked at me and you went, ooh. I thought it was a valid question.
No. Yeah, it is. It's a very valid question. Apparently not.
We don't talk about what we're giving away. Okay. Unless we feel like it's okay to talk about it. All right.
The current bid for the Melted War Bear. Melted Bear Hat is at $61 and holding fast. Hmm. Sitting pretty.
With Chris W. in the lead. " What you chimps are confusing is the Luger. Yeah, that's...
Yes. Luger's a German gun. Yeah. Is that what you guys are trying to figure out?
That's what I thought it was. Oh. Gotcha. Makes sense.
a. Paul. I don't think it's Paul. I know who it is.
He told you who he was. Yeah, that's right. I'm still going to say it's Paul. Whatever, dude.
Luger, Ruger. I mean, look, it's one letter. I don't, that shouldn't have been okay. 20%.
All you can do is change it, 20%. Luger's German. So it's a completely different set of rules. Yeah, exactly.
So, the company's name was Ruger? Wow, that's pretty close, yeah. Stay on that mic, Tim. Yeah.
That's pretty close. That's much better. There you go, there you go. How did I do it great the other day?
There we go. @CW6383 says, "Hell of an episode. Keanu makes it his own. He is very dynamic.
I don't know who that is. Is it Keanu? Yeah, Keanu's a, yeah. Yeah, he's another guy we have on the show.
He's a guy who's on, he was usually on time? He's on this side of the camera. Yeah, he's usually on time. Yeah.
It's him though. Well, it took, it took several years for him to get on time and like copious amounts of speeches. However. A lot of breaks given to him.
However, he falls off every once in a while and he forgets. At CW6383 also says: Rimfire and centerfire refer to where the firing pin strikes the shell casing. Also, precisely where Phil gets fired in his previous movies. Yes.
Rimfire and centerfire. Oh, right. Ew. As a matter of fact, that is the name of the new movie.
Rimfire? Phil McGuffey, Rimfire. You obviously don't watch the show. I write the shows.
You didn't watch Yesterday's. No, I didn't watch Yesterday's. Yeah. At Lance Frazier 4748 says, "It was definitely entertaining.
" Peace and hair grease? Yeah. Did he? Oh.
Maybe. Did he? Yeah, that was part of it. Mm-hmm.
Living like a king in prison. I don't know, was my hair a little greasy yesterday? I mean, was Keanu's hair a little greasy yesterday? It's a totally different guy.
Totally different guy. At Jared Harper from the CH Pod Lounge says, "Love the mic and Keanu roll switch. " You know that you mixed up the-- I thought he was sitting over here. Yeah.
I don't think that he's-- He sat over here before? I mean, he'd probably be all right there. I think Keanu at that time read it a little fast, but I think he might understand now to read a little slower. Yeah.
You think that his, you think that Tim would understand to stay on the mic. Right. I was doing, I mean... You're doing it now.
No, no. Yeah, yeah. It was me, Tim. He was doing fine the other day.
I don't know what happened with the mic. Yeah. There we go. I'll just stay right here.
It's that whole being on time thing that's got you all screwed up. It's got me all screwed up. It's because you like to turn your head. Yeah, at Chris Weiss says, from the CH Pod Lounge, says, "Missed my buddy Palmer today.
" Aww, thank you, Chris. You have my phone number, you can always call me. He was busy. Chris was?
He's sleeping. Yeah. Yeah. 0 says, "I like the rotation.
It really is good to have you back, though, Phil. " And if he can only hear it because he's gone again today. Yeah. So he will never hear your kind words because we won't tell him.
Yeah, we're not going to say. And he never listens. The undead Phil is back to being dead Phil currently. Yes, you refer to him now as Zombie Phil.
Zombie Phil. You know, what's amazing to me is the whole intention of bringing on other people - We're to kind of fill that rotation. - Right. - 'Cause this is obviously becoming an issue.
- Yes. - And we explained that to him. I said, hey, if you're not here, and then if we have to be somewhere, the other, Siggy and Keanu can fill our seats, Tim can fill your seat. - Right.
- And he's like, well, I didn't really miss a lot. - Right. I'll be there. And then sure as shit.
Not here. The next day. I think it makes it easier for him not to be here now. Because before, if you weren't here, you're like, oh, I might be causing the guy's problems.
You know, there'll be a man down, blah, blah. Then we rotated in Greg. And that got to be too much for Greg because he was not here. And now we have more people who's like, oh, they really don't need me to be there.
I can do anything I want. Right. Show up for my one day a week to stay active on the show. Yeah.
At some point, we're just going to have to go, we're sorry. But if you can't make time, then we're just gonna give it to Tim. - I don't think that that has to happen. I think that it just happens by itself.
