Talking Cigars, Reviews & Wild Headlines | 619

Episode Summary

In episode 619 of A Cigar Hustler's Podcast, hosts Mike "BDP" Palmer and "Triple G" Greg (with engineer Mike Stepankewicz) open with their usual chaotic banter — riffing on absent producer Phil McGuffey, upcoming Halloween "Ghost Smoker" merch, Patreon giveaway ideas, and listener comments from the CHPod Lounge on everything from travel advisories to hospital gossip.

The news segment tackles a set of wild headlines: leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland signing a pact affirming their right to leave the United Kingdom (and why the hosts think it amounts to political nothingness under the crown), FBI Director Kash Patel's controversial removal of automatic disqualification for applicants with past involvement in prostitution or bestiality, and a volcanic ash eruption at Mount Etna in Sicily that closed an airport and diverted flights.

The cigar news portion is the meat for enthusiasts: Blackworks Studio's new limited-edition Culture Vulture from James Brown — an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper with Connecticut Seed and Candela creating a green-to-yellow ombre fade, over an Ecuadorian Habano binder and Nicaraguan filler, made at Fabrica Oveja Negra and shipping in Panatella, Robusto and Toro. The hosts even call rep Adrian Acosta live to ask about trying it (he says no — it's a tiny LE drop). They also cover Oliva's Year of the Goat Lunar New Year release, a Cameroon-wrapped 6x60 Gordo bound for a German trade fair and the Middle East at ~$35 a stick. The show closes with "What's the Score?", predicting Patrick Lagreid's rating for the Aganorsa Leaf Anniversario Connecticut Tubo (a 6x52 Toro that landed an 86).

And everything I do is obnoxious. Three, two, one, go! P. Palmer, your host.

Joined by my co-host again this week, Superstar, Triple G. Obnoxious Greg. Obnoxious Greg. Who said you were obnoxious?

You did! Just when you drink your bottle of water. That was less than 30 seconds ago. How did he forget that?

Who said you were obnoxious? You did! I didn't say that you were always obnoxious. Oh, I said that I'm obnoxious.

You said that the action that I was taking was obnoxious, and I said that it made sense. Well, because I'm obnoxious. Well, you said that I was alright, Spider. I don't know what to tell you, man.

I have no idea what's going on. " I get it, I get it. It's right by the microphone. Yeah, yeah.

It tastes better that way. No, it doesn't. And as you can see over in engineering, we have the always complaining, the king, Mike Stepankewicz. How am I always complaining?

Well, today it's just water. Weren't you here 30 seconds ago? We just discussed this. Hey, did you not see the B roll?

-I'm just trying to make you guys better. -Phil's still not available, he still has Kevin in his eye, and we don't know when he'll be back. -And apparently he can't do anything. -I gotta call him, make sure he's okay, 'cause, like, I haven't actually reached out to him and asked him if he's alright.

-He's scratched his eye. -But it's so bad that he can't come here, so obviously it's gotta be bad. -No, it's not so bad that he can't come here, it's so bad that he doesn't want to come here. -Well, it's so bad that he can't wear the masks, therefore he doesn't want to come here.

-Well, he can't wear his contacts, apparently, is the problem, But, I mean, we could not have the camera on for him. Yeah, he could just have the camera off. So is it because he can't see without the contacts that he can't run the board? He has to wear his glasses, so that's why he can't wear the mask.

Oh, okay. I think generally what happens with him is if it's like a three-wipe poop, he's out for the day. Ah. You know, when he has to go back multiple times, he's realizing something is off.

There's just too much sticking to my cheeks. Have you ever spoken to him about the way that he wipes his butt? It's a very interesting topic. Steve Brown: I have not, but I'm-- Steve Brown: I've never talked to anyone about how they're wiping.

Steve Brown: Yeah. Steve Brown: How have you not done these types of things? So, first of all, his technique is something of the likes, like, he grabs the paper and then, and then, to make sure that there is nothing that could possibly touch his hand on accident. He, like, he takes, like, half the roll per wipe.

He's the reason why they're eliminating the rainforest right now. Phil. - McGuffey? - Phil McGuffey.

- Sole reason. - Well, he got lost in there in the rainforest a long time ago, so I could see-- - One of the highest rated shows. - I could see why he's anti them. - He got lost in the rainforest?

- He got lost in the rainforest. - What does that mean? - He was lost in the rainforest several episodes. - Yeah, so we had-- - His sister was on.

- Yeah. - She came in and filled in for him. - Oh, that's beautiful. - Karen.

- Oh, my. - Okay. - Looks a lot like Phil in a wig. - In a wig.

- Yes. - I could only imagine. - But with a much higher voice. - All right, very nice.

By the way, I was talking to David Hasselhoffman, waiting 'til you see. So the mask that he sent, it was intended for November. Okay. I said, okay, well, the one that you sent before, I don't want to release that one earlier.

I want that one to be the end of the year. Right, December. Yeah. Right.

So then I said, so if you could just hurry up and make another one. Hurry up, make an October one. He's like, I actually have one that I've been building, but you're going to have to assemble it When it gets there. Oh.

That means I'm going to have to assemble when it gets there. And he sent me a picture of this thing, and I'm like, my God, man, this thing is, oof. We could just put a sheet on it with holes in it, and he could be the ghost. He could be a ghost for October.

Well, for the shirt. Yeah, that's cool. In the thumbnails, you've had the ghost shirt on for the last two days. I know, I saw that.

It's nice. The day before yesterday, it rotated between the two of you. Yeah. It's supposed to be all three of us, for some reason, I never put it on.

