The Arturo Fuente Rare Pink Vintage 1960's Black Pink is the darker companion to the Rare Pink line, itself an offshoot of the celebrated Hemingway Series and a project dedicated to breast cancer awareness. Previewed at the 2025 PCA trade show, Black Pink shipped first to TAA member retailers before its nationwide release, making it one of the most elusive recent additions to the Fuente portfolio. The Work of Art takes its name and figurado silhouette from the beloved Hemingway vitola of the same size.
A dark Habano-seed wrapper grown in Connecticut over a blend of Dominican tobaccos, hand-rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic. The blend is entirely distinct from that of the original Rare Pink, and like all Hemingway-family cigars it is offered only in perfecto shapes — here a tapered 4 7/8 figurado that swells to a 60 ring gauge. Box count: 25 cigars.
A medium-to-full bodied smoke built around dark chocolate and espresso, with sweet cream, leather, and black pepper filling out the profile. The Connecticut Habano wrapper lends a deeper, richer character than the original Rare Pink, with cocoa, earth, and baking spice carried by a subtle underlying sweetness.