- Yeah, okay, all right. - You know what I mean? - I would just like a line, definite line, where look, we've had enough of this everyday thing, you know, you cancelling an hour and a half before the show. - Well, here's the line.
After three weeks of him not coming in saying, hey, I think I can make it, we're gonna be like, you haven't been on the show for three weeks. I think we're good. He's still gonna pop in one day a week just so he stays. You think so?
Yeah. I think to start, you may. I think to start you may. I think once the changes go upstairs, I'm not gonna see him.
Yeah. Because then it's not running downstairs. Then it's a little bit out of the way then at that point. Right, yeah, we become even more of a hindrance or inconvenience.
Tim does need to speak up when he's talking to me. He does. Okay, so closer and louder. Yeah, I mean, you just did one, but not the other.
Okay, okay, okay, red leather, yellow leather, I'm in it. Red leather, yellow leather. I don't know if that gets higher. It gets higher by...
I'll just slouch down. There we go. We're good. Make sure the bass points the same way the microphone does or it'll weight itself over.
Yeah, it's fine where it is. It's fine. I was like, isn't that what it is? Yeah, yeah, but I saw you fiddling and I didn't want you to, you know, turn it and all of a sudden the whole thing just crashes to the floor.
Yeah, yeah, my brother Phil hasn't really showed me a whole lot with it. Yeah. Well, he wants you to do bad. Neither did the production team.
The production team didn't give you the setup. You know, I figured he was smart enough to figure it out. And I offered today and he's like, "No, no, I'm too busy. " Well, now he's...
Well, that was also, like, only an hour ago. " I was like, okay, I'll text tomorrow, make sure that noon's okay, or whatever, and I was like, I had 11, and I was like, okay, is noon good? Because I hadn't heard, and he was like, yeah, you can even come in at 11:30. I was like, well, it's a little too short now, I can't be in now.
So what you're saying is, he should have prepped you prior to that, and said, hey, why don't you come in early, and I'll show you how to build it. Yeah, but you know. That's what you're saying? Yeah, it should have happened.
I mean, he's not wrong on that statement. Well, if he needed help, everybody knows I'm here between seven and eight every day. Well, hey. Well, hey.
- You have an open invitation, Mr. McGovey. - That doesn't solve the problem. - Thank you.
- Here's the thought. Are you here, are you coming in tomorrow, or are you working, or is it sick? - Yes, I, oh, coming in tomorrow for the pod. - Tim, Tim doesn't work here.
Oh, on the show. - Yeah. - I have to see, I have to ask him. - Okay.
- Yeah. I'll shoot a message to him after this and find out. - Does he work, does Ziggy work tomorrow night? - I think so.
- Oh, actually, I don't think so. No, I don't think so. - Okay, yeah. All right, so, got to cover a lot of things here.
Yeah. " Got it. Yeah, yeah. Wouldn't all that make sense?
Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. I wasn't sure if, what's his name, Siggy, is working tomorrow. Yeah, so figure that out, all right, we have bestowed this authority upon you to figure it out, and then at that point, now you're not just saying, - We'll just come in whenever.
'Cause if you say come in whenever to a guy like Tim, he's never gonna come in. - Never gonna come in, right. - You gotta say, hey, come in here, and we'll do it at this specific time, and we'll sort it out, you know? - Got it.
- Make sense? - Heard. - Okay. - What time are we doing this show tomorrow?
- I think that we're consistently aiming at noon. - Okay. - Like, that's the go-ahead, so there's less pressure on them. - Okay, well, no, no, that's fine, but then I don't want him to show up at one o'clock And it's already built.
Or actually, it's been taken back down, I guess, by that point, possibly. No. We'll aim for noon. Right.
So if you could come in any time before noon, if that works for you. Okay. With your scheduling. All right.
So again, that's not enough intel. It's not specific. Right. So.
11? 11, 11:30. Come in 30 minutes before the show, and I will show you how to set this up. And I will wait.
Something like that. We'll figure this out. If not, he's just gonna show up. And you're gonna say, I already did it already, don't worry about it.
Well, if he's not here by 11:30 I have to start. At that point, yeah. Well, now we've kind of determined that you're gonna build at 11:30. So, if you're coming in tomorrow, this is why I make all the money.
Which we will find out at the end of the show. It's like managing children. It is like managing children. It's like that everywhere.
It's like that everywhere. So tomorrow, if Siggy is not coming in, 11:30, do the build-out with him, OK? Got it. OK.
Perfect. Thank you very much. If he's coming in. So we have to see if he's coming in.
It has been bestowed upon him. Yes, yes, I understand. Let's review. I understand, but we're going to do that after the show today.
