Episode 99 Pete Stops in Again! Taste Like Manure? Bang Sends us Some Presents!

Episode Summary
Episode 99 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast is a loose, unplanned pre-show for the milestone 100th episode, made possible when Florida sales rep Pete Hernandez ("of all the reps in the state of Florida, he's one of them") randomly stops by the shop mid-recording. The episode opens with the hosts cheerfully raiding Pete's traveling humidor, where they dig out the HVC 500 and Aladino Maduro and Corojo Reserva, with nods to the HVC Black Friday release and an LFD gifted by Leo. It's a fun window into the retailer/rep relationship and the etiquette (or lack thereof) of walking a rep out to his car to plunder the cooler in the trunk.
The conversation moves through industry business: the looming March 2020 FDA deadline and hopes for another postponement; the hosts' frustration with TPE after the show's contact list was apparently sold to third parties flooding them with spam emails and hotel-scam calls; and a commitment that PCA/IPCPR still matters most, including plans for a show-only limited edition. There's also local Tampa cigar history — the 109-year-old Fuente y Alvarez (Pendás y Alvarez) cigar factory with its iconic clock tower listed at $4.5 million after selling for $3.3 million earlier in the year.
The cigar-review centerpiece is Charlie Minato's 92-point halfwheel review of RoMa Craft's Neanderthal LH, which sparks a discussion of odd tasting notes — including "manure," cranberry, bell pepper skin, and sweet orange sauce — and how the hosts read reviews (scroll to the number, then check who wrote it). Mike names the Neanderthal his favorite cigar of the year. Other segments include a December-babies trivia bit for Pete's expecting wife Brittany, Cigar Aficionado's new "Five Questions" feature (with Nick Melillo, Jorge Padrón, Pete Johnson, Heinrich Villiger and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo), a genuinely gross tangent about customers destroying retail bathrooms, the new "Mucho Weasel" shirt and sampler pack, Listener of the Week (Mr. Josh, @jaypar530), Shop of the Week (Paradise Cigars in Rockledge, FL celebrating nine years), mystery anonymous Amazon gifts, and a care package of shirts from Bang Energy congratulating the show on 100 episodes.

Welcome to episode 99 of a Cigar Hustlers Podcast. This week, Pete stomps in, what do you mean it tastes like manure, and then bang sends us some presents. All this and more this week on the pre-show for the 100th episode on a Cigar Hustlers Podcast. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike squared, squared, squared.
Oh, so people are watching? No, no, it's not live. He's still got to fix his mic. Where do I think that is?
You see how it's, there you go. Yeah. Oh, there we go. Look at that love voice.
Welcome to episode 99 of Cigar Hustlers Podcast. You know, I didn't change that from, so actually the Patreon was 15, not 14. Oh, really? I'm gonna mess with that, by the way.
Oh, great. That's nice. I'm gonna put a pie symbol up. We're joined today by the lovely Pete Hernandez.
Yes. Our friend, Peter. Mr. Pete Hernandez.
All the reps in the state of Florida? He's one of 'em. See, this is one of the great reasons why I love this podcast so much is because, like, Pete just randomly stopped in. " How fortunate, right?
This worked out great for you. That's it. Here you are. Absolutely.
You were so gracious to leave your humidor in front of me. Of course. Oh! And I'm going to rape it.
Let's go through it. That's all we got in there. You can't open it. Do you need help opening it?
A professional weasel. There we go. Mucho weasel. Mucho weasel, which we'll get to later.
What do we got? Some Aladinos. Some Aladinos. Oh, nice.
I gotta see the options here. A couple silver mesas. Oh. Right.
There's a couple things that guys have given me in my travels. All right. I won't pull those out. Great.
I'm not gonna smoke 'em, but they give 'em to me, so I, you know. Me neither. Right. We'll smoke that one.
Well, I'm not proud, I will. You know what, I haven't had this cigar. That's really good. Really good, he's done a great job with that cigar.
He's such a nice guy. Well, what was it? Say what it is. It's the HVC 500.
500. Fantastic. He did a great job with that, really good. We reviewed the Black Fridays on our Patreon show a couple weeks ago.
You know, I haven't had that. How was it? Really good. Fantastic, right?
Especially for the price. There was only 400 boxes, I think. I would smoke the LFD that's in here, just for the record. I'm not going to mention the other ones though.
Yeah, I think Leo gave me that. Yeah, I would believe that. That sounds logical. So what'd you take?
I'm smoking the 500. I haven't had it yet. This is a really good cigar. This Aladino?
Yeah, and the Maduro. You want me to hand you the box? No, just pick one for me. Just pick one.
I would totally go with this. Or have you had a Corojo Reserva? I just dropped a cigar. Have you had this?
I've had that one. I don't think I've had the other one. The Maduro is nice. I'll take a book.
They're small. Yeah, you deserve it. Yeah, you do. What a guy.
See? A professional weasel takes care of his friends, too. Right. Would you like a cigar?
I'd love a cigar. Yeah. Let me open this up for you. Get the LFT from Leo.
My friend Leo. Yeah, I'll have the Aladino Maduro. Okay. Yeah.
It's a great idea. Great cigar. That's a great smoke. I really enjoy it.
I'll typically smoke the Maduro. Is there another 500 in here? I think there's another 500. I think there is.
Is there another 500? Okay, here, trade me. Trade you that one. All right, done.
Give me that one. Okay, here we go. All right. I like the way you guys negotiate.
See, now this is how it's done, just for the record. I'm torn between this one and the 500. So now you know when it comes to raping and pillaging. Excuse us, why we all just light our cigars.
Do you need a cutter? I do. You need to destroy a friend's humidor, someone who comes inside. That's all right.
There's a cooler outside. Pull the cigars in case, you know. Oh, yeah, I know. Light upon yourselves.
He always goes through the car. I'll be walking you out. I'll be walking you out. I don't think you've walked through the car by yourself ever.
Ever. Where are you going? Oh, you're going out. Or at somebody's house.
He's not allowed to when he's at your house. Hey, what's his cooler? It's so weird. There's a couple of reps where he refuses to go through the in-store box.
Yeah, I don't want that one. I don't want the car. I know you got the other ones in the car. Now, I mean, I know that you went through your humidor prior to, and you're like, maybe not this one, maybe that one.
Not here. Not here. Stop it. Not here, pal.
This is too good for those guys. Like I said, I know you're going to walk me out of the car anyway. So let's come up. So look under the seats in the glove box.
It's true. The wheel wells. Yeah. So hey, welcome back to the show.
Thank you. We've missed you. Good to be here. It's great to have you.