CBT just refuses. Okay. All right, from cigars, sports, and business, to pop culture, and the wildest headlines, if it's worth discussing, we're gonna talk about it. No safe spaces, just real perspective, big laughs, and chaos at any moment.

Settle in and welcome to a Cigar Hustlers Podcast. Dun, dun, dun. So great. On today's show, the UK breaks up.

Okay. Oh, is that the one that I told you to report on? It's not a good story, but we're not passing on it, though. We're talking about it.

We're talking about it. I think that it's very interesting. Prostitution and bestiality, FBI says maybe. Ah, yes, this is another very interesting story.

A volcano erupts in Sicily, closes an airport, then in cigars, we have a new cigar, a new cigar, and a new cigar. Ah. Then we end the show with a what's the score. But first, Michael, what's the word in the lounge?

Is it working today? Is the lounge working today? I heard you talking to Claude this morning. It's broken.

Yes, I was talking to Claude this morning. It's working. He was arguing with Claude this morning. He argues with it a lot, which is great.

He tries to be nice to Claude, though, when he tells Claude he's doing something wrong, not like us. Yeah. Right. I'm having this, by the way, "Saniza Fina" in Connecticut.

Oh, "Saniza Fina" in Connecticut. Well, first of all, like and subscribe wherever you're viewing and listening to this show. com for all your chpod swag, where we just released the Ghost, I don't even know what you call it, the Ghost Smoker? Ghost Smoker?

I think that's what it is called. You know what, Ghost Smoker, Ghost, and the Ghost Smoker stickers, the Ghost, the Ghost Smoker stickers are starting to move. Are they? Yeah, people, people are buying like four or five at a time.

Oh, wow. Yeah. Is there a deal for getting more than one? Well, everything's BOGO.

Buy one, get those. Even on the stickers? Buy one sticker, get one sticker free? How much does the sticker cost?

Get it 40% off. Oh, 40% off. How much does the sticker cost? I never thought that it would apply to the sticker.

Three bucks? Mm-hmm. Wow. Would you like one?

No. We discussed this. I'm not a sticker guy. Three dollars.

It'd look cool on your Hummer. It'd look great on your Hummer. I'm not a sticker guy. com, us, Cigar Hustlers Podcast.

I was talking with Rosales about potential ways to kind of expand on the Patreon. Yeah. Something about like doing particular giveaways and stuff. And like the only way that you could be part of the giveaway is if you're a Patreon member.

Right. So that may be something that we will look into. I've just got to figure it out. Be a member, you could win.

Correct. Like we review something and we talk about it, or maybe when we're reviewing cigars, we can let them know in advance. I don't know. We'll figure it out.

The lounge is working. What? In advance. I mean, we don't know a cigar we're reviewing until the show's about to end.

I understand that. I understand that. We talked about that before, like, okay, if we could plan this in advance, Maybe we could sell like a five-pack or something so they could smoke it as we smoke it. Yeah, but not even the five-pack, I don't know.

Well, the person that you have to come to set everything up can actually do that whole plan for you. That would be nice. Well, then Keanu's out. Why?

You want him to think? He has the capacity to think. He's not an income poop. Completely.

I would choose him over Jake. Jake seems a little flighty still. I like flighty Jake. I like flighty Jake.

I don't just like Jake. I love all our employees. I think they're all great. " Alright, so, the lounge is working.

It's operational. I'm also adjusting the time for you, Mr. Weiss, so it'll be released 30 minutes after the show and that should be effective on this show. " Yes, that's the plan.

Yeah, that's what's happening. Yes. I think I'm going to be in Greenland in a couple months. Are you?

Oh, get the shrimp. I think I am. I think the wife planned a trip to Greenland and Poland. You may be frowned upon as an American.

It could be, yeah. It may not go well. I'm going to check the Department of State. There might be some travel warnings.

Everywhere is a travel warning. Yeah, pretty much now, yeah. If you're American, eh, they don't want you. Do you know Nicaragua is a level three at the moment?

When we were there, it was a level three travel advisory. What does that mean? Give me context. Safety concerns.

One is an everyday thing. Five is, don't go, you're not coming back. So we're two away from don't go, you're not coming back? Right, yeah.

So like slight possibility of kidnapping is what it is? Right. Oh, wow. While we were there?

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's nice. It's probably that level every time I've been.

It probably is. They might be like a standard level three. Do you know what the level was when we were in China? No, that was years.

Yeah, but what do you think? If you speculate. It's probably two. Two, two.

Two is a good number. Two. Yeah. Sorry, Michael.

Back to the show. No, no. You guys. Talk amongst yourselves.

Yeah, you're fine. At CW63A3 says, also, the amount of sex between doctors, nurses, and staff in the hospital would blow your mind, not to mention patients and their significant others. Wow. I believe that.

I do too. It's like Grey's Anatomy. Somebody was always in the day room or whatever the hell they called it. Okay.

So, do you think that there is just a lot of sex going on inside all businesses? No. Okay. So, don't you hold like doctors and health caregivers to a certain higher standard than, let's say, I don't know, a McDonald's worker, Mike Sinclair: Where there is less sex happening.

Mike Sinclair: Allegedly? Mike Sinclair: Allegedly. Mike Sinclair: You'd probably be surprised. Mike Sinclair: Probably that walk-in cooler sees a lot of action.

Mike Sinclair: But that going back to my statement, is it happening in all businesses? Mike Sinclair: My brother says no, most likely not. Mike Sinclair: Okay, I kind of believe that. Mike Sinclair: Like, you know, strip club, yeah, that workplace, get it.

Mike Sinclair: Right? Mike Sinclair: Bars, okay, yeah, I understand that. Mike Sinclair: Well, hospitals have rooms set up where nurses and doctors can sleep. Mike Sinclair: So there's beds.