I don't want to just get up and leave, and then we don't know about tomorrow. That is confirmed, it is on video, and we have audio stating that as soon as this is done, today, he is going to contact Siggy in the M&M Productions group and confirm if he is coming in or if Siggy is coming in. It's officially canon in the Hustler universe. What?
It's canon. Like it's canon? What's that mean? You know, like it's canon.
No, I know. He's been saying that like we know what it means. So it means like it's true, it's true to the story, if that makes sense. It's true to the story?
Yeah, the Hustler universe is this place, right? Yeah. And so it's canon in the Hustler universe, you heard it here first, that this is gonna happen. It's canon, Palmer.
It's canon. Apparently it's canon. It's canon. You kids and your lingo.
We got the young vibes going on. Right. It's good aura. All right.
Or some shit. Yeah, you like that? I like that, yeah. When is the October mask showing up?
You mentioned it was on its way. It is on its way. That's all we know, okay. That's all we know.
All right. I have a question. You get one question. Yeah.
Palmer, your camera is tilted quite a bit. Is that OK? If you look at the screen, apparently it's not. OK.
On mine, it looks pretty heavily tilted. See, I mentioned that on the other show today. You mean crooked? Yeah.
Like your left, Palmer, the right camera should be up a little. Yeah, it tilts this way. Yeah, you look at it this way. - But it could just be the teleprompter.
But if he says on his screen, because on that screen it doesn't look crooked. - It does look a little crooked. - Does it? - Yeah.
- What if I see? - Yeah, I don't know if it's enough that it's like a big deal or not. - It's fine. - Okay.
- I mean, realistically, I think that the shot needs to come over a little bit moving forward, like the shot that I had. Like, kinda like that, you know? - Well, you want me to slide a little more to the left? - And pointing, yeah, a little more dead-on to me.
It's a fine-tuned operation. That looks bad. Look at that. That looks good.
See, now you can get aware of it a little bit crooked. All right. Oh, that's lovely. Looking spicy.
Whatever. Yeah. I love this. Just need to know where, where you want it to be.
This has been 18 minutes of... Yeah. Right. Not nitpicking.
Show fodder. You do look a little dork now. Of cannon fodder or show fodder or whatever. The fire of the cannons of the aura.
The fire of the cannons at the, when you see the whites of their eyes. Canonical. Canonical. Did you, did you finish?
I think so. Did he finish? If you want to hear your comment, write a line on this show, simply comment below on this YouTube episode, ask us any question you want, we'll be happy to answer, maybe, and/or comment on the CH Pod Lounge for me to highlight the fact that you commented on the CH Pod Lounge, which makes me happy, unlike this episode. -It does not make me happy.
-Well, to be fair, you started out not happy. -I did start out not happy. -Yes. -It's hard to come back from that, probably.
-Quickly. It is quickly for him, hard to come back. -Yeah, and plus I didn't get to explode. -Right, so there's that unfired...
-That's still building. -That's canonical reduction. -He has not fired the cannon. -Oh.
-Yeah. -The cannon's been fired. -It's a canonical misfire. -Canonical, wow, this is cannon?
That's a misfire? -Yeah. It's a misfire. Uh huh.
Okay. That's hardcore. All right, on with the news. We ready for the news?
I think so. All right, you guys here on September 30th, the Fly Dubai Flight FZ-1073. Did you hear about the problem? I did.
What happened? Okay, he did not. Fly Dubai Flight FZ-1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted after the co-pilot attacked the captain inside the cabin. Did the co-pilot say, I need the cabin five minutes and kick the other guy out?
No, I yelled like, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, or whatever they yelled, and started stabbing the captain. Oh, really? Yes. So the captain fought him off and was able to make it to the door.
Fly Dubai pilots areas, whatever that's called, what do they call it? Where are the pilots at? Flight deck? We'll go with that.
Okay, flight deck. Their door is different than our door. Their door is more secured because of the part of the world. - Because the whole...
- I think that's just every plane, no? - The whole... - No, no, it was reported by Reuters that it's not like our door and our flight decks, you just have to unlock it, there's a little bit more involved, I guess, in this one. - Yeah.
- So, as the pilot is bleeding out and fighting this guy off with one hand, and the guy's stabbing him, he opens the door as the co-pilot goes, tilts the plane down. - Oh, jeez. - Yeah, so they heard the commotion, the passengers had ran for the door, three of them go in, And a guy grabs the co-pilot around the neck, puts him in a chokehold, and pulls him off the, uh, the, uh, the, whatever, the... Captain?
The steering wheel. Oh, the steering wheel? The whatever it is called. Okay.
