Episode 28 Advice from The Hustler, IPCPR 2018, Dennis Sciole

Episode Summary
Episode 28 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast is a post-show debrief from the 2018 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. Mikey recaps working booth 225 for RoMa Craft Tobac — the busiest year yet — including the booth's new locked center office, the added corner seating areas that kept traffic flowing, and a new photo wall broken into categories for the Nicaraguan factory, the Texas office, retailers and consumers. He gives shout-outs to the crew who helped run the booth, including Matt Hunt of Fratello, Michael of Sobremesa/Steve Saka's camp, Matul of Fable and Lex, and mentions Danny Vasquez's Panerai purchase and the A.J. Fernandez electrical fire that flooded several booths and pushed the show's opening back to 1 p.m.
Product talk is light but real: the new Tabernacle release was nearly impossible to get on the floor (Mikey managed to snag one from Nick Melillo), he tried Steve Saka's Sin Compromiso, and he raves about the new Xikar flat-flame lighter and the new XO cutters, including the RoMa Craft/TX-branded version. There are celebrity sightings too — Rick Ross (whose music opens the show), Karl Malone, and "Shorty" with his dog — plus dinner reviews from Bazaar Meat at the SLS, Cut at the Palazzo, and a taco spot whose photos looked better than the food.
The main segment is "Advice from the Hustler: How Not to Be a Time Suck," credited in part to conversations with Michael Rosales. The hosts define a time suck as someone who consumes your most valuable commodity — time — with no content or purpose, then break it down by role: sales reps, brand owners and manufacturers who overstay a retail visit (Mikey caps casual check-ins around 45 minutes); shop owners with slow traffic who talk at reps and customers instead of reading the room; and consumers who monopolize a shop's attention. The takeaway is to know your audience, listen instead of talking at people, and gracefully exit when a conversation isn't developing.
The episode also pays tribute to Dennis Sciole, the shop regular interviewed back on Episode 18, who passed away the morning of the recording — with a nod to 96-year-old Denny, who smokes five cigars a day and used to trade barbs with Dennis. Housekeeping includes podcast growth stats (89% of iTunes listeners subscribe, new listeners in Connecticut, Puerto Rico and Jordan), the previous giveaway winner Philip S. Moses, and a new contest for an XO wood grain cutter: leave "Happy Birthday from @acigarhustlerspodcast" on Chief Hava (Skip Martin)'s latest Instagram post for his July 25 birthday. Next episode teases an interview with cigar photographer James Lee.

What's the difference between me and you? Back when Q was rollin' with Lorenzo and Abenzo, I was bangin' with a gang of instrumentals, got the pins and pencils, got down to business, but sometimes the business ended as shit. I can turn your friends against you, but you was a real nigga, I can sense it in you, I still remember the window of the car that you went through, that's fucked up, but I'll never forget the shit we've been through, and I'ma do whatever it takes to convince you, 'cause you my nigga, Doc, and easy I'm still with you, fuck the beef, nigga, I miss you, and that's just being real with you, you see the truth is, everybody wanna know how close me and Snoop is, and who I'm still cool with, then I got these fake ass niggas I first blew with, claiming they non-violent, talking like his, spit venom in interviews, speaking on reunions, and who I'm still cool with, then I got these fake ass niggas I first blew with, claiming they non-violent, talking like his, spit venom in interviews, speaking on reunions. Move units, then talk shit, we can do this.
Until then, I ain't even speaking your name. Just keep my name out of your mouth and we can keep it the same, nigga. It ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, it's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to them, that's the difference. What's the difference between me and you?
You talk a good wine, but you don't do what you're supposed to do. I act on what I feel and never stand with emotions. I'm used to living big door stabs with straight coasters. What's the difference between me and you?
You talk a good wine, but you don't do what you're supposed to do. Oh, I'm glad it's on. Yay, what are you, who are you texting? Who are you texting?
Uh, Jenny. Jenny. Who? Jenny.