We got very good ratings last time you were here. Really? People liked it? You want to know what it is?
People like you. You're just honest. What you see is what you get. Right.
And you're kind of straightforward. So you're good for it and you're entertaining. Wow. Look at that.
He said a lot of good things about you right there. His voice is very good, too. Thank you. Thank you.
I hope you guys like my voice. If you want me to counter back, I mean, you're not the best sales rep. Thanks. I appreciate that.
Are we on air? Are we recording that? Are we recording that? Do you record that?
Do you need a lighter, too? I'm good. I got a lighter. Yeah, I've got a beautiful Lotus lighter.
This episode brought to you by Lotus. Right. Lotus, lighters, and colors. He's out peddling the Lotus.
Would they like to sponsor Listener of the Week this year? For what? Swag? Sure, why not?
I'm cheap. No, Michael, no. Know your value. Hold.
You need to hold the line. Oh, this is lovely. I'm very excited about this cigar. I don't know why I haven't smoked it yet.
Just haven't... Do you have it in there? Yeah, I haven't gotten around to it, right? Yeah, it just hasn't happened.
So many cigars, so little time. Yeah, I smoked a bunch of them, they're fantastic. Kind of a busy guy, I don't know. Nah, it's all the working out.
Yeah, right. When they allow you to smoke at the gym, then you'll start getting through some cigars. According to Greg, he does all the heavy lifting. I'll be like, here, hold this, I gotta do a set.
You need an ashtray right next to them. Hold my beer. I'll just come and I'll hold a drink and a cigar for you, make it as you work out. That'd be perfect.
He's my spotter. I don't need a spotter. I don't think you really need a spotter at the gym. That's a lot of water at the gym.
That was just an excuse for me to be there. Unless you like power lifting or some shit. I don't know. Well, you know, it all depends on how hard you go.
I go pretty hard. Do you? I mean, do you go, how many reps? I mean, are you taking it to?
Right now I'm doing high reps. Oh, so you might need a spot, well, you know, probably low weight, right? Kind of. Yeah.
For some people. Oh. Oh. You know.
For normal human beings. Huh? Mortals might consider it. I had a guy come up to me, he's like, oh, damn dude, that's a lot of weight.
That's a lot of weight. I was like, that's where my light sets. Wow. He's like, get the fuck out of here.
I'm like, okay. Okay, now look, one hint. So what are you guys planning for the holidays? What's going on?
Ooh, the holidays. Well, I got a baby on the way, so I'm not really doing much. I mean, staying home, kind of hovering around that area. Right.
And hoping to God this baby comes sooner than later for my wife's sake. She was here yesterday. Well, hopefully the baby will come this year. You could write him off.
Yeah, I mean, I could. Yeah, I mean, I could, yeah, another dependent. Just has, just has to be in the calendar year, right? Yeah, yes.
So, long as it's in the, push, Brittany, push. The baby's due December 27th, I can assure you. It's almost New Year's Eve, Brittany, push. If this baby is not here come December 27th, she's not going to be happy.
So, the baby will be here December 28th. Right, right. As long as we're talking about babies, I have some baby information I thought I'm going to go over today, Mike. Ooh, baby information, ooh, you're jumping.
Baby information. Okay. There are multiple studies that have shown that being born in December is actually the best time of the year. Really?
Yes. December babies sleep better. A study found that babies born in December actually fall asleep faster and earlier than babies born in the summer. Really?
So your other sons are more fall? April and September. So April is summerish. Yeah.
Did he have problems sleeping when he was younger? Did he have a hard time going to sleep? Well, he's like me, so like, you know, he wakes up in the middle of the night, you know, the ninjas are coming. Like the whole, like I always see people, I mean like, it happened just a couple nights ago.
Right. He's like, my older son's like that. My younger one, he wakes up, but I think it's the sleep apnea thing. Oh, could be, yeah.
And then he usually comes in and harasses me. But he hasn't done it lately, knock on wood, so. The little guy's got sleep apnea, huh? Allegedly, yeah.
Allegedly. They did a sleep study. He obviously doesn't listen. I think that it's kind of bullshit, to be honest.
Does he snore? He does, and he stops breathing. Yeah, it's. But there's one of our listeners said that it might be a cartilage not developed yet, which makes sense, could be allergies or it could be his tonsils.
Right. Yeah, so he should have gone to an ear, nose, and throat first, I think. Oh, yeah. Before they wired him up and sent him, shipped him off.
" Yeah, should have sent him to an ear, nose, and throat, you think? All right, December babies live longer. Really? They want to give your baby the best chance at living to see 100.
Apparently, December birthday is the key. The study found that these were actually a surprising number of December-born people who lived past 105 years old. Huh. And she's also a girl, so...
That's right. Men always die first. They always go first. Oh, they do.
It's all the stress that women give us. It's not easy. December... That's the thought of that.
I'm gonna go first. December babies have healthier hearts. Make sure your life insurance policy is paid up, though. The study has shown that people born in September through December have a lower rate of cardiovascular disease than the rest of us.
What about November? I'm born in November. You're in the September to December range, so... Oh, I'm doing the podcast.
Sorry. Oh, Brittany's on the show today. Turn around so I can see her on the camera. There she is, lovely Brittany.
Hi. Alright, so can I call you right back? Yeah. Alright, love you.
Alright, love you. We need to figure out how that would have come up here and on there at the same time. That'd be nice. December babies are friendlier.
According to one survey, born in December are reported to be less moody and irritable than people born in other months, specifically July. It says specifically July. Really? So weird.
I was born in July. So weird, yeah. That's why he said that. I thought that was so weird.
December babies are more likely to become dentist. I don't know why that makes any sense. Well, this is one a bit stranger point. It's interesting nonetheless.
December babies are statistically more likely to become dentist. And while they may not be a selling feature to some, at least it's a good career. Nice. December babies are usually the smartest in the class.
Really? While being the youngest in the class may make you physically smaller than the rest, it turns out the studies show the younger students are usually smarter than the rest of the class. Huh. I thought that was some interesting information on your babies coming in December.
I appreciate you looking that up. You're such a nice man. Alright. Very nice.
Okay, you guys go back on your chitchat now, and I'll see if I can come up with something that hits the topics you're talking about. Oh, yeah, what are we talking about today? Well, let's start on the fact that it's Coop's birthday week. Oh, he's a great guy, and he's kind of a big deal.
He's a very nice man. I'm not sure about his friends, but he's a very nice man. He called Mike Palmer on his bullshit, it was nice. I didn't know who John McTavish was, okay?
I know who John McTavish is now. Now you do. Now Mr. McTavish and I are friends.
