Liga Privada Unico UF-13 Dark (5 1/2 x 52) Cigar

Liga Privada Unico Serie is Drew Estate's collection of one-off Liga Privada blends produced in small batches and released in a single size only. The UF-13 Dark took a long road to market — it began as the T52-4 blend that lost the internal head-to-head to T52-3, circulated privately as JD4 and then MF-13, and was finally renamed "UF-13 Dark" in a nod to the high Connecticut Broadleaf "Mediums" it uses. Two thousand prerelease cigars made for the canceled 2012 Cigar.com Gala were sold in January 2013 to benefit the Centro Sor Maria Romero orphanage in Estelí, with the full production release following that March. Connecticut Broadleaf "dark mediums" wrapper over a Brazilian Mata Fina binder with Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. Finished with the elaborate cabeza colita pigtail cap and rolled at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. Robusto format, 5 1/2 x 52. Box count: 12 cigars.

A dark, earthy flavor bomb built on espresso, oak, leather and a hard-to-describe meatiness, balanced by black pepper and sweetness. Reviewers also report chocolate, cedar, nut and a touch of citrus, with the profile deepening through the second half. Expect dense smoke output and a rich, creamy mouthfeel.