Jenny? You don't even know. Jenny on the block? Yeah.
Oh, so you know J-Lo. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we go way back. Wow. Back when she was on the block?
She's my New York, Puerto Rican connect. Oh. Mm-hmm. Excellent.
Yep. So how are you, Michael? I'm fine. How have you been?
I haven't seen you in, uh, forever. Oh, it's good to be home. Yeah, it's good. You were in Vegas.
Well, I was in Vegas. And I saw the pictures that I was in Vegas, but it was not really me. Well, we stole your badge. That's okay.
That's what happens when you don't come. It was there for the pickings. You say you're gonna come all year, then you fucking bail. Yeah, I know.
It wasn't financially in the cards at this time. That's a lie. No, it's not. Yeah, it is.
No, it's not. Oh, yes, it is. No, I just don't like you. You totally would have went.
I'm not gonna put you on blast, but it was in finances. That's all I'm going to say. All right. So how did it go?
Yeah, way to change the subject, pal. No, let's just move along. Move along. IPCPR went great, man.
Did you see the movie? Did you see the hand-rolled movie? I opted out of the movie, unfortunately. Don't turn away from the microphone.
Is this better? That's good. Don't look at your phone. How about now?
I did not partake in the movie. Really? It got mixed reviews. From everybody who I heard saw it, really liked it, and they said it was good.
I don't know who gave you the mixed reviews, but... I don't know, I saw a bunch of different people that said things about it. Oh, like people on Facebook? Yeah, but people that were at the show, though.
Yeah, but they don't count. Their criticism doesn't count. They just like to shit on people, probably. That could have been.
Could have been. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Alright. Well, we're doing...
this is our new show. So we don't do the... Hi, this is Mike. This is Mike.
This is Mike. Oh, we should totally do that. We still need to do that. Alright, ready?
One, two, three, go. Hi, I'm Mike. Hi, and I'm Mike, too. And this is...
Advice from the Cigar Hustlers. It's still a Cigar Hustlers podcast. Oh, darn it. He fucking blew it.
I hate doing that anyway. Oh, you do? Yeah, I don't know. Why?
I don't know. So, about the show? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry.
I mean, unfortunately, I don't have much to report regarding the show. I did, at the very end, get to do a small, quick tour on the last day for maybe a half hour. Checked in with a couple guys, and they got a couple good things going on, but in general, I wasn't consumed with the show, other than being consumed at booth number 225. Was this your busiest year?
Definitely our busiest year. Definitely our busiest year. I saw Danny's video of the entire booth, and I thought it looked good, I mean, compared to the year I was there. Yeah, so the booth has been modified, there's like a little cubbyhole office.
It's like an office in the middle, I thought that was nice. Which is fucking awesome. Oh, I bet. Was it just for Jamie, or did you guys actually take meetings in that little room?
Well, Jamie normally handles the appointments, but it was for Ange, and she's handling orders and stuff, and she, so that was pretty much her spot. But it was cool to have like an access point where you weren't worried about stuff, nothing was really left out. I thought it was at a locked door. Yeah, everything was super clean.
Was it a secure locked door? It was a secure locked door. That's good. It's comboed.
Was there a roof? No roof. Oh, so it was semi-secure. I mean, if you, at the end of the day, if you tried to climb into that, you'd probably collapse it.
Oh, man. You could have a miss. Yeah, you'd look like a- You'd find your body buried underneath all the walls. Exactly, you'd look like a complete ass.
For sure. What was also cool with the Roma Booth is they added this little photo section, and they had pictures of- I saw that! Yeah, it was cool, because it was done in categories. I wasn't on it.
Well, Skip's gonna hear this, so. One of the hot ticket guys was, though. Yeah, he was, he was. I pointed out to them, they were very excited.
You're not at that level yet. Just keep going, keep doing what you're doing, keep your head down, just keep grinding away. It's gonna happen. More photos.
More photos. More photos. More photos. I'm not in enough of my photos, that's what it is.