Yeah, developing palettes. Yes. Yeah, so I sent him a happy birthday thing, you know, a little... He didn't post it.
I was kept looking for his social media. No, I did Facebook post it and sent a video. No, no, I thought maybe he would. Oh.
No. He does those plane selfies. You see today a guy took a plane selfie with a picture of Coop. Yeah, I saw that.
I thought that was funny. Well, you had a question. You were looking at stuff. Yeah, I'm looking at that backboard.
Yeah. Mike, The Rock. Yeah. I met him when I was a kid.
Really? Yeah. Wow. That's really cool.
That's kind of a big deal. I'm a big fan of that guy. Are you? Yeah.
Big guy. Funny, you know? I've seen all his movies. I don't realize that I'm a fan of someone until I realize that I've seen all their movies.
And that's what I know about. Kevin James, I'm a big fan. No shit. I've seen all his movies.
Well, all his movies and The Rock movies are the same movies, just about. And I'm from Queens. Right. So, you know, he's from King of Queens.
Kevin James. But not The Rock. Oh, Kevin James. I was thinking, who's the little guy in the movies?
Jack Black? No, no. Who's the black guy? Kevin Hart.
Kevin Hart, that's who I was thinking. That's a totally different guy. Totally different Kevin. You're not even close.
Totally different Kevin. He's done a lot with the rock, though. This is, you know, his little son. Did you know the rock has a hit song?
He was on the Top 100. Really? With? The cartoon.
The cartoon he did where he played the big Samoan. Oh, Moana? Yeah, there's a song in that. You're welcome.
Yeah, that's actually the song. Oh, wow. I believe it. I saw that in a video this morning.
But he also did a song with Wyclef Jean. Not as popular, apparently. It doesn't matter. It was pretty good.
Oh. So, yeah. That was not in the Top 100. Alright, yeah.
I did. I made that. There's a really long story for that. I was broke, didn't have any money, and, you know, I was a big fan, so I painted that picture on a broken down backboard in my driveway.
Right. You know, I'll give you the cliff notes without going into all the details. It was, my brother threw a party that night, and the next morning we were supposed to go see The Rock down in Miami. He woke up at like noon.
Yeah. So, he finally took me down there, and the line was around the building, and we were in a GTO. My brother's 1970 GTO. They broke down on the way.
So, you know, I tried to smuggle my way into the line. " That's all I had. " I'm a little kid. That thing's heavy, too.
And I was like-- And you were carrying that with you? Yeah, we put it in the back of the GTO. I was like, "I don't have 100, man. " You know, I'm really sorry I got, I mean, I was up, ready to go, you know, but not my brother.
" Was he in front of the other guy? He was behind him. Oh, damn it. " Mr.
Rock, I made this for you. I got pictures of it too, so... Oh! I liked his photo.
That's very cool. Yeah. Wow. Nice, younger, fatter Mikey.
Your brush with greatness. My brush with greatness. Nice. He probably wonders what happened to that young man.
" Yeah, I'm sure. What happened to the guy with the bank board with the blue bull. You know what's funny is he was with like D-Lo or D-Bo Brown or something. D-Bo, I think, was the guy.
Nobody was paying attention to the poor D-Bo. Oh, of course not. Poor D-Bo. Poor D-Bo.
So there you go, there's a story in a nutshell. That's it. So, what do you guys think of what's going on in March 2020? You think that's really going to affect the industry?
With the FDA thing? Yeah. We'll see. Hopefully, they'll postpone it again.
Well, it looks like they're working on some things, so we'll see. Yeah. I will tell you this though, are you going to TPE? I've thought about it.
Okay. I've thought about it, I'm considering it, you know? Yeah. I'm going.
I've got three manufacturers that are going to be there. You should go. Yeah, I think I should. I think I should.
I'm going to go. I wonder how many retailers are going to go. I think this year. It's a good list.
I've seen the list. Have you really? Yeah. It's a good question.
It's worth a stab, right? So many guys have dropped out of the IPCPR. We'll see how that goes, you know. Right.
It's a long time. I mean, at the end of the day, I'll still make the PCA more. It's still the most important thing to me, right? So I'll release a limited edition that you can only get there, you know, first come first serve, and do my best to promote PCA.
But in the meantime, I'm going to go to TPE. I will tell you this: they have fucking inundated me with these bullshit emails and phone calls from third parties trying to sell customer lists and all this other shit to a point where I'm super frustrated. Like, it's out of control. Really?
Yeah. " The next day, boom! Same email. Mike -- Yeah, that somehow just verified your email address.
Oh, they know my email address, they got it from TPE. No, they do. Right, but they're verifying that it is an actual email address because you answered. If you don't answer, they just drop you off the list.
They kept sending it. I'm sure they do. Every day. " So I'm going to tell -- no, even before I didn't answer.
Let me get this out of here. It's bothering me. No, it's nice and messy. Yeah, so strike one, as far as I'm concerned.
Wow. Yeah, this is not okay. That's not okay. I do not need this additional bullshit.
Right. Well, now they got you, though. So even if you don't go next year, you'll still get the same email. No, I can block the email.
Well, yeah. Yeah. But they'll just sell it to a new group of people. But it's not the only email.
Right. It's not just one. Right. Right.
So I got to block all of them. And then they're calling. Like, we got a phone call for somebody who's trying to trick us into getting hotels stay through them or some shit. It's like, whoa, dude.
So, yeah, TPE better check themselves on that because that's fucked up. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I'm planning on going, I think I'm going.
Whatever you do, don't give him your email or your phone number. I'm not giving him my email, no. You know what you should give him? You should give him Alfredo's email.
Oh, yeah. I can't tell you how many times I've done that. I put his phone number in, I do it all the time. That's awesome, you're smart.
You're very wise. I'm gonna do that next time too for Alfredo. There you go, there you go. I'm not even going to these things, how am I getting all this information?
So he's got a lot of gay emails. Nice. Yeah, gay clubs and stuff like that. You frequent that stuff?
No, I just sign him up for it. Good for you. He's on the website. Things happen.
He might use it. I think he might. What the hell? So I see this hashtag, Slaptic.
Hashtag Slaptic. So who's the Slaptic? I mean. Well, yes, Skip, we are.
It kind of depends. Oh, I got you. Yeah. It's just a term of endearment.
Right. I know a lot of Slaptics. - Oh yes, we all do. - We all do.
- I saw the new FTG Cigar from Espinosa that is down in the Caribbean. - Really? - The FTG Cigar, I can't wait to go smoke that. - There's an FTG Cigar?