Right. Gets the guy out of the chair, sits down in the chair, now the other two have come in and they have subdued the co-pilot, and one of the guys happens to be a doctor, so he's tending to the pilot that's bleeding out there in the pile of blood on the floor. And the guy pulls the plane back up to its level. Wow.
And then in the back, apparently there were two more pilots from that airline, went in and they diverted the plane and landed it, but the guy that got the guy out of the seat was a plumber from, I don't know, Tel Aviv or whatever it is, not part of the world, something like, and he said he knew how to do it because he likes to watch plane TV shows about accidents and things. Oh, really? So that's how he knew, that's how he went to pull it up. Is that your wife?
Mm-hmm. Oh, of course it is. Hello? Bye.
Love you. The sudden plunge flight tracking data showed that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 dropped from 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet. Okay. That's a big drop.
That's half. In minutes. So the plumber subdued the guy. Right.
Put him in a choke hold. And then handled the plane. And then handled the plane until the pilot's way in the back, who had no idea apparently what was going on, could come up and land the plane. That's incredible.
Incredible. Right. Wow. So the plumber is the hero of the story, obviously.
Yeah. Yeah. He, uh, unplugs large sewage drains and things that plug up with... Oh, poop?
I was gonna say sewage, but yeah, it's with poop. Do you guys think you could land a plane? Like, needed? Or at least pilot it until the captain comes back?
Yeah, I think, uh, to some point. Well, you have some familiarity with that, because you've been on a plane, like, in the, whatever. Yeah, yeah. And, well, are you referring to my friend with his own plane?
Yeah. Yeah, and as we fly, he teaches me things. Right. You know, in case of emergency or just because there's nothing else to do up there.
Right. Yeah. I'd be out there like, flick, flick, flick, flick, flick, flick, flick, flick, flick. Like, why are you switching the switches?
There's no reason. No reason. What are you doing? We never flip the switches.
I don't know. You know. Because I think there's a crazy statistic that apparently like 70% of men think they could think they could do it. Yeah, there is something like that.
I believe that because realistically I'm ignorantly confident enough to say that I'll figure it out. I've done this in a video game. I could do this. No, I wouldn't, that wouldn't be my, that wouldn't be my perspective on it.
It would be like, pretty much like anything else that I have in life. Like I'm out of my depth here, but I feel like I can, you know, I can get us down. You know, everybody knows there's that little horizon thing, just make sure it's level, and, you know, make sure the thing's not spinning down, make sure it's going up. Let me look at this, let me look at that, you know.
I feel like if you're facing death, it's like, well, I might as well try. And if I have Wi-Fi and I got Claude, forget it. Oh, yeah, no Wi-Fi. Claude, tell me quick, how do I land this plane?
Here's the dashboard, like, what do I gotta do to bring this thing down safely? They need to, the autopilot needs to be a big obvious button, or a switch, or a lever, or something. Yeah. And I don't even think it's in the same place in every plane because sometimes you see it's in the middle, sometimes up at the top, sometimes off to the side.
She texts you instead. Hey, Claude, hypothetically, if I'm on a 747 plane and two pilots are out cold and I need to land this thing, could you guide me through it and tell me some of the basic steps? Would you like me to ask Chad GPT? Yes, the most important thing, you wouldn't fly it alone.
Air traffic control would talk you down step by step, And a 747 can largely land itself, the basics. Secure the pilots. Get them out of the seats, if you can. Cabin crew can help.
Number two, don't touch the controls yet. The autopilot is almost certainly on and flying the plane. Look for AP or A/P lit on the glare shield panel above the main instruments. Leave it alone.
Three, get on the radio, press the push to talk switch on the yoke, or use the headset and say, Mayday, Mayday, your flight number, it's on your boarding pass or the panel, and both pilots incapacitated. 5. I mean, there's a list here of what you can do. Realistically, step three is the whole game.
If you get on the radio and follow instructions, call me, you have a decent shot. That's crazy. Yeah, the plane does all the work you know from what I understand. The bigger plane.
I mean, most of them, yeah. Yeah. I would assume so. The guy liked to watch a series called Mayday, also known as Air Crash Investigation.
There you go. Right, so that's how he knew what to do. Between clogging and unclogging, between redoing the pipes. Right.
You know what? I bet you this, Zane Plummer, I'm willing to bet, has had a notorious problem with a princess and a big turtle with spikes. Spikes. Oh, maybe.
He probably has a brother. Right. Skinny. Little skinny guy.
Yeah, you know what I mean? Only comes around if somebody else is needed, you know what I mean? Very stereotypical Italian accent. Yeah.
Right. Did he have a solid mustache? Matter of fact, he did, but he's Middle Eastern, so a lot of them have facial hair. Red hat?
I did not see a red hat. Middle Eastern, Italian, you know what I mean? Maybe a red turban? I don't know.
