Powstanie was founded by brothers Mike and Gregg Szczepankiewicz after major retailers began suppressing manufacturer inventory access to independent shops. Powstanie is Polish for 'uprising' — a name chosen to reflect the brand's mission of putting independent retailers first. The cigars are produced at Nica Sueño in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The Powstanie Habano Corona Gorda is a refined, medium-sized vitola at 5½ inches with a 46 ring gauge. The Habano wrapper brings natural oiliness and complexity, while the Nicaraguan core delivers depth and balance. Box count: 21 cigars.