- We haven't had a meeting, we're gonna have to have a meeting before the end of the year, we haven't had one in a while. - Yeah. - Yeah, out to the "Fuck that guy" group, you know, the sewing club. - Yep, the elusive FTGs.
- Right. - That sounded great. - That was loud. - Yeah.
All right, ready to keep going? Yeah. All right, West Tampa Cigar Factory with the iconic clock tower, it's for sale, Michael. Ooh.
Michael Hedrick Drew, the historic preservationist when he painted the Santella Cigar Factory white covering up the new bricks, had always defined a 114-year-old building in West Tampa. The preservationist questioned whether he'd also ignore historic precedent in redeveloping the 109-year-old Pendes & Alvarez Cigar Factory nearby, best known for his signature clock tower. Okay. 5 million.
And you can't do anything with it. Right, then you can't do anything with it. Work continues on this Centella building, but now Hendrick has signaled he is willing to part with the building. 60,000 square foot structure.
5 million, why is he? 5 million. Yeah. 3 million, according to Hillsborough County Property Brothers.
That's quite, I mean, quite the parlay there. In six months, yeah, with a year now. 5 million. It's gone up in value.
All right. Oh. I'm a little tired, man. Well, you got a bang in front of you.
You got a cold nap. You got coffee. You ready to go. Ooh.
A little warm in here, isn't it? Is it just me? It is warm in here today, I think so. I don't think so.
I think you're about to have a heart attack is what it is. No, I'm good. No heart attacks. Yeah, it's not funny.
It's not funny. It's not funny at all, Michael. It's not funny at all, Michael. It's warm in here.
Why don't you go work out again? My arm hurts. Are you? My left arm's got this pain shooting through it.
Oh, what's going on? Can you feel the pressure? It's a pressure. You want to know why you're warm?
It's because of our conversation prior to the podcast, and you're worried about that. No, I'm not worried. I'm not worried. I know you won't.
I know you won't. You know, that was... Never tell them we recorded it, Michael, don't worry about it. That'll be exclusively on the Patreon.
We can talk about it there. Patreon. Is that what we call it? Uh-huh.
Nice. Yes. 16? We got 16 members?
Nine. We wish there were 16. Secret Show #16. Secret Show #16.
We do a show every week for the gentleman that paid to hear us. Yeah. And we talk about things that we don't talk about. And we keep paying, huh?
Every month. They're good dudes. Wow. Supporters.
Nice. They bought us our new furniture in here. They did. This new table that you're sitting in.
Wow. Very nice. Looks like it was made in Greg's garage. It was.
Yes. I stained it, so let's not talk about the finish. Really? Except for this one thing here.
I don't know what happened. Looks good, man. Looks good. I gotta tell you guys, if you get a chance to come through Delta, You've got to check out the new humidor lights here at Cigar Hustler.
It's like you forgot the name there for a minute. Yeah, I did. I was going to call it TNT. I still have you guys.
It's the heart attack. Blood's not getting in all the way to his brain now. Maybe he's going to have a stroke. Do you smell plastic or something?
Do you smell pine nuts? Yeah. You know, we always try to make this place a little better, every day. All right.
Did you see yesterday, Michael, Half-Wheel reviewed the Neanderthal LH review? I heard about that. Thank you. Did you read it?
Hector, I heard about that. What? Oh, I heard about that, yes. Other than other things that they say that it has the flavors of, there's a weird cranberry flavor.
Wait, so you read that thing? I just scroll down to the end and look at the number. Well, I did, but somebody made reference to something that was mentioned, and there is a word that sticks out, a flavor that they found in it that I thought was quite unusual. Okay.
Cranberry? No, manure. Manure? Manure.
Well, you know what? I see that. I mean, a lot of cigars. Have a manure flavor?
No flavor, but a smell, an aroma, you know, yeah, it's fresh-turned soil, kind of, you know, earthy. Smoking shit. Right, right, but I wouldn't, so what was the number? They get a 92.
92. Wow. So who reviewed it? Shit never tasted so better.
I don't know, I didn't look every other. So here's how I review Half Wheel. I see the cigar that I'm interested in that they're reviewing, I click on it, I scroll all the way down, I look at the number, and then I say, okay, who reviewed it? So, if Charlie Monado gave it a 92, holy shit, I mean, that's kind of a big deal.
You know, if Brooks or Patrick or the other guys did, you know, it's still good. It didn't sound like a Charlie because there was no mention of cereal anywhere in the review. All right, I gotta look it up. I'll look it up for now.
No Coco Puzz or anything, but there was a bell pepper skin. Ooh, bell peppers. Yes. Diverse group of flavors that make up Mexican sauce.
Which is nice. And a sniff, to the sniff, it was a sweet orange chicken sauce. Really? And then I had some of the regular white pepper.
Oh man, I'm about to shit on you, dude. Semi-sour and sweet oranges. You want to know who reviewed it? I reviewed it.
Was it Charlie? Charlie Manalo. Was it Charlie? That's the high, that's like, that's a Kamehameha right there.
That's, you know, that's the next level 92. Whew! Wow. Burnt raisins.
Oh, you know, I should have known because he complained about the burning. I should've known it was Charlie. I have burnishes. But the burn is slow and I find myself needing to smoke a lot quicker than I like to.
It's very angry, Charlie. Very angry, man. Very nice. 92.
That's a big year. That's a big year. Yeah. That's my favorite cigar at the moment.
I haven't had it. Is it a good one? Neanderthal? Yeah.
I think it's the best cigar this year. Oh, wow. Mm-hmm. If you want to know the worst cigar of the year, you gotta go, you gotta pay.
Yeah, all right, all right. We get it. We get it. There's special stuff on the Patreon.
We get it. Oh, so mean. I was so gung ho about that. Do you guys review cigars?
Yeah. We do on the other one, yeah. Yeah. Oh.
Nine guys get to hear that. Yeah, but we do like a totally different thing. We don't do like 90s and 80s. That's all bullshit.
So how do you do it? Stars. Stars. Five stars.
Oh, okay. Five stars or less. Is the best that you can get. Anything that's three or above, we would smoke again.
Right. Right. That's good. That's pretty good.
That's pretty good, yeah. I like stars. Yeah, you like stars? I like stars.
Like the noodles? No, you know, I'm with that. I'm with that. When I look at Yelp and I check out the restaurants, I probably won't eat somewhere if it isn't three and a half or above, I probably won't eat there.
But I do have to read the comments. I need to know why. We talk about it. We break it.
There's specific stars for specific things. I'll do that on Amazon and then I'm afraid to buy it. I mean, even if it's got like three or four stars out of five, there'll be like three people that said something bad. Right.