But it was broken down by category, which is really cool. And I hope I don't fuck this up. But so you had the factory in one section. Right.
You had retailers in another section. Right. You know, you kind of had like the fam, like the office and everybody in one section. The Texas people.
Right. So it was like Nicaraguan factory, Texas office. Retail, right. Retailers.
Retailers. And then I think the bottom corner was... Was consumers. Consumers.
I was going to say fans, but consumers is a better word. Yeah, so it was pretty cool, man. It was a really nicely done piece that'll be updated annually. Right.
They change it year to year. So your chance next year is, it's right, you're, you know... We could Skip to be on the show at the next picture with Skip. There you go.
You're an opportunity away. That's right. Fantastic. It's too soon now.
I have to wait till it's closer. I don't know. I mean, I think that they were all kind of, yeah, yeah, maybe. Well, there's got to be a window of printing them and getting them up, right?
That's true. That's hard. Danny got his Panerai, which is very nice. Mr.
Vasquez. Oh, I did see he went watch shopping there. That deserves an honorable mention, for sure. That's very nice.
The fire was a big deal, I guess. Oh, yeah. J. Fernandez had an electrical fire and flooded, like, four booths.
They too flooded it. Yeah, I saw that. So we had to get there at 1:00 instead of 9:00 or 10:00 or some shit. Everybody's photos that morning was either from the pool or from the bar.
Well, I'll tell you what, man, it sucked because you had appointments, you had everything kind of scheduled, and then everything got fucked up. But, you know... You can't just push them back because you have other appointments. Yeah.
Can't get one, I was going to meet you at 10, but now come in at 2, because then you get a 2 o'clock guy. So we just kind of handled it. Um, you know, Matt Hunt was there from FQ, he did a great job in the booth, um, you know, he's really easy to talk to, so you can just throw him anywhere. He's so pretty, though.
Michael from Shogui was there. He also was a tremendous help. You know, obviously Matul from Fable was there. Shout out to my boy Lex.
Lex Theory was there helping out, too. Man, we had a great team. And I gotta tell you, yes, we were probably the busiest I've ever seen, but it just kind of flowed, man. It didn't win by fast?
Yeah, sometimes the time blew by fast, but in general, it's just like, everybody was being addressed, you know, which was nice. " Right, yeah, the extra space made a big difference. I think that they may add a couple tables for next year, but in general it was pretty... Is there a table in the center of the chairs?
Well, there's a table next to the other tables. Oh, gotcha. So you've got a little bit of dead space there that you can utilize, so I think that'll go really well. I mean, I didn't smoke anything.
Nothing. It didn't seem, you know, normally there's like one cigar you see lots of pictures of. Right. It wasn't that really this year.
So, I mean, the new Tabernacle was kind of hard to come across, so that kind of limited its photo opportunities. I was gonna say, there was a lot of, I guess back to photos again, but there was a lot of pictures of Nick in his booth, but not much of that one particular cigar. Yeah, so I mean, I managed to acquire one from him. It wasn't easy, but I did acquire one, and it was pretty damn good.
And I acquired a Sin Compromiso from Sokka, and that was pretty good too. The Zeichar shit's pretty cool this year. They had like this flat flame that I didn't think I'd really like, but I fucking dig it. Oh, that's that lighter you just filmed?
Yeah. So it's a little, it's quieter. I looked at it briefly the other day. It can use a lot of fuel.
Oh yeah, it makes no noise at all. Yeah, it's really, really nice. How far up does the flame go? I don't know, I get kind of close.
I'm out of the high performance stuff right now too, so that's probably why the flame isn't perfect. But yeah, you just, you just made it worse. You had it turned up all the way. Yeah, because I don't have the high-performance stuff in the shop right now.
Yeah, but that's about right, that's how it should look. Hmm, interesting. Yeah, it's pretty cool. It's like a single flame, but flat.