Yeah, like really tan. -I feel like we can make this work. -I think so? -I got to this.
-I got to this. -It's a no problem. -It's a no problem. Mario.
-I watch a plane videos all the time. -Luigi, come to the front of the plane. -I watch the Mayday, the Mayday. -Watch out for the mushroom, here it come.
-This is my only life left. -Wow. -Oh. -This was a, so this was a, like, there were people on the plane, like there's like-- -Oh, 170 people.
-Wow. -170 people on a plane. -That's a lot of trust to put in the plumber, I mean, to be fair, too. Well, he just choked the guy out, pulled him out of the chair and stopped the plane from crashing.
He didn't land the plane. Either way. I got news for you. We're not taking a vote.
No one's like, no, I got it. I'm gonna take care of it. I heard there's pilots back there. Can they come?
We're almost on the ground. The pilot didn't. There was a pilot also on the plane who knew nothing about this happening. Two.
There was two. Two additional fly Dubai pilots aboard the flight took over and landed safely. So the plumber was like, I got this. Before they got there, yeah.
Before they got there, yeah. He got there, yeah. That's pretty, that's good for him, man. I mean, they realized something was wrong when they found themselves flying to the back of the plane as it was pivoting.
Well, I mean, it went down in minutes, so I mean, it's not like, you know, 15 minutes, they're like, why is the plane just landing? It's so weird. It's so weird. Yeah.
That's what's going on here. That's crazy. The authorities arrested the co-pilot, obviously, when they landed. Israel officials allege an attempt to crash the aircraft, but the motive remains unconfirmed.
Yeah, I mean, that's the interesting part. That's the best part. Like, did this guy purposely get the job as a pilot to crash? Well, yeah, I mean, he was a co-pilot that apparently they're saying had ties to the terrorists.
Oh, really? Wow. I heard that on one news report, but now they're saying they don't know why. So it's not positive.
I mean, like, the other pilot could be banging his wife. I was just, that was what I was guessing when I first heard it. But, I mean, you have heard stories where pilots crash planes as a form of suicide. Right.
So, I mean, that could have been what he was doing. I mean, he had a knife on him, he stabbed the other pilot. Yeah. You guys hear about the story of the, it was a flight instructor and a student.
Yeah, we covered that story, actually. " He said, "You got this," and he jumped out. "You're doing fine. " I think I'm ready.
I think I'm out. Oh, is that what he's doing? You know, it's gonna be the perfect opportunity. She's doing really well.
It's gotta be wild to jump out of a plane. Wow. Imagine being the student, it's like, how do you, how, what do you, it's, it's like, what? Like, I think it's more shock, like, did that really just happen?
Yeah. I mean, almost to a point where you're about to land the plane, and you're like, I think there was an instructor with me. Yeah. That door's open over there, look at that.
" Happened to be three retired paramedics. - That's incredible. - Like, wait. - So, it's a skydiving plane.
- So, the skydivers were paramedics? Retired paramedics? - Yeah, right. - Not the people that crashed?
- No, no, no, no. " - You got a parachute for us? - No, they already had him, they were going skydiving. - They're already set up.
Right. So he did another circle, came back around, they jump out, and they rendered aid until the people came. The people who crashed were, like, they were okay? Two people were okay.
One guy had, I think, a back and leg injury. I mean, that's still, for a crashed plane, though? Did they all live? Yeah, everybody lived.
Wow. Yeah, you know, you always hear how people say, like, "Oh, it's very unlikely that a plane's gonna crash. " I feel like I have heard so many recent news stories of planes freaking crashing or almost crashing. Is it just me?
Like, have you noticed that? There's the one that was in South Korea. There's this one that he's talking about. Oh, you mean the big airlines.
Yeah, like the one in South Korea just like, I don't know, didn't take off and crash into a wall or something. It was bizarre. Well, it didn't really crash. I didn't get up in the air.
Well, here's what I'm gonna tell you. Do you think that you're gonna get a news cover story of every car accident with a fatality? No. No?
No. Because how many of those happen a day? Well, I'm wondering how many flight problems have happened that aren't covered too. I feel like it's only been recently that there's been so many news stories of crashed planes.
And that's just because of what tracks in what's trending. Right. I mean, they're called stories for a reason. Everybody has a camera now on them.
Everybody has cell phones. I mean, the footage you get for stuff now. Yeah. You know.
And if everybody, if they got eyes and ears watching plane crashes, then, you know, the next one's gonna pop as soon as it happens. Oh, and here's another one. I don't think that, I don't think that they're, my point is that I don't think that they're I don't think that they're escalating, I don't think that there's more of them, I think that there's always been a consistent number of them, and that number is statistically lower than the amount of flights that occur every day. True.