Mike Sinclair: I get it. But from the comment, it's like it's happening more often within that style business than others. And I'm like, well, why? - Okay, well, first of all, I mean, if I'm in the room with my wife, and I'm like, maybe we could, I don't know, I'd be down with that.

You know what I'm saying? - As a patient, I have no problem with that. I'm not holding you to any standard other than patient. - Right.

- Okay, so, but if you're trying to deviate off. So, I mean, like, where does a doctor classify themselves? I mean, the rock star, obviously, you know, believes... Tour bus, you know, type stuff.

Well, first of all, top 1% earner as far as economics, right? Number two, responsible for other people's health and potential life. That's a pretty big standard. A lot of stress.

A lot of stress there. You gotta pop that cap. I get it, but also you would think that somebody would be well-rounded enough not to do it in the place of work. I'm here for 24 to 48 hours.

There's a room with a bed. S. Mike, you're spot on about the taxation approach here in us, it's, if it's mildly fun, entertaining, or communal, they'll find a way to cash in, yeah, that sucks, dude, I'm sorry to hear that, uh, at Ruckus on Chains says, I'm depressed, I'm depressed, the shirt It will not be made. Oh.

I'm sorry, Sharon. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but listen, Mom. I've already explained this to you.

My wife is more important than you are. Oh, wow. I've already explained this to you. It's true.

No, no, no. I completely support what you just said. It was just funny. Those are the principles of life.

Right. Your wife is the priority. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

No, I totally agree. There was some meme that came across my feed where it's this. It's this, I think it was either a guy and his girlfriend, maybe a guy and his wife. I'm not 100% sure.

But like mom comes out of the house, girl comes out of the house, guy comes out of the house, girl goes to get in the front of the car and mom's like, what are you doing? Right? What do you mean? I'm getting in the car.

No, I'm not riding the back. And then the dude's like, yeah, you know, you got to get in the back. My mom's getting in the front. No, no, that doesn't make any sense.

You're out of your mind. Doesn't make any sense. You're out of your mind. Yeah.

So is the mom. Right. 100%. It's not your little boy anymore.

right yeah uh michael z says from the cigar ch pod lounge smoking pipes is selling mooncake if that was who is triple g was thinking about that is yes yep there you go yep uh at rooks coding says i'll make the shirts for you oh god listen we're capable of making the shirts You're missing the whole point at Rooks Coatings. I believe you have a wife, right, last time I checked? Super sweet woman, by the way. And if she said, "Hey, this isn't happening," and you supersede her, let me know how that turns out.

Because now she's no longer your counsel. " It's called a partnership for life. Have you met his wife? Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. The woman's got his back like crazy. Of course.

Yeah. As any good woman would. Good wife. Sure.

Absolutely. 100%. Yeah. Christopher Weiss from the CHPod Lounge as well says, "To answer your question, Triple G, I had a rare day off, so I waited for the episode to drop in the lounge so I could comment.

And Mikey is right. I was referring to the episode dropping in the lounge. " I appreciate his explanation, and I love the fact that he takes my joke to a point where he needs to explain it. I appreciate that.

First of all, Chris, you are a real one, bro. We appreciate you and all your efforts that you do for us on every platform, bro. You're a good dude, man, for sure. We appreciate it.

Oh, and also the fact that you said Mikey is right. That was perfect. Oh, yeah, Mikey likes to be right. Yeah, that's a fair one.

Like to be right. At Jammin52TFT, I'm sorry for screwing that up because it's probably like 52ft or something. 52ft. I changed my username because you couldn't pronounce John Van Deventer.

And now we can't pronounce the new name. I can't pronounce the new one either. I can't make this up. We need to make it one letter for him.

That would be nice. Just one letter. And I don't want to get beat mentally like Palmer's wife, allegedly. At Jammin also said, I'm going to say Hammin, I never realized the anesthesiologist had the type of amazing stamina, and isn't gas station Viagra the latest Sanj Patel drop?

That is not nice. That is not nice. Funny, but nice. That is not okay.

You can tell I don't pre-read these. That is a great name for a cigar, though. It really is. It's a great name.

Gas station Viagra. Gas station Viagra. Sounds like something Espinosa would do. Oh, my God.

0 says, "We need to jump off the cliff, build a plane on the way down shirt, or really throw it back. The dream is free. " Yep, dude, I mean, you're dating yourself there, Captain Oblivious. You've been in it for a while, my guy.

That's impressive. Yeah, like a jump from the plane, jump off the cliff, build the plane, like that would be a cool little image for sure. Build the plane as we fall from the sky. Well, kind of, but my saying is always jump off the cliff and build the plane all the way down.

Yeah. Yeah, the other one's really long. You need a bigger shirt. Yeah, something about sky.

This is longer than mine. Build the plane, build the plane as you fall from the sky. guy it wouldn't be the words it would be like the imagery yeah you know pretty much the same thing no we're in a plane going over a cliff and parts are missing you're not in a plane you're building a plane well you would have to be in part of it maybe in the cockpit or something sitting on top of it you could sit on top of it something like still part of it built i mean when i could just jump with a bunch of metal that would look like a plane i would totally jump it could be the skeleton And what was the other one? The hustle comes separately?

Yeah. The dream is real, the hustle is separate. The dream is free, hustle sold separately. The dream is free, hustle sold separately.

Yeah, that's pretty badass. I like that. Yeah. We could totally do that one.

That's more verbiage. I like that. I like that a lot. So, yeah.