The new XO cutters look badass. You know, obviously you got the Roma gear coming out soon, which, which is going to be pretty badass. You know, the XO one with the, with the TX on it, it's pretty fucking dope. Cool.
So yeah, the Zeichar stuff was pretty cool. Got to meet Rick Ross, which was a big deal. I saw that. He made the rounds.
Kind of a big deal. There's a couple of other sports guys running around. Yeah, Karl Malone. Yeah, Karl Malone, that was it.
And the guy with the dog? Shorty. Shorty. He's there every year.
Oh, is he? Yeah, every year. I think he has a shop now, too. Rick Ross had quite the entourage, it looked like.
Yeah, I mean, he was bullshitting with Skip a little bit, so I got to sneak in a photo at the last minute. matt hunt was clutch on that by the way just yeah because he got a picture with him too yeah he's he kind of initiated i'm like well fuck it if matt's doing i'm doing it too and then i went to go thank rick for the fucking for intro music yeah no for the photo and like you know just stopping off for a quick second and like as he's leaving i'm tapping his arm he just keeps ignoring me i want to give him a couple cigars just to show appreciation and i tapped him and he kept going i tapped him again i'm like hey man you know and then so like the third time i tell him like hey and then it's one of his fucking cronies swung around he's like hey what's up man i'm like dude i just want to say thank you here you know and he's like you're okay thanks man okay whatever so that happened which is pretty funny um you know other than that that you know the dinners were fantastic we ate at bizarre meats which was fucking bar none skip doesn't eat without a photo so you see all those yeah but then like you know now to see what he wants so like the photos of bizarre are justifiable they're pretty badass right but like we stopped off at a place called tacos and beer and the tacos were good you know they weren't bad but his photos looked a hundred times better than the food i'm like this is not this does not look like what we ate so um yeah and then uh you No, we did like Cut in the Venetian, which was badass, or in the Palazzo, whatever, those are kind of the places that really stand out for me at this current juncture, but yeah Bizarre Meats in the SLS is quite the experience, quite the experience, quite a few people ate there, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's, yeah, take a drink of your coffee, so yeah, who won the last the giveaway Philip S. Moses and he's already been contacted I understand his prize is delivered his gift certificate is on its way excellent so we have another contest today and you already posted what the prize was the new XO wood grain Yes. How should we give that away?
Well, we'll mention that at the end of the show. Oh, because, no, wait, we have a Facebook group now that we have not talked about. Right, well, I got an idea for this one. Oh, do you?
I do. Okay. I do. It's date-sensitive, so.
The page does not get much play at all. Okay, well, we'll start working on that. I figured we'll do a group. Just got to plant the seed and let it grow, baby.
It takes time. All right. So, yeah. uh do you want to talk about our our loss real quick sure i mean if you want to fucking go there let's just do that just get that get that done all right uh back on episode 18 we interviewed dennis uh and dennis is no longer with us yeah he passed today this morning so if you didn't get chance to listen to that go back and let's do it he gives out a uh a plethora of knowledge from his many many years on this planet yeah he was he's a good guy man he was he was a very nice man he's That's like the only regular I liked.
Now I got to deal with everybody else. Maybe we can find a new one. Denny. Denny's still around.
I didn't want to tell Denny. No. Like you said, he might have taken it hard. Yeah.
So Denny is 96 years old. He smokes five cigars a day. And he would rap back and forth with Dennis. And Dennis, I think, was only like 74.
Yeah, he was in his 70s. So you're right. So Denny is like... 21 years older than him.
He's older than him, so like, telling him that, I don't think that that was the right thing to do. Denny's fun because he has a hard time hearing it. He can't hear shit, yeah. So when he comes in, he's like, "Denny!
Hi, Denny! " Right, and he still can't hear you. He still can't hear you at all. He can't hear shit.
Um, yeah, so, I guess, rest in peace, my buddy. Yes. You know. Womp womp.
Womp womp. Um, what else you got before we get into the meat and potatoes? We can do a quick update on the show. Yes!