Have you guys ever been on a plane that had a problem? A significant problem, not like all of a sudden hits an air pocket and pfft, almost was on one, there was a plane, when I was a kid, I like really didn't want to go on it, I was like mom, I was like crying and shit, I was young, I didn't say the word, the S word just now. You kind of did. I almost did.
I said, shh. And then that was it. I think that word's okay. It's the F word that gets us in trouble.
Gotcha. Okay. Well, you know, and it looked like there was a storm outside and I was crying. And so we didn't go on the plane because like, I think they were like, we missed our first plane or something happened.
So we were like, okay, yeah, get on, you can go on this one. I just, I don't know. I was crying. I didn't want to go on it for some reason.
I don't remember why. And apparently later on in that flight, that plane did have like a bird fly into the engine. They had to make like an emergency landing. On the Potomac?
I don't know. The Hudson. I don't remember where we were. Oh, I tried.
It was the Hudson. Oh, maybe it was the plane. I don't know. I was young.
Skelly Schellenberg or whatever his name was? Yeah. Because I remember the news. It was like a fairly big deal.
But yeah, we didn't get on that plane. But everybody lived. Uh, sure. Except the bird.
Except the bird. Except the bird. Except the bird. That was the major fatality.
Okay. I think that's the only one though. Okay. What else you got?
All right. For years, Tennessee, state of Tennessee tried to put the death and execution of a woman. Okay. They screwed it up, it didn't work.
What'd she do? She had, uh, when she was 18, she killed, uh, her and a couple other girls killed a friend and tortured her. Oh, yeah. So, she's been in jail, uh, let's see how long, two, two, two, two.
Anyway, she received two doses of the phenobarbital, according to attorneys. But I have recently heard, because she has small veins, it was very painful, but it didn't kill her, just put her to sleep. She was snoring. People in the viewing room could hear her snoring.
That's crazy, wow. How long has she been on death row? 30 years? 30 years or something, yeah.
Dang, that sucks. Imagine waiting 30 years and then it's like, whoops. To fall asleep. So they took her by ambulance to the hospital.
They're not allowed to do it a third time. Apparently two is the line. Two's the limit? Two's the limit.
Her condition was not immediately disclosed. I heard she is awake now because she described what the feeling was. It sort of feels like you're on fire, she said. It burns as it goes through your vein.
Governor Bill Lee halted Tennessee's remaining scheduled execution for 2026 and ordered an independent reviewing of what went wrong. So they're like, well, this obviously doesn't work. We have to find a new way. Can we just go back to firing squad?
Uh, no. Why not? Because this state doesn't do, that state doesn't do firing squads. Yeah, because with a firing squad, there's only one person that actually has the bullet, right?
- Right. - 'Cause the rest are just blanks. - Blanks, right. - That way nobody knows who actually did it, yeah.
And they're all aimed at the head. I mean, that's probably a lot more, that might be more humane than this was, I mean. - Well, normally this works, and you just sort of go to sleep, from what I understand. She went to sleep, but she just didn't die.
- Well, they put you to sleep first, and then you go into a, like, they give you something that puts you into cardiac arrest or something. - Oh, like when they, like, for a dog. - Yeah. - They give 'em the night-night.
- I wonder what happens. How are you so messed up that you murdered somebody? Well, also not to mention, she was 18, too, so that's like right, you know, I mean, just became an adult, so I wonder what happened to the rest of the friends, you know, did they already face the death sentence, you know, did some of them get life? Uh, they're still fine, yeah, they don't mention the other two girls.
Yeah, cause like, I mean, and also being, you know, 18, making that dumb old mistake, I mean. Yeah, should have done it when you were 17. Right? That's what I'm saying.
Because then they tried as a, well, no, at that point, they would probably still try it as an adult. Yeah. She was 18 when she murdered a 19 year old Colleen Slimmer in Knoxville in 1995. She would have been Tennessee's first woman executed in 200 years.
Why does it take 30 years to execute something? I've never understood it. Why does it take so long? Like what?
I mean basically she's already got life in prison. Yeah, no shit. So they're thinking that's what's going to happen to her now because there's no rule for what they do now. They have to decide.
It's not like, do we just, now do we hang her or do we shoot her? Jump off a plane, that would be cool. I assume they would probably retry her, you know, they're like, well, they're like, well, they can retry her. Because technically that could be classified as an act of God preventing it, so I'm sure they could probably.
Do you think a good attorney gets her off at this point? Like she did die? There's no, well, she didn't though. That's the thing.
They tried to. Did it not give her brain damage or anything like that either? I mean, not according, supposedly, no. Wow, that's crazy.