And then I'll just hesitate and not buy it. I don't know why. You've got to take the plunge, Mike. It's my money, I'm not going to go.
If you don't like it, just send it back. Sometimes Amazon will just say, you know what, just keep it. Here's your money back, don't even worry about it. We're making way too much money anyways and not paying any taxes on it, so don't you worry.
I've had them do that on things that says you got delivered, but it never showed. Right. And they'll go, oh, we're so sorry, we'll just send another one. If it happened twice and then it didn't show the second time either.
Still not here. Somebody's really happy about the extra anal beads. They got two sets. It was a purse.
Thank you very much. I don't know what you order at your house. I had no idea you like purses. Yes, I keep my cigars in them.
Anal beads. Are you Googling it? No. He's looking it up.
He's looking it up. He can get that on Amazon. So anyways, hey, kudos to Charlie Minato and the great review on Half Wheel. Yes, except for the manure.
I like the score, though. It's a good score. Nobody reads it anyways. Somebody did because they mentioned it on Facebook.
Kudos to whoever read it. All right, I got a quick story, and then we're going to go, we're going to take a break, and then we're going to finish this up. All right. Cigar Aficionado is now doing five questions with.
Really? Yes. Huh. They've done it.
With Nick Melillo. That was the last one, but they've also done Jorge Padron, Pete Johnson, Heinrich Villager, and Ernesto Perez Carillo. Okay, thank you. Appreciate it.
The president. He's busy, he's a busy man. Busy man. I had to take that call.
Did you just sell some cigars? Understandable. We should get a cut. I confirmed something was delivered.
That was important. Gotcha. See, he's always worked. Out of all the reps in Florida, he's one of them.
He's one of them. That's right. That's right. I don't regret that.
I said it myself, right? Yeah, you did. I was like, oh, man. And I believe I said, I'm like, oh, man, thank you so much for that.
We use it every week we use it here. Just about every week. It's amazing. But I think Cigar Fish and I was ripping us off, Michael.
You think so? I think because we were doing it first. You think that we're the original creators of Five Questions? I think so.
But they do different questions every week. Yeah. Different people. Yeah.
So what are the five questions? I don't think that we have any clout. No, we don't have. You don't think so?
You don't think so? I was watching our show and going, "Oh, what a great idea. " No. Not six.
Not four. No. Five. I mean, I got it from another podcast, too, but it's just not- Oh, great.
Question one. What do you got? What's that? Question one.
You've asked these questions. We've asked you the questions. Mike, I've had the questions, right? Yeah.
See? He's had a stroke. He's about to have a stroke right now. Yeah, right now.
Well, when we go take care of Pete's stroke, we're going to take a little break, and then we'll be right back. Hey, it's Mike, too. Want to be part of the show? com/thecigarhustlerspodcast.
We have tiers starting at just $5 a month. For $10 a month, you get a special show swag, and then you're eligible for the weekly secret show. The Secret Show. Secret shows cover in-depth cigar reviews, behind-the-scenes information, and sometimes we just talk shit about people.
Choose which tier works best with your budget and become an official show hustler. Thanks for the support. How much video did you get? Okay, we're back.
I have no idea where it went off. I don't know. It said card is full, but I wiped the card before every show. So evidently you have to format the card before every show?
heard before every show. So here we are. We're back. So we're back.
So all I would have lost was a Cigar Fissionado 5 questions. You think so? Yeah, because I checked it before that. Okay.
So Cigar Fissionado may or may not be a copy. There may be a curtain dropping down on the YouTube video for three minutes and then it'll reappear like you did that last time. Oh yeah, like you did last time. That's right.
Brilliant. Alright, we'll do listener of the week. Wait. What do you got?
Can we talk about people destroying bathrooms and retail shops? Certainly. Have you ever noticed that? No.
Oh, they do all the time. Dude, it's terrible. They drop a load and just... Oh, that happens all the time.
Earlier this week, somebody obviously had a tremendous clog of some sort, and they just destroyed the bathroom. And this isn't the only thing that's ever occurred here, somebody is shit on the floor. Really? Like legitimately shit on the floor.
I mean, you have to deal with... I could tell you one time that I destroyed a bathroom. Gary's place, Aficionados. I had the flu.
It was my bachelor night. Right. And we went to Gary's. I was drunk and sick.
I definitely fucked up. I vomited everywhere. I don't know. I tried to clean it.
That's a little different than taking a shit on the floor. Yeah. No, I mean, I cleaned it, but I was not... I wasn't...
I mean, who hasn't had the... I wasn't 100%, so who knows to what level of clean it was. Right, right. Who hasn't thrown up in a, you know, bathroom in the public place?
You know, something did happen to me once, oh God, it was terrible, so I, uh, don't trust a fart, is what I want to tell you. Oh boy, oh man. Yeah, you can't, you can't rely on a fart. Always carry an extra pair of pants in your car when you're on the road.
You think it's just going to be, you know, and yeah, I was in the shop and, and oh yeah, just a little, you know, a little squirt. " Yeah, into the bathroom and oh yeah, it was fun. It was bad. You leave the boxes there?
You throw them away? I wrapped them up in paper. " I took the garbage bag. I had to tell him because it's a shop.
It's a tiny shop. It was only me and two other guys. I couldn't blame it on anybody else. So what do you do?
You gotta fess up. I'm not the only guy it's ever happened to, I'm sure. Right, of course. So it's the kind of shit that happens.
So you owned it? So you owned it? I owned it. " Washed your hands?
Yes. Both of them. And I walked out with the bag. "Listen, dude, I'm sorry.
" That was terrible. And then they opened you up an account? Right. Yeah, I already had the account.
And I haven't lost it either. They closed it at that point. See, I just want you to know, if that happened here, every day you walked in here, I'd tell you about it. Do you remember when you shoot yourself?
You know what? I'd blame it on someone else here. " Why in here? They stole my boxers and shit in this bag.
Can you believe that? I'm taking the evidence with me because this might be a DNA thing. You know, I'm going to dispose of this for you. I'll take care of this for you.
This is so messed up. The place is crazy. So yeah, but like, you know, what do these people's houses look like? I mean, I guess it's an accident.
How did someone shit on the floor? Someone shit on the floor one time. I mean, I've been here for 10 years. In the vicinity of the toilet?
I think it was halfway between the door and the toilet. Yeah. You think they didn't make it? But still, you have to take your pants down.
At what point does it become a state of emergency that you pull down halfway to the toilet? It wasn't, if I remember correctly, it was a pile. It wasn't like there was a trail. It wasn't a trail.