So, if you want to hear your comment right aloud on the show, simply comment below on this YouTube page, in this YouTube episode, or comment on the CHPod Lounge. That could be, that could be the shirt for next year's PCA. Okay. The dream is, whatever that was, the dream is free, the hustle is sold separately.

You know what I think it is maybe, maybe it's like you have good ideas, I think maybe that you catch me off guard when you, when you throw them at me. And that's why I think they're a bad idea until I eventually say, oh, that's a good idea. And then you say, oh, well, you thought, I'm glad, so glad you thought of that, even though I didn't think of it, you thought of it. Right.

You know, we have this conversation countless times behind your back. - Yeah. - Yeah. - He'll come to me and we'll have a conversation.

I'm like, so Mike said that this is okay. He's like, well, I talked with him about it three weeks ago and it wasn't okay then. I'm like, well, I just talked with him about it, it's okay. He's like, well, why is it okay when it's from you?

It's like, it's not that it's from me, it's just that it's not from you sometimes. I don't know why, but it is what it is. - I just think, I don't, I think it's where he places it. - His timing?

- Yeah. - So like, can you give an example of what would be a bad time for the placement? What would be a good time for the placement? I don't know, like I just felt like I just rattled all those things off and then he's like, or we can do that for PCA next year.

And like, I felt me being like agitated, like, I can't write it down. If I don't say it now, I'm not gonna remember. No, you totally missed it, right? The fundamental problem is he's angry, right?

That's what the issue is. I just, I just got angry. I don't know why I got agitated. I'll tell you why, because it's like, fucking PCA, like, I'm not thinking of that, like, there's no way right now, you know what I mean, like, Scar Convention next year?

Yeah. Yeah, no, I get it. I'm trying to make it to Friday. Yeah, but you were genuinely agitated at Palmer about it, like, you got mad at him about a constructive perspective.

Like, who's thinking of PCA? You know what I mean? Like, and he didn't do anything wrong, you know what I'm saying? Oh my God.

I'm just reflecting over here. Just angry. He's trying to be a better person. Just angry.

Just angry. Is that so wrong? Is that so wrong? Look at, he's just, one day he shoots all of us.

I don't think that that would be a good idea for PCA only because of the word hustle and that's like affiliated with the retail aspect where it's a different company that we're actually promoting while we're there, right? So that's my two cents on that. But I think it would be a great t-shirt and I love the motto. I just wanted to know knee-jerk reaction.

It just angered me because it was PCA, but I know that it's a great idea and I love you very much. Thank you. Oh, you too Mike. Alright.

We've tried separating from Hustler, and it's just not possible. What do you mean by that? Well, when I started doing the sales stuff, we thought, okay, let's just try to separate me from Hustler, so I stopped doing the videos and all that kind of stuff. People still associate me with the operation upstairs.

Oh, okay. We tried to get rid of BDP, but that just wouldn't go away either, just to make it more professional. And now you have the large printing of the hat. No, I have a large printing of the hat, yeah.

Yeah, lean into it. Well, I mean... Yeah, we really tried to step back from it with this gigantic hat. Right, yeah.

I figured we gave up on that. So let's just... And I love the puff embroidery. I'm sure you're like, no, no, no, that's not puffy enough.

I need more puff in the embroidery. More puff. Those letters are huge. My wife had it made from an image that I decided I wanted, and he had seen it too, but she took it in and had it made.

It's a great hat. Because we were talking about making it. Yeah, I'm just busting chops because you were like, you know, we were trying to get away from the BDP. I'm like, there's no way I walk into a shop.

That's what they call me, whether, you know, no matter what it is, that's appropriate. I like it. I like it. Yeah, I think sometimes that when you when you get backlash, like, oh, maybe we shouldn't have done that.

And then as you kind of continue for like, oh, it's perfectly fine, whatever. Right. You know, I think that that's also happened kind of gradually as you get like more eight years into this podcast, right? Like, Like, well, at this point, we've upset so many people, right?

You know what I mean? Like, I don't even know where the list, I don't even know where it starts or where it ends. But I just know that it's, I'm like, well, whatever, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, so sorry, you know what I mean? Right.

And if you come from a genuine spot, it's much easier to just say, okay, get over it, I'm over it, so, like... Yeah, we've moved on. Yeah. You wanna, like, you're mad at me still?

Sorry. Sorry, we're looking for the next guy we're gonna make mad. Yeah. You know what I mean?

We're sorry. We're sorry. We're very sorry. Very sorry.

All right. 22 minutes in, we haven't touched a single thing. Nothing. Done nothing.

It's that kind of show. All right. Now the news. The leaders of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland have signed an historic agreement affirming that each nation has the right to leave the United Kingdom.

This is actually really big, man. Like, that's kind of why I brought it to you. I know. " No, no, it's not that I don't care about it.

It's just how the story ends. Ah, okay. With nothing, basically. Political nothingness.

These people have no authority at all to say that. It's run by a kingdom. So, I mean, whether they want to leave or not, they can't. Right.

Yeah. Well, that's how a revolution starts. That's my point. Why is this a big deal?

Well, I don't think. I mean, they were offered in 2014 to become separate nations. " To secede? Well, it wasn't seceding.

The government was going, "You guys all vote. " Oh, they should've taken that opportunity. " All right, so read the story. I'm sorry.

All right, Scotland's First Minister, John Sweeney Wales, First Minister, Ran Lorth, and Northern Ireland's First Minister, Michael O'Neill, told Prime Minister Andy Burnham to prepare for possible constitutional change. They also declared that their country's futures may be closer to the European Union than Westminster. Ran Lorth definitely operates for the dark side. Like that name?

That's Rand Lorth. That's a great name. Rand D. Lorth.