She may have had it prior to. That's why she did the murder. Could have been. Yeah.
Wow. Okay. All right. The Treasury Department began mailing refunds on September 30th to more than 950,000 eligible Americans.
Okay. The payments concern Obamacare insurance costs. Do you have Obamacare? It's none of your business.
I don't. I'm not telling you. Phil, or Tim, does your family have Obamacare? Do you have Obamacare?
I have nothing currently. Probably being in the Klan, it's not advisable. You should probably go to the Affordable Care Act and apply. Well, I had something, but then I lost it, and you only have a certain amount of time to get new health insurance.
Yeah, that open window thing. They give you like one week every 18 months or something. They renews every year, I believe. Yeah, well, yeah, so mine did renew, but then the rate increased by quite a bit, and I didn't realize it was increasing quite a bit.
So I got it canceled, and then you have to get a new one within a certain amount of time, which I had filled out the information, and then I was going to choose it the next day. It turns out the next day was the cutoff. So it's their fault. Whatever.
It happens. gov, exceeded operating expenses, and were passed along to consumers through higher premiums. The refund targets eligible marketplace customers who did not receive premium tax credits or other help paying for their premiums. Ooh, wait a second.
Hold up. This might affect me. Yeah, it might affect you. Well, you'll know you automatically get a check.
It's not like you can apply for anything. Well, I do know there was a tax premium that was getting applied, but then it updated once I finally called about the information and all that, which is why it increased, because I guess I didn't update it. I don't know. But none of this information was passed to me, so that's what it is.
Worst saying ever. He looks like a raccoon with the mask, and Phil looks like a pig. I don't understand why there's a difference. Yeah, isn't that amazing?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he looks like an angry raccoon. Yeah.
Kind of looks like... He turns his head. Like a pink Batman, you know, almost. Right.
Yeah. The program covers... Like a Deadpool, almost. The program covers states using the Federal Insurance Exchange, states operating in their own marketplace and excluded.
So Florida is actually one of the states where you are, where you can get this. All right, this is a dead, okay. It's not dead if you're getting $500. Moving on.
I'm sorry, quick question, will they automatically send this to me, or do I have to go somewhere? Yes, no, no, there's nothing you have to do. That's all I needed to know. If you qualify, the check will show up.
They started mailing them yesterday. You don't qualify. Dang it. You probably don't qualify.
Raccoons don't get anything. Yeah, they said something about raccoons. Raccoons are, yeah, they just qualify. I hate a raccoon with my car once.
Because, that's why you don't qualify. Killed one of your own. Alright, on to cigar news. Maya Selva launches Timon, a value-price Honduran Puro.
Timon and Pumbaa? No, just Timon. No Pumbaa. No Pumbaa?
No Pumbaa, just Timon. Why not Pumbaa? Because it's a Hakuna. No Matata.
No Matata. No Matata. It means no? Maya, so Matata.
It doesn't mean no worries, it means no? It means no. Maya Selva Cigars has launched Timon, a new line that is designed to make Honduran cigars more accessible to everyday smokers, because, you know, they're hard to find. Is Timon the fat one or the skinny one?
Timon is the skinny one. Pumba is the pig. You can tell from the name. Pumba.
Pumba. Timon. Timon. It's not like we call the pig.
Timon is the skinny one. You were yawning. Now you've made everybody else yawning. Sorry.
The Timon blend is all Honduran and designated to showcase the country's tobacco. Through the company has not disclosed specifics about the blend of the region. We're highlighting tobacco from Honduras. We're just not telling you which tobacco.
Okay. "The line is produced at Maya Selva Cigars Factory in Donnelly. " "Press release noted that Timon offers an accessible entry point for people new to cigars of underearn smokes, while also serving as an affordable, everyday option. It's offered in three sizes, blah-di-blah-di-blah.
Pricing, but not really sane. So it's an article about nothing. Well, there's a… We made a value cigar. You know, it's Timon.
We made a value cigar. Well, how much does it cost? Meh. Eh.
Is it long filler or short filler? Eh. Meh. Meh.
Which tobacco? Eh. It's Honduran. We know it just doesn't have the Crocodylias, Shetilias.
It clearly doesn't, because that's the rarest tobacco. That's the rarest tobacco. And it's not from Honduras. It's not from Honduras.
Yeah. That's from the Amazon. It's not going to be ready in America until 2027. So, thanks for the announcement.
October 1st, you can get it in Germany. That's amazing. Yeah. Casa 1910 updates international team.
We have a portal entry. Uh-oh. Casa 1910 has made a variety of personnel changes to its international distribution team. The company has hired Rodrigo Monteverd as its new international sales director.
El Manzador. He comes to the company from outside the cigar industry. Mm-hmm, coffee. Liquor.