We've got two new followers in the last two days. Last week, no, we didn't do a show last week, because you were busy, and we just didn't have time before you left. This is an accomplishment that you're very proud of. Yes, yes, because we pulled the same numbers last week as we would on a week when we put out a regular show.
Which is fantastic. So that's great. Showing some nice, steady growth. That's right, and we have one listener in Connecticut now, so hello, whoever you are in Connecticut.
Ooh, that might be Lex. Oh, is he from Connecticut? He is. Oh, and we have one listener in Puerto Rico.
Very nice. So, yes. Not another country, but I'll take it. Right.
It's kind of like another country. No, it's a sovereign thing or something. Still in order of how many people we have. It's USA, then the UK, Canada, and we're still big in Jordan.
But it's 26 downloads in Jordan, so I feel it's like one guy. Well, you know, hey, God bless you, the man in Jordan. That's right. and a woman in Jordan.
Wherever you are, hello. Thank you very much. Did Djibouti fall off? No, nobody else.
Whoever listened in Djibouti, they couldn't understand the language is what happened. This doesn't even make sense. They're not saying hello to me in any language I talk about. Right.
If that's how they sound in Djibouti. I don't know. But iTunes, we're up 89% of the people that listen, subscribe. Excellent.
So that only leaves 11% of the people that listen that don't come back to the show. 11%? But that's And it's up from 22. Hey.
Oh, the ones that are down from 22. Hey, making progress. Making progress. We're getting there.
I like it. So if you're on iTunes, please subscribe. So we'll sneak in the giveaway sometime in the show. It might not be at the very end, but we'll slide it in.
Gotcha. All right. All right. So we're going to do advice from the hustlers?
Yes. Yes. So this is definitely it. That's quite a bit of notes you have there.
Yeah. Oh, I got some notes. It looks like a lot, but it won't take long. You know, this is, so in our conversations in the Rosales and Michael Szczeponkiewicz conversations and adventures, this is one of the things that we have talked about, so I got to credit him for How Not To Be A Time Suck?
Yes, How Not To Be A Time Suck. So, I mean, I guess we should start with a simple definition of what a time suck is. Oh, good idea. Because I don't think a lot of people know what it is.
A time suck is a person that literally sucks up your time. For no good reason. Yeah, for absolutely fucking dead air, no content, just really trying to pass the buck. If anybody's heard that that was not me breathing, that's that lighter.
And you should just use the single flame, the flat flame. And you know, a time suck is just a fucking god-awful thing. Now, you can be a time suck, right? Me personally or just in general?
Anybody. Oh, because you're looking right at me. As well as, well, who else am I going to look at? Your number one fan who's always in here sitting in on your live episode.
And you can identify time sucks, but it's, you know, it's kind of important to see these things so that you don't lose your most precious commodity, which is time. Which is time. Time. Right?
So... Stop turning away from the microphone. I'm looking at my notes. Hold on.
I'm looking at my notes. Turn your notes on the other side of the microphone. Who can be a time suck? We already kind of said anybody can be a time suck.
But how does it correspond in the cigar industry is kind of what's important. And it can literally be anybody. Right? Right.
My first example is kind of like a sales rep, brand owner, or a manufacturer, right, so I'm on the road now at least once a month with Michael, sometimes with Michael, sometimes by myself, and it's really easy to get caught up in conversation, but you've really got to know your audience, right? " Monopolize their, like let's say, your time. Right, just, you know, the nothingness questions that can derive. I mean, you know, you gotta know what's going on.
So this particular situation is when you're at the shop? Yeah, so like if I go in and I'm hanging out, I try not to hang out more than 45 minutes if it's just like a check-in, right, because there's a lot of shit going on for good retailers, so you don't want to fucking consume the majority of the time but you want to show them that you appreciate them, so you have to have a conscious effort of not being a time suck, so you go in, you hang out, you shoot the shit, you meet the regulars, And if a conversation isn't really developing, if the person is really busy, if you got nothing to report, nothing to talk about, you got to get the fuck out of there. If not, you just become the inconsiderate asshole that's sucking up my time. So it's important to know your audience and kind of when to call it.