Randy is, no, you can't go Randy. No, it's not Randy. It's R-H-A-M. And then there was a D-E, umlaut.

Ram. Yes. D. Lorth.

But I dropped the D part because... It sounds more Sith without the D. Right. It's always better when you just drop the D.

Yeah, it's all better when you drop the D. Scotland and Northern Ireland are calling for public referendums while Wales has not established a timetable. " So, Scotland previously rejected independence in 2014 with a 55 to 45 percent vote. - So, it was close.

- It was close. - It was close. - But that one guy stood up and yelled, "Freedom," and then they didn't. - Wow.

- Well, they draw and courted it, man. That's just what happens. And then they hung it from the bridge and, you know, from the clock tower and everything else. - I've heard about that.

- Yeah. K. is breaking apart. Have you heard the real story about William Wallace?

No, tell me. It's super interesting. Okay. He was basically just like a miscreant.

He was just like a troublemaker. Oh, like me. He was pretty much you. So I'm William Wallace.

He was pretty much you, and when it comes to the whole-- So I'm gonna be-- what is it called? Drawn and Corder. I'm gonna be Drawn and Corder. When it comes to the whole bravery thing and being very, very tactical as far as his way of operating It wasn't actually that, it's just that he was really, really good at being a bit of a trickster and kind of cheating in warfare to get ahead.

Well, that's what warfare is. There's no rules to warfare. Well, I mean, there is supposedly rules, but yeah. Well, that's what the Marines said, if you're not cheating, you're not trying.

I mean, Abraham Lincoln was in a duel and he said, here's what we're going to do. You're going to stand in this ditch for the duel or something like that. Did you hear about this? No.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, man. Put him in the hole. Yeah, here are the rules for this duel in order to keep it even or something like that. Oh, because he was so tall.

But there are rules of engagement. Like, you're not allowed to use hollow-point ammo in warfare. Isn't that odd? Okay, but now we can send, like, a bajillion drones.

Yes, you can. Right. We don't need bullets anymore. We can just put a missile on the bottom of this thing, like some type of explosive and just...

It's not even a missile. Like, I watched a video of an actual drone attack where they assassinated somebody with this thing. It is horrible. They just explode.

So, not only do they explode, so basically there's a vehicle and this guy is being chased by this drone around this car and he's basically keeping the car in between him because he doesn't want to die and then all of a sudden he gets tired, I mean the drone doesn't get tired, he gets tired. So then all of a sudden the drone sees it shot and like on the belly of the drone is a small amount of explosive and this is the guy's face and it just goes bang and that's it, he's gone, dead, horrible. Why didn't he get in the car? I don't know.

Maybe he didn't have the keys. Maybe it wasn't his car. Maybe it wasn't his car. Then they just blow up the car.

But there's not enough explosive to really do anything like that, right? It's such a small amount that has to go right up against your forehead and basically there's a small little cavity that forms in your forehead. Like went right for the gas tank. So do you think that the technology gets so advanced that eventually we go back to fighting with like sticks and spears and stuff?

You mean like we get wiped out and we reset? No, no. What happens is like we figure out how to counter the technology. - The technology with totally dismantling the technology.

- More technology. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, it eventually is like, well, here's how we shut down the drones. Like, okay, well, what's the caveat?

Well, you're shutting down everything else. Like, okay, so then what's, you know, how many lives are saved? - Oh, like an EMP. - Yeah, a big EMP or something.

It just wipes out everything. - Well, just, I don't know, just some type of, like, eventually we go back to, like, and you can't use swords 'cause the magnets will pull the, you know what I mean? Like something, something wild, like something wild. - I think you can always use a sword.

Not if the big magnet can dismantle it. But it's been wiped out by the EMP. Yeah, well, I don't know. I don't know, I don't know.

I don't have the answers, I don't have the answers, but I feel like eventually it goes back- To our sticks and rocks. To, yeah, old school methods. And then like the really fat, lazy countries are in trouble, you know? Which ones would those be?

No, no, don't say it, you're gonna upset more people. That would be us. Us, the Americans. Yeah, we're the most obese, I think.

Yeah. We are pretty obese. Some people are gonna come after us in war, I don't know, just saying, like imagine just having the technological advance where you can't fire a gun against these people, against your opponent, you know? Yeah.

Like, and don't tell me that it isn't capable. I think that's, you're probably on the horizon of that. Like, like the drone situation is out of control. I just, I saw the first episode of Lioness.

I'm like, oh my God. Yeah. And this is a TV show. The drone situation is out of control.

So they've actually got problems. And I was thinking about this in the car ride over here. It's funny you mentioned this. So the drone costs very inexpensive, right?

And they can send these things out. And what do you do? Do you fire missiles at the horde of drones? No, that's stupid.

A missile is like $25 million. And what are you going to take out? Like three or six of them, right? So they're developing lasers to take out the drones, right?

Unlike the ones that kill the mosquitoes. Yeah, right. It heats the internals of the drone and then it can't work. But the problem is it can only take out one drone at a time.

And so I'm thinking to myself, Well, we started with missiles, then we went to lasers. Why are we getting so complicated? If the drone is cheap, just send a drone to kill the drone. Doesn't that make sense?

Fight fire with fire? What if it was like a gigantic, like a laser beam with the wide, just-- Can't do it, it has to be focused in order to generate enough heat. Not yet. Not yet.

Right, right before we get to this, just clear 'em out. Lasers have problems with weather, fog, stuff like that. You can see 'em better in the fog. - You can, but also the heat doesn't transfer the same as well.

