Deadwood Tobacco Co. is the Deadwood, South Dakota cigar shop owned by Vaughn Boyd, and its blends began as single-store releases made by Drew Estate — Sweet Jane in 2009, with Crazy Alice and Fat Bottom Betty following around 2014. Marketed together as the "Three Yummy Bitches," the trio was taken national by Drew Estate in 2016 and showcased at that year's IPCPR Trade Show. Outlandish artwork and naturally sweet, aromatic blends have since earned the line a cult following well beyond the Old West town that spawned it.
Oily USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper over aged Nicaraguan binder and filler, finished with a sweetened cap. Handcrafted at La Gran Fábrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. Toro format. Box count: 10 cigars.
A medium-to-full smoke built on the natural sweetness of its aromatic, exotic tobaccos, laced with notes of anise, pepper, earth and dried fruit and floral tones on the back end. Layers of earth, leather and peppery spice sit beneath a creamy body and the pipe-tobacco-like aroma Deadwood fans know. The sweetened cap carries that sweetness from the first draw onward.
Pairs exceptionally well with coffee, bourbon, or even a dark soda.
A velvety, near-hour smoke suited to just about any time or place — approachable enough for newcomers and flavorful enough for seasoned smokers.