It wasn't a trail where they were trying to get it. They squatted and just laid it there and walked out. Yeah, that's happened. Wow.
We're talking about 10 years of me being in the shop, but what happens at their house? Do they clean their house? Do they just shit outside? I'm thinking they were making a statement.
You think so? Yeah, I'm thinking they were making a statement. Fuck this place. Yeah.
Maybe. Walked out the back. Took the ashtray from the back. Right.
Stole the ashtray. Well, nobody shit any ashtray. That'd be something. No, they had to steal the ashtray.
That's happened more than once. Mm-hmm. It's crazy what these guys steal. If you really need the ashtray that bad, I'll just give it to you.
Yeah. You could ask for it, you know. Yeah. Hey, you know what?
I don't have any money and I really need to dispose of my ashes at home. I'm like, okay. Okay, here, just take this. Right.
Don't worry, I'll get another one for free or whatever, you know. Pete will be here soon. I'll get an ashtray. Yeah.
Yeah, I don't carry ashtrays. Skip's got a good ashtray story. I'll have to, well, that's for another day. Oh, all right.
Oh, really? Why don't you share it today? Because I won't do it justice, and I won't do it justice. Well, let's call him on the phone, Michael.
I'm ashing everywhere today. Yeah, you are. Why don't you bring that little ashtray a little closer? I like it over here.
It's out of the shot. I used it once. Oh. So yeah, bathrooms, people, take care of yourselves, for fuck's sake.
It's like a Seinfeld thing though? Bathrooms, who knows? Pissing on the floor, I mean, how do you piss on the floor, like how does that happen? Well, they're not looking.
They're not looking. You've really gotta go, you're not looking. So clean it up. They're reading the lovely beer menus on the back of the wall behind the toilet.
Yeah, and the bathroom is very entertaining. There's a lot going on there. I think I'm gonna get that. Oh, no, I need it on the floor.
So just clean it, just clean it. I'm not touching my own pee, that's crazy. Yeah, you're crazy, somebody else do it. Yeah, pay people to do that here.
What if you're working? That's where I draw the line. You'll wait? I draw the line.
I don't clean the bathroom. Oh, okay. That's good. That's good.
I'm the only one that cleans the office bathroom. I don't know why. Well, you know. That's just the way it works.
Greg doesn't do it. If you ask Greg, he says he does everything else. I know. I think he'd hire somebody to clean his bathrooms at home.
" Because it'd be day one, he'd be like, go. Come day three, I mean, there's turmoil. Maybe four or five, because at three. Numbers are significantly down.
At three, he's starting to notice there's a problem. Wait a second, what's going on? Why is nothing selling? Nothing is in order.
People aren't handling shit. We're running out of stuff. You know, I just need more money. Anybody know what a wholesale order is?
I want some of your pay. I want your pay to come. What's your pay? I don't know what a wholesale order is.
I feel you need to be paid less, and then I make more. I just want to take some more money. No, that's not true. He does work hard.
There's not any more money to get. Well, what about yours? Right. I'll just take some of yours.
I'll just take some of yours. No, but he- You don't have children. I got that extra baby now. He does a lot of stuff.
He does. As far as books and, you know, overall back-end stuff. Right. That's important.
I don't do that. No. I thought you were going to say, I don't know really what it is. So what do you do?
You help customers in the humidor? No, I don't do that either. I mean, it's overall sales, wholesale sales. We did a video about that lovely shirt today.
Online sales, social media promotion, marketing. Explain the shirt you're wearing, Michael. Handling the employees. I got a new shirt.
I think actually you're asked not to handle the employees, generally speaking. It depends upon what level the employee has to be addressed. We don't have any more. It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter. Watch the headphones. Okay. Should I put these down?
Yeah, put those down. Show your new shirt. Mucho Weasel. Oh, yeah.
Look at that. Mucho Weasel. Oh, it looks lovely on camera. That is cool.
That's nice. Cigar Hustler, huh? Can you say who drew it? That's kind of a big thing.
No, no. No, you can't say? I don't know. I don't know if I can or not.
Oh, okay. What's that? Who drew it? Yeah.
Is it attached to maybe a cigar coming out, or? No, I put it in a sampler pack. The Mucho Weasel? You know what, that's a nice mix, too, you made.
Yeah, so I don't believe in deep discounting. I believe in incentivizing... The purchase. Right.
So, you know, give something special. Oh. And, you know. Right.
That makes more sense for me. I agree. So, I put thought into stuff, and I build stuff, and I incorporate it. Very cool.
Yeah. That's what I like about you. You're an idea man. I try to be.
Yeah. That's what he does around here. Yeah. So, give me more money.
So, give me more money. Oh, man. So, yeah. Hey, so, this is totally off subject, but I had this crazy thought.
So, Scrooge was on, on TV. And Bill Murray? Right. I fucking love that show.
And right after that was Groundhog Day. Oh, Bill Murray back to back. Yeah. I really would love to see a network just do Groundhog Day for the entire day.
Somebody's done that. I think that would be awesome. I think TBS does that on Groundhog Day. Really?
I think so. That's awesome. Or AMC, one of those type stations does that. Good for them.
Yeah. Good for you, AMC, maybe. Oh, and by the way, it was Merv Griffin. It's not Michael Douglas.
Yeah, it was Merv Griffin. I corrected that after the fact. But now it's on the podcast. It's officially corrected.
Oh, well, we put up the photo. Yeah. Which was hilarious. Yeah.
We might start adding Skip to all of our- Did John do that? Oh, yes. That was so quick. Yeah, he did it fast.
He did it on the fly. It was in like two seconds. Like, boom. I'm like, oh, okay.
I feel like I'm not contributing enough. Yeah. To the show, you know? Yeah.
A little quiet. I agree. Yeah. You want to do Listener of the Week?
Are you scared to get yourself in trouble? You know, I think that conversation, you just kind of turned me off. " Yeah. Ooh.
What anger. Gosh. He is very angry. You know what?
Here's the deal. Without going into detail, you're going to wind him up again. I knew he couldn't hold back. I like to help people.
I like to be there for people, and I'll do anything within reason for a lot of people. Right, right. And I'll even take the punch in the face from somebody. Like, that doesn't bother me.
" But the second that I see somebody being overly aggressive to somebody who I don't think deserves it, I got a problem with that. " No, no, no. You're out of line. You're out of line.
And you guys make it okay. And I'm not okay with that. Wow. I wonder if he's had this conversation with all the other, with my other compatriots, you know?
You're the first one I got my hands on. Really? Yeah. It's a new thing.
He's going to have a little conference with all the guys that come in. Yeah. This is the way it's going to work for now on. Oh, yeah.