Now, on the other side, a shop owner can definitely become a And those times suck. Right? Oh, of the other people that we were just referencing? Well, whether it be, I mean, whether it's a sales rep, a brand owner manufacturer, even a consumer.
You know, like, there are times when consumers come in and they don't want to be bothered. They want to smoke their cigar, maybe they have some work to do. Play with their phone. Yeah, whatever.
You know, they don't want to be engaged, they want to be left alone. So again, it's important that you identify those people and you kind of know that audience, right? Let me see here, doo-doo-doo, I mean, there are some shop owners that don't have a lot of traffic in their shop, right? They don't have… So they probably look forward to a rep, a brand or something, just because it's somebody to talk to.
Right, but they could become the time sucker. Right, I understand, right. So, or they could totally, they could run off their own customers, right? Right.
Which you don't want to do either. Right. Generally speaking, it's, you know, your retired guy who wanted, needs something to do, so they love cigars, they open up a smoke shop. And here they are, and you walk in, and they don't really give a fuck about what you have to say, but they're gonna tell you everything that they have to say, right?
Gotcha, I'm following you. So, like, I mean, you'll get a person's entire life story, and maybe the majority of that's insignificant, right? But they do, but they're proud of it. You're there to sell something, so that could be a, yeah.
Right, that's a problem. And you're stuck. I mean, you can't just go, you're boring the hell out of me. I'm just kidding.
I'm just kidding. You're a Right. Because he's not going to buy anything from you. Especially as a consumer.
If you just lit up the cigar, you're like, fuck, I just want to be left alone. However, you might not come back. Right? That's true.
That's what it would be, yeah. Like me, I wouldn't be rude and go, look, dude, I just want to sit here. Right. I just wouldn't go in again.
Right. And then the third one is definitely just your standard consumer. Your consumer can definitely become a time suck too. Yeah, but you're kind of stuck there.
If it's your shop, and somebody comes in, and they want to chit-chat, no matter what you're doing, you have to chit-chat. Or they might not come back. I don't entirely agree with that. Well, there's a gentleman in the shop today that's driving everybody crazy, because he has nothing to do.
And he is definitely a time suck. " Because he keeps buying beer, and he keeps buying cigarettes. No, you're right. But in that scenario, a guy has no good content to bring to the conversation.
And he is not, I mean, sure, he's beneficial to the shop, but he's not really helping, nobody's really enjoying him being there, right? So, what you gotta do is, you gotta just block that motherfucker out and keep going and doing what you're doing. Well, that's one of the reasons I didn't move to the table. Like, the casual engagement of like, uh-huh, yep, right, uh-huh.
" Right, the short answer. Right, you just keep it simple, go back to your priorities, and not fucking bother with that guy, right? Um, that's kind of how you deal with a consumer that's a consumer time suck. A CSS.
Right. Oh, we have a new code now. We got a, wait, C, CTS. Consumer, consumer?
A CTS. Oh, CTS, that's right. CTS, that's right. We've got a CTS here, standard CTS.
Standard CTS, over in chair number three. So, you know, again, I've mentioned this before, but it really is important to kind of know your audience, no matter what the scenario is. For one, talking at somebody is going to get you nowhere, right? You've got to have the ability to listen and pay attention.
I'm sorry, I wasn't listening to what? Right, and pay attention to the person, whatever they're doing. And, you know, from a sales rep standpoint, if shit's not gelling, you've got to get the fuck out, right? Or from a brand or manufacturer standpoint, if it's not clicking, hey man, thank you very much, I appreciate your support, appreciate your time, we'll keep in touch, gone.
So that's kind of what I got as far as the advice from a time suck, don't be a time suck. Don't be a time suck. So take the advice of the cigar hustler, don't be a time suck. I forgot to say the little tagline.