- I'm sure there's a way around all of these things. The technology just hasn't advanced yet, you know? - So you see the 9/11 thing with the drones where they sent out the exact number of drones as people that died in the towers? - Yeah.

- And they flew up and they did these things and then they made the towers out of drones? - Yes. - That was pretty cool. - That's cool.

- Oh, look, that's cool. - I mean, the exact size. - That's pretty cool. - Yeah, it was cool.

- Okay, all right. K. revolution seceding. They want to, but they can't, so I mean.

" Yeah, that's the problem. There's a king that we don't allow this. Yeah, I remember a group of people. Yeah, they were also under the king.

They were also under the king, and they didn't want to pay taxes. Well, they can't come over here. We don't have room. They were us.

I know, but, I mean, what we did is we went and found our own country. So, if Scotland's gonna come over here, there's no reason. No worries. They have their own country.

Yeah, but it's connected though. So were we. We disconnected. We disconnected.

Yeah. You see how that works? Hey, nevermind. He's so agitated.

I'm not agitated. I'm not agitated. All right. It's not automatic.

What do you call it? The continent of what yesterday? What? Continent of Greenland.

Greenland. All right. You guys want to join the FBI? I think you're both qualified for the FBI now.

No, because I'm not involved in being a Bestiality. Or prostitution. Or prostitution. You can do either one.

FBI Director Cash Patel has removed the automatic disqualification for certain applicants with past involvement in prostitution or bestiality. Yeah. It's all okay now. Yeah.

Like, I have a theory behind this. Read the story. It's disgusting. Okay.

All right, those cases can now receive individual reviews. So now we're on a case-by-case basis. Yeah. So I guess it depends on when was the last time you had bestiality and when was the last time you either were a prostitute You know, a prostitute or with a prostitute.

Yeah. Yeah, so, and like his defense to this, when he peddled it back, he was like, well, we're trying to protect the victims of prostitution, the victims of bestiality, if they ever want to become FBI agents. The victims of bestiality? What are you talking about?

Yeah, what kind of pool are we drawing from? Are you protecting FIDO? If FIDO wants to become the FBI agent? And here's my theory behind it that's really, really messed up.

That's an infiltration of people that you don't want in power being in power, right? Because you have to take a lie detector test in order to get these positions. Among other things. So if you say, yeah, you know, I screwed a goat, right?

Well, check the box, he's not allowed in, right? But if homeboy that came over from wherever screwed a goat and now we no longer have that rule, we can take him and we can put him and actually have him be part of the FBI, right? - So no goats, so we don't want the goat screwers. - No, the goat fuckers are out, I don't want them being part of the FBI.

- It's not the guy who decided I would like to do a goat, it's the guy who was forced to do a goat. - Right, yes, yeah, that was his defense. - To protect trafficking and sexual abuse victims who may have been forced into these acts. - Right, yeah.

- Not to excuse willing participants. - Right. - So just because you like Fido, that's not okay. But if angry made you do Fido, then you're okay.

Right. Yeah. Crazy. This is wild.

And it's true. Like, they're talking about it at the Capitol right now. It's being debated. This is insane.

Is it such a problem where they have all these victims of trafficking and sexual abuse? No, again, so there's got to be another angle. And the only thing that I can think of is, like, as people are immigrating into this country and you need people of like mind that you might have to be in positions of power, but they might have fucked a goat, you have to figure out a way to get them into power. Well, let's word it correctly, it might have been forced.

Might have been forced to fucking go. Yeah, allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly on all of that.

Just for the record. Yeah. And it has to be 10 years, you have to be clean for 10 years. No goading or prostitution for the last 10 years.

That's the line. And it couldn't have happened more than three or four times. It's a loose term, it's three or four. Happened three or more times.

Oh, sorry, not four, three or more times. So, it has to be 10 years clean, and you couldn't have done it more than three times. This is retarded. So, if you did it four times?

Sorry, that's the line. That's the line. That's the line we put in right there, four times. That's the line.

And it's only been nine years since you last had your goat, so. This is where we're at. This is bad. So bad.

So, you don't, I mean, you don't have to be an American citizen to work for the FBI? I don't. Well, you... I mean, spy-wise, I'm guessing...

Yeah, no, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking, first of all, there are definitely people that have bad intentions That have become American citizens to execute those bad intentions, right? So you can be an American citizen, have bad intentions, and apply for the FBI, the CIA, of course, absolutely. Maybe that's where we draw a little, maybe you need to be a naturalized citizen to be part of.

Like you have to be born here? Yeah. I think the only thing we have that for is presidency. Right, I know, but maybe we should.

I don't necessarily agree with that either, though. I really don't. Well, it would eliminate a lot of these problems. You have to be a United States citizen or a citizen of the northern Mariana Islands to work for the FBI.

Right, but again, that doesn't mean that you weren't an immigrant. Yeah, it doesn't say naturalizing. And you have ill intent. I understand.

You just have to be, calm down, don't attack me. You have to have taken the test. Right. And raised your right hand and it's sworn in.

And then, you know, come clean about all your animal extravaganza. All about your dirty thoughts about the goat. Republican Senator John Kennedy strongly questioned why bestiality appeared in the policy at all, but Patel acknowledged having a similar initial reaction, but said staff showed him cases involving people who had been coerced as minors or trafficking victims. Doesn't say, though, that applied for the FBI.

I got news for you, bro. If you were coerced as a minor to have sex with an animal, I don't want you in a position of power. I'm sorry, because that's gonna do something to you mentally that you shouldn't have that much power. They're saying the position of trust is how they're arguing it.

So trust, power, same thing. Okay. Yeah. Okay, I don't know.