What's that line now? Maybe. This is how it is, or this is the way it should be? What's the Mandalorian line?
This is the way. This is the way. Maybe I should just start dropping product. Oh.
They won't care. No, they won't care. They won't care, no. Dropping product.
Like what, what do you mean? Countering back. Well, hey, you know. Huh.
We're gonna save that for, uh... We're gonna save that for the, uh... Patreon? The Patreon.
Yeah, you're gonna talk more on the Patreon. I think we'll talk a little bit about that, yeah. That's interesting. That'll be good.
I don't know if I want to get into it, though. I don't know. Wow. Boy.
Christmas is right around the corner. Gosh. Hey, come on, man. I would never put you in that position.
No, I know, I know, I know. You're a good guy, Mike, you know? I like the relationship we have. Yeah.
You know, it's been a good 10 years. It's really forced. I've been doing this 10 years now. Yeah.
Wow. Started in 2009, yeah. Yeah, for the first two years, we never met you. Right, right.
But we knew that we were giving you money, apparently. Perhaps. Not much. It wasn't much.
No, it was something. It was decent. " You have a rep? I'm like, what?
What do you mean? I don't remember. I'm like, do you know you have a rep? I'm like, what?
What's a rep? Like, you know, nobody really came around. You mean somebody comes by? Son of a bitch.
Wow. And then you started pushing the Fuego 777s on us, and then they dropped you, and then we dropped them. So yeah. Right.
Good times. Head by all. I forgot about the 777s. That was great.
Did we talk about that? No. I don't know if we talked about that. No, we didn't last time.
" You know, this is one of our first few years, right? Right. " So, he's showing, he's walking us to his booths, the ones that he represents, and he was recently dropped. So, he walks over there, and he's like, "Hey, see these guys?
" Oh, wow. What a cool move. " Wow, yeah. " But yeah, I'll teach you.
Everything's on sale now for your home. We're with Pete! We're with Pete. Wow.
That was awesome. That's so, yeah, yeah, I remember that. Wow, yeah, I did that, I did that. Yeah, I remember that, yeah.
You were half kidding. Yeah, I mean, it's all in jest, you know, I mean, you know, this industry, you can play like that, you know? I mean, and you knew that we were done with the brand anyways. Right, right, right.
Yeah. That's why this podcast is the best. That's why we're gaining every single week. All right, so what else you got?
Now you want to do Listener of the Week? Sure, go ahead. You picked him. All right.
Oh, I did pick him. That's right. It's Mr. Jaypar530 on Instagram.
Yeah. Mr. Josh. He gets the bell, the gong.
Look, he got a little gong. Isn't that nice? Well, that's very nice. Yeah.
So many little things. So what do you got? Listener of the Week. Why do you think about that?
We pick someone who Who has shown support for the show over the last seven days? Yeah. Or for the brand? How do they do that?
How do they show support? Yeah, they reach out to me, they reach out to him, or whatever, you know, they say something. They tag us in a post on social media, or something like that. I mean, just various things.
Wow, very cool. Yeah, so we like to give a shout out to our listeners, let them know we appreciate them. Shop of the Week, we do Shops of the Week, too. Ooh, and the Shop of the Week.
Shop of the Week is Paradise Cigars. Paradise Cigars. 612 Barnes Road, Rockledge, Florida. It's on the road, Rockledge, Florida, the celebrating nine-year anniversary today.
Yes, I'll be there tonight. Yes, I'll be there tonight. Oh, that's right. Yes, I'll be there tonight, yes.
How far is that from here? That's over in Rockledge. That's where Susan and Mike Zook is, and what's the other... About an hour?
Yeah, about an hour. About an hour from here. What's her dad's name? Susan's dad?
The other guy? Brooks? Brooks, that's a good memory. He's not her dad, is he?
He's not her dad. He's not his dad? Oh, I thought it was her dad. No, he's not.
Mike doesn't fact-check anything. I don't fact-check anything. We sat on one of our trips. Did we?
It was late. It was late at night when we came by there, but they were still open. Yeah, very nice. So they're listeners?
Oh, yes. Susan and Mike are listeners. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Paradise. Mike, her husband's- They've got a bar. Yeah, yeah. Her husband's the rocket scientist.
Yes. Yeah, they're cool people. Yeah, they're really nice. They've been here.
Yes. Yeah, they come here for events all the time. Yeah. Yeah, they're good people.
Zina Meal's going to be there tonight. Pete's going to be there. Well, this is going to air afterwards. Oh, that's right.
That's right. Well, they were there tonight. They were there on Friday. I think Joaquin's gonna be there tonight.
Oh, Maximum Accessory Man. That's right. The Cuban Cowboy. I think Groover's gonna be there tonight, I think.
Are his shirts getting smaller, or Groover? He's the same tailor you do, Michael. Oh, really? Are we talking about Groover or are we talking about Joaquin?
I'm talking about Groover or Joaquin, yeah, he does wear very tight. I think they're L's. It's nice. They're nice.
Yeah, it's nice. Looks good. It's nice. He's a very nice man.
Who else can we piss off, Mike? I don't know. Do you want to show your, the right here? You're getting anonymous Amazon packages?
Oh, yeah, yeah. So, I don't know what's going on here, Pete. This is pretty funny. But somebody is sending me random shit from Amazon.
For the last two weeks. He gets like a package a week. So, I don't know who it is, but I've gotten a USB charger. For the car.
It's a dual USB charger. Very nice. Oh, wow. And so, like, this came in and I didn't think anything of it.
I'm like, I don't know. It's just a mistake. Something's happened. Him and Greg argued for a week.
Did you buy it? I didn't buy it. You know. Yeah, it becomes a big argument.
Who touched that? And now I have this lovely shoe rack. Over the door shoe holder. Over the door shoe rack.
Oh, wow. That came this week. Very thoughtful. I just have the one pair of shoes, but you know, I could hang them up and then leave 23 open, And 23 open slots.
You can put cigars in them. Yeah. So that's really nice. I don't know who's doing it.
But it is funny. It's funny as all hell. Wow. And thanks.
Thank you very much. I think I'm going to send you something now. That's perfect. Go ahead.
Just don't do the glitter bomb. And they all come from Amazon. If it's a glitter bomb, I'll know it's you. I don't know glitter bomb.
Can you send a glitter bomb? Oh, yes. Really? I saw that on TV.
Not only can you send a glitter bomb, there is a company where you can send shit. That's a shit. Actual poop. And you can pick the animal, and if you want gorilla or something like that, it gets more expensive.
