Tatuaje is Pete Johnson's flagship brand, created in 2003 and blended in the Cuban tradition from Cuban-seed tobacco. The Miami Reserva cigars, part of the Seleccion de Cazador family, are rolled by Jose "Pepin" Garcia's team at the El Rey de los Habanos factory in Little Havana, Miami rather than in Nicaragua. Reserva editions such as the SW are made with higher-priming leaf for a richer, fuller expression of the house blend.
An Ecuadorian Habano (rosado claro) wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, built in the 7 x 47 Churchill format with a Cuban-style triple cap. Rolled entirely by hand at El Rey de los Habanos in Miami. Box count: 25 cigars.
The Original Tatuaje Reserva SW (Ecuadorian Habano) is a complex, cubanesque smoke that delivers a highly balanced profile of rich cedar, earthy leather, and roasted coffee beans. It begins with a prominent punch of cinnamon and red pepper, which smoothly mellows into a dominant wood-and-cream core. The blend is defined by a lingering, velvety-creamy texture on the palate that balances out its medium-to-full spice and strength.
Alcoholic: Aged Cuban Style Rum, Wheated Bourbon, or a Single Malt Scotch. Non-Alcoholic: Root beer, or a Cuban cortadito.
A refined, evolving classic. Allow ~90–120 minutes.