Farm foods. Farm foods? Fierro and Nestle chocolate. " Right.
" My name is Rodrigo Maturdo. Maturdo? I just ran it all together. You have killed my father.
Would you like a chocolate bar? Rodrigo Maturdo. S. Yay.
Okay, how do you say J-O-A with a long "N" and an "O"? Hoa? Hoa. Hoa.
Hoau. Manafort. Hoau. Who previously served as the company's ambassador for Spain, Portugal, and some other country I've never heard of before, will now be the brand ambassador for all of Europe.
Reporting directly to Montego, the other guy. In addition, the company has brought on Tobias Sageldorf. Oh my God. That's a fun name.
New German market brand ambassador. He replaces Christian Wagner. All the personnel changes were made earlier this month. What?
It's like they're like, let's get the most craziest names. I think there's been a lot of shuffles from that company. Didn't Jeremy Fondy use the word of that company? Yeah, he did.
He did. So they're just... They're just shuffling people around. They hired a guy from a chocolate bar company.
- I don't know. Get this guy in. What's he do? You ever hear of crunch bars?
- Yeah. All right. Bring him in. - He can sell the crap out of a crunch bar.
- Bring him in. - Bring him in. He'd be in charge. - Crunch bars are delicious.
- Put him in charge of that German guy and that guy from Spain. - Have him look over Wagner. - Wagner needs a lot of babysitting. Have him look at him.
- All right. Jake Wyatt Cigars releases Ember & Earth. - Ooh. - Jake Wyatt Cigar Company has released Ember & Earth, A new line designed to offer a great everyday smoking experience at an approachable price point.

The line is launching with just a single 6x54 Toro, which is made in Tablicalera Sen Geronimo in Donnelly, Honduras. Geronimo? Oh, Hondura. Yeah, that's Geronimo.
Geronimo, yeah it's Geronimo. I was almost at Geronimo. Geronimo. J.
Geronimo. Pricing set at, oh we have a price for these. How much for Ember and Earth? $9.
$10. $10. 50. Ah, that's not bad.
Cigar comes in a 50 count box. The cigars are now shipping to retailers. That's how they get you. It's a cheaper cigar, but you have to buy 50 at a time.
- Wow, Smoke This Trust Me is $8 per, buy three, get one free. - Right, you only gotta buy four. - Six, and it's a long filler. - This, you have to buy 50.
- Nice try, Jake. - God, that Smoke This Trust Me Maduro, too, is just phenomenal. - Really good. - Now it's time for the Cigar Industry's favorite game.

- $5. - Size is six and a half by 47. Wrapper is undisclosed. Binder is undisclosed.
But the filler is undisclosed. There you go, $5. Five bucks, right there. A.
in Honduras, they smoke three cigars. Oh, 89. 87. Clue number one, creamy, balanced flavors featuring cedar, toasted bread, and cashews with brown sugar sweetness.
Eighty-nine. Eighty-eight. Clue number two, excellent draw and plentiful dense smoke throughout the review. That's it?
That's it. It's all you get. Wow. Okay.
Eighty-nine, I guess. Sometimes there's not a lot of good stuff to say. Eighty-eight. Third clue, two cigars required repeated burn corrections.
Sorry. Although relatively minor, the reoccurring problems became frustrating. You just yawned. No, I didn't.
Yes, you did. No, I didn't. You've fallen asleep on the show before. Listen.
When your adrenaline spikes and you're about to kill somebody and then you wind back down off of it, you get tired. You know, when you're old and you do a lot of work, you get tired. What? What do you mean a lot of work?
Relatively minor, the reoccurring problems become frustrating and lowered the score. She just said it when you're old. -I am old. -It's only one of those statements true.
-That I'm not old? -Oh, that was it? -That was it! -Wow, I don't know.
-84. -86. -I have to take drinks 'cause he says I get cotton-mouthed into the microphone or something. -All right, final thought.
Whittington considers the 2026 release one of the better blends in Cavalier's annual limited edition series. Its creamy character restrained sweetness and balance made it enjoyable, but repeated attention to the burn prevented a higher rating. Despite those construction issues, he looks forward to smoking it again. Go 85.
86. You went the right way, but it's 88. Yeah. A little performance problem on the other one, apparently.
We're running out of the powder packs, we've got to figure out how to get more. We've got to order, probably, on Amazon. You think you get it on Amazon? Amazon is everything.
All right, that's it. Game's over. All right. Tim, do you have anything else to add?
No. You're going to be on time tomorrow if you're supposed to be here? I'll be on time tomorrow, yes. Yeah.
11:30. Phil ain't coming. No, he ain't coming. All right, well, hey.