Oh, is that, is that, that's a thing now? That's a thing at the end. Okay. Do you have questions regarding TimeSucks?
Uh, not that I did not ask as we were going along. Yeah. Yes. Okay.
What are you smoking? Uh, I am smoking an Intemperance Whiskey Rebellion this afternoon. Ooh. Thanks for keeping it honest, Mike.
Thanks for keeping it honest. You're welcome. You're welcome. Well, I'm having a Guaymar O'Corona.
Oh, very nice. It's one of my favorite cigars. Yes. Um.
Oh yeah, wait, we've got to do the giveaway. Well yeah, you said it was time sensitive and you were going to mention it when you had to mention it. Yes, so here's the giveaway. Because we're at 23 minutes.
Perfect. So we're doing good. This works out well. Yes.
So, this show will be airing on the 24th of July. Tomorrow. And on the 25th of July, it's going to be my dear friend at Chief Hava, Mr. Skip Martin's birthday.
Oh, it is? Yes. Yes. So, here's what I propose.
I've done this in the past, but I usually do it on my Instagram page. We can do it on our Instagram page. This time we'll do it on the podcast, and if you want to do it on the Instagram page too, that's fine, absolutely. But I want you to go to @Chiefhava on his Instagram and write, "Happy Birthday" from @CigarHustler.
At a Cigar Hustlers podcast? You know what? It should be At A Cigar Hustlers Podcast. Yes, it should.
So, this is going to go to Chief Hava's IG page. Right, and his most recent photo. Only do it once. Don't be fucking stupid.
Just do it the one time. It counts once. Counts once. One time.
Happy birthday from At A Cigar Hustlers Podcast. Boom. And you'll be answered to win. And we'll announce the winner next week.
Perfect. And then maybe you'll get four people to do it. Probably more than that, because this is a little easier. I mean, I like, uh, I mean, when I do it on, on Instagram, it can get insane.
Yeah, you did it to, uh, some football player last year. I harassed Ochocinco, which is pretty funny. Yeah, that's what it was. It wasn't for his birthday, though.
Um, I think I did it to Rosales back in the day, too, but, you know, it's nice. Oh, I like this, I like this kind of dude. We should, like, pick a different person each week and do this. And do a birthday thing?
Uh, or... But I like, like, four people in the industry. Wow. When's Jack Taranio's birthday?
I like that guy. Oh, I like Jack too. I don't know. We'll have to find out.
What we can do is we can get some Jack Taranio swag, and then -- I have a Jack Taranio shirt on today. And then you can just give it away for his birthday. For his birthday. That'd be pretty fucking amazing.
That would be funny. Oh, you know what did happen at the show, it was pretty funny, was the Caldwell toilet paper, the Tierra Volcan guys, the Mombacho guys. Oh, did they really? Yeah.
Which is pretty funny. And then they put up like a GoFundMe account. I don't know, it was to get him back to Canada or some shit, like I don't remember what it was for, but it was pretty funny. Oh.
And, uh, that's pretty much what I got. Alright, uh, then this, uh, this would be episode 20. You know, I like doing it the day before. Yeah?
It's... I feel the pressure. Yeah, you do. I'm like, uh, let's get into it.
Oh, well, we gotta, you know, we're definitely... We're gonna go back to, uh, to an interview, I think, next week. Alright. I have one to set up.
Yay! Yay! Cigar porn guy? Uh, yeah, actually.
We'll talk about what day you're available, because I'm available every day next week as my wife's gone. Is that the guy? Yeah, James Lee. Sweet!
All right, cool. I've heard really good things about him. He's a very nice man. He's a friend of mine.
You know. We go way back. We go way back. We're pals.
We're pals. I'm on his Instagram twice. The name's so nice, it was named twice. Named twice.
Very nice. All right, well that's episode 28. All right. See everybody for the same.
Later. That's it, folks. Show's over. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, you can leave them on our Facebook page at Cigar Hustlers Podcast.