I have no idea. I don't have an answer for any of this. I can't give you an example in any portion of my life where, you know, somebody was forced to bang a sheep and if I think that they have some type of trauma or not. I just don't, I don't know.

So it's not fair for me to say whatever. I just don't know. You can't say that if you had sex with an animal that there may be some sort of trauma? No, I'm just saying that I don't, I've never, I've never come across the Sheepfunker, so...

Okay, but, but, but still, like, you know, um, uh, what was the guy in the wheelchair, Hawkins? Stephen Hawkins. Stephen Hawkins, thank you. Never been to another dimension, knew a lot about the other dimensions, like he understood string theory very, very well, right?

Yeah. So you, you can still have an opinion about things without having, you know, real knowledge about it. Well, everything he said is out the window, he went to the island. So there you go.

He too was involved in human trafficking. Yeah, exactly. But he could be part of the FBI if he wanted to. It's been 10 years.

So there you go. OK, all right. I guess you just jump to Cigar News 'cause I got 37. Oh, you don't want to talk about the volcano that erupted?

He really liked that story, he was saving it for life. This was the third story, like I need one more story. Ah, it's in Sicily, it erupts all the time, but it closed the airport. Great story It simply interrupts all the time The way you read the teaser is that you're thinking lava or something It was just ash in the sky They closed the airport Planes couldn't see, radar didn't work Numerous flights were cancelled, later diverted Oh beautiful, okay Cigar news?

Yeah, it says "Lava poses no threat". Yeah, it says "Lava poses no threat". The fast-forward part still doesn't work well, so just give me a second. Struggle is real.

Struggle is real. Let's see, is there another, I think there's another. Now on to Cigar News. Blackworks Studios releasing a new limited-edition cigar called Culture Vulture.

He doesn't have his headphones in. Good name. Who is he talking to? He's talking to you, but you can't hear him because you don't have your headphones in.

He's not talking to me. He knows I can't hear him. Do you want to say something, Mikey? No, I'm good.

And creator James Brown described it as the boldest blend the brand has ever produced. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper, accented with Connecticut Seed and Candela tobacco, creating an eye-catching ombre-style fade from green to yellow and back to green. Beneath that is an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a Nicaraguan filler. Culture Vulture is made at Fabrica Ovea Negra in SLE and will be available in three sizes: Panatella, a Robusto, and a Toro.

All three come in 20-count boxes. Prices range from? From the Panatella to the Toro. We have a window here, gentlemen, what do you think?

I'm gonna say $9 to $14. Yeah, I was gonna say $9 to $15. Very close. $13 to $14.

50. Very tight. The little guy's 13. The little guy's 13, yes.

Hmm. Production is limited to 500 boxes of the Panatella, 800 boxes each of the Robusto and Toro. Brown says the artwork and cigar were developed together to capture the same bold, unconventional energy. Culture Vulture is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers next week.

Can we try that one? Like you want to bring it in? I want to try it. I want to try it.

Can we talk to our rep or broker or whatever so I can try it? I mean, maybe. The problem is that it's an LE. I mean, how often- Is it an LE?

Yeah, you just heard it. It's 800 boxes of each Vitola. That's super small. It's not that small.

It's 2,400 boxes. You made 1,250 units of WBMD, so like, it's small. Those are eight-count boxes. True, but still small.

I doubt that we would be able to try it. I'm sure we could order it. Get him on the phone. Like right now?

Yeah. Yeah. Call later in a costume. Yeah.

Listen, here's what you have to do. Here's the disclaimer. You speaker it. You bring it close to the mic, close to the phone.

" Okay. That way, because... It covers all the legal. " He's not gonna answer.

doesn't want the sale and nobody want to work he could he could be with the customer he's not he's not going to hang up hang up yeah before they say the number yeah wow Not only didn't answer, he never empties his voicemail. Guess we'll never know. We'll never know. Never know what it tastes like.

Never know. Okay. All right. Moving on.

Oliva Cigar Company has unveiled its next Lunar New Year release. Nobody cares, and we're not covering this. Wait, what's the brand? Oliva?

Yeah. We're not covering it. Oh, okay. I have no idea why, and okay.

Why am I not covering this, Palmer? Why are we not covering it? I don't know. - I don't know off the top of my head.

- Oh, okay. - I ain't covering it. - But the next Lunar New Year's the GOAT, so, you know, I sort of tie it back in to the other story. - He needed his opportunity for the joke, Mike!

- Okay, okay, okay, okay, cover it. - No, no. - Yeah, no, 'cause I wanna have a laugh, I don't really care that much about it. - He needed his opportunity for the joke.

- Go ahead. - The limited edition Oliva Nea Year of the GOAT showcase at the Inter-Debec 2026 trade show. Trade Fair, oh, it's a Trade Fair. In Dortmund, Germany, the cigar features a Cameroon wrapper.

We know where that's coming from, too. - Mm-hmm, no, you don't, allegedly. - Allegedly. And a Nicaraguan binder and filler.

It's production, Tablicalera, Oliva, and Esteli, and comes in one size, a hefty six-by-sixty double toro, commonly called Gordo. Why are they calling it double toro? Production is limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars. Pricing is expected to be approximately $35 per cigar.

Big money. Depends upon what online retailer you want to find here. And if you are applying to the FBI, you can smoke the cigar. Yes.

There it is. You got us joking. They're not going to release it in the United States, so it's fine for the FBI. Yeah.

Okay. Goats. Oh, it's going to be in the Middle East. Maybe now you can't.

Wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. No. Well, I didn't know we're going to talk about the goats. It will be in the Middle East, though.

Yes. Oh, well, the next one's one of their cigars, too. How are they going to get it from the street? Are they going to get it to the street?