Of course. It's a little harder to get. And then it says, if you want to know who sent you this, the answer is in the bottom of the shit pile. If you dig through it, the piece of paper that's on there says we'll never tell you who did it.
Oh, now you just ruined it. That's great. That's amazing. That is great.
So what's the website? Man, I gotta look it up. com or something like that. com.
It's something pretty easy. That is awesome. com or something. Good stuff.
Who knows? But glitter, I mean glitter. Oh man. Glitter would be tough.
That would be, you open it in your car. See for me, I don't open my packages. Somebody else does here. Greg, Greg always opens them.
So glitter bomb would be great. You'd really be destroying Greg. All right, we got another package, Michael, from our friends at Bang. You've been, oh, you've been holding it.
I've been hiding this and I have not opened it yet. I was wondering what was going on because we haven't received anything. We haven't heard anything? No, this came Wednesday.
It came from VPX, which is Bang Energy. Yeah. So they're still sponsors of the show, huh? Well, they send him stuff.
They hate me. I'm a huge fan, except for the one flavor. Oh, this is nice. All right, there is a letter.
And then we will pull out what it is they say. Please tell your partner, stop talking about us. All right. Dear Michael, congratulations on your 100th show, which is next week.
Here's a little something for you and your "taste like diabetes" co-hosts. Good luck, gentlemen, on the next 100th episode. That is awesome. And that's sincerely from Head of Social Media.
I have a friend Richie again. Wow. Richie, thanks for listening, man. That's really nice of you.
Look at this. There's two. There's one for each of us, apparently. Oh, let's get out of town.
What do you got? T-shirt? - Oh, these are nice. Look at this.
- Oh, wow. Very nice. - That is badass. - Those are very cool.
Fuel your destiny, Michael. - I'm totally gonna wear this. - We'll have to wear it next week for the 100th show. - Wow.
" - That is awesome. - That is very cool. Well, thanks, Richie. - That's very nice.
- Yeah. Great soda, by the way, great beverage. Oh, well, you sent this up here for the rest of the show now. He gets a shirt, and he's a huge fan.
Hold the bang of the bang time again. Oh, that's nice. Very nice. Yeah, we love bang.
We love our friends at bang. We drink a ton of bang. Oh, alright. Well, that was nice.
That was awesome. I thought it might be a glitter bomb. Well, let's see what they got here. Let's see.
Okay, we have a show update, and then we can go. Okay, I would like to welcome Honduras to the podcast family, and Bosnia, and Herzegovina, how do you say that, I don't know, well let's say Bosnia, and Bosnia to the podcast family, I feel like we should have got Honduras before, well it was one of the Central American ones we didn't have, it's very small, I almost missed it this week, that's tied into the cigar industry, you figured that somebody, well apparently somebody there has found us, we had one listener over the last 30 days, or actually from last week, yeah you are, Honduras, I'll be there in February, oh listen to the show, That way you're there. I will. com.
We have 150 subscribers now on YouTube. Yeah. And then this is big news here, Michael. Oh, you have big news?
Big news. Well, not as big as you think, but it is pretty big. We're within 74 followers of being the number one cigar show on Podbean. That's right.
74. Wow. We've been after Cigar Authority for two years now. Mm-hmm.
We are within 74. We're gaining. You guys are killing it. Gaining.
So if we can get 74 followers by next week for the 100th episode. The 100th episode we can announce. That's great, with our secret special guest. Secret special guest next week.
We can't tell you. It's a secret special guest. And when is that? For the 100th show?
Yeah, next week. We recorded it on Thursday. It was verified yesterday. Oh.
Skip Martin will be here? No, no. We already had him on. We did a three-part show with him in year two.
He could talk for hours. Really? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Yeah. He's got a good thing going over there. He does. He's in Miami, apparently.
Is he really? Yeah, he was checking in some places yesterday in Miami, and Groover put up a picture of him, which I didn't think was actually him, but it turned out it was him. That's because you couldn't see if there was flip-flops. If there were flip-flops in the picture.
Oh, that's right, yeah. All right. Well, that's it. That's all I got.
That was episode 99? Do you have anything to add, Pete? No, you know, I'm sorry I wasn't as entertaining as I usually am. That's okay, you're a little tired.
I'm a little tired, yes. You're going to Paradise Cigars, it was nice, you know? I mean, this was a random check-in. Right, yeah.
Which we appreciate, you know? It's always good to see you. It surprised you today, I didn't even call, just showed up, and everybody was here, that was great. Yeah, damn, he's on to us.
Afternoons are like that, that's the trick to be here in the afternoon. Oh, really? After 12. After 12, before 4.
Before 5. Oh. Not to get everybody. Yeah, it's true.
25 hours a week, huh? What's that? 25 hours a week? It would be 25 hours a week if I didn't have this.
Oh. Yeah. Well, I'm here at 10 every day, but, you know. This work goes where you go.
Absolutely. So, yeah, as far as me being in the store, actually, actually, it's actually longer than that because now I'm working evenings, but yeah, for the most part, it's 25 hours. That's not bad, not bad. Yeah.
Yeah, I put in more hours than that, but you know. I'm sure you do. Today alone, he'll put in more hours. Yeah.
I mean, if you really want to put me to the test, send me an email at midnight and see if you get a response. Oh, really? Or two o'clock in the morning, or four o'clock in the morning. I'm not allowed to text after nine.
Really? You are up in the middle of the night? I don't sleep well. Yeah.
Oh, wow. Is that a new thing? No, I've always kind of been that way. I'm just ready to go.
I'm ready to go. I'm ready to work. I mean, I nap periodically. That's it.
You did text me last night at 11:00. Yeah. I'm not up at 11:00. And then I text you at 5:30 in the morning.
Oh, those I get. I'm up at 5:30. Ready to go. Wow.
He likes to tell me good night and good morning every day. Oh, that's sweet. The first and last person he thinks of every day. Oh, good morning.
So there you go. Well, you know, I appreciate being on the show. I appreciate being on the show. Thank you, guys.
Oh, anytime. I always love having Pete Hernandez. All the reps in the state of Florida, he's one of them. That's it.
There you go, you exist. That's it. Is that on your card? I should put that on your business card.
I should put that on my card. I'm gonna sign my emails with that. Of all the reps of Florida. Of all the reps.
You got me. It's even better. All right, with that, we're gonna go. All right, bye guys.

I'm good, Mike and Mike. How are you guys doing? I don't even have to try to answer it. He's not even going to try.
We're going to cover a lot of ground here, Mike. All right. Try to keep up. That's a sign of a good podcast.
It would be like four cigars when I walked in a door. All right, end this. Thank you.