Adrian Acosta calling me. Oh. Answer, answer. Tell them his voicemails.

" Listen, you're on the podcast. Are you good with that? I'm good, brother. How are you?

I am well, my friend. How about yourself? Doing good? Very good, man.

Very good. Very good. So my brother had a question. What was the name of the cigar, Mike?

How the hell should I know? Culture Vulture. The Culture Vulture is launching. You're familiar with this, yes?

Oh, yes, I'm really familiar with it. Okay, very good. So, my brother wants to smoke it. Is that something we can do?

No. That's what I thought. You can not smoke it as a limited release from Blackworks Studio. Right.

And that is coming in hot for next week. So, that's a part of the drops that Black Label Trading and Blackworks Studio do every year. Black Label Trading do two drops. - Blackboard should do two drops a year.

- Right. All right. I'm gonna call you while we're not on the microphone to discuss potential moving forward with this. - This is really cool.

Thank you, Mike. - You're welcome. - Thank you, Greg. - All right, it's good to talk to you.

Bye. - Bye. - I told you, his answer was so short. Can we smoke it?

No. - No. - No. - No.

- He's not happening. - Okay. All right, what time we at? - Here, 45.

- Hour and a half. All right, it's time for the cigar industry's favorite game. Oh, you skipped the next one. Well, the next one was the same company.

Perfect. And it didn't involve the word goat. Right. Yeah, there's no need, there's no purpose in covering that company.

I refuse to. Screw 'em. More aggressive. You don't want anything to get more aggressive, but apparently I can't.

" or at that part of the show? " - Score, what's the score? - Score. - They can predict the cigar's half-wheel rating before the final score is revealed.

We'll give you the clues, you lock in your guess, then as the review unfolds, we move closer and closer to the answer. - Or do we? - Or do we? The player with the closest guess takes the win.

Light up, lock it in, let's play, what's the score? - I didn't hear you drink that time, Greg, good job. - Oh my God. - So the reviewer is Patrick Le Greed.

It was September 15, 2026. It is the Aga Norsa Leaf Anniversario Connecticut Tubo. So I can't tell you when you do a good job? No, it's fine.

What do you mean it's fine? Why are you so aggressive? It's just like, whatever. I was just happy that you didn't do it.

Just whatever. I was just acknowledging the fact that you... No, you just like acknowledging things. You intentionally didn't do what you normally do.

Did you not intentionally? No, it wasn't intentional. Oh, well then I take it back. Okay.

You're an asshole. That's fine. Okay. I'll take that.

90. Oh. 88. I don't even know what the cigar is.

He sucks the fun right out of this thing. Leaf Anniversario Connecticut Tubo. Okay. It's a 6x52 Round Toro from Nicaragua, Factories, Aganor Sub Blend.

Okay. I don't know where that, where's that factory at? Is that the Miami one? No.

No. No. Wrapper, Ecuadorian, Connecticut, binder, Nicaraguan filler, Nicaraguan. They smoked three.

89. 89. The flavors were balanced, smooth, and clearly defined with creaminess, pepper, earth, and dry wood creating notable complexity. 30.

29. The blend developed impressively through the first two thirds with meaningful flavor, transitions, and generally strong construction. 89, 91. Two of the three samples suffered serious combustion problems during the final third and required several relights.

86, 84. You're just throwing numbers now off of my number and that's ridiculous! You don't even play this game right! The reviewer considered that a flavorful, complex, and rewarding cigar that...

Oh, you did ChadGBD on this one. Yeah, I'm trying to streamline the game. Got you. Complex and rewarding cigar that remained approachable, although the final third became sharper and experienced burn problems.

The pepper never completely overwhelmed the profile. 86. 85. 86!

We're back, baby. We're back. Dominating this game. How's it feel?

Fine. To lose. Sing? Li-ho-zer.

Li-ho-zer. Li-ho-zer-her. He's gonna crunch the line. You're a terrible person.

You're a terrible person. You're a terrible person. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. We're all stupid if we're having to listen to you.

Yeah. Obnoxious. All right, Palmer, anything else to add? It's the end of the show, we can go now.

Okay, well, thank you, everybody, for watching. I have an hour and 45 minutes of stuff left in it for this. I have 75 hours to do this before. We can't pay anybody to do it because it doesn't make sense.

That doesn't mean he has to come to my house, too, does it, for 45 minutes? No, but they can upload everything. They can do it all. He can bring you the goat.

Yeah. He can bring you the goat. The back end of CH-Pod does make it faster for the uploading. I mean, I try my best to make this as efficient as possible.

For you. I mean, it made some things faster, it added a couple extra steps, but those steps don't make it longer. They add consistency on your description. Mike, just out of curiosity, why does it need the sound file?

What does it do with that? That's where it reads the transcripts from. Oh, okay. It can't just read it from the audio from the video?

It cannot. It can't hear it. Not yet. Just curious.

I didn't know why that part had to go up to. But anyways, thank you so much for listening or watching, viewing the show. com, us, Cigar Hoster's Podcast. We're going to release our Patreon today, so that's exciting.

Check that one out. What? Oh, because it's because of the month. Yep.

Well, I was just thinking because we haven't recorded it yet. Wait, do we have to do that now? We haven't done Patreon yet this week. Well, I'll be up today.

That's what I was, that's what I was like, what? I have things to do. Yeah, we're not doing that now, but it'll be up today. So, thank you very much.

Well, thank you very much. We hope we provide a great edutainment for you on this Thursday. Anything else? Don't call me at five o'clock asking where the Patreon is today.

All right. All right, guys. We gotta go. Thank you very much.

Bye.
